yeah. it's funny because it seems like, they decided to use the "religious right" to get themselves a solid base and thus always have a bid for power, but while they were brainwashing those people, it seems like it wasn't a one-way exchange of ideas, somehow the bit about having faith and dogma and stuff got transferred to the whole party, so like, even if all the evidence suggests that certain economic policies just Do Not Work, that doesn't matter, because they Know that they Are The Best policies!

Was the food at the banquet good?
they had a buffet-style meal: tossed salad (iceburg lettuce, cherry tomatoes & tons of onions), fettuccini pasta & marinara pasta, bread, & cupcakes. It was good, but you could tell that the men weren't very good menu planners. (And the only thing left over was the salad.
LOL The main thing is that they did it. I presume no wine...
My daughter is tryig to talk me into giving the pony a whole carrot and a whole apple but he is only allowed half of each - he is a fat little pig
I had been a den mother for 3 years when my son was young;& because of my working either evenings or nights all those years I never got to any of the banquets.
I like those community things. One day (another subject) someone left the gate open and we found the pony on our neighbour's farm in his hayshed
No wine; (although our grandson *whined* because he was too hungry & his 2 pasta dishes had about a quarter of an inch where 1 type toughed the other!

My cousin got an old pony for her kids when they were young. I think "Flame" was 25 or so when she bought him. He was the slowest little pony you ever saw -- until he had the slightest chance to escape& then he'd take off like crazy!

We had horses when I was a kid. But we always seemed to have a donkey and a pony around. The ponies were escape artists. I really loved the donkeys! So much fun.
