have been to see ruby. she looks well but is in quite a bit of pain still. and the pups, who normally carry on at visitors, acted like we were old friends.

the whole lake area is exquisite. the lake itself is the loveliest shade of aqua. ruby's home is to die for. she has beautiful taste in decor, and the gardens are gorgeous.

It's how they check your credit Owl...can't get or do anything anymore without a credit check.
the online form would not go through when they tried. and it is prepaid so if the charge does not go through, no service. they said it's required for anyone who will be billed and there is only one form.

She visited twice in the last 5 weeks, Crossy, and each week I lost 2 lbs from our hiking.
Crossy, if you compare them to other ultralight canoes/kayaks, they are a bargain. Plus, the ease of use makes them worthwhile.

When we lived further north, we used to plant two gardens--our own with 6 foot tall chicken wire fencing surrounding it, and another for the deer filled with lettuce.
*squeal* Bunnies! Remy has been jumping into bed to visit me every night for the last 2 weeks. I have had him for 2.5 years and he just figured out how to do this.
Well, sunflower sprouts are tasty. But I paid money for those, dammit!

Took the dog for a walk yesterday through the field behind my neighbors house. Spotted lots of black raspberry bushes. I want to dig them up and transplant them in my yard. A project for late fall, early winter.
Make sure you have them in an area you can contain. I can't get rid of the darned things, they multiply worse than bunnies...
Good! Want them to multiply. We had a huge cultivated row in our garden at our house in NY. Hope the new owner didn't chop them down. We fought the birds tooth and nail for those berries.

We used to be able to pick tons of wild ones in NY as well. Hubby was addicted to them.

that wouldn't be so bad. mine spring up anywhere we don't cut the grass... so, segos, azaleas, monkey grass, etc and all are painful to try to clear away... of course, we have trumpet vines that do the same... *rolls eyes*
Sounds like a case of jungle fever.
Ours matured early this year. They came out in April instead of May, but the grandsons didn't mind. They got most of them before the birds and daddy made a cobbler with the ones they didn't eat on the spot, lol...
