Nope. I have kerosene lamps and taper candles on board. as well as lots of ready-to-eat foodstuffs. seeing as how it is hovering right around the freezing mark and not too cold, the apartment should be fine for 24 hours before things really get chilly.

My jeep has a Dc/110v converter built into it. if I have to, I can back the thing right up to the patio door and have two usable outlets

Well, a fast tidbit is that all Chinese garlic imported into Canada must have uits entire root system cut out of it before shipment and sale to prevent accidental growth, whereas our locally grown garlic can be sold with its root system intact.
l am really happy -- no pain in the mornings and l'l up to strapping 96 lbs!

There's an awful insect, "stink bug" which came from China and has invaded25 states so far, in the millions! They come indoors in the winter,by the thousands, and the article said that there is no way to get rid of them. Homeowners say they're ready to burn their houses doiwn

Sounds aweful, Ruby. I take it they are not very nice smelling by the name they have been given.
They don't bite or sting, but they get into every possible space, hude on the backs of pictures, get into appiances, etc

the news out of Michigan is making me sad.....what the hell????
a 14 year old black kid missed the school bus, and tried to walk to school. On his way he was not sure which way to go, looking for a more direct route. He knocked on a door to ask for directions, and a white woman opened her door and lost her mind at the very sight of him. She is recorded on security video screaming "why did you pick my house?" and her husband, hearing his wife screaming, ran downstairs with his shotgun and blasted at the poor kid.
Luckily, the safety was still on, or else this story would have a VERY different ending. WHAT IS HAPPENING to this country?????

I got stung by a hornet last year; my arm swelled up; had a trip to the ED; but luckily that's as bad as it got.
That happened to me too. My hand was swollen
I wouldn’t like a trip to ED
they tell me that I'm allergic to "vespids" which means bees, hornets, & wasps. I've gone into the whole anaphyllaxis with throat swelling, etc. So when I get stung; it can be very worrysome
Not going to the ED could end up going to the morgue if you're allergic enough
