depends on why you need the ultrasound. My doc needed to rule out gallbladder issues, (I had terrible nerve pain in my upper stomach when I was pregnant, both times, nothing to be done about it but wait for babies to make a timely or untimely exit)

I don't think words of a specific dialect should be admitted - a lot of those scottish or southern USA words are known only by those who live in the region -- and a very small region at that.
It could be that the words were jonce very common but have fallen out of more common usage? lots of olde tyme English words as well
yes -- but to hear someone speak in a true Fife dialect you would never know what language they were speaking -- I suspect the same is true of the Orkneys - and it is not Gaelic that they are using
I like the richness of the language! My 2 vol Oxford English Dict (the one with the magnifying glass) is a favorite peruse on a rainy winter night.
