hi sweetie, no idea yet, lol. We moved house day before yesterday, then went and had a busy day yesterday to finish up the last things. So now we are here, settled and all, and I am starting to land. One great thing: this place feels way better than at canoe club. We don't know why, but Rob and I both feel more at home here in one day than we had at canoe club in over a year.
i'm doing okay. going into hospital tomorrow for my annual look-see of the colon. this time i'm going to ask the nurses for adult pull-ups.

and if you have any idea as to how to make my GP understand that a haemaglobin of 120 is NOT good in me i would be most grateful. because of the Gaisbok syndrome i have, my body functions on 140-150. the only doc. who understood that 120 in me was close to bottom was my haemo oncologist. and because i have been behaving he has discharged me.

yeah me too. except when my bloods were being naughty, and then they used to get all excited and wanted run extraordinary tests on me. it was so silly sometimes because the actual treatment for the gaisbok was to drain off a litre or two.

Caya is preparing for moving house in June. Did I tell you Julia is moving with her? They are gonna start living together officially there :D Am so happy for her. Tim and Lisa are doing well, managing the lockdown and working from home pretty well so far. Tim is not looking forward to his birthday, he thinks of skipping it this year. I told him to just postpone. This lockdown will not last.
I cannot stand direct sunlight. We have a tarp, but yeah, who knows, might splurge on a parasol as well.

it is a house, part of it lived in by two women (also a couple) that are friends of Caya's. Caya and Julia are gonna rent two rooms in the house, and share kitchen and bathroom etc.

oh, and it was announced today that some of our restrictions are being lifted. not a lot but enough so that families can be together, and we will be allowed to have close friends to visit.

well, I flossed off a crown and it has had temp. adhesive. Had some implants done and process interrupted, i.e., have the titanium implants but no crowns.
I have one implant and have postponed another as it is in the far back. I can live without an implant there, I think.

Just got take out burgers so we're good. I was going to make dinner but ran short. We need to go grocery shopping but people are too lazy about social distancing around here, so I might drive 50 miles to Costco. Sigh.
We are very good at wearing masks and social distancing here; except some people think masks are to be worn under the nose or on their chins. (not many, but it still is odd)
I'm sorry your area is so stubborn there about social distancing; I just hope that your numbers remain low. We were doing well -- until the meat processing plants blew our number of cases up.
Most people around here don't even wear them unless the business requires it. We didn't get hit very hard so there's a lot of people who don't think it's serious. And they are pissed because there is so little to do.
There are people who don't believe that masks control the spread of the virus. Statistics say that masks only control you spreading the virus to others.
Ironically, one of the jobs that is currently open here is at a packing plant.
That's right, wear the mask so that you won't give it to others.
But there are people wearing masks that think that means they won't get the virus. Which is unfortunate.

Very true, Molly. but at the same time, they are finding more & more asymptomatic people who are testing positive here. There was a 14 y/o kid who was supposed to get his braces off at Mayo and Mayo tests everyone who goes there. He came up positive as did his whole family; & none of them were symptomatic nor did they know where they caught it!

I have seen people wearing masks that say: THESE DON'T WORK. Not many are wearing seriously protective gear, so it is really just a "make people feel better about things" attempt.
I wear a mask when I leave my porch, but only to make others around me feel better. I haven't gone anywhere or interacted at a close distance with anyone in 8 weeks.
My daughter has made over 500 masks in her spare time & given them all alway.
But others I pass won't know that, so I wear the mask.
My son bought a 3D printer with the excuse that he would make face shields; I've assembled close to 30 of those & will be giving these away to a couple of places.

The face shields he makes are supposed to work with clear page separators with the 3 ring binder holes; except the holes are slightly off; so it's not quite as easy as it sounded.

Even if a mask "doesn't work" it reminds people around you to be careful.
