hi all :)
hi Atalante
this isn't a nice grid, I take it?
You can say that again...
Not for me, I don't know alot of the obscure words, haven't been playing long enough to learn them I guess. I rarely complete them, but I do have fun finding the ones I can, might help if I use the clue pages, but I don't.
oh lovely ...
that's all it is though, Cat. Fun finding words. And you'll soon start to recognise some of the wierd ones
I am with you Cat9: fun as far as it goes, which is not very...
I agree Atalante, I have learned some words I never knew by monkey typing :) And now I do recognize them when I see them again
mini
Hi everyone! ok, the ro8 and the ha8 have the same ending - one that is not on time
exactly Erda, I do get discouraged though when seems I am missing more than I can find
Hi mrp!
or it takes you forever to find a word you never heard of and never will
hey mrp we are in Miss ABS' class!!!
everyone starts that way, cat. its soooo frustrating, but really most of the "improvement" is just learning babble words - which you're doing!
durn
Hi paige and maddie!

Morning everyone! Seems I popped in just in time for the morning r4/6 ;)
Another clue - when the sheep has been sh5/12 don't forget to take off the first letter to get something that makes a noise.
he he - jess, you're in austrailia right? there are lots of people here from other places in the world, for example, I'm in israel and it's 10am right now :)

It is thick soap suds..starts with la..sounds like rather
soap
It's also another word for agitated.
i got a word
yay
to make another word, add two letters at the end of the word to make it mean 'more' like - she is strong, but he is strong**
not a shower, but a ****
Haz if you have the ae4 I've just found it can be extended to a 7, strange word.
Did you guys figure out that you can just add a vowel to L4/5?
Just back from getting coffee - yes, Atalante clued the ae7 a while back.
does anyone have a clue for ro 8/45?
LOL oh well.
How many words for today's?
what does 8/45 mean i dont get it
188
Thanks!!
There's 188 words all together
It means an eight letter word worth 45 points
188 allegedly though where they're going to come from is a mystery.
jess: it means 8 letters, 45 points
ok
8 is how many letters long the word is, and 45 is how many points its worth.
can u guys give me some clues
Hello again! back to it... I have 88 now
i have 6 words
I can attest to 129 of them. but the others certainly dont exist!
lol
lol
good going jess! this is a really hard one today
i have 86, looking for i's...
Hey MrP :)
Here's a small clue: rh 4/5, kind of bird.
Atalante (I have no idea what these words mean!)
ok
I only have 42 so far
another bird: th6/27
You'll get brownie points if you get al4/7. First three letters a type of alcoholic drink, then a 4 point letter.
hi mrpresident im one of ambras students
hello jess! welcome!
Just got me some brownie points. Sweet!
ambra is really nice can u give me some clues
I'd rather have brownines... :D
im not good at this
I made strawberry cheesecake yesterday, that will make for a good breakfast I think
jess a few clues for you... the th5 is where your neck is
for mu4/6. It's not a donket but a ....
greek cheese: fe4/7
jess... un5 is your mother's brother
ok
*donkey
It takes time. I love words, but it took me a good long time before I got semi good at this game. I've been playing for just under two years, and I have finished less than 5 puzzles. You'll get better.
oh i got it thanks mrpresident
I've been playing for about 6 months now, and I still have so much to learn
ok
being a word nerd does help a bit though :)
jess.. mi6 and mi7 are words all from the mi5 - something that hamburgers are made from
lol
I'm still working on that th6/27 bird
th6 is a bird with an itchy bum!
LOL mrp!
Or, the mi 5/14 is a type of pie.
boatierra....th6/27 is also something that breastfeeding mommy's have to worry about
ha ha
LOL, ya, still working on it ;)
th6/27 bird in a hurry
place for exchanging ideas: fo5/20
thats a good clue
th5 is a sharp rose
nice one Cg.
small bay or arm of the sea: in5/10
Bird in a hurry, bird with an itchy bum, breast feeding concerns...if I could just put it all togehter...;)
u all smell like poo
u all smell like poo
u all smell like poo
iditirod (sp?) driver: mu6/27
Anyone get the length 8 words? I could really use clues
al8 containing foil
ha8 and ro8 end with never on time
tks my pres for al8
Just got a th 5/14, th 6/24, A case, covering, or sheath, such as the pollen sac of an anther, the spore case of a moss, or the outer covering of the pupa of certain insects.
got ha8 tks
got ro8. Thanks alot (time to increase my vocabulary!)
boatierra...more clues for th5/14, 6/24?
can u guys give me some clues
what do u want? we're here to serve
huh what do u mean
I'll help if I can
I have nooooo idea where the rest of my a's are going to come from!
are you missing al8?
I hear ya Atalante
asure
oops, sorry, sheesh
I see you're trying random words like me :)
g2g guys
The ha8/55 word sure is an odd one! I was thinking it couoldn't be a real word but gave it a go none the less
do you have a hint for it, kitty?!
B'bye Jess!
Sure am Atalante, I'm stuck to just monkeying away :)
ctya
bye jess
ha8/55 means: Furnished with a small hook; hook-shaped.
ooh...thanks kitty, i forgot that i got that one after MUCH monkeytyping
ends with never on time (la4/4)
ty for that one
you're welcome :)
do you happen to have ro 8?
ro8/45 means: Arranged in little roselike clusters and it has the same ending as the ha8
ha8/55 sounds like you'e telling the pig meat that he is tardy with a southern accent!
haha! That's a good clue Frances :d
thank you so much for that, Frances!!!
Thank you
I am trying so hard to find the obscure ones, I am missing some obvious ones lol
anyone have clues for 7-letter words? i have 3 of them so far...
I'm just monkey typing away, found 5 words this way alread
found a few that way too Kitty
does anyone know what is different if you go pro? is that how you get to have an icon/profile?
sorry cg, I only have one 7 letter word so far
cat9x, which one? maybe i can help with two more...
I just went pro, yes you get all that plus the tils stats and word stats
i have the la7/32
I just went pro too, couldn't live without the stats
what are stats?
me either Kitty, thats the only reason I went pro
mi7=people who make the hamburger meat.
Thank you Avaneko!
no prob
its 2 grids below that show how many letter tiles are used in words in the grid, as you enter words, the numbers change. For instance, the top left i, is used in 6 words, and I have 2 of them.
meaning that the words start with that letter
sorry, didnt explain too well
hmm, i seem to have than anyway...so maybe i would get to have the icon and profile...
I had the stats free for 2 weeks, then they went away, so I went pro
you get them on a 14day free trial
The stats are only available for a trial period I believe
Same here
heh. this grid us one tile away from a big word that means carnal relations.
its worth the 14.95 to me to have the stats back
*is
It's an evil plot to get you addicted to them and once your trial period runs out, you just have to go pro so you can have them back! ;)
another clue for mi6/24,mi7/36: person/people who chop garlic into teeny little pieces...
LOL, Thats what I said to myself Kitty
ty cg
and yes, it is well worth the 14.95
how long is the trial period?
14 days
14 days
aha...i must be at about the end...so, next time i'm here, i'll have a profile...
the best $14.95 ever!
at 92 words, i think i'm stuck...still looking for i's...
There's only two sites I pay for, Babble and DeviantArt
Yay DA!
kittyvane, what is deviantart...sounds kinda kinky ;-)
it's an online art community
same here Kitty!
what's your name on dA?
I'm kittyvane there, as I am pretty much everywhere else on the net
Mine is the same.
what is the diff between Pro and Lickity's clues?
oh! nice gallery!!!
how do i play this game?
lickity actually gives you the list containing the first two letters of each word and their point values
and what does pro give?
the pro list tells you how many words are associated with each tile and how many you have found
hello everyone!!
tx
tash
hi Paige & Maddie - you're back? good to c ya!

you can make Kitty's clue plural too...
i have the doctor one
Hi Karys It's definately not just you!!!
thanks Mitch....makes me feel a lot better !
gr8, if you have the doctor one, you can change the first letter to make a few different words
one is a color
o thank you soo much Cat9x! i didn't get you at the start but noe i do! i never knew that was was word!
your welcome, I never knew it was a word either, don't feel bad :)

sure is, but some I missed are obvious, I think I'm staring at it too hard :)
hi
I've been tryinng too hard to find odd words so that I miss the really obvious ones
p&m - when you bang your knee it will be so**, add an 'l' on the end to make a different color

no i don't think so..........
a hint for one: a metal element that cooking foil is made from, minus the last two letters. then add the first two letters of solid water to the end of that.
hows your mom maddison?
you guys give me heaps of clues and i'm so gr8ful for it i need to give YOU some clues!
I'm beginning to think you guys are right about this one being difficult - didn't look so at first. How many words are we looking for?
does anyone have a hint for the as 6/21 that isn't not asea.
188 amanda
good nut thank you for asking
bendamalina the as* is not asea, but as*--on land
I have that one. I'm looking for the other, carrie. But thanks
pleasure maddison, would love to chat more with you, but work beckons
does anyone have the V words?
There are V words? Oh dear...
lol
there are 2 V words and I have none
lol
I do.
one v word is a small flower...but I haven't found it yet!
i have none either!
uh, fireworks again
yay!
woo hoo!
Well done Balker!
the other v word means something came from wine
the v words: start with the type of plant ivy is (first three letters), then end with the first two letters of solid ice
good job Balker!
the v words are NOT virus and vulcan - I tried and tried, but they just won't work!
vincent doesnt work either
LOL...amanda !
haha! I tried those too
nor that code-guy
I keep seeing Vulcan in there
the other v word: start with the first three letters of the type of plant that ivy is, then end with the abbreviation for the state that san francisco is in
lol
vure
ooops !!
I've got 3 un's : 2 5's and the 6/21. Does anyone have any clues for the 4 and the other 6?
nvm just found the 4.
does anyone have a hint for as 6/21? I already have the one that means on land.
I only need the 6 now.
Thank you Bendamalina!
does anyone have the word which is the T in the corner and 1 word can be made from it?
morning amanda

as6/21: she sells sea shells by the se******
un 4 is un + that solid block of water backwords
Hi haz
amanda, how are you etting on
cg530: I have that one, do you have a hint for the other one?\
the t word is t + an o/5 word
In general, Scatty, or with the grid?
both
bendamalina...which other one?
there are two as 6 and I only have the not asea one too
there are two as 6/21 words. I am looking for the one that you didn't just hint for
what are the first two letters?
as 6/21 is a king of stone what forms on the end of a cigarette + animal fat without the last consonant
not king -- kind of stone
i was given these different tabs from the dr's yesterday to help me sleep because of my back and woke up on the sofa at 5 this morning, they must work then
The grid's going a bit slowly - even though there are loads of clues in the log (I can't quite keep up with them!). Otherwise ok - looks like that sun I was enjoying has disappeared again...grr

we have sun at the moment, its got to be nice this weekend because i'm off to Holland for a long weekend

I thought the computer went mad on mine :-)
i'm going back to the grid, i'm safer there, i hope
heh, no wonder it didn't make sense! :D
Okay, bye for real this time.
lol
Shift the i and the c around and there would be a 9 letter fo word..... On second thoughts shift all the letters around and we might get somewhere.
100 words and bleary eyed...bye all...
well done cg530
bye CG
I have four left, but i think i have to go to sleep and get them tomorrow
Haz - we can all make up our own game :-)

It took my hairdresser quite a while - the shaggy dog look.
LOL!! gorgeous doggy!!
LOL Haz
oh my! I just figured out Avaneko and Haz's comments!
I declare that there are some mornings when I get up, I look in the mirror and decide that no hairdresser could achieve what my hair looks like.
I haven't yet - I thought Haz meant vindicate, but as far as I know that's not an ugly word...
My own hair, you understand - Spangle is pretty, isn't she?
Most mornings are like that for me
you must have the expensive look then! $180 and still I look like a dog!
...oh, and what's the "idiot word"?
err... cat!
It's a word beginning with fo, amanda. (not the idiot one)

thanks pine - wouldnt have to that
yes Amandaa thats the one
hmmm, maybe I'm the du*** lol
I think I need sleep, is there more than one word in the grid that means idiot?
Anyone got a clue for the T in the lower right corner?

I didn't see you yesterday, so didn't realise it was the same. Mine's the same, too. Clematis in the garden.
morning gramma!
I normally come on in the evening. But i started early today
I went to the list at 100, Mitch - my new tactic is to look at the "first letter counts" first, then I don't feel so much like I've cheated right away
i see we have the fireworks back. morning all
Good morning. how's the puzzle today?
Babble is financial death to self-employed folk like me. I babble when I should be working.

Yup
I love accidental typos. I typed bangalow this morning in an email, instead of bungalow. That got my imgination working!
Morning dear gang :)

jess go to Angelsongs page at the bottom you can find clues there
Hi mrP! :)
ok thanks
anyone got any clues for the d? that sucker is driving me crazy.
"the" D? Help, my stats panel says we need 8!
Do you mean di or du, mia
miametro a top opera singer
yeah, i meant the d as in the letter, not as in the one word, lol.
miametro - there is a d that maens you sit in the corner with the pointed hat on.
and one meaning sweet
haha, thanks dianne. that's me today!
Ata... that sweet is not the latin one, right?
mianetro - the last 2 d words are the beginning of a battery brand name - ending in cell.
similar
do u guys know laura michelle kelly a fomous singer
Won't take :(
in england
add a letter, sprite :)
Not me jess
Dianne Good to see you been a while!!
Yeah! Thanks, I was thinking too limited :)
never heard of her jess
ok
Dianne hates the new layout... but she loves us :)
miametro - another d word rhymes with a very fast cat.
Hi sprite - you are so right about the layout. I can only clue if I'm not doing the grid.
tiger? panther? lol. my clue head isn't on today, obviously.
I know, you told me :) Glad to see you, notwithstanding the d$#%^$ layout !
couger
The black one, mia.
miametro do u know a famous singer called laura kelly
the cat one is the russian parliament, Mia
Hi FMitch - yes, it has been a while.
there's a word that rhymes with couger?
no jess, never heard of her.
Nah, with the other name of cougar!
this grid is like pulling teeth!
do u know any famous singers in england
haha, i think i might give up on the d.
Rhymes with the end of satsuma
i only have 13 wordsa
One more D only! I just tried duvs...
i have 1 di and three du's.
d's: di4/8, du6/27, du4/7, du5/16, du4/6 x 3, du5/14
Keep looking jess Im sure you can find some more
1 di and 6 du's here
ok
its just so hard
one d is like what you do to socks, diff vowel
Best way is to try to get the t's or something instead, then go back to it.
Jess - think of your shoe stings. Then theing of what you might call the person that ties them.
and then the plural of that jess.
Du4/6 is missing here, one of the 3.
right. i'm missing du 6/27, du 5/16 and one du 4/6.
i cant figure it out
all the same with different ending letter
jess - what do you call the shoe strings?
jess, think of shoel___es
yeha but its not on here
Ah, of course! Thanks :)
without the shoe on front.
du6/27 mmeans sweet, as in a sound or tone.
done
YES YES I GOT IT LOL THANKS
ahh, thanks. i always thought that was spelt with an i.
Yeah for scraggly
Yeah scraggly!
congrats scraggly :)
du6/27 - think of "La D**** Vita" and play around with it
so sprite, how many words do you have now? :P
just missing the du 5/16 now.
dulca
Only 40!
oops!
jess when you wash with soap you get la....
good job it's not a word, lol.
better go and sit in a corner with a pointy cap then, miametro
you're close, Mia!
jess - when you are in a hurry you are in a ru**.
thanks
for the 5 or the 6? because i found the six..
i think i'd better had ata! lol
(that was a clue!)
that *was* a clue, lol, not a general pronouncement :)
oh! i have that one.. damn it! which one am i missing then? lol
take the 6, change a consonant, drop a consonant.
if you've got that one, the other 5 is a plural
Jess - when you have a bad cold and have trouble swallowing you might have a sore th****.
"close" was for the six - one 5 is a plural, one is a foolish hat
got it :) thanks guys! one day i'll learn how to play on my own, hehe.
thanks ut igot that one
hope not, miametro, that would spoil half of the fun ;)
im now on 17 tho
Good job, jess!
jess - what do you call your aunt's husband?
thanks
do you have the opposite of hard jess?
uncle but i got that but thaks any way
yes i do
ai jess... pls don't post words in the log?
oh im sooooooooooo sorry this is my first time so i hve practally no idea what to do so im soo sorry
np at all, we all try to avoid it, but sometimes it just happens :)
ok cool
right kids, the top i. are they all in's or are there some ic's?
Jess - if some one shows you 2 things and point to one and ask "do you want this one?" you might say "no, I want the ***** one".
or maybe some id's? lol
I'd love to have some icc ;)
6 in's, Mia, that's all the i's
i'd love to have some icecream! lol. even the bloomin grid is making me hungrys!
I've got all in's, but I've only got 4 of them
i've got the river and the one where you get used to something nasty
i dot get it dianne?
it was a film with nicole kidman jess, where the family were ghosts?
jess - it starts with ot. Good luck, I've got to go now.
ok
one in is a babblet, Mia - japanese box, i think
a babblet?
I am totally babbled. I find the babblets before the real words. Really!
babblet - a word nobody's ever heard of but repeatedly shows up in the grid
oooh! i getcha. i thought you meant like, a mini babble, lol. as in, in a 4 square or something.
i got it thanks
It being japanese explains why it has no plural, of course. Still 3 more i-words to go.
good afternoon! : )
Hi Babbler!
Hi Babbler
hi babbler

Ok, I guess we asked for that, Yoink :D

Hi Jen!

Ni + 1st 3 letters of what you must do very often in your house.
i do a lot of things in my house sprite, narrow it down a bit! lol
I only do it once a week myself...
I think this a job that should be done but not many of us do
{{Jen}}
mia - use the ni4 and add the last two letters from the mi5/14
oh, and change a vowel in the middle
{{Jera}}, I didn't know you are ill! Glad you are feeling better! :)
I'm missing one of the am 6/24s - I have the first one, but am missing one of the two that are listed together. help?
Hmz... there is this invisible stuff that sneakily settles down on all furniture and there reveals itself, especially when it catches the sun.
oh, thank you! god. that was driving me nuts. stupid latin words.
ylleria - one of them you wear to ward off the evil eye, the other is like the 4/5 right before it
Something bad happened to me this weekend, sun poisoning, hetstroke, food poisoning... something quick & evil.
Argh Jera, that is nasty! Are you feeling better now?
hope it goes away just as quickly, jera!
Still pretty weak, but okay if I don't cough. I'm still sore from the projectile vomiting...
{{hugs}} I'm glad you are doing better! Did you go to the Dr?

Good clue, amanda, thnx :)
Looks like it's going to be easier for me to take him in... since he's so little, riding the bus I will have to climb in & starp him into a carseat/booster. I don't know if you've been out my way recently, but going down my driveway is pretty much impossible for me now!
Jera, um, feel better. push fluids. nothing too acidic.
I'm hanging in there, spanner... all in all, life is good!

My story gets better. Second wife, I'm gonna kill her! Cut her head off. Ah, not expecting that, are we? Third wife gonna shoot her. Fourth wife, put her in a bag. Fifth wife, into outer space. Sixth wife, on a rotissamat. Seventh wife, made out of jam..." and the Pope is saying, "You crazy bugger! You can't do all this, what are you a Mormon? It's illegal. What have you been reading? Whales are intelligent. They do whale song. [imitates whale song] We don't know what it means. But I think whales are travelling at 78. They're travelling at 78 speed, if we take them up to 45 speed we'll find they're singing. [sings] I love you baby and if it's quite alright I love you baby, throughout the night, I love you baby, trust in me when I say.
Horseshoes are lucky. Horses have four bits of lucky nailed to their feet. They should be the luckiest animals in the world. They should rule the country. They should win all their horse races, at least. "In the fifth race today, every single horse was first equal...one horse threw a shoe came in third...the duck was ninth...and five ran."
I'll never get any words out today if I keep playing Eddie !!

Cake or death?" Uh, cake for me, too, please." "Very well! Give him cake, too! We're gonna run out of cake at this rate. You! Cake or death?" "Uh, death, please. No, cake! Cake! Cake, sorry. Sorry..." "You said death first, uh-uh, death first!" "Well, I meant cake!" "Oh, all right. You're lucky I'm Church of England!" Cake or death?"â€
ha ha ha it's all in the timing hetty!
and take off the 'l' at the end for th5/14
[as Pavlov] Day 1: Rang bell, dog ate food. Very excited. Day 2: Rang bell louder dog even more food. Have become welsh. Day 3: Like speaking in Welsh so have decided to continue in that way, rang bell, dog ate so much that he explodes. Win Nobel dog prize at Crofts. But he never published his cat results did he? Oh yes they were hushed up. Day 1: Rang bell, cat fucked off. Day 2: Rang bell cat went and answered door. Day 3: Rang bell, cat said he eaten earlier. Cheeky bugger. Day 4: Went to ring bell but cat had stolen batteries! Final day, day 5: rang bell with new batteries but cat put his paw on bell so it made a 'thunk' noise. Then cat rang his own bell! I... ate food.

“And the National Rifle Association says that, "Guns don't kill people, people do,†but I think the gun helps, you know? I think it helps. I just think just standing there going, "Bang!" That's not going to kill too many people, is it? You'd have to be really dodgy on the heart to have that…â€

Zanglebert Dingleback! Winglebert Humptiback! Slupbum Waller!" "What?" "Alright, Kringlebert Fishtibuns! Steveibuns Buttrentrunden..." "No, Jerry Dorsey! I like—" "No we can't... Jerry Dorsey, Englerbert Humptiback, Zinglebert Bambledack, Engelbert Humperdinck, Dinglebert Wingledank" "No, no, go back one!"
thanks movieman and jacula... i would think of it as rhyming with those natives of mexico, not the aztecs or mayans
This is your pilot speaking. Welcome to flight one from here to there. We'll be flying at a height of ten feet, going up to twelve and a half feet if we see anything big. My copilot today, is a flask of coffee.
"Bless me, Father, for I have sinned. I did an original sin. I poked a badger with a spoon." "Say five Hail Marys and six Hello Dollys!"
now y'all are repeating yourselves, each other and me... believe me, I cream for Mr. Izzard, but could we, you know, have a change of subject?
sorry for the crudity of last comment...
Aussieme - They didn't make the name up. Engelbert Humperdinck (1854 - 1921) was the composer of the Hansel & Greta opera.
I'm finding the chatbox entries today hilarious. Thanks, movieman and Aussieme in paticular, for starting my day off so well
Jacula, LOVE the icon!!!!!!!!!!!
jbp - Thanks. Looks a bit fishy to me though.;-)

Hi Hetty.

Can't make out your icon --old eyes.Is it the broome we all love slapped by a fish?

lol!!! Jac...that is priceless!
how many words pls?
188 today clairemcg
188 words today, claire.
OK. I'll do that. But to me, the "handbag has always resembled head and shoulders of a person--pink t-shirt for gals and blue for guys--guess it's all in the p-erception
Aussieme - I guessed that. LOL. BTW, did you see Lee Evans on tv a couple of nights ago?
dear Aussie, who is Eddie Izzard? You are hilarious.
Yeah I did Jac, he was tremendous..... I nearly went into labour laughing !!
anybody with weird m's out there? i need two and mine are mostly normal except for a couple mu 4/6's
Hetty - I was here when the 'handbags' appeared. I said it looked like a handbag, someone else said crystal ball but, somehow, the 'handbag' thing stuck.
Aussie - the wife at the airport in her flipflops and holiday earrings. Sharing a 4' bath with the shpwer dripping on your head... tee, hee, hee.
i'm pretty sure that doc's intent was that it is the head and shoulders of a person, hetty.
Hi Jacs I remember that time too, funny to think there was a time before stat list and being pro.
it's like a chat icon
We know it's really a head and shoulders but calling it a handbag is more fun.
Annie, who is Eddie Izzard...... British Comedian, born Feb 7th, 1962
thanks
I know Jac, I could have died laughing.....
Thanks, Jac, I've seen it now and I was on track after all. Great find. I love the icon changes but don't make them because I've found one that sortof sums me up in perpetuity, and I don't like change --for myself, that is. Love it in others. Thanks for showing me my perception wasn't totally off the wall, Hursh
check out Eddieizzard.com...
Hi FMitch. I think that's why I still work the stats out myself and work mostly listless. It's because I got used to doing it in the beginning.
my hubby used to fall off the sofa watching Benny Hill over here he was laughing so hard.
Jac, and all those bangles !!
are there 2 f 6's, or more?
Once I played Bertie in THE CLUB and everyone said I was just like Bennie Hill. Never got over it.
just 2
Annie - the only person I've ever seen actually fall off a chair laughing was my b/f when he was listening to an old tape of mine by comedian Mike Harding. It was the curry house sketch.

dic - when you complete a grid you get firewoks graphic and congratulations
you mean all the words? geeze. Im only at 76
mm both v words start with wine
Oh are the fireworks back again? keep going then....
thank you aknitter
re your earlier lost look at likety's list under firends of babble that how people know the 1st 2 letters and number counts. 76 is a good start as todays grid is a real doozie.
dic444 they are a display Dr_God s built into the site to go off when a babbler completes the grid. Fo a while they worked, then they didn't (like for me yesterday) now apparnetly they are back. To see them you must earn them!
pls some clues for the v words...at a loss here
Re the fireworks Dr_G did not realise they had stopped working. I emailed him yesterday evening to let him know.
thnk of a plant from the periwinkle family
the first one is a plant --- first 3 letters of Italian wine + abbreviation for a far western US state
So we really have you to thank for them being restored, FMitch - a fine achievement, if I may say so.
the other is something derived from wine
y/w Haz
Bravo FMitch - except the site was being hateful last night and didn't give me any even though others got them.
Hi everyone!!! Should have read FMitch's post on today's being a "doozie" before entering some words... putting my Babble training wheels back on.
ok I have the plant...looking for the other one:) ty
It is more of a doozie than it first appeared Mama but I'm not totally frustrated yet.
What is a good average score?
Well I'll give it a shot anyway....
dic it just depends - word count changes every day. There are 188 words today
any du clues? i only have the harsh one
out of 188, what is good?
du6/27 - an adjective often used with 'tones'
188 if you ask me. But I'm an over achiever - just play until you can't stand it any more.
gettin close
du4/7 - russian parliament
depends on how much time you have/your vocabulary when I started I aimed for about 1/2 up to about 2/3 now
du5/16 - a cap worn by victorian schoolchildren to indicate their stupidity.
dlc it also depends on if you want to use aids like the licketys link at the bottom of the page
i think i am wearing that du cap today!
very true Sign, and then as the addiction grows you just get totally sucked in LOL
lol ty knit:) found a word
dic the beauty of this game is that we all work together. You are only competing against yourself
Oh wonderful....something I may actually be able to finish today!
I figured.
Got turned on to this by a professor. It will be my new addiction
TIme to make tea. Will be back later to continue the struggle. It'll be worth it to see fireworks (courtesy of FMitch)
yes...tyvm FMitch
bye Haz - see you soon.

Hi stid be back soon
{{{{stid}}}}
whoa, the chat box works on a PC. Hi everyone!
any help on the ru/6?
hi daisy!!!!
hi MB!
don't have it yet, dick
ru6: fast walk + allow
I haven't babbled for so long - I forgot how much fun it is - having trouble now getting any work done!! LOL
It's good to see you back Mamabear!!
Thanks FMitch!!!
mmmmm crackers and cheese - I can eat and babble at the same time
Yes, babble & lunch go well together!
not too many crumbs in the keyboared musicmom
Nope I'll be careful
Can anyone help with un6/21?
ta5/12? I'm just not seeing it.
hi daisy -- dove right into finding as many of the clues as I could understand.... down to 70 words. This grid seems harder than yesterday.
hi all!
hi Fiz
Hi Fiz!!
I can't seem to help with any of the recent requests. I'm down to 77 words left -- no list yet
un6/21: fake
I have 87 left...been here off and on since a little after 6
aha -- Didn't see that r4
un6/21 -- hardly real
missed you all - life's been *crazy* - nothing like a little babble to puth things back in perspective!
haha -- the grids this week have been un 6/21!
Thanks, Erda. One word to go. It's an sh.
Missed you too Fiz --- no doubt Stid -- crazy
I'll trade you an sh for my last three t's!
It always seems to correspond that when I am very busy the grids are huge but when I have time to play they are easy
Got it. Fireworks! Which t's do you need, gwenski?
I've noticed that too MM
Brava, Hydra! Which of your heads did it???
ta5/12, and two th's. Lemme see which ones...
Bravo Hydra
th 6/21 after the prickly one
to5/12. And congrats!
ta5/12 means sloping mass of debris at base of cliff. Think of a 4 letter word meaning strong desire, then remove final consonant.
to 5/12. A song has a verse and a ------. Swap first 2 letters for the t!
YAY hydra!
done!
woohoo Angel!!!!!!
Congrats, Angel!!!!
Bravo angelsong
Thanks, Hydra! Just found the th, too!!
th6/21: stand over someone cursing and waving your fist and you're issuing a ------.
the "verse" clue did it for me:) ty
YAY angelsong!
Thanks for the congrats. I'll finish my work now than collapse in front of the TV. Boyfriend is cooking dinner tonight!
all I can think of is verse and refrain.....
(yay for boyfriends)
Well, now I need to declare lunch break over and get back to work. Thanks again for the clues!
Think of another word for refrain...
Erda, the people who are not the stars but support the musical by background songs and bridges...
It's also a name for a group of people who sing together
Erda - you sing in a ch
or perhaps a group of singers
orus
okay erda, now add the T!
yay -- got it -- another word I never heard of and never will again
Erda - store it away to babble another day
I'll try, musicmom -- some of these words just refuse to stick to me
good advice mm, you never know when the word will crop up again (and they do).
okay, I am going to the list... I have a Life too, you know!
I need an as6 - I have to get off the boat
I just did for the same reason Stid. 68 words left
you just defined it, musicmom
I have 111 left.
but there are two -- do they mean the same?
the list just got me the al 8...
in 6/24 anyone?
I'll probably go list as soon as s/o goes to work
in+ what you tie your shoes with
inlace
where's 'the list' ?

My advice and 1.00 buys you a cup of coffee but sure
crap --- sorry --- used a word
join the club mm
Whats up Fiz?
lol - that's kind of how I'm feeling about my own wisdom, MM. I need to get a special gift for my partner, who's celebrating 8 years of sobriety. and I'm CLUELESS
thanks musicmom -- didn't have it yet and every little bit helps today!
Fiz...that's awesome...so is mine:)
What did (s)he replace the alcohol with?
I mean hobbies, food etc
TheFiz -- a really nice dinner out?
caviar and champagne
ha 8/55 clue please
hi jeffer!
pork product+vowel+not early
wow that is great, and yes a hard thing to buy for.
ERda - champagne would be a bad idea
For about 5 years, she poured her heart into this amazing fish tank. Then we moved and she changed jobs and we never set it up in the new house. which gives me a great idea.
oops -- SO sorry -- beating myself over the head...
not "mock" champagne:) we do that...and fake beer...and wine...and we're fine:)
and in case you're wondering (just looked it up) ha 8 means "Furnished with a small hook; hook-shaped"
Oh didn't think of that daisy
Is it warm enough in your part of the world for a great picnic, Fiz?
TheFiz - I would celebrate by setting up the tank
ty musicmom
yw
hello stidmama
TheFiz -- that sounds like an AWESOME gift!
I think the fish tank is a great idea too!
or getting a smaller one or something if that one doesn't work int he new space
Marine or freshwater, Fiz?
(chanting) fish, fish, fish -- but NOT fish for dinner that night!
Freshwater - and I better do some research, goldfish in a bowl are about my level of expertise.
thanks, all - you're awesome.
Get to a good aquarium store - they can help select fish that work well together. Tetras are great for starting a tank, as are rasboras - both are hardy and look pretty in schools.
tetras are nice freshwater fish and they're pretty.
and make sure you get "other" bits too - snails, weed etc
TheFiz -- maybe a gift certificate to the fish store that she could pour her energy into since she enjoys that
brb need to take care of business
Get a nice book on fishes and a gift certificate!
gift certificate to go along with tank and starter fish...
Oh, that's good, musicmom. It's always lovely to be able to pick part of the gift yourself!
hi all. time to kill time at work.

the first lu 5 anyone?
stid...you mean the necklace one?
necklace?
it's a am word:)
Stidmama -- here it is erev tov (8:30 p.m.)
Stid, one is a charm necklace; the am/4 that follows is like your bowel opening with "n" changed to "m"
then erev tov! hope your day went well. :-)

Mamabear, I'm coming to Chicago in 2 weeks to visit my sister in Highland Park
lol sweet! i love camping
The du's 2 end in vowels and one doesn't
one DU 4/6 is not plural.
ARB -- my father's aunt and uncle used to live in Highland Park! (can't believe I actually know where something is...)
WOW, ARB - that's awesome! The weather has been great - hope it holds out for you!
You can take a left or right t***, but just start it with a D
thanks, Mamabear -- it broke my ce drought. lol.
Well du4.6!!!!
nothing like a "subtle" clue!
speaking of "go", Stid...I wish HE would...grrr...
well daisy, think "happy" thoughts and draw customers to call... ;-)
lol I wish! Nexicore has gone to pot...
I am stuck on the first two du words at the moment, a 6 followed by a 4/7
Mambear, you should know better -- weather changes more often in a day in Chicago than anywhere else in the world, I think.
got the 4/7...
the 6 is an adjective often used with tones --- soothng sounds
du 6/27 -- has to do with a sweet gentle voice
this is true, ARB! I have lived here all my life.
du 4/7 du + what country kids call their mother
du 5/16 a child who wears that long pointy hat when the are bad in school.
"sweet" was the clue I needed! thanks for the help!
my aunt, whose name means sweet has a voice that is anything but!
ae 7? anybody?
the weather in Chicago does not compare to Denver... live in Chi for 33 years, Denver now for 4 and oh my....
(snicker)
ae4+past tense of opp of stand

Well done Karys - this wasn't an easy grid!
I have to try to ignore chat for the last few or I would never finish
I enjoyed it tho' Haz
I despaired early on because there were so few runs of words - in contrast to yesterday's grid. But the words were all there after all.
yesterday's was fun....but todays made me think

I saw the movie, I'll trade my non-professional opinion for a clue on al8/55 :)
lol
Latin O level - happy days.
I haven't seen it yet either...but I read the book. The book was like a film script so I'm sure the movie will be any different from the book
I love all the religious furore around the book. At what point did Mr Brown say it wasnt FICTION! All that free publicity, I bet hes laughing all the way to the bank.
I read the book and saw the film. I enjoyed the movie, but since I knew all the twists and turns it wasn't too suspensful...
it's the metal Hawkeye....just extend

The last to 6 - t plus ot5/12

un 6/24 is what you do before taking off your shoes
no, this is my real name. My parents must have been on drugs when they named me.
How old are your kids, FranMag? Mine are 10 & 4 1/2
Maybe they were BG fans, anders?
well hey...don't feel bad...my first name is spelt funny...and I accused my mother of being snockered when she did that:)
jera, mine are 1 and 3, baby just turned 1 on Sunday
they name my brothers David and Jonathan, and I get anders.
well I like your name, very much:)
dont feel bad i got luwanda
thanks for that un6/24 all
ditto what Fran said
i like unique names - better than being one of 5 kids in the same class with the same name!
I'm new here
fe6/30? i think i have a mental block for 6 letter words that don't come off of the previous word!
hi reese's!
hi reese, have fun
hello all -- I got libarebel...
it wasn't easy to learn to write in cursive
ok anders
I WAS in a class with 3 or 4 girls with the same name! mine was just spelt different from all of theirs
hey, in my family we used the name Tom 4 times, and the name Nancy twice -- sometimes better to be original and go with Luwanda or Anders
Anders - wonderful name! Many in my Swedish family history. My first son is Erik, second is Lars.
nrkiii...Stid's family has the "Tom" thing going on too!
Ok, I'll forgive the parents ...
I have 7 left. better get back to it...
ah, finally got the un6/24 - my mind is obviously gone
folks, quick favor - i'm doing some fun quote IDs for bonuses on my precalc exam and my husband thinks nobody will know them - i want to see how many of you know them...first... "close your mouth, please, Michael, we are not a codfish" - name the source and the speaker. :) :) :)
As a former teacher, I would have been looking forward to meeting that boy when I saw the name Anders on my list.
Hee! Mary Poppins!
it was my mother's college roomate's name - I like it as an adult
mary poppins
(Both source and speaker.)
oh, and hi
Mary Poppins for the quote
hi, wassup

Hello hurshy, how ya doin'
who was looking for the FE 6? Still need it? I just found it.
fine, and you marc?
hey marc freeman I have a principal with your last name at my school
me! me! nrkii!
That would be me, nrkii. Both of them, actually.
My cousin vinny, I think
hmmm, that one must be harder than i thought.
He must be brilliant.
yay anders!

fe + golden ****, but change last vowel
nice anders... i don't know that movie well enough
sometimes
more hurshy!!!! :)
Hurshy, perhaps nightrider black car late night show long ago
Yea, I get that a lot to.
ok, here's another one "if the homo sapiens really were *homo* sapiens, is that why they're extinct?"
and the other one means with passion or zeal
yeah i bet you do
giv'em - no, anders was right, it was from my cousin vinny. :)
Joey from Friends.
pauly shore, biodome? or son in law?
oh, that's it kaetchen
"Joey, homosapiens are PEOPLE!"
excellent, kaetchen :)
I clearly need to get a life.
hey, i'm not judgin

You are all very funny. How long have you all been doing this?
the quote thing - about five minutes.
couple of months giv'em. welcome!
Thanks from Hawaii
i don't know hurshy
Nrkii, I'm still lost on the fe 6. Any other ideas? Thank!
Hey, no jokes about Iowa. I am from Iowa, the greatest state in the Union. Best kept secret.
fran, kaetchen, luwanda, got those fe 6 words?
someone out there knows this one...
Nope, still completely lost, nrkii.
kaetchen, the first is fe + rhymes with moola
it's not a joke about Iowa, really..
star trek 4? it's a guess
giv'em! go put yourself on the frappr map, i'm the only one on it from hawaii right now.
Star trek capt. Kirk
working on them nrkii, had to take a phone call
yeah anders and pthomp! :) i was torn between that and the LDS one, or spock from st6 saying "i've been dead before."
second one sounds like fuzzy stuff on animal + not audio but ***eo
wnet to check on the bee and take pictures
Hurshy, really what about Iowa, I missed it?
Wow, the closest I've seen to that word is the thing that seals a pencil eraser to the pencil itself.
and the other one, well, i quoted it just a few days ago so i know people know it but i'll say it just cause it's fun...
Whats a frappr map?
firefly, could I bug you for a hint on the al 6 please?
thanks nrkii!! got them
a clue for the in 6/21 please
Whew. Finally. Thanks, nrkii!
"tyrone, you know how much i love watching you work, but i've got my country's 500th anniversary to plan, my wedding to arrange, my wife to murder, and guilder to frame for it. i'm swamped."
sure nrkii - think of what soda cans are made of...
thanks
giv'em, it's a map of babblers go to www.frappr.com/babble and you'll see
anders, same as un 6/24
Aw, it's the Princess Bride!
princess bride, prince humperdink!
:)
We may be telling you more about our collective ages than about who knows these quotes, hurshy!
sorry I meant in 6/27
firefly,tx!
princess bride- I got one!!!
i must not pay attention very well at movies, i can never remember lines
yeah, no kidding kaetchen.
ro 8/45 anyone?
marc - the iowa quote was from star trek IV, it was just funny because they were back in time in the 20th century and this lady was realizing that kirk was not quite...quite. and she said, let me guess, you're from outer space. and he said, no, i'm from iowa, i only work in outer space.
Hurshy, still missed the whole Iowa thing, I'm interested.
"Let's go eat sushi and not pay."
hey.. we might have kids your age that watched these shows over and over until the subliminally entered our brains.
my kids watched it almostas many times as "Harry and the hendersons
3 left...will probably throw myself on your mercies and beg
go daisy! i have 10 to go, but i got distracted by phone calls
nrkii - did you get the al8 then?
not a clue ping, but it sounds funny
yes, tx!
i loved Harry and the Hendersons!
yw nrkii
in 6/24, al 4/5, al 4/7
al8?
Right, there is a town near where I live about 30 minutes called Riverside. They have adobted their city as the birthplace of Captain Kirk. They have a large replica of the space ship and every year they have a Star Trek convention. Wild
EEK! My friend Sarah!! (I'm so bored!!!)
Luwanda see 6:08 for my clue to nrkii for the 6 - should get you to the eight from there
Hello! I just checked to see if you were on and you weren't! you must have JUST signed on
Alien, thanks for the picture! See you tomorrow!
ty
daisy, in6/24 sounds like a chemical from India, al4/5 is first name of actor baldwin and al4/7 is part of the hebrew alphabet i think, rhymes with cl4/8
yup
ping, what was that from?
daisy, now help me with ro8/45
ty Fran! will copy this to notepad and digest it properly
Fran..that chemical in is 6/27
I'm new what do you guys mean when you say in6/24 and stuff like that
first two letters of the word, plus the number of letters in the word, plus the point value
reese, in is the first part of the word, it has 6 letters and it's worth 24 points
wassup, i thought we were quoting silly lines from movies. that one's from repo man
I'm new here what do you mean you say in6/24 and stuff like that
daisy, which one did you need?
Welcome Reese's. Be careful. It's addicting.
we were, i just didn't know what movie it was from. i've never seen that
oh 6/24! that one is in+go fast
in 6/24
its good advice
here's another bit of movie fun: when they were making clueless, alicia silverstone was only 17. they hadn't told her to say "hate-ee-ans" instead of "hay-shens" (haitians), she just thought that was how you say it. it fit so perfectly with the character that they didn't tell her the correct pronunciation until later for fear she'd be embarrassed and want to change it.
That explains a lot, hurshy!
that's awesome. i love that movie.
sarah i just looked at your icon up close and it made me laugh out loud. my boss is probably like "hmmm..."
still stuck on IN 6/27
I don't believe it! I have been searching for ages for a sh5/12, and just realised I was looking for the wrong one! Just finished now, and I see that the fireworks are back.
baby is up from her nap - gotta run, maybe back this evening
Obscur - "Hey you guys"
ah, got it!
Goonies!
congrats exwren!
The Electric Company?
now i'm giggling under my breath. i don't know why that''s so funny to me
in 6/27 if ghandi's country's name were a latin plural, this would be the singular
see ya firefly
it made me laugh out loud too. that's funny. i can picture you sitting at your desk sneaking babble and doing the church laugh. i had a major case of that on easter
was I right Luwanda?
that's why she pronounces her name a-lee-see-uh
luwanda - that could be anything but for me it's marcia brady!
he he he : )
ExWren. Well done! I've just come back to find my last 11 words.
yay exwren!
FIREWORKS!! Fran, ty so much....you pushed me up the hill:)
yay daisy!!!
yw daisy, still have 10 words to go, clue for ro8/45?
I just broke through the 100 words mark, ugh, slow going
I'm at 193 and slowing down too
hmm, i would think so reese's.
I know I can't type inflectons - Goonies - Thug? - another movie my kids watched a kazillion times
sorry I meant 193 points
ro 8/45 1st 3 letters are a flower + 5th vowel + running behind schedule
I have been ignoring the latest BIG grids. Didn't do Saturday or Sunday, started monday and didn't do Tuesday
thanks daisy!!
Reese how can you be at 193 if there are only officially 188 words?
yw:) will sit here and clue a few b4 I run off
i need a new quote...
excellent clue, tndaisy!
yesterday was easier!
su 5/14?
I meant 193 points
i would say big lebowski, but too many f words... :)
the weekend's easier for me - more time and less stress
su 5/14: su + stick letter + spanish for yes but spelt wrong
how about this: "where's she going? i don't know. but wherever it is, she'll be there by ten o'clock tomorrow."
No idea hurshy
i love that movie. but i stuck with what i know best.
thanks daisy, the only combo i didn'
didn't try!
I never heard of it Fran so don't feel lost
Can anyone help with ni 5/14?
ashley! I don't know what that's from! is it family guys?
ni 5/14 rhymes with the king who turned everything into gold
th5/14 anyone?
nope its simpsons. its when troy mcclure, the actor (phil hartman's voice) proposes to Selma to boost his celebrity
I used to have a friend named Ashley Hurshy
kaetchen, ends with first three letters of "***T in the Wind"
TY tndaisy!
oh, ok. i've seen that one.
the ***** touch spelled wrong ni5/14
dainty hoof... hehe
th 5/14: definitive article + abbrev. for where Sacrmento is
reese's, you can find help with this game at angelsong's babble page, link is at the bottom of the page
franmag, th 5/14 sounds like one of your fingers, but with an R in the middle
Thanhs fran
froelich, we're going to get rid of boston. know anyone who might be interested?
nope, mine was 5/16, sorry
thanks daisy!
i think i need that one too nrkii!
he he he. that episode is so funny. troy mcclure does a musical version of the planet of the apes. "i hate every ape i see, from chimpan-a to chimpan-z..."
here's an easy one: "are you telling me that in all your time at Gitmo you've never had a meal?"
oh no!! i wish i did. that's so sad
okay, I just passed halfway, gotta take a break now
oh, had that one nrkii, but thanks anyway!
wasup, did I miss something? Where's Boston going?
I need to know, because, see, I live there.
not the city... :) our dog. she's too big for our house. we have two boxers and have to get rid of one of them. she's not even a year old, so it's not too bad
threat
don't worry. i'm not getting rid of BOSTON, MA
Ni*** Muffler just doesn't work
ha ha
And of course, I was merely speaking of the threat to my city... umm... that's it... ...sorry...
ha
nice recovery... :)
oh crap gtg...good luck all
bye tn
hmmm, nobody on the Gitmo quote?
i just found the poop word, and it made me giggle.
sorry hurshy, nothing.
yeah, my mom and i were talking about that. she was saying, "how would you clue that one?"
I slit a sheet...
a few good men, when tom cruise is questioning noah wyle's character...
Too bad about your dog, by the way, But puppies usually don't have trouble finding good homes.
anyway, i have to go help students study now... see ya'll later.
bye hurshy
I'm finished.:-)
don't we all giggle at potty humor
bye hurshy!
Bye!
bye
thanks vicuna. we will miss her, but we have her mom and need to keep only one. we've had the mom longer, so she wins... :)

FranMag - th5/18 = larceny
yeah, but that's cool!!
thanks jacula!
th6/21 - menace
Just succeeded in monkeytyping to 6 & 7: a monarch who controls with his foot digit
we watched "a close shave" last night. Shawn is so cute.
thanks jacula, i knew i missed easy ones!!
to 7 is the Latin plural of to 6
threat
to6 & Latin plural 7 = a yeast-like fungus
i know. with his fluffy lil tail.... and his "beh!!"
oh, oh, sorry, I'm preoccupied...
Down to the 3 8's - Clues anyone?
hehehe Homer: Lisa, would you like a donut? Lisa: No thanks. Do you have any fruit? Homer: This has purple in it. Purple is a fruit.
purple is a fruit. that sounds like something my son would say
Wow, THAT was a fun google search, Jacula.
Rumplestiltskin - al8/55 - foil-like
LOL kaetchen
Kaetchen - LOL! But you learned something noew from it?
yeah. he's a special lil guy, just like homer.
sure is
*new
thanks jacula
Yes, but not sure I needed to know all about yeast-like fungi!
read my bio now, i forgot about this one. homer talking to his brain.
ha8/55 - hook-like protrusions on some bones and between the wing sets of insects.
that's hilarious! i'm cracking up and the dogs are looking at me like i'm crazy

Thanks, Jacula, the tree led me to it.
Frances - If I hadn't already got it, I'd have got it from that. Made me laugh, too.:-)
y/w, Munner.
You're welcome Jacula
Frances, I taught middle school kids just south of Atlanta GA who talked like that!
i need to go. see you later ashley!
Bye, wassup!
Munner It just screamed deep south to me
bye
Munner - It reminded me of an advert we used to see here in UK, 'Hey Wycliff! Wycliff. Come to Mama.'
amines
Grr, sorry.
Hi everyone, help with ae4 and ae7 please
Kaetchen - try a different vowel & consonant at the end. LOL.
evening! nice to see a grid under 200....barely
Hi peri! Thanks Jacula - that did the trick!
Hi Peri. You're in the grid with your 'proper' name today. Vi5/18.
you are a gold (Clue) mine, jacula! :)
Libarel.:-)
Peri - ae4 - flying thing or name of a chocolate bar.

Have to go home and fix dinner...bye, everyone, and thanks for the help!
thanks Jacula, for the ae clues , Yes I did see that the Latin version of my name is in the puzzle today
Never mind the first am 6. Just figured it our. Still need the last one.
Munner - am6/24 - you wear it to ward off evil.
am6/27 please
al8/55 please
Peri - am6/27 - A compound with a metal replacing hydrogen in ammonia, such as NaNH2.
ty, Jacula. should have seen that one.
y/w, Munner.
Jacula, hmmm, have no idea what you are talking about in your clue
al8/55 - foil-like.
per, am6/24 is the beginning of am*able followed by what someone earlier called the male organ--a common ending meaning "like "
Jac, can you help me find my last al4/6 please?
hetty, thanks
Hetty - I'll try!
ah, just monkeytyped my last word, and fireworks are back. thanks for the clues.
Jacula, can't find the al8 even with your clue :(
al4/6 if you're a graduate you are this (abbreviation)
Jacula, never mind just found the al8, thanks

6,24
haa8/55 please
peri, al 5/14 is like something that burns AC**, but with extra consonant stuck into second position
ta4/4?
periwinkle, ha8/55 what you might say to part of a pig that is tardy?
hetty, plural of chinese philosophy word
hetty ta4/4 story
gotcha. Bless you, nrkii. Only trouble is, I have that one (it's a ta4/5) it's the one ahead of it (ta4/4)I can't find
BryanC, can't figure out that ha8
Bryan, just figured out the ha8, thanks so much
periwinkle What you might say to the pig meat to say he's tardy - in a southern accent!!!
goes with green eggs + last true vowel + tardy
Frances, there are not 2 L's. I have the synonym fro story--one of 3 ta4's . I also have the one meaning shut up.So what's left?
Frances, figured out the ha8, don't know what southern accent has to do with it though
yw peri
hetty, is it a 4/4 you're missing, or a 4/5?
ro8 please
Peri Perhaps it is me - being a Brit - it just screams deep south
yeah, i didn't account for the "are" there
according to my list it's a ta4.I have the 2 ta/5's
ta 4/5 means cross of St. Anthony...right top of grid
ah, got it... ta + train that goes overhead
That's what I mean by "shut up"--it's Latin for button your lip
YEAH, I've got fireworks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hetty ta4/4 a former Chinese monetary unit
yay rumple!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
aWell I'm happy you have it, nrkii, because ai certainly dont. A train that goes overhead? in 2 letters ?
hoorah, rumple!
they call the overhead trains this in Chicago
Frances, I can't do that kind of clue. Don't have the erudition
an anagram of a few of the other ta4's
hetty, the last two letters are the start of a big grey tusked animal you might find in africa
...and I've monkeytyped till my fingers ache
ok, a bull fighter calls the bull, ** toro
ta 4/4 plus first 2 letters of what you may call a lift
hetty ta4/4 anag of ta** (story)
I HAVE that word. It's a ta4/.5 IWANT A ta 4/4
oh, stuff you put on a baby's bottom
hetty, the one that we just clued IS a 4/4
It is def a ta4/4
take the one that means story, and switch the last two letters around
oops, nevermind that's a ta4/5
ta plus 2nd vowel plus cons
O(h my dear friends all.I wish I could have you here beside me looking at my lst. On it I have every ta word you have suggested BUT i'm still one short
okay, so here are the ta 4/4s I have:
anagram of story
story
Which ones do you have?
and chinese philosophys (means "the way")
55 pts is the highest single word total?
I hae ; the husked animal ending (or lift);the plural of the chinese term; the "shut up" in Latin; the synnym for story, and both the 5'd and the 6
wait, do you have the powder you put on a baby's bottom?
it's a 4/5, but you didn't mention it
I see from the word list that I've mistaken the value of the word I'm missing--it must be a 4/5
hi everyone, had to get the kids fed, still stuck on to6/21 and it's plural 7/32. tried googling yeast-like fungus, but there are an awful lot of them
aha!
fran, make it sound like another word for dad (more formal)
No, IDONT have the baby's bottom. Oh nkrii, if you WERE here I'd hug younto pieces. Thanks everyone. My panic for today is over.
oh but I can't make a plural out of that one fran, so maybe there's another?!
franmag, the to6/21 is the sing.of the to/7--just lop off the "e"
i'm missing the first to6/21, i have the one you mentioned
evenin babblers!
fran - to + ru 4/5 change the last vowel
thanks hetty, don't have the plural yet
it's the second ru 4/5
hi everyone
ma5/18 anyone
wondering - how are babble puzzles devised daily - random or planned? wondering...
If you dont have the to7/32, then after to use the word to govern (as king) minus its "e" and add a (tra-la-)**and a second vowel
I'm told the grids are quite random. Th couldn't be planned to be as frustrating as they are.
yay, finally got it!! thanks everyone that helped.
oh, that was my last word, i'm done!!
what's the last to 6/21?
if the grids were made randomly; how were total number of words calculated - was it automated or figured out manually?
ls1, it's T+not this one, the o****
I thought that the grids were made w/ a random selection of a computer
thanks!
and that then the computer could calculate words, points, etc.? :]
they may be random, but it's strange that we had two yeast-like fungi on one grid, isn't it?
so, the grids were made automatically and word counts verified by the Enable dictionary?
hmmm...
I don't know if the Enable dictionary is the source??
Fran, YAYAYAY!!!!!!!!
still 72 left to find, but calling it quits, see you all tomorrow
of verification, that is
75 left for me. Never give up! Never surrender!
hi everyone. Back for my before sleep babble session. Does anyone have a clue for the al8/55?
god. is this puzzle bizarre or is it me?
Found it myself!!! Funny how often that happens.
this puzzle seems to have no "flow" to me...
liberabel, exactly
how about the ae7/28?
not too rich in derivatives
it's just 150 disconnected words, plus another 40 or so that are loosely connected to a handful of those
eva, add the opposite of stood to the ae4/4
thanks fran!
brb, i have to deal with fe5/18 matter in a diaper!
yes, nrkii! :-[]
help on as 6/21 that is not about everyone getting off the boat?
fran, nice!
a few scatologicallyrelated words, tho-- :-|
nrkii, same beginning, but add an L and the ending that means one who does
fran, for the AS?
yes nrkii
same beginning as the other as6/21
for al6/21 (the other one): take the metal airplanes are made of, drop the last 3 letters. My jaw dropped when I got it...
fran, had to reread your clue, I was being dense, ty
Then, to the word you got, add the ic ending
no prob nrkii, just noticed you did get fish for your icon, it's a little dark on the small icon, can't see the detail
abe vigoda all the way - he was my favorite when I was a kid!
so delightfully cranky!
am6/24-I have the talisman....any clues for the other one? speaking of that, did anyone else read the whole Five Children and It series
this is embarrassing - got 142 to go and am experiencing a babbling block - wish this grid can also be done in American Sign Language (a native language of mine, sigh)
bgood, it's a really rough grid, just ask for clues
eva, I read the first 2 of the 5 children and it series if I recall
eva, do you have the 6/27?
Nite all bed calls as it is nearly 2am
if so, just change the last consonant
night frances
night fran!
frances, that is!
The other am6/24: relating to amines, I suppose.....
eva, if you don't erda's clue should work
hi babblers
I just realized I have ZERO E words!
fran- I have that one. It's either the third or second one-right next to the talisman one, that I'm missing
sorry eva, i think i mixed up words, all the am6s look alike!!
hi abe!
hi abe
eva, take the am6/27 and change the D to an N
hi fran and nrkii, are you guys done with the grid?
yes abe, how about you?
thanks fran! That was the one
abe, 62 to go
48 left. i had to do work at work today. i'm here for awhile
I went to lickety's list about 10 words ago -- this is painful
i will be doing the same soon
reat
be back in a couple of mins, gotta go check baseball game on tv before my tivo changes channels :)
it's an irritating grid, i hate when the first word for a letter is 8 letters long!! nothing to work off of.
after i type fake words into the chat log
it really is frustrating, i'm missing a ton of 4 letter words
abe, you and nrkii went for the same show, except she picked her favorite from the cast
a lot of wierd 4 letter words
weird even
i didn['t really have a favorite, i s'pose i could have picked my "namesake" :) i like your icon fran
'who loves you, baby?'
lol
my other choice was Adam12
hi everyone !!
hi helenkeller
there you are helen!
hiya fran - are you done?
yes helen, my last 20 words were killer
i just realized what your icon is, very clever!
i have 127 left - can't decide if i want to do this & watch lost at the same time or just watch lost, or tape lost .....
i'm missing an am 6 next to the necklace...that is pretty cool helen
lol fran - ty, ty
abe, it's like the am6/27, just change the D to an N
i've taken to writing something about each icon in my profile
oh then it's the other pair fran, i have that other set :)
hi helen!
i saw that too, that's how i figured out your icon!
hi nrk !!!
abe, replace 4th letter and make same kind of set
abe, it's just like those two, read my clue again
sorry fran, i'm a dummy. you were right
lol fran - you mean you couldn't tell from the itsy-bitsy, teenie, tiny picture? :)
it's okay abe, they all look the same!!
Fran, did u finish? I'm sorry I had to ditch you...His Majesty arrived home.
no helen, that's why i picked that picture of Kojak, there are a lot of highlights off the bald head.
hi daisy! i had to quit to feed the kids, but i finally got those last two, thanks!
lol - my dad & i loved kojak
good...and...feed the kids to what? ;)
I am missing a du4/6 after the stupid person... is there dun4/6 or are all three dur?
lol daisy, sometimes i feel like that!!
in fact, when my mom lost her hair from chemo, my dad would affectionately call her kojak - it sounds mean, but if you knew my parents, you would have thought it was darling
bgl, they are all durs
I would have flushed mine when she was little, but we had a septic tank and I figured I'd get found out eventually! lol she turns 16 tomorrow...*sigh*
how cute helen!
help with fe 4/8 please?
it doesn't get easier does it daisy?
Thanks Fran. Finally got it.
that's the one I'm looking for too
no...especially from 2000 miles away:(
nrkii, it's a plural for a yiddish expression
got it eva
expression of disgust
it's what fran said
tx fran, I was trying to think of how to describe that!
thanks again fran!
sure thing eva!
Fran, do you do the IM thing?
daisy, mine are 1 and 3 and the 3 year old already knows everything
not really daisy, i did once and ended up with a husband!
lol I understand....I found my ex on a CB radio...my current, on IM (ICQ)
how funny!!
at least your technology has advanced!
lol ain't it the truth! but I had a blast on that CB...met some lifelong friends on it
now I just pick up the phone and call...free nation-wide long distance....even to HI!
i'm having a lot of fun chatting here, but i don't think i could play babble and IM, i have too many distractions with the kids
hey dig
I can IM and babble...just can't babble and be secretary/gf/gofer
not well anyway
which is why I rejoice when he LEAVES
i also handle my husband's side business, he is a wedding DJ on the weekends and i handle inquiries and paperwork
bcs as we all know...Babble is the most important meal of the day!
i am being distracted by lost
still 113 to go
you'll have time when it's over helen!
lol tndais
wedding dj! how cool!
Anyone have the t word that starts in the bottom right corner?

Geschwester.
The were not used to such words. Think what I could do with my babble vocabulary...but I retired from teaching. Didnt like driving on the icy roads in the winter.
How about LU 6/24?
Vicuna knows why. Geschwister is very common word in German, siblings is not in the USA

He has yet to finish one... I need the 2 fs between Grandma and CHeese
yay abe!!!
you go!
du5,16?
are they the 6s?
Good job, Abe... I'm getting closer!
lots of phantom words today liora!
bgl, you need 2 fe 6's
fe+consonant +end of famous vampire
sorry to be so 'in & out' -lost, babble, lost, babble, lost, babble, lost, babble - a person can go crazy :)
Yes, MM
du 5/16 a dumb person; sits in the corner with a hat
the other one starts the same way +last three letters of av4
shirin, du5/16, a not so smart person, wears a cap in the corner
omg lost!!! not saying more, cause of fran, don't want to spoil it
hi guys, need the 3rd am 6/24, please
I have no idea what that is called.
dulca
oops
Okay, 12 Ts and I will see fireworks...
that's okay featherbee! we have guests tonight, not going to watch it
am 6- like a necklace
MM~ HAve you heard anything about Teresa?
anders - do you have the magical necklace?
I'm ready BGL
yes
shirin, rhymes with on** not twice
du5/16 misspelling of finished + 2 letter that sound like sea
fran - you must tape it -
ahh, thank you.
She got home from the hospital yesterday. THe problem was overly high thyroid production. Will take about 3 weeks to regulate
shirin starts with DU though
They are all ths...
music - that's what i have
is it that good helen?
yes fran - finallly something to say - aha - about
she was to get a new prescription yesterday
called me to find out how to use her rice bag
I am confused: the grid below, why are there more than one box for some of the letters?
sorry back to lost
I'm refreshing to see if I can get my list back
MM, had a co-worker that had that too
the stats show you the number of words for each tile and the position the tile has in the grid
shirin, they correspond to each box in the grid above it
today's seems much harder than usual, for some reason
words start from different tiles
Is to make a thr*** right before the drive thr*?
featherbee, i watched house last night, i know what you mean about the gory stuff!
oh, I see. So that makes it easier to know where to start
yes if you have it ending in the 4th vowel
there is drive thr* with 4th and with 5th vowel
house was soooo gross last night
yes, it really helps when you're down to a couple of words
fran, i had to turn House off. what was wrong with that guy's tongue??
abe, yes it was
the eye popping out was cool, eh abe?
you mean you missed his eye, annie?
omg, yes!
annie, the whole episode was in house's mind
that and the exploding organs. mmmm
I need the 6 between the drive thr*s
after he got shot that is
gee sorry I missed all that
where teresa's problem is -- not thyroid
Fish please...
well, luckily i was babbling, so i could look away a lot
ok, ty
it gets sore when you have a cold
halibut or salmon
i actually sat through the whole thing! good thing, there was a lot to follow
cod or trout?
just don't send shellfish --- it will make Josh sick
I need the three between the one that rhymes with "poop-matter" and what a bully does
annie, they never got around to diagnosing the tongue thing, episode ended with house being wheeled into surgery
steal, greek letter, rose prickly thing
hello Jacula! back with my " new" icon, LOL
hi jacula!
LOL stid - love it
ahh! Im still missing two sh5, 12s!
brb, have to put some laundry away
BGL - th5/18 - larceny, th5/12 - 8th letter of the Greek alphabet, th5/12 - one of many a rose has.
Some things just never change! :-)
so the poor guy walks around with this swollen tongue until next season. lets hope the show is renewed.
one sh 5/12 is the last sh 4/5 with a double cons at the end
which sh's do you have?
yes annie, until then we get double episodes now that AI is over also
the other 5/12 that gave me fits was s + he 4
Stidmama - that's not apart of the 'Gin Lane' drawing is it?
I have the one that sounds like to cure,
the one that sounds like a boat
the ocean front, and the rose
cut the sheep's hair
and one that rhymes with an st word for take without permission
what you do with a gun
anyone have the in6/27?
anders, sounds like mineral from India
I thought it was th's that were being asked for? Mind you, I'm being distracted by listening to Woman's Hour dramas from this week so far...
rhymes with imod*** for ul5
in + pop english princess + 1st 2 letter of what you need in the rain
ok, got the gun one and the taking w/o permission one, thanks
I don't think so -- it's from around the Elizabethan era...
How ARE you doing BGL with the th words?
Are you done Shirin?
I'll just shut up, shall I? Well, it wasn't very nice of you lot to all yell, 'YES!' at once! LOL.
3 TO words now...
no, I need one more sh and 6 words all together
LOL Jac --- no problem. BGL asked for Th words but shirin asked for sh words and someone asked for an in word
Shirin - that sounds painful! LOL.
shirin -- do you have the sheep was sh5/12 after its hair was cut?
finally got that thanks to your great clues! Man that one bugged me.
hi everyone - just started few minutes ago, afer a lot of thinking but looks likethe grid is irrestible
good night guys
goodnight all
no, musicmom. I am still trying to figure that one out
good night ph and abe
night abe and phand
change the end of your ocean's edge to a consonant
Andy - you have 2 hours and 2 mins to complete it.
I'm heading out too - gotta get SOME sleep this week!
wow helen!
shirin - it rhymes with the th --- prickly rose thing
I kow I plan to do it, got 40 words so far
Shirin - sounds like the Irish/Gaelic name for 'John'.
good night nrkii
I need 2 tos between a rocky paks and what sounds like an astrological sign (one is a 6 and one is a 7)
ok, then I think I have that one. I still need one more
shirin -= do you have the one ending in a hockey stick?
...or s+ instrument used to sound the Last Post, or what many male animals often have 2 of.;-)
i dont think so
BGL --- drop the pl from the to4 and add the vampire ending again. 7 is a latin plural
THANK YOU ALL!
Done?
BGL - for your 'to' - use the ending of my nick!
I finished... I would never have finished without lickety's list and the log today...
good one Jac
Me either BGL --- I got down to 84 words and got the list
bravo--- btw
YAY BGL!
good night nrkii! see you tomorrow
changing my icon for tomorrow...

I need the mu 4/7, right before the guy on the sled
what that guy says
good night andy! see you all tomorrow -- or on the next reasonable grid... :-)
bye stid - don't know if I will be here tomorrow
sure c u bye stidmama
Im still having trouble with that sh that is a hockey stick? any other clue?
shoot, I mean right before what that guy says ..
shirin --- it isn't a hockey stick it ends with one. 12 letter of the alphabet
mu4/6 - to wall in.
I don't have a4/7 the 4/6 is the end of the word for a proper young lady demu4/6
Shirin: andrew WK song *** Is Beautiful + ** Bundy of Married with Children.
'Bye StidMama.
Testing... testing.. testing... Bye, Stid...
okay I'm going to bed --- good night all
Speaking of mu words...I see this puzzle is a hockey stick short of a bad haricut..... :p
night musicmom!
jfb - I just loved the way he had to hand his pay packet over to everyone, including the dog.
i think I have those. Idont know which other one I m missing
Good night music!

LOL BGL love the icon. Good night
night bgl!
Me, too, Jac. :-) Pop culture is my life even with no TV reception.
Night, those-who-leave.
mommymiller - Hello. You either pay and go 'pro' or you check out either BJ's list on Babblers' Anonymous, or Lickety's list.
mommy_miller, you either go pro or you use links on the bottom to get lickety's list
thanks Jacula
'Bye BGL.
I am STILL typing "ahshat" as if it meant anything.
Must be a sign that I'm one (an ahshat)
why can't i see this mu? I've got farm animal, the 6/24, the (de +) proper woman, the two sled terms. What am I missing?
shirin, do you have the sh5/12 that starts like seaside minus the E and add an L?
night all! i'm not even going to try to finish tonight
yes, I have that one too
night featherbee!
I'm withfeatherbee. Got 100+, and need sleep more than the satisfaction of finishing. Night, folks.
anders, you're missing the one that sounds like an abbreviation for a political division ****cipality
night jfarber
ok nevermind. I have all the sh5s. I guess I am missing another s, sorry
its an so5,16
add an A to the so4/7 that means not hard
I still have to sit here for a while. Anyone need more clues?
Franmag if you lived in my town i would come over and give you a hug. many thanks
yw anders!
thanks!!!!
finally finished with the s's
so5/16 is a 'bunny boiler'.
yay shirin!
Well done, Shirin!
brb, son needs a bath
I think I need a th 6, 21. I have the neck front
Waiting for my husband to come to bed... anyone need any help?
th6/21 (not the neck part) = menace.
bgl, what's the t word from the bottom corner?
BGL- my other half has long given up waiting for me to go to bed, though I did visit him for a while... he knows I have work to do, and things to deal with.
does it have the same 3rd letter?
If it's not one it's the ot*** and add a t to the front
51 to go - i'm finishing this now - without the list -i mean it!
thanks!
I have that one
Way to go (as the US folks say, Helen). Keep on keeping on.
it is a th
Shirin, what are you look for?
ty jacula :)
th 621. Not the neck
Shirin - is it a th6/27 - a songbird or a nasty yeast infection?
Do you have what a bully does? He makes a th**** to take your milk money...
The other th6/21 = menace. If someone says they might to something nasty to you....
6/21 I have the 6/27
Is it a promise or a th****?
I got it! I cant believe I didnt see it, thanks!
Global warming is a th**** to all of us.
Well done, shirin!
reat
crap. sorry.
Bash - wrong box! LOL. It wasn't A Word though.
Bash~ none of us would ever type a word in the log!! :-P
LOL!!!
It would have been a word in other grids, had you added an 'a' at the end. However, try another consonant about 4 letters back.... meaning 'true'.
thx. If I do it again, slap me with the fish. :)
Oh, sorry! Further bacxk than that.
Anything else I can help with? If not I have a book calling my name...
Bash - do you want a large forzen fish or a fresh one?
Or perhaps a whole boxc of frozen fish? LOL.
We could hurl sardines...
I still need an ha 4,5
Sardines are wimpy! LOL.
Out of the can, of course!
fresh, please - frozen might do damage. Can't lose any more brain cells to this game! :p Thx.
Oh, LOL!
My cats say sardines sound good...
My cats say same.
bgl, can you help with am 6,24, not the one that ends in in?
anders take am 4/6 - chemical compound and add a suffix
Shirin~ ha4/6 or he 4/5?
shirin, you sure about that ha 4/5? do you need ha 4/6??
okay, I've got no shot at finishing this one
ha
ha4,5
got it
one more to go!
he4/5 - become better (of body or flesh), he4/5 - warmth, he4/5 - fishing fly or feather, he4/5 - another name for a heron, he4/5 - knight in shining armour, he4/5 - that woman's.
thank you jacula
Am6/24= am4/5+ frozen water (minus a vowel) or ther is a special necklace
y/w. shirin.
that's it - stuck on 40 - going to list
ah, finally thank for the clue bgl!
in4,4
YW, anders. Well, hubby finally came upstairs... see you tomorrow.
got it
and I am all done
Well done, shirin.
wtg shirin !!!!!
thanks for all your help!
Night, BGL.
ce 6/33?
helen, think of part of a woman's anatomy and take the x off and make it a d
Helen - a male deer (due to his deciduous antlers) as opposed to a male bovine.
congrats shirin!
ty fran - most excellent clue :)
I'm off to bed now. Happy Babbling, all.
night jacula!
good nite jacula :)
niters, jacula! thx for your help!
who has the ul words? can you clue me, please?

fe4/7 a different way to spell what we wear socks on
anders, imaginary
msk are you there?
fe 4/7 a different way to spell one of your 5 senses.
helen, fe6/39, enthusiastic
oh, of course. why can i get the tough ones, and not spot the obvious?
i thought that fe 4/7 ould lead me to the 6's, but i still don't see them
yes I am struggling w/ my first puzzle
same here anders, i need clues for some really simple ones!
don't worry mks, you can get help at angelsong's babble page, look at links below
not getting the enthusiastic
feal
helen, it doesn't relate at all, fe6/30 is fe+what a king does, but change last vowel
thanks franmag
thx fran - the monkey's weren't going to get that one
fe6/39 is first 3 letters of that word + first 3 letters of ***eo cassette
mks, of course you can get help in the chat also!
ahhhh - now i see it, tyvm
i needed clues on those also helen
uh oh.... 91 left... think i'll make it?
leslie!! where have you been?
drinking!
hi leslie!!
LOL
ok, excused then. ;-)
actually, the alcohol may help, this grid is all unrelated words
can i have a clue for th ru 5,14 and ru 6, 21? Please. Dying to finish this one
anders, ru5/14 has to do with ancient writing
ru 6/21 is go fast + allow (or rent)
anders, someone used a line from Edgar Allan Poe's the Raven, 'in a sort of ru*** rhyme'
eek, how about ae 7?
ru 5/14 also - not walk + frozen water minus the last vowel
ae4/4 + opposite of stood
leslieann - abbreviate the day after fri
so glad i went to list - only 20 to go
got them both, great clues!
i went to list after half, the words just stopped coming!
and add it to the ae 4 (sorry)
go leslie!
go anders!
ah thanks -- ls i was like am i too buzzed to see an s coming after that e??
flyin at you fast
how about anyone gives me any 8s they have, cause i don't have any? :) :)
al8/55 starts like the al metal but ends with ic
you'll love this one, ha8/55 - cured pork + U + not early
lol what does that mean??
ro8/45, flower minus E + U + not early
i think it means to imitate your boss after he's left the room
leslie, it means hook shaped, but we prefer to imitate a pig
hk tx fran for the ro
thanks fran you're my hero :)
10 to go
those are the 8s
go helen!
well leslie, i recall you've helped me a few times yourself
by the way leslie, that he4/4 is on the grid also
wow! great clues, ladies!
lol i didn't have that, thanks fran :)

am6: a talisman
thank you all
the other one temple
hey anders! congratulations!
can someone give me a clue for et4,5?
I is stumped
*Jumps into the grid and log with both feet, keys at the ready:* 'Cuzzi's hopen, c'mon in, everyone! Hey, y'all!
et + abbr. for high school
juniper, how someone with a list would say the letter "s"
hi JB!
hey jb!
not list, sorry meant to say lisp
heh

et4/5, take first 3 letters of the et5/12 and make it plural
um, that's OPEN! Grab your sippy cups with your favorite beverage, lots of towels available!

Temple!! FranMag!{{hugs}}
hi jbsanno!!!
I have a toddler... I have like 20 THOUSAND sippy cups in my house
AM 6/24, AS 6/21 (i have the talisman and the one that starts with what is left after fire plus the last 3 letters of smaller's name)
{{smaller!!}}
juniper, do you blog?
Get the biggest one you can find, juniper!
I used to blog, but it's been tough to keep it up to date
oh bleugirl2, I'm so honored!
Mochajavachocolatte, anyone? *holds up pitcher*
un 6? (either)
i have a toddler too. sippy cups abounding.
there is a foot sticking out of my side
i just wondered if you were the juniper whose blog i was reading for a while...until i found babble that is
*runs to get gets mocha bong*
I really need some clues if I am going to finish this
sounds like a personal problem, invictus...
doubt it.... I don;t go by juniper on my blogs
leslie, one of them is imaginary
that could be a serious problem, invictus
i just have a human growing in my body
or so i am told
the other is stop renting, it was on a grid a couple of weeks ago i think
as 6/21 - michael, row your boat as****
congrats, invictus!!!! good strong legs! future soccer mvp!
wait, cancel that last clue, i flippe the points around
No, don't cancel it - I got both un's from that!
invictus, and you can borrow juniper's sippy cups in a bit
lol, smaller
al 6/24 - first six letters of al****um foil
the other un6/21 is what you do before you take your sneakers off
oh i have plenty of those too
thx Leslieann. I thought I had already typed that for some reason. and the AM 6/24 (not the talisman)
yay thanks fran
ce6/33 clue, please?
take my sippy cups, please
AT 6/18?
TO, ce+r+first 3 letters of ***eo cassette
ever since my son learned how to say "chocolate milk," that's all he wants
*poses with pitcher...." Ready?
yeah, my daughter just wants strawberry milk
ty, fm!
at 6/18 = AT + ripped
at + to 4/4
ripped as in paper, not muscles!
i have that one already, didn't mark it. duh!
these are some weird words today
yw TO
AM 6/24, for the thousandth time pelase!
do you have am 6/27 bleu?
Yes
if so, take it and change the middle D to an N
another 6/24 is that 6/27, but ends with an N instead of C
those words gave everyone trouble today
is there someone would please clue me for lu6/24?
more lu 4/6, hetty
hetty, it's more lu4/6
think of lu4/6 foliage
hetty, it thought you got that one earlier?
bleu, did you get those?
last one- su 7/36 ?
thank you both. Just got in from choir to find myself short just 3 s's--2so5's and 1 so6--and no, Franmag, I didn't get those earlier I'm afraid, I wirked very rd on the grid and just had these few blind spots left over--
got distracted again - oprah has elie weisel on & they are at auschwitz
TY!!!!!!
helen, take 5/14 minus the i and add past tense of eat
how about the first two DUs
yes Fran
all done! i'm here to help
yeah - fireworks !!
woohoo!!!
hoooray helen and tonyv!!
DU 6 and 4 (first 2)
yeah helen!!
thank you very much fran - she practically did the entire grid for me, :)
wtg tony !!!!
brb, have to order dinner
thank you helen, good job to you too
Wait, Fran, I was gonna give you the keys - I gotta go!
the first 2 du's, blegirl, are 1) an archaic term for sweet sounding--poets spoke of du****tones. Think of the maiden with the dulcimer in Kubla Kahn. The second one is Aexandre DU*** minus his last letter
DU 6 Pleasing to the ear; melodious
tonyv can you please help me with so5/16, so5/so5/10, and so6/27?
hetty, do you still need lu 6/24?
so5/16: not hard, but ___ + vowel
hetty, I really need to go to bed - would you lock up the 'cuzzi when everyone's done *jacuzzi keys in hand, ready to toss them along WITH chocolate covered espresso beans...mmm....
bye jb!!
got the DU 4, but drawing a blank on the 6. trying to look it up but...
so5/10: achy+a consonant
Hey, LAnn, {{hug}} I'm having a hard time GIVING these keys away!!
so 6/27 add to so 4/7
so6/27: more of so4/7
i'll take 'em!
only half an hour left, who needs a clue?
th 5/18?
okay, pizza is ordered, what did i miss?
can i have a different clue for DU 6? the definition is not coming up.
leslie, robbery
i got the jacuzzi keys, na na na na na na
*tosses keys to LeslieAnn* Just in time too, these chocolate beans DO melt in your hand, and the keys were getting sticky! *Grabs towel, blows kisses to all* Sippy cup in hand, exit, stage left - Goodnight everyone!
ahh, tricky f in the corner
th 5/18 it's stealing
th 5/18 if someone steals somthing its called a th***
good night jb!
du 6 - ***** de leche + consonant
can I get a clue for the av 6/30 and as6/21 (I have the not on the sea one)
sorry JB, couldn't take the keys, see you later!

Just don't lose those keys on me, Leslie -- After all, when Smeltz comes back I need to be able to justify his faith in me :-)
av 6 - av 4 + opposite of out
hi woulf!!
ty leslieann
got it invictus. thx!
got it, gw
np
there's a couple of as 6/21s
as 6/21, debris from a cigarette + L + suffix that means one who does
And with that tantalizing comment I need to go to sleep -- missed finishing by 14 but eyelids are way too heavy {{{***Hugs to all***}}} and maybe I will be able to finish a grid again in the near future Good night and sweet dreams to all
bye gw!!
night greywoulf!
P.S. -- if you didn't already know, swmbo posted my new pics -- BabAnon--- Meet and Greet --- GreyWoulf's Brood topic ;-)

cool woulf, will check them out
g'nite LA and FranMag (and a hi for Fran as well)
thanks, I have the lu. All I need now is one measly sh I thinkit's the fifth sh5/12. . . please anyone?
hetty, the sh 5 on the beach, change last letter??
that's probably the one hetty
my sh 5 rhymes with goat
hetty, love saltspring
hetty, do you have sh5/12 that has a double consonant at the end?
Here we go agin! You are all so pateint with old muddlehead here. I have the one rhyming with goat, the one thats the beach, the one that changes its last letter, the bad word for having defecated, the word for a pretence, the word that rhymes with peel--no, i don't have one with a double consonant (she runs back to the wordlist)
IN 6/21???
sh5/12 with double consonant at the end - what you beep in the car and add an s at the beginning.
in + chantilly ****, bleu
AARGH! I should have seen that one. Trying to hurry up. 13 to go.
Oh yes, I do--it's the wor follwing on from the bad thing done with a gun. I also have on eyou beep in the car --darnit I have nine a i need ten--
hetty do you have the s + what a wound does? he 4/5
leslie, did you finish?

I'm rooting for you both
Does anybody have a clue for ae 7/28, please?
fly word + past tense for sit
hetty, do you have th stadium? sh4/5, take last letter off of the first sh5/12
I have both beach extensions. I do't understand what a wound does--bleed? "shurt" doesn't exist
Thank you Anders, got it!
SO 5/16 and 5/10
hetty, s + sounds like back part of foot
no problem, what else do you need?
i think you have it, the one that rhymes with peel
fran, if I takethe last letter off my sh5/12 it "doesn't exist"
bleu, so5/16, not hard + A
got yhr 5/16, need the 5/10 now
almost time for the flip
Yes, i do hve that one leslie ann and i'm going crazy here I have nine. I need ten
does your first sh5/12 rhyme with peel?
leslie, how many more?
got the 5/10
so 5/16 is opposite of hard + a as last letter
where do you go to find yesterday's word list?
are you sure it is a 5 you need, hetty?
the archives liora
how can i help?
thanks
15 minutes left, who needs a clue?
SU 5/14. i know someone gave it earlier but trying to hurry. 8 to go
My first sh 5 does rhyme with peel; it is preceded by 2 sh4's
Also TO 6/21, 7/32, 5/12
