maybe it was from yesterday or soemthing....
hi schroeder - how nice to see you back!
i guess i need to explore those links more at the bottom of the page. if i could drag myself away from the puzzle
and the trots get even sicker because this puzzle adds a mysterious vowel to the spelling, just for the "fun" of it!!!!
yes mab.... very liberal american spelling for the runs!
Nice to be back....:)
and the di9,66 is the proper way to spell a nice case of Delhi Belly
I guess we spell it differently here? :)
Montezuma's revenge
that's how google spells it
stick an ''o'' in as the 3rd last letter and you got an even better dose of the trots
I guess...."trots" works for me....and I don't have to be sure to spell it right! LOL

good start ilandrah, thanks
ahhh!!! ty for your help evryone but i still dont get it!!!!
ok....... think of the finish line - the ... of the race add an r at the front. then a two letter meaning "one who does" then past tense

Good morning

Morning JMann and Matty!
Any clues for the nine, then?
not get
pretty good, a little tired from work, but ready for the grid (I hope!)
How about Z clules?
zo plus 2 vowels, next Z, add a consonant at the end
Merci, Cat!
sorry meant the next Z is the same as zo4/9, but with a consonant added to make it zo5/20 :)
Like your icon, Cat.
ty cat!!!!!!!!
thanks Matty :)
I meant Danke, Merci, Domo Arigoto, Obrigada, Gracias...
you're welcome Maddie :)
lol matty :)
do you have any clues for the 9-letter words?
Gratzie, Efcaristo (ok, my spelling is poor, but you get the drift..) :D
Maddie, they are both related to the di8/50, different end spellings is all
Oh, I have the de8/50, not the DI.
i dont get it cat!
di8/50 relates to, hmmm, how about Montezumas revenge? :)
Maddie, do you have di8/50?
Crikey - I can NEVER spell that word - lessie how I do...
in english please??!! LOL!
Maddie, do you have di8/50?
yes cat.
OK, I've got the eight, and one of the nines (but thankfully, not the word LITERALLY - my bowels are fine) - just looking for the other?
then add a consonant at the end to give you di9/66
Are there two di 9s then?
both nines are related to the di8/50 Matty
Okey dokey, I've got one of them, looking for the other.
the one without the ending consonant is the 2nd one, ends with all vowels
a wierd combo of vowels :)
Got em both - thanks cat (for the words, not the condition)!
lol, you're welcome :)
i havent got the 2nd 9-letter?
Try Google - google the eight, and look for an alternate spelling.
ok Maddie, take the di8/50 and remove the ea at the end, then add 4th vowel, then2nd vowel, first vowel, you will have di9/66
Maddie, try taking the DI 8/50, and adding another vowel between the last two vowels of DI 8/50. The last three letters are a weird combo of vowels, if all else fails, just keep typing
now, off to find more words :)
my phantom word is aloha, I swear I keep seeing it :)
ty cat!!!!!!!!!
you're welcome Maddie
cool cat!!!!!! LOL
any clues for any 7-letter words now please?
thanks :)
cult
oops, so sorry
My phantom is ordeal.
lol, I think we all should be allowed a bonus word, our own phantom word
any clues for on7/28?
I keep seeing "herald"
I don't have it yet Maddie
ok cat. do you have any other 7-letter words?
Yeah, "herald" keeps popping out for me too
ne7/32, when you are a geek, they call you a ne4/5, add to that to give you ne7/32
I'm missing one eight - I have the runs (not literally) and the ghastly train accident...
its another spelling for the DI 9/66, but with a weird three vowel ending combo
also a re8/50, what they do to "fat" they re6/21 it, then add on to make it re8/50
okay, sorry about that, ignore my last advice
hope that helps, thats the only way I know to explain it, in cooking terms
Fab - thanks Cat. You must be a genius....
Cat - you're in California - it's silly o'clock there!
i have the ne4/5 but i dont have ne7/32 so can you please help me a bit more?
oh far from it my dear matty :) but thank you :)
re6/21 re**** unto Ceasar what is Ceasars. Then, past tense for the re8
its some one who is MORE of a ne4/5 than someone else
good one Gwen :)
Oddly, the one you are clueing is the only seven I have...
it's always silly o'clock in Cali Matty! :)
ok well i have to go now! bye all!!!!!
copied from an earlier post, but spelled caesar wrong. LOL
morning peeps
good morning mickie
there is an on7/32 also, more "mean" and feisty, hope that helps
I use on7/28 when refering to a fiesty child
*feisty
I have 5 of the 9 7's so far, would have more if this grid had S's in it lol
Cat, so I've got the ON 7/28, but I'm just not seeing the ON 7/32, any clues?

Good morning all. This is a difficult grid today.
Hi Haz
Good morning Jemma - how are you getting on?
how many word do you have haz
Hi Haz, this is tough alright!
Hi mrpresident! So far I have 25 words - really just begun.
Good thanks!!But you keep forgetting that it is night time in Australia!!LOL (-:
It's because I'm very old and can't remember these things!
can you give me some clues haz
Thats Ok!!But you are not that old!!
another name for a geek is a ne4/5. When you don't tell the truth, people call you a li4/4. Something that is unusual or hard to finds is ra4/5. When you apply for a job, it is because you want them to hi4/5 you.
How many words do you have JGalloway? I always recommend finding four letter words first.
Thanks a lot Cat!!(-:
thanks cat got any more
i have 31 words haz
you're welcome Jemma and JG
have you got anymore clues cat
Jemma & JG, you need to look a bit harder on the grid before asking for clues, and you need to be specific about the clues you want... please.
Ok, sorry
Gas, coal and petrol are forms of fu4/8, fishermen hope to have a good ha4/6 of fish, and if you have an accident your car may have a de4/4 in it. Those are the free ones I'm giving. You need to do some hunting for yourselves.
Mr President, i like your Cat picture!!
i am trying my hardest mrP
Oh and you need to CONCENTRATE, remember Jemma?
yep!
i am
how many words today?
There are 168 words today.
ok evetone, i better go!!(-: Goodbye for now!!Happy Babbling!!
Hello everyone!
Bye Jemma - have a good EVENING (see I remembered this time)
i meant everyone!!sorry about that!!Buh-Bye!
Hello Preethi, this is a harder grid today, I think.
well done Haz!!LOL(-:
Bye!!
Seems liek it. How amny words Haz?
168 sheesh! Ive got 41 so far...
168 words to find.
There are few possibilities for getting sequences going.
I have 38 :( Sorry for the typos.
Haz RE words?
So far I have re4/5 and its past tense re6/21 (perform an action again)
re6/21 - depended upon
I ahve 7
w many altogether?
re4/5 - almost like the action word but ending in a diferent vowel. Looks like a colour plus vowel.
hi everyone!
There is a word to do with payment for a house - I'm still looking!
Hello Maddie - ready to find more words?
yes!!
re 8/50 is past tense of re 6/21
hey everyone! hi maddie!
hey PM!
Hi Maddie
question Haz, how it is you know what to look for, like when you said you are looking for a word having to do with payment for a house. Is there a page that clues me like that?
Hey PM
hi preethi
yeah, it is the chat box!
No, Cat - I was giving a general clue for an re word that has to do with payment for a house. I should have indicated it with re4/4 - sorry for any confusion caused.
ohhh LOL mrp :) I thought maybe one of the sites below clued the grid words that way, sorry :)
no problem Haz :)
Hello mepresident
mrpresident. Sorry for the typo
cat, you could email the powers and ask them if that is possible?? user demand tends to be a good reason to try.
Hi Preethi!
prethei there are a few Re6/21's which RE8?
There is an interesting ca4/6 - rhymes with the fisherman's ha4/6. Irish legend has it that if you are born within one of these, then you are destined to have good luck.
does anyone have any clues for the ha7/36?
this is the re 6/21 which means to give
or to present
ha7/36 is someone who runs a company to take things to places
It is formed off the ha4/6.
Thanks Preethi - I have it now.
:) yw
i dont get it haz!!
some other clue for ha 7 Haz. I dont ahve the ha 4
Okay - ha4/6 is what fishermen hope for - or another word for 'to pull'. The past tense is ha6/27 and ha7/36 is the one who does the pulling
what witches brew in s that in there?
Thanks Haz
Got it
No - but use the start of that word for the ca4/6 I was talking about earlier.
actually, Haz, the past tense is HA 6/27, the person doing it is HA 6/24, and a company doing it would be HA 7/36. There is one missing in there, but it's all so close
Dint get the Ha 7. Got the other two
Then put another vowel into your ha6 to get the 7 Preethi.
okay, start with HA 4/6 - a fisherman's HA** (or their take). Then, the next 3 build off of that word.
Oh truly, h's are evil!
The the c's ! they are self explanatory!
the next word is the past tense of HA 4/6. the one after that is what you would call someone who actually did HA 4/6. The final word again builds on HA 4/6, but adds one more vowel before the final two letters the word before it
I've found a de8/50 - what happened when the train went off the tracks.
could i please have a clue for ac6/24?
Got it. Thanks Haz, JMann
yw
hey can somepeople give me some clues for the O words
Got it Haz
maddie how come your not on msn?
i am jake on maddies things she wants me to get some word for her
okay
do you have the O words PM
The bottom two o words are oh4/6 - make this into a past tense word. oh4/5 - almost an American state but ending in a different vowel.
ac6/24, a plus vowel plus a hawaiian ***.
The top o words - the one I have is on7/28 - meaning more cross or cantankerous.
thanks cat
you're welcome mrp
I need clues... I have to finish!
nope maddie, cat i don't get the hawaiian bit...........
mrp do you have the 8 and 9 letter words?
I do, I am missing some fishcake words
its what hawaiians wear around their neck, made of flowers
HOW many 'RE' words? Twenty one!
dr6 ?
yea
TY cat!
dr6/24 - a spinning top - think Hanukkah.
thanks Dianne!
he7 please ?
le5 please ?
mrp do u have di9/66- someone might have an upset tummie and suffer from di*******
I have that PM, I need the ones I have asked for actually :))
oh sorry!
Sorry mrpresident - can't help you on the ones you are looking for.
Regarding the dr6/24 - the spinning top - I found this a while ago and tried all the different spellings - but it's not showing up in the dictionary. Anyone else having this problem?
I am guessing they are not fishcake words!! No prob PM, just need to get finished, your clue is great
thats 8/50 PM
ne 7 ? ...... please
more ne4
me too thesnark
tar a lot
i dont have the di 9. any clue?
PM gave a good clue Preethi
I got that. But tahts a 8 letter word rite?
glad I'm not alone - must work for some and not for others. Please note - if you're looking for good clues, almost all the ones being requested show up earlier in the chat log. You'll find them.
It's a 9 letter word Preethi.
he7 - strange word. Take most of the fish and past-tense it.
Thanks broll!! great clue!
well i have to go now- bye everyone
bye PM! see you soon!
Bye for now PM.
there are two Haz. One is 8/50 and the other. Got them both
yw. I tell you, Babble makes your brain change! I monkeytyped that one on the first try.
bye PM
Dianne, I'm really having problems finding the DR 6/24, any more clues on it?
ok, that leaves the elusive le5 ?? any hints ?
le5. Another strange one. Add the Hawaiian dance with one letter missing.
JMann, I have seen it spelt with an e before the last letter, normally?? it is in the dictionary if that helps
what do you mean by fishcake words?
Thans preethi - I eventually found the di8/50 word. Famers round here just call it 'the scoots'. Much easier to spell!
:) yw
JMann - After your clothes are washed, they are dr***. Switch the vowels, and add a consonant on the end.
Jmann - just a warning on the dr6/24 - it's not showing up for everyone (I've tried seven different spellings, including the 'correct' one and it isn't showing up, so don't be surprised if you don't get it. :-)
the snark - spinning top - its got a consonant at the end of it dr6 strange spelling
Got that. Thanks mrp, broll
Dint get the le 5. some other clue?
Hi CJ25 - I have tried and it's still not showing up for me.
farmers around here call it the squirts
A descriptive lot, are farmers.
thanks everyone for the clues. I did finally get it. the clearest explanation is broll's, so check that one out
when something isnt wet anymore its Dr5/24 swap over the vowels and then add a consonant thesnark
try looking it up in the dictionary, because they give alternate spellings
clue forhe 7?
dr5/14 I mean
Scroll down for broll's clue at 4.30 for the he7
well, hawiian doesn't work for me... le5 please???
le plus the hawaiian dance, but remove the tall consonant
what hawaiian dance? I am thick or what?
The one with the grass skirts!
oh THAT hawaiian dance... some one kill me!!
the dance where the girls swivel their hips :)

YW Cat.
I kept trying to put in the same word with a N on the end, earlier, forgot about the tree, thanks :)

egm - there is an al5/12 word that has to do with wood.
I soooo love this game, and have learned so many new words, and appreciate all the great people here and their willingness to help :)
I feel the same way Cat9x
thanks
ditto! :-)
:)
ditto again
I agree with you Cat - my problem is that I don't like this new format and am afraid I wong' move the cursor back and will be typing in words instead of chatter.
my phantom word for the day is derriere
I actually like having the chat box on the right with this new format, but then again, I haven't been here long. I do, like you, dislike the cursor problem.
LOL amanda, mine was aloha!
It would be great if it automatically jumped back to the "add word" space after you post.
...along with the driads and neriads who insist on being spelled differently
i have 34 words
egm....did you get the ET word? al5/10
no
howdy how many words guys

thank you Uneaix!!! Wonderful!
yw!
He's done something with his columns - if you enlarge the window then drag it smaller you can see how the checkbox column moves and the others stay put. Should be easy to fix as soon as he knows about it
off to grab some coffee--BBL
bye Uneaix!
bye all, beddie by time :)

anj, do the honours
unless anj is REALLY hiding...
If you don't get an easy word and you clue for it... then we slap you up the side of the head with a dead wet fish!! Tends to wake up the dead..... :)
SWEET. yet to be fished...
hpefully never fished
well actually we usually just slap ourselves.
Gollum, Gollum, sweet fishy

hi TO :)
Whoops, just updating my profile, heh heh heh...
Hello Temple!
So just how is the Fish of Obviousness doing?
*rushes to anj's profile to see if he's eloped with lola*
well bless my soul! anj!
Hey T-Owl : )
Hi TO!
nice to see everyone this AM!
Good morning all!
(or afternoon or evening, as the case may be!)
Good point, TO -- I stand corrected :)
aw ch- that was for me, not you!
hi ch1212!
(chuckles) works for me too
*pokes around the corner* i see you anj!! :D
ch -- is that you in your photo? or a daughter?
...but I'm in disguise!
anj, dressing up like a fish isnt much of a disguise for you!
calder
evanadine, that's my beautiful daughter who got married this past weekend. She's now on her her honeymoon - Bahamas cruise.
and anj discovers the new system...
...heh heh heh. Guess who isn't used to the new layout : /
...and it isn't even a valid word : s
...but almost!
anj: as you can see we need a new fish! but it's only for those who slip and don't put in a real grid word! : D
...oh dear. It might have to be something exotic. We are getting charged a fortune for 'normal' white fish atound here just now...
anj: you cannot use the word "normal" in babblelonia.. ( you HAVE been away for too long!)
Whoops, I must have uninstalled my Babbleverse Protocols... Would we settle for a carp?
i must go : ( so nice to see you...babble at work is really a nono but i like to stop in and say hi- be back at lunch!
Anj, I just returned yesterday after a bit of an absence myself (daughter's wedding) and it seemed like several regulars were missing ... where have you been? Did you elope as the log suggested?
morning, Babblers. This is an excellent grid for monkey-typing.
moring ch and angel!
Hi Angel!
Hi Anj! Nice to see you here. A carp would do very well, since it's an anagram of what most people say when they accidentally type a word in the wrong place.
hi mr.p and angelson and jacula and ... everyone!
welcome back, ch..hi, mrp...:)
Ch1212, no, I just needed a break from looking at the computer. I seemed to be spending my life here... Hope the wedding went well : )
Hello Babblers.:)
Lickety made me feel really good yesterday, MrP.
Hi Jac! : )
hey, Jacula
and Jac!
The wedding was glorious -- not a hitch, both families becoming friends, the newlyweds blissful, and truly a blessed union of joy! Thanks
hi jacula
hi jacs!
Hey Angel! Glad to hear that! He is a good person!
I'd better put this beer away - I believe it's crustacean day today.
oh crustaceans! I just eat them!
jacs: beer goes well with crabcakes...
Someone spare my monkeys and clue me on the le5/14, pleeezzz?
I now have crabs... I mean a crab. Refresh!
Lickety told me he began his wonderul list because I inspired him with my resource pages.
amanda, my monkey didn't get that either!! le + hawaiian dance minus the tall letter
I hate this grid today!
hi all... 105 words without a list woo hoo!
My monkeys thank you, mrP!
Now I see that Lickety's list is a bit wonky today...
I'm exactly halfway through the grid.
I have 72 left to find.
*dang* work is piling up today...looks like a busy one!
arden
you keep leaving off a letter, Anj!
LOL! It must be my browser... : /
That's a forest, Anj. LOL.
put a t on that, anj lol
Just as well my keyboard is on the fritz hahaha... Sorry folks...still getting used to this diplay : s
Lickety is on the way!!
argh, what a grid
i can't believe i've got the list and STILL having trouble
clues for AC6 and AD6?
hurshy your icon is interesting -- what's the theme today?
hurshy-ad6 is to glom onto something.
oh my icon is way out of date, it's tectonic plates from plate day
ty eva
ah, I missed that. thanks
yr wlcm
AC6 - ac+vowel + sounds like what hawaiians wear around their neck.
any help with the ca 7/36?
thanks kkiln!
ty kkiln
*UPDATED* my icon to reflect todays theme! (had to edit the picture to cut out you-know-who...heh)
that's A's done... 18 to go
Kateq - the ca7/36 has to do with volcanos
thanks amanda! Nice word
lovely, evan...nothing worse than stale beer..LOL!
it is, isn't it. And it sort of gives me the cauldron I want to be in this grid
I know-just to bad one can't make a latin plural out of it
anj has been gone for a while...i dont think he realizes im now single + on the prowl...teeheehee
you know that you can get part of your cauldron, right? Half a loaf.....
bye all!! happy babbling! bon voyage hurshy!!

how long will you be gone?

grace-one of them..."Your ____Tea Shoppe-alt spelling
Grace, au4/6 - scottish for not young...
grace, think lang syne, and then an ending for the second one
yes amandacath... it's very aggravating
Hursh - don't you want to make a quick stop in Hamburg while you're over here?
there are 2 TO - a 4 and a 6
lol amanda - way too many stops already :)
I know amanda-when it's actually used, unlike many of the other stupid re's!!! People at casinos ak for re_____ all the time!
hurshy, I can't imagne 5 weeks of babble without you -- you've become a 'regular fixture' :)
lol...well it would probably be a welcome relief
no, of course not! You will be missed, I'm sure
you know you'll suffer from withdrawal, and you definitely will be missed
Awww - it really is a lovely city. But I understand you giving Germany a miss right now. It's pretty much booked up, what with the World Cup
really though, it should be no problem to babble intermittently. prob not every day, but i won't be completely gone
you're leaving us hurshy?
wait, to go to europe? That's acceptable :)
oh of course *i* will have withdrawal, anguish, grief... i just meant YOU all would have a welcome break from me
I was only away for a week or so and had serious withdrawal. In addition to my daughter's wedding, I also had to stop because of "babble elbow syndrome" from too much computer :)
when do you leave hurshy?
You'll be free of me for a fortnight soon, when I go to Crete.
in about 5.5 hours
But Europe! 5 weeks! Worth it!
oh wow! i'm sorry you have to leave on such a carpy grid day!
Hurshy - Enjoy your trip!
yes, Hurshy, have a good time. Be safe.
so let's see... my "who's hot" ranking will return to normal on...august 18th
Jacula, Crete? Wow. More photos to share when you get back!
have a good trip, hurshy
see you all keep talking as if you won't see me, but i'll be here some days :) bringing a laptop with wireless, it's just a matter of which days i'll have time
yes, have a wonderful time, hurshy.
Jacula, have a great tip, Crete, wow!
well, august 19th, cause it doesn't update til the next day
we're a travelin' band of babblers
i hope hurshy and jacula both have safe and happy vacations
hoal

T-Owl at least it adds a lttle spice to the proceedings : ) Now for a small bribe I might just do that for a 9 when I find one... : D
this is hard without word lengths... got to find another list.
there are alot of good phantom words today: derriere, cauldron, trident, driad and neriad (who both want to be spelled differently) are the ones that my fingers keep wanting to put in. Oh, and caliente
Anj!!!!!
Hey Mab : )

ok meeting time..good to see you anj! plese remember me to lola
OK T-Owl, will do : )
well you alerted me to those words being there so i don't have to spend as much time figuring out which R's i need from the list
ahhh, well then, yw again
Just found that di8 (not using a list). YUK!
okay... got to stop now with 48 to go. Thx for the help all...
and the 9's are both related jac :)
isn't it just too cruel that we must enter it twice
hmm.... LE5 help?
3 times!
say it aint so
bye Grace
le 5 ends like a small dog
it's so. BOTH 9's are related.
It's a word I have to think hard about spelling anyway! Easier to say ' the sh**s'! LOL. *Searches for other 2 related words.*
that's a nasty one, hursh - le + hawaiin dance less a letter
3 times? Pass the Immodium... : s
thanks abe, that worked, and thanks amanda, that would've worked if i hadn't already got it from abe's :)
thank you Jac, ugh is right
yw hurshy
three; well i never....
****! I NEARLY entered the 2nd 9 letter in here... : /
Got 2. Now where's the other? *Peers at grid.*
!!!!!
maybe the third is french
one 9 is an adj, one 9 is an alt spelling
diarreah
Got all 3. Immodium time!
sorry :)
...there's a lot of it about! : )
*Sprays air freshener around the chatlog.*
5 R's to go and that's all!
good heavens, a 5 and 4 6's
LOL jacs!
LOL jacs!
do we have enough tissue?
The Charmin is sooo soft!
but please don't squeeze it!
Good afternoon all :)
Although for the really big job, we probably need Scott's 1000 rolls :D
What the heck are the other two???
spritey spritey aphrodite
Hi Sprite -- can't imagine what you think of the chat log at this point ;)
hi sprite
hi sprite
mighty spritey
Hi Sprite. You need a peg on your nose to be in here. It's a smelly grid.
lol!
*puts peg on nose and digs in*
<--- a little help for the grid.
*hopes sprite is using a shovel and not her hands*
oh! it didn't change, lol
aw, jrh - say it with pepto
It did :)
people just have to refresh (or click on it) to see it
And what is Dzongkha!?
LOL jrh. It can be seen on your profile though. Hate that stuff; it takes like Germoline. Not that I've ever tasted Germoline, but you know what I mean.
Sprite: it's what you say when you need pepto... "What wrong, honey? Dzongkha!"
bdee bdee bdee!
That's me finished! Have fun, all - gotta do semi-useful things
Ah! Thanks! :)
or what other people say when you need pepto.
congrats, amanda!
yay, amanda, bye
woohoo, amanda
congrats amanda
There's something a little odd here. I've got 2 to get and I've got 11 of the 13 R words. This agrees with Lickerty - I've got 2 RE 6 to find, but my word stats show that I've got 2 x 6 and 1 x 9 to get. Plus, I've entered one of the DI 9 letters and it's been credited as a 10!
congrats amanda
I'm off to do something constructive in the garden. BBL for my remaining 47. Happy Babbling!
later jacula
sue, try refreshing
later, Jacula happy gardening!
There is a gremlin in your babblecomputer, Sue!
refresh sue
sue: sometimes the grid isn't what it appears. ask Neo.
Thanks, Mab - a refresh has cleared the word stats. The other problem has been sorted too. So I notice jrh! Thank you all. Just one left to get now. I'm glad I hadn't re6;21 on the grid!
Found one 9... how on earth can the other be related???
it's an alternate spelling of the 8
Try alternative spellings, Sprite.
There are all related - one nine is a variation of the spelling of the eight, and the other is the condition relating to it.
Yes, that is what I read in the log, but I cannot come up with another spelling... *starts monkeytyping wildly*
hi all
random clues plz!!
Ah... got it! *gives monkey a banana*
sprite: it's a british/medical spelling
hurshy was so proud she found all the 8's and 9's all by herself today!
only one 8 and no 9s yet here...
You must be an expert on the subject, hurshy! :)
*squirms*
I nearly did too, but missed the third yuk
it's probably cause of my sister. she's very into gas, bloating, and any other gastrointestinal problems.
i mean she likes talking about them.
...is she a proctologist??? : s
she is 'into' it?
Both my kids had a period that they did the same ;)
no she's just a goofy youngest sister
ok but my sister is 22
Hey, ET is in the grid too :)
(sneaks in from work to see who's here...)...do my eyes deceive me, is that ANJ!! Hi!!!
ET, ALF, Spock, Worf, lots of friends
Hey EB! : ) I'm today's special guest : D
ok, found an 8-9 combo... any directions as to how i find the others?
welcome back!!
IT's been a while...although I must admit to finding this one heavy going...
Evanadine, take the hockey stick off the end and plug a hoop in there...or vice versa : )
one of george eliot's characters - in daniel deronda, I think - wishes that she did not have to eat, that she could just absorb nutrients like the leaves on trees. I'm like that.
ok, found the other 9 -- are there 2 different 8s dealing with the same topic?
the yuk factor included
no one 8 and two 9's on that topic
i love the webster's definiton for the di8...
Anj - I'm the same way..I've been so busy at work, haven't had as much time/brainpower left to babble...did a grid the other day that took way too long!! ; )
okie dokie then...i have 2 8s starting with D. just the last 8 im missing :)
re8
its always gotta be the REs, doesnt it!?
re8... past tense of re6... do things to walls, or make something obsolete
thanky anj! *runs away to get more work done*
I just discovered an internet resource, a Table of British and American words. Handy. At http://www.textfiles.com/fun/brittish. txt
It helped me with that alternate spelling for the di9
ch1212 - that is interesting!
I like this site: http://www.phrases.org.uk/ -but it's not any help for babble.
Thanks jrh - I'll check it out!
That's a nice link :)
Both of them :)
<--- notice my new, new icon
I saw it, jrh and had to click on your profile to make sure I was seeing what I thought! I like your style ("I'm special...") LOL!
I made it myself. Putting it on here is much better than on Mom's refridgerator
LOL!!
glad you like it!
Hi All
hi tiny :)
pretty adorablel, jrh
hi tiny
mab: far into the left with Noam Chomsky? Haven't you come out on the otherside yet?
what is on the other side - falling through the looking glass?
Can anyone help me I would like to upgrade to Pro but I do not have a credit card so how else can I pay
can anyone help with the re6/ 24, please
good question. though I think Alice is probably libertarian.
Re6/24 show that you don't want or like it
reluct
Yes, that's it ;)
thank you...got it
tiny i paid via PayPal
sorry
Yes, we saw you did, LOL
thanks, dromano66
very sorry
thanks, dromano66! :)
dromano gives the best clues :)
i am an idiot
Happens to all of us, don't feel bad! Blame the site :)
I dont have paypal either
no worries, droman -- we've all done it (or will at some point!)
at least it was a real word, I monkeytyped like six words into the chat log yesterday
much to everyone's amusement
no, drom - it's the design, not you
Darn, I missed that, jrh!
Tiny, you might contact Dr. God and ask Himself -- he can tell you how else to pay.
it was funny - and embarassing
Ok Thank You For Your Help
your welcome!
Morning all. I'm starting early hoping to finish the a's before the workday begins, and I'm already stymied by ad6--any help for that one please?
There were some pretty nasty words in there today for a small grid.
does anyone have a clue for the 9?
hetty: stick to something
Miss Hetty, it means to stick to something, like glue
Eva, think imodium
eva: my icon relieves it :)
Eva, do you have the di 8? They build off that.
Eva, one 9 is an alternate spelling of the 8, the other 9 is the condition of the 8
LOL, I just realized what your icon was. Did you change it just for that?
I did!
Excellent clue!
and I've been waiting patiently for someone to ask about the 8 and 9's
circling around it-have the8, but can't seem to figure out the 9's but will....
Thanks, I had discarded that as being one letter short! Fine way to start the day. Bless you ch1212.
okay! got the one with the long stick at the end. Now need to find the alt spelling
Thank you! I like your icon -- beautiful mountains
Eva, if you have the z's, they end exactly the same as the last three letters in those.
thanks bunny, but don't have the z's yet
ch1212 are you still here
I am indeed, Tiny.
How do I contact Dr_God?
His email address is at the bottom of this page -- on the "Send them" box. It will pop up automatically.
and thank you, sprite. Happy days. My present ikon is the view from my window.
okay-I give-can someone help me with the other 9 that's the alternate spelling?
Eva, it's the garden implement with the first vowel
I have the one that ends like the opposite of fake
put an o in there eva
the other is the adjective form
or, your first 5 letters of the 8, plus the garden tool plus the first vowel ... Now see why I couldn't find it without help?
plus, the alternative spelling is in most dictionaries under the di8
thank you all! ch that clinched it!
I'm still missing an 8. I have: de8/50 x 2. What's the other one?
re8/50
re8/50
re 8/50
Oh no! Not the dread re's!!!!
and once more, this time with harmony ... re8/50! :D
ch1212 I have sent a note to Dr_God
got it! It wasn''t a re re ...just a normal word. What a RElief!!
Great, Tiny -- He's pretty good about responding the same day. Unless it's the 7th Day :)
re8... what you do to fat when cooking.
Eva, would you care to share a clue about that de 8/50 ?
how about the tu/8 anyone?
ch-what causes a train wreck
Grace, little Miss Muffet -- first 4
ahhh, thanks Eva (slaps self with trout)
be gentle to that trout ch(-: We will all need to use it again and again
Grace, just realized my clue was nonsense. Okay, first 3 letters of Miss M's seat, then beverage letter
aha!
there isn't a tu8 that I know if
sorry.. meant the tu 4/8
phew!
It's a Rainbow Trout, Eva -- they are bred to be 'hardy' (Okay, inside joke -- one of the early pioneers of trout farming in Idaho was named Hardy.)
the third letter of miss muffet
good afternoon everybody:)
'seat isn't in the grid
trout humor no less...you never know when such information will come in handy.
yes it is, sorry
hetty-how can seat bein the grid when there's no s?
I've got a whole mess of re words left to do... grrr.
Eva, it's Miss Muffet's seat ... as in Little Miss Muffet sat on her tu****
So ... the first 3 letters of her 'seat' then add the beverage letter for that tu 4/8
OK Eva, my fingers as usual. Now, hving found the "f", I can not proceed further--nowhere to go but an obvious no-no
ontuft
oh-and that isn't there. Well, it actually hasn't rained yet today, a minor miracle, so I'm going to head out to the garden for a while. That,of course, will bring the rain on immediately.
eep... monkeytyping ...sorry
:D That's a good one, Eva !
Now I've seen the other T. I need a whiole basket of fish thrown at me today
Eva, of course you could just take the last 4 letters of GraceM's 10:04 entry :)
consider yourself fish showered hetty
Grace, how could you monkeytype a false clue while I'm submerged in fish already
my bad.
this is like one of those children's games of telephone....I have had the tu word for a long time, but then when hetty wrote "seat", I thought it peculiar, because there is no s, and then grace or someone wrote about tu8 and that confused me too . As you can tell, I am easily confused.
looking for that on/7
Eva, it happens to me at least once a day in my Babble travels :) Nice to have company
Grace: I went with "ontuer" as my made up word. As in, "Led Zepplin was tired from months ontuer."
nice!
Eva, I'm so happy to have found a soul-mate this fine morning
I know, i know, I should write for Jeff Foxworthy.
phew... got it.
in addition to ch1212 i mean
We sail along together, Miss Hetty .. and Eva
Good Night all it is 1:14am in Australia see what Babbler does to me keeps me up at night and once again thanks ch1212
or your help I am only new at this
You're welcome, Tiny -- we look forward to welcoming you as a Pro too! Sleep well
You too when you go to bed
Night, Tiny. I have a daughter in Oz
Now, facing another fish barrage, plea tell me ch1212 or Eva, what is the other al5?I have the tree
It's the person from outer space, Miss Hetty
Or someone who is visiting a country, legally or illegally
Thanks, ch. wouod have found him f I'd gone to the
right "e"
Gee. fish fingers
Any help on the o's - I'm not a pro so don't know where to start!
Yes, I get those fish fingers from baiting too many hooks
Becca, there are 4 o's, and at least 3 are 4 letter words
Begin at the very beginning, it's a very good place to start--why I always start with a's. Sorry, I'm a long way from the o's yet
and one on7 ...
hi all clues for the z plz
hi everyone - lunch time! gee the a's are slow today for me...
Becca, for you I've done some of the O's, and the first od is simple --I have an IDEA--just change first vowel
welcome back, Temple Owl!
thanks hetty - I didn't even know that was a word! still struggling with these - staring blankly at screen!
Gee, Miss Hetty, I have just AHED and **** at your clue!
od4/5 - a poem and a vowel, oh4/6 - past tense of the letters given, oh4/5 - differs from the American state by the last vowel, on7/28 a comparative adjective for a word meaning cantankerous.
Haz, you are wonderous ... and wonderful -- thanks for that cantankerous 7
You're welcome!
Yup, I agree Haz--tho I was looking for another"r' in the word, so I'll just alert others to its elision
Haz - you're a star - just got all the o's. Thanks
I'm glad it helped Becca.
hetty - you'll notice the verb form of elision is in the grid?
Haz, do you mind my asking -- are you / were you an English instructor?
I* hadn't got that far, Haz. Thanks
No - I studied languages but have never taught English.
You have all the necessary skills to do so, Haz, plus the essential caring and sharing nature
Ah, you studied languages. That explains it! My beloved is the same way -- he is fluent in 4 languages and reads/writes in several others. You speak like he does at times when he defines words.
I'm stuck on two ha words. One is ha4/6 first or second in Lickety's list. The other is the first ha6/24 on Lickety's.
any hints for ac6,24?
Cherish your literate husband, ch
Merk - thinking of moving house?
ch1212 - it becomes second nature to define words in a particular way, in the same way as my husband talks in medical terms. A nosebleed is never a nosebleed, it's an episode of epistaxis!
I do, Miss Hetty, I do. He was a marvelous guide when we toured Italy last year, and could speak with everyone we met -- Italian, Spanish, German and of course English speakers.
a + rhymes with stubborn animal + vowel
LOL Haz!
tuo, begin with acumen and cut of the last letter before adding the floral garland they offer in the South Seas
Moving house, Becca? Add to that, please.
Is that for the ha6/24?
American van hire company (I think - as I'm in the UK I hope I haven't got this wrong!)
ty abe!
I must leave for a bit. Happy babbling all -- I'll be back later.
It's the ha4
Merk - ha4/6 is another word for 'to pull'. ha6/27 is the past tense, ha6/6/24 is the person doing the pulling and ha7/36 is the company prepared to move your goods around.
yw tuco. see you later ch
Bye ch1212 - have a good day.
Can you tell me the third letter of it?
Sorry, Merc, I was cluing tuco with his ac6
It rhymes with bat and ball, Merk
bye ch!
Maz, I have that ha6/24, Someone who brings things in a truck. It is the earlier ha6/24 that I am missing.
I mean, Haz
merk: think of what you sprinkle on icy sidewalks and driveways...
The earlier one is ha plus what you put on top of a jar plus a vowel.
Thanks, Haz. You always come through. Now I am missing either the first or second ha4/6. I have the one that ends in a past tense ending. It's the other one.
The first ha4/6 is the scottish version of had, and the second one is the low fence that sounds like a laugh.
that is a low fence? wow, i never knew that. thanks haz
It must be the fence one I am missing, but I don't know the word for a low fence. I got the sound of a laugh, but do I end in a vowel?
Yes, Merk - it's just a repeat of the first two letter.
Abe - in days of yore the aristocracy built low fences that would not spoil their view of the countryside.
I am so mad at myself. I have to check the grid more. I was starting with the wrong H and couldn't find the final vowel of course. Duh! So that's a low fence. Where? In England?
More of a hidden ditch than a fence, but yes, of course, where else but England?!
The word certainly appears in some of Jane Austen's works - I'll not be able to quote the exact reference. I doubt whether the term is used much any more.
i'm glad that it has an actual meaning, unlike some of these words!
hiya sha
I know a South African who built one of those fences in California, so there!
Yup in England--where they also built follies. Now Hax I'm stuck on what you put on top of a jar. Can't build from a "c'--?
And Elizabeth admired the one at Darcy's estate in P & P
It's what you also can put on top of a bin. It rhymes with the dry ar4/5
Thanks. Of course.
Erda - I bet he had better views than the English aristocracy too!
And now I must take the dog for a walk - providing that I can get get her wakened from her slumbers, that is. Have a good day, everyone.
If he was South African he woud be a colonial. Yo know hgow this Britd took the old empire with them wherever they went. In ruralo Manitoba there's the remains of an estate where they built a ballroom and kept a troop of foxes to oblige their imported hounds
see you later haz!
bye haz
i have the z 4/9 any clues on the other one please
I need a clue for the le5/14 pllease.
Bye, Haz, thanks for the help today
add a letter to the end, mickie12

cu6/24 a fish

crustaceans, jrh
I even made a new icon... *sigh*
I like it jrh!!!!!!!!
Hey, jrh, I think last time a saw you you weren't pro!
didn't you see me yesterday?
Possibly, not, since it was a short one. Anyway, welcome to pro-hood.
thanks !
how did I become a pro?
Is this a rhetorical question?
Usually a pro is someone who gets paid to do something. Here on Babble the pros are the ones who pay to do it. Hmmm...
Umm... should I just say yes?
oh, well yes, I did pay - seemed like the right thing to do
LOL Vicuna
jrh402's, alright i'll bite , Dzongkha?
good morning all -- just got up ... dhZONGka!
yippee jrh!
oops, forgot to change for today. brb
Morning stidmama
Dzongkha (རྫོང་à½) is the national language of the Kingdom of Bhutan. The word "dzongkha" means the language (kha, à½à¼‹) spoken in the dzong (རྫོང་), dzongs being the fortress-like monasteries established throughout Bhutan by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyel in the 17th century.
Praes - okay, that's the actual definition
You learn something every day!!!!!LOL
however, I'm trying to introduce it as an exclamitory remark in the vein of "yowsers"
as in , "Dzongkha! What big eyes you have grandma."
why?
hi Stid :)
trying to be the next bart simpson?
22 left but I need sleep - be back later..hi stid bye stid :)
I think it's a fun word.

YAY BryanC!
thanks all. stidmama, how'd you get that grey icon?
I have "ohed", but I just can't figure the ones out, BryanC. Thx.
bye not selected gender...
badgirl...its bad form to post words from the grid
or "by" not selecting gender...
ah it's very cool. i may have to go non-gendered myself
rolin's right Badgirl- refer to Lickety's Babble Clues link on the bottom
nice barnacles, btw -- I love watching them feed. They are so graceful. When you play classical music it's like watching a ballet -- somehow they seem to sync up to the music!
i dont think she knew that was a word
I'm sorry, guys. I'm pretty new at this. Please be patient w/me.
np badgirl..we all do it some time
hi englishcanuck! I don't recall seeing you before.
no worries badgirl, we do it all the time!
thank you Stid. i'm learning things about them that i didn't even know...what is your creature?
ca7?
im rather sporadic in my playing
ooh just saw an add for the pirates of th caribbean2...dunno is i wanna see it...sequels are usually a disappointment
It is some sort of deep sea crustacean -- don't know its name. found it way into google images under crustacean.
ngle...apparentl...crater lake in oregon is one..
the life of a university student doesnt allow for a set time to plat unfortunately
that would be for angel..*sigh*
it's surreal-ly beautiful!
ah. I know how that goes, though thankfully my school days are (for now) far behind me!
or "surreally"? not sure
ah lucky, ive got 2 years at least
I think "critters" in general are fascinating. The aquarium in Monterey has a tank of jellyfish backlit in blue -- gorgeous.
stidmama, that is so funny...I felt the same way after I got my undergrad degree, until one day I found myself in graduate school. now, I'm beginning to think about a doctorate.
enjoy your time in school, english -- the ability to exchange ideas and be around people of similar interests is in my experience unmatched in the general work world...
im thinking about getting another diploma too
Oh -- I think about going back, LOL, but since I don't know what I want to be when I grow up... studies will have to wait until the children are through school and we have disposable income again!
oh i know, i already miss high school for its inane qualities, but i must say uni has impressed me. i enjoy this much more
good morning everyone!
I'm going back... hurrah for student life

Is it your birthday today Annie?
No, Stid, November 1st
Angel -- google Crater Lake. the ca 7 is a volcanic feature
oh good -- didn't want to be caught without cake and candles! :-)
lol, will you have mocha chocolate latte for my birthday, Stid?
of course, dear Annie! with all the trimmings or just IV drip?
LOL, you are wonderful, both would be sublime!
"subliminity" is my middle name! *grin*
im off, nice meeting you all and good luck!
bye, english
Any clue for the di 8 and 2xdi 9 please?
later english, see you around1
oh inge, I am nowhere close to finding those... *waiting for clues eagerly*
Inge, Stid, Ugh. when you have a stomach virus, sometimes you have di******. Pass the Pepto!
DI 8 is an unmentionable condition aka Montezuma's Revenge
you can check my icon too :)
Afternoon all! How's the grid today?
I will skip the di's then and continue with my h's. Well thank you Marymary
Just did jrh, perfect
so are trhe other di8 and the di9. They just get creative with spelling.
maybe I shouldn't be quite so eager for clues!
going to make coffee, bbl
Good morning Babblonians:)

I think re-deal is hyphenated
*thump thump thump* is this thing on? Hi everyone! How's the grid today?
hi Jen!
Hi Jen!
the grid's fine, hop on in
JEN? JEN! --HI JEN!!!!!
Thanks guys! :) Hope you are all well today!
Hi Jen, did that space bar of yours ever get fixed? Or are you typing on a new computer/ I was out of town for a week.
Inge, hubby came home that weekend and fixed it for me!
inge -- I was looking for two di 8 and one di 9 -- but there is only one di 8 and two di 9... do you still need cluse?
let's hear it for hubby! dhZHONGka!
stid -- I don't know about inge, but I could sure use a clue or two
I am about to hyp;erventilate. in just a few weeks, we're going to be buying a house for the first time!
Congrats angelsong! :)
oh Angelsong, that is wonderful! I quite understand the excitement... owning our own spot has been really nice.
and the "gods" are calling again... must see to their needs for a bit. back soon.
I'm so excited! I want a yard for my grandson to play in. we're thinking about a duplex, so my daughter and her family can rent to own the other unit.
today is Faeriekae's birthday.
sorry stid, I was distracted. I got all my di's now. But I need a de 7/36. the last in the list
WAsnt, Faerie starting her new job today???
de7/36 is one who de6/24s
Happy birthday, Faeri. Lang may your lum reek!
she started yesterday, Inge
which was a babbler's greeting if ever there was one!
hello again
hi firefly!
Hello, firefly. (and everyone else)
thanks Vicuna.
i just found a word related to today's icon theme! neat...
where'd everyone go???
vicuna....a clue for de6/24?
how many words today?
I'm still here, just fuming over the RE's.
168
Do both di9/66's start with the 8/50?
yes gwenski
dr 5/12 besides "i DR5/12 " the fish slappingi'll get when i finally find this word"...
Yes, they do. One is an adjectival form of the 8/50, the other is the British/medical spelling with the addition of an o before the last vowels.
thanks abe. I'll just keeping trying to get the missing one.
Which dr5/12 are you looking for, TO, if that isn't a silly question?
That did it Haz! Thanks.
g/evening all, hows things
hi oggy!!!
hi oggy
not the one where i dr5/12 the answer!
excuse me - i so want that word to be in the puzzle...no the one that is drab
My break's over -- back to work. In case anyone really cares! :)
there are 3 dr5/12
aww, by gwenski
bye
Howdy, everyone! did anyone else catch the match between Tunisia and Saudi Arabia?
hi Deutsch
and not the top
by gwen
My eyes are falling shut. Have to take a nap. Will be back for the last 31 words.
the one u put clothes in
TO- it's where I often inadvertantly leave my clean clothes after washing
Hi firefly, I'm a big fan of the square, yellow guy!
"nite Inge
i thought it was a cute fit for today's them - i like him too!
ugh, *theme*
to have u got it now
anyone have a hint for the ca7? I've seen the volcano clue but that's not helping me.
i have that one thanks marmary...
Grace- It's like the word for the pot that a witch makes her brew in, but replace the 'on' with the 'a'
what's the volcano clue?
Hi all.
it is either before the drab one or immediately after it
TO - is the one that sounds like what a train does when it comes off the tracks?
ca7 - take the four letter word that means opposite of warm and change the vowel. To that add a long period of time, as in the Edwardian ***
TO - do you have the d + train track?
missing one of the first two dr5's. I have the one for depressing, as in a very cloudy day.
Which actually wasn't a very long period of time, come to think of it.
that would be it, firefly! Thanks! : )
yw TO
angel they have all been lued bwteen me and firefly in the last three minutes
ah... that did it...thx!
Angelsong - the other one is d plus what trains run on.
Hookay. I'm dressed for today's party. Zebra Crab...
i get it, volcano clue... :)
excellent icon choice Deutsch
Thanks, firefly!
Thanks, Haz - finally got that ca7.
You're welcome Charm!
Down to 3 - di8, di9 and di9. Help anyone?
rumpel: my icon has a clue
how many words
"when you're sliding into first...and you feel something burst..."
165
good clue jrh!!
lol abe
great clues!!!
been waiting all day to give that clue....
but not as graphic as abe's!
rumple - medical condition, along with vomiting, associated with food poisoning. The di8 is one version, the di9/66 is an adjectival form and the other di9 is the medical/British rendition with the addition of an o before the final vowels.
i was merely quoting a song...:)
i felt the same way abe about "wacko" (Jacko) in another grid
some clues call for pop culture references, i suppose
Haz, great breakdown
Thanks, again, Haz. You're on a roll today!
thanks!!
ac and ad?
u-haul isn't a word on here?
I'm glad to help.
steph: ad - stick to something
it should be!
ac6/24 - Think of a 4 letter y word that is used to indicate Christmas time. Take off the y, add it to the ac, and put the third vowel on the end.
got them, thanks!!
nice clue again, Haz
thanks haz!
You're welcome.
Haz, while you are on ca's, any tips for ca6 and ca5?
Bloody hell, abe, you got the same icon as me!!!!!!
what can i say, movieman, great minds t hink alike
movieman needs my Icon Cloak (see the Babble store)
you had steffi graf earlier!
abe abd movieman are twins!
I'm seeing double
abe and movieman are pod clones....
ca6/24 is French for notebook
I know, abe, but I though I'd join in for once!!!!!
i had the same problem with nrkii on Plate day - both had home plates
movieman has the crab from little mermaid and firefly has Mr. Crab from Spongebob.
well, i can change to an alternate sebastian pic, i was debating between two...
ca5/16 - add the 'lang syne' word to c.
Nah, keep it abe, it looks cool......
jrh, I think you're going to be wasted in law school....
yeah jrh, but abe has the same icon as movieman, and it's Mr. Krab with a K ;)
charm: my real calling is in cartoons
If the French notebook clue doesn't work, then ca plus an anagram of the leasing hi4/5.
i 'll have a slighty identity crisis, but that's ok!
firefly: nevermind, law school it is.
A friend of mine got through law school by drawing elaborate (and very silly) cartoons that illustrated all the things that would be on the bar exam.
jrh, at least that's an honorable profession, even if it involves starving in cold garrets.
charm: I no longer want to starve in cold garrets.
Ha, my french is quite up to it, as my Scots SHOULD be! Thanks enormously
vicuna: there's a book that actually suggests that
You're welcome, hetty.
Perhaps she got the idea from the book. At any rate, she had to use poster boards to make room for everything.
Or, jrh, you could become a beach bum, still respectable, even if hurricane season is already upon us.
Starving in cold garretts is overrated. But then, so are lawyers.
wow, that's dedication.
good one, Vicuna! lol
charm: I appreciate that you're trying to save my soul and reputation - but I already work in public relations. not much left of either
Just tell me you don't work for tobacco or whiskey or politicians.
two out of three ain't bad, right?
... sigh ...
Charm, Charm, we might all be axe-murderers here on the internet. You don't WANT to know too much about anyone!
(Though, as it happens, I actually am not an axe-murderer.)
I wish I worked for tobacco or whiskey, then I'd be rollin in the money
(Not even an axe-maimer.)
We might be. But I have the feeling we in babbleland are all nothing more than nice intelligent people looking for some sanity in an otherwise disordered universe.
would an axe-maimer by a psychopath with a conscience??
Could be, at that!
No, evanadine, just an incompetant axe-murderer!
(Please adjust the spelling in your own mind.)
I don't maim anything other than innocent vegetables and silent fruit.
is any vegetable really innocent?
until proven guilty of what? bad taste?
I've seen some truly evil eggplants.
<--- practicin' for his prosecutin' days
vicuna -- maybe hes not incompetent...maybe he just had bad aim + bad vision...cataracts!
what fruits are noisy Charm?
Oh, jrh, you didn't tell me you were going to go up against evil dooers. Maybe there is hope for your soul.
celery is truly criminal
the musical fruit?
Apples are noisy. Bananas like to sneak up on you.
no abe, BEETS are criminal
True, evanadine. After all, even axe-murderers are full of excuses these days!
charm: I'd like to prosecute people that commit crimes against children
Like feeding them celery?
that's my specific goal in law school
Thank you Haz, great clues. Got FIREWORKS. Going to put up peaches for the freezer.
I just figured out a neat trick. if you use lickety's list and Firefox browser, this will work for you, and it may also work with other browsers. I opened lickety's list in a new window, then reduced the size of the window by dragging the edges of it. now I can overlay the list with the babble word list and easily check off the words I've found.
vic: maybe really, really large amounts?
almost there, ahh... does anyone have any clues for ca 6/24, dr 6/24 or on 7/28??
For that, jrh, you'd be forgiven most anything. Have you ever heard of a lawyer (turned author) in NYC named Andrew Vacchs?
(Actually, I like celery fine. It was abe who thought it was criminal.)
no! similiar interest?
i know...soon theyll be trying to apply for workers compensation complaining of carpel tunnel syndrome!
yay rumple. i don't know firefly, celery is stringy andgross..vile, even
Look him up on the 'net or on Amazon, but his clients are abused children. And he has a real vengeance against the abusers. His books are wonderful (and disturbing) reads.
I strongly dislike broccoli
Yes, but it is the only thing that burns more calories than it contains. Good for dieting.
snow peas are gross
ca6 is someone who works at a till minus the s
re6/24 anyone?
Don't slander broccoli. Where would we be without Albert Broccoli????
i agree abe, stringy and gross, but smells nice...beets on the other hand are, well, just nasty all the way around
I will, Charm
I love veggies! I worked in the dining hall in college, and always made sure to serve up pertinent vegetable facts with the side dishes.

thx oggy.
mmm, roasted beets with goat cheese...
Yummy, pickled beets, Harvard beets, sliced beets in butter.

Borscht!
the person who rings up your groceries
igorms: they check you out

Ok, down to the dratted r's.
If you have the il4/4, stick a consonant on the end
il5/12 - il4/4 + consonant.
il5/12 - like adj version of il4
thanks!
How about ir5 and ir6? Please?
Hi all - just stopping in to take a quick look
ir6/18 - Dali painted pictures which were surre**. Change the sur to ir.
I don't have ir6, but ir5/12 is like an angry tir*** without the t
ir5/12 - sounds like what I do if I am a Viking, apparently means a decree of the sultan.
Hi, muse...TY Charm!
Cool crustacean, Vi!
yw, smithchick

Hey Fran!
I do not have those z words
zo = a girls name with the first vowel on the end
smith, what a pretty little shrimp you found!
zo5 = zo + not fake - r
Thanks all and hi Fran :)
the ZO words are very much keeping with our theme today, the zo4/9 is the larval form of crabs and other crustaceans!
Stid's icon looks like an alien shrimp!
oh words??
ty StephieC
hi fran!
you're welcome
hey abe! is that sebastian?
Midwestern state, change the last vowel and oh** and ahed
newbie question! with Lickety's clues, do you have to type every word you find in by hand, or is there another way to put them in order?

I'm back...Motherhood intruded upon my babbling. Hey evano! How are ya? I've been meaning to ask you if you had read any books by Lois Greiman...She reminds me a lot of Janet Evanovich!
Hello... Are you still here, Yoda?
hiya smith
no i haven't, but i may have to now!
i'm missing one di4/5
good thing i found evanovich first, greimnut just doens't ring as well.
one is rock group di** straits, the other looks like the face of a clock, but spelled a little different
She mainly writes historical romance, but she has two out called Unplugged and Unzipped that are contemporary. Very funny!
thanks fran!
hiya, ciabunny... early day?
LOL, evano
evanovich took her start in romance
I'm here, but I'm not you fav. Or am I?
brb, baby wants bottle
Of course you are!
Just don't tell the other nieces!
Um, yes. Early day. I am certainly not at the office. Again.
Good. We've already given the extra bedroom to Ralph & Louie
smith how about sisters?
have i intruded upon a family gathering?
They can squeeze me in. They've got a whole backyard!
any clues for the first dr 5/12?
We have a big yard and everyone is welcome
Yes you have...Yoda is trying to get me to incriminate myself about which of my many sisters is my favorite...Her mother tops the list!
d + what a train runs on
joefish would miss you
dr5 d+ra4/4
Thanks Stephie
oooooooh, smith! i don't have any sisters. (in laws on my hubbies side though) but my brothers future wife is wonderful.
I need a dr 6?
he'd get over it. and manny would have buddies to play with!
I have five sisters...One of which is elmer, Yoda's mom.
Smithchick feel safe in saying that, because my mom is the only one that plays this!
there might be a custody issue w/ manny
gotta be careful what you say in the log then, you wouldn't want that lot to find out you like me better than all them combined! shhhhhh...
LOL, evano! You'll be happy to know that of the four of us that are readers, we all love Janet Evanovich. So does our mom!
i'm confident i would win that battle. i'm manny's favorite.
Well, I've got to focus. Gotta go get my shaggy son a haircut before church tonight.
brilliant - if the movie ever comes out - you're all invited to the party!
hey, let him go shaggy and scandalize the parishoners!
ad6?
and annabelle will make 4... i must get back to work, particularly with the possibility of these extra mouths to feed. iluvubye
Cadfan - DR 6/24 -- is a top that Jewish people use at Hanukah....it is spelled very weirdly...

How funny! Is a job moving you down there?
Evanonut, there are NOT 525 words in this grid.
no! it says 525, right here
second to nut, are you sure you want to be first? I think that I'm only her favorite when she is talking to me. If she is talking to someone else they are the favorite.
a job for my husband. i will still work in sheridan and drive back and forth.
i'm telling you shutter
that's the best way to be! out of sight, out of mind.
Where on earth does it say that nut?
Nut is being a "nutcase" today... LOL

Darn, can almost get 'dreidel'.
try removing the last e, boatierra
boatierra, you can!
boat - leave out the last vowel
I did try it the other way, and it didn't take it. Then I realized I had switched the two vowels in the middle. Three cheers for Dictionary.com.
am i just spelling "cauldren" wrong?
cauldron, alas
cauldren isn't in the grid
ah, so close, thanks.

well, I am down to my last three, all of them re's: re 5/12 (first one) re6/18 (just before 'back') and re 6/21 (2nd one in the re list)
okie dokie...I have no life other than this grid. My husband is mowing and I don't want to work.

Hi Deutsch
Hi Fran

Yea for Inge!
yay inge!! hi mymuse!
Nancy, you can probably google the volcano thing, any article about volcanoes should have the word
AR a+RI5/12
oops son demand ing to be fed later alll ....:(
the second ar6/21 is more ar4/5 very dry
If by top of volvano, you are referring to the ca 7 - it isn't exactly the top... it's sort of what's there when the top isn't.....
the volcano word was my last 1.
there go those kids again!! lol
volvano, volcano... whatever.
the tourist map of yellowstone--the freebie you get at the gate--has a yellow line showing the ca*** of the volcano
bless you gramma, I now have only the volcano left....
correct, where the top isn't.
It took me an hour and then I begged
ca 7/36, A large crater formed by volcanic explosion or by collapse of a volcanic cone. If you paste this defintions into a search engine, you should come up with the word. Good luck.
I am still begging
I think thereis also a Lake Ca***** but I don't know where.
to get the volcano you could monkey around with the al5, tree typer
hey boa! didn't see you earlier
or think of Alexander C who made huge mobiles, and add a vowel
It sounds like the big steel pot witches brew up a storm in....

CAT, one is 6/21, one who re4/5s
re8/50, past tense of that
ten to go, and need an eyeball break. Back in mo' with my MJCL! anyone want anything while I'm up?
i'll take some MJCL!
the first re6/18, the third re5/12 and the second re6/21
CAT, were those the ones you needed? also means to draw as in plans
re6/18 is genuine + two vowels in reverse order
have re6/21- does the re8 build off of that
re5/12 is color + opp of off
yes peri
second re6/21 is latin plural of the 5 before it
can't figure out the re8 even with the clues :(
two vowels in reverse order?
WOOHOO!!!! FiREWORKS!!!! THANKS FRAN!!!
the re8 is the past tense of the re6 that means to draw in a realistic way
yay cat!!!!
peri, the later vowel comes first
Fran, found the re6 but it will not accepted past tense
did you add the talking horse peri?
I tried but it was not accepted
type slow peri, it worked for me.
Fran, I have tried 3 times, refreshed 3 times and typed in slowly and it will still not accept the past tense of re6, RATS
Maybe you're looking at the wrong re 6/21. It worked for me.
Re 6/21 that becomes past tense is also something you do with an animal to get meat
make sure you're working off the right re6 peri, it's the one after the re4/5 that means to rip
but before the lease
my monkeys are stumped, anyone have a clue for the on7/28?
on7/28--more stubborn, contrary
Uhoh, it looks like I do not have the right re6, the one I have start with a word that means genuine, is that the right one for the re8
no peri, it's towards the end of the REs
may I have a clue for the correct re6
so I was driving myself crazy for nothing :)
peri, it means to draw in a realiztic way, comes off the 4/5 before lease
yes peri, you were!! ;-) there were a lot of clues flying
sorry, that's realistic way
thanks libarebel, i'm done!!!!
yay, franmag!!!!!!!!!!!!
hi annie!
peri start with the re4/5 that means to tear or rip apart
wow, my 11th word of the grid was an 8 letter word!
hi everyone !
hi feather!! cool
hi helen!
Hi helen!
rock, rock, rock , lobster - cool
hi annie
Well, I finally found the re8, woo hoo
hi everyone!
thanks for all of the help
hiya feather - i have 71 , wanna race again? :)
hi feather!!!
yay peri! i could feel your frustration earlier!
i will later! i only have 13 now! and have to go do bath soon
Yay, peri!!!!
i just saw xmen 3
it's films like this that make me glad i'm a credit-watcher :)
I need to take advantage of the BabbleMassage from the Babble Store, bbl.
helen, not as cool as lobster bisque, i want to learn how to make that someday
was it good helen?
easier to just order it fran, unless you're patient :)
later peri!
i really liked it!
but i was sad, cause everyone else had left before the credits were over & the ALL missed the true end of the movie!
i'm just going to say, we can all start looking forward to x-men 4, lol
i always stay for all the credits also, usually to see the song credits
wow, i'm having a hard time seeing words
but of course, they're still making money, maybe even gettig better each time
the sheer # of stunt, craft & special effects people on this movie was nothing short of impressive! i don't see how they can possibly pay everyone, lol.
you're not alone feather, this one wasn't easy
unfortunately those people don't get too much of what the producers and stars take!
that's right fran, & i bet most work way harder
i don't know 'poor' rebecca romijn had to spend 7 hours getting into costume
back again...
she's back!
hint for the zo 4,9 please? Thanks!
i finished while you were gone stid and peri almost had a conniption
hee, got a little "risky business" era tom cruise in here...had a messy diaper, and 10 minutes till bathtime, so is now in a tee shirt, socks, and that's it!
my favorite painter, odilon re*** is in the grid today!
shutterbug, it's in theme, they are larvae of crabs and other crustaceans
zo+two more vowels
yeah fran - but again, those folks putting her into that costume were the ones working - she just sat there
true, must be a hard life *hand on forehead sighing*
again, i forgot that was her, until i saw her face! i like pepper dennis too!
Thanks! Got it now.
who's pepper dennis?
ra 6/18?
add a consonant for the 5/20 shutter
fran - guess what! i make my movie debut tomorrow (fingers crossed) the lake house opens, can't wait.
movie debut?
pepper dennis is rebecca romjin's show on the wb network - she plays a reporter, it's cute
stid, one who lays track perhaps?
or mobile home minus the t?
oh, i haven't seen it yet, what about your debut?
yeah - movie debut - was an extra in the lake house with kr & sandy, LOL, as they are called in the biz - keanu reeves & sandra bullock
good one mymuse
ty am learning from the "experts"
i really hope they keep my outstanding work as 'pedestrian' & 'bar patron' in the movie !!!!!
thanks! got it. 8 left
cool, i like both of them despite kr's duhhh look most of the time. you'll have to capture it when it goes on DVD and post it somewhere for us.
go stid go!
i bring it up to brag, lol - but also cause i sat around for 11 hours before my scene, i got to walk behind sandy as she crossed wabash in downtown chicago -
evening all I am really stuck on the ca 6/24
funny helen! will they put you in the credits or did they think your name was 'hey you'
that short scene took them over 2 and 1/2 HOURS to shoot! her just crossing the street!!! and she looked so very sad & lonely standing there by herself waiting for each take!
sheryl, so was i! it's the person that checks you out at the supermarket and i don't mean the cute guy in produce!
rumours floating that she may be preggers
minus that crooked letter
and then i realized she was making literally $100,000's more per hour than me -then i didn't feel sad for her anymore!
oh yeah forgot that minus the S sheryl!
did Jesse James come around?
LOL about the produce guy fran
got it fran ty
yw sheryl!
good mrng all, i didn't get it... we call them cashiers ahahaha
brb, son wants chocolate milk, i think i have a budding chocoholic on my hands, hear that stid!!
nope, i didn't see him -but i did briefly talk to one of the stars (which us lame extras are NOT supposed to do) - i still don't know her name, she won (i think) an oscar of movie with ben kingsly & was also in the x-men movie i just saw!
hi bambam!
I hear you Fran! LOL
sounds like a job for www.imdb.com
Fran, I told you to get that kid a chocolate cow and be done with it!
anyway - i should work on some of the 92 words i still need :)
hi fran! i need another clue for that ca6,24, and while you're there anyone got the ca7,35?
go helen go!
if you wait a little bit helen, i'll race you at 7:30 e.s.t.
i'm up to 66 words, 102 left

hee hee! it's ok helen, just having fun with you!
helen, there were two Oscar winners in the new X-Men, Anna Paquin (Rogue, she was like 11 when she won) and Halle Berry for Monster's Ball
i thought anna paquin won for the piano?
heal
klaurel, she was talking about a star in 'The Lake House' with keanu reeves and sandra bullock, helen was an extra and talked to one of the stars during a break, i just checked imdb and don't recognize any names
she did, but she played Rogue in XMen
:)
Fran, yep, got that. :) But she thought that the person was in the xmen movie and won an oscar

thanks Fran....but my biggest headache isn't here at the moment....
Hllo. Stid! I'm down to 20 and getting frantic about re's. But could you please clue me for the second tu?
and that's why you're here, right?
hi hetty!
right Fran....Babblonia is my "happy place"
hi hetty!
lol daisy!
the second tu is like the fabric in skirts... only with one l
i, Fran. I have company and I've snuck off to my bedroom to get a few in before dinner and it's hard going!
hetty, won't you be missed?
hetty the dutch flower, lipless, with the french
sti8d, I mustr mnean the first tu, because I have the one you've clued
hetty, a fluffy pillow
horses kick up a tu** of grass....
after I cut my own hair, I only had a tu** of it left
or tu**ed cushions
oh hetty, we are a pair, aren't we! *giggle*
phonetically contained in tough titties!
You know I had that all the time! Since early this morning, talking about MisMuffet, and I forgot I had it already. Where's the fish?
hello again
hi firefly!
hi again...
saw your Icon Blocker at the Babble Store, i had a icon incident the same day you did! leslie and i had the same pixelated plate
how about the ac and ad6,24's?
i'm at 38 now, plugging along, but may resort to the list - starting to slow down
ri 6/21?
yes Fran, movieman and abe had an incident today with matching Sebastian icons
I went to the list a long time ago. Just don't have the patience today, I am afraid.
bambam, ac+fifth vowel+hawaiian neck adornment
ac6/24, ac + not me + flower garland in hawaii
hi again everyone !
k i'm back
hi all
ad6/24, stick to
wow, what timing!
amazing, you both got back at the same time!
thanks guys
hey nrk!!
hi nrkii!!! did you see my new addition to the store?
serious, feather? did you just get back this very minute too?
that is pretty weird!
same minute helen!
meant to be, lol
anyone have the ae 6s?
well, i got a few words from the chat, and was just typing i was back and when i hit enter, your message popped up
haven't been to store yet tonight -- didn't start grid till an hour ago, and oh my, this is a tough one!!!
now feather are you using the list yet?
oooh, gotta check out the store real quick
jen, they all go off of the ae5, past tense and more of
hi nrkii! you can do it....
oh, i don't have the ae 5 -- thought I did for some reason -- any clues on that?
it is tough nrk, went to the list with 83 words last night
fran, I didn't get the AD stick clue -- help for mentally not-quite-with-it-today among us?
i have 83 left now, should i go to the list?
ok, back again, and helen, i have 96 left, going for the list
okay, I'm going to list now -- have 60 left
yep, go get it
jen, breathy, alt spelling, sounds like an eagle's nest
ok, to the list we go then!
go helen go! LOL
nrk, when you stick something on you ad**** it, ad + this location
can't believe I missed that one -- we had it just last week, no? TY Fran!
ad + right h*** dude!
excellent thanks! (dude?)
jen, i have the unfortunate ability to remember useless things like babble words
what has lickety done to the list?
mine isn't lining up right like it used to!
try refreshing it helen
mine is lined up
i always use the printed ones
don't like switching back and forth
you should market your ablilties in nrkii's store, fran
when i move from the right to make it 'thinner' the clue boxes shift over the letters & numbers, it's never done that before!
i should, i'll think of a good word for it
oh, lickety did say there would be some problems when minimizing it
Firefly -- nice suggestion for the store -- the management has posted a reply!
helen, it's a little more sophisticated, it automatically enters words into the rigth spot in the list now
hi, all-- I can only see through the d's on the list...
well, it was much better before!
doesn't refresh...
i'll go see nrkii - thx
but that means your entering words twice, right? or am i missing something?
good evening folks. what's the theme today?
hmm, i've got the whole list, lined up right etc
Crustaceans!
i don't enter the words unless i'm trying to figure out which re4/4 i'm missing
that's like crabs and such?
yeppers LA
first di9,66?
yes helen, that's why i just use the printed list, i suppose it would help if you were working on a long group of word and were really stuck
feather - when you try to make it smaller by bringing in the right side, does it do anythign weird?
do you have the di8 cdn?
yup
di9/66-- the runs
the british way to spell the runs
chuck an O in as the 3rd last letter
like...
ok, if i minimize, it does get funky!
thanks everybody
i have firefox, and just flip back and forth between tabs, so they're both open, never thought of minimizing it
then it's not just me, well ok :/
lol - minimizing it was very good!
okay, still not having any luck with the ri 6/21!
nrkii i'm trying really hard to monkey that ri6,21 for you and for the life of me can't get it -- and i know what the first 4 letter must be
well i guess i'm really just losing the scroll function
i can see how this game drives you mental
stid, what poseidon carries minus the first T
thanks yet again Fran!
ahhhhh......
I can't believe I didn't try that -- I saw it 30 times
wow, great clue fran, tx
stid, why do we keep getting the stid/nancy confusion?
yw helen
Bambam, are you calling us mental??? ;-)
one word left, an O....
on7/28?
yes Fran I am ! are you taking that as a compliment or an insult?
HA! stid, i love your icon up close!
i guess it's a compliment since i'm in such good company!!
being normal is so drab
right you are Fran hahahah ;-)
stid's shrimp looks like an al5/10
this "on" word is intriguing.... all alone and 7 letters hmmmm...
brb phone
it was my last word, libarebel has the best clue.
wow, i have none of the ar 6/21s...any hints?
does the ca 7 relate to the ca 6?
one is more dry feather
feather ar 6/21 = ar + a ding in your car
no it doesn't nrk
ar 6/21 also, as fran says, more dry
i like your icon fran
ar 6/21, also a + made mad
last one is a + made upset (ri5/12)
thanks leslie!
thanks all!
help with ca 6 (cringing)?
hmm, you and nrk both went for monster lobsters leslie!
nrk, the person that checks you out at the supermarket without the S and i don't mean the cute guy in produce.
nrkii, the ca7 is c + alan ***a + period of time ... means crater of a volcano as fran pointed out!
i had my picture taken with this car, but don't have it on my computer. it's from a seafood take out place
thanks for ca 7!
er, i meant delivery, obviously
ca6 is the check-out chick with no S
fran, you clued what I asked for, but bambam clued what I meant to ask for! LOL
who's got the on7,28?
on7 is more pesky
(you can see what I mean about having no brain tonight)
bambam, more stubborn
did the lobster eat it?
never heard that word, thanx guys
that would be a good b-movie: "Lobsters ate my brains"
oh4,5?
a state, different last letter, bambam
okay, the cu 6 after branch davidians and before something that sounds like snuggle with?
oh4/5-- like the state but ends w/ 1st vowel
nrkii, like silverware, minus the y
state of confusion leslie?
cu 6/24?
argh, should have seen that!
perhaps
ty
just clued feather
yw
just saw tht
how many you got there feather? 63 to go here
go helen, go feather!!
39 here
haha, i just started, and out of habit just started putting s's on the end of my words until i realized there weren't any s's in the grid
go nrk!!!
23 here !
tee hee LA
73 to go, and having trouble with those cu clues
lol leslie!!
lol leslie
cu6/24, silverware, particularly knives minus the Y
featherbee the cu6's are squidlike, ******fish... and knives and forks losing the Y at the end...meaning a guy who makes knives and forks
ok, got the knives and forks one!!!! yay!
does one of them start with the cu 4/6? that's what i keep trying
cu 6 sounds like snuggle up with
if you're a farmer with cows, you run ca****.... change the first vowel
neither start with that feather
then past tense for the 7,40
ahhhhh, no wonder
good clue bambam
lol, that's why, i kept trying to work the D into the snuggle one
ok, with that, i need to go look for something for my husband, brb
sorry feather
it does sound like the snuggle word though!
be back in a bit, have to make lunch for kids
li6,21 anyone?
ir6,18?
like the german hosen BAMBAM (6/21)
dr 5/12 after dark and dr***y?
thanks nrkii
man it took me a long time to spell the hosen right
more not wet, nrkii?
drier
whoops!
or you can read bambam's clue
have that one, looking for earlier one in list
I am at work and cannot go to babanon or any other sites....can someone tell me total # words today?
maybe looking for FIRST DR 5???
168
kjs, 168
dr + to be ill, nrkii?
got it!
monkey typed the sucker
thanks ....I am far off. 44 words! EEK
but thanks LA -- you were 1/2 a second behind me
blast
ok, sorry if i offend any males here, but men can be so blind!
he's looking for our marriage certificate for work paperwork etc, can't find it...i go look, there it is, in the folder labeled "certificates"
sometimes we just can't see what we don't want to find featherbee hahahahahahah
you should have named it something more interesting like "beer coupons" or something, then he'd find it ;)
my wife often says, if she dies i would remarry someone younger in 6 months.... i said.... you think i would do this AGAIN!!!:>????
help with dr 6 please?
that's why men die before women.... because we WANT to!
lol bambam!
at your first two comments at least! ;)
dr6/24 is a jewish top-- spin the dr****
all tongue in cheek featherbee, i'm very lucky really....
thanks LIB
that's ok, i'm not mad!
yw, nrki :)
off to look for clues i missed
need another clue for this jewish top
and i don't have the ed5,12 either
feather, could I hire you to come to my house and create an organization system detailed enough to have a folder labeled "certificates"???
3 in german + 4th letter +tall letter
i guess one advantage of being a babbler is... you def. learn smtg new every day! thanks Lib
bambam, ed 5 is ed + **** of Mann, but we have no S today
lol, i'm weird about organization....have all these great folders and labels, yet also have (had, I worked on it over spring break) anyway, have a tub full of mishmash papers to sort...and i mean a BIG tub!
tks nrkii
trying to get back to clue, but just not working... have to take a major break. hope to be back later...
ty, nrkii!
(me too feather! the huge pile of things "to sort")
later!
a tub sounds more organized than my house -- I just have piles of paper
i would say teaching kindergarten you'd have to be VERY organised (and patient!)
feather, no matter how hard i try to organize, i always end up with one folder/file/drawer of "miscellaneous" stuff that is bigger than all of the organization i've done
darnit, where is that babble catheter when you need it???
bbs
you got that right bambam, and right now both are wearing thin! 5 days left.....
isn't it kind of late to still have school, feather?
we always start the wednesday after labor day in september, and go until the third week of june
doesn't that get a bit hot and sticky?
don't know if that's just my area, all of NY, or New England in general
can't think of a more valuable occupation personally.... must be very satisfying when all the hair-pulling is done
not yet this year! but usually the last few weeks are warm
it's truly amazing to see how far they come in a year...they're so grown up now! and then i have to start from scratch next year with a new group of babies who start out so dependent on me...
Can't get ca/6 and ca/7 no matter how many times and ways I try... help please?
brb, gotta find my social security card
ok, this time he figured it out!
helen, you're probably pulling way ahead of me here
ca 6/25 is the person who checks you out at a store without the "s"
ca 7/36 is part of a volcano
feather - i just got back from talking to my neighbor outside, lol - wanted me to water my lawn so she could put fertilizer on it - uh, ok, then 52 to go
64 to go
i don't have the il's or le's
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Dawn. Got the first one in the meantime; now off in search of a volcano...
uh-oh pulling closer
I'm missing one of the ai5/12s. I've got someone who helps and getting a bad smell out of a room.
25 to go...
someone who was sick
hey everyone, just wanted to let you know if fixed the wonky clue page - if you made the window really small.

sometimes I feel like I should look at the grid upside down so I can find the new perspective to find these words!!! (maybe shake a few tiles free too, so i can make the words I want to)
when a train goes off the tracks
feather, to go off the tracks
or to force off the tracks
ty!
I've got two left: re6/12 & re7/36--presumably they go together. Anyone have a clue for me?

i've got 13 and still haven't got the al pacino thing yet
i thought perhaps dodgy was a differnet type of spice!!
did you just call bambam a mental australian franmag?

i'm pretty sure she did
bambam, i don't know what it means in enable, but it's a hawaiian name, le + two letters that sound like 'which guy?' and the first vowel

leslie, you working on the 9? i had to google the british way of spelling it for the one
the other just adds a consonant to the 8
*grumble, grumble* dodgy brits... ;)
okay, need a nudge in right direction... there are two series of RE 4/5, 5/12, 6/21 in a row, I have one but not the other. The one I have is like when you make a mistake and you ask for a re**, then you put your clothes on again, then you've re**** it

i think i'm going to switch back, it's so ugly
ew, please do
brb, daughter wants down from her high chair
I think that horseshoe crabs are actually arachnids, not crustaceans. Or am I making that up?
ac6?
ac6-ac +vowel + hawaian garland
ah thanks eva
HI , ac6 ac plus not me but* plus what flower garland you get in Hawaii

i think all crabs are crustaceans - or are they maybe different phyla, or whatever - i can't even remember the rest

I think Eva is correct. Horse shoe crabs are different.
From what I vaguely remember, hosershoe "crabs" aren't really crabs-some way back when archaic split off from the insect branch. Does anyone know more about this?
hi everyone, my last one is re6,24 and I can't find it
huh - nope, but willing to learn :)
you guys are making my head hurt
i think they are related to spiders
Eva, I remember going to the marine research center in Mass. and I believe you're right.
saphyre, it's the root of the word that means you don't want to, re****ant
yes-spiders, tics, those sort of arachnidae thingees
first ar6?
hi 4/5 before the swrod handle please?
TO change last letter to a vowel
nvm got it
ir 5/12? can't seem to get it
Thanks Fran :) Fireworks!
leslie, ar+bump in a car panel
We used to encounted lots of horseshoe crabs in Fire Island, when I was a kid. They were fascinating. You could tell just by looking at them how ancient they were. They were harmless unless they ran into you by accident.
yay saphyre!!!
hoooray saphyre!
re6/24- at tax time you look for something to ded***, to save $. change the "D" to a "L"
yay saphyre!!!!
feather, think of a Ti word that means tantrum then take the T off

I had a 1950 Ford that was like that crab
Hi horeshoe crabs are related to scopians, ticks and land spides..they have their own classification "merostomata"
go firefly!!!
yay saph
wee, firefly, you're right with me and helen!
17 here
Hi, all! I'm exactly halfway but fading fast!
are you guys using the list? i am
ty again fran! hi chickie!
16
hi book
thank you chic! great word-merostomata. Wonder what the prefix "mero" means?
go feather! go helen!
hi bookwyrm
list????? is there a list?
hi book!
Hi Temple
smart a@@ helen!
Hi fran and firefly and leslieann. I've just finished writing narrative progress reports for nearly a hundred students. It's been a loooong time since I played!
LOL
now i'm really hungry, sushi and lobster bisque and crab cakes....aargh
whoa. that sounds like lots o' work
yeah fran, and me with my pizza...
i was wondering where you've been bookwyrm
It took a while, that's for sure. But I rewarded myself with lobster and babble, tonite. Well worth it.
that is hard i'm sure, i don't know if this grid will be a good break from that!!
I had rice 8(
franmag--you're making me extra hungry, especially since i discovered during the fall that i have an allergy to crustaceans and mollusks...now all of that is off limits.
really, lobster book? it's our theme, good job keeping in line with it :)
ok, go ahead and smack me with a fish, but i can't find the last li 4/5
*sigh* no more steamed mussels or new orleans bbq'd shrimp.
Oh, gramma, so much healthier at least. What a theme, Leslie. Give me sushi next, eh? Why not, bookgrrl?
er, that note was to bookwyrm, not bookgrrrl... didn't mean your allergies were a good thing
lol - me either feather - LOL
i'm allergic to seafood and must think of another item to get smacked with - only when necessary however
awww bookgrrl! that's too bad, that's a bad allergy too because it just builds up in your body!!
ping--thankfully, i can still eat fish...
book, my allergy appeared last summer
feather-don't have any lists, but do you have the one that means place? You do something in li__ of someone else?
li4/5 He li** to me! He said he'd be home early
eva, that was the one!
that's not the one
great!
bookgrll, do you know the most common food allergy in italy is tomotoes? Now there's a handicap!
il 5/12?
li4/5--- instead of li + 2 mor vowels
didn't know that bookwrymish...that's quite sad.
never mind
tx gramma, got it
but then, tomatoes aren't native to italy...perhaps that explains part of it.
Eva, mero means partial or segmented.
leslie, add a consonant to the il4/4
il4/5 same as your 4 w/the 2nd consonant at the end
hrm, thanks, what a weird letter to put there
thanks lb! So horseshoe crabs are segmented stomach creatures?
10 left
At least it isn't chianti, bookgrrl! Actually, the most commonly eaten food in a country is the most common allergy--has to do with exposure, I guess.
and tomatoes are from the nightshade family, maybe some people are just more sensitive
What a weird conversation. Missed you all!
and they're all Rs
go feather!!
hullo babblers!
me too - 10
hi anders!
Hi, anders, cool icon!

Bye, Leslie. Have a good run!
LeslieAnn, t was my last word and it took me about an hour. So puleez, tell me it was difficult.
BRB
He popularized "mobiles" in the 60s (50s??). For ca7/36, take his last name, add the first vowel
gramma, it sucked. i've been crying about it, so i'm going to go take a prozac and have a run. hopefully i'll get over it enough to come back, but no promises
did you say that ca 6/24 is not related to the ca 7?
haida
yes ping, they are unrelated
ooops
I didn't say, ping, but yes, they are not related
not in puzzle...

ugh - now my lsit is out of order - don't function well under the gun
ha7 is a stupidhead word!!
the ha7/36 adds a comparative suffix to ha4/6 making it sound more ha4/6y
type the words in the box...invaluable in times like these
finally got them - thanks!
it is peri, the ha4/6 probably has some kind of archaic adjective meaning in enable
the few extra seconds you take to do that helps save frustration of not knowing which you're missing...and i mean use that top box, it automatically puts them in the right spot!
never mind - list is fine it's me, also missing an ri
lol
ri6/21 helen?

thanks, nrkii. How about the il 5?
i need one de4,5 (got the atkin's and the anagram, and the card delivery) and one di4,5 (have the terrible one)

il 5 is il 4 + consonant == having to do with intestines
mich, il + 2 vowels?
couldn't "see" the const. before, thanks
did anyone else finish while i was gone?
Stid, I'm having the most amazing chocolate right now, and I want you to consider adding it to your supply of emergency babble rations... I bought it at Target of all places, and it's called Choxie "Hot chocolate bar" which is described as: deep dark truffled chocolate with chipotle chili heat ... it is incredible!
i've heard that choxie stuff was good. we don't have a Target here!!! :-(
i'm missing the last li4,5
oh, nrkii, that sounds SOOOO GOOOOOD!! may I have a nibble?
bambam, means in place of... in "li**" of
bambam, homophone of an instrument or bird
bam, do you have ch-ching in italian?
i want me a babble slave!
ohh, 4/5...sorry bambam wrong word
* breaks off a square of hot chocolate for mich *
don't we all helen!
instead you are a slave to babble
helen, yes I believe the babble slave is bound to be our most popular product
me too, of course
nrk, does it really have heat?
not the slave, the chocolate
fran - i keep forgetting you live on an island - i thought target had taken over everywhere, lol
it has a little bit of pepper, yes, and that makes the chocolate more intense
Great, firefly.Ii'm yourslave.H4len
we have a lot of other corporate giants, just not Target!
really - now see, that sounds so weird to me, i don't think i would have the nerve to try it!
whether we can get you a slave with heat, possible, but keep in mind the slave will still be a robot, no matter how hot
lol nrk!
LOL nrk
going back to store
it does sound weird, I know, but I tried the chocolate/pepper combo somewhere else (a big chocolate store in NY I think, where they offer hot chocolate straight or with chili pepper) and it is wonderful... also a place in NY sells gelato that is chocolate with pepper and it's the best gelato I've ever had!
there's a chocolate co. out of Ashland, OR that has fab. diverse flavors -- one of them is chipotle and "nibs" which are crunchy partially processed cacao beans. Delish!
Also black pepper on strawberries makes them taste delicious
ooh, that sounds good
hetty, my dad says that too
okay, I think I'm ready to call it a night, dear friends. Until the flip or manana, whichever grabs me first!
anyone see the movie Chocolat with Juliette Binoche?
yes, i did
not the most memorable movie, but she used pepper in her chocolate I remember that
night mich!
I have tried that and it is goood!
bye, mich
ok, if yer tlking bout chocolae i got to put my word in here, we have a hot cocoa made with chile pepper and it is the best

i need the di4,5 which isn't the tragicly terrible one
I add a tablespoon or 2 to my chili; and I add chopped green chili peppers (the small 4 oz. can) to my fudge. Both are SUBLIME!! :P
DI + short name for overhead train system (in chicago?)

I don't know what mole is, but we've been adding these ingredients to our cooking for years
hahaah nrkii my wife would have got that straight away

there's where you shop for turkey mole; switch the 2 letters around
:) bambam
stephie, thanks, i am jewish so maybe i can get it now
Ping, it's as if heidi wore a dirndle
Mole Poblano is a mexican dish made with sesame, almond chocolate, several kinds of dried chiles, you make the sauce and serve it with chicken or turkey
thanks!
Mole (moh-leh), of which there are several varieties, is an Oaxacan tradition. Most moles are used as sauces poured over chicken or turkey or used to flavor foods such as tamales. The black mole is what Oaxaca is most famous for, and one of its many ingredients is chocolate. You can find black and red mole in the market. Establishments that sell fresh chocolate often grind and mix the ingredients for more and sell it as a paste. These kinds of mole keep very well.
Hi everyone, I have 2 words to find and they are stumping me. Does anyone have a clue for re7 and re8? Thanks

Ahh! Thanks! :D

Thank you all for your great clues. No list today for me. You all are my list. Good night, my fellow babblers.
good night annie!

Oh! got it!
*cue creepy music*
Darn! I am having one of my "Can't find the right box to add words in" nights!
three more words!!
Nef, there is something for that at the Babble Store
go stephie!
go stephie go!
go go go stephie
*pushes Stephie up the hill*
i find myself type chat in the word box sometimes
bye Stid is very rarely in the grid
yeah, the grid never takes my comments
and never in the dictionary!
lol bash!
what a cute kitty, bash!
re 6/21 after re7/36??
thanks - she's my angel
Steph, to count or depend on someone, past tense
stephie, leaned on
never mind, i figured it out
depended stephie
If I'm trying to enter words in a hurry, I find they won't work in the right biox; but once they are entered in the wrong box, they will be accepted in the add box
huzzah, take that re's
go leslie!!
anyone else find that now that they babble, they end up constantly typing letters in the wrong order? my brain is thinking W-O-R-D but I look at the reject message and find out I typed R-O-D-W, two or three times in a row!
(Is that a good enough excuse? did it work?)
i don't think i can finish this one ... had to watch hockey. can you help me out with the ae 6/18?
bird nest + consonant, anders
anders, lighter, more floatie
how many left anders?
my figners are always doing taht nrkii!
(floatie? what's floatie?)
maybe the word dyslexic will be in the grid someday!
for example, that :)
don't lie anders, we know you've been alphabetising your spice rack....
nef, it made sense to me!! ;-)
By the way, I am back. Took a break to play Boggle.
my last one is li4/5 (either the first or second)?
anders does love spices, it's true
stid, please don't say that's lobster ice cream in your icon!!
it's strange to me stid, because it happens way more in the add word box, and it happens even when I concentrate
hi Minveryork!
Min, you took a break from Babble to play Boggle? call the paramedics
stephie, a deck on the Love Boat?
no no -- I changed early for tomorrow because I changed late for togay!
Been to the store. Ads are brilliant. I've seen the light, now I'm a consumer.
hi minver!
just finished!!
or today...
YAY Stephie1
yummy....ice cream stid!
congrats stephie!!
yay stephie!!!!
there are 168 words, right?
yes, yes thanks guys, no no i resent that you think i was alphabetizing my spice rack. it was my medicine cabinet. antibiotics, aspirin
Hi stidmama!I was on before just as you were saying you were taking a brief break.I took a break as well.
HUZZAH STEPHIE!!!!!
Hi Min
help? the last re6/18?
anders, you left out alka seltzer
yay stephie!
Gelati sono tutti deliciosi (hoping no one who really knows italian is online...)
the person who depends, one letter off the re 6/21, jane
harp, one who depends on someone
re6/18--one who depends?
harpjane, if you re* on me.you're a re****
gma, nrkii!
maybe his is bromo seltzer
okay, I just made my font size bigger -- I should be able to see what folks are typing now!
and antacid ...
Congratulations Stephie on your fireworks! Hooray!
ahhhhh thank you! 4 to go
i didn't get fireworks! this is the first time i have finished. i'm a bit disappointed!
& leslie!
there should have been 2 stars
go harp!!
~*~*~*~*~FIREWORKS FOR STEPHIE*~*~*~*~*
wait a bit, stephie, sometimes takes a while ...
WHOOOSH! BANG!! SPARKLE!! POP!! ooooohhhhhh (FIREWORKS FOR STEPHIE)
Yey for Stephie {{{{ F I R E WO R K S }}}}
what does gma mean?
fireworks for stephie!!!!!!*******
So now I'm back to my listless list. Very hard without a list!I thought I'd give my ink cartridge a break and not print out a list today. Now my brain needs break!
Stephie! Huzzah! ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
hetty, glad you liked the store -- please shop often ... and feel free to contribute a product!
thanks y'all!!
nice goin', steph!
It's what my grandkids call me for short
ri6/21?
Min, today is a tough day to go without a list.
like what poseidon holds harp, only without the T
a little pitchfork minus t
I'd like a dozen stids availableon demand, please
So does crossing over to Boggle mean I betrayed you all? Is Boggle Babble's biggest competition? I didn't do too well in Boggle either if that makes you feel better
I agree -- go listless another time. This one is confusing enough WITH a list!
ri - another word for mouse, but change the o to the third vowel
thanks, lib
speaking of, did anyone see hurshy today? I came in late and didn't stay around long...
minver, i copy and paste the list to a Word document and type in the words as I get them. that might work
that ri word made me so mad, because I was looking at it and thinking, wouldn't it be great if ri 6 were a word, too bad there's no T
she was on, but not when I was ... she used the list!
FOLRMOA nrikk!
I saw that in the archive of today's chat
whoa. minver, you must use the list
urg. my figners have been babblified
i'm going to bed now. good luck y'all!
exactly, if hurshy used the list, min, yer done fer
good night Stephie!
stid, falling over laughing rolling my *** off??
night stephie!!!
something like that LA!
though... hurshy does use the list from time to time if she's in a hurry, not sure if that was the case today
StephieC, I also did not get fireworks the first time I finished and I was disappointed as well. But I had my fellow Babblers to cheer me on which was wonderful!
Talking of Boggle :anyone tried bookworm? It's ayahoo game, and lots of fun. I use the free download, and play when frustrated with babble
okay, panicking, need ra 6/21 and ra 6/18, please
It is actually what we did all the time until just a few weeks ago Minvery...
anders, you do know you have an hour and 10 minutes left, right?
i've played it hetty.
is it because i'm not a paying player?
ra 6/21: the Oakland RA****s (american football)
no stepie, i got fireworks before i paid
ra6/21 past of ra4/4
take your ra 4/4 working on the ra** road and add two different endings
another ra 6/21 is past tense of what train runs on....
ra6/18 - one who ra4/4
now i'm really going!
thanks, guys, you give such good clues
go Stephie go! LOL
bye stephie
BTW, anders, I love the mask. Bear?
56 to go, typing like mad!
Hetty, please DO NOT introduce to another game!I'm already addicted to 4 games!I think I'll get a divorce if I start plying another game!Or I will go senile early with all of these games I play! Now I'm curious. What is this Yahoo game you play? Is it also a word game?
LOL minver
You can do it anders!!
anders... again, you know there's more than an hour left, right?
oh, I enjoy bookworm, hetty! also text twist...
hey daisy, how are you doing?
finished the grid awhile ago
leslie, leslie, this is a funny grid. no plurals ...
and still here by myself:)
that's true, but there are past tenses, and "more so" 's
I am in IM under "invisible..."
oic....maybe I should do that;)
good thing you've got that banana split to keep you company, daisy
LeslieAnn, that is a good idea to copy and paste the list to a word document. I never thought of that. It would save time w/writing. type faster than I write.
stid, thanks, it's a haida piece. i have a collection of native and inuit art. love it
yeah, i use brandyjack's list, you have to go through a few extra steps to get lickety's into the doc right
I think haida art is lovely -- the local people to me "squaxin" also have some lovely designs.
what else do you need anders?
Yeah, I copy it and then paste it into word and then print it out. I could just print it online, but I don't.
So now going listless, it;s hard for me to ask for clues
i need the z 5
I don't have the tiles since I'm not pro yet. I have to just rely on the clues in the chat log. It is very hard!
add a consonant to the zo4/9 anders
i need both the z's ...
the z4 only has vowels in it, freckle
3 vowels
got em =) ty
min, please, for your own sanity, use the list, I'm begging you ...
:)
thanks fran!
zo4/9 is zo+two vowels, they are larvae of crabs and other crustaceans
yw anders!
de 6/8 combo?
hi peoples!!!! wat up
de 6/which?
leslie go off the tracks and past tense
* runs to Babble Store to pick up certain spot remover product *
ohhh thanks fran
Fran, you are so much better at this than I am!
hi montana
yw LA!
Can anyone give a clue for le5?
nrk!! just got it! lol
notepad or, for mac, simpletext work well for saving the clues...
le + hawaiian dance where you move your hips - L
le + people are part of the ***** race, but drop the M and N

hi montana
to employ again, anders
i'm stuck on IR 6/18
hi montana
I think I will just go listless for today. I will not finish today anyway, so why waste the ink? I just tried all the zo combos with vowels and I did not get anything
re + newswoman ***** Sawyer, but drop the N
also, re + "day" in spanish + 2nd vowel
ir + not fake, ping!
Thanks, nrkii, for the great clue. I got it.
ping, ping, i need that one too!
minver, the vowels go backwards in the alphabet
Min, I usually just open the lickety list in a very narrow browser to the left of my screen, and compare between them -- I don't print or check but just use it to see where missing words fit
thanks, leslie
could you please give me some clues plz im hopeless
excellent clue nrkii, thx got it!
montana, did you just start?
got to go~!!!
yes
min - if you need to print the list, why don;t you save it to excel and have several columns?
nrkiii
thanks leslie!
fran, that spot remover we are marketing could turn into something huge
Montana, give us some letters that you need help with. How many words do you have so far?
yes nrk, i see it would be needed at least daily
can you clue me one of the ai 5/12's, please? i have the helper and the hung out to smell better.
I need one more O word from the lower left one
Anybody able to help me with that?
was sick, anders
anders, was under the weather
two oh4's, nef
doh!!
there is also an si 5/12 that means "one who" helps
zo + 2nd vowel + 1st vowel
oh 4/6, like worked in garden HO word, but anagram
that's a salmon slap for me
oh 4/5, like mid west state, but diff last vowel
I meant AI 5/12, sorry all.
thanks Leslie and Wogoe
mmm, salmon
first zo word plus l
I do not have Excel unfortunately. Do not even know how to use it actually. I'm going to remain listless, so I can at least say I tried to do it listless! I'll have the list tomorrow and go back to my old cheating ways!
here we go with the food talk again!
i'm waiting for my husband to come home with chinese food tonight
anders started it
Min, how many words left to go?
mmmm chocolate....
stid how did you get from fish and chinese food to chocolate?
stid's icon is making me hungry again!
we had burritos for dinner. Very satisfying.
I don't know. I don't know how many are in the grid.
actually i wanted to know that too LA!
168, minver
168 in grid
Wogoe, thanks for the o clue! I wasn't getting it b-4!
he7?
oh no! not you too nrk!! i love dessert!!
he 7: if you are really rushed and have to get stuff done for other people, you are har****. this is spelled the same.
I went from giant lobster to very large icecream sundae....
huh. thanks stid
he 7: could also be what we are when the word is a fish...
I meant thank you for the zo clue! My z sticks&does not always type in. I only have 78 words so far tonite
i think i'm going to have issues finishing the grid without multiple snack breaks tomorrow...
did it work LeslieAnn?
how about dr 5/12, not the boring one?
yes, thanks.
washer and dr***, anders
less wet anders
also d + ra 4/4

ha 4/6, i've got you beat, nrkii :)
i'm down to 3 REs now, 2 are 4s and the other one is a six
ooh, Leslie Ann sneaks in with the early clues!

Congratulations Ping on your fireworks! Now you can relax & watch everybody else sweat it out til the end
ir + not fake
oh man, the stress, the stress, my typing skills are amazing as i try to finish!
i know fran, i need the 5/12
ir + lemon***

Hello kierlex! How are you? Welcome to today's grid!
the small version of anders icon looks like the underside of a ladybug!
LOL Fran!
thanks fran! a decree of the sultan is what that word means, use it all the time in conversation.
of course anders, we all do!! lol
did you see how i got in trouble for my orca whale tale last night? i had to change it!

i'm doing well, thanks minveryork. i have 89 words left. i dont think i will ever finish a grid!
no anders, i didn't see that conversation, what happened?
DOH!!! Thanks! :D
finish the grid first then tell us.
Hey, I just checked and I've got 84 words in and 84 to go! :D
go nef go!!!
nice icon kierlex!
okay, bambam said that an orca tail represented a young girl's thong sticking out of her pants. i have never heard this before, plus i have two daughters in their 20's. had to change it.
Don't feel bad kierlex, I have 91 words left to go. :=(
what? i've never heard that before, and i am a girl in my 20s
ohh, good reason to change!
that is stupid, but I can see why you would want to change...
must be an aussie thing
anders, tell me what you need clued, i feel responsible for telling you this was a fun grid....
maybe it's aussie, i think bambam is aussie.
could just be a bambam thing...
lol stid!!
people see what they want, anders. I enjoyed your icon since I love whales and would never of thought anything like bam suggested.
No, my dtr knew that term too (I was here last night and I asked her about it today)
hi shirin!
hi fran!
i always saw a glass of wine in the small icon!!
absolutely unable to get the he's .... need he 5/14, 6/24 and 7/36 ...
maybe its a freudian thing?
anyway, i actually like my haida icon!
anders best clue today for he5/14, in football when hitting the ball with your noggin is a he****, take out the A
he 5/14: is the thing soccer players d obetween head and ball
anders, the he7 sounds like when you are rushed, you are h*****, just change the u to an e
I'm sorry people I wasn't trying to be rude, it's just a funny colloquialism (and I thought it was a glass of red too until I looked at the enlarged version) ... apologies to anyone who was offended
i like it too, all the detail comes out of the small version
he 6/24 - past tense of he 4/5, the he** to the throne
he 6/24: when one is written into a will one becomes an he** (he 4/5) past tense that
no no bam, not offended at all, i just don't want to be associated with that at all!
can i have help with the 9
i'm just speaking for myself when i say not easily offended, but i think most aren't, bambam
not offended, bambam, just sort of funny how age and country define our vocabularies!
hi Bambam, my little brother just came from Austraila and says its great! He said he would move there in a second
the 9's are nasty, ojad... both di's that have to do with intestinal distress
ojad, they both have to do with intestinal problems which is the d8, one d9 is an alternative spelling the other is a adverb
fabulous clues, thanks all!
I was here, I'm an older woman and I wasn't offended by any of the convo last night
it is great, and i'm living up in Singapore at the moment -- boo hoo .... but work dictates where we live most of the time eh
not offended bambam, amused maybe! ;-)
going home next year or 2008 for the kids to go to high school
were you born and raised there?
thank you alot franmag and leslieann =)
born and raised in Oz, lived in SE Asia last 7 yrs of school.... back home for 7 yrs, then NY for a year, Singapore 5, Tokyo 2, Singapore 3 (and counting) now......

your icons are making me hungry!!!!!
I've been IMing...:)
I often get mistaken for Hugh ... just shorter, balder, fatter, and uglier
how about the doctor from NipTuck, he is an aussie too and my dream beau!
your icon is making me hungry shirin! love squid and all its' relatives!!
LMAO! Bambam!

you're in the same time zone as Guam where my family is, it's the only time zone i can keep track of!!!
lol shirin!!
it is so hot here! It was 106 degrees today and you could feel it
Fran....I have a utility you might like....Qlock.
yikes, it doesn't even get that hot in Guam!!
popsicles, Leslie-all different flavors and full of sugar and artifical color
i'll search for it daisy! thanks!
i'm assuming it's a world time clock?
if you want the pro version, I'll give you my reg code.
Yeah, I am ready to relocate. Hey maybe to Austrailia. Although I hear they dont just let anyone in.

I'm thinking of the scenery in Tin Cup... Salome, West Texas ?? smtg like that?
anders, l+anagram of that woman pronoun
that's the le4/5

hi cat9!! did you play today's grid?
Hi again everyone
or ours anders!!
I am going to look up Oz on the net-see what's happening there. Be back soon!
Hello all...could I get a clue for the 2nd Di9? Ive got the one about the irritable bowel problem....
hi saphyre!
maybe i should go organize my pots and pans in case i date the neat freak (no chance!)
Hi Fran!! Yes, just finshed within the last half hour :)
oh congrats, cat9x
its an adjective of the same, thesnark
Thanks Leslie!
thesnark, it also comes off of that di8 that is the intestinal trouble
yay cat!!
thesnark, the other is very similar, same first six letters, then fourth vowel + second vowel + first vowel
lol anders!
thanks Fran!
nice icon cat! i like how all your icons still relate to cat, must be hard to find some themes
Hi Leslie - I do have that spelling, and the other - but is the 2nd 9Di another variation?
I';m stuck on the re 6/18 after depended, could I get a hint plz?
Thanks Fran :) Not really hard to find, it's just that I am particlular, so I keep looking till I find just the right one. I know the day will come when I won't be able to incorporate a cat in the theme.
yes, my clue was to change one di9 (that ends with an L) into the other di9
add a const to the end of the first one thesnark
mymuse, it's the person doing the depending
Aha! thanks Saphyre - got it!
thanx Fran
yw mymuse!
