Hi Leslie and ballet
oh man. only 77 words!
poor minver... i hate being that close and not finishing!
leslie has a fast loading chat log!
77! really?
and ping
it's a little tiny grid!
I had 5 more words to go!Thank you all for the clues.
hey mymuse
flipt--nice & small--probably diabolical...
hi all
the little ones are usually harder for me
ow many words today
77 words
I thank Darci the most. She was most patient & gave me the most clues!Time for me to go to bed now!BYE!
77 is not a lot
ooh very little
you're welcome min - i've learned that i must start asking for help way before the grid closes :)
night minver! see ya next time
good night minver
must be short for Father's Day
bye min :)
hey all! 77 words?? Oh the pain!
hullo knut
jumping into the grid before bed!
helenkeller I started asking for help in the afternoon
lol min - i didn't know that!
hi all... wow, this is a small one!
hi kier!
Hi Kier
That's why I got as far as I got. I guess I should have stared 20 minutes earlier.Goodnight! See ya manana!
how is everyone this fine evening?
Small one. Challenge! it's there if you need it.
good-o, kier and you?
thanks lickety!
doing fine, thanks
hi all...ooo....77, small grids are the enemy (for me)
hi kristin
hi kristin!
hi kierlex and mymuse!
thanks, lickety
feeh
oooops
i agree, kristin
hiya ping!
yo every1
ugh, i dislike ones with this many vowels. words that start with vowels - especially more than one - are the enemy :)
hi!
hello freckle
hey freckle!
hi Freckle
dedicate, vicuna, fauna
phantom words helen?
yep :)
i feel better now that i've put them SOMEWHERE!! :)
ok, no 8s so i'm calling out 6s. :) ca 6/27
oh, one more - decide
lol leslie!
ca 6 carries the golf clubs
i have to feel like i'm getting *somewhere* with this grid :)
he 6
vo 6
oh, look at ch go
vo 6/33
vo6/33 means said aloud
vo 6 - to air one's opinions - past tense
he 6 lifted up
ed 6/30
aww, even though he isn't worth points, dad is in the grid on father's day
ooh, good one mich, and hello
awww
i can't believe I missed the flip again!
hi leslie ann! & everyone else
only 77 words? man oh man...
hi stid
hiya stid :)
geez, stid, what's your excuse this time? ;)
hi mich
hi stid!
hi stid
hi mich
boy I wanted to make educate out of that
hi kristinc!
hi helen! did I hear you were an extra in that two years movie?
oh pish posh don't be so modest helen. she's the star, she steals keanu reeves away from sandra bullock
that's right mich :) - you want my autograph - lol
woah...movie star amongst us?
LOL leslie -LOL - yeah i'm on screen for all of 3 or 4 long seconds - ( i should stand taller & sit straighter!)
he he! Keanu (almost in the puzzle) is looking a little worse for wear... how's he look in real life?
oooooooh i adore keanu! who was in a movie with him?
him, i did not see (they all called him kr) but i did get to stand about 5 feet away from sandy for 3 HOURS!!!
helen was an extra in the lake house movie
yep, those of us in the biz refer to them as sandy & kr
she seems like a down to earth person
oooh i can't wait to see that. i have a THING for keanu. I call my husband 'not keanu' for jokes... he thinks it's funny
wait - i gotta deflate some of that hot air outta my head so i can see the screen :)
that's funny kier
LOL helen!
that is kinda funny kier
oh, Leslie, I just looked at your icon -- very cute!
that sounds fun, helen, have you done that kind of thing before (extra in movie)
in the biz, you would call him nk for short
thanks mich
mich - i said yesterday that between takes, she stood all by herself, looking kinda sad & down, & i felt badly for her - until i remembered how much she was being paid !
hi stid
hmm, that is too bad. she just seems so normal compared to some of the movie star bimbos
keanu is another phantom
hi Jill!
ante
anta
oh no!
sorry all....
tsk tsk
I agree, but maybe feeling out of place is part of what makes her normal --- OH STID! so unlike you!
kier - if you like kr - then you're gonna love this movie (it's a love story - it made me cry - twice!!) this was my first, but after that, they also shot the break-up here & i was an extra in that too, but haven't seen that one yet
your point being, those are words at the beginning of the dictionary, stid?
the break up? ACK! DON'T TELL ME WHAT HAPPENS! =) I hate to read spoilers...
my point being, I am a DOOFUS!
or do you mean 'the break up' as in another movie? sorry, i panicked =)
Hmmm...dufehs. Nope, won't allow that one. :)
no mich - none of us extras were allowed to talk to her, so while we could pass the time talking among ourselves, she just had to stay near her 'spot' all by herself - actually, she looked kinda miserable, that's why i felt badly for her (at first)
nor "dufe"
i know, bash, it took everything else stid typed ;)
she could have made the rule that no one could talk to her, though, helen
LOL kier - yes - The Break-Up is a totally different movie - oh - i wouldn't tell you what happens cause that is the beauty of movies (the trip they take you on) & i totally respect that!
helen, have you seen the HBO series Extras? You'd get a kick out of it! lots of "can't mix" issues
would be so weird to be a movie star and have people told they weren't allowed to speak to you =)
okay...bring out the 7's all you people that find big words! knut...ch...LA...others?
no leslie - all the movies are like that - they have to 'protect' the stars - that's what i heard from the 'professional' extras
sometimes i try to get my kids to leave me alone for 19 seconds and not allowed to talk to me but that never lasts!
i have exactly.... wait, let me check... yup, uh huh, 0 sevens
lol kier
mich - no i don't get hbo, i mooch off my neighbors for sopranos & big love ( don't want to push it, lol)
thanks for the complement, kristinc, but I have no 7s yet
LA...well get crackin' :)
the fine line between a speaking role, even one line, and being just background..... what trailer you get to eat in, etc. etc. not just the money and having your Equity Card, lol
An7/36
you too ch1212! :)
an7/36: helps with sour stomach and heartburn
LeslieAnn, for a change, we seem to be at a tie! LOL
oh look at paddy, swooping in the the 7s!
well, look at paddytt go!
ROFL kier!!!
and knutmeg!
helen, if it comes out on dvd you should rent it -- it was on a while ago -- our library systems is GREAT for checking out dvds
thanks knutmeg!
ok mich - thx! i'll check it out!
ah....there we go! hiya knut!
hello all. :-) I wasn't going to do this one, but how can I resist 77 words?
exactly :)
already at 30 words!
mich - right about that stuff, except the catering - everyone ate the same stuff (it was Great!!! food) the director & crew ate with us (as our 'holding areas' were great big rooms) but the stars must have had their assistants bring them food, cause i never saw any of them
don't worry, you'll start slowing any second now :)
yep...usually don't do Sundays, too busy...but 77!, yippee!
ov7/48: sounds like a type of murder
any hot plans for father's day for those who celebrate it?
cu6/30 hints plz!!!!
although - on the break-up, vince vaughn did walk past me & ask me if i was ok for water (a hot day) :)
kristinc, I am the same way! I figure whatever I get tonight is what I get on the grid :)
freckle, sounds like snuggling, change the L to a vowel
Vince Vaughn! Now he's a cutie, though getting a little puffy around the eyes....
cu6/30 is like the person who carries golf clubs, but with a diff vowel
oooh vince vaughn is a hottie, too. and tall...
a type of murder? hmmm
actually, the gold club guy is in there, too1
my sentiments exactly LA
yes - tall (but i would rather have seen keanu :( )
I don't get the ov 7 clue, knutmeg... more help?
yes. i would probably faint if i saw keanu =)
you have good taste, kier >^^<
thanks knutmeg!
LOL kier!
ov + vowel + common ending for words which describe types of murders. homicide, patricide, matricide, etc
actually i kind of think my hubby looks like keanu. and he is a cop so he has the Speed Keanu buzz cut. Just not his bank account =)
ohhhh
thanks knutmeg!
i was trying to think of adjectives that started with ov that could precede murder. ovarian murder? over murder? oven murder?
zzthat like killing eggs???????????
na7/44: weird as all get out, and actually monkey typeable... what a horse says (spelled weird) + an empty space
strange word...
it is!!! the def. said esp. insect eggs.
lol kier
wow, knut is a super-smartie
oven murder! ROFLMAO
ahh thanks knutmeg, i would never have gotten that
LOL mich!!!
i think i will whip up a bunch of ovicide aka scrambled eggs tomorrow for breakfast
thats the way my mom cooks, its called oven murder
kier!!!
knutmeg, thanks for all the great words!
lol wyrd
and the ca7/44 is easy to figure out when you see where it lands on lickety's list. it precedes the golf club carrier, start the same way and add some frozen water.
truly, knut, you are appreciated!!!!
cu6/30 hints plz plz pllz
and you're welcome all. :-) Nice to be able to help out when I can.
yes knut - thank you very much :)
nvr mind got it
so is that the plural of the carriers ie one die, two di**?
could someone expand on the 'empty space' in the na 7 clue??
hmm...open space...
thanks knutmeg, finally figured that na one out!
freckle, same as ca 6/27 except different vowel
cu6/30: a character on the TV show House, or what a cow chews + an ending that sounds like eee
de6/27 hints plz though
kristin, get out of my brain, please
like outer space empty
leslie, what a check is sometimes....
a period of 10 yrs
leslie - null & ****
or you cancel checks
like if you have to go to the bathroom, you v*** your bladder
oh ok got it now. wow, i'm SO smart i've got all the 7s
*tip toes out of LA's brain
kier: ew

you're welcome JM
Cat - how are things down in SJ? Was it hot enough today?
Very hot today JM, had to break out my 2nd AC for the bedroom.
hi everyone! does anyone have the ke5/24?
yeah, it seems to just be cooling off now
Cat, how hot was it? I'm going there in July for a wedding. Oh well, it will be cooler than where I am! :)
hi fran! ke + zip codes
I am not sure what the temp was, but usually this time of year, we hit upper 80.s to low ninetys, I'd say mid to upper eightys today
Thanks, Cat. We were 102.
thanks mrp! *searching feverishly*
where are you queen?
where are you Queen? Yikes, thats way too hot for me!
Southern CA. About 60 miles inland from LA.
It's too hot for me too! :)
My Sister=in=law is from Indio, said it was horribly hot there! Southern Cali gets very hot.
Indio was surely hotter than we were. I don't envy your sister in law!
ke5 means fibre from a plant in India... mans name + 1st vowel + 4 tile
I don't envy you queen - 102 is way too hot
I agree JM, way hot!
Off to bed all, take care!!
Right now, at 3:44 am, it is 69. I wish it would at least cool off at night. :(
bye cat!
Night Cat!
bye cat - let's hope tomorrow is cooler
queen - at least it does get cooler at night here
thanks mrp! looked up the def, i'm done!!!
Are you Bay Area too, JMann?
would the zip code clue have worked if i was australian?
yeah, half way between SF and San Jose, so it's a mix of both climates
I used to live in SJ. My sister just moved from Fremont.
why'd you move down south?
doesn't look like anyone needs clues. going to bed now, goodnight all! night mrp!
Actually, I was born here. But moved from SJ when I married a sailor. Then came back here to care for his Grandma when he retired.
Night, Fran. Thanks for the clues!
nite fran!!
nite fran
hi all
Hi Beast.
queen - is 102 common down there?
Usually later in the summer. Our normal high for this time of year is 93.
have there been any clues for the ci workds
see, now up to Wednesday, it was cold - but then it changed DRASTICALLY (I know, it's relative) - but Friday was really bad
I think it
I think it's worse up there because you aren't prepared for it. Plus it can be more humid.
Beast, CI5/20 refering to a city. Like your ci*** duty or ci*** pride.
that is true - we're more used to moderate temps - and the closer to the coast you are the more fog you get
thanks
CI5/18, makes me think of non-uniform clothes. Usually pluralized.
the other ci is non uniform clothing
thanks everyone
Thanks, Mr. P, I wasn't sure if that was what it really was or not! :)
You're welcome, Beast.
wot does $14.95 work out in sterling?
Well, shoot. I've got everything but the N words. I've monkey typed until I'm practically blind. Any hints? Take pity on a poor ol' woman?? :)
queen i havent got to them yet, will have a look
Good lord, only 77 words - is it tough then?
I haven't gotten to them yet, but I'm looking right now
not too bad at all
good morning mattygroves
na 5 is a diff. spelling for the military at sea, na 7 has same first three letters and then vo 4
Morning Jean - just looking for an appropriate Father's day icon...
Thanks, Inge. I just monkey typed the 5 letter. I appreciate your help!
thanks inge
And, thanks to Inge, that's it for me! Woo hoo!
no problem, just finished myself, and am hogging the fireworks
only 6 words to go
thanks inge for the clues
Fireworks for Inge!
And CONGRATS queen about the fireworks!
Queenruejean gets *~*~*~FIREWORKS!~*~*~*
Bravo Queenruejean
good job Inge on your fireworks as well!
Thanks everyone! I hadn't played for ages. I'm glad to finish!
congrats to you both
inge gets *~*~*~FIREWORKS!~*~*~*
congratulations for all those who had fireworks
Queenruejean, we expereinced the FOG in San Diego last week for the bromeliad conference. They say it isnt rain, I say it dripped into the pools, those were rain drops
OK - Icon changed to Father's Day. Sarah (my daughter) did the card thing, so all is well with the world.
Inge, I'm with you. If it drips, it's rain. We had some the other day they called drizzle. Sure made a lot of noise for drizzle. :)
any clues for he6/33??
Matty, what a cool icon!
They say that for all of June the MARINE LAYER is there. strange
he6 hoisted
Beast, do you have the he4/8. It's past tense. It means lifted.
he 6 is past tense of he 4, meaning to lift
thanks queen
I miss San Diego. IT was a cooler climate for sure.
You're welcome, Beast.
When you are inland, do you still get the high humidity AND higher temperatruex? I would fade waway in on time.
Sometimes it's pretty humid, Inge. But mostly just hot. We were 102 yesterday & they are predicting the same today.
pardon the misspellings. The mere thought of high humidity does taht to me!
Today it's hazy and warm (for London) - I'd guess around 80ish...?
That is pretty warm for London. Hope you can stay cool, Matty.
I'm alright - I'm from NY originally, so this is a dawdle.
Ah, a Naw Yahker! :)
My phantom word - civet
Michigan is havnign another humid day. We are expecting thrunderstorms this pm, which should fill our rain collecting buckets and barrels. We try to water all of our house plants with rain water. Our well water leaves a white film with time.
From LonGI
LonGisland
my phantom word - audacious. nearly! Hi all!
that's a good one, matty!
I see evict and addict
I must go get ready for the great soccer match!! wax under arms, apply wash-off tattoo flag to face, set spring loaded boots, put pizza chips and nachos in the oven...
Ok time for a break. See you all later, if possible. Daughter coming with grand girls for father
s day. Mr. P who is playing today?
cool mr p, i think there will be a few sleepy people around tom
The England flag must be far easier to paint on the face than the Australian LOL
I kept trying to do educate. Have fun Mr. Prez! I'm going to run off too. Maybe I can salvage an hours sleep. Be nice. Thanks for the fireworks & great chat!
oh, just australia and brazil...
i am on my last word
Woo Hoo, Beast! You go!
go beast
Wow. the big match. Missed the end of the US: Italy game yesterday. How did it come out?
it was equal inge... and the referee was nasty... three red cards
bye queen - thanks for the chat and clues - don't wither away in the hot temps!
I'll try not to, JMann. And you keep cool too.
my icon is a coming of age to australia
I was watching when the commentator said that that ref ought to be barred from further games.
any clues for en6 before you go
the ref red carded a tackle and a handball, what a dick!!
hooray! I have the fireworks. One of the fastest I have completed. Although I must say that I am not 'listless'
Australia are playing Brazil today?! My husband says "Brazil will declare at half time" (he's british)
Beast, I have an en5 or an ed6, which do you need?
Fireworks for ExWren! Woo hoo!
en 6: en + snake + fifrth vowel + secnodn vowel
oh man, ive been looking for en6 and its ed 6 no wonder
ExWren gets *~*~*~FIREWORKS!~*~*~*
WELL DONE, EX-WREN!
Yeah, I don't show an en6. Did I miss one, Inge? I've got 77 total?
en snake (?) - how so?
sorry I misclued the en, ed 6 is past tense of ed 5
Yeah for me xxx
Beast, ED6 is past tense of ed 5.
thanks inge
congrats ExWren
i am now finished
Hey, Jacula - you've got Bill the Cat!
yeah for the small board
matty, you caught me, I tried to clue the en from memory and thought there was an s instead of *
Beast gets *~*~*~FIREWORKS!~*~*~*
thanks queen
Woo Hoo, Beast! Fireworks!!!
Matty - Is that who it is? I got it a couple of years ago and it reminded me of myself. LOL.
thanks for all the help
this was easier that last night
anyone need any clues??
Bye all!! Pray for Australian Football!! ....
OK - can someone clue the en snake clue, where the snake doesn't work?
will be hoping we win mr p
go aussie go oi oi oi !!
Now I can go into the garden with a clear concience (is that how you spell it?)
Jacula - yah - from a newspaper comic in the eighties called Bloom County - look it up - it was very funny
conscience, Wrenny.x
matty do you mean the en 5 word
Matty - I did just look it up. I've learned something new.:)
bye all!
Sarah's phantom word is candidate. Yes, please the en 5...
bye mr p
Bill the cat ran for president in 1984
'Bye MrP.
do you have ed5? , take out the c
Matty - 1984 disappeared in a blur of me looking after my newborn firstborn. LOL.
Ha! I was 17. It was a fun year (despite Ronnie Reagan) - I went to (watch) the Olympics in LA.
i was in primary school!!
en5 - to give a quality to, to endow.
well im off now
catch you all tom
thanks beast - have a good night
bye beast
Did the en5 clue help?
Yep - thanks, Jacula!
Good. I'm off to tackle a stack of ironing now. Happy Babbling!
OK - now the ad 6/30...
ad 6/30:
to provide evidence for to prve your case
Thanks, Pam!
sure!
pam - still struggling with the AD 6/30 - any more clues
ad+ rhymes with a two-top in the restaurant biz
Is there a clue for the ov7?
caddie
ov7 - "to kil an egg"
ad6/30 - to make bigger - to put two numbers together than text speak for you, then short cut for sea and finally a vowel
or: "to kill an oblong"
Is there any reason I can only find one of the ce4/6?
hilarious clue. Thanks
perfect clue, dachef, thanks!
ooops sorry
Thanks, that helped me with the na as well.
Matty, I only have the ce4 that contains 2c's - you have others?
ce + Princess **
There are only two...got it now - thanks! The other contains only one c...
hi all :)
hello atalante
Hi Atalante? I look forward to seeing your father's day icon..
hi everyone
cu6/30?
Never mind - got it!
fireworks
Congrats!
tks
good morning!
happy father's day!!!
I am quite stuck on the da 5. What am I not seeing please?
past tense of da4/5
Oh, you will feel silly. it's the past tense of the da4/5
Sorry ... I don't do Father's Day icons! Anything I came up with would be distinctly uncomplimentary ;)
fish for breakfast, Merk? :-)
I found one, of sorts...;
me too, Atalante
I am quite silly. I could not see how to get there. I looked for that.
<lobs distinctly unfresh carp at Merk>
People keep talking about fish. I don't get it.
Back from cat feeding....missing a k. I have ka4/8,ke4/11 and ke4/8. Whatam I missing?
As in getting hit with a wet herring...
okay, so I'm stuck on TH 5/18 - any clues
Merk - its an old babble saying, meaning an obvious word that just doesnt appear (we've all been there), as in "haddock of obviousness".
JMann-past tense of stealing
so about that k.....
I had the fish the other day when I spent about half an hour monkey-typing for "peat". Doh!
thanks eva - and for the K's you are missing a KE 5/24
sorry eva, I've only got 1!
Sorry Eva - I don't have it!
That damned mountain is in the grid again (I fished for it yesterday, and embarassingly needed it hinted)
any clues for that ke5/24 JMann?
I think I gave you the hint on the mt. yesterday.
k-words: alt spelling of walking stick, coral r***, swop for a k, an english county and an odd word defined as "fibre from an East Indian plant".
And how stupid did I feel!
eva - try KE + what you use to keep yourself cool in hot weather (usually small, paper and folds shut) spelled backwards
or a man's name + a vowel + a consonant
thanks JMann!
yw
thanks everyone
Im stumbing around the ad6 - I know its been clued a littl earlier, but still not getting it. Any other clues?
ad
rhymes with the greens at the market
If I say 1+1=2 I have a**ed one to one. Start there. Then see what you get.
ed5?
ed= to elicit
sorry--ed5 = to elicit
okay, so ED 5 and AD 6 have the same last 4 letters
JM--yepper
Thanks folks!
and they rhyme with a two-top
and then ED 6 is the past tense of ED 5
whats a two-top?
why is that ad6 two-top hint not working for me?!
a table for two in a retaurant
morning all...
i was going to ask, but then I got the word, so I moved on (I'm fickle I guess)
how about a card with two figures on it?
sounds like an americanism! I run a restaurant, and have never called a table for two a two-top! But I will start, sounds like a cool word!
or a tied tennis score?
eva - still not getting the past tense of stealing - i just keep coming up with stole and that doesn't work - its for the TH 5/18
mayhaps it is an americanism...a widely used one in teh biz here
pam - that tennis clue worked for me - nice one!
doh... needed to double the consonant...
thanks--i was determined!
There is no honour among th***** - and those people for whom there is no honor commit th5/18s.
when someone steals it is called a th*
Jmann that was for you
Another phantom word - faucit
'cept I misspelt it. Not a good day.
omg! Okay, thanks, I got it, and boy do i feel stupid - I never went down to that last row!
I didn't get it at first either, until you asked again.
thanks
Fireworks!
yw
cool!
yeah
Congrats Merk! Can you clue me on what is probablhy an obvious fa5?
It uses the two letters at the end of the alphabet
And in abc order no less
With a common vowel at the end
FA + those damaging rays from the sun + a vowel
a french word for beast; a painting style
ok off to church
Thanks, all!
yw
has anyone got all the 7s? I have a NA and an OV ...
There's a seven ov?!
there is!
egg death
ca 7 - add an ocean to the ca6 after it. an7 - alkali!
Crikey. Does it have anything to do with egs?
eggs...that should have read.
ov7 - to kill an egg.
didnt realise an7 was a real word!
matty - egg death
What a stupid word!
Good morning, all!
Morning Jera - I like your icon!
Thanks, I am nice & cool today after my heat stroke yesterday...
na5/16 anyone?
I'm looking for the na5 as well - got the na7 thanks to an earlier clue - now THAT'S a strange word...
the na5 is v similar to the na7
clue for the na 7 please???
yeah... got the na7...
sdame start for 5, ends in a vowel
I just started, only have 25 words... only big one I have is the egg one that I saw a hint for as soon as i arrived...
ooops same
The na5 is another dumb word. Scottish for no, then for the seven, a big empty space. For the five, it's part of the empty space, as it were...
ah... the na5 ends with a vowel...
its a birthmark
my grandmother was from edingurgh should have paid more attention
is that your kitty, Kallia?
NA + Adam's spouse - change the last vowel to another vowel = NA 5/16
found it ty kallia pushed me in the right direction
yes it is :)
beautiful!
she is lovely...a right madam though lol
lol aren't all cats, at least at times?
indeed !
NA 7/44 = NA + another vowel + what you write across your checks (cheques) when you don't want them to be cashed
Hiya, everyone!!!!
jmann great clue
void
oops
Greetings, movieman... how are you today?
Anyone remember sniglets? One of my favourites was the 'Meganegabar' - that's the line you write on a cheque after the amount to prevent people from writing "and a million dollars"
thanks aknitter
*^*^*^*^*^*Fireworks******^*^*^*^*^
du5 anyone?
wd Matty
I'm not too bad today, Jera, got a touch of hayfever though, that's why I can't stand hot weather.....
Huzzah for mattygroves!
I went to a Pow-Wow yesterday & got waaaaay too hot... still not very perky today. But well enough to Babble!
yey mattygroves
congrats!
du5 - du + meow
make mine a trout
:)
3 more... an5, en5, sh5...
ad clue anyone?
are there any s5s? or more than 1 c6?
I meant s6s!
Right - outta here!
Have a great morning/afternoon/evening, folks. Cheers!
ad+two
sh5/10 - means a bundle of
ugh... i swore I tried that! thx!
the other sh5/18- to push forward
I dont know atalante...have one s missing
4st and 1 sh...what am I missing please
grace that add 2 clue doesn't work for me too early i guess
so do I! and 1 6 out of 5 words left ... I'm trying to work out where it belongs
6 s words...4 s5....
ad + a pair
atalante - there are 2 SH's and 2 ST with 5 letters, but no S 6's, and there is 1 CA 6
en5 and an5 to go...
ok...an5 left
I've got 3 sh and 2 st - not sure how that fits in with yours though Kallia!
ty Grace and JMann
pass the fish please!
sh 4/5 Met's home
could someone give me a clue for the na 7?
ok I have them all now...2st's and 4sh
ylleria - NA 7 = NA + another vowel + what you write across your checks when you don't want them to be cashed (or another word for a big gap)
woo hoo! finished!
congrats Grace!!!!!
Thanks JMann - now I'm going to go and find out what it means!
woot!
wd grace
anyone need a clue before i go?
cu 6?
fake
crap not again
grace, clue for ad 6/30, please?
Cluez for the 7's would be helpful, plz......
ad6...ad + a pair
aknitter - a hug but change the second to last letter to a vowel
an7... like pepto
ca7... like ca6 but add a consonant before the last vowel
ty jmann
AN 7/36 - take the word above it (AN 4/4) and add another word to it (a liquid or a drug from the 60's)
yw aknitter
grace, im still asleep or dense, why cant I see the ad/6
ad + word meaning pair of cards, rhymes with goose

never heard of the word, but then again, its a wild sheep from Northern Africa, so that's not surprising
anyone looking for any clues before I go to bed?
(((((FAERIE)))))))) Good morning everyone!
ci 5/20?
JMann, clue for an 5/12, please?
good morning, musicmom!!!
duh i found it fish please
I'm thinking about attempting this one. Haven't been on all week due to Girl Scout camp
((((((MusicMom))))) Hi I've missed talking with you.
I've missed you all too. This coming week should be much calmer. Had a beautiful week at camp
Music I did yesterdays the first one for me all week it was really easy.
CI 5/20 - a common car made by Honda or relating to a city, as in "it your CI*** duty"
ty
So glad to hear camp went good. I'm sure the girls had a blast
I was SOOO tired yesterday. We camped out Friday night and I didn't get to bed until 2 AM. Up at 6:15 to cook breakfast and tear down tents. I slept all afternoon
AN 5/12 - same beginning as the two above it (AN 4/4 and AN 7/36) + a vowel
the girls did have a blast. They earned 8 badges this week
Music - I know you had to have been exhausted. The kids have lots more energy than you and I put together but the tearing down camp had to be a big chore in itself.
sorry, that clue was for AN 5/10
teddie isn't a word? Tell that to Victoria's Secret!
Faerie - it was a huge chore to tear down - especially because several leaders did not stay to help. It was two other leaders, myself and Sarah that tore down.
AN 5/12 is the past tense of the one above it (AN 4/4 - a different one than I listed below) - basically, you would have done this in a poker game
Sarah earned all 25 of her Program Assist. volunteer hours this week.
thank you, JMann, pass the fish!
Basically, between the last two clues for AN, those are the 5 AN's
annie - it's okay, i didn't get it for a while
Music - You must be very proud of Hannah and Sarah they are such good kids you and Greg have done a fantastic job as parents that is so evident. You deserve a badge also LOL
got them all, JMann. thanks!!! be back later, breakfast making calls.
Thanks. I *am* very proud of them. I did get three patches this week:-))
bye annie - have a great day
thank you, you too!
Music - How are your flowers doing?
Actually very well. My snapdragons are blooming beautifully.
Bye Annie :)
Something ate my marigolds - I'm going to have to get more.
My straw flowers have buds but haven't bloomed out yet.
anyone need any clues?
No thanks JMann - I'm just getting started
I love snapdragons I didn't put any out this year and wished I had but my sweetpeas have gone crazy. They are just beautiful.
good luck musicmom, it's not that bad of a grid today
Someone had told me I would have trouble with snapdragons but my grandpa always had them when I was a child so I decided to try. They are doing good.
Thanks Jmann
did you say something ate yor marigolds?? I also put them out to keep insects and critters away. LOL
done!
That's what I thought you were supposed to do Faerie. But yep, something ate them down to the ground. My very knowledgable next door neighbor thinks it might have been rabbits
hello

We did the Adena-Alex day camp for Black Diamond. Ran Monday - Friday with Junior camp out on Friday night
Our juniors earned 8 badges and completed Linking Girls to the Land. Sarah earned all her PA hours.
Pow-Wow sounds like fun
Sounds like fun... did it rain on you guys? We had rain Wednesday & Thursday morning

Hi all

No it is central standard. New York is eastern.
Hi, Tiny. Bye all. Enjoy the babbling....
woah!!! Lickety's mega update - it's even better now!!! :D
I was very embarrassed, MM... the leader getting heatstroke... I bit off more than I could chew with the terrible heat...
bye charm
I am good sitting in front of wood fire cold here in Aus
Oh no Jera. You have to be very careful with that.
One of our First Aid situation cards was about the leader getting hurt. Good for the girls to think about
I was concerned about one of the other leaders I was working with because she tended not to eat all day.
Oh yes... using what you learn to save your leader! Such POWER!
iced
sorry didn't mean to do that
LOL our situation was that the leader fell into the lake and bumped her head. The girls had some good ideas
I think I will either stick to the Fall and indoor ones from now on. Seriously considering cancelling the family trip to the Highland Games next month. I felt really, really bad.
Yikes, falling into the lake wasn't bad enough? LOL
Jera - that may be a good idea to cancel- although I know how hard it is to do that. I decided not to take my girls to Junior Jam this year because I don't think they have enough outdoor experience and we need to get it closer to home
We're working on a Girl Scout board game that has questions to advance like that
We really wanted to challenge them.
That sounds great Jera.
I was lucky yesterday to ahve good adult help so the Girls could go ahead of me & not miss the Grand Entrance... that was truly awesome.
A friend of mine is a dancer & he was really great about talking with the Girls & answering questions.. awesome costume & he explained the meanings of all the different stuff.
It is always comforting to know you have enough adult help. Very cool about the Grand Entrance. Are you okay today?
Wow - I wish I could have been there.
Still a bit dizzy & zero appetite. Just drinking & pee-ing, LOL
We did have an astronomer come on Friday night and bring a very big telescope. I was able to see Jupiter and four of its moons. I missed Saturn because I was overseeing fire building.
Take care of yourself and keep the fluids going in!
Tiny sitting here on the ducted heated. Watching motor bike racing and drinking tea before bed
Somebody complained about the chanting being boring... I asked her if she knew what that meant... which started a whole discussion that lasted most of the trip home!
You guys are cracking me up sitting in front of fires and on heaters. It is going to be very warm here today and I have the air conditioner on.
Musicmom, planet watching! awesome!
Don't you love those Serendipitous discussions!
Oh, I love astronomy... I hate I know nothing about actually doing it on my own. My sense of direction goes out the window when I look up for somereason. But we never miss a meteor shower. The planetarium trip is one of the highlights of the year!
It really was Annie. One of those times I wished I didn't have to be the responsible adult and could have stayed and participated more. But, alas, you must have a fire to make s'mores.
Not bloody funny. Its bloody cold. Its about 5 to 10 degrees celesus here
You need a quilt her
I love going out bush and seeing the stars properly.
Jera - we are going to take two cadette troops camping in August and include a meteor shower star gazing. I'm really looking forward to it because I will be able to watch too
no going to bed soon
um i do live in the burbs but the city lights stop decent star gazing
The girls finished the Night Sky badge Friday. I had fun listening to them chat. They were blown away that they witnessed first hand that Saturn really does have rings
Thats pretty cool how many kids to u 2 have
Her - I grew up in the city. I married a country boy. The first time I was ever at his parents at night I was blown away by the number of stars in the sky
I have two daughters --12 and 6 years old. I have 6 12 year olds in my Girl Scout troop
Very cool... we have a campout planned during peak time. Sure beats the winter ones
No doubt!
I love it. In summer we drag our butts outside and grab the outdoor mats and lay outside and sleep. Arr so you have girls and look after 6 12years at camp. That means zero sleep and lots of giggling?
I have a 10 year old daughter & a 4 year old sone who thinks he's a Girl Scout too... we have a brothers' auxiliary, LOL
brrr winter. Jera do you have boyscouts
That is exactly what it means, Her. I didn't babble yesterday because I had to come home to sleep after camping Friday night.
Stargazing at the beach is pretty awesome... I remember that as a child
giggle, thanks nearly snorted tea out my nose for snickering
I had 32 girls Friday night ages 8-12. I had 6 PAs ages 12 - 17. It was a lot of fun
Not yet, herinfernallady... I have another year before we do that. Or he might do Spiral Scouts, I have some issues with the BS organization
Hey Jera - I now have a Brownie. Hannah bridged last week. She earned a bunch of try-its this week at camp and I don't even have her vest yet.
i am lucky. I live 30min from the city about 1hr to the beach and about 2hours to the hills. this is all public transport time. I think if i had a car i would be about 1hr hour from the sea, the hills and the city
I wish we had public transport.
Oh wow, Bridging is soooo special... Sprite sang a song for the Bridging Ceremony last week for her old troop back home... everybody was bawling...
Oh my word 32 girls all pre teen is way too much for me. Even when i waz 12 i didn't like 12yrolds
That is sooo sweet Jera. I had tears in my eyes too.
LOL her - my turn to snort. I'll take a 12 year old over a 5 year old any day
Public transport is good. Thats good that you have a new brownie
She sang Unwritten & Breakaway... she started bawling during Breakaway...
aWWWWWW
I don't think we have girl guides here anymore just scouts but its mixed sex
awww 2
Do you have children her?
Nope. I am 28 and live on my own. I used to look after 13 under 5s. Never and i mean NEVER give chocolate crackles unless u want a hyper fit
LOL her! NO doubt. My job is to teach newborns - 7 year olds so I know what you mean.
13 under 5 is a handful!
My b/f and i don't want kids. Never have. I think we both like animals . I stopped looking after kids after i got my qualifications in childcare cause the rules were stupid
It's good to know what you want. Child rearing is not for everyone. Animals can be as challenging. Go for it!
Well ladies, I would love to stay and chat but it is Father's day and time for me to prepare the brunch. I'll be back later to finish. It feels good to be babbling again.
13 under 5's used to be managed for 2 hours. First bit i used to set up a play corner - pencils crayons all that stuff and then i used to put on t.v.
bye for now, nusicmom!
Bye Annie
Sounds like you had it under control her
*musicmom
I forgot that in usa was fathers day. enjoy. Im going to bed. bye musicmom might see if your on here when i wake up in a few hours.
Yep kids are great. Specially when you can hand them back. Everyone likes me looking after there kids as i keep them safe and im not stricked only when it comes too the kitchen and safety stuff
I think i get on well with kids cause i act like one most of the time

I'm back...
her... English proper means nothing here...
where did you go jera
We have French, Spanish, Latin, Chinese, Gaelic... some words count & some don't with no logical rhyme or reason...

I have to pop out suddenly when kids need me... I usually pop back in soon enough...
ok thats why i cant figured stuff out. really dodgy with anything outside english. yepo Jera kids do that
Many words are found just typing in stuff that sounds good... you never know when it might be a word!

dodgy
but fun
i see dad made the puzzle today
Howdy, evanonut... how are you today?
but isn't it meant to be 4 letters and above
oh, great jera - puzzling and procrastinating...i'm good at one of the two.
It's not valid, herinfernallady, but it's there!
Me too... not even dressed yet...
err i meant that after i typed it in. I forget today is your fathers day thing. Ours isn't until september, i think
dressed here, but it's warm enough already that i'm reconsidering
suppose i should start that laundry though...
Went to an Indian Pow=wow yeaterday & got heatstroke... I may never eat again... just drinking...
Where are you, herinfernallady?
they always have pow wows in some hot hell hole for some reason
oops! forgot about the kids, sorry for the swear word
I think I'm sticking to the Fall ones from now on... or at leat indoors...
I live in melbourne australia and its 1230am and everyone including the dog has gone to bed
Oh, I love Australia... I'm running away there someday!
One more word & I'm halfway & can go to the list!
i only have 14 - i suck (not that i care), i think i'll go check on my eba instead
I have 12 words. Australia is very big. I want to run away to new york and new orleans some day and texas and iowa to visit friends
Well, I'm half-way... gonna go get the list & fill out what I have so far... then it's bath time. I'll check in later...
im goign to be as i have the lucky 13. I may see you when i wake up at 11am

gh, is your screen name a babble word, or does it have meaning?
OK, so maybe the sheep aren't strange, but the word sure is
I can see why I am not finding the words by myself. Thanks for all of the help.
it's just the middle letters on the keyboard - did you ever have to take typing in school?
I did, and I am glad that I did.
that's how i learned the keyboard - repeating ghfjdk over and over until it was time to move on...
have you been practicing your typing, and that is why it stuck?
no, i've just always remembered it - it's become my "thing" - ID names, passwords, etc.
Ah ha! YOur password! Just tell me a little more, and we will have access to your millions! Ha!
hahaha..
My last word is du5....I promise not to ask anymore! YEAH! Any clues on that one? Thanks.

Excellent Judi - how are you?
thanks

I'm so sorry, Judi -- can't imagine how difficult today must be for you . . .
I'm sorry Judi. {{{{{{{{{{hugs"}}}}}}}}}}}}
Awww. Thanks Jen & Musicmom. I'm doing okay. Still, pretty sad. He was a great daddy.
My dad died in 1991 but we weren't close. Still miss him sometimes though

sorry
He had brain surgery back in December of '05. Removed a malignant tumor the size of an egg. He never really recovered. Just got weaker and weaker. He was 80.
that is hard to watch them deteriorate. My dad was in his 40s. Had a massive heart attack from an unhealthy lifestyle
That must have been really shocking and sad, musicmom. I lost my mom when she was only 42 (lung cancer).
my bird died a week ago... she deterioted really quickly =(
It was Judi - it was two weeks after I got married and the day before I started student teaching. That was a rough fall
Never an easy thing to lose a parent. No matter young or old they are. Very weird to be experiencing "orphan syndrome" right now.
I'm sorry Freckle - it is hard to lose a pet as well as a relative
Ditto, Freckle. Poor birdie. Bet she flew right up to heaven, though!

hehe ;) happens to the best of us, doren
libarebel, you should have 3 du words total
in the lake house - when sandra bullock is crossing the street under the el tracks, i am walking behind her, across the street, from right to left, wearing a purple/mauve sweater & jeans - oh yeah, i have long, straight, blond hair - thatwent by so fast that i didn't notice the begining of the shot - when youmight have seen my face
I'll keep an eye out when we go see it so I can say to my beloved spouse, "See! That's ... well, that's helenkeller from Babble!" :)
Clue please for the T word from the right hand T !!
ok, ch1212-- missin a du-- have il du** and what looks like its plural...

N plus latin plural, plus vo4/8
lgorms - here's the clue that finally made me get the na7/44: scottish for "no" + a check that won't be cashed
ty ty ty darci

na + third vowel plus to ignore something purposely.
haha me neither! i had help
I have the na 7 and the ca 7, what are the other 7's ?
an 7/36 - what you take if you have indigestion

one c left-- have ca7/44, ca6/27, ca4/6, ca5/14, ca4/5, ce4/6, ci5/20, ci5/18, and cu 6/30...
ov7/48 - to murder an egg?
ov + 3rd vowel + ending for criminal word describing murder
libarebel, drop one of the double letters from your ca 6/27, and drop the final vowel
Blimey, I would never have gotten that ov 7 without help... ty guys !!

ty Dorens, as usual starring me right in the puss
anyone have any clues for the cu6/30 please??
hpy - try refreshing; that happens to me all the time.
mary if you scroll back you'll see i missed an even more obvious one bfore,
cu6/30 - take the word that means to snuggle and replace one consonnt with a vowel
i have tried many times mab to no avail
mab-- can't quite place your icon...
you can try rebooting - eventually everything will likely be displayed properly.
my icon is a rembrandt self-portrait. a sort of non sequitar in terms of the theme, although he had children.
ty mab i will try that
mab i was in amsterdam in april and that icon is ALL over the place...every bus, etc, etc.
ty, mab-- looked so familiar-- lovely portrait! very apropos!
the portrait is even striking as a small icon
ty, ty darci : ))), took me a min to find it
now it says i have -1 left, lol
interesting dorens. this one i think was stolen, not sure if it was recovered.
no problem :)
i could be wrong about which one...i'm thinking of a self-portrait...my computer is not allowing me to enlarge yours so I don't see it clearly....i just assumed it was the rembrandt i saw so often
how many total words? I am @ 76 but I think I'm missing the an7
you're only missing one, mary. there's 77 total
the an7 is all you need....you won't get an upset stomach with it
Thank you Thank you Dorens, I have finished
congratulations!
good job, mary!
ty all for all your help. The only reason I finished is because it was so short. Now that summer is here I hate to say it but I'd rather be outside. Nite all
nite mary!
nite
a similar rembrandt self portrait was stolen from the isabella stuart gardner museum here in boston just last year-- so similar, but w/ feather in cap
and they never found it?

hey, you went pro!
still trying to see how many I can get without looking

what a great photo, nrkii!
I may use it for next couple of days too, as I won't have a chance to scan my high school grad pic
thanks!
hey everybody! i don't see any guys on, but Happy Father's Day!

Fran, that is a wonderful picture
darci, who's in your pic?

brb
nrkii - they really do!
sweet, darci-- hippie dad! how nice for you!
liba - TOTAL hippie! haha
my dad died three years ago, the day after father's day. he was a truly amazing man, and held on till we could all be together (here at my house...my kids came in from Boston). so father's day is always bittersweet for me. But I don't mean to sound maudlin, honestly
darci, are you the cute child in the pic?
that's me!
nrk, i saw your dad's pic last night, it really is a great picture.
wow, don't know what to say to that dorens, other than ((((((((hug)))))))))
yeah Fran, I gave up on the toilet early, LOL
dorens, i totally understand. my dad actually passed away two weeks ago today. so this is a particularly hard father's day for me.
oh no Darci, I'm so sorry to hear that!
thanks...i really didn't mean to ask for sympathy..i'm ok..it's just seeng these pics....wow, Darci that really is special then. wish i could enlarge the pics but can't see

feather, did it have anything to do with your mom's cooking?? ;-)
na 7....another one that I tried with clues an hour ago and gave up on
na7/44 - scottish for "no" + a check that can't be cashed
Hey Gang Angelsong is still trying to get her calendar finished for BIRTHDAYS so If you'll be kind enough ???? I'll grab them for her now. No one has to give the birthday it's just for those that want to join in :)
that was the old clue....i can't think of a check that can't be cashed....my mind is numb
aha, ok. well, what do you write across a check if you make a mistake and don't want it to be cashed?
or think of a word that means the absence of matter...?

ci 5/20 - your ci*** duty to vote
and another slap upside the head for c5!
ci 5/18 - change last letter to vowel #2
ci 5/18 what a serviman calls his regular clothes
i hate it when i make the words harder than they are.
thank you Jili and akn
i seem to always find the hard ones and miss the obvious ones. feel like a dope when i ask for clues and they are for the easy words
well i am off like a herd of turtles uness someone wants another clue
i was monkey typing and doh there it was...both of them right after i asked for help! *blush*
akn - there's a group of us here who have been knitting little teddybears for Doctors Without Borders to take to sick kids in disadvantaged countries -- apparently it really helps them recover or at least feel better.
I think that earns you a fish in the face, lbdawger
ok I am back for some more clues, for maybe the next 15 min or so
voting is your * duty
oooh i'd like to knit a bear that would be fun where did you find a pattern jilli
whoo hoo - just got our 2nd fireworks! Thanks to Lickety's clues and eavesdropping on some hints from y'all! Thank you!
the next one starts the same change the last 2 letters
Akn, email me - check my profile.

hi herinfer -- morning? where are you -- it's evening here
australia, melbourne
Thanks! This is so addictive, but with homeschooling 3 kids and just generally living life, I can't devote the time to it that I'd like to. But my kids and husband like to sit next to me and help - annoying sometimes, but mostly enjoyable :-)
I sleep while you lot have day time
Could someone please help me with di 6/30?
isn't it fun, playing agame across the world? i finidshed last night (here) so can help if you like, for a while before my suppertime
di 6 is plural of the 5 before it
Yes its fun. I used to read dictionarys for fun. Some of these words though are just crazy and i wouldn't have thought of them
di6/30 is pl. of di5/ 18
di 6/30 - the plural of di 5/18 - the chunk of grass a golfer sprays
ta. i got that clue
Ahhh...Thanks so much. I didn't have di 5 either, but knowing it was plural showed me exactly which way to go!
Hi herinfer. I have a daughter in Fremantle can never phone at the right time for both of us
i think i had that last night but spelling quite crappy at that time of night
Hetty um google world time so you can see when to call. My friends live in perth
herinf -- babblets drive me nuts but that's the excuse for the chatterbox!
anybody have a clue for the bottom "c" word??
Perth is ginormous. But much like Vancouver in style and ambiance
already nuts here
der i cant believe i just missed an easy word
plural of cecum?
money of ghana?
bottom c word (6/30) is like the golder's helper but cu
sheesh, golfer's helper!
and I do know the time differential, so I call around 4 p.m. to reach her at 8a.m.--the difficulty is in getting the window right between her rising and leaving for school/work
bottom c is what cute cows chew
hetty and infer -- that's why i like email - time doesn't matter!
the c on the bottom left corner...?
already ave the golfers helper
Oh, THAT c.
hi everyone!! just starting now, will I make it?
It's what mililary golks call their Non-uniform clothes.
do you mean a ce or a ci?
giggle hetty. i find it a hassel trying to remeber my perth friends time and my o/s friends time so im totally hopeless on catching them
c on bottom left corner--there are 3-- 2 ci5's and one ce4--which do you need?
i dunno the bottom c only needs one word and i cant figure it out
Bash thats not proper english and im still trying to get my head around the use of none proper english her
bugger, typo here
the ci's both begin with part of Latin for city; the ce adds dad again
oops no, not dad, Charlie's princess
I think you need a ce 4/6, which might be the latin plural of a part of the intestine
I'm out to unch. There are 2 e's; one is as I just said--add princess: other goes t another "c" and then another vowel
Jilli's right of course
i need one more word and i have 25
well, which one???
anders, you are very brave to start now. some of the twists and turns are dizzifying
i don't know, really stupid look from me.
im just thinking, bugger my cup of teas getting cold, brb
have a look at lickety's list, if you have access to it!

typing is tough at thistime of night
blabbling, jilli!
see/ this time...
stepped away for a minute...good job goofball!
o never mind
I think thistime should be a word!
ty, lib lol!
I love looking at old paintings in person, where I can move around and see how the brush strokes appear from various angles... much more interesting than just blobs of color in a book.
gnite
lol, jilli! ;-D
how you doing kristin? need any more clues?
gnite harp
harp -- are you done already?
yes, stid!
last word...iv5
stid - lovely fan
nite, harp & ty for earlier clues!
iv 5 is sorta fishy you want a clue?
yes stid, i finished this afternoon, just stopped in so say hi. i am also, goofball, you know. so i just did the grid again, as my evil twin, with everyone's help!
iv5/18- covered in a viney plant
yes, nice fan, stid!
brb
iv5 - the iv***halls of the *** lEague, Yale, Harvard, Princeto0n, Dartmouth, etc
that's funny, harp! have a fine evening, and see you tomorrow!
o gawd, the typing!
it's a souvenir fan from somewhere in England, I think -- I borrowed it for the theme...

every harpist in the world, at some time or another?
tomorrow is my birthday so I declare it a day of rest for all! :)
at the end of helter skelter john screamed it...
I will certainly drop by, but don't know if I want to play.
goofball - I should have called myself Wol, if you know your Christopher Robin.
i knew it was beatlesish
i'll tell them I have your permission when I call in sick tomorrow, stid!
hey peeps
yep. fierce!
yes, do harp -- I think babbling should come first, followed closely by naps and having fun in the yard. :-)

hey u guys
good night fiercefemme!
good night harp!
bonsoir femme
nite, fierce!
good night john boy!
hey bailey
I hope that we don't pay for saying today's grid was easy ...
tooright, mate!
with a 300+ grid...
well now if we do...we can harrass you right lib?
this grid wasn't too easy for a busy father's day... It was actually just about right, given the time I had available.
oh, dear, guess so :)
300 words would definitely put me off tomorrow!
me too
yep, on a monday?!
wow, stid-- beautiful fan!
okay...hold me to it, if it is over 170, don't let me play...busy day tomorrow.
anders - how are you doing?
what should we do to you, kristin?
it is a pretty fan -- wish it were really mine, and not just an icon...
verbal harrassment? ...no I know, cut my power at the house, then I can't play (well except for the laptop)
laptop is wifi?
bogus clues? mwahh-ahh-ah!
yep...I know, unplug my wireless (then I can still have power) :)
bogus clues...can you imagine?
lol, kris!
hi all anyone needs any clues?
how about bogus words? what else is new?
hi andy! I think most of us are done -- how was your weekend? ours was quiet.
andy, yeah, but way too many for help
lol, jillibus-- you are SO right!
hi andy
oh Nat, didn't realize you were still working!
hi NatLt long time no talk - wanna try?
I only got on around 11 tho
bogus clues for bogus words.... I could DO that!
well let's go Nat
Nat...random clues for you coming up...
hiya andy!
lolstid
um, ok, the c from the bottom
hi kristin
ce 4/4 is kinf like "to give up" flip last vowel to another vowel
Hi,everyone? Like this grid?.....NOT!!! I'm hoping for a juicy long one with lots of words to find that aren't as obscure as ca7/44!
ce, up a level, down to 1st vowel
ce4= ce+telephone **ll
ce4=rhymes with yeti
cool
more?
hi Jai! I don't want a really long one tomorrow... just around 120 would be "perfect" for me. I can do those listless some days, but it's not so long that listless takes the whole 24 hours...
hi jaianniah...what happened to Jainut?
ad?
yes...I support 120 for tomorrow...can we have my name in it to in celebration of my big day?
and all the an's so far
Meg is taking a break from Babbling, and I am doing so much better that I don't really need her help anymore.
big day kristin?
ad+du4/7 (card)
ad 6/30 ad + last four letters of se**** to sexually conquer
except the one like the bug
well good to see youJai!
ca7/44- I toss that word around daily-- where's my ca&/44... (not! :-D)
jill...birthday tomorrow!
Thank you, Kristin....is it your birthday tomorrow?
an7--take for heart burn (starts w/ picnic pest)
yes
yep, kristin will be as old as I was when our first was born... :-)
an - all are derived from teh insect
sexually conquer?
an 4/4 try an** as against and then flip last vowel 2x and you got 2 of tehm
an4-place a bet (also change the last vowel to the first for another word)
yes liba can't come with better word for teh art of se***ion
an 7/36 - tums. 4/4 the 1st 4 letters, 5/10 add an e. next 4/4, put up a bet, 5/12, did so
yes liba, you remember -- first you wink, then you wine and dine, then you convince them to come in for a nightcap....
an 5/10 is latinm plural of the first an 4/4
I was twenty- how old were you, Stidmama?
stid thanks we do think like lol
I bite the heads off those I sexually conquer...
an 3/6 is the insect + ac 4/6
I was 26, 29 with the second (and last)
got them, thank
oh, yep, stid! :-D
andy, that is just silly. :-)
I wasn't so bright- it took me three more times before I got it figured out...
ooooh liba are you a termite?
LOL Jai! I would have liked more -- if I weren't so sick all the time when they were little.
ca 7, and 6, the last ca 4/6
nat how are you doing?
tee hee...libarebel's a termite!
kidding..<blush>
I think she's more of a black widow....
ca 7 and ca 6 are related
ca 6 is the guy who carries the bag of golf clubs
ca6-golf helper
ca 6/27 a guy who is helping a golf pro - misspelled
I think praying mantises do that...
the ca 7 is same first three letters, then add on the fuzzy things people hang from the rear-view mirror in hot rods
ca7...golf helper with a c in between the last 2 vowels
and then change the first vowel for a cu6
ca 7/44 is the same but insert third letter into the position NO 6
and black widows eat their mate, I think...
yes, I admit I listen to "Cah Tawk" when I can!
yep- first they bite the head off....
k, got those, thanks....da 4/6 and 5/14
anyone else getting hungry with all this talk of eating?
preying matises bite their mates off. there was a whole Buffy the Vampire Slayer episode about it. Season 1, episode 3. Titled She-Mantis.
da 4/6 is the fuzzy car mirror things with A first vowel
da 4/6 - almost same as da 4/5 (fruit) - flip the "t" to another consonant
NOT! ICK!
then the 4/5 is what you go on with your boyfriend
but, my SO still has his head :) -- lucky
da 4/6 - d+top card
then past thense the 4/5 for the 5
da 5/14 - "obsolete" - past tense of the da 4 /5 fruit
ty, knut
Hello,Knutmeg! (((((hug)))))))))
hi knutmeg! good to see you! ***Liv***
hi knut
