boker tov ARB!
Tom-hat? Hmmmm
ciao stid!
stid- I think you're secretly mass-producing a babble army so you can sit back and let them babble away while you cackle evilly in the background!
buon giorno star!
I seem to be repeating myself - duh
i drink unsweetened in the afternoon - also back in my old, old daysd as a COBOL programmer. the 4 food groups of data processors are: fat, sugar, salt & caffeine - & nicotine way back when. perfect food - chocolate covered pretzel.

*cackle cackle*
howdy, stid!
COBOL melon? are you THAT old?
lol leigh - lol stid - what a visual!

I turned 40 yesterday. Don't feel old, though. I have a body of about 100 years old, a mind of a teenager... so I guess I am somewhere in the middle :)
What are MJCL's?
lol andy -- I live on Salt Spring Island, so things are different here
happy happy birthday sprite! we are growing old together! (but I have more gray hair)

Happy birthday Sprite, you youngster
Happy Belated Birthday, Sprite!
MJCL = mochajavachocolatte... my invention

no -- did you see the ones I put in?
sprite & stid - you are babes! those ending-in-zero birthdays just keep getting better - so far anyway!
well - a very happy bit belated birthday to you sprite! as long as your mind is young, you're in good shape, they can replace most of those other parts :)
well we can try it :-) I had once raspberry syrup beer in Munich - I am ont kidding ok
*serves up MJCLs for everyone -- hot on the left, iced on the right*
Melon, I think you and I are of a generation.
who's 40? I double you next May <vbg>
Yes, I liked the ointment very much. I enjoy the fact that it comes in different sizes!
leigh -- looking at the store now. brb
my quip - after 40 your warranty runs out & you are responsible for your own parts & maintenance.
Actually, I am happy to be 40. Perhaps NOW someone will listen to me when I have something to say ;)
My mom is 42. Don't feel too bad.
I take off my hat to you Jill
Sprite- Don't expect it to be your kids. =P
((((jillibus)))) You are the best!
happy half-a birthday, sprite!
Hey, my kids are 10 and 8. THEY listen. Won't do that much longer though ;)
brava jilli! my mom taught me bridge.
Sorry, Sprite - the older you get, the less they listen!

Sorry, sorry!

Happy birthdays, Sprite and Stid, happy unbirthdays everyone else. Every age is beautiful--in its own way
actually, my kids listen best when I have laryngitis! LOL
owww! -
hi again hetty!
*lol*
Well, one thing for certain: I NEVER want to be a teenager again. That was a stressful age. I got the picture, Sue and stidmama. I will learn to yell hard, and if I really want to be heard, I will go back to a tiny whisper :)
I wish I could be a teen again, and that was only three years ago. I'd change some stuff.
:-) you got it, sprite!
Hi again stidmama sweetie. I'm going to bed now. Tomorrow ill be my last babble day for best part of a week. Dont worry about me though--I'll be in touch before your big trek north
good night hetty, I will see you tomorrow. sweet dreams!
leigh: and you would make beautiful new mistakes :)
Oh, happy birthday Stid too! It's my brother-in-law's 60th today, so that's my three birthdays.
Night hetty
good nite hetty
nighty-night, Hetty - a demain
Sprite- Maybe, but I wouldn't fool around in school.
it's not my birthday today -- last month. but it's close enough that I get to be older than sprite -- that month of which was probably the only time in my life I was "ahead" of her!
Tsssssss :P
Have a happy birthday for last month then, Stid!
=)
thanks Sue -- I have enjoyed the first month of 40!
hey stid you know that the old saying is the 20's are the dumbest part of our lives and 40's the most beautiful :-)
I hope you had fun fooling around at school, leigh, so no one can take that away from you. And I am sure you will learn what you need to know in your own good time :)
sorry leigh but 2026 you may thank me lol
i celebrated my 50th for - idon't know - 3 months maybe? rented a convertible, had a parrty, bought a bracelet - not in that order - each time, "well, it IS my 50th BD..."
That's the spirit, melon :D
Andy- I'll come here and look for you, to be sure!
oh andy, you say the nicest things!
well melon 8 years from now I'll do the same
Anyhow, I've learned my lessons. And I've also hit a wall tonight, so I will be off. Hopefully I can get some babble time in tomorrow morning and I'll be back again tomorrow night for sure. Happy Babbling, everyone! Don't forget to get your Babble Floaties! Don't want to get cramps or injuries...
leigh - I come to London often enough :-)
take care leoigh see you later
I learned quite a lot as a teen, most of it not in school though... i read books a lot back then (no internet, you know)
good night leigh, see you tomorrow
the convertible was a blast - a Mitsubishi Eclipse - drove it in New Mex visiting rellies - the Turquise Trail was a driver's dream.
stid I was reading 1-3 books a day in high school - same as you :-)
Night. =)
'nite leigh
I think this babblesite is one of the few places where you don't have to explain what books are, even to young people, stidmama ;)
tals
why do you speak in the past tense melon? did something happen to your car?
oops sorry
Ashpan should be a word, you know!
sprite u got it
Andy, please post valid words if you post words at all? LOL

I love my 16 year old Nissan Sentra 2-door sedan... It handles well and moves out when I need it -- but it needs a lot of work...

ok stid my manndarin is toast - Espanol? Deutsch?
Harbin
Or maybe Russian? LOL
ab 4/6? *rushes off to look*
ab = add a vowel then a consonent
Is that scottish or something?
Si, un poquito espanol, Deutsch, italiano, en peu francais... but very little of any of them any more...
OK - chat's starting to look like the leftovers of a scrabble game!
half way

thanks, Katrine925
thanks Katrine! that was a great clue!
Thanks katrine! Strange one :)
very nice kat ! thank you :)
I know, I know, I just monkey-typed it!
Thanks Katrine. I'm still on the an6
thanks Katrine!
an+ beginning of another word for ale or beer....starts with "el"
Sounds like a german word to me, that an6.
thanks Katrine...
then add another consonat for the 7...but not the plural letter...
I am so dense. I'm still thinking of another word for ale or beer.
Plural letter of Dutch or German, though.
Merk: for the beer, start with what we have here often, when the site is slow.
Merk think la***
It sounds like beer, but it is actually a boiological word....go figure....
Got it, thanks.
ac 5/12 please? I am going in order down the list and will stop when I have half the words...
PH8: city in PA part of name + what a doggie does at the table...another monkey-typed word....
an angel - but all mixed up
Beautiful cryptic clue, melon :D
wtg kat !! thanks again!
Melon, I love it!!! LMAO!!!
sorry, my daughter was me. but hi anyway.
57 stid - ac 5/12 - a guy who plays in the movies
tx - i'm a cryptic x-word fan.

Ph8 is a kilt. Wow, how do you monkeytype something like that?
tx again katrine - even my monkeys could not have found this!
yw stid
65 here...
62
I thought that "phila" just HAD to be part of a word...and went from there...it was too good a root word to pass up....
halfway!
taDah, mama!
Was Ca6/27-7/40 mentioned already?
OOps, I just realized what I did...time to go to bed....
Lol Katrine... sleep well!
so I think that means I demonstrate how non-addicated I am and log off .... *sob* will see you all in the morning. :-) thanks for all the help!
No, what are they?
good night Katrine!
Ca6-7 combo: leader of an Islamic polity + plural.
good nite katrine - thanks for the great clues!
'nite Katrine
night stid have a good sleep knowing you are ahead of me - 60 now here
Good night, my friend!
melon - that angel clue is making me crazy!
an+ abb for CA city + major electric co. abb.- try that helen
Took a while longer to get back from the hilarious BabbleStore than I expected. My 17-year-old lovely longhaired calico cat told me she hadn't had enough cuddling lately, being babble-deprived, so I had to have a timeout. She eventually got off my lap and gave me permission to resume, so here I am, with 19 words to my credit, alas.
yeah - you see my problem - i already have that word, lol !!!!!!!!
an6: an + when the site is slow + vowel
how do i get to Babble store?
Ahhh jilli, at least you have your priorities right :)
LOL, indeed!
*poof*
my cat bugs me if i play "nibbles" on my cellphone.
Go to Babblers Anonymous and Other Subjects, melon. There's a couple of pages of useful products, chuckle
be6/33: a guy with hungry eyes, or an alternative to "don't worry, b......."
halfway - mediocrity in just over an hour!
hmmm, new one for me sprite, ty :)
I tried it for fun, thinking if there could be a b..lady, this might work too.
hit 100 - going to call it a nite here
see you all later - have a great evening/night/day :)
nite, helen, me too at 60...
nite, all
bye lib :)
*poof*
Night, all you leavers :)
nite to the leavers from me too -- I gotta do some catchup!
re that be6/33 - I have a little stone in my garden with a frog on it, and it says "Don't worry, be hoppy"
LOL!
i like ketchup
or catsup?
fireworks for me. Any clues I can help with?
WOWIE SPRITE!!!
i'm clueless sprite or i would ask for some...nut told me about a real scary movie
good job sprite - I am too tired now and will go 2 bed soon
wowie, sprite! all that & time to chat! btw, i just contributed a produt to the Babble store.
Wouldn't have finished without the great clues, though. That Ph8 would never have worked for me.
Congrats on your new BabbleProduct, melon - must go and look at it but first must get a few words here. S[rite, I could use about 134 minus 19 clues, lol!
sprite - i just tooka closer look @ your icon _ & all this time i thought it was a bird's eye!
Hehehe... hardly!
lol jilli, that doesn't narrow it down ;)
Before you all go and I take the deep plunge, were any of you around earlier when there was a newbie from Japan trying to improve his English, doing fine, and getting wonderful help from the babblers? It was really inspiring.
ok 67 here adn can't keep my eyelids up - good night all
No, I missed that. Sounds good though - this is a great site and a good community.
nite andy
nite andy
Night andy, *hug*
i was here and they did quite well!
((REN)) ((Sprite))
Hey Angel :)
go see whats new on the resource guide community page....
angel!
Hi Angelsong - I have a question. Did you write your description of the site a while ago, and then a change took place? It seemed to me that things didn't quite match up...????
yes, there have been some changes. I edit when I have a chance, but I may be a little behind.
jilli: CL5/16 loud metallic sound CL7/40: a racket, lots of CL5s. Ar6/24: ar + ga4/6 (if you change the ending, you can find 3x6/24 and 1x 5/14 with this root)
I've tried to capture most of the changes on page 3 of the guide.
OK, then I wasn't hallucinating, lol!
OO. thx, sprite!
back to the chat -- hi all
I've got 20 to go -- debating between listing and sleeping....
tx sprite - one of those "root" clues was nearly an old fave video arcade game
but before I decide, can someone help me with the N from the bottom row?
CL5/14: collision, battle Insert a vowel for C6/24: light carriage with two or four low wheels and a collapsible top (or bonnet)
Help on the be?
nrkii: that N4 is really nothing.
could swear I tried that, thanks sprite
17 to go
oh that's my favorite band!
ARB: a guy with hungry eyes, or an alternative to "don't worry, b......"
Sprite: LOL on your N4 clue...
:)
Hello Everyone, i'm back. Wasn't this mornings puzzle a big challenge!!This one looks better!!How many words today??
TY Sprite. Help on the an 7 and an 5?

Jemma: 134 today

laial tov - the mornings have been too beautiful to miss.
Again ty. ga 6/30, ga 5/16 ga 6/27. I've tried what I think are al the combinations and can't come up with one.
Laila Tov Melon.
ga 6/30 - a party - get there!
ga6/30: ga + when the site is slow + vowel ga5/6 combo: party + consonant (and plural)
Hi jilli - yes I was here when the Japanese gal/guy? was in, a delightful person, hope will be back
nice one, melon! :)
i keep seeing "gas" and "beano" simultaneously
good clue melonhead!
ga 6 ends with the opposite of stop but I can't get to the last ga 5/14
Now I am wondering what a gas beano would look like.
that's the ga 6/30
it wouldn't be pretty, that's for sure
last ga5/14: see you later alli....
last ga 5/14 is a short name for a dangerous reptile (large) in florida (not a croc)
thanks sprite

hurshy, you might want the ph8 if you don't already have it -- it is utterly archaic and obscure
okey dokey, shoot :)
bye everyone
does it relate to phalanx?
for the ph see 2:19 etc
bye kat
bye
or philacteries maybe?
ok, i got this from someone else: first five letters of a city plus 'it b**s the question....'
hurshy, ph8 is a kilt in gaelic -- I know you won't need any more than that to find it lol
lol, no, i needed mab's clue. ty both though.
mab, you got it from me at 2:19 am
philacteries would be a great word -- a word I've never heard a Jew ever use.
t'fillin being the word that's used
thank you jili! :)
lovley word - don't tempt dr G - it's 12 letters!
I surely never would have monkey typed it.
the puzzles are computer generated...
no wonder the words are so weird
well the words...someone had to decide what words would count though the computer runs the dic now.
who's the someone who decides? There are lots of anomalies!
there's all kinds of hebrew or yiddish words that pop up, some accepted and some not. today we have a greek letter and a hebrew month, and lots of onomatopoeic words.
well i'm sure they decided a while ago and then just left it.
Is there a clue for be 6? I have wasted too much time on it. Plz.
rejoice and be6
ty, hursh
Dud! Thanks Hurshy. Hurshy to the rescue yet again!
thanks Hurshy

I am missing the da 4,7? Any clue plz.
Good morning all.
Jilibus, I missed your question while I muddled with the da. I am in Harbin.
Well, da** it, Merk, you finally answered my question!
I have a 4/7 that is a mild expletive, north american slang for 'damn'
Rhymes with cl5/16
I have that one, da** it. I need the da 4,7.
.. or there is the da4/7 that is a diparaging term for Italians Morning all
I have that da, too.

Oh that nasty one. Thanks FMitch.
We had that awhile back, too.
yw Merk
yes, thanks, FMitch
Good morning FMItch - how goes the grid, or have you finished?
Merk, I used to live in China - see profile - and we summered in Wehihaiwei, Tsingtao, etc (old transliteration)
Morning Haz, grid has warmed up a bit but I am finding it hard work, am at 91.
*Weihaiwei
I've a long way to go!
Ah, but you have only just started :)

Could somebody please briefly explain the tile stats: is it how many times that tile begins a word?
yes that is right crazy
thanks a bunch
yw, if you are new to the game have a look at Angelsongs link in friends of babble (below) lots of useful info
Cool I will go check it out
Clue plz for the final (I think) ta 4,4. I need one of the last two ta 4,4
I am only missing one word and it is the ta 4,4 near the bottom of Lickety's List. I have the one that rhymes with the building where farm animals are kept. I need the other one.
Merk - I don't have the list out yet, but could you be looking for one that describes a dessert, or a 'painted lady'
Or a flavour that is bitter.
Are you looking for the one that you use in the bathroom
Yes, I'm missing that one, but I'm blind. I'm not sure how to get it, but I'll search again. Thanks, Haz.
Use the t from the middle of the left column
Oh duh, I see it now. I swear it is always the short words that do me in and the friends that bail me out. I'm finished. I just have to type them in.
Well done Merk!
hi all, any clues for the 8's
hi haz

maltese
her name is baby and she is very very spoilt
She looks very young and pretty.

At 5 is to do with perfume. A---- of roses, Beaster.

My cat was living wild. It was five years before he discovered how to purr and he still won't be picked up. He's 9 now. So be patient with her, she'll come round, Rlee.

be6, clue from ealier rejoice and b***** . Think of it as 2 words but as this is babble it takes them as 1.
Thanks FMitch. I'd never have thought of that. Can't understand why the dictionary accepts these strange 2 words in one combos.

thanks hydra, any idea what it means
Beaster- click on the ? next to the word for the def.
It's an ancient name for a Scottish kilt.
I did that but it only gave an alternate spelling, FMitch, so I looked it up in Chambers.

good morning all. Feeling very American and dense (some woud find that redundant). Anyway, can't come up with the ending for that word which means to plead, and can only find the original spelling for the kilt, and the varaiants I've tried don't work and I haveno idea what Chambers is.

hey that word an 5/10 is a geek thing relating to time in a geek universe based on their time to earth time, yes its a rpg thing
this was my favorite pie always...preferred that to any cake on my birthday
friggen heck its a dragon world thing and i really should have got that one
opps dragon realm

Hi shutter
thanks amanda and mitch
hi annie and fmitch.
acas
ooops, sorry
oh boo. Enable is making up words again. If it can, we should be able to as well!
LOL
thats right, amanda.
well la de friggen da, its a time system based on another planet whos to say whats real and whats not. Dr god has been known to use yoni and twat which are one and the some thing. Dragon Realms is an rpg system that has been around for years
What is a RPG?
ok my mystick the word is turkish and it means agree with, rpg is role playing game and besides how to say that dr god didn't get it from either sorces the word is real
Hi Babblers :)
hi faeriekae!!!
morning faerie and all else
dr_g didnt personally decide the words, you know ...
Hi Annie how are you doing?
Yoni and twat are real words for real things that exist in the real world (and they're not the same thing). I think it would be great if RPG words were allowed, but if it won't take ents and misc. other Tolkien words, I find it improbable that it will take fantasy time systems. And DrG doesn't make the list.
hi feather!!!!
man, don't recognize myself again! lol
Where DOES the list come from?
Hi Faerie! How's it going?
Hi Feather
Hi Ata
the enable dictionary
Hi faerie, ata and feather
and hi :) I just waded right into the dscussion there!
matty, its the enble dictionary.
Hi Ata! Jump on in!
Amanda HI!! I'm doing great and getting really excited to be moving and I've got of packing out of the way
Where does the enable dictionary come from?
LOL...that one of your drawings Ata?
amand look up turkish translations i just saw it from dictionary.com, when you first google the word you get d.r. then further looking i found that its actually turkish with the accent at the bottom
yup! well a tiny wee bit of one
you are very talented
enable just is lol
bangs head on desk
matty, its somwhere on the internet, I'm not sure the site though.
http://www.bytefusion.com/products/op/ dm/enable.htm
Ata you icon is beautiful as is all your work:)
atalante, that is beautiful
I keep wanting placebo
hands Shadow a pillow - don't hurt yourself Hon.
Hi Atlante and faerie too
poor pooh didn't even make the puzzle
poor pooh didn't even make the puzzle
hi nut
im mean grr i just found the dratted word via dictionary .com
I FMitch I Nut !!!!!
Yes, Shadow - but foreign words aren't allowed either unless they have been assimilated into English *banging head as well*
its from this pic: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/22 246882/
Nope no Pooh is the puzzle
"The Enhanced North American Benchmark LExicon (ENABLE) is a word list of the English language containing over 172,000 entries, originally conceived as an authoritative reference guide for Scrabble (TM) players."
all right. done. thanks for the clues. and the great chat. any last hints before I go make breakfast for the Monster Baby and take the Monster Dog to commune with the grass?
amos online crossword dic also listed it
amanda, som e foreign words are allowes. the spanish word that means nothing is in here.
Oh - thanks guys!
The babble version is modified slightly. Some of the players persuaded Dr_God to add the word 'stent' to his version.
Why?
hello BJ
hello brandyjack!
but they are english words as well as foreign words ...
hello bj
Hi Brandy!
BJ - good to see you and thanks as ever for the list
yes, stent is a words. My grandmothere has one in here heart. I did not know that doctor god added it, though. I knew that before it wasnt allowed and now it is, so I thought that they must have updated the dictionary.
Alright, I'm not arguing about this any more.
arguing about what?
not worth it Amanda...we all know that enable has words missing, as well as dodgy words
Because it is a valid word and they pestered him beyond belief. It is not yet part of the enable lexicon though and the solvers I use to generate the stats don't recognize it either. Sometimes my stats are a bit out of whack if I'm not paying attention.
well you wanted your def you got it amanda if you had googled and further looked it would have saved you beign a tard
come on Shadow...I dont think its a word either, but hey I am not going to argue
name calling is uncalled for here
Glass houses, Shadow
stent IS a word. My grandmother had one in her heart!!!!!!!1
Ooh - I thought you did the stats by solving the Puzzle (seriously how DO you do it)?
OK Babblers REFRESH
they put it in because she had heart problems.
Hi BrandyJ :)
shadow, please do not use words like "tard". it is unfeeling to persons with developmental disabilities. i would appreciate that very much!!!
what's the caption faerie?
just say "CUT"
yes, please dont use that words. My brother does have a developmental dissability.
its very upsetting when people say that.
Oh it's the Day Elmer Fudd whacked Winnie the Pooh
f... me i mean really google words except and move on i mean i also seem to thnk that the usa alway has to be right
Oh boy, I love this discussion; I have written to Dr.G in the past, frustrated because I KNOW a word is good, but is not "in the dictionary" here.. The Scrabble Dictionary is a lot more inclusive than the Enable dictionary... so be it. Hi, BJ! Thanks for all your wonderful work..
A stent is a medical device that expands clogged arteries. As for the stats, I use a generator which solves for the entire list of words. I cut and paste that into a text file and let my own program sneer at it for a few seconds. The end result is a couple of files which I cut and paste onto Babblers Anonymous.
bye all.
gtgt now bye all.
you are losing it Shadow...let it be
I also have a sister who has mental disabilities
I'm off to church.
Bye Charm :)
Bye Shutterbug :)
Does anyone have the eights?
So Brandy, do you play babble? Surely you then know all the answers?
bye shutter
and charm
Bye shutter, bye Charm
bye shutter, charm
BJ nor Lickety have the words to the grids thier computers generate the word list for babble and that's it
That's kinda cool!
Hey Aloy - how are you today, beating the grid yet?
ur so do i and i thats what i get called suck it up move on go to mos online crossword dic theres a stack of meaning
ok off for a cuppa back later
back later
shadow wolf, maybe your cause would be helped if you spoke in english ...
Hi Aloy! Missed your entrance
Are you speaking English or some weird derivitive?
bye annie
bye Annie
later, Kallia and Annie
Howdy, FMitch.. have 20 left; how about you?
i unfocus my eyes and just concentrate on the shape of the list when cutting and pasting. Sometimes I'll see the first word and one of the last words. But it will usually be a few hours before I play and I'll forget them. The entire list does exist on my hard drive, but looking at it will be pointless. I hate the days when stent is included because then I have to go in and edit the primary list. Which means I see a lot of the words around stent.
hi to amanda, too.. I just slipped in from the shadows. (-:
Hi Annie, Aloyisius, brandyjack
Aloy 27 left here but keep getting sidetracked LOL
So is stent there?
yummy pie today, rumple..
Rump I see Pie
Coconut cream today!
not today. When stent is present the puzzle is usually over 300 words. I tend not to play those ones. Not enough time.
Yummmmmmmmm I love coconut cream pie!!!
Right - so stent is in Babble's list, but not Enable. Is that right. (Gosh, I've been playing for a while now, and there's so much I still don't know)
i speak perfect english but not when im flustered and jacked off with people and i meant go to amo dictionary and what i am saying is legit tec talk
back to the "gridstone"... I want to finish before the World Cup.. who's going to win?
I doubt that somehow.
Aoly given the choice I am backing France
was that at me matt
Aloy - which one are you going for, if any?
FMitch it is a tough choice/decision to make but you will know what is right for you.
matty its called leet speak / geek speak and plenty of chats use it so the bored don't get cloged up. Your 10 years older than me and my mother knows more tech talk
LOL faerie - hows things progressing now the ball is rolling?
ShadowWolf, please eighty six the drama already.
REFRESH again
I really don't have a preference; I just enjoy watching the performances of superior althletes in a very challenging game.. (-:
the bored? cloged? and we don't use leet here ...
wtf are u talking about samantha some of use are yanks
FM-my house looks like it was hit by a storm inside I've really been getting some packing done the past few days
Oooooooooooh..am laughing, guys..LOL
I suspect you must really struggle with Babble, as semi-literate spellings and 'leet' speak aren't in the grid.
Aloy In which case are you keeping an eye on Wimbledon Men's Final which is on now?
well gee basic tech already
LMAO..
though leet itself works ...
LOL.. can't see the telly from here..
Liana-Hi you be nice now. How are you feeling?
basic tech? what is that exactly?
yes what is basic tech?
I guess I had a heart attack on the 24th of June..wearing a holter monitor..and doc thinks I need a pacemaker..some more tests to go..other than that..am hunky dory..UGH
hey faeria tech abb for technical christ don't you people use online dictionarys or just your small minds
bifascicular blockage..a new word for boggle..LOL
what is basic technical then?
{{Liana}} that is what I though I had heard through the babblegrapevine and have been sending prayers your way.
and *that's* high tech liana!
Will Dr_God actually ban/delete just on the basis of too many gratuitous insults?
Shadow that really was not called for and I don't appreciate your speaking to me in that way
matty - I've just emailed you.
icky, Liana {{{{hugs}}}}
and i don't like stupid people so excuse me
Then maybe you need to go someone else and play
So why do you hang around here then shadow?
like you, you mean?
I appreciate all your kind thoughts and prayers..Now I have to scoot. I get all anxious when I think about it..xoxoxoxox to share, friends
Which addy?
Shadow, you have insulted us all again. You are not excused; you are simply rude.
bye, liana... take care!
I can Babble without insulting other players and I's appreciate it if you would just shut the hell up
Bye Liana that care Hon
the one I used to send you the lists a while back the aol one
bye liana
OK - bear with me.
np nothing urgent
I didn't realize that Shadow was a troll and I apoligize to all the players on line right now for my language
Well, Shadow
Shadow's not always like this
am faerie i am not a troll you dumb arse
what i was watching J.L.
I dunno what's gotten into him but I wish it would go away again!
faerie dont worry about it hon.
Jesus Shadow, take it somewhere else, like to a therapist
no im not always like this only when i get defencive and im not a male assumptions are bad
Well, that proves the troll theory. And Faerie, no need to excuse yourself.
Shadow stop the name calling and be quite or I'll contact Dr_G and you will not be Babbling do you understand me!
I don't think he's a troll. just annoying!
OK thas it - had enough. Shadow am going to report you to Dr_G, you can change you name again if he boots you off but we will know its you under another name cos you are so consistently rude
Thank you, faerie
I never cease to be amazed by the small-mindedness, stupidity and ignorance of people. I think that when people get on line, they assume they can say or do anything regardless of any consequences or hurt caused. Shadow, you are being described.
Samantha Thank You :)
ohh threats don't worry me and once again im not a male\
Matty to a Tee
and by the way matty im not small minded stupid or ignorant.
alcohol has a lot to do with it I think not that I am making excuses Shadow if female BTW
Well, I s'pose that "small minded" *can* describe a person who thinks that "leet" is "tech speak". Really, I'm still giggling over that.
HA! I needed a smile - thanks!
and i am not drinking
maybe it's just that time of month for you then ShadowWolf.... no offense to the other ladies in the room
:)
pot kettle black people
Shadow you really need to be quiet right now and stop talking. Your just digging your own grave right now dude.
You're not doing much to prove that you're none of those things, Shadow
well that makes a change shadow as you regularly announce to us how much of what you have been consuming
However, drunkeness can be cured by time. Borishness and stupidity are eternal.
Well, Shadow, I almost never participate in the chat, but you're making my morning grim- so I'm signing off until you are gone
oh amanda and who wanted what and got an answer and is now all upety, by the way ho hum i very rarely drink and matty im actually a lawyer so sorry whos stupid
Sidra please don't leave because of one Babbler :(
and the combination of the 3 is really quite - um -
anyway back to the grid at hand
lawyers can spell,shadow
HAHAHAAHA. Oh gosh. Stupid AND a liar. You've made my day.
Atalante! Stop engaging in stereotyping! (hee hee)
ROFL - a lawyer - I've worked for attorneys in the past they all know how to spell
ah pooooo, true! most lawyers can spell - except one
Isn't there a minimum age to pass the bar exam?
Faerie, thanks for sticking up for the rest of us. I am leaving until you know who is off. I hate conflicts like that. Hello and good bye
...or rather to take it?
rofl Amanda
nice to know what you think dickheads, as i said spelling in a little box is not my thing and i am over 30
A minimum IQ, I think you'll find.
Unfortunately, amanda, it's a minimum chronological age, not a minimum emotional age
opps wrong box 29
Don't go Inge
anyway as i said back to the grid
if spelling isn't your thing, why play a spelling game?
I can feel the heat generating through the log. Please could it stop - the world is having problems communicating and I would hope that we all here could master the skills of poitenes and curtesy.
Shadow you need to stop talking NOW!!!
Is there a way to report trolls?
Matty yes I've already reported Shadow to Dr_G
I've already emailed Dr_G matty
Yes, and faerie's already done it. Now we just wait for the good Doctor_God to become available
help on the last 2 al5/14 and al 6/24 please ;)
Cool - I'll do the same.
i haven't said a friggen word
Dax - greek letter(s)
oh way you lot amaze me im not a troll and im defending myself'
good. keep it that way and just enjoy the grid!
Shadow, when I signed on this morning you'd already called me a stupid dickhead. That's not "defense", that's "attack".
...or maybe there's some more al's, Dax - I haven't looked at the list yet
Good Lord. Why am I feeding the troll? I know better.
dax, think of the al*** and the omega...
Done!
1o al's
Its easily done Samantha, one gets sucked in sometimes
Bravo, matty!
I mean 10
DUH----- thanks.... aloyisius ;)
and sometimes one just has to stand up for sensible-ness!
what's going on over here people? Must be a full moon. I'm stuck with 90 words. Anyone clue the 7s?
Yay Matty! It certainly is, Mitch. I'm finding it difficult not to give in to temptation...
yw..
Not done with the puzzle, BTW - I sent a message to Doc.
Oh - but yay for that too.
I don't have a single seven :(
oh, ok matty..
Well Matty that means several of us have sent messages to DrG then LOL
I have 1-an 7
yes it is a full moon, i am wolf next question and helllo grace
That should prove that it isn't just one sensitive soul here. Fingers crossed. Still, the nice thing about all this is it makes the rest of us look civilised, intelligent and gentle.
i have the ca7/40 eastern potentates
7's: an = german word, pl of the an6; ca = easter potentate, pl of the ca6; cl = loud racket
ah got the ca7 thx!

BAARK referes to a troop of dogs trained to retrieve balls hit out of the Pacific Bell stadium and into the water.
sorry
I'll have to use these words more in conversation lol
ahem...BARK
yw
oh how COOL!! are you a BARKer?
no, but the dog the dog in their logo is a Portuguese Water Dog...and I own a PWD myself.
can't type...
sorry - am just being nosey :) doggie things are interesting
happy to share!
Now I'm looking for the AN6 that can be pluralized into the AN7, please? Or is it the one that was just clued and I'm missing it?
It was the one just clued - it's a German word - and so the plural is not formed in the usual way.
that was it, Sam
Aaaahhh, ty matty
And Amanda
need clue for al 5/10 please
It's a Greek letter
any good clues to the 8 letter words?
cloudy, windy... it must be summer in London... afternoon all :)
100 words...going to the list now!
Not so much good clues, because these aren't words as I know them--but the first five letters of the city of brotherly love + plead
Hey sherb, ditto here too
um still need a clue for al 5/10 not al5/14
hello, sherb..
gdtalker: as8 = maybe what grows on leftovers of fire?
Sherb How are you geting on with the grid? Oohh good cryptic clue there amanda
al5/10 = kind of like an ocean less a couple of letters here and there
hi sherb!
ty samantha...now i know how to ask for a little kilt if i need one on long island :)
wolf al plus insect
err
hey FMitch :) ...hello Aloyisius :) ...hi amandacath :)
sorry
I've learned a word to impress at my next RenFair
I think that's 'grrrr' shadowwolf. morning/afternoon all. :)

just starting again, FMitch... 97 left to find... listening to a bit of Maria Callas as I go...
please could I have a clue for na4,5
morning mab :)
true mab but it was on err as in drr don't get it but got it now so happy grr
it's nothing at all, ren8
(I find it best, after a while, to ignore boors - that's my recommendation)
For clues from me you'll get na**, ren!
nago
he apologized...
nope, not that one..
Hello! How is everyone this morning/afternoon/ evening?
sorry typed that in by mistake
He's apologized several times now--but without the flair (or the sincerity) of the original insults, and without bothering to explain what he's paologizing for, exactly
who's apologised? ...what did I miss?
cheers for the help all
hi katrine - morning here, and finding this puzzle as difficult as it was last night when I gave up and went to bed
Oh for pitty sack sam im not a male im a female i have the bits that make me so
Yes, plz tell us
You missed things that you are lucky to have missed, sherb
not much sherb check the chat (or cat)list
Matty, just found the as6 = sloped
Do you all have the 8's?
sherb - happy inspired babbling then!!
build a bridge get over it sam and if its too hot to build a bridge swim the river instead
Got it Amanda - thanks!
yw
Shadow, you are merely proving that the apologies aren't sincere and continuing to be rude. Please stop.
"He's apologized several times now--but without the flair (or the sincerity) of the original insults, and without bothering to explain what he's paologizing for, exactly"
Oooohhhhhh, Look, Shadow can cut and paste. How cute.
Hopefully Doc will deal with this. As I say, the best strategy is to ignore SW, just like one would a tantruming 3 year old. If people like that are ignored, they don't get the attention they so crave, and so eventually cease.
and what i just typed from you sam isn't rude considering i have stated many times that i am female, it goes to show that you don't want to accept that and matty i was being quiet
Oh how I wish matty!!!!
can I face going back in the chat log? ...not right now... *carries on babbling*... Callas sings Michiamo Mimi...
how is it I'm missing a ba4? the first ba 4 and 5 actually...
and i accidently hit enter before i had a chance to fix and edit what i was typing and ive not said much
.. in the last 30 seconds?
grace - Old Testament deity
got em thx!
i apoligised that lead to others attacking me so im going back to the grid, ho i asked for a friggen clue answer not a bloody attack
Shhh, all.
Remember guys - ignore the toddler having a tantrum in the cafe (as it were) - just ignore it - give the toddler a time out, and perhaps s/he'll behave.
Ooohhh, this is just getting too, too funny :D
f##k me matty you are so rude its not funny. I asked for an answer not an attack.
anyone have the be6?
and once again i am a female
(heh)
that's a wierd one, Grace. panhandle + boy
*snicker*
cool thx!
hi Layne :) ...I just learnt two new words... zydeco and nutria...
Hello, sherb. Good words, both!
We have another, a favorite of mine: ouaouaron. It means bullfrog.
Hello again- do you folks need any words? The8's?
You didn't know ZYDECO before?
Get thee to a decent radio station, STAT!
um grace be 6/33 add another bit to be that means happy
zydeco was in the grind once sherb and luckily Layne was on at the time and clued it. I then had to go and find some audio on the internet to hear what it was!
no Sam, ashamed to say I didn't... not a lot of it in the UK...
I'll take the 8's please :)
a clue for la5,14 please
You funny furriners with your furrin ways. *sigh*
what's zydeco??!!
and nutria sounded like a chocolate spread... how wrong I was...
sherb - google it and you will smike Ata - its music
Zydeco is a style of music, popularized in Louisiana and popular among the Cajun set
FMitch, did you like it? It's great for dancing, and there's a whole sub-culture here devoted to it. Fun!
cajun music
*smile
ooooooooo. will remember that one now!
Layne - loved it!!!!!
Faerie, as8 = what grows on remnants of fire? ph8 = love to panhandle?
Amanda THANKYOU I have them both now :)
OK, what the HECK does that ph word REALLY mean? That is one silly word!
K, faerie, they're really weird. The first is two words put together: what comes from a burned cigarette AS8+ green, growing thing- the second is the start of a city in PA- + what a doggie does at the dinner table- bad manners! Hope these help!
Great clue, by the way.
la5.14, ren.. not little
You're welcome. It's a kilt, matty, believe it or not
I tuned into a zydeco radio station and was facinated to listen to it and the music
It's a kilt, matty! It's in the dictionary, actually
cheer Aloyisius, youv'e been very helpful this afternoon
Sorry, I was too late to help....
any ole time.. (-:
Glad to hear it, FMitch. We live in a place where lots of music is invented, and I think this is one of the best. Actually, it's different from the Cajun music we refer to as "chanky-chank." Zydeco comes from the Creole (French-speaking black folks, usually from rural areas) community.
Layne, do you live near N.O? I do...
you guys rock
Hi Katrine925! I live in Lafayette. Where are you in N.O.?
Well...so if I ever have occasion to wear a kilt, I shall proudly announce I am wearing a ph8/70
I am over the border in Ocean Springs, Misissippi- was hit by Katrina- were you?
Layne - you can tell that it is the music in its raw state, it really conveys that.
And I LOVE Zydeco!
Katrine925, so sorry to hear that. Lafayette felt both storms, but was not devastated by either. So we were able to take in folks from both storms into our community shelter.
FMitch, it is raw and immediate. And often humorous in its lyrics.
i'm not too impressed with a 4,6 i wonder how people in the states would be if the word ni***r was used as a word
Ocean Springs took a big hit, no?
I'm going to have to go and discover this music now!
That was a wonderful thing you folks did for all concerned. I am ever so grateful for all the assistance I have received from people....
Please do, Atalante!
Yes, Ocean Springs was nearly wiped out, but there is a sign in the Commons that says, "We're back on our feet!"
Katrine925, how are things there now?
Katrine, what is your situation now re: Katrina. hope you have recovered.
Ata - as soon as you hear it, it will make you smile.
zydeco is foot stomping, dancing music
Misu, it is a valid word for the game. The 'N' word that is....
It's an ugly word, Misu, but it's not alone on the list of accepted ones - the n-word is taken too, if it's in the grid. There's another ugly one for Italians today, too
I love that spirit that is evident in the wake of the hurricanes!
I still have NOT gotten repairs to my house- the mortgage co. is holding our insurance check hostage....it's compplicated, but we have a blue roof still... but at least we can live in our house!
can anyone clue the ta5/14 (not the dance)?
Oh, Katrine925, I'm so sorry to hear that. The stories that have come out about how the insurance companies have abused people are horrible. It makes my blood boil. Good luck to you!
Have to go feed my bottle calf. Back in a sec.
glad you can live in your own house but the redtape is disgusting. hope it will all be a memory soon.
I was blown away by all the love that poured in from all over the country! It was amazing!
misu its a word and its context in how its used makes it offence, to call an item that is a lot different from calling a person which is wrong
We felt the same here, Katrine925. The people who just filled up their cars with tools and food and tents and came down to help.
another wierd one, Grace. It's an archaic shield or buckler. Rhymes with a kind of boat
Ty all for your concern- we really are doing okay- as long as another hurricane doesn't come before the roof gets fixed! LOL
And weren't turned away at the border by the federal gov't :(
oh, Samantha, that's HORRIBLE!!!!
Keep your fingers crossed -- as the whole Gulf coast is doing.
It happened. That situation went FUBAR fast
My fingers AND toes are crossed!
for the ta 5/14, it's what you shoot at (bullseye), miuns the last leter. Think it is actually a kind of antelope.
Fingers crossed and positive thoughts from over here to you!!
For real,Samantha. For real.
ah that did it brandyjack...thx!
ty, BJ.. I needed that!
Ty, FMItch! Hope you don't have another hot, hot summer!
Ah, that's the shield one. Should have known that. So it really is what you shoot at.....
Thanks so much, Brandyjack
7 words left!
Now: clues. Anyone want one before I go?
ga6/27 or ga6/30 anyone?
Go, Grace, Go!
gahh, its 1am.. i need beddybyes.. night all
Aloy - think I am chatting too much still got 27 to find. Must go and find them!!

heehee.. notice I have been quiet, FMitch.. 2 to go here!
Bye Layne!

(-:
grace - the ga6/27= aussie parrots (hello google!); ga6/30 = fete + don't stop?
BTW that is a term of endearment
TY, Layne! Bye! ga words both start with same 3 letters....one is a girl+ long, long ***----the other is a girl + oohs and ***
ty, FMitch..
ok got the ga6/30 !

yw!
And today's phantom words are: asphalt, placebo, and grotto
can't believe the ga 5/14 was stumping me, as we have so many of them in Florida!

ca5/18: rhymes with the shiny shield that a policeman wears on his shirt
Probably fell asleep after his/her tantrum.
cool beans! 2 words to go!
I just can't handle someone who just wants to make things miserable for everyone around them
Oooh - like can I ca5/18 a hint!

Bye Annie enjoy the movie I've heard that it is great

Amanda I think we have been dealing with a child
Not to mention the age, profession and IQ...LOL
Yay for everybody's who's finished
ROFL age and IQ are likely the same
HA!
I was doing my the old fashioned way before Dr_G's which BTW if anyone is interested in MrPresident from Aus got him to build into the new site.
Yes, well - those went without saying, didn't it?
i missed the original exchange but it sure seems to have caused a great twisting of the communal knickers
*they
I can't be the only one who has tried to enter algebra
Be glad you missed it Bonkler
Afternoon, everyone!!!!
Nope, you're not Wren
{{{MovieMan}}}

Harp Hi!!!
Bonkler what is your icon?
Must remember, then to thank Mr. P... see you all tomorrow, hopefully the ambience will be a bit lighter.. bye for now.. good luck, FMitch.. stick to the "gridstone".. I know, its SO much fun to chat!
Hi MM and bonkler - it really was quite superfluous, bonkler

Woohoo amanda!!!!
CONGRATULATIONS AMANDA!!!!!!
Katrine, are you Jian's daughter? I know she's also from Ocean Springs and she said her daughter got her hooked, if I remember correctly...
...or was it the other way around?
A clue for the top row 'r' plz?
Galactor must be the name of some evil emperor in sci-fi somewhere!
MM - wicker furniture
phantom is bacon. hungry now :-(
This is probably staring me in the face, but can anyone help with the da5/12?
Battlestar Gallactica...
Ata - start designing the comic book now!!!

Crikey, like I can remember that far back LOL!
Italian for palm fruits?
LOL
Need help now with the 2nd row 'a', can't get any of them.....
too late for the comic book - it's already there. Science Ninja Team Gatchaman - really! I googled it!
Italian for palm fruits - is that my clue?
what does Galactor look like then??!!!
yes, it is Matty. I didn't google the pic - will do now
movieman, I'm just starting that row, al4/6 grows in ponds and fishbowls
ummmm, he sort of looks like Batman with big ears
Looks like I'll have to come back to that one - but I'm really stuck on that - there are only a limited number of letters that can be used. *sigh*. I feel as stupid as a toddler throwing a tantrum.
Hello, everyone? How's the grid?
the ar's are all the same one with diff endings
Hi Jaia! It's a nice one today
Hi Jai :)
matty - go up from the d then down
Hi, faerie! How are you?
I could use clues for the "an 6" please
go Galactor! Lord of the Big Ears!

Gosh, I could have SWORN I'd tried that LOL.
Matty, I've been reading the log. No tantrums allowed

ooohh! did I miss a ruckus?
the a's are killing ,e
I mean killing me
The OT is killing me now...
thank goodness for that!
Think I'll sign off, all. Good timing, Kallia. It seems our 30-year-old female lawyer has gone off to work on some briefings or something equally academic...
ar family: ar 5/14 ar+ anpther name for "girl"; 2. 6/24 add the first vowel to that; 3. 6/34 take off that vowel, exchange it for the third vowel; 4. plural 5/14 . Hope this helps someone!
66 words are killing me!
ot - think of a wonderful swimming mammal but sp it a bit dif
don't you worry harp, i'll start throwing insults around soon ;-)
Huh? do |I need to read the log?
thanks jai, i didn't know any of those words
bye amanda
bonk, lucky me~!
Got it - thanks (how do I miss these). I have a lemon under my chin. It's a cold lemon.
thanks jai!!!
we don't need any more obnoxious lawyers in this world
Gl4/7 to have helped! Be6/33 now!
The REAL lawyers I know are quite nice. That's another of the giveaways...
Excellent ar clues. Thank you. :)
Did you go away before s/he made those claims? S/he did, s/he did!
Matty, umm, why do you have a cold lemon under your chim?
(Be 6/33 adds gl 4/7 to it to finish)
oh ...the same one? Yes I went when it started
Ty, WordsRock! :o))))
as 8? Are we all wearing cold lemons today?
Yep, the same one. Now I really am off. Bye all - happy babbling!
cigarette as*+ green growing thing
bye again :)
Not any more. My daughter has relieved me of the cold lemon.
Bye, Kalia!
thanks, I got a pl out of the clue too!

Congrats rump!
well done rumps
Yay! Rumple!! Congrats on a fine finish....now you can give clues and I am going to retire....LOL
PH5/18 anyone (18 to go...)
Would love to stay around & give clues but I have to go to Machine Embroidery class this afternoon. Have a new Husqvarna SE and it is driving me nuts, all hooked up to laptop, etc.
hi jai! missed you lately, where've you been?
Wow, way cool! Have fun!
Like a p*** in a book, only add the h as the second letter
Hiya, feather! Been feeling poorly lately- also had a run-in with a fellow Babbler so have been laying low....
ahh, ok, i was wondering!
It was awful....
oh no!
That's too bad jaianniah, this should be a friendly list and no bad babblers.
Oooh - I should have got that Rumple, it's the name of a Voyager episode...
Oh, yeah, scary, too- people were chatting on MSN while Babling and laying plots....I thought I was a paranoid schizo or something....
really? weird
lol matty as soon as you asked for a ph5 i saw it. voyager learned me up a real good word!
Yes, it's true. so I have been quiet and hiding....I guess they didn't like my "lists" or soemthing....
Naughty, naughty, no pie for them!!!
I really do know how to spell, BTW LOL
and rumple, what kind of pie is that?
lol jai
{{{{{jaianniah}}}}}
oh yeah -- hi all! :-)
hey stid!
It's soooo nice to talk to you all again....
(((((((((stidmama!!!!))))))))))))))
That was a pretty good episode, too. The Vidiians are GROSS.
well, just know that i did notice you were gone! right stid?
hi feather! how was bunco? did Daniel behave?
Hey Jai!
jai you've always seemed like an exemplary babbler to me. babble is a microculture unto itself. some good and some bad.
he was very good! and once he went to bed, slept right through it all too!
she sure did, jai! she asked after you several times (persistent, that one!) and kept after us for news...
it was great, but sadly, yet again, i didn't win a prize!
Hey, Matty!
Any clue on the ph8,70?
Why, Thank you, Bonkler! <teary-eyed>
welllll, persistent, nosy, annoying....take your pick!
Like any community, and especially like any online community, things can get silly and trollish here, as people forget that words can wound (or simply irritate) even when typed (and even when typed badly).
oh feather -- well, you certainly deserve a prize for all the work you did to host the event...
ph8 start of a city in PA + what doggies do at the diner table- bad manners
*idea* hands feather a huge bouquet of dahlias --
whew, don't i know it! i'm so glad to just relax today. awwww, they're beautiful!
I think the ph word is a kind of kilt...
hey jai..just remember some people take life to serious and do not know how to have fun.
rumple, if you are still there, you should know that I am so jealous of your sewing machine. I was dreaming last night of one that would even do buttonholes...
Thanks for the ph clue. :)
Ty, renfield, ty!!! You all are really making things feel better for me!
rassafrassa just noticed the clock. back later folks.
renfield, your profile is just TOO funny! bye bonkler!
Yw, WordsRock!
later bonk
Nye, Bonk, and thanks!
Whew. A minute ago, the clock told me I had less than 1 minute left...
Freaky!
BE6/33 that it was not true!

teehee.....
Oh, ren, that is funny! ROFL!!!

Me, too! IT's backwards, I think tht is the problem....
Jai and her famous typpos....LOL
Heather does upstate mean Albany? I was originally from the forgotten part of NY State!!

hi stid an + spabnish female plural - .like in *** vegas or so
I am down to 50 words, and going to take a quick break in the garden before continuing...
feather I just saw your message about settling down with lickety.....my mind went haywire for a moment LOLOL
{{andy}} what are you doing here this time of day? couldn't sleep? LOL
Just got up :-) and before my brain wakes up and I can work I need to babble :-)
7 left - all t words.
me too -- a shot of coffee and a babble hit, and I can face my day.... (isn't that sad?)
go matty go!
nope stid except I don't drink cofee milk and tea here
tea is good too... :-) Tom won't drink coffee, says it's nasty.
Five word, and now I have my daughter helping...
I used to drink cofee to wake my brain cells but as I don't have any left who needs cofee ;-) I still enjoy it 1-2x a month
I am not getting my dahlias trimmed back... oh well. They'll keep for a bit.
***FIREWORKS***
I sometimes go months without any coffee -- I drink weak tea throughout the day while I work. But right now I have a lovely "white mocha" mix from Ghiradelli that I enjoy, so am taking full advantage. One cup a day.
YAY matty!
mmm white mocca (secretly considering to sneak out to *$ to get one )
great Matty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOL andy... have an MJCL instead -- I have some decaf lying around here somewhere!
Right, I'm off - any clues before I go?
I am having white milk right now
matty, I could use the be 6/33 and the AS 6/18 please.
I like milk with some sugar and almond flavor in it... or on hot summer days, the caribbean style rice milk with cinnamon in it.
stid be 6/33 is be + 4 letterstandalone word for being happy, satiusfied ****
If I tell you to be happy, I might say be ****. Like I'm **** to see you, and I'm **** to help. So it's be****
as 6/18 as + consonant + small insect (plural of which is in hte puzzle)
And the as6/18 - if something is crooked or on an incline, it would be as****
thanks andy and matty!
you two are sharing brain waves... LOL. got them both!
yw stid (off to kitchen to get more milk) brb
okay, I really am going to go get those dahlias trimmed back now. See you all later!
Byesie bye! Have a nice evening everyone!
Se you matty - fun and games!!!!
Yep - it's been...entertaining, in a perverse kind of way...

I have a custom of doing a movie review with my children. I ask them if the movie was well-made, to which they usually reply yes. I then ask them what the messages of the movie were. My children generally moan and squirm on being asked such a question
I mention this because ch1212 is off to see Dead Man's Chest
not a bad custom, Douglas
if anyone is interested - I put up a composite photo of where I live (or down the road from where I live) here: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/36 030615/ so pretty!

same film
The full title of the movie is "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest"
I can say this because it isn't a spoiler...The message of the movie is "We double-dog dare ya not to see the third movie!"
That explains it. I'm not keen on going to the cinema to see films, mainly because they insist on having the volume up so loud!
