Hi Jilli
can I help anyone with a clue before I drift into the night and the practicing of Morse Code?
what do the 6's start with Metal??
ta, to, un, zo
thanks m'dear!
you are most welcome
I'd like some help with ta 6/21 please
:)
if I might ask, are you stitching anything special at present Flask?
kk, that ta relates to the acid in tea, and/or an acid used to cure leather
am just finishing of a cushion I have been at for ages.........
back - anyone need clues yet?
and I'm wondering about the to6...
wb saph
Thanks Metal.
to 6 - 2000 lb & allow
the to6 is also called a lamboy
yvw kk
ty saph - strange one (to me)

fl 5/20?
te 5/12 plural form of roof-like structure
that would be a wonderful idea Ata
Good idea Atal......I loved yesterdays theme.......we just don't appreciate our art enough!
That would be fun Ata, I have 5 sitting waiting for my attention. Since I stated working for myself such things went out the window.
fl5/20 think of birds on the wing... birds in ***** and vary the spelling
same here FM! I buy cross-stitch patterns, fully intending to do them, and just create a bigger nad bigger pile ready to sew
and I loved yesterday's theme too. I can't quite tear myself away from my Rossetti pic yet
I've so many UFO's waiting for me I've stopped counting... I just dig through the lot until I find one which strikes my fancy and stitch on it for a while
good clues metal...
ty kk
I did an embriodery guild summer schol a few years ago and now make my own pics but also still love the traditional cross stitch
Hey!!...Ditto Metal.......I have a bagful of stuff needing finished off.....lolol
I"m itching to learn temari. does anyone here do that?
still lost te 5/12
I'd love to make x-stitch patterns / kits of some of my own designs, but I don't really have the expertise to do it
sure you do Ata... start with small or simple projects and work them out on graph paper...
then, build up
Mine are more free stye Ata - using dyes and applique and embriodery.
Well Atal......I think if you have the inspiration....then the rest comes naturally!
te5/12 te + abbrev. for Civilan Transit Authority
simple? simple? what's simple, precious??!

I'd love to see some if you get the time and inclination!
metal - what is temari?
i have ta6, to6, zo6, whats the other 6 word?
it's a bit difficult to describe... thread wrapped around a ball in geometric patterns... it started out as a way to make toys to amuse children, using scraps of kimonos and has evolved from there... here's a link:
http://www.temarikai.com/
un6/24
un6
back in a bit... going to post some recipes
thanks for the link nmetal, will have a look in a while.
oh *wow*!
a clue please for ta6 please?
Metal I love recipes.....anything I might like???
Hi Flask - ta6 found in tea, form of acid
un6/24???
Hi Mitch...yes I saw that clue a while ago......doesn't help me much tho'....
Lay in the sun to get a t** + to steal or n**k something
Thanks Mitch....yer a star!!
yw Flask
good morning everybody:)
i'm still looking for un 6/24 can anyone help?
smudge - un + offi**** document. Morning jean
thanks mitch
need only one ta 6
Morning all - popped in for a few minutes to make a start. I see we have avid stitchers in our midst.
morning candy
Hi Candy - are you one too?
FMitch - have you ever been to the exhibition in the NEC in Birmingham?
I certainly am!!
Oh yes I have candy - talk about overload of wonderful things!!!!!
ta 6 ..... lie in the sun and a screen name, moniker, and the like .... or n** at night
I would love to go but it is always on in November - the busiest month of my year. I went to one in Belfast this year though
I find the one at the NEC is a bit too much and that there are may equally good, slightly smaller events around the UK
Maybe some year I will be well enough organised to go - as a special treat.
tks allflesh but lost still ta 6
to brown in the sun and the first three letters of actor nolte's name
Got It! Tks 1st puzzle I ever completed (only playing 2 weeks)
Yea, you!
nite all
Congrats petgirl!!!
wtg petgirl662 1st of many i hope for you:)
finished in 30mins quickest grid yet
Good morning all. I wondered why I was coming out in a rash, then read back in the log to realise you were talking about needlework. I'm severely allergic.
good morning haz:)
wtg rosalind
Well, this is a bit of a change - a teeny grid....
Morning and lol Haz
And what a fun z word!
I loved the z too, by jove
That was the 1st word I found, great way to start.
If I had a moustache, I would be twirling it!
me too, FMitch!
If you had a moustache I think Sam should be very worried
Not just him!
Morning to all who arrived in my absence there....
Good morning Flask.
Hello everyone!!
hi mrp!
Hi MrP!
nice little iddy biddy griddy!!
Hello mrpresident!
Morning to all those just arrived - mind that rash Haz - the stitching is as addictive as babble.
cute flower, mrp - lol
good morning mrpresident:)
the cutest flower I could find!! Hi jean and jilli and candy and flask et al!
and Haz!!! I missed seeing you there buddy!! sorry
I blame the rash on my needlework teachers at school. The number of times my attempts were ripped out....
It's okay mrpresident!
oh I like your flower jilli!
Ahh, my needlework teacher Miss Fro - "Girls, where are your thimbles?"
It was an early form of torture for me. I did overcome the phobia as far as knitting was concerned, but needlework still consists of stitching the stuffing in the Christmas turkey.
thanks, mrp -- and fireworks!
yay jilli!
wtg jillibus
same for me, Haz. I loathed needlework at school. But we didn't do cross-stitch at school, so that didn't get included in the hatred!
Congratulations jillibus!
and so to bed, wondering what I'll do tomorrow!
Do they still do needlework at school?
thanks, all
Nite Jili
Probably not candy nordomestic science either I should guess. Congrats and Night jilli
Not really, candy, at least not here. My girls were never introduced to the joys of embroidery stitches and gingham aprons.
they do at my kids school, they make needlework bookmarks
they do in at least some schools
I'm sure the teachers are kinder now.
I haven't heard any of my 'little' friends mention it
Haz - I believe your daughter is in my local primary school - well done to her - sometimes placements don't happen that quickly
refresh
I am teaching Maddison to knit... she loves it! and they do french knitting at school (whatever that is)
Yes, candy - she was very fortunate in that she had left her CV in and the school contacted her regarding the maternity leave that was coming available. She is enjoying it and is full of stories about the children.
Not too far from home either.
Thats good news Haz, sounds like things are going well for her
She's enjoying home comforts! She's pretty happy at the minute. Her first pay should be coming in soon.....
a clue please for do5
a clue please for do5
do5/12 - a female name as in Miss Summers
cheers Haz!
You're welcome!
morning all, stuck on 3 du5/16, du4/7 and na5/12 help please/thanks
du5/16 relating to a duchess's husband
du4/7 a bath mate, rubber du** spelt diff

TY Mrp hoping my looks will be even better after the hairdresser! LOL Haz, life here is rarely dull.!
Smudge do you have the floor coverings?
smudge, intricate netting, floor covering, waterfall pool
hi metal leather - will have a look at the recipes later, haven't had much time to browse in babanon lately.
it sounds as if you don't... windows, hairdressers and all the rest of life... :o)
Thanks Mr P
And that's before the grandchildren arrive and she has to do Rainbows!
LOL I do et some breaks in beteen - but not many -not working is exhausing!
ok, time to hit the toad.... kids need dinner and I ain't cooking!!
OH my typing - perhaps I could fit in a course somewhere!
LOL mrp -cruelty to animals! LOL
Hit the toad? You can't mean our dear Lickety?
cruelty to amphibians MrP!!!!!
our typing isn't so different!!!
thetheme for this week's contributions to gustatory e-clutter proliferation is spice mixes and today's in particular is A Mix and Match Fresh General Use Bouquet Garni through Buttery Chili Popcorn Seasnoning
that sounds.... interesting!! were do I get it!!??
the seasoning?
WOW metal -too early in the morning for me to even think culinary matters! Sounds interesting tho'
I posted recipes on BabAnon
hiya all. tried to go to sleep early tonight but woke back up
metal, are you familiar with Penzey's Spices?
hello Ornith
hiya Ornith
not at all, but it does sound interesting
hmmmm, what do you guys feel like! Indian or Thai ?
Definately Indian MrP
talking food - where is Dachef lately - his restaurant is in the grid today!
ooh, they're this really good spice company, they have lots of good spice mixes. Not really any more expensive than what you get at the grocery store, and they put recipes in their catalog, put free samples in the boxes (full 1oz ones!), stuff like that
I can't make a decision in home delivery... !! come on guys!! help!!
i vote for Thai!
http://www.penzeys.com/ ... they have stores too, which are awesome if one is near you. smells sooooo good
Well I'd go Thai - butlove both mrp
ooooooh, sounds great
i vote Thai also
one vote on indian (thanks fmitch) three votes on thai (thanks Fran and snowy and ornith)
hi everybody!
Vietnamese
hiya FranMag
no vietnamese around here metal!
hey ml!
Chinese, but please, no prawns.
here either, but I do love it
morning franmag:)
hi haz!
Hi FranMag
hi jean!
Good morning FranMag!
hi snowy!
and Haz thows in the chinese card!!!
Oh Haz- -thats me too! Chinese is my favourite of all!
Oh yum yum, I am getting really hungry
Just to confuse you even more!
just starting now, how is/was the grid?
Hi Fran, it is a typical small one with good words tucked away
Speaking of spices, icon'd!<--
I'm still working through it, FranMag - 19 to go. If the e would shift places with the f we could get somewhere.
have a good day everybody bbl :)
now that's a good idea Haz... some hot and sour soup, general Tsao's chicken or Szechuan Beef with extra peppers
hi fmitch!
very nice ornith!!
bye for now jean
bye jean!
and if that top t were an m we could have cinnamon!
Good one Orinth
Oh yum metal or some duck & pancakes!
mmm.... peking duck is yummy!
peking duck!!!
nice ornith, had a feeling it was saffron
Shrimp Dumplings and Snow Peas
or Pork Dumplings with Scallions and Carrots in Garlic Sauce
thanks all. figured as long as we were on the topic, might as well use the idea
ooh, I like the Z word tonight
HE wants thai... :(
Ornith, I've been meaning to ask about your nick... is it Pernese?
Well, HE does do our clues for us every day, so I'd go along with him...
oh, no metal, it's short for ornithopter
ahh, just wondered if there was another McCaffrey fan around
Used to be one. Kinda ran out of books sometime in high school
I've been thinking about going back and rereading some
and perhaps some of the Marion Zimmer Bradley books as well
I have a feeling a lot of those books are a lot better when you're in high school than if you reread them again later
ok, I have ordered..... Fish Cakes BBQ Octopus Green Curry Chicken Peanut Sauce Chicken Wok Stirfry w Bok Choy, Chinese Cabbage & Broccoli, Mushroom and Baby Corn Duck Chilli w Basil Snow Peas, Capsicum, Mushroon and Basil Leaves
probably so, but it's been so long since I've read them I kind of miss the old familiar ones... just as I do my CJ Cherryh juvenile faves
mmmmmm....peanut sauce
And what will you get for Lickety?
sounds good mrp!
LOL
sounds good mr p, with the possible exception of the octopus
haha Haz!! All his I am afraid!
(not fond of barbecued things)
lol, ML i was going to say pass the octopus!
Well, just remember, you could be cooking instead, so grin and bear it!
{{{grinning}}} :))
cooking's fun... it's clean-up that needs to be abolished
very true ML!
hear hear, metal! Also the chopping bit needs to be lots faster
I agree Ornith... it's never as easy for me as it is for Emeril or Rachel or Mario
well, part of it is having really sharp knives. makes all the difference in the world.
but I think they teach them how to do it at cooking school... when I try to mince stuff it goes all over the plce
true
er, place
I end up with big hunks of things...
how are there that many words that start with w+consonant!?
Use the sometimes vowel.
it's the con. that is "sometimes a vowel"
oh, I figured that, but even so.
It is a little mind boggling isn't it Ornith
although actually this one isn't as bad as I keep thinking it is, I'm halfway already.
I"m off to go practice code a while, be back later on
later ML!
have fun metal
Yipee! I finally completed one :-D
yay jimmack!!!
grats jimmack
Woohoo jim
Thanx :-)
Any Edinburgh visitors will recognise wy4/11 and wy5/24 and ER fans will know Mr Wy4/10
haz, thanks for the wy4/11 and wy5/24, there are also two that sound like a victory
(and victories)
And the remaining sy4/10 looks like it would appear on a mediaeval painter's colour card.
wy4/10 that should be.
Time for me to be off. Happy Babbling and enjoy the day.
bye fmitch!
seeya Fmitch
Bye FMitch - I'll head off shortly as well.
hi everyone, much smaller grid today, but how difficult is it?
easier than it looks, but that's not saying much
Hello Pappou - it's not too bad, more normal words than you might expect combined with a few head-scratch-worthy ones.
I can see that right away with the ac4
ah, found it
hi penny!
Morning everyone - and a lovely sunny warm morning it is. Clue for du4.7 please?
Hi jfb
Sory - had to go quickly -hairdresser arrived - am newly shorn & it is now time for a shower. New windows look great. Off to shop next see you aall later -happy babbling
bye snowy!
hi jfb! don't have that yet
jfb, ummm.... rhymes with a woman's name.
unfortunately the dictionary doesn't have a meaning for it!
du plus I live in the country not a __ty
have it now, du + anagram of frozen water minus the e
Not a bad grid - with a combination of some obvious ones, monkeying, guessing and a lot of help from the chat log I'm down to 12 to get.
it probably has something to do with the du5/16, same root i'm thinking
The du5/16 is quite noble in its association.
good evening eveyone, such a small grid after the last few
Thanks FranMag - a satisfying number of grey boxes now.
Hello Andree - yes, a bit of a change.
nice flowers haz!
anyone got a clue for the z?
Thank you - taken last year at Belfast rose trials.
hi andree, a nice treat especially since I'm going to be busy all day
yw jfb, hi andree!
not me ragalla! hi!
not there yet
Think swash-bucling films Ragalla - rhymes with a word for dogs
Ragalla - it's an old fashioned exclamation. If it started with h, it would relate to dogs, if it started with s it would relate to noise
thanks jfb!
and i am babysitting 2x2 year old grandchildren tomorrow so maybe finish tonight
ragalla, shakespearean curse... short for God's w*****
thanks haz and jfb
thanks, haz, great clue
yw Ragalla
You're welcome!
Andree - are the grandchildren twins or just similarly aged cousins?
I'm having difficulty with the li's - only got the last one.
li4/4 and 5/10 are shortened versions of what is now known as floor vinyl.
clue for the na5, 14 please?
anyone got the le?
The first two are fomed with an old fashioned pub/hotel
rhymes with what you walk with
na5/14 - a lady who looks after children, Mary Poppins being the best known example.
Thanks Haz.
where's the fish, thank you. I was looking in the wrong direction
ragalla, not a n00b
i'm having difficulty with the last li
rhymes with wee or small
ragalla, college-ruled paper is li**
The last li is descriptive of non-plain writing paper and ends in the sometimes vowel
thanks pap
yw
thanks for that na5 haz!
still not got the le - sorry ornith i dont understand your clue
ah found it
ragalla, rhymes with what you put in your shoes
You're welcome FranMag.
Time to take a break - enjoy the grid everybody.
later haz!
yay, fireworks without asking for clues!
so 5/12 anyone?
ragalla, noise
seeya haz
6 to get and I have to go - AAAAAAAAAH!!!
so5 of music
got that one ornith - lookingn for the other one
oh, sorry. wrong so. other one has to do with noise
oh no jfb!
super so*** transit
or, a very speedy hedgehog
thanks fran
thanks for that so5, I was looking for it too
anyone else need clues? (I finished, don't think anyone saw me say so)
my son has a t-shirt with so5 on it, he calls him sonidge (he smushed the so5 and hedgehog together)
ta6?
red wine adjective
sorry ornith! missed it...yay!!!!!
yay, ornith
ta6: sharp tasting, in wine
hehe, thanks
got it, ty
first time to do it with no clues, too - just the list :)
wtg ornith!
te5?
um....hard to clue. first five letters of a long word for a four-sided shape, change the first letter to T
ty, found it. great clue
oh good!
I have to go with 9 left, see you all tomorrow
thanks ornith!
later penny!
bye pappou
see you pappou
yw fran
te4?
reprieve, I have a few more minutes
is a 4 sided shape not a square, Ornith??
the one that ends in angle
flask, not if the sides are different lengths
ragalla, sounds like a greeny-blue color
thanks ornith, was sure I'd tried that, but mustnt have
tonans
happens to me all the time ragalla
can any one help with un5/14 please
sorry wrong box and not a real word anywat
smudge, the 5 and 6 extend from the first un4
anyone need more clues or shall I try to go back to sleep?
can anyone clue me on my last word to/6?
sure thing ragalla
thanks for you help, ornith, down to 6
to6: a small 2000 pounds
Thanks
yw, everyone
woo all done
yay ragalla!
yay ragalla!!

thanks all
Time for me to sleep again I think :) goodnight and good luck all
yay ragalla
Snook back and i've got fireworks!!!! Thanks every one and now I really must go.
bye ornith
grats and goodnight jfb
bye jfb! yay!!!

yay jfb! I LIKE the word snook
Sounds nicer than sneaked!!
Fireworks for me too! Not that bad
yay penny!
See you all tomorrow, time for school
Fireworks
help with wy4/11 and preceding 4/10 please
yay, smudge
bye penny!
yay smudge!
yay papou and smudge
Ist time for me
andree, rhymes with something that blows
but not the last smudge
wy4/10 is last name of er actor noah wy**
thx fran
yw andree
yay! done!
yay fran
any clues before i go?
fl 5/20 please
andree, rhymes with fl*** of the bumblebee
use the sometimes vowel
thanks Fran, was looking wrong way
I need help with un's. I've got one of the 4 letter ones, and the other three are the only words I have left.
ampersand, un6/24 means having a curved or rounded shape (also the name of a curvy font), kind of sounds like your mother's brother
take off a letter at a time for the 5 and 4
yw andree!
ampersand, i'm assuming the un4 that you have is what you do with your laces before taking your shoes off.
ampersand, do you need a different clue?
FIREWORKS
yay andree!
that was short and sweet
yayyy Andree
That would be the right clue Fran, I'm just trying to figure it out! Thanks :)
can I contribute a clue or two before heading off to beddy-bye?
i'm off then! see you all tomorrow!
&done!
bye Fran Mag
this is an early finish for you too Fran, i am used to spendng aa lot more time babbling than this
yayyy ampersand
bye Fran
yay ampersand!!!
yay ampersand
andree, at least you have the grandchildren to keep you busy!! night!
thanks! I think I can only finish puzzles that have under 100 words. I've never finished a big grid.
it took me a while to get my head around finishing big grids too
I nearly choked with that 392
when they are huge like 392, i just do what I can in the time i have
me too. I do try to finish but don't let it warp my fragile mind if I am unable to do so.
If noone needs any clues, I'm headed out for the day. Time for me to get to bed.
it is supposed to be fun and its no fun if I stress about it, finishing most days is good enough for me
goodnight metal and bye all I am off too
"Bye all. Have a lovely arbitrarily designated time unit of your choosing. (*Grabs the antique three-legged cat named Rock and heads off to bed, time to sleep the day away.)
Morning all. A baby grid today, I see.
morning jac. how's your noggin?
doni
oops
Hi bonkler. Still a pit painful but the bruises are going an attractive (lol) yellow shade now.
Oh, I like the 'z' word. Reminds me of an old knight saying 'gadzooks!'
egads, 'tis a fine word indeed.
Well, not reminds me as in I remember.. I'm not THAT old! ;/
I think we should bring the old swear words back.:)
zut alors!
i have a great little book called poplollies and bellibones that's full of odd old words including some rather peculiar cussing.
merde!
bonkler - sounds fun. I must look it up.
:-D
it's a penguin book by susan kelz sperling, much fun
First word I 'saw' in the grid just was 'sod'. It doesn't count though.
duncy
oops again
from your book, bonkler: A hoddypeak was a stupid blockhead, as were the hoddy-noddy and the hoddypoll.
Good morning all, "nice" grid
Hi pida.
Nice grid? We're all uttering mild oaths already. LOL.
Jac, what happened to your head?
oh, and love this: fopdoodle, a word for an ordinary simpleton or fool
pida - I gave it an almighty whack on a wall cupboard last Thursday.
Une - I like that word!
*OUCH* Been there, done that. It hurts. (((hug)))
begone, fopdoodle! Hah!
Thanks, pida.
Une - I have a vision of you brandishing a sword as you say that.:D
I am so not seeing the fl 5; not many letter combo's I can see but not finding it (must be calculating wrong
phan - can't help; not using a list.... yet.
Good morning all phan - up up and away
fl 5/20
fl5/20 - just found it. Alternative spelling for people on a plane take.
*what people on a plane take.
thnx
fl5 spread your wings and take fl*** (variant spelling)
didn't even consider the Y, silly me
Morning Frances.
Morning Jac. How are you today?
Thinking, Frances, that I'll have time to garden and bake 2 Christmas cakes since this is a small grid. How are you?
I can't believe there are 6 W words...must be an error!
Fine. Late getting up this morning as I went to dinner with my son and his family last night. He is a wonderful cook - considered being a chef at one stage.
wy4/10 - one of the 'non-colours'.
Frances - what did he serve up for you?
got that 1 and the blowing things
I can't beilieve there are 2 na 5's...
One of the na 5's is Super Na5/14....popular TV show
chiley - just found a wy4/10 - that could mean 'at the same time as'.
Thanks Jac....I guess there were really 6 after all
na5/12 - what Ronald Reagan might have called his wife.
chiley - wyfe & wyno don't work though. LOL.
Wyfe was my first try
thnx
Our main course was chicken breast stuffed with a stilton mousse wrapped in bacon and cooked in red wine - absolutely delicious
wylt doesn't work either.
morning all...here for my berfore bus crack at the grid
Frances - it sounds it. What came next?
Morning wurdy.
hey jac...do u ever sleep? u are alwasy on lol
wurdy - I'm not really always here, I'm just here when you are. LOL.
Home made amaretto flavoured ice cream with poached peaches
great minds must think alike
Frances - ooh! I'm hungry now.
*Books National Express coach to Essex in search of Frances's son.*
As I said he really is a very good cook and we washed it down with copious amounts of wine.......hence the late start today!
wow small word list today quite a change from the last couple-guess i`ll start later-do some errnds first -later
any hints please te5,12
on 4/6
nm I meant ou but I got it
good morning all!
Morning Wolvie.
No I meant on and that is what I still need. sorry

sorry - I thought you meant the ou.
using the wrong O I forgot about the upper right corner Thnx
sorry - tht is what I thought too
I know Wolvie, I confused everyone
Thanks bonkler & beebee.:)
If I could swap the f & e at the bottom around, I could have 'uncle'.
hey - got the z word right off. pretty good for me.
Wolvie - so did I, right after I saw 'sod' in the grid.;)
not me wolvie, still trying to get it
first three letters are right Jac
;-) that did it, didn't it?
Good morning Babblers. 56 words--yes! I will have time to finish today.

Thanks wurdy - got those missing 2 now.
glad I could help
Bonkler--I don't get you clue.
?British thanks?
hmm, te5 = hi-te** minus the h + acronym for professor's assistant
Scrabbler - the definition for the te5 is:A rooflike structure of the body, especially the dorsal part of the midbrain. The word you want is the plural of that definition.
AHA! Got it. TY
Scrabbler - British thanks could be described as a child's way of saying 'thank you'.
Oh, if you had just given me the definition it would have been easier. LOL
LOL.
thanks guys for the clues - had to go refill my coffee. :-)
got the te one thanx now only need to6,18 for fireworks please.

du5/16 - relating to the husband of a duchess
How do I find my flag, Ankh?
i have selected wales, but i don't know why the dragon doesn't show
du4/7 - almost Mussolini's title but different vowel ending. Or first three letters of the quacking bird followed by a vowel.
MVA - have you clicked 'update profile'?
thanks haz
Biltong, you may have the same problem as MVA. You have UK in your country -- so I thought it would appear automagically. When you look at "My Account" did you click "show profile" ? Also, if you do check it, and click "update profile", then refresh when you come back here, see if that makes a difference.
haz, i haven't updated
Aha, well, add a space or something, make sure "show" is checked off, and hit update... anybody have clues for un5?
I dont get the related to a dutchess clue. I guess I am looking to hard
Sharon, okay, she's married to a duke and they live on the du*** estate.

Thanks. Yes, you mentioned him a few nights ago, the day we had the monster grid?
That's right. Well, I feel the same. My love is true!
MVA, went into My Account, show profile and updated. My son actually did it for me.
*banging head on desk* te5,12 -- my monkey ran out of the room crying!

this might be my one and only shot at fireworks, I want to see them just once!
I am Jean, Ank :-)
Oh, MVA, I never knew that. So I was counting all wrong, and my monkey got mad and stomped out.
Well, pleased to meetcha, Jean. But no flag for you? If you put your country in "my account" and hit "update account" it should give you a nice flag. :)

ac 4/7: ac + sometime vowel + stick letter
Thanks Inge, got them all. What do they mean?
click on the question marks next to them to get a definition--sometime
What question marks?
oops, may be non-pros dont get that, to the left of all our words is a box with a question mark, those un words all have diff. meanings, and I thought they were related, the first is the plural of uncus, the second is a Roman coin and the third is a biochemistry term
At any rate only need the do 5/12 to finish.
Thanks for the info. One of these days, I will upgrade.
it's agirl
s name
phone
try this do + double consonant + first vowel
Thank you for that prima clue. I have finished. I just noticed the question marks. They are very small. My eyes are not what they used to be. Thank you again.

zo is an interjection of astonishment. It may be a shortening of G-ds wounds.

Krys you obviously speak a different language to get round this grid

No, thats the only E word
my cat is sitting on me, but she isn't helping, she's just forming designs on my chicken quesadilla
fl 5/20 - think stairs
fl5/20 alternate spelling of fl**** of the bumble bee
or airplanes. then put a funny vowel in it
sorry, don't get it..
sounds like night
the vowels are a, e, i, o, u, and sometimes...
fl*, a flying pest + **rms of Endearment, movie
Button man - what a bird does with it wings + cup of ** without the last vowe;
