yes, we made a conscious decision to give away our the bulk of our furniture, appliances and household stuff to charity, and travel light in just the two cars. We have books and extra clothing and stuff being shipped. We also rented a storage unit in Idaho to hold other family/personal stuff for a few years until we know if we're staying here or moving overseas.

we used to use canoes, but now i prefer a kayak...they are faster and more maneuverable
Just got a call from a friend she is bring me breakfast on her way to the doctor.....she is having a hip replacement so she isn't able to help me pack but she is very thoughtful
actually the ones they rent are these plactic kayaks where you are just sitting on top....and you get soaked when you go thru the rapids
I've never tried Kayaking but it does look like fun and I will do it some time

they are very tippy...the first time i got in one, i mistakenly dipped my shoulder to paddle like i would in a canoe and went right over...you have to keep your shoulders level when you paddle
I don't think I spelled that correctly but yes they are water level and you do have to paddle but looks like really good exercise

Well, we've had ours resown last spring, but I think that it was too close (4 weeks) to the herbicide... usually we don't use chemicals, and we won't again.
two boys, two dogs -- I no longer care too much about our lawns, and will be pulling up some of the front to reseed with more wildflowers next spring... just easier and I think more attractive as well as better for the environment.
