So-so.....The fusion looks good on X-ray, but my sciatic nerves are very touchy- if I bend wrong or lift, they hurt....also, my Dad died, and that hasn't helped my recovery a bit...
So more physical recovery needed. It takes a long time to recover from a bereavement, especially if it us unexpected (I know from experience with both my parents).
So you understand...Dad died suddenly, and it has been very tough- my apologies to those who have been on for a while and have heard about this already...
The shock lasts for a long time and life is unreal. So, yes, I do understand the pain.
I still cannot take it in that he is gone...my mother is devastated...he was only 71, and wasn't sick....
Like now...I'm crying all over again...darn....
I just had my first birthday without him....
My dad died when he was 53 - away from home on a business trip. For months I was plagued by irrational thoughts, but acceptance finally came. Mum died five years ago, seemingly in perfect health aged 75. Our comfort was that neither of them suffered a long illness. And yes, the first time for everything is hard - my first Christmas without mum was awful. But one day at a time is all you can do.

I'd much prefer 175 or even 275, but my guess is that it will be a small grid. 2nd guess now: 135.
I won't do it if it's over 100 words or so, I have to admit.
I rarely can even work on the puzzle during the week - and if I do, I will never finish it...but it is still fun.
relarion - sometimes the bigger grids are far more easy than the little grids.
I just like working on them even if I don't finish.
let's see last week had 2 300 word grids, so we probably won't be seeing those for a while

I often do a few dozen words just for fun when they're big, but don't try to finish.

Spanky, you will do fine. Remember not to panic... if you get "lost" just set it down and go find someone who can help. My mistake was not having someone who could help. Took me years to find out what I was doing wrong! LOL and one afternoon with a good friend and I was all better. (I still prefer crochet, it fits my hands better)
i don't know anyone that knits...so I will see how it goes. Thanks for the advice. I will surely keep it in mind.
