*phantom
heya debb!

why can I find phantoms so easily but no 7s and 8s?
"hornet" is my phantom
hornets and dragons in the gardens...
lol Krys
among the maigolds
*marigolds
and the squirrels
lol!
and madness
and esquire
hate it when you can spell the same word in three different directions!
and why isn't "squim" a word? sounds like one to me
yeah, i keep seeing "squirming"
the hornets and squirrels squirming among the marigolds in the gardens, until the dragons drive them to madness.
and squlsh
did someone already claim the ea7?
yup :)
yep, but not me!
oh well :)
how about the ma7?
i think i get to claim the so7,the ea7, the ma7, and one of the g7's, but no 8's
d'oh!
I put down both g7 Krys
but i've hit a wall, so you get the rest, i bet :)
no ma7, firefly - gfu
i guess they're both yours, then - i got one before you posted that there were two, i guess..

nope, i tried that one too :)
'night nan!
ooooopppppsssss.......
hi again msilver
i have the Q - hahahhaha ;)
so far i have found two ga7/36. there may be more...
the q is that crazy word we had the other week; sounds like the orange soda...
jaianniah please put real words in wo we can all get some help
firefly, can you give me a clue for ne 5, 12
thanks chic, now I remember
shoot, wish I could remember that queer q
wow, what a weird word! looks like it's missing important vowel sounds
msilver - it's the plural of the ne4 that's a synonym for geek/dweeb/etc.
the orange soda clue is good
for the Q
and it's a monetary unit from saudi arabia
Like a Hersh(ey) bar
Thx, firely. got it. maybe i will sleep tonight after all
jilli, it's like the orange soda we have here but the u is the only vowel
firefly, what about the ga 7,36
yes, got it finally - memory bad
one ga7 is plural of red precious stones, one is plural of attics
there are two so far msilver - ones a precious stone, reddish, and the other uses the double consonant
i don't think we get the same orange soda here, at least i can't think of any
thanks krys - how could I be so blind!
beast, also a song by REM
Beast - then it sounds kinda like another word for smash
q + anagram of don't **** into anything
i'm headed to bed all - see ya in the morning
cya firefly
g'nite firefly
nite firefly, pleasant dreams
im7/32
made the halfway point - 78 words, but no 8's
nite firefly

Txs,Fly
thx muse!
Got it,doh!

well a small one jilli
*waves has Firefly buzzes off, blinking*
thanks, muse!

did anyone get another 8 besides the on 8?
not yet
i have a ho8
Oh, deb, Ido too,and what a clumsy word
how about a clue, debb?
builds off the ho 6/21 - it really does, i don't lie ...
Chic, if I am more truthful than Deb, I am ho8.
ea7/28 - sincere ga7/36 - precious stones ga7/36 - attics ho8/45 - more forthright im7/32 - Turkish inns ma7/32 - birds on8/45 - running, as in water or a system so7/28 - poems
thats a dumb word
that's what i have so far
thanx guys! who knew that was a word?
thanks krys
YW
Morning all, a bit of babbling before leaving - is it a quickie?
ma7/32 is weasels, not birds, right? But thank you so much, Krys!
that's great, krys! thanks
thanks krys - now i have to work on those!
whoops, my apologies, i thought they were birds
hi sprite, have 50 left, so may be quick for you
the bird ma is spelled differently and is not in this puzzle hi sprite!!
Krys, I'm still stuck on the on8 water clue -- don't worry, weasels, birds, we'llfigure it out.
Well, a list like Krys just posted helps considerably :)
i'm stuck with you ank
the turkish inn has me and google stumped
thanks got them all except the ma
me too (i'll just glom on to everyones confusion)
Me too, jilli, deb, I'm in such honorable company!
im, sounds like the airline
Beast, ma was a popular fur... expensssive
have fun trying to figure out the us 5/18 word!
lol, more like a suffix than a word
ma - Ma**** Sheen with diff last vowel
found 2 ga7/36
thanks got it now
and 3xga6/24
im airline?
thanks jilli
im airline?
thanks jilli,
any aussies could get it from the old shops, john Ma**** but with an e instead
the airline would start em it just sounds the same
so how many 7's are there today
still don't know the airline
Like a badly spelled Muslim prayer tower?
9, beast
9 7's
there are 9 7words, I have 3 so far
thanks
Jilli, got it yet? think prayer tower.

*slaps self with gefilte fish* doh, I shoulda known. Fast even in the dark, right?
sunset to sunset
Dang, long time... but you get to drink?
no - nothing (but i do brush my teeth alot )
Well... what's the apprpriate greeting? It's surely not Happy YK, is it?
debb how long do u fast?
hmm - i guess "have a happy fast"" - or happy new year
sunset to sunset -
HNY is what I've heard here but never HYK; thanks for the manners lesson! :)
no food words in the grid (so far, for me)
lol - i should have said - have an easy fast
this fasting is getting to me aready
Sprite
Sprite, "Yom," is the Hebrew word for day. I don't know if you ever got your answer.
It's the not drinking that would drive me wild during Yom Kippur or Ramadan.
sprite
i'm sorry sprite - i didn't see you - didn't mean to ignore
98 words and I'm fading fast...nite all!
Thanks taz, I was wondering. My friend who just died was called "Jom". It seems appropriate :)
nite chic - sweet dreams
nite chic
thanks msilver!
sprite, i was really sorry to hear about your friend. how are you doing?
Night, Chic!
yes sprite sorry to hear that
Sprite, please accept my condolences...I am so sorry....
yes, so sad sprite -
Today is the funeral, which somehow feels as a kind of closure. I am a bit wobbly about it all, of course, but holding on well enough. I am grateful she did not have to suffer long. But we will miss her terribly.
You guys are the best, your support really helps.
((((sprite))))
((((((sprite)))))
we'll be thinking of you today, Sprite
Thanks, all of you :)
So sorry sprite - will be thinking of you today
Blessings.....I will pray, Sprite.....
*hugs* sprite
Sprite, I'm so sorry about your friend. I'll say a prayer tomorrow at the special service. I'm almost afraid to ask what happened.
brb
Cancer, msilver, of an extremely agressive kind. Thank you for your prayers.

a brand name that's named after a spanish word, i think
Krys, your st* was a brand name, but not any more, now generic
Night, Flosey, sleep tight
ty

nayone mond helping me with the q and u word?
oh flosey, you have to get back in time toset a record!
big discussion of the Q word in the chat log about an hour ago
what's the o that isn't singles or start?
ty
q + anagram of **** Limbaugh
well, we're hoping to catch the 5: will do our darndest
Taz, no vowel but u
Don't have the Q yet, but I have the U: starts with we all, and ends with the start of her royal highness.
ty ank kry
ty sprite
need help with o which is not singles nor start
ho5/14 Japanese car/motorcycle manufacturer
sprite, just clued the q at 1:25 - is that too American?
ank it's an on8 meaning "up and running"
q + anag of fools **** in
Guess I have to google Limbaugh, lol. I haven't the foggiest.
lucky you, sprite, not being exposed to Limbaugh
sprite, no vowel but u
Yep, that worked. And that is a word???
i'm going to take a break now, cya all later
see my other q clue at 1:27
krys, still working on it, thanks
bye beast
thanks :)
That q word was on the a week or so ago...
the st8 is hard - it's a compound word that refers to a piece of support in a ship's frame
well, not hard, i guess, just obscure
That ST and that ON have me stumped.
Bleah, I cn't get the ST nor the ON.
if you are on a ship, you are on8, and if you st8 breaks, you may be dumped in the water
on 8 small river
one particular one?
no .... general akin to lake and pond
that on word is like having digital or cable internet...
*types 'online' the fourth time*
build off the s6/21
Txs, Swill, working on it
ank, you're really close!
I tried online too.
online is the closest synonym i can think of
*doesn't have s6,21*
on + babbling brook
have you tried it?
rhymes with "life is but a...:
Wow, thanks, finally!
or when something is really sleek it is st****line
krys that one is in there too
rowrowrow your boat, gently...
blaze, yes it is :)
AHA! Sprite pushed me over on that one. Now back to the leaky ship.
aaah - thanks krys (and all)
Blaze, you too, and Krys of course
Swill, thanks also
And Jilli.
throw them over board and listen to them scream... we do with our grand daughter who is 2 and she screams and laughs all at the same time...
Krys, finally got ship word 8 also.
oh good
ty for all teh q tips all still looking lol
I think you are all looking at another grid that s 8 will not just sail out to meet me... LOL
same here, Blaze :)
it ends with not slow no vowel...
Poor Taz. No vowel but u, sounds kinda like Hersh(ey) bar, just the first part of the bar
ank good clue
imagine if you brought your young child onto the boat and ordered him to watch the back of the boat. he would be a st8
Taz, you're in a hurry, you're in a *u**.
Krys, GREAT clue.
If I try to enter anything with 'guard' one more time, I will have to kick myself.
ty guys i am dense right now
Taz, qu + *u**. Ignore the second u.
I got the s word... thanks for the clue... just typed and did not look at the grid... it works.. maybe I should do that more often... LOL
fireworks!
g'night everyone

y\YAY Krys!!!
Yay, Krys, sleep triumphant! Good, Taz!
*hugs* to you sprite - my thoughts are with you getting through this difficult day. thanks to all for clues!
Hi taz-- thanks for asking-- I'm a newbie (just paid after two fun adn addicting weeks!), and I still don't understand how people seem to know the first two letters as well as the points. Dumb question, probably, but... thanks!
hi all :)
well angelsong is one place to learn and definatley go to lickety babble clues its a big help
hi ata
Asha, hi! Go to the Lickety link under the yellow grid, open it in a new window, and you'll see the two-word hints.
Asha, the first two letters are available on various clue pages. Try Lickety's first
Morning, Atalante!
Hey Ata! *hug* Thanks Krys :)
Hi ata!
Ohhhhh...!! I didn't read those links carefully. Thanks folks!
I am missing an 8, which one? have ho, st, and on.
asha by the way welcome!
re 8/55
Re, Ankh.
Ty deb, sprite
st8??? I have st6/18 and st6/21
debb any clue with that?
jilli: it ends in male child.
Thank you, Tazpink!
re8: quarrel again.
oh, i don't have it .....
I shouldn't be babbling today ... too busy - work work work and a pile of art to keep working on ... so I'll dive right in :)
but can't figure out st8/40 in spite of krys's great clue
i have lickey though
ty debb
Asha, welcome to the madness :)
Art, Ata?
jill ... back of a ship plus a male heir
ty, sprite, working on re-quarrel
LOL... first play, then work, and work will go so much smoother, Ata ;)
Ata - me too loads to do today dove into the grid about an hour ago. Morning all

fmitch hiya
I also have three 8s--what on earth is this "HO" madness people keep talking about?
hi FM! good to know I'm not the only one!
thanks sprite and swill -- I'm getting too sleepy for this!
Samantha: try truthfuller :)
Oh, Samantha, I'm so straightforward, I'm much ho8 than anyone else you know.
ho is a crazy word more truth
I got it on my own just as your message popped up. But thanks so much!
i think i'm getting too sleepy as well - gnite all - (((((sprite )))))) will be thinking of you today

Finally found my last 7. It's A7, first three letters is form of to be, the rest is protruding from our faces.
by debb
st8, taz.
You're missing the ST. Think "strict male heir"--it's a compound
thanks for the a7. sprite
Ty sprite, have your 7 now. Still on re8
nite debb
There are some great words today (once you find them). Thanks for that a7 sprite
renosh
RE 8 is "to fight again"--builds off the AR 5
oh well
and the AR6
Thanks, sprite-- and madness it is! Plus, what a friendly community of e-babblers.
Ankh: re + A6/27
DOH, have it now, sprite! looking in the wrong place. Shh, Jilli! :)
to be? a7
LOL, Ankh and jilli :)
I've typed "endear" in twice now
ty got a7
I agree, Asha, the community is half the fun of the game.
phantoms today marigold and garden
I'm sticking with "endear" as my phantom
Mine is regret.
fmitch - early in the chat there was a lovely phantom sentence like " hornets in the marigold garden driving us to madness"
Ata, did you see that one of the Kushiel titles is partly in the grid today? :)
and squirrels
asha a phantom is almost there words in teh grid
lol jilli glad I am not the only one imagining these words.
oh yes! wheeee! decided yesterday to doodle a house marque for Gentian. is pretty.
still looking for st 8
st8 - rear of boat and male heir
Wow, great going, Ata! One day you will be the only artist Jacqueline will allow to draw for Kushiel...
st8 sounds like a Swedish last name- take a st word and add a Nordic ending.....
ty all now it accepted didnt earleir
yeah, like garden :-)
she certainly liked the recent pic of Joscelin :)
Exactly, Asha :)
That's very good news, Ata.

Morning Haz
hi everybody
See you, HK!
hi !!!
aaargh i'm going crazy i think
hi haz fmitch fran helen :)
Good morning FMItch - gloomy outside today but this grid will keep me occupied. I read back in the chat log yesterday. Poor little pink person.
Hi !!! (???)
i think i'm hyperventilating because it feels like i'm having a heart attack but i'm too young for that.
i thought babble would help.
Yeah, I ended up mentioning my Dad on purpose and s/he went away....
and of course ata !!! :)
ok, I need referral codes so you guys can get credit
sounds like an anxiety attack !!!
yeah
hi ml
It was a divetisment Haz :)
i'm very prone, just usually not at 2 in the morning
You played with her like dogs at a bone....
Metal, say Katrine sent you....
mea culpa
ECX8X1 that's mine ML.
does anyone have the en6?
did i miss a troll?
The 'ignore all trolls'policy is no use on a day when there are few words in the grid...
Oh, Yeah, used the "F" word and all....was very snarky!
Yes, FranMag, you did. I only found out about reading back in the chat log. The babblers were merciless.
add the first vowel to the word before it, rolin
the U word sounds like something the Swedish Chef from the Muppets would say
i loved the swedish chef ml!
thx jai
Or perhaps the U word is what they put in cheap perfume....
yw, rolin :o)
the Q-P site won't let me enter but one code... how shall I choose?
the u word is Latin and ppart of the Canadian motto - "A mari *****ad mare" (From sea to sea)
Use Fran's, Metal, it's okay....
it doesn't matter to me ML, how about pick a number from 1 to 10?
lagging badddddd here
is anybody listening?
Perhaps someone else will use my name (???)<hint>
i heard you jilli, but i already have the word.
I heard you too jilli
Yes, Jilli, we hear you! Sorry, didn't mean to ignore you!
i'll be back in a bit, baby is getting fussy, having a hard time sleeping.
I know, fran, but someone was asking what it meant.
Ok - as long as you know it's real even though the dictionary doesn't! - LOL
Now I'm REALLY going to bed, with 100 words and 53 to find tomorrow -- happy babbling, all
Nigh jilli
Sleep well jillibus.
My code is 75VCOG, for Quote Puzzler
If you give my code, I get a bunch of stars....

Haz, how are you finding the grid today?
It's good fun!
Beast, you have Fireworks???
There are some good chuncky words to find :)
no, i just finished the a's
It's a bit bottom heavy, though. Not as well proportioned as some. Trinny and Susannah would have their work cut out.
i am at 127 words
14 to go for me
oooh keep up the great work
lol we could put some chiffon around the edges to soften it?
It needs some sort of drapery around the top to distract from what's going on underneath. And vertical stripes. Always vertical stripes.
the piercing in my icon is a clue for two words today hooray
See you all tomorrow. TY to all, and good luck with the grid. U word clue: someone who is sharp and short and mean to you is br*****. Drop the BR, and you have the word. Nitey-Nite!
Goodnight jaianniah, sleep well.
Bye Jai

Agreed - there's no way that I'm going to watch it either. I can't fathom why anybody would put themselves on public exhibition like that, especially when they know they are unpopular anyway.

50p and a luncheon voucher can buy so much Haz!
Any advance on 50p and a luncheon voucher? (I can give veterinary tips as well)
I could never pick the cutest cat! To me they are all adorable, even the not so cute ones. That would just make them more endearing to me :)
all cats are the cutest
I agree Ata :)
So the world of professional cat judging is not for you! Waiting time for a decision would run into hours.....
though mine's the *real* cutest :P
Don't tell Haz's Spangle that ;-)
:) They are adorable!
Spangle has very decided opinions about cats.
5 words left, does anyone have the q word

it was like OYW, but had this hippie-type blacksmith who did ironwork the old fashioned way
no i don't, unless it's the one where they were reproducing the metal staircase.
no, this was a series
Okay, I lied before when I said I would come back later. I couldn't resist finishing...... Time to do something more constructive, though it WON'T involved woodwork ( nor needlework, those blessed da words gave me the shivers)
oh, no i don't remember that, we may not have aired it here.

I've got 3 8s - ho, st and re - what's the other one?
INGREDIENTS: * 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust * 36 individually wrapped caramels, unwrapped * 1/4 cup butter * 1/4 cup milk * 3/4 cup white sugar * 3 eggs * 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract * 1/4 teaspoon salt * 1 cup pecan halves
on Ata

DIRECTIONS: 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C.) In a saucepan over low heat, combine caramels, butter and milk. Cook, stirring frequently, until smooth. Remove from heat and set aside. 2. In a large bowl, combine sugar, eggs, vanilla and salt. Gradually mix in the melted caramel mixture. Stir in pecans. Pour filling into unbaked pie crust. 3. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 to 50 minutes, or until pastry is golden brown. Allow to cool until filling is firm.
ty!
oooh, just found a Honey Pecan Pie recipe
st8/40 anyone?
Wow! metal that sounds amazing [reaches ro pen and paper] When I visited my sister in America one of the most useful things I brought home was a measuring cup so I can use american recipes.

thanks cat! i wasn't even trying to extend that word!
lol haz!
You're welcome !
LOL Haz!
metal could you use caramel mixture made with sw. cond. milk in place of caramels
I'm waiting for my hair to dry a little before I blow dry it. And then I'll take the dog for a walk and have to do the whole thing all over again......
we should set up some sort of group to swap implements like that, and maybe to arrange to swap ingredients not readily available... like Karo Syrup or the like
INGREDIENTS: * 1 cup honey * 3 eggs, beaten * 3 tablespoons butter * 1 teaspoon vanilla extract * 1 cup chopped pecans * 1 pinch ground nutmeg * 1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch single crust pie DIRECTIONS: 1. In a saucepan bring the honey to a boil. Quickly beat the eggs into the honey. Add butter, vanilla, nuts, and nutmeg. Pour into the pie shell. 2. Bake at 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) for 25 minutes or until set.
thats just masochistic, Haz! dog walk *then* tidying adn beautying!
I think if you used the caramel made from the milk, you might have to decrease the milk in the original recipe
I know - but my hair was in such a state that I couldn't venture out the way it was!
Good morning Babble friends!
I agree Ata
andree, that's dulce de leche (the condensed milk one) maybe
hi Becca
maybe ml can find a recipe that uses that anyway
hi becca!
Hi Becca
its called a hat :P
what do you think about the ingredient/utensil idea?
A hat? Now there's a thought!
metal, I meant the caramel reeipe[no milk] sw. cond. milk golden syrup and butter
ml, you can start a thread at babanon, you don't need to register to post there.

Is it Andree? Karo is pretty thick.
I looked it up once
ml, do you read dave leibovitz's blog?
its pretty similar, really
no, never heard of it
he's written a bunch of chocolate cookbooks
I thought karo was was lika waffle syrup
WE have dark and light Karo, we use the dark for the pecan pies
ooooooooooh, I love cookbooks
he has a blog?!?!
My husband HAS to know about this
No Andree, its super thick, for cooking, not on pancakes
I love it on pancakes, the light syrup.. and on french toast too
i mention it because he is american living in paris and he would probably know substitutes like golden syrup for karo and that kind of thing.
hold on, i'll get a link
You lot are making me very hungry!! For something sweet and sticky, mmmm...
Really Metal? I thought it was only for cooking.
any help for us5,18 pls.

Sorry I'm not being overly chatty today--just think of me as "focused"
ma6/27 please
yayyyy SJ
the As are crazy. Do you have the two sevens?
nope
OK - MA 6/27 - ma + the vertical pronoun + the first three letters of ***edy, what a person is when he tries to get far more than he needs
There's an AI 6 that sounds like a water bird; the plural is AI 7
TY - I'm sure I tried that one!!
There's another AR 7 that is a tense of "to be" plus the thing that you smell with
You got it? From that crazy clue? I am thoroughly impressed!!!!!!!!!
yep, pretty good clue I thought!
The second AR 5/16 is exactly like the word above it, but remove the second vowel.
Maybe the third vowel?
or, well, yes, the third vowel might actually work better *headdesk*
I meant the second vowel in the second syllable, OBVIOUSLY. It was IMPLIED.
Fireworks for me too - cuppa calls
way to go spellit!
Congrats Spellit!!
Clue for the on8?
ON + ST 6/21, compound word
If you are this on8 you are actually sitting on the river!

There are lots of DA 5/12s--do you know which you need?

They're all built off of DA 4/5s. Two of them are plurals, and one is "one who da**s"
does anyone have the ne5/10?

AAARRRGH!!! The fourth LETTER, the third consonant

Hi Aloy!
hi Aloyisius!
howdy abe and ch1212 - hope you're cruising along..
this grid has been friendly, thus far
fairly well -- been at it about an hour off and on, and 40 left
Good morning ch1212. What a fabulous ball gown!
Miss Hetty!! I was getting a bit concerned - I haven't seen you on the grid lately.
Hi Hetty
No, I've been away. Hi all, I've missed you.
I was away for almost 2 weeks during the move, but I hope your absence was more pleasant? Vacation? Another trip overseas?
(Not that you have to answer ... just curious)
hi to you too, hetty..
The trip overseas is scheduled to start Nov. 10. <eanwhile i
I've been visiting my children here and working hard to tie up loose ends in other ways
So, ch1212, is the move safely and gladly over now?
Ahh ... well, it's wonderful to have you back. We are falling in love with the beautiful New England foiliage, and the people are very warm and welcoming.
I keep telling my beloved, "So much for the infamous New England reserve!"
ne 5/10 pls, I know its a fish, but.....

clues for ne5,10 would be helpful pls.

It is the first 6/21
hurshy was at her finest with "pinkypoo" troll
the troll was about 12, if that, and not very imaginative, but it was fun to pick on for awhile.

Yeah... I miss drinking around Wrigley. Never went after age 21, the thrill was gone then. Oh, yeah, last night I was watching Bears and telling Dear One about freezing my everthing during Soldier Field games of yore.

ive only been to one Bears game....we started tailgainting around 5:30
im not entirely sure what happened in the game

My hubby is a Packer
Oh, poor Tea, did we BEAT YOU like a rented mule?? :)

I cheer for the Packers sometimes; I married into an Eagles family.

Hubby is the rabid fan and he was actually pretty calm last nite.

Yeah, Tea, it seemed emotional.
you shoulda seen it. When my daughter was born, I think it was Packers v Bears on Monday night football. Guess what my hubby was in the hospital room doing
oh well, you gotta lose once in a while
Nothing made my father happier than a Bears v Packers game. Nothing makes my marital family happier than an Eagles v Cowboys game. Oh no, poor Laurel!! LOL!
the nurse came in and said the game was pretty much on every TV in teh unit
ist ho 5 pls
I live in No Virginia and d e s p i s e the Washington DC team. I hope they lose every game, forever. Until they change their name.

hi, everyone. Terrific news: My heart tests a couple of weeks ago are perfectly normal. No problems at all.
im not a fan of most DC sports teams
WooHoo, AngelSong!
Terrific, Angel! Great news indeed!
but its an excuse to see my Cubbies 3 times a year
thats wonderful Angel
and the Bulls twice
and now that DePaul joined the Big East, i can see them when they play Georgetown

Yeah, Cauz, I try to get excited about Ravens / Orioles and can't; and not the Nats, either. But I do LOVE the Mystics! cheapest ticket in town!
gonna go rearrange the pallets of popcorn in my garage and hope I can get my car into the garage!
Hi Angel..thats great news Im relly pleased for you
Hey, DePaul ball, that's worth watching. I don't cheer for GU, the coach is a robber baron... I cheer for GMU, Dear One's alma mater.

ive been to some nats games...im hoping it will be better once the new stadium is built, although at this rate, ill be the only one in the stands

BBL -- Bye, Hursh, look, you have an H-less doppelganger in chat today! C U all later
we have just had SUCH an exciting time
cya ankh
hurshy, tea and I were talking about how much fun you were having with pinky yesterday
What have you been doing hurshy?
hee hee
Hurshy I was WEBOGGLING last night....lol
Howdy hurshy!
a falconer came with several birds - owls, hawks, falcons, and the sophomores sketched them, and then (what luck!) they brought them up to do the falconry demonstrations right in front of our house, so i opened the windows and my cats got to watch the big birds. it was quite fun for them!
I feel a fool for asking, but i need the 3rd te 4/5. My goal is all the four letter word, then off to shower and run errands. Thanks!!
yes, fun with pinky. good flask weboggling :). hello and *kiss* torgone.
Wow hurshy I bet that was fun
tea, see to the care of
Sounds wonderful Hurshy!!
oops, that's the second one. third one is a te** of college
and the boys saw the cats watching so at the end they were asking if a hawk or eagle or whatever would prey on a cat, and the guy said they wouldn't, and if they did, they'd have to pay a price for that meal, cause cats are athletic and have sharp claws. and we were like, hehehehe
i told marty, see, i always told you you were fierce and ferocious!
oy - slap me with a fish - thanks!
I was about to ask if they were watching with trepidation or hunger ..
fascination, i think, tor. they've never seen birds that big before.
ma 5/18 & 6 pair pls
and of course, my cats are very domesticated. they have killed small animals before (mice used to get into our old house) but they didn't even know to eat them after they killed them!
got all the 4's - off to run errands
not actually a pair, phan. the 5/18 is a singular of the 4 (wise men) and the six looks french.
later, tea
it's so funny, i'm not one of those people that really treats pets like children overall, and like i think it is ridiculous when people dress their pets and stuff like that, but when it comes to "educational opportunities" i do treat my cats like kids. i'm like, look, kitties, isn't that interesting? and i feel so happy that they had the opportunity to see these big birds!
Hi Hurshy and All. Hurshy, are you trying to scare the kitties off of watching birds? (just read your last post here)
nerd
oooooooopps sooooooorrrrrrrryyyyyyy!!!!
lol, no. they weren't scared. they were very interested. if they had actually FOUGHT one of the birds, then they might be scared off...
shorty has faerie made it to ky?
ok got the ma 5
Hi Nef
Just read backwards and saw what was going on! What a marvelous show to watch -with or without cats! :D
and the 6
thnx
yeah, it was cool :)
Where do you live that this show was right there? By a garden or zoo?
HI Caitlyn
no, i live at a boarding school, and the falconers were brought in to give a demonstration to the sophomore class.
my husband teaches mostly sophomores and our house is attached to the sophomore dorm.
hurshy Is this a boarding school for bad kids or rich kids?
Wow! Sounds like quite an interesting job and place!
shorty... neither, really. we have some rich kids, of course... but we also give some financial aid... and we occasionally get bad kids... but they are mostly nice.
oh Ok the reason I ask is because my 15 yr old nephew is being verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry bad and needs to be sent somewhere to teach him respect
lol
<shorty, I'm thinking Hurshy says don't sent him HER way!>
and she will send him WHEREEVER!
LOL
well, i don't know what you mean by very bad, but there are places - my friend priscilla works at one - that are state run for kids who really can't be at home for whatever reason
he is just being very direspectful to his parents and thinks hes the boss of him and he dont have to listen to them
um... shorty... i think that's called being a teenager :)
Prhaps its just a stage he is going through shorty
i was picturing drugs, violent behavior...
yeah but his worse trust me Ive had 6 and none have been like this
yes he is smoking pot and drinking at 15!!!!!!
he admitted that
clue for on8/45?
shorty - there are also programs like outward bound sorts of things but specifically for problem teenagers, which i have heard good things about
Oh that isnt good shorty
and he hates anybody whos not white and he was NOT raised that way
on+smal river
lmj 0n8/45 on +a small river
hmmm do know what I could look up for that
yay I have one side of my garage back!
thanks dipp & cait
i'm trying to remember the name of the one a kid from here went to... i'll ask my husband and let you know, he'll remember
ok thank you
It's a shame, Shorty, that he chooses something as meritless as color to make him feel superior to others. Doesn't he have anything legit to be proud of?
I mean, other than the ability to get a four-star sunburn? :) I don't mean to be harsh.
meanwhile, make him watch star trek episode #70, "let that be your last battlefield". it shows how ridiculous racism is.
klaurel why did you lose half of your garage?
I really dont think so Ank he has hatered inside of him and I've talked to him about it but.......well you know how that goes
Oh hurshy i will do that
clue for re7/40?
:|
Popcorn! :) Scouts are selling popcorn and my garage became central depot
Excellent episode, Hursh! yeah, shorty... I'm sorry. I just have noticed that particular nastiness in kids who are looking to bond with other boys, and the whole batch of nothing to be sure of and nothing to be proud of, so they pick that... which makes their parents nuts, of course, besides being shameful on its own.
(that's torgone resisting his impish impulses)
I wish you the best with him, and hope he grows out of it quickly.
re7/40 to quarrel again
hi guys, any clue for qu?
thank you Ank and I hope so too
thanks caitlyn!
Zero, no extra vowel, think of old drink, Orange Cr***
thank you all for your listening also and ideas of what to do with him
i think it's red something... red cliff, red briar...?
thanks ankhorite
Not much... just hope he finds something he's good at through his own effort, something legit to be proud of and bond with other kids about. Anyway, I admire your stamina! :)
YW, Zero... gotta leave for a bit, brb
yeah, red cliff. here is their website: http://www.redcliffascent.com/
thank you hurshy
no problem.
ty Ank
the website looks really helpful - has things about how to tell if this is right for your kid, and it says if it isn't they can help you find out what sort of place would be.
yes, I see that, I am at the website now.
best of luck, i hope you and his parents can find something that will help!
me too ty again it looks like an excellent program!
:)
Help with US5...?

Got it - thanks!

OR you could tell bloodaxe where to get it so he could have it as his icon if he wants
*grinning at hurshy* you were very close!
well, maybe if several of us do it, Dr_G will take notice! (hint hint in case he reads the log)
lol!
Actually, there are a whole bunch, bloodaxe, in google images, just type morocco flag!
haha...he might get a wee bit concerned that his game is being taken over by moroccan.

When forty winters shall besiege thy brow, And dig deep trenches in thy beauty's field, Thy youth's proud livery so gazed on now, Will be a totter'd weed of small worth held: Then being asked, where all thy beauty lies, Where all the treasure of thy lusty days; To say, within thine own deep sunken eyes, Were an all-eating shame, and thriftless praise. How much more praise deserv'd thy beauty's use, If thou couldst answer 'This fair child of mine Shall sum my count, and make my old excuse,' Proving his beauty by succession thine! This were to be new made when thou art old, And see thy blood warm when thou feel'st it cold.
