oh, flip!
turtles
really?
going to get mine
brb
Good evening, everyone
hi nan, brb gonna look for a turtle
I'm turtlized...
hi, how do you guys choose the theme?
got mine !!
bo8/50
ok Jilli - ready with my turtle but won't be babbling - busy day tomorrow
na7/28
got mine too
LOL reat story chj
flosey - I have a busy day coming up too so won't finish - but here's the Mock Turtle
Angel, Babble has a list of themes, you can email her with suggestions if you want
thanks, muse :)
that should have been lol GREAT story (my g's don't work too well)
mymus - i've never seen that movie - any good for adults - i'm not a really a fan of animation (anymore, lol - *see my icon*)
Put on the whole armor of God, that you may ***** against the wiles of the devil
HK - just got to see Finding Nemo - lovely fun for all ages
I enjoyed it for the story and the artwork Helen, nice Father's Day tale
lol Who's Tooter TUrtle?
maybe i will rent it - cartoons put me to sleep nowadays, but i've heard nothing but good things about it
mymus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
douglas - where do you store all these quotations?
help me mr. wizard !!!!!!!
lol sorry don't know that one
you've never heard that line?
Because you're mine, I walk the...
I was toon deprived
nor that either
I've been waiting for Babble all my life...
never heard of tooter turtle - have you heard of my Mock Turtle?
nope
sounds like one my grandson would watch jilli - perhaps when I'm back there visiting
I've heard of Mutant Ninja Turtles
that's usually the only time I see any movies
Greetings Gates!
Nemo was on TV recently
tooter turtle always wanted to be something he wasn't - a doctor, lawyer, indian chief .... mr. wizard would change him into what he wanted to be & invariably tooter turtle got in a jam & had to call for mr. wizard
seldom watch tv
in fact took my nephew and friend's son to a show at Radio City, many moons ago
Neo made a Mr. Wizard reference in The Matrix, near the very end...
sounds really neat, HK!!! Kinda Walter MItty
if you've seen the matrix movies - keanu calls for mr. wizard when he's in trouble- the toon is what the reference is to
I would've liked that show HK!!
And Mr. Wizard would say, in a sort of German distinguished accent...Twizzle, twazzle, twozzle, twome, time for this one to come home
Ah, Radio City - saw so many shows there
too bad it's not on reruns
It was a very comforting feeling, as you knew everything was going to be ok...
lol I've tended to see more kids shows there than anything else
douglas - that's what i always thought too, but when i googled tooter - it said DRizzle, Drazzle .....
Cartoons made in the 60's would be mocked to scorn these days by children for the lameness of their production values...
yes mymus - douglas is right, it was very comforting, you would have liked it
right you are douglas!
ahem...hello again....
hi chic!
F'rinstance, Gigantor is on Adult Swim, and it seemed really cool at the time, but it looks pretty lame now...
hello mymuse!
hiya chic!!
a lot of kids are into the Japanese anime these days

First show I saw at Radio City was a mistake -- we were taken when I was 8 to see a special Easter show or something but missed the date and saw Magnificent Obsession with (I think) Robert Taylor instead - and LOVED it, much to the dismay of the family!

phantom - borealis (as in aurora, northern lights)
hi nan - I don't see any turtles in yoiur icon, and it's not thanksgiving here yet...
with all those 7's and 8's there has to be a lot of compound words, but I'll be darned if I can find any.

Would you?, thanks.
Happy to oblige :D
A panda walks into a cafe. He orders a sandwich, eats it, then draws a gun and fires two shots in the air. 'Why?' asks the confused waiter, as the panda makes towards the exit. The panda produces a badly punctuated wildlife manual and tosses it over his shoulder. 'I'm a panda,' he says, at the door. "look it up.' The waiter turns to the relevant entry and, sure enough, finds an explanation. 'P a n d a. Large black-and-white bear-like mammal, native to China. Eats, shoots and leaves.'
LOL jilli!
Thanks jilli!
the book has been a best-seller and is a hilarious 'Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation', by Lynn Truss.

I've just found four ao words. I'm feeling heartened.
ao's omg how many are there then?
Find the ao5/10 (main trunk of arterial system). There are then two versions of its plural, and the word relating to it (ao6/18 x 2 and ao6/21)
i have the arterial ones thats it, thanks haz x
Did I give you a heart attack thinking there were more?!
" laughs" x
Mind you, I'm not using the list yet, so who knows?
oh i hope there not more i only have two of the ao's x
But there are four relating to the arterial system. There are two versions of the plural (one is latin) and there is the adjectival form.
yeah im looking !!!! x
m3 - have you got the re6/30 - it describes your mission this morning with regards to the missing remote control?
oh no will look now, was looking for an ao x
yeah have it now x lol x
By the way, one of the ao words ends in a nervous twitch, if that's any help.
thanks but not dont help i give up for now, working from the bottom up today !!!
Hope the method works!
pa5/15 and pa6/24, something you must try not to do in an emergency
As yelled frequently by Corporal Jones in Dad's Army!
hehe, love that show
I loved Dad's Army, but haven't seen it in years
It's repeated rather less frequently now than it used to be, but it was classic comedy.
I became addicted to many British Comedies via our Public Broadcasting System
They don't make them like they used to!
our national channel here in Australia, the ABC shows a lot of UK shows
The Bill being one
the first one I remember seeing was No, Honestly!
lots of David Attenborough doccos
and Butterflies, To the Manor Born, Good Neighbors, Allo Allo, and of course Are You Being Served
pfffffui, back at last

How do you tell? once I've entered them, I lose track
thanks, m3
met. not easy, but today there is only 1 d :-)
can't find it, I must be typing all around it, is there a clue for it?
not wet but mor dr*****
oh you put your wet clothes in it
thanks, I can't believe I didn't see that. Where's the fish and for my first word too
grab a fish from the grid :)
dont lol i had about 3 fish yesterday !
sprite, you won't believ it, but that fish is the name of my city
add springs to it and you can google my town
LOL that is great :)
but don't get confused and put the fish in the D.
well i have been babbling for a whole year, yet my spelling has yet to improve !!!
this is a hard puzzle
LOL
just in case you haven't already found it, the at5/10 is thematically related to the ao's
are there 3 ao's?
haz has 4 i have 3!!
ahh, seen two ao's
see, you babble and you delve in cardiology too
ar6/18 is like a talent, some people tend to associate it with a bit of BS :P
singular, 2x plural and 1x adj. ao.
ao5/10 and ao6/18 gets damaged if you smoke
I only found the one plural
and now the other
latin plural
lol
I always forget about that plural
I always try latin and greek plurals to all words ending in that vowel, lol.
cria is so a word... it's a baby alpaca
ahhhhwwwww, sounds so sweet!
they are cute as can be
I've played many a word game where they don't accept a legal word
and where they accept nonwords.
tr5/12, a word that describes a way things are going
Anyone got any clues for the 7s?
sorry, don't have any 7s or 8s yet

Hi, all. Can't sleep, so can I help with clues???
hi jaianniah

Hi!
don't think we've met, nice to see you
Nice to meet you, Ted- what is "Pappou"?
pappou is greek for grandfather and Ted was my dad's name, He passed away this summer so I created a name to remember him by. My name is Penny
Ragalla - he was a US vice president who killed Alexander Hamilton in a duel.
My Dad just died two months ago. We have that in common! Nice name!
July 3rd, and I'm sorry for your loss. My dad suffered with kidney disease. Was on dialysis for almost 6 years
July 27, sudden death due to anuerysm,...very hard, this.
And I am sorry for your loss, too.
so sorry
My dad died a year ago August - the pain easess and you can say 'Thanks for the memories'. After a while Jai you start thinking that at least he didn't have a long time being an invalid - my dad went very sudddenly as well.
He died on my daughter's bi8rthday, which made it aq nightmare for her. It still seems surreal. Thank you for the support.
((((jai))))
and JFB and Pappou too
Jai how dreadful for your daughter.
Ty, Sprite, all of you have been terrific to me.
And back at you, Sprite-didn't you lose a friend?
thanks, sprite, 2006 is a year to forget. We had 3 deaths, my grandmother, my dad and 8 days later my uncle. It's been really rough on my mom. I have her living with me now
yes, she died last week, funeral was last Monday.
oh, so sorry
We are suffering Babblers! But we Babble on. TY for being here despite yoour loss, Sprite.
Thanks sprite - its support from friends we see and don't see that helps so much (((((all of us))))). You can never have too many!
It is a good place to be, @ Babble ;)
((((((Hugs to alll))))) The best place to be!
Got to be off, good hunting all and thanks for being just what you are :)
PappouTed we had a year like that in 2001 -both my in-laws and my mum died and my daughters marriage broke up.
bye, sprite, heading out in 5 also, time to get ready for work
I just wish my insomnia would ease up. I haven't slept well since Dad's death. So I come here and clue away!
Bye, all!
It will jai - you have to go through it and its different for everyone
Now, for clues....????
TY< JFB. TY so much.
it'll take time. A nice thing happened last week. I went to pay my cable bill which includes my phone and I mentioned that it makes a funny dial tone. They told me that I had messages on voice mail. I told them I don't use it and to delete them, but she said go home and listen to the messages then you can call and cancel. I went home, I listened and the first message was from my dad on his birthday. I'm so glad I didn't cancel
Oh, wow!
yup, it's only a few seconds and it's his giggle, but it's there to listen to anytime I want
Wow PappouTed how great that was. Had the same sort of thing last week - cleared out the hall coat rack and found Dad's favourite cap that he was going to collect but didn't have time.
cool, JFB
That's neat!
Well, I reached 100 words and it's time to go. See you all tonight
bye! ty for (((((()))))))!!!!!!!!
I said about an hour ago I was going - I'm so glad I stayed. Time to pretend to be a Domestic Goddess!! bbl
Bye!
i am going to try to sleep since no one wants clues.....
id like some clues before you go please!!!

hi again!!
hi mrp!
hi mrp
how was the sashimi?
hello Mrvicepresident :P
yumbo!!
I have never had sashimi octopus before! it was different!
it's cooked a little first, otherwise it would be a slimy mess!
yes, you are right fran! it was pinkish :)
I'd hope it was cooked first ;)
now I have found out that sashimi scallops are divine!
Best meal I ever had was venison sashimi ... with raw egg and sesame seeds
venison sashimi (carpaccia?) would be a treat!!
some things aren't meant to be raw....specially eggs ;)
You'd be surprised Colhad - that's what I thought till I tried it.
raw eggs! make my stomach turn green and then drop out!!
Supposedly the Korean way ...
in Guam we have a small wild deer species roaming the jungle and raw venison with lemon, shoyu, onions and hot pepper is a treat at the best parties.
Sounds great Fran
it is great angb! my mouth is watering just thinking about it.
I want ice cream... and a large amount!
My sound was studying about whale hunting ... Japanese have whale icecream
okay mrp, you just need to stop! it's the middle of the night here and no sashimi or ice cream is close at hand.
oh sorry fran!! LOL ;)
hmmm, don't know if that sounds too good angb. i'd try it though.
:-)
poor whales
After the whale hunting bit I don't know about my moralistic side - maybe a taste.
whale hunting is an atrosity... and the bullshit they say (for scientific study) is what upsets me the most. Obviously the whale hunting countries have a taste for it or they wouldn't hunt it. Also, the blubber is very useful in industry. Still. Poor whales.
They teach children in Japanese shcools to eat whale. Free whale meat for lunch or something.
that's a shocker angb
why can't they have whale nuggets... it could be turnip with essence of whale... like some fast food restaurants do here with chicken nuggets
It was quite nasty doing the project - my 8 year son has decided he is going to be a marine biologist and protect dolphins and whales.
is that true mrp?...so vegetarians can indulge
good on him!
that's cool angb!
there is a company in Perth that imports vegetarian chicken nuggets... they are expensive as heck, but yes, you can indulge! They taste quite ok
I am rather proud of him.
how bizzare
you should be Angb! he has a heart and soul of gold!
not you angb, i'd be proud of him too
You can see are from downunda ... hope Aus is supporting the banning of whale hunting ...
they are supporting it unfortunately
Aaah - the almighty economic dollar?
Australia nonetheless recognises the needs of some subsistence cultures to continue traditional whaling methods and the use of whale products to meet demonstrated traditional, cultural and dietary needs.... ergo, hunt whales
It seems that the Japanese did not start eating whale until after WW2 so it is supposedly all BS
Hi hi
correctamundo!
hi lynxxx
hi lynxxx!
hi lynxxx
Hi lynxxx
how can jonny-boy justify that stance??
There are a lot of body parts in this grid br 6/24
jonny is just following the sheep... they can only call on everyone else to help stop it... then it will be
pa6/21 An adhesive label designed to be attached to a key on a keyboard to indicate some non-standard character which can be accessed through that key. Pasties are likely to be used in APL environments, where almost every key is associated with a special character.
thanks angb! missed that one

I used my family as guineapigs tonight... seemed to go down well :)
i'll try jg!
Please! - theres nothing in my house to eat (no, I'm not exactly domesticated) and you're all making me very hungry
sunny, sounds like that would be a hit with my family as well.
well only if you want to!

How far is everyone getting before they need the list? this seems as though it could be hard.
I start with the list...
havent bothered with the list yet but only at 87
I usually start before the list is updated everyday
TY. Cute sheltie MRP and good photo
I don't let myself succumb to getting the list before I have at least half the total words. The last few can sometimes be a struggle.
like to get at least half way before resorting to it
the list is my saviour
I have to go out tomorrow so I started at with the list at about 120 ... but I think it's harder today.

mrp, it ends the way frozen water starts
I have that one!! waaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh

haz - I'm sorry - i don't understand which question of mine you were answering
wolvie-- my last br6, which may not be THE last br6, is the mammary
THX jai...that ci7 clue finished them off for me!
Sorry Wolvie - I thought you were asking for the last br6/24, maybe I've got mixed up, as I've not got to the list yet.
so yours starts with the mammary holder and s?
the mamary itself, not the holder.
I am asking for the last br 6, haz - it comes after nasty kids.. I am so stuck
*mammary
ahhhh! thanks, grace
YW< Grace!
The last one that I have is the br6/24, as featured on women and chickens.
*whine*
chicken mammaries!
clues for the two I words in the last column?
light just dawned haz - sometimes the easy ones are the worst for me
thank you jai!!
all done--have a great day everyone!
Don't worry Wolvie - I always quote the day I had to persuade myself that soup was a word. It looked so unlikely.
whew - ...LOL haz - thanks - B's are done
ir6 & 7- ir+ "N" sound+ "ix" sound- then plural
congrats Kateq
YW, rae!
~~~>>>>>@@@@%%%%%%BOOM!!! For Katieq!
Thank you Jai
Y W, Jean!
wait . . . chickens have mammaries?
the white meat does. ;-)
In the land of babble they do. Whatever it takes to make a clue work!
Warning: Sick joke to follow. You know what the REAL definition of ai44+ ai4/5 is/are? They are smelless bodily gasses.....
Betcha you never forget that word again!
<sound of joke falling dead on floor>
Jai, you MUST have a better one
tr4/7 is just "treble clef" for short.....How 'bout that?
Jai can you give me two clues Please I have the TR 8/40 and the BO 8/50 what are the other two PLEASE
pl of IN 7 & Ro8- study of androids....
bye wolvie...I'm off for a while too...bye all
en6.21 clue pls
You see, I play Babble with my diabolical daughter, Knutmeg...and we make up definitions for common Babble words so we don't forget them....So they are a little crazy...
lol jai...I play all alone
I have tried to get people around the office to play but NO ONE has ever played boggle so they don't understand how to play
For Pete's sake, it's a word search puzzle!!! How hard is that to understand????
(Of course, we don't tell them that the words are really, really obscure.....)
how many words today all?
272
i play alone, its a sanctuary for me lol. 272 gob
Jai they are dumb lol
sadly this is a HELP DESK environment
lain, lol,
I bet they buy those magazines and circle the words....
ROFL<,Lain!!
lol yea
oh what is the last pa 4
sorry pr 4/5
they cant grasp the concept that words CURVE instread of straight lines
A room full of Patricias....
Oh, dear.....Help Desk????.....Now I understand a great deal about 1-800-get-help!!!!
lol
pr+ where it's **
and we do support for hospitals...and it seems the people at the hospital are just....DER!!!!! *tilts head*
ROFL!!!!
lain, what would ppl call you for help with
mostly password resests
my server must be slow sorry x
We had a client once call SIX times within eight hours...All password resets
Oh, dear, never heard of pen and paper, eh? Easier to call 1-800-get-pswd.....
lol
people mostly say "I can't remember all these passwords we have...." (At most they usually have 2-3 to remember)
and when we tell them to restart the computer they turn the monitor on and off and say ok it rebooted
Again, a pen and paper in a strategic spot-like by the computer- really helps for those who need it....oh, what a world, what a world.....
ROFL to pieces!
The joys of a call center - glad I don't do that anymore
yea lol...
@ sap: its not all that bad its just you get those idiots
I wish I had a dime for every time I was tempted to tell them to pack the computer up and return it because they were too dumb to use it
I did it for 7 years Lain
lol
ok ok you got me there 8 Months here
I recently had a great deal of trouble with "a major phone company"- my internet connection wasn't working...the calls go to India, and half the people I called had such thick accents that I kept having to say, "Can you repeat that?" They thought I was really, really dumb....
I had the same problem jai - I finally gave up and got a new connection through my cell phone - it works great and it goes wherever I go
Sounds like a good idea.....Especially since I found out that it wasn't me, but a problem with THEIR wiring down the street....
phone jack sounded like "fun juk", for example....
when they finally figured out the problem on their end they had given my dsl line away to someone else.
lol Outsourcing
lol jai
ROFL
"Does your fun juk haf a filtah?"
I worked for an online banking company - we actually had a guy email us all the time for recipes - he thought it was online baking
lol excellent sap
Oh, now that beats everything.....ROFL Again...
and then there were some that thought they were calling a 900 sex line instead of an 800 help line - that was interesting
OMG!!!!!
jai I actually started sending him recipes whenever he would email - it made the job interesting :)
Now THAT'S customer Service!!!!
exactly ! LOL
But what did you do for the 900 callers????
referred them to Mark Foley?
told them the call was being reported, that we had their address, and if they didn't stop calling we would call the police - needless to say it didn't help
I'm going to wet my pants....
hehe
Too much information.
NEVER Haz
lol
yay 70 all by myself so far
lol *chug chug chug*
I'm 1/2 way - I think I can I think I can
Raise your hand if you want the 7 list again...
Pick me! Pick me!
still missing 2 7s the po & bo
remember this is my second day lol
Why not indicate where it is in the chat log so people can scroll back if they want?
Okay, Haz, I'll repost it and remember what time I posted it so I can do that for the rest of the day.....: 7:51 am jaianniah ProfileUnited States 7's: ar7: a type of fancy craftsman; bo7: having to do with plants (think biology); ci7 :"sign" sp. diff.+ a direcvtion; cr7: Latinate ending of 6 before it, having to do with Christ....;in7 amount of momentum- build on the 5/10 before it; ir7 pl. of 6 before- ir+ "n" sound + "IX" sound; na7: more mean; pa7: more gluey; po7 one who uses the "pot"; re7: re-hammers a na4; ro7: like a mechanical android; so7: so+ past tense of light+ not off but **; st7 one who gets spots on their clothes; tr7: commit tr*****- betray one's country; tr7: if trees had toes, they'd have to trim this (minus an e) tr+ vowel+ na5; Hope these help you. Jai Copy and paste!!!
BO7- bo+ sun***ned skin+ "ICK" letters
TY jaia
yw, lynxx
TY jai - you've just helped me past the halfway mark
Terrific,JFB! Go, go, go!
Love your new icon jaia
As I said, I took that photo off my back steps this morning...the dawn was gorgeous with the mist....Katrina took out a lot of the trees, tho...so sad.....but at least the ones that are left are now standing straight instead of leaning.....
What a year this has been....
What a beautiful view to have - we look out on other houses front and back.
It's piney wetlands- we have all sorts of interesting critters and plants...even insectivore plants.....and alligators, to boot....when they migrate in the fall...
I hear they prefer Labs for lunch, so I keep a close watch on my dog, Ivan (a Hurricane refugee) who is a Lab...LOL
The alligators are probably less dangerous than some of the neighbours!!
VERY TRUE!!!!!! We have these neighbors....there are seven adults in that house, plus four kids...eight cars, which they fix at 11PM by revving the engines after they have a couple of cases of beer...you get the idea.....They also have five horses which graze in their front yard when they want the lawn mowed....<sigh>
Actually, the horses have to pick their way around the cars for the grass....
Now you know why Alabama's state slogan is "NOT Mississippi"....
I think their relatives live in Maryland jai - no horses - just cars -
but the house owner's nickname is "Gator"
NOBODY throws a car away in Mississippi....you never know when you might need a part from that 1973 Rambler....
lol
Gator! I love it!
hey Ypsi are you there?
clue for os6/21 please?
The cars here don't rust...they are slowly digested by fire ants....
os+ word that sounds like "sign"
thanks, jai!
yw
ooh I didn't have that one yet thanks jai
hello
hi harpjane
hi harpjane!!
is it easy today?
I'd do the 6's, but there are 48 of them, and Haz would kill me....not to mention all the room it would take up in the chat log.....
Hiya, Jane!
No
so so, harp -- I've been at it for almost 2 1/2 hours and have 12 left ...
the first 100 were easy....
HJ, I clued the 7's below, if you're interested.....
howdy folks, I upgraded my account
congrats Colhad
Good for you, Colhad -- nice to see your face!
Hooray for Colhad! Welcome to the (Addiction)Game!
yep, addicted is the word, but damn annoying game at times
Yes, especially when you see phantom words...I've been sitting here so long, I'm seeing phantom sentences...."Probe Br%" is the one that is really getting to me....
That's BR5
jai I am sure it is right there but I keep monkey typing and cannot get the ar 7 got all others with you help thanks
i have the cr6/21 but not the cr7 explain latinate
It is a little like "artesian"- ar+ "*** the season" + not a but a*
ursh, it usually means add another vowel
ursh add another vowel to your cr6
to the end
Latin plurals sometimes use the form of adding e to a word which ends in a.
latinate means pl by adding an e to the end
ok thanks got it at last
ar7/28 - a workman
hint for na6/21 please?
oh yay i got all the 7s now
work & man are the two used in the same sentance ?
It begins horribly and ends in a twitch, ch1212.
LOL M3 ... thanks, haz
na+ **op sign+ "IK" sound
or, fantastic without the fa and one t
got it, thanks jai and haz
i's sure the Japanese hold their pants up with erastic
I'm stuck on the last br6/24
very first ta6/18 ??
hetty - it's the mammary appendage, I think.
chicken br**** for dinner
lol ursh
:)
pane
ta+ N sound + "Ya" vowles
Of course. Thanks Haz, and to think I've been carrying a couple around with me for years and yeas!
OOPS!
I know! How are you, hetty?
that's a word for boobs?
There are lots of br6/24 words, this is the last one we're talking about.
Please notice that chickens have them, too.
wow, odd word -- thanks, jai
Tor, must be all the talk about chicken appendages got you in a dither....bad boy!!!!
yw, ch....
oh, THOSE boobs!
Thanks Haz and Jai. Apart from a slow bra** today (not seeing beyond the first vowel) I'm fine
do turtles have them?
Yes, doctor boobs....
I just saw a T shirt: "They're man boob! Get over it!"
Make that man boobs
No, turtles are not mammals....but I am sure someone will find a pic of a turtle with br*****
I hate kids.
airt
could someone please clue cr6/21 and cr7/32, I'm thinking that 21 would use the S to become 32, I've tried a few things but nothing seems to work
lol klaurel
Talking about chikens having these appendages of ours,I remember the old joke abut Dylan Thomas, mystified byb the American habit of calling chicken bre*** "white meat", offering his hostess a corsage with the injunction "Here, stick this on your white meat"
The Grand Canyon web cam is really cool right now...http://www2.nature.nps.gov/air/w ebcams/parks/grcacam/grcacam.cfm
and I hate mothers
My mom came home from California, smothered my son with love and he got sick and now I am sick
no dont hate mothers
latin word for Christ- drop the h, pl. has an "e" ending- that is a Latin pl.
Now, how about the last bre4? Not the gun?
colhad- it's the use of the latin plural again.
No, hetty, brilliance I think.
I need a nap - be back later
br+ "N" sound
Or b plus spanish river
Sorry hetty - the last br4 before the briliance is indeed the gun.
thankyou Haz, Jai, champions :)
is it just me or is it hard today
Thanks Haz. The one In wanted describes the way you clue--with br***
Haz is the Champ- her clues have class.
It's HARD, hurshy.
Hurshy, it is hard.
shorty...what do you hear from faerie...when is she getting back online
ouch both
she waiting for her internet person to come hook it up
I miss her I wished theyed hurry up
ok I will
she is she sounds great
A tree with toenails???
A tre with toenails? hmmmmmmmmmmmmm
damn typos!!!
I am going to thank you for your help earlier good Night to All Babblers
'night tiny - sleep well
ahh. there was another Aussie here besides me :)
tr7/28 - the beginning of a woodland plant together with what a manicurist manicures or a hammer hammers.
yes colhad how are you tonight
not too bad
icky puzzle
Good I am taking my body off to bed now bye
And I've just discovered that if you remove the t from the beginning of tr7/28 and tr8, you get two more valid words.
why isn't st**pon a word?
ahh I saw that too, nothing wrong with a dirty mind I say :P
it IS a word in my life
=O
mornin' all!
the funny thing is that pa***e is a word
hi Tea
What does pa***e mean? is it dirty??
no, but you put it on nipples
according to the dictionary - nipple concealing devices, or stickers taht go on a keyboard
*that
Womans or animals nipples??
people's
strippers
Why would u conceal your nipples??
I thought that pa**** was a type of turnover?
morning everybody.
I wouldn't, but legally in this country often to be in public you must, if you are female or if it is your kink
in some places, revealing the nipples is illegal
I thought so too, charm, that's why I looked it up - mabye a different spelling?
Im lost???
the question is, why is it legal for men to show theirs but not for women?
go, April!
(o)(o)
noce ones, tor
found the crayons but cant find covers for torgones picture
*nice - I have extrememly fat fingers this morning!
I have to ask the same, april, especially since some guys have bigger ones then women! :D
oooo, I am FAR too young for this....
you have a husband, Charm, not too young
or maybe, it should be said that those guys need to 'put on a shirt!'. Yuckie
what's the opinion on this grid?
hi all. can i have a clue for on5 plz
fun?
NEVER too young
nothing worse than a man with bigger (o)(o) than me!!!!
Krys?
on5/12 - adds the ever present (today) nervous twitch
fun grid. GREAT chat!
hi april
thanx haz
ok, what the heck, i'll dive in.
must get caffiene first
You're welcome, oggy.
thanks from me, too, haz
No problem!
That pa***** is for when one isn't in a position to wear br**. (why has this opportunity never presented itself to me?)
shoot, need to leave in ten minutes and haven't even showered! school awaits, bye all
bye April
pida, are you around?
Charm, or when your nipples are VERY sensitive to slight breezes
(mine)
bye
and we have br**** in the grid, too!
don't forget, you wear it on your br****
jinx!
i need clueangers for the boob one
thanks for the info, April...lol
which boob one - there are three?
the boobs themselves, what you wear to hold up the boobs, and what you wear to cover the nips
That reminds me of a bad Schwarzenegger movie where he travels to Mars....
three bobs ;)
or boobs
Hi msree, what you want
to cover the nips
isn't bad Schwarzenegger movie redundant?\
pa**** - not the present but the pa** + two vowels
oh, the Conan ones (and the 1st Terminator) are SO bad that they're actually funny. The rest are just ....
morning all! biggish grid, how is it for difficulty?
exercises in testosterone, perhaps?
Verging on the driving one to madness difficulty.
Hey, Stid. not too bad....
just wanted to let you know I'm here and will be working the grid while I'm working
oh i thought that was a pie or cake
hi msree
exercises in pot boiling, GoBraves.
any clue for the no6??
we thought that, too
*thinking* (Haz says madness, Charm says not bad...) *splash*
Hi stidmama
no6 - more curious than another.
OK msree, I'm taking time out for crafts, see ya about one pm
later pida!
Just don't blame me, stidmama! (2 to find)
see ya later pida
She don't know me vewy well, do she?
go Haz go!
thanks Haz...it helps if I use the right no tho...lol
hi stid, like the shirt... haven't ordered mine yet
of course, Haz has been up and at this for MANY hours longer than we in the US... :-)
You've got that right! One to go.
I like it too -- the medium fits me just fine, even with my football-type shoulders.
*holding breath for Haz*
good morning all -- just have a few minutes before I have to go out.
hello Nan! how's the weather on the links?
Breathe out! This could take a while!
*exhaling rapidly*
I keep wanting to type "finial" *sigh* already it begins.
too cold for me now
Done!
Hooray haz!
Well done, Haz!
YAY Haz!
hi Jac... & torgone!
What a relief to get this finished. I should lie down in a darkened room to recuperate but the dog is giving me meaningful looks....
Hi Stid. Like the Babble shirt!:)
And Jacula - how did the cat fare at the vet's?
Here's the 7's again....sorry, Haz..... 7:51 am jaianniah ProfileUnited States 7's: ar7: a type of fancy craftsman; bo7: having to do with plants (think biology); ci7 :"sign" sp. diff.+ a direction; cr7: Latinate ending of 6 before it, having to do with Christ...(add e).;in7 amount of momentum- build on the 5/10 before it; ir7 pl. of 6 before- ir+ "n" sound + "IX" sound; na7: more mean; pa7: more gluey; po7 one who uses the "pot"; re7: re-hammers a na4; ro7: like a mechanical android; so7: so+ past tense of light+ not off but **; st7 one who gets spots on their clothes; tr7: commit tr*****- betray one's country; tr7: if trees had toes, they'd have to trim this (minus an e) tr+ vowel+ na5; Hope these help you. Jai Copy and paste!!!
Dogs do that, even when they haven't a thought in their heads!
Cpmgrats. Haz -- still have 145 to find
hi jai! thanks Jac.
Haz - the fresh air (or rain, as it is here) will do you good!
Hi everyone! How goes the babble?
hi stid
Oh, it's raining here too, but I really do feel like a walk to clear my head.
Hi, stid- just popped in to say hi to you....How R U?
hi oggy and gramma!
I am well, Jai -- did you see the pics of Grant's costume?
like the shirt stid
I will post a link at frappr.com/stidmama I am rather proud of it.
Haz - Tiggsey - He made a vile mess in cat carrier on way there & back & yowled the entire way! He had an antibiotic injection & has to go back again tomorrow. (Tax cost £18 in the end & vet fees £17.17.)
Hooray, the vet was cheaper!
I will go and look in a sec-
Taxi cost, I meant.
LOve the Shirt, Stid!
But back tomorrow? I bet you're looking forward to that....
thanks Jai -- link is up.
*confused look* Taxi more than the vet? Wow.
Haz - Daughter's taking him tomorrow. She can chase him round the house and have 10 attempts at stuffing him into the cat carrier, too! Both cats have to go next week for their vaccinations.:(
Can't the one cat get his vaccinations while he's there tomorrow?
K- will go see. Have to run- good to "see" you- take a peek at my icon- I took the pic from my back steps this morn at dawn...was quite lovely, thought you'd love it...
bye all. bbl
Oh Jai -- it's LOVELY! (as are all the photos I have seen from you). see you later!
Stid - No. He can't have vaccinations while he's fighting an infection. (He got a cat bite to the skull.)
the blue mountain one is still in the chat log, though.
I wish you luck, Jacula - it sounds awful.
BBL. T Y, Stid (K). Will email you soon. Bye!
Oh. yicky. missed that part of the conversation... {{hugs kitty gently}}
Thanks Haz. I'd better go with my daughter tomorrow in case he (the cat) does what he did in taxi yesterday and barges the door off the carrier.
Anyway, off I go for my walk. Happy (ish) hunting everyone.
Have a good walk, Haz. I'm off for a soak in the bath soon.
clue for at5 plz
entryways
Do you see the pic now in the chat log?
jai - it will depend on whether people have refreshed or logged in since you changed it, i think. i don't think you can control it beyond that.
Hello there, Stiddy!
Silly me I forgot to add the cookie one to lickety
Cookie?
ankh -- another word for box -- delete first letter and insert a p
pa 6/21 - add onto the pa 4/5 before it (small bits) with opp of off
whew - the p's are done
on to the dreaded re's.
I used to have a pidgeon too. Got out of the cage and our lab ate it legs. I'm not good at putting animals down and it seems fine, but watching it try to land after flying...I don't do well with pets.
Though when we were hamster-sitting (pre-galoot days) there was a big plastic ball that we put it in and it would merrily run around the floor, followed by the little dog who was curious but not threatening. I swear they were playing together!
bunny, have you ever considered a pet rock?
clue for pt6/21?
Hampster Snoopy came to us to survive, but I know little of Hampster care, except what Evanovich tells in her books
NO! kids are much, much harder than pets... just they eventually grow up and take care of themselves.
No, I guess not, lol
finally monkeyed it
LadyN = reverse the last two letters from the 1st pr4/5.
That and the hamster hid well under the tire, I wasn't expecting it. I make sure all the kids are on the porch when I leave...
our dachsunds would enjoy chasing the hamster, unfortunately.
p + '** the night before xmas + ** apple a day....
Well, he would be in a plastic ball rolling about. He does have an excercise wheel and ladder to his dining area already.
Smart woman, that bunny! by the time we got our place, the kids were old enough to know not to stand behind a vehicle... but when they were younger and we lived in the rental, I made sure they were INside the gate before I pulled out!
Hello Bloodaxe - are you exhausted yet? I found this grid a bit of a chore.
Bye Wolvie - thanks so much for the clues
i'm really reaching for the words now haz. I've finished three in a row, and i don't want to give up on this one, but i just don't think i have it in me.
How many words to go?
117!
at least i'm half-way, eh?
Hi again folks. I'm back to find my last 84....:(
Merciful goodness!
hi jac.
Hello Jacula!
Back from lunch to find the last 48... :)
in5.12 the second one pls. 47 left for me - and its a struggle!
Bloodaxe - if you're finding it a chore, then don't persist. But if you want some help, then I'll do my best.
I thought you'd finished, Haz? Are you just here for the chat?
in5/12 the second. Starts like a continent where ladies wear sa4/4s and ends like that same word.
Jacula - I thought I'd see how the grid was treating people.
Thanks Haz
haz I'm confronting my bete noir, the re's. Any clues please?
The re words include two which really stumped me for a while, but they really only refer to a hammer being in action again.
thanks haz. i'm just sort of doing things and returning to the gird every once in a while.
Well, Haz, I'm glad you're here 'cos you just gave me to more words. Thanks.
re6/30 - if you lose something, St Jude is reputed to help you re6/30 it.
Oh, and two more! Thanks again, Haz.
re4/7 - add the Kipling poem.
I have what you do at harvest, the sublime faculty with which we think, and he one that looks like once again hammerng--beyond those I'm stumped
re4/4 is used to keep a horse under control
Oh, and another. Thank you, Haz & St. Jude!
Thanks, got the Kipling ("Do you, like KIpling?"
"I don't know, I've never kipled"
Lol, hetty.
re4/4, next in the list, re plus a form of to be, culminating in a Brazilian coin.
And I have my horse under control too
re4/5 - finishes the re words, r plus 'finish'
hi, all! ap 5/12, plz?
ap5/12 - a plus a place where ships come and go
ty, haz! :)
got the finish. Now the coin one I wonder about
It's been in before, hetty and is the same structure as Spanish six.
Monkeyed it, ta.
Now all I'm missing is the re6/30
anyone have a clue for the first ar6
plural of the ar 5 -- place where sports are played
ahhh ty
yw :)
re + fi4/8
fi 5/18?
re 6/30: locate again
re6/30 - St Jude, being the patron saint of lost causes would help you to re6/30 anything you have mislaid.
the other re 6?
The other re6 - the answer to a question, why you do something.
OR re6/12 - hammer in once more
ra6.18 - the first one pls
ra + t 4 (fork part)
Yup--I calle that the divine faculty. But I can't see the word re***** (AS WHEN SICK)
TY Jen!
last pa 6/21, plz?
April - it refers to what hammers hammer or what manicurists manicure.
ahhh
yw! :)
pa6/21 - add the prong of a fork - it has the same structure as the ra6/18 clued by Jen below.
I sAW IT AS SOON AS i LO9OKED BACK AT THE GRID. tHANKS, hAZ
um . . . i think hetty is excited
a different clue for the re 6, haz? -- not getting the first one!
I'm sorry, haz - - i should have said 2nd to last pa 6/21
Isn't that always the way, hetty. By the end of the grid today I would happily swear that some letters had appeared out of nowhere.
pa6/21 (second to last) - uses the pa4/5 then adds the first letters of when you are sick.
that's it . . . TY haz!
cybernan - Which clue are you not getting - the re**** to believe, the relocate something lost or the rehammer one?
must go to quartet practice, but I'll bbl -- have fun, all!
the to believe one
good one haz
Not excited, jen more like flustered
Cybernan - sorry. There are 3 re6 words. The one you are looking for is re plus a vowel then a male child.
If you do something, cybernan, you may be asked why; what is your motive or re****.
Bye Jen!
*poof* :)
'Bye Jen.
thanks, haz & jacula -- can't believe I didn't see that one!
well, need to go for awhile -- I am through the o's and have 103 more -- hopefully later! be safe
It's this game, cybernan, it scrambles your br5/14 sometimes!
I'm down to 57 now after a small burst of activity.
en6/21 please
en6/21 refers to something being passed through the maternal line. en plus a nervous twitch
I'll leave you to clue Haz, unless I see you getting really busy again. I'm diving back into the grid for now.
Okay, Jacula. And don't forget to breathe.....
I'm down to 47, all s's and t's. Wish me lick. I have test (audition) actors this evening for "The Lady's Not for Burning" so I'm pressed for time
thanks Haz
Got me snorkel & flipper on, Haz!;D
ci7?
by nan, and thanks
'Bye Cybernan. I fed one of those hours ago. If I don't join him again in bed soon he may expect a cooked breakfast. EEK!
Seriously, like me, when he gets up food is not on his mind in a heavy way. A cup of tea and a cigarette... but not huge food.
had to log back in again to ask -- isn't it 2:00 am for you?!
We really must address the cigarette thing soon, if not for our health but for travelling abroaf. We were the last 2 folks to smoke inside Birmingham (UK) airport waiting for our flight to Crete. The ban inside began at midnight that night. The ban outside (anywhere on the airport land) started a couple of months later. Personally, I think it is an infringement of personal rights/civil liberties. I am sick to death of this Nanny state.
cyber - 2:04am. Yes.
yahoooooooooooooooendy
Have you finished chj?
yes jac
Colhad - I don't disagree with you there, re the eating and smoking. But the Blair government has gone too far with that we can and cannot do. Not that I've ever been a Labour supporter anyway... However, I make it a rule to try not to talk religion or politics to friends. Have far too many students in the house.. get into lots of discussions, as I have done all my life. I prefer not to do so when relaxing on 'The Net'.
