Flip...flop.. blop! So late! Hey, Fran, I want to get a copy of your bat icon from yesterday -- where may I find it?
hey taz
ankh, i did a google search for jack-o-lantern (exactly that way) and it came up on a site that explains the history of the jack-o-lantern
ty for kind welcome
dilly -- I didn't mean the pumpkin. I'll email you what I was referring to.
Thanks, I'll go look...
if you have trouble finding it, let me know and i'll get the exact link.

kids enjoying/enjoyed halloween?
toes would be worse!
we just got back from trick-or-treating
how is yanno not a word? ;) or tutone?
what were they dressed as?
my kids came home and sorted their candy by type, then placed them in order of preference
we took them to a small quiet neighborhood and spent about half an hour
very practical nat!!
i made home-made pirate costumes from clothes they didn't fit anymore.
we ran out of candy, hubby went through everything in the house and then when we got home, we gave away some of the kids' candy - hee hee
cuuuute!
we put mustache and goatee on the girl...ala orlando bloom
then I spent a half an hour getting all the makeup off their faces...
an 7 40
too bad she wouldn't hold still for a picture!
ooh natasha, how fun!
they were so excited I didn't even begrudge them their grumbling over the face cleaning
that souns so cute
how old are your kids natasha?
they are seven and a half--boy/girl twins
taz, somebody else found an7/40 but all I can see is an4/5 *blush*
Greetings, babblers!

jill look a little bit more just do not get flusterd and an ......
thanks taz!
yeah, it always makes me really an7 when I can't find a word
ah, I see -- different place - thanks taz
We decorated and waited... got only six kids. :( Most go to school gyms for fake trick-or-treating. It's not a dangerous neighborhood,it's just that the parents here are perhaps a bit... lazy.
hi peeps
it's sad isn't it ankh--I miss seeing tons of kids
woo hoo! thanks taz and natasha!
hi colhad!
I need lickety's, hope it's updated soon
hi Fran
sure which is the blush
hi col
thansk taz and natasha

we only had 5 kids -- aren't many little ones on our street ( only 25 houses on a dead end road)
keep thinking I can see venom in the grid
I can see "yvonne" to the exclusion of all else.
phantom - shave
and suave
32 kids here, much less than years past
Lol on the Yvonne, Ankh...
Yeah, Natasha, I really miss it -- not just because our decorations are wasted, but because the kids are missing out on walking through the crackling leaves, smelling those smells, all dressed up...
wow, nrkii had 500 kids at her house!
had a whole family mom and dad and kids in leotards being the incredibles
phantom: student
GRACIOUS, Fran!
32 kids!!!, that'd drive me mad
wow is right! we had about 80 kids
i guess halloween is a big deal in her neighborhood.
sounds like it fran--that's a lot of trick or treaters
heh, txs, Erda
Hi everyone
she ran out of candy and had to hide. but you can read about it on her blog tomorrow i'm sure.
hi muse!
And "Yvonne" is dating "Noah"
hi mymuse
hi muse
my sister has 7 kids though, keep her goin too I can tell ya
interesting s5 that is usually a proper noun, but it also a type of cabbage.
ARB, Halloween probably gets close to zero play in Israel?
stalled with 41 to go --- think I'll call it a night.
phantom - suave
Nan, did YOU make that pumpkin??
awesome nan! night!
thats so funny jilli cause i JUST tried that
fran what one is cabbage?
there's a guy in Spain who produces 7 Stone Pumpkins!
i wish yoda would work...
even nan is stalled! guess this IS a tough one
its just been on the telly!
sa5/20 taz
zero minue. It's not in the Jewish calendar. We have Purim (Book of Esther) here and kids get dressed up, but no trick or treating.
can't recall the last time some kids came trick or treating at our front door, although Halloween isn't that big in Australia
I knew that part, and the Muslims too, of course... but Imean, the Copts probably don't "do" Halloween...? And there's not enough expat Americans to make a show?
ty will look
taz - it's also Italian royalty
Hi, all! Happy All Saints Day!
hi jai!
ok ty tea
Hey, Jai! Same to you.
hiya jai
hi jai!
(((((jai))))))
hello to all... I am in with 82 left to go and am amazed that there seems to be no words left to find... a babble block of some sort...
Hi Fran, T &C, Taz, Debb!
No one would react -- how can you get your kids out to trick or treat when no one in the neighborhood would know what to do. And the religious always would remind you that it is a pagan-Christian thing. Which incidently they do on New Years Eve as well.
I'm stalling at 42....
I'm stuck on 49 to go, really need lickety's
Hey, Ank! TY!
hi blaze!
They who on NYE? And which NY?
I'm stuck at 50 left
41 left here.
stats on the single y word please?
I remember a Halloween party at boarding school in England. We bobbled for apples, had to guess hidden smells, and best of all, had to go down in the dark to the "ghost hole" and shake hands with a "spook" (a teacher) who was holding a squishy rotten pear, eewwww!
how many words today please
108
Hey, when I was in israel during college we all got dressed up and went trick or treating around Mt. Scopus, people were amused and gave us whatever they had in their house. It was hilarious!
108
i did get an lovely a 7/40
108
78 left. ARB, some of the Christian churches here are protesting halloween.
I got a weird tu 7/44
yo4/7, mouldy
thank you
y4/7
thanks phenakis
Jilli, rotten pears? eeeew. ARB, who does what on which NYE? I got lost!
Ankh, it's All Hallows Eve and Nov 1 is All Saints Day. Why should a church object?
There are tu** of words that I can't get in this puzzle (a "pun")
Religious Jews oppose celebrating New Years Eve because it is St. Sylvester Night and comes from a pagan-Christian background.
He to*** with me...He wasn't serious!
So you mean 12/31 new year, not the Jewish religious new year.
hey guys...i am stuck here esp the e on the bottom right
And St. Sylvester Night is based on Janus, the pre-Christian Roman god of the change-of-year.
Of course. And Rosh Hashana (New Years) is a religious holiday -- family meals & synagogue kind of thing
ey** + ey**** (pl.)
Jilli, the Protestant churches here are not keen on All Souls NOR All Saints, and feel (with hefty justification) that Halloween has become secular (and with less justification, they feel it's downright demonic).
Did you get that, TO?
ty jai i have the plural...trying to finish i have a business trip and i won't be babbling
I did, jai - thanks!
I don't get it, Jai.
ty Jai
"Demonic" like Harry Potter, I suppose.
ay + jack**s+ pl.
Not *all* the Protestant churches, but some of the mega-churches and some of the more, ah... "doctrinaire" smaller churches. Yes, Jilli, H Potter is considered demonic by some. I had a colleague who was *afraid* of me because I played Dungeons & Dragons as a kid.
I mean ey
i have to be up in 5 hours, so I think I must flee...see you all later

My family thinks I saw my g-gramma as a child, though she had already gone.

I don't know what a Georgetown grad is
Mouldy, I'm so dense, I was still working on the horses after getting Georgetown's stone walls. I am, Jilli. I went to Georgetown. So I was able to get the clue about the oddly-named athletic teams there.
I think the Georgetown reference is also a word for bear, isn't it?
The weird to 7/44: like having been helped to learn by a special teacher, only with a "y" in place of the "r"
anhk? i've heard it means "the men" in grrek
No, Carol, not that I've ever heard. It's some antique phrase meaning "stone wall." Just dumb.

Who's scared of 13? Good morning all.
hello Haz
We've had our first frost of the autumn this morning. Bye bye begonias.
good morning....think we missed out on the frost.
Good morning Karys.
like sparrows, frosts were such a common thing in my childhood - we really don't have many frosts any more here - probably global warming. alhough I don't know why there aren't as many sparrows anymore !
we have a sparrow shortage too, we blamed it on the increased magpies and last year there did seem more sparrows and less magpies.
19 º ... flowers long gone ... put the tanning lotion away last week.
what country are you from Eggcorn?
Morning all - a bit rusty after a week away!
US
Good morning spellit - nice to see you back. How are you doing?

tu7/44 a young egyptian king played with these
Very good, mr president!

tu6 - made disapproving noises.
Sorry just realised that's what's being talked about.

Rearrange the letters of a woman's name (Queen's daughter) then a beverage letter on the end.
sn5/12, think of the stuff that you flick off the end of a cigarette, connect it up to as4/7
It has the same ending as a canvas dwelling (an5)
an 5 /10 = an + canvas dwelling! ex first letter !!!
oh!! got it now! thanks guys!!
Aha! Tks.
an7/40, someone is provoking you, builds onto an5/14
is the me 5 a fish?
im flittering back n forth so sorry if i miss any comments
me5/14, sort of sounds like a person who never stays long in one place, always moving
m3, it is a female bacchant - allegedly
bacchant is a priestess
i got given a dictionary for my birthday so i am a happy camper
UNO!!
Congratulations?!
oh no! suffering with the last one

ha 6/24 ?
Morning all. What's the grid like today?
morning
morning all
hi back trying to find words. :(
wow who has been feeding my monkey whilst i was gone?
lol herin, the grid doesn't look very friendly today
i just got at least 2 or 3 words by monkeying and im not paying attention. I am watching E.R and hunting for legal words
Good morning everyone. The first 71 weren't bad, but I'm bogged down now and don;t have your ha6/24 M3.
morning eva
how does yoda not be a word?
and why not shav?
or snes
shav is a real herb
might have a c in it though
i didn't know that
since I don't have anything more productive to do:Sorrel soup is a soup made from water, sorrel leaves, salt and egg yolks. It is known in Polish, Russian and Yiddish cuisines under names spelt variously schav, shchav, shav, shtshav, derived from the Polish name szczaw for sorrel. It is a kosher delicacy often served cold with sour cream
never heard of it, you learn something new every day
I don't know how I didn't notice the footwear until now...
there's a neat an7/40 too
Lots and lots of T's lol
hmmm i cant find a deffinition of a word i need
what word herin
if there's a straw vo__, why can't there be a ha_ vo__?
guess it's actually a straw poll, isn't it?
how is ovas not a word
oh its a legal word but i have the deffinition in another book.
because ovas is not the correct plural its ovum
oh ok how silly
i have bben nerding on 2 paper dictionaries a law dictionary and an online dictionary
its more annoying that i need to write the word patent in a sentence and i keep thinking shoes not legal stuff
lol
i keep thinking of my patent leather shoes
opps i said a word
why do you need to write about patents herin
you actually said 2 wrods herin-the a word too
oh opps double, this is what happens when you watch tv, babble, research, laugh at adds on t.v and talk to the other half
need to know the basic meaning of the english legal version of patent. I know what it means but i just got to write it
cat care time. Back later
ok eva
are you studying law then herin?
yes and no. I am studying cert 3 in buisness legal admin, get a job then study law, long way about it but my friends dad did it at the age of 40
oh ok, good luck with it :)
ta. this is why im doing babble otherwise i would stab someone
there are so many things that should be words, why won't it take anno
um shake fist at the screen
morning everyone.....got a clue for tu 7/44 please
Don't have it yet pida
I have the an7, which is incidentally what this grid is making me feel
ok then, I'll just keep monkeytyping. I've got ten more minutes before I leave for work. thanx for the an 7, kthdsn
yw
pida do you have the to 5/16? add a tu to that for the tu 7
What's with all the Ts?
ty sheryl
thnx Sherylr
mp
anyone know what it means?
nope
ok I think I'm stuck now with 45 to go
Good Morning Babblers :)
hi faerie
morning faerie, how's things going"
much much much better :)
ey 6/24?
beautiful, glad for you
pl the ey 4/6 cauze
tu7 - relates to the French verb - to use the tu form of you rather than vous.
thanks
And ovum is the singular, ova is the plural so ovas would be overkill.
on the ey 6, the 4 word is already plural. how do you plural it?
ty for clearing up the ovas thing haz, but I need more help with that tu7
nm got it
use the second vowel and the s
tu7 - tu plus the past tense of a plaything made into a verb.
oh duh, I already have it, I really should wake up!
wow that is quite the block of T's
this grid is not as pleasant as it looked in the beginning
Well, at least you now know what it means!
Hi Haz :)
I'm going to take a lunch break, might feel better after food!
Hello faerie - no, this is a nasty little grid.
later Ktndsn
Right - got distracted - how's the grid, and what's today's theme?
Hi Matty :)
Hello matty - no idea about the theme, the grid is not user friendly.
did everyone have a nice Halloween? I had a total of 4 trick or treaters at my house LOL
i had around 40 kids
We didn't answer the door to trick or treaters (which in the UK are teenagers wearing bin bags and intimidating you for money)
I had 4 yes 4 at my house LOL
and I have no idea what todays theme is sorry Matty
((((((Faerie)))))))
We had quantities of children dressed up in all sorts of costumes - this is a new development from when I was a child. Thanks USA.
((((((Shorty)))))
Afternoon all. The theme is light fittings/light shades, as far as I'm aware.
Let the race begin....
any clues on the vo4/7? I've overmonkeyed myself
i went with my grandkids last night they were soooooo cute
when you elected someone bichon
vo4/7 - democracy brings this to the people.
thanx I guess I didn't monkey enough
vo5/18 - past tense.
awwww Shorty I hope you remembered the camera this time LOL
yes I did
Bichon - when you elect a presiden we must first vo**
good thing I want to see pics
oh i will show you
Anyway, I have a parcel to post so I'd better shift myself. Bye all - and Jacula, I think you misunderstood my 10lbs remark the other morning. I was referring to the imaginary 10lbs you gained - I wasn't intending to be unkind! Have a good day!
Haz - I wasn't offended. See you soon.
That's good - bye!
Bye, Haz.
hmmmmm anyone got va 4/8? just can't see it!
Changed my icon, just to something I like.
va not them but **

Hi MusicMon - awwwww how adorable

Thanks = we had a packed full day of halloween fun but this morning it is really hard to get her going.
Did you make the costumes?????
No. My mom found the horse costume at Krogers. Hannah is horse crazy so it was perfect. Lindsay's mom made her's.
She has 5 brothers and sisters they were all different animals and went as the zoo.
they are cute as can be Music

saphyre- It was always frustrating to have birthday parties indoors while the summer kids got to have pool parties and such!
November has a lot of birthdays...possibly because February is a very cold month....

thanks metal. lol Annie
Mine is in December

my daughter's birthday is February 29. She was not happy about as a child but now she loves it. F

Annie - Kim was due on 2/29 but I had her 2 months early

I have 2 hours to find my last 15 words, something tells me I'm not going to make it, I've been staring at the grid for about half an hour without typing anything in
I need that E also
ha6/24 like home, but with an A, and add a consonant to the end
like the things you see from but change the 2nd vowel for the e/6 and then make it plural
ha6/24 = ha + u4/5 but change the final consonant.
ty
great clues kthdsn and charm
thanks saph
* e 4/6 & 6/24
yw
no 6/27?

Charm- I was just typing in yoda too...
thanks Cauzn....
good mornin' Flask
morning all - how is the grid today?
Hiya Metal......how are you??
Hi Wolvie and Flask
hi Wolvie, devious as usual, but not too bad so far
Hi, Wolvie.
hey wolvie
a bit sleepy Flask, but will be ok as soon as the caffeine level is up to the norm
hi wolvie
ok I'm back
phantom: hoyden
Hi abe.....Hellooooooooooo Wolvie....lol
there are far too many not-quite-words and should-be-words today
who else needs clues before I start the laundry
am I the only one who tries them all a few times just to make sure they're not really there?
how about that lone y please?
Saph...an6/21 please
I think we all do that kth :)
anyone need clues before i head off to be productive?
kthdsn, I keep hoping I just typed in wrong or the modem is on the fritz - so I keep retyping....
an & u 4/5
ty saph and charm, nice to know I'm not the only one who's crazy
its alright....already got it....[idiot!!!
kth - that happened to me yesterday on some 4 letter words, I swore I had entered them, they weren't taken, and the upon trying again they were
the lone y - like over yo****, only leave off the er
Oh I hate when it happens
lol wolvie that's not quite as bad as me, when I enter a word and it says blabla wasn't found in the dictionary, I enter it again right away just to be sure
someone asked for that, IIRC
thanks, Wolvie!
thanks wolviw
ahh - so not senile yet! thanks Charm
*wolvie
whats iirc wolvie
kth - I used all caps. :-)
hi abe
I'm confused, I see that it's all caps but what does it mean
duh on my part- if i recall correctly is what it stands for
oh i see
for some reason I read your post as "that's" not "whats". :-)
yes, Wolvie, you did... lol
lol dw I do that all the time
hey Wolvie :)
hey babbeeeelers
Hi Evanonut
hi evan
Hi, evanonut
hi evan
such a lovely greeting...*sigh*
what a cool icon, abe - is that for today's theme - which I have no idea as to what it is? ;-0
Wolvie-thanks. today is lamp/ lampshade design day. so i picked my favorite lamp from my favorite movie!
Christmas Story, morning
what movie is it abe?
hi, bunny
ahhh! clever. :-)
kthdsn- A Christmas Story-the father "wins" it was a prize and puts it in their front window! Hi Bunny
hi bunny
oh ok, I haven't seen it, I hate christma
oops missed an S
kthdsn- i have to say, it's pretty funny. a bit shocking at certain parts
since I love color, look what I found - anemone lamp shades!
I can't believe dane is not a word
wolvie they are so pretty
Wolvie- those are great
OK raise your hands, who else just type in dane to make sure it wasn't accepted
i LOVE christmas
me!
well I did it three times
lol lara, we were just saying a while ago how if something is not accepted we all type it again to make sure
I like being with the family for the holidays, I just hate shopping for presents that I know will get shelved no matter how hard I try, or broken in ten minutes by the kids.
bunny, we do prank gifts or $2 gifts
10 left, but I have to leave for work in 20 mins...might have to finish off tonight
That would be nice, but can't get away with that one, and I have a HUGE family!
are the u words (except for the 4/4) a bit bizarre today or what. Wowsa
thats why I hate christmas bunny, I don't get to spend it with my family, I can't afford to buy people what they really want, I can't stand the way the shops sell junk noone wants, I hate lying to the children about santa, I hate the way all the gifts I get are disappointing, and it's so much effort for what is just a cold, boring, fattening day
un5/16 = un + speak.
I hope you get to finish sapphie
well i think it's magical, and the family togetherness is wonderful
un5/22 = un + gender
un6/27 = un + to put on footgear
I know Charm - I got them all. I was just commenting on them
oops, sorry, Wolvie. misunderstood....
most of my family is on the other side of the world, it just reminds me how much I miss them
maybe you hate the holiday, not christmas itself?
easy to do - I'm normally crying for help. :-)
i didn't - so thanks for the "u" clues :)
=8-)
Aw kth, people always tell us not to buy for them if we are having a bad year, but then they buy for us, makes me feel like crap. I've learned to just focus on my kids and I bake up a storm of treats for the rest of the family as gifts.
plus I'm not religious in the slightest so the whole thing has no meaning to me whatsoever
your point is well taken, kthdsn- sometimes Christmas can get out of hand
Where is the rest of your family at?
no6,27 please
ok I'll stop ranting now, enough misery spreading
well now that makes it a different story. maybe it's more wonderful to me because for me it's the anniversary of the single best thing that ever happened in this world.
they moved to toronto 3 years ago
We decided long ago to either get one big thing for us, or use any present money for travel, and just send good wishes, etc., to the extended family. We may give small stocking stuffer stuff to each other, but that's it
no6 = an5/14 minus the an + lemon*** (earlier clue)
bubba - last part of an 5/14 plus to help
well, Charm -much better clue. :-)
that sounds nice wolvie
done. clues before I go read a bit.
I'd say thanks Wolvie, but it's not original to me.
Congrats to Charm!
congrats Charm!!
ty ty
wd charm
wtg charm
I have on me word charm, me 4/6 - what are the values of the other ones?
For the holidays, I usually send a photo of the baby and a short note about what he's doing. I figure that's all anyone is interested in anyway. This year, I plan to make the cards myself - rubber stamps and some water color paints. simple and cheap but nice anyway.
Thanks, Charm and Wolvie
i think thats a fantazmo idea charm
a la Martha. :-)
that sounds really nice,Charm
me5/14. and me4/5
good idea, tho charm. :-)
thanks!
Oh, definitely not in Martha's class. I don't have a staff of thousands - just me, the dog and the 4yo working a conveyor belt.
I think I'll do the same charm, sounds a lot nicer than buying some shoddy old christmasy junk for people to throw away
much better deal, IMO. :-)
kthdsn, I just glance through craft magazines for ideas and then simplify them down to a level I can manage. It's fun and interesting to see what other people can do.
clue for the lone o word? or - value for same??
oa5/10 = water in the desert.
thanks!
should have seen that one - a babblelet if ever there was one!
I'm missing 7 As (yes 7, i'm sure i'm going blind, can't see them), I have 1ah, 10an, what are the others?
morning all..I can't believe it's november...
hi rae!
I need one to finish without the list, it's a t 7. Could I get a clue please?
hi rae
Hi Raelite

Morning Inge
hi inge
INGY THINGY!!!!!
morning, babblers. Just chaned my icon, and I see the frogs are visible, those are really lamps!!!
those ay's - mainer-isms indeed. :-)
Hello nuttsy, I see you are in the grid t****
Those are cute, I'd love to have a few solar powered ones for outside!
it's a grid full of taste and class
well folks - must be off for the day. bbl tonite to finish up.
Bye Wolvie.
nutsy, in your icon are we betting on Osamas Christmas or our own???
bye Wolvie
osama's of course, he's not likely to see it...heard he may be dead already
ty charm, almost got them all
cya wolvie
well, if he were a Christian he could hope for resurrection
if he were a christian...never mind, the idea is too impossible.
Gonna drag my sugar hyped goobers to visit grandparents and pay bills, you guys have a great afternoon.
bye bunny.
cya bunny
bye Bunny.. NOw that I have properly dressed my icon, I am off to do more constructive work---like spending money
lol inge, have fun
hEY yPSI ARE YOU AROUND
caps lock and a 1 yr old
kinda like cat on a laptop touchpad
yup..
lol lara, my 2yo loves typing, she bangs away at the keyboard sending random letters to her grandma on msn
I've been icon clothing too... but bf has car so instead of being constructive and contributing to the economy like inge, I'm babbling
going to supervise potty. have fun babbling and see y'all tomorrow.
bye Charm!
bye charm
bye Charm
{{{{metal}}}}
bye charm, metal that's pretty
babble is constructive
ty... just a little something I pick up, lol
have to run out for a bit- see you all later
cya abe
good night everyone
bye tiny
{{{dais}}} hey dais, the Klingon's off taking psych tests for anew job and threatening to disembowel the vehicle repair people... hopefully not at the same time
bye Tiny. see you later kthdsn
'night Tiny, 'bye abe
bye Metal
ok I need help with my last 6, 2Ts and 4Ns
for the Ts, I have 1te, 8to, 8tu
My babble fairy has been playing :D
for the Ns, I have 1na, 1ne, 7no, 2nu
lol metal...maybe it'll all be ok
Any clues for the Y?
well, if he doesn't actually talk about the disemboweling while in the psych testing it might be ok for the test portion.
way over y*er
I have 3 ne's....the bird's home and the thing you hit tennis balls over...with a double consonant and the plural
however, he's headed to the car repair guys after the tests and I wouldn't want to be the mechanic, the shop manager or anyone connected with them. (we just spent over 1500.00 we didn't really have to spare to fix this same problem)
ty chiley, I'm *sure* I tried that
Thanks Kth
ouch metal that's not good
that sux
*that's the same problem that made the car stop running ... on the way to the testing this morning
exactly kt
this particular shop has always been pretty good/reliable in the past so I'm hoping they'll step up to the plate and do what's right
otherwise, Klingon's blood pressure's gonna go through the roof. and if he keels over, that means I'll go on the warpath.
they'd better, or Klingy will have them for breakfast!
metal, disemboweling is not such a bad idea..after spending all that money and the problem still exists, give them one more chance and I'm sure it will okay if they are threatened....darn mechanics
and, Klingon or not, He's nothing compared to me when I'm P.O'd
you haven't seen ME P.O.d yet! lol I lose it completely
as near as we can figure out... the physical part of the problem was repaired... the mechanical bits were replaced and so on... that means it is in the computer system.
Us girls are definitely better at being POd than whimpy guys
oh heck yeah
you don't need a mechanic then....you need Techzilla!
maybe so...
and 'Zilla used to work on cars!
cool
send him over
yes, you may borrow him, just keep him outside
oh, to top things off.....
when Klingon paid for the last portion of the car repairs... instead of grabbing his Visa CC, he grabbed his Debit card.... which meant that the six charges made to the debit card after the car repairs were paid for were overdrafts... first time in his life Klingon has had that happen... 108.00 OD charges, isn't that a kick in the teeth?
wow that's an expensive overdraft
oh no! set it up the way Zilla did...so that savings will cover overdrafts...
I tell ya, if he doesn't have a stroke by the time this is all finished it'll be a miracle
and they didn't refund any of it for yo umetal?
g2g work
Klingon doesn't have a savings account... luckily, I did though and we just transferred the funds over
six charges at 28.00 a pop
metal, honestly, if they won't refund any of those charges, then it's time to change banks
hello
Could be worse- OD's cost me $35 ..
so, we took as 1000.00 out to cover the original car rep. cost, the OD charges.... and things are pretty squared away there
banks these day go for blood don't they torg?
hi harpjane
I'm back
banks must work differently over there
I agree eva, but think if we can just get the car going and keep it that way withoug Klingon popping his cork... I'll settle for that. If I add doing war with the bank to the mix (which already includes finding a lawyer to sue the * &%$#* who totaled our other car) it could be "fatal"
I got nicked for an OD cause I was short on the day I made the purchase, even though I covered it before the charge was officially posted ..
here you get an overdraft limit, if you stay within your limit then you pay monthly debit interest, if you go over the limit, it costs £20 or so for each month you are over, no matter what the amount is
no one ever had to war with me when i worked at the bank, if they gave me a valid reason for od's, i was allowed to give back three fees, without approval.
I want an account with your bank kt
Hi all. I'm not getting the TU7 clue relating to the french verb. Any other clues?
tu + to5/16
ahhhh...thanks!
ty Gadget for asking and kt for cluing
wow eva, they sure aren't like that here.
Hi can I please get a clue for the o? I am trying a new thing today and not getting the list till I get at least one word from each letter and I cannot see the O
we pennsylvania-ites are much kinder...ok, no we're not, but it was a good policy.
the o is like water in a desert
lara, oa is a place in the desert
Thanks
now all I need is one from the e in the lower right hand corner
like what you see with but change the 2nd vowel
then plural it again for the other word
Lara - that's what I try to do everyday - I like it.
Could I get a Y?
ok I'm still missing 3 words, 2Ts and 1N
Yea!! thanks
(sorry, that's a throwback to my pep club days! Could I get a clue for the Y word?)
way over y*er
harpjane... into the wild blue * * * * er
I'm missing an M - I have to me4s (a 4/6 and a 4/5) - what am I missing?
me5/14
me5/14
I used to make my self get 25% of the words before I got the list and now I am doing that plus the at least one word froem each thing too.
add a vowel to the 4/6
Good morning, all. Crazy start to the day: could not find eyeglasses; woodchuck-sized tiger cat whoopsied dandelion greens on new rug (don't ask) and computer decided to get really cranky. Ah... glasses back on and ready for some fun!
good morning Scarlet

hi scarlet

harpjane... you're "turning green"
Kt...I have the en5/20..what's the other one?
jane, enoa change first vowel
thanks...I'll be glad when Zilla finally gets tired of all this crap and hires an electrician to completely rewire this place...

I'm invisible ..
down to S's and H's!
*sings softly* "Invisible, that's what you are..."
Oh, that's why....well even so, you are still lovable
why can't i find this no6?
sure Scarlet, any time... just make sure there's something in the subject line about Babble or the like so I don't auto-delete
i pledge allegiance to the flag of the united states of america... and to the republic for which it stands... one nation, waayyy under God, morals invisible, with liberty and justice for those we think are worthy of it.... sigh
*invisible blush*
"Invisible, though near, though far.."
THX.
yvw
OH, I saw that...(((((sigh))))
The no6 is a pain.. it means destruction or execution by drowning... if that helps at all.
"That's why, darling, it's permissible, that someone so invisible..."
no6 - well, Annieb got it: a refreshing drink made from the poet who wrote "The Highwayman"
thank you
anybody got any nice S5 or H5 clues? weirdos?
I gotta hire better monkeys. I was sure they had typed that one already.
Can be so lovable tooooooooo!!!!!
Doe you have stompin' at the sa5?
I know that is not the right ending to the song Vic but it seems to go nicely....
yes :) my favorite
NANCY, it can be a "choose your own endearment" song.
i tried hanus offenses, but it didn't go
Well, that was the weirdest one I had.

Least crazy?
sa 6/18: the state of not being crazy

yw majmom
ooh, you can spike up the dips by adding a few capers... whole if they're tiny, chopped if they're larger. not too many though or it starts to taste like garlicky ranch tartar sauce
not that that's necessarily a bad thing, lol
Hi all first an5/12

i wonder what freud would say about this phenomenon
ha 5/18 like a past tense of the stuff horses like to eat
he can't talk, isn't he dead?
He'd say "If it ain't broke, don'
no he's sitting right here. helping me with the grid
don't try to fix it!"
really, and what does he say about me needing to take a shower after seeing you?
LOL scarlet!!!!! I wonder if I can ONLY pee when nut's around

Hey there Nutty!

Pecans and pistachios are grown in AZ

Good afternoon all. :)
hi folks...am back again for another shot at it!
holy heck....angela!
dun dun daaaaaa...I have returned!
Goodness! It's the MIA Angela!
from? biker camp?
Hi, Angela
wb Flask, Angela
oooh, bikers, yummmy. almost as good as Klingons
hehehe...sorry! been working construction with the hubby so not much computer time.
i was just out on the bike yesterday though :)
Harley babes rock the world!
Metal......what your next recipe gonna be......I love pecans and pistachios!!!?
you bet Scarlet!! :)
I SO want my own bike some day
with a sidecar for the bf and the cat
HA! I wish I could get the cat on the back of mine. Bob would have a blast.
not sure yet Flask.... will probably do a series of nut related recipes, like I did with the winter soups and the spice/other mixes
you can dedicat them to me metal!
Flask1, good to see you again. Never give up and never give in, and you will rule the world with the Harley babes!!
will do filbert!
From all I understand, sidecars are NOT a great deal of fun
KC - I would be affraid the bolts would not hold and I would go flying off into the woods.
well, Klingon says he's not packing behind me, and I am DEFINITELY packing behind him so it's either sidecar or separate bikes... and then we'd have to figure out who'd hold the cat
My MSF teacher was a bike cop with like, 30 yrs experience, he said the sidecars make it a whole new ball of wax, like a car but with really bad stearing/turning etc
i need the last V!!
seperate bikes are good... That's why I have one... and they make pet carriers for the bikes :-)
Metal...where ARE your recipes??
metal - just get one of those carriers for babies that hang off the front of you...hehe
kc - that
s what I've heard as well...
might do that
know what else is great about traveling on the bikes?? You can't hear the kids whining at you the whole time! I LOVE that part
that's why I have cats KC...
I still like the mental image of the bf and the cat in the sidecar, both with goggles, leather flying helmets and silk scarves whipping in the wind... and the cat's whiskers doing the same
metal - just remember - claws point AWAY from you...
sharp side out, got it
LOL yeah that's pretty funny. And if you don't HAVE a bike yet, check out the Hondas. Excellent bikes, excellent prices
good point
brb, on radio with bf
Thanks for the mental image roflmao!
vase
yas03001 are you still looking for the v?
sorry....mistake!!!!
naughty Flask
ok, back now and getting serious about the last 22

a clue would be great
flask - think elections
Flask1, what we have to do next Tuesday in the U.S.A.
flask: what we will do on Tuesday here in America. Part of the Democratic process.
Hi Stid, frozen snickers are my personal favorite!

I have some time to pass on a few hints.
If you don't know any italian, how can you get your last word?
Think stuff and non*****, and change the last vowel to the first vowel. ITs also an unusual plural of a simple english word.
You have five se****.
There also was a popular song back in the fifties called SE*** Momma.
someone help: ha6,24. it's killing me.
aha! yes. I already had it. Monkeying away here. thanks anyway svso!
ha6/24 is german.

Ha6 has a meaning in English. I looked it up. Its a type of sturgeon. Hit me with a fish.

There is an alternate spelling that uses the letter that looks like a v' with a rounded bottom.

do5 - to spoil
Gotta go -- bye all!

done with the grid lbd, just cluing for a bit
yay lbd!
jilli, you're shouting again, did you get bit by the troll that was here a while ago?
whoo hoo Fran! yeah, grid wasn't too bad, some dumb words, but not overly hair pulling. lol
kinda early for trolls isn't it?
sorry again - I'm at the library where a lot is done in caps and I keep forgetting to change back
lbd, we had a troll a couple of hours ago
lol jilli, just messing with you!
Has the troll gone? Just got back!!
glad i missed it. have enough aggrevation with students! lol
the troll was pretty benign, just a 12 year-old that confused babble with myspace.
yes, troll left quite quckly after getting the silent treatment
claimed to be 16
hi spanner, everyone ignored her and she left protesting that she was never coming back!
So jilli HOW OLD ARE YOU (LOL!!!!!!)
we can hope for small favors! Nut has a good way of making the trolls run away...she baits them!
I won't tell u until u tell me how old u r
yes, it's fun to watch nut playing with the trolls, she wasn't around though.
lol!!!!

later lbd!
i'll try and come in from class...i hope you will take no** of that! ;-)
Just foiund my remaining 2 words from this morning. Fireworks.
yay angel!!!!!
still new at this... trolls?
calmunid, just kids usually that come into the chat and make trouble
they don't come to play, they ask dumb questions, sometimes swear
ah... i see thx..
a general nuisance...
it seems their favorite question is..."how old are you guys?"
brb
trolls are people who just come to chat and disrupt the game - some are very rude and insulting. We ignore them and they eventually go away. In really bad cases we notify Dr_G
Could it be that they are all clones???
neus
sorry...
Have to go , Duty calls. Speak soon. Have fun, happy babbling
fireworks! Thanks for all the help.
bye spanner
Would someone be kind enough to tell me how many words today? I'm too broke to even pay attention these days!
108
Thanks, Babe! (please don't take offense at that)
hey guys
hi smooth
yay duval!!!
hi smoothie!
108 words, dianec
hi mab!
jilli, i love your lamp! yours too mab!
I'll be darned! It IS a word. I used to have a T-shirt back in the good old Steve Martin days that said "Don' Touch My T***"LOL
so... what's up with the lamps tonight?
it's today's icon theme smooth
ahhh...
diane, it's even a word you can do in the past (that's a clue for another word)
Ah ha!
okay, i'm off to do other things. see you all at the flip!
bye fran - cul8r
so... imagine my dissapointment today, when I found out that ""yoda" was not found in the dictionary"
that would have made a perfect YO 4/7...
I finished hours ago but I keep looking at the grid hoping to find another word - lol!
ha! funny... me too. ;)
can someone clue me the tu7? ty
what time is the flip in USA?
TU + played around with
tu7 - tu +played with (to5/16)
accccckkk what a dumb word, lol thanx jilli
chris - it depends what part of the USA -
and pappa
tu7 isn't even in the dictionary they link to!
hey everyone !
what's the rough time, do you know?
gramma it has a meaning - to do with using the familiar form of "you" in French
very strange
midnight central time
1 am New york time 10 pm California time
chris there are at least 4 time zones in the US. The flip is at mignight in the Central zone. On the wet coast it's 10 pm
crikey
*midnight *west
thank you
11:00 mountain time
how many time zones in Oz?
nm - I'm in the library -- I'll look it up -- gotta go now
Hi everyone
Hi ollaag!
opps meant ollag
hey peri
Hi everyone. slow class tonight, only one student showed up so far. going to be a long 2 hours
clue for ha 7/36, please
pl of ha 6/24
Hi Annie, german house+**d zone (football term)
annie-german for place where you live + spelling of a consonant-pluralilzed
duh, forgetting plurals again, thanks
yw :)
hi everyone
hi dorens
hi dorens
aote
sorry!
Hi Anne
hi Eva!!1
hi eva - what's with those e's in the bottom right corner?
they are weird-think of an alternate spelling for an Indian governess, and then pluralize what already looks like a plural
I'm still missing 20 and don't know if I have the energy to start working with the list
weird is right!
doyou have that one o?
I'm still missing 18 and it is tough sleddidng
*sledding
Down to the wire, but stuck on 6 left. Can anyone help with ey6/24?
oa is a watering hole in the desert
thanks!
the list takes a lot of energy - especially after a glass of red wine which by the way has just been reported to extend the life of mice AND offset a high calorie diet!
that;ps the weird plural I just clued a minute ago Scarlet
it is the plural of the 4/6 above it, believe it or not
sorry that was for scarlet, the ey6/24
ey6/24 is plural of ey4/6 - how about the no6/27??
*running for the red wine*
I've been operating in an antihistamine haze all day. Feels like moving through jello but has the distinct advantage of making it possible to breath.
no + sometime vowel + lemon*** is good to drink in the summer
don't have that no6/27 pup
Thanks, Doren - have fireworks!!
thanks dorens
no6/27 - no + sometimes vowel + a fruity drink
no 6 was clued as a refreshing drink and Alfred N**es
Yay puptone
oops, guess i was a bit late there. too much lag tonite.
yay for puptone
Got it! TY Eva. It was weird, but worth it. Now to the last five!
no6/27 seems tobemaking a comeback
Hello all. Just dropped in to see if anyone could use a clue or two?
do you have any idea what it means?
eva, you cann click on the ? before the word in the list
this is slow stupid fly time. They keep bumping into me and falling into my water glass
hi mkl
Yes, mkl, the two do5/12's. TY in advance!
was just being lazy dorens
the no 6 means execution by drowning
First do5,12 is a woman's name
Second one, change the last vowel.
Hi Dorens
group execution by drowing epecially as used in Nantes during the Reigh of Terror. Put that in you pipe and smoke it!
Got them. Many thanks, mkl.
i'll write to my congressman
yw
but I quit smoking years ago eva
about the flies or the group drownings?
or the group drownings of flies
Any others?
for the flies I'll writeto Mayor Wagner
isnt he dead?
do6/14 anyone?
mkl, still hunting. Looking for to5/10 and to5/16 and one lonely "a" something, but must have crossed the clue off the Lickety's before I actually had it.
How about Mario Procaccino?
past tense of hawaiian singer D** Ho
then again, red wine may not be advisable for everyone
Lizmac, there isn't a do6,14
scarlet-there's a to5/10 that's an alternal spelling for the heavy weight
i'm assuming lizmac means do 6/24?
Scarlet to5,16 Children play with to** past tense
and a to5/16 that the past tense of a yoyo or a jump rope
oops, I meant do6/24, sorry, but any clues?
Eva, got it! Good clue.
mario procaccino? what are we talking about here? (I remember his name. NYC comptroller? or something like that?
i clued it lizmac at 7:38
do6,24 To put on clothes past tense
how's the multitsking going 6a?
mkl, I have that one, but there is still another 5/16.
Mario Procaccino wasthe mostdecorated officerin the NYC police force. He ran for mayor.
Got it thanks!
against who, 6A?
to5,16 Not yesterday but to***
He lost to Lindsay in '69.
Color me very, very dense. Duh. Got it, mkl, tyvm.
Can't believe you remember that!
I remember that vaguely...was too young to vote in those days...wouldn't be if it were now though.... 19 was considered a minor then
15 left
Hey I was 19 too!
born january 1950....i went to NYU then, so did pay some attention to that. thought lindsay was cute
hi everyone. can I get a clue for the en 5?
go eva..... i have 10 here
uses two high scoring letters natasha
go eva go! Hi natasha, en5, someone who is sent as a messenger or ambassador. Go Dorens Go!
it's like the 4/9 with a circle letter before the last letter
Lindsay was cute, in a very great patrician kind of way
doh! fish please
yes....silkstocking, blue blood, all that stuff.. but he had a certain vigor, and nice blue eyes
I was looking for a 5/12, not a 5/20...
<*))<<
But 6a, we weren't in Ny in 69---had already left, so why would you know that?
that is so cool lbd
By the process of elimination, MKL, the missing an is an5/10... it's the last one, and I'll dedicate fireworks to you!
Actually I remember Mario Procaccino because my husband has an old button that say Procaccino for Halloween. By the way - I was born in Jan 1950 too.
*blush*
does anyone have sa5/20, sn5/12 please?
Don't know how to clue it other than this. an +4th vowel + 1st vowel plural
ah knew there had to be a good reason to remember that.... so jan 1950 was a good time, eh? I was born in Bronx Hospital
JeeWhiz: the sn is a doozy. sn+cigarette dirt minus the plural!
Doctor's Hospital
that is a doozy...thanks scarlet
JeeWhiz, I don't have the sa 5/20 but sn 5/2 is s + **** Bridges - old TV show
Jee, Sa5.20 italian royalty. sn5.12 is stupidhead word, like what you might do to your thumg with a hammer,
thanks mom
that an is plural river dolphins of south america.
sa5,20 An old rock sing named sa*** Brown
And I was born in Gotham Hospital in dec 1949
Hey everyone - anyone here using my clues? If so - refresh the page, some more stats and you can use the enter key in the add word box to take you to the clues after you have typed the first 2 letters.
glad to help
Bows and applause to MKL who helped me achieve this Oscar tonight! Thanks for all of the last-minute help.
What became of Gotham Hospital? Was Batman born there too?
jee, sa5.20 is also a type of cabbage.
thanks lbdawger...I just knew that name as a restaurant name
whoo hoo Scarlet
thanks lickety. I'm there and I refreshed.
hi lickety... we LOVE your clues
it disappeared and I was convinced for a while that my parents were lying to me and I had actually been adopted. I mena Gotham?
wow....thanks Lickety...I am so impressed by your brilliance!!!
i was thinking a dance hall or something Jee, had to look it up
sounds suspiciously cartoonish to me, eva
I use your list all the time lickety
You can now see what Starting letter is the top letter!
I had to google your clue....tg for google and lbdawger
And the worst
Does anyone know if the rankings are done by how long it takes to finish a puzzle also? I have fininshed all the puzzles for about six weeks now. Seems like that would give me the most possible points I could get, but there are several people with more. I'm not being competitive, just curious
And also if you finished the last 208 grids - how many unique words you have typed
mkl-that's amazing. Have no idea how the ranking works
I couldn't finish ONE puzzle without your clues lickety
mkl - no idea either - ask DrGod
How does the ranking work... and where may we view it without having a degree from MIT?
heeeeeeeeeey lickety!
Just click on "rankings" right above the chat box
Lickety you are awesome! I love your clue page, especially with the really grueling grids, which for me is most of them! lol
13 left and time to go to sleep. See you tomorrow
Does anyone need any more clues before I run?
mkl, there is no rhyme or reason..... i was 1012 for weeks on end cause i had missed two grids....trying to figure out how people could be at those numbers between 1012 and 1030---- finished every grid in last two weeks and unbelievably dropped to 1009 today
goodnighteva
Hey Nut, thanks lbdawger and mkl - glad you like it.
Funky
wouldn't be able to finish without you most days, lickety
night 6a, night Johnboy
lickety, just got kicked outta your page
Lickety, PLEASE don't ever stop

thanks Dorens. Katy - really? Sounds wierd - just keep trying - check the link
lickety, how's the wifey doing? i miss her.
Lickety - thanks for all you do. I, for one, appreciate the list.
Well, if nobody needs any help, I'm outta here.
Nut - mrp is very busy now she is working, but she is loving it.

Ok, closed out and came back in. It's there now! Thanks
Congrats Dorens
See you on the flip, and congrats Dorens
Bye MKL

an + *** on a grecian urn, Jee whiz
bye mom, mkl
Hey Katy - I just got that 404 too, but then it came back. Must be internet issues.
thanks dorens.....you are wonderful!
JeeWhiz: one singular bump in the lymphatic system
AN5/12 is a + n4/5
Luckily you don't lose your words anymore!
lol scarlet....good clue
nice clue, scarlet
thanks gramma
ey6? please
Thanks, folks.
true, just wish I could take them with me to work in the am. LOL
So my Stats says that the letter T is beating the letter R 4449 to 4447 - just 2 words!
gramma, kind of like those hairs inserted into your eyes, but minus the l and the h...or plural the word before
So you better know your T's to play this game!
ey 6 is plural of ey4 strangely enough
yeah but . . . what is ey4?
ey + ** you like it
ty
ey plus vowel and plural letter

yw katydid
good night all.... see you tomorrow
nite Dorens

Off to the Land of Oz (that's whatever I want it to mean). Thanks for all the memories tonight, everyone.
See y'all manana.
aha! a pirate term in the puzzle!
have a good one scarlet.
Thanks, lovely bug. Good luck with the maddness and frustration... we can't get enough!
Katydid: do you also have the purple dress to go with the Red Hat? LOL, I know many ladies who are Redhatters!
oh yeah! and the red shoes and the red gloves, and the boas and the whole shebang! It's a fun group of ladies.
Our motto is "gaudy is good" LOL
Wowee. That'll show the world that fashion sense is NOT DEAD!!!
gaudier the better in my opinion katy!
it's so fun to play dress=up at my age.
The ladies I knew in the North also like to tip a few polite martinis at their meetings... then everything was purple and red. LOL!
it's fun at anyage!!!
some of our ladies do that too. I prefer to be the DD.
Help, please. My last word TU7.
gramma take to5/16 and add tu in front
someone mention red hat? :D
ty. I'll work on that
I was always the DD for any get-together. More fun when not impaired... but great fun watching the whackiness!
yep! you a redhatter rebel?
i have a great red hat, but no club to join :-(
libarebel! I like your hat lamp shade!
nut -- go to the red hat society home page, they will list clubs all over the world and find one to join.
lol-- I haven't yet joined, but plan to!
fireworks!
will they just let me in like that????
ty, katydid!
yvw libarebel. Yep nut, it's free to join . . . you just call the "queen mother" (president) of a chapter and ask where you can join.
Natasha, Good Work! A few moment's peace... until tomorrow!
wtg Natasha.

hi summer rose -- gorgeous rose you have :)
an+ tree creature from LOTR
Xmas trees in the euro tradition go up on Xmas Eve and come down on 12th night (The Twelve Days of Christmas, see) -- and the X in Xmas stands for Christ.
Thank you so much!
hello, 66 to go, in between choirs for a few minutes
LOTR????
hi harpjane
lord of the rings its a net mixed up
Lord of the Rings- try this...the letter was s***
hey kilbus
sodjilbus
i think that stands for lord of the rings, about which I know absolutely nothing.
anode
anon

herinfernallady, what do you mean by "sodjibus"?
!
sorry i meant to say instead of kilbus jillbus thats why i said sod
phew!
the sentence was hello kilbus sod that was meant to be jillbus
fish slap
i like the jillbus i hate this keyboard it gives me the frownies
Why slap each other with fishes????? ICK
sorry i think i need a few moe cups of coffee
'sok, summerRose -- we're all friends here. We usually slap ourselves with fishies when we goof or miss an obvious word
myster word void
I hope they're nice little fishies and not sharks! LOL!
cute word, frownies, must get enable to include it - lol!
i wish to apologise for spelling i have a new laptop and im still not used to keyboard size.
it's a very old babble tradition, self-inflicted fish bopping.
how about "avoyed" as a mystery word?
summer, it depends - range from sardines to tunas and...what's the biggest fish?
should have said minnows for the littlest ones
Great White Sharks?
scary Jaws...
whales
whales are mammals, not fish
i don't recall - a flounder? anyway, they're all dead fish, but usually fresh. fish fingers in emergencies only.
jilli sais a wooord
hi everyone
hmm ok
whales are NOT fish -- they're mammals like us but waterier (new word for enable)
hmm - what word....
Ahhh....Jaws.....That music...dum dum dum dum dumdumdumdumd da-ta-da....

hi smiley!
dancers just got to love them, quick changes are a pain
oh yeah right, okay -- finished so long ago I forgot, sorry
i never had the joys of double sided tape
Alright! Fireworks!
I heard a true story today....A man called a widow to ask her how she was doing after the death of her husband, and if she would like to buy the plot next to his...She said she wasn't sure. The salesman replied, "Well, how does your husband like his plot?"
salesman lost the plot maybe?
oh my summer rose. that's soooo bad!
unreal, summer!!!
heard read a good one today man arrested for dressing up as sadam hussan waveing a gun during trick or treat
ROFL- aqnd Yay Katy!
and than what happened, smiley?
*then
not sure just he got arrested
thanks Summer.
he is in jail in our county
he's probably sunbathing at gitmo
my aunt had the superannuation people as for cost for palitive care for her husband so she could get money to look after him, my aunt was looking afterhim not the hospital. lots of grrs at that one
yup, mab, those poor guys
I read that story on the national news Smiley. He is a lawyer. Idiot! Said he didn't think he'd get arrested, and it was a toy gun at that!
we had a kid wear a balacava and carry a toy gun and was told by a tradesman to go home and stop being a toss
It is a true story. I belong to a Yahoo group, and one of the members just lost her husband. We got on the subject of tactless people and stupid mistakes after someone you love dies...that story won the prize as far as I was concerned....
no6?
don't have that yet jane
no6 = no + sometimes vowel + a summer fruit drink: lemon ***
no + sometime vowel + lemon***
end of an5/14 + end of lemon***, Harpjane

YAY svso!
there is a letter which is used sometimes as a vowel and sometimes as a consonant -- wh* not?
hello stid
hi stid
hi stid
hmm ok that can go into the file 'things i have learnt today'
*switches to troll mode* back later
Andree, I did and it went in...what I mean is that you can't use the word in a sentence, can you?
i have 45 words and i haven't looked at licketys list yet
busy log! glad the troll is gone...
later Fran!
whos the trolls?
I can't, someone smarter might, pretty silly word summer
What is a troll?
was there a troll
summer, there is no meaning to that sa word so we call it a babblet. To get the meaning of weird words, click on the ? beside the word in your list.
wow. the log was acting very strange there for a while... I think it's caught up now.
T Y, Jilli....I thought I was crazy....
im being good so im not the trol
for that sa word gives no meaning
isn't nott a word
or is it knott?
knot
ok cool that i had lost it for a mo
the troll was apparently a while back, but when I logged in my screen paged through the last three hours or so... and I got a dose of troll... yuck.
is not nott a word...bad pun...couldn't resist...
There was a troll several hours ago but it left because we ignored it. Trolls are people who enter the chat for no reason except to disrupt the game -- some think it's just another myspace but others are more malicious. If they are we contact Dr_G and he deals with them.
It's nott, but change the woel...
*vowel!!!
Some people have nothing better to do...it's sad...this site seems so friendly!
This site is a treasure and VERY friendly, summer!
en 5/20 please?
I wish to state that i am a reformed troll and if i say 'sodjillbus' i meant sod i meant to say "hello jibus"
i personally am fond of trolls...the make great pets
glad tohear it, herinf!!!
yes nut, but in your case like attracts like... *ducks*
A friend told me about Babble, and I was intrigued, so I joined! She said you all were a great bunch!
dangit, herinfernal broke her leash
and your friend, SummerRose, was absolutely correct! speaking only for myself, of course.... :-)
en5/20 -- some one you send somewhere to send a message
Evanout what is in your drama today, you are usually nice or friendly?Whats bite your arse today
ah! thanks Jill!
OMG! I finished and there are fireworks for real!
yw :)
yay summer
Yeah, Summer, the joke is that trolls smell funny, so people will say things like, "Eeew... smell something?" when a troll is around -- but you never speak directly to the troll. If they start YAY SUMMER!!! if they start blocking the chat, go get a drink and come back...by that time, they're gone.
WOWIE SummerRose!!!!
yay summer.
oa5/10 please
ha ha, someone was dissin christmas earlier. said they hated it, then that theyweren't religious...rubbed me the wrong way, becuase God stands by me through so much.
Andree, water in the desert.
YAY summer rose!
OOO, I would have HATED that!
hi Ankh!
Um i dont mean to rattle a cage but a lot of christian stuff reflects very old pagan stuff
Well, a lot of religious people don't like Christmas, and it didn't used to be celebrated as it is now.
Hi, Stid!!
thx ank
please, can we get off religion?
Sure, Jilli.
see ank, it's not christmas they hate, it's the commercial holiday though.
sorry jilli, that's why it was in my bio, rather than have a confrontation in chat.
ok sorry once again apoligise for chain rattling
ok i have 49 words without looking at the list
s'okay infernal
quote - "can't we all just get along?"
Hey, where's Bouvet Island? And Infernal, Evan, if you wanna continue I'll participate, just pick my email up from my profile. :)
um im fine now i spoke and i need to ask if x is used today as i don't want to go to liketys list yet
x doesn't start a word
ank...i have yahoo and msn, but my profile is pretty clear on my opinion. and no clue where bouvet island is...why?
and x is used however
yes, it ends a word
Because Evanonut, "Bouvet Island" is what shows up next to your name in chat?
because you have no flag, on purpose, nuttynut!
although how that word can happen is beyond me
what! *looks for flag* - - - *GASP*
At yahoo and msn, are you still Evanonut?
or, for that matter, un-talk?
Summer has no flag either!
Nut -- you forgot our takeover of cote d'ivoire, didn't you?
cool i must try to figure where the x is
nut, how about the creation of those sorta male sopranos?
Oh, I'd better fix that....
stid, they said i can't have cote divoir
who said?
but i thought they had a different title,
oh bummer! so what country are we going to invade and can I still be kitchen mama?
evans in norway
Now do I have a flag?
what you call them, castrados
castrati
Or eu...
ok even it seems is somewhere on this planet
nope...I guess I'm from Antarctica....
castratos are men who were boy sopranos who lost the ability to bear children, ensuring their continued singerhood...
ah yes, that sounds right
Not for me, Summer, but let me reload and see if it shows up.
maybe you need to refresh summerorse?
didja click update summer?
i think the comment there stid is snippy snippy
After refresh, still no flag for Summer for me.
I did...and I updated my profile...maybe I'll just be a woman of mystery LOL
I am scared to refresh for fear the logwill go weird on me again...
hey jill can i have a clue for that x usage
Leave be, Stid, refreshing did me no good. Maybe someone can mention it to Dr. God if it doesn't cure on its own.
herin, we've been talking about that word all along...read back...
okay, i'm off to bed guys,...i'll be off the soap box tomorrow.
LOL lady --- though the practice was outlawed a long time ago, still a few men who had childhood accidents have become castrati.
back later to finish
scratchs head and looks confused
later nut!
I don't know how to write you Evan...
un 5/22
ank...take my name in here @yahoo
summer -- that's the word that ends in x
Infernal. Go back 100 years. A woman who dared to speak in public was thought to be un***ed. She de-gendered herself, socially speaking.
Got it, Evan!
okay!
phone interrupted. back now
ok i get it now, gee i couldn't even see the word. i am not a normal 29year old
testing for flag...
da**!
not yet, summer but will refresha agin which take a minute
Hey everybody!!!
hi greeny! haven't seen you in a couple. how was halloween?
hey greeny
TU 7/44 please?
woohoo i got 51 words without even looking at the list and a few clues from here
flag? oh, flaggie?
The boys had a blast!! A little nippy and it rained all day, but the evening was nice and clear
Infernal, did you get what I was trying to tell you about the x word?
^ laughs at Rose's polite cursing ^
I have no sex, either!
i did thank you i went off looked for more words
not yet, summer -- did you go up to the top right hand corner and check Show Profile?
Oh<blush> that was funny....
sounds nice, greeny. Our kids had a good time too, but it was really cold. Freezing before they were finished, in fact! It has been very cold at night the last few days.
SummerRose, LOL! You can try to write a quick email to Dr.God at the bottom of the page, see the red SEND THEM blurb? That's him. Be nice, he rules our world!
i just placed a candle on the stoop
poor summer... maybe more than we needed to know? ROFL
that's right, summer, ask Dr_G for s**! ROFLOLOL *ow, my tummy hurts*
Now!
It was about 60 degrees here when we started, and about 52 when we ended...not too shabby
ok i am halway there and im going to look at the list
Dear One made a cool optical illusion pumpkin that looked like a smiley Jack-o-lantern OR a skull! Ooo!
not bad at all, greeny! that's the sort of weather we have here sometimes, would have been nice...
The weather was gorgeous in Northern Virginia but we get very few kids -- most go to school gyms and churches.
sounds cool ank!
You know there weren
one child went with a friend to that family's church, the other did the neighborhood thing with a friend. Worked well for both of them.
stid - did you get the tu7/44? tu + played with
still need TU 7 *pleads and offers chocolate...*
there weren't that many kids last night either, even though the weather was nice
T Y< Jillibus! I didn't check that little box! Now I know what to do when I don't want sex...no more "I have a headache"!!! LOL!
thanks Jill *tosses basket of chocolate northward*
hahahaha summer!
dark choc, I hope, stid -- thanks!
I don't get the tu clue...
lovely flag, summer!
May I have some Chocolate? Pretty please?
TEN left! *precelebrational jig*
hey summer, you flagged!
^ sings "America the Beautiful" for SummerRose ^
Good Evening to one and all
Yeah, finally <said in Valley Girl Voice>
sure summer, you just have to wrestle it away from Jill... (or look on the table, I have another basketfull)
go stid!!!
Hello, GreyWoulfe! Nice to meet you!
{{{{{WOULF}}}}} how was Halloween? were the kids wonderfully cute? were you scary/er? did you have a good haul?
Hi, Woulf! how was the new pup's first Howloween?
Hi there woulfie!
hey wolf
Greeny, for the tu7, it's tu + he ***** with my affections!
{{Stidmama}} -- Halloween went well -- I left Seb at home with mom, but Kristianna got to go door to door for the first time! -- She is a natural!!! :)
Woulf, may I introduce summer? she just found sex... *giggle*
would, may we introduce a new addict called SummerRose - she's a beauty
way cool, Woulf! was she a princess or a pony?
*woulf
Stid, was it you who wanted the TU clue? see my last
snap, stid
ROFL....Woulfe, I had no flag and no sex!
*snigger* -- I just saw that whole exchange :D A pleasure to meet you Summer
T Y!
thanks Ankh -- I got it -- greeny did you get that?
She was a halloween faerie -- she even had a wand and everything
greengeeny, have you got the tu yet?
I took a couple of pics and will post one as an icon as soon as I get around to downloading the camera
I bet she was lovely. Will there be pics? Did you see the icon I had yesterday of my boys?
thanks for the tu clue!!
Good evening Babblers. Welcome to Babble Land, SummerRose!
the m5,12 -- my monkey is still sick on candy, someone clue me?
oh good, you anticipated my query. Hi Scrabbler!
So Summer... the code is if the flag is up, sex is a go? ;-D
Hey Stid
er, wait, me5,14 I mean, maybe that was my problem. LOL, Woulf!
T Y< SCrabbler! My favorite game!
Woulf, may I introduce stidhat's (that's my Tom) first cousin Scrabbler? Don't know if you have met yet...
LOL Grey Woulf
SN 5 please? I think it's a fish, so come at it obliquely please...
interesting how the formerly innocent word "fairy" has morphed into a pc word "faerie"
ey6/24 please
Yes, Woulfe, if the flag is up....oh, God, I'm ROFL and going to wet my panties!
hi Kit! if you have the ey 4, plural it
Stid -- I didn't get to see your icon yesterday as I didn't play -- I was trying to get out of work in time to take my girl out and was too tired to hunt after they were in bed
Guess what? I love Scrabble too! I do play by "house rules" with my friends, though---no time constraints.
ey6 is the pl of ey4
okay, hold on and I will change back just for you *no peeking*
Jilli, if you want to start talking about PC, I swear I will talk about religion. I mean it.
woo hoo i just broke my record
me5,14?
ty
um how many word today
okay, done. You might have to refresh.
We have a great variation...We reuse the colored tiles...So if a tile is already placed, and you make a word with it, you get ceredit for it, too! It's a blast!
What is your record lady?
stidgrant on the left, stidmatt on the right.
Don't wanna get into either here, ankh!
108
The only PC around here is our computers... ROFL
ta i got 52 before i had to look at the list
very cool, stid -- they look great
um 52
Heh, Jilli, it was the fairy remark that set me off... truce!
thanks Woulf -- they were fun to make.
so -- I still need the SN 5 please...
i only find a handful before i lok at the list
Stid, tell the boys that look quite cool.
oh, you switched back, stid -- give them my love (if it's not too mushy for guys)
I play the version on the computer...I'll have to look it up- I am close to 800 playing by myself....
me 5/14: grown-up boys, + two letter "commercial" word
Thanks Jill and Scrabbler, will do.
um can i ask was a dose of catty eaten today?
sn is like grinding your teeth with a diff beginning, stid
sn5 -- what the wild things do with their terrible teeth, but change the first letter from g to s
thanks woulf!
and thanks also Jill...
Can you guess which book we have been reading here lately?
dang, I got there first with the sn!!!
Stid, thanks! I coulda *sworn* I typed that before...
three to go... *in determined mode*
oh grey are you reading my fav book?
Another way of cluing that tu7 word is its resemblance to being taught privately....
Go Mama Go! Go Mama Go!
woohoo -- at the halfway point
it's like my fave unword -- snile...
Summer, I also play against Maven, but I have never gotten 800 points--wow. Have you ever played SuperScrabble which came out about 2 yrs ago?
I heard about the 800 pt game
No...Is it fun?
lady -- we didn't read it tonight, but it is a regular in the rotation, along with Millions of Cats and The Five Chinese Brothers
I LOVE and ADORE the Five Chinese brothers. When I was a child I had the book and the little 45 record...
cool.
It is way more fun! Huge grid with quadruple letter and word tiles, and the potential to get a double-double. It is so much less constraining and more wide open.
Scrabbler, you have to divide that in two- I said I was playing alone-so I scored around 400 or so...I'll look it up..bbias...
two...
Scrabbler, Dear One won't play it with me! I asked for it for a solstice present, but they don't wanna. :(
go stid!!!
I am finding that one of the best parts of being a parent is sharing my favorite books from when I was little with my kids :)
Oh, OK, Summer. I have hit 400 for myself---if I get the high-scoring tiles.
solstice present? What a neat isea...
care bears are back so are teenagemutant turles
Ankh--so you have SuperScrabble?
I think it would make a great solstice present, but can't let on what we are getting the children because I have one reading over my shoulder right now.
I just looked it up- My top score is 484 and I have Champion rating...
Hi Matt, Hi Grant!
You are a ScrabbleMaster, Summer.
LOL scrabbler, no real names, please...
No, Scrabbler, I don't, but I wish I did, hence my sad-puppy-eyes and talk about presents! :)
we played naught scrable one christmas kept us entertained for ages I used to have the kids version of scable as a tyke
Yay, Rose, a champ on your first night!
Naught scrabble?
ONE....
I am? Neat!
Go, Stidmama, go!
um, think I'll go microwave supper if nobody needs clues
need more time so i could have done the whole puzzle myself, Naughty scrabble is ignoring the rules and using adult words
u be back later jill?
Go Stid, go!
later Jill!
Oh, naughtY scrabble! got it. But I think the smutty words are in the official lists, aren't they? Not the guide which is used in schools, but in the tournament lists?
sure, infernal
Jilli, if you give me all the clues I need, you'll starve, go eat!
go ahead, jill -- I will need clues in a bit, but I am sure the others will be able to handle it
i don't know but we were using r rated words which will not be said
ayh later jill
Heh! Well, I --hear-- tht the official SOWPODS list has reeeeealllly feeeeeelthy words. But I don't know.
In French class, we had to play in French..oooo, that was hard...tres horrible!
summer thats a great way to test vocab
¡Que dolor! Whoops, wrong language.
I know, and you know what? There are a great many words in English which come from the French, thanks to the Norman invasion....
okay, need to help the kids with homework. I need the NO 6/27 please....
Stid, no ** *on't + e
no+ sometimes vowel+ lemon***
i cant speak another language but i was learning pigeon italian from my ex
What does SOWPODS mean?
thanks Ankh and Rose....
Which is why all the American legal words that look like Latin aren't, they're Norman French, that litigious batarde!
off to do homework and back later... I hope.
so long, stid -- see you soon
??? Fireworks, Stid?
SOWPODS is the list used by everyone in the English-speaking world except USA, Thailand, Israel and one other. It's a big giant list of what's acceptable in international tournament scrabble play.
The game here uses the Enable dictoinary, which is different and WAY smaller.
I mean, Babble here uses Enable. Scrabble here in the US uses a different list.
there have to keep legal words in latin as you cant convert the context to an english word
I just read about SOWPODS on Wikipedia---now I understand the name.
useless fact of the day, legal langauge or jargon is called legalese
Yeah, that's a good place to get up on it, but you'd need one of the Scrabble mavens to explain all the politics of it for you, I'm not into it, except the USA people gripe endlessly about all the Scots words in SOWPODS, which they say should not be considered "English"
SOWPODS is an anagram of two dictionaries- the OSW (Official Scrabble Words) + OSPD (Official Scrabble Players Dictionary)
If you want more useless facts -- try this site -- http://lexicon.typepad.com/triviums/
No, Infernal, they keep them in Latin or Norman French for no good reason at all except habit, and the prestige of saying something "laypeople" can't understand.
Oh, I love it! "Triviums"!
"et al" is short for "et alia" which just means "and others" -- no good reason not to say it in common speech. Just hoity-toity! :)
Interesting site, Woulf.
I read many books written in the Regency period or about the Regncy period, and that has helped me a lot- words like "sods" mean something to me...That was slang back in those days.
I forget how I found it, I think I got it from Aaron Williams website. He is the artist who writes a D&D inspired comic strip called 'Nodwick'
The lower class (men especially) talked "cant"- chickens were "cackling cheats"
To be "gay" once meant that a woman was a prostitute; no reference to orientation at all.
There must be so much funny and interesting material from the UK, and the rest of the world, that I have no idea even exists. I do appreciate hearing about these types of sites.
My favorite phrase from that period is argle-bargle-meaning to not talk honestly. "I don't want no argle-bargle from you, laddie."
Oh, balderdash!
Examining how language evolves over time is always fascinating -- most people today don't even know that a faggot was a bundle of sticks to burn in the fire
Or a fag was a short cigarette...
Another fun game, Scrabbler!
...or that "faggot" still means younger student assigned to be a servant to an older student in all-boy schools in Britain (the "public" schools, which U.S. folks would call "private" schools).
I didn't even know that one, Ankh
So many games, so many books, and not enough time!
I love entomolgy! (I hope I'm not referring to bugs!)
Amen, Scrabbler
Amen, also, Scrabbler
I am delirious with fatigue, and must go to bed. (I think you mean etymology, Summer.)
Oh, dear, Rose, you like etymology. Entomology is bugs.
Yes, that's it. I have dsylexai...LOL
LOL!
So Scrabbler, you're all fagged out, then? Nitey nite!
Dyslexics of the world, Untie!!
Well, I knew at least that it MIGHT mean bugs! LOL!
Good night, Babblers. See you tomorrow, same time, same place--Babble Land.
Byyyeee! Dear One just came home, so I'll dash off also. Nice to meet you, Woulf, Summer.
Sleep well and dream deep, Scrabbler
There's this game on the site Quote Puzzler called Honeycomb, which plays with palindromes...great for dyslexics...
TY Woulf---I hope so, sleep has not been well this week.
G"Nite, Scrabbler! Nice to meet you!
Fare well, Ankh -- a pleasure as well -- see you again soon
Is everyone done?
nope -- 31 to go still

I will let you know in just a bit welcome back, stid
Welcome back, Stidmama!
My bio teacher called the an** the "hardest working part of the body" and I argued back that uteri work pretty hard now and again...
I think is is a question of total time of use, Summer
ROFL!
very grateful my uterus will never outwork the an** again!
:D
Lickety did a new thing, did you know? Now, when you type two letters and hit enter, it bounces you down the list to that sectoin automagically. IF there are words starting with those two letters -- so SE would work for this grid, but SB won't.
Actually, I think the heart and lungs get the prize....
One would hope that the brain... no, I guess not.
sn5/12 please?
"The brain is a muscle that can move the world"- who said that?
sn + fire residue
I tend to only use the printable clues page, Ankh -- I open it in another window and compare with what I already have
ty
I smashed my finger- sub. another cons for the "M"
Ahhh, Woulf, I should try that some time.
5 to go!!
summer, wasn't that quote from Steven King's "firestarter?"
cool Ankh -- thanks for pointing out the new feature (which I will use next grid, I am sure)
go Kit go!
Yes! The Dad said it! He had the "push".
too bad they're all the tricky ones I missed the first time through
yup :)
22 left...
well, I am standing by, ready to confuse whenver you want!
go greeny go!
Well, thank Lickety! He programmed it today, isn't that cool? Thanking him by clicking the links on the far right helps... I don't know how he can afford to do this for free, but bless him for doing so!
any of the un's would be helpful
Andrew McGee....and Charlie was his daughter....
Ankh -- it works very well for me -- especially since a friend pointed out that if you hold the Ctrl Key while turning scroll wheel on the mouse, you can alter the type size in the active window
anyone waching daily show right now?
wow Woulf, not just type size, the whole everything!
they just mentioned Babble. :)
it's only 8:30 ish here, pappa...
clues for any of the un's please?
5 to go
Ty, Woulfe! Now I can see!
Kit -- un + what you do to make a baby
also un + speak
un6/27--without footwear

liba -- that was way better than mine!

hey kalea
hello kalea! how goes it?
hi kalea
hiya pappa
hi, kalea
stid, that was a dangerous thing to say to a pregnant woman. lol
I forget who was asking about SOWPODS, but here's the politics of it all: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scra bble#Acceptable_words
and hi smooth pappa
Nice to meet you both!
hey woulf
hiya stid.....it goes well...........compasny gone, and now here to find my last 4

oops. sorry Kit... then you don't want to be told about the kids hitting adolescence, do you?
YAY dr!
Yayyy for dr!!
Cool trick, Woulf. What did Stewart say about Babble? I just turned it on, missed it.
Hiya Woulf
at least I'll have a practice round. My honey has a 10-yr-old
Bang! Boom! Pop! for Doc!
woooooooooooooooooohoooooooo dr
yay, doc!
it wasn't stewart, but one of the correspondants, who I don't recognize... just doing a featuretteon student clubs at OSU, and mentioned babble in passing
ha6/24 please
well, there's nothing like practice! :-)
ha 6/24 is german for "houses"
german for house + ENding
I'll have a teen and a toddler....scary thought
very scary, Kit! but on the other hand, you won't have two in diapers at the same time. advantages both ways!
yikes Kit.........that's scarier than Stephen King
at least my stepson is only here half the time.
I had a 11 year gap between my oldest and youngest...worked great....until the day My son couldn't understand why he could not take the baby for a ride on his bike (no child seat) "I'll hold her real tight! Promise!"
LOL, Summer -- you gotta love kid logic!
that's cute rose
so funny, summerrose!
my baby sister is 21 yrs younger than i......but there's 10 between us
an7?
an 7 is past tense of an 5/14: to irritate
I had to explain in great detail about what would happen if he fell...he was disgusted with me because he "never, ever fell"
an7......past tense of an5/14
Oh wow, kalea!! I salute your mother!!
*gulp* ten KIDS between you kalea?
lol Woulf
No way for me- labor nearly killed me...four was enough....
yes stid.....i am the oldest of 12
thanks
*wanders off, shaking uncontrollably at that many sets of braces, owies and proms*
*laughs*.......
My Grandma was the oldest girl of 11, and wasn't allowed to go to HS because they needed her at home to change diapers...how sad....

i missed a lot of school too, to babysit
go, grge!

go greeny go!
Me, too, Kalea- I was the oldest, and every time my Mom got sick, I had to stay home and babysit....
I didn't miss much school -- my younger brother was too close in age for me to do more than scold him and tattle...
Fireworks!!!!!!!!!
YAY Woulf!!!
woooooooohooooooooooooooo Woulf
did you finish, Summer?
way to go!
congrats woulf!!! I can't wait to see your faerie pic
Oh, Woulf, how wonderful!Congrats!
Yes, a while ago...But I am guessing that this was an easier puzzle than they usually are. Am I right?
I will most likely do it this weekend, greeny -- I usually don't have the opportunity to fiddle with the computer during the week until after the kids bedtime
Summer -- this is one of the smaller puzzles -- usually they are larger, though sometimes the teeny tinies are really nasty in their obscurity
I know exactly what you are saying...
Woulf, I had to wait years before we could afford for Mom to get her own computer...I can relate...good thing I am a night owl....
not too bad today, Summer.......i have 1 left, and never had to use the list
Greeny, do you need more help? I am fading fast here...
ugh! anyone ever design a website before? I don't reccomend it.
I used the list. It was my first time...but words kept popping out at me, so it was a combination of both
why not, pappa?
lol pappa...........with my puter know-how, i feel good to even USE a site, never mind designing one
well, maybe if I were more savvy, it would be easier... but every time I think I'm ready to publish it, I find something else wrong... and this things isn't even that complicated. A simple click and buy, with an easy interface, and simple graphics. No animations, music, or video.
Summer -- I used to be a night owl -- there are those here at Babble who can remember how this time last year I would be up until way late just to chat --- but my new job requires me to get up at 6 am so I can't stay as late as I used to
designing websites isn't so bad -- making them look good on most browsers is the tough bit! Hoping the new Internet Explorer follows web standards a little closer.
What are you using to write the code, pappa?
My husband told me that I should just trythings until I figured them out...the first thing I tried was the command to redo the whole computer....
hehe... that's the pathetic part, I'm not even really writing code... just using a site builder. Yahoo's, since that's where I have the domain registered
i got fireworks!
:o((( Woulfe 6 am...???? How horrible!
yeah kalea! :-D
hello, I'm back for my last 32 words
oh -- then your difficulty is probably on THEIR end. blame them, pappa, it's what they get paid the "big bucks" for. LOL I haven't done much with their site builder yet. Maybe I should keep it that way?
hiya harp
Boom! Bang! Pop! for Kalea
success! Yay!
8 left
that's true Woulf -- hadn't you best be toddling off about now?
YAY Kalea!
hi harp!
Hiya, Harb. Stid, I put no faith in IE *ever* getting closer to standard.
It's not so bad, Summer -- once you accept the need -- besides it means I get to be home with the kids every evening with no issues
go greeny!!!!!
stuttered again...and with my dsylexai, I'm hopeless....
now, now, stid -- I still have a few minutes left -- besides Seb will prob be up within the next 45 mins -- he went to sleep around 8:30
HA Nice logic stid. ;) The trouble I have is tinkering with my pictures, and getting all the text worded right... especially the legalize. And then I go back, and find something that I need to word different, or move that button 5 pixles to the right, or something tedious like that
My husband travels all week...very hard for me with four kids....
you seem to be doing fine to me, Summer
ankh -- is the pumpkin going to be your new look?
Yayyyy for kalea Hi harp!
Woulf, stidgrant admires your jack-o-lantern greatly!
oh -- so you're really doing a business site, pappa! good for you. At least you'll get some financial reward for you work!
T Y, Kalea...now that's a real corker for one with dysl. I want to type Kalae!
see, I told you-all I was fading, my typing and my spelling are degenerating really fast.
lol........is that the latin plural of my name?
heh... one last big thing to change is my picture. I really like it, but apparently, I look like some sort of creepy stalker or something. or angry, I've also been told. lol
I wish I had actually made it, stid --- I pulled it off the web months back
brb..........hubby wants tea
Yes, many Kaleas are Kalae.
brb...
he is thinking you did well just to find it! though it would be cool if you did stuff like that. We didn't get our pumpkins fully done yet... But stidgrant's is really awesome.
3 left...
When it's done, I'll put a pic of it on my frappr site for you-all to see.
go greeny go!
I just put wolf + jack o lantern into Google Images and this was the only pic that came up
can I have a clue for the un6?
smart. *wondering what would happen if I put flower + pumpkin in google*
to take shoes off
past tense
un 6: without footwear
I will post my jack o lantern this weekend as well -- it is simple and straightforward, but it looks good and made the kids happy so I am pleased -- whenever I try for fancy I always destroy the pumpkin
a horse with no shoes would be un ****

Nite, Stidmama!
