hi atty -- I think it's tough but I usually do before Lickety helps!
duz anyone here remember that laundry soap called Duz?
this is tough. it doesn't take me long to fizzle out, but i usually find the first bunch very quickly.
it sort of rings a bell jilli
did it do what it said it duz?
dum dum dum... the dreaded 14!
i remember that, jilli
guess most of the crowd is too young
nope, not I lol haven't heard the name for many years, but i definitely remember it.
Good Morning all - i fizzled out on yesterdays grid - still have a little food shopping to do today so maybe will get back later to try this one - in case i dont I wish you all a peaceful and very happy Christmas
I remember Duz. I can't remember what soap opera it was with though.

hi, jilli!
Es Hokay. Not quite Christmas here yet. A Merry Christmas and a great big HO HO HO to all of you.
I need a new icon...
merci, mkl
Angb, more likely, it's time lag on my old brain
Merry Christmas mkl
The sun is going down here on Christmas Eve. I will have to start wrapping the wee presents and fill up the Santa stockings soon.
Can't believe it's almost over. It always makes me a little sad.
the old grid is like a parallel universe
Merry
ang did you get rain today?
lol
good morning
Okay, close enough to an hour. Will someone clue me on the 8?
i love Christmas, but because I'm such a procrastinator, i don't start loving it until about now.
christmas ang
i know lib - i keep going back and looking
i love parallel universes
good morning lain :)
how do you go back?
A little - but the clouds have rolled away - a bit of cloud expected tomorrow but no rain - fingers crossed
I really love it the last day of school
mkl, the 8 is a pl
In my other parallel universe, I have a goatee and I'm the Emperor.
just back arrow on browser?
i have the window open in ie
Ok jilli, that's not funny.

it's been raining on and off here since yesterday morning - are you in Sydney?
oh, I may have lost it-- let's see...
ar8, mkl ;)
no Auckland, NZ - not Aussie
Where are you Crone?
sorry - couldn't see the red around the stars
or count
Jilli, it's a good thing we're not in my parallel universe. My wee, tiny semi-pickled brain needs an actual clue.
There's a white speck at the bottom - no - it's not dust on your screen
I'm in Lithgow - central tablelands of NSW
You must be Australian to know we have more stars
i'm aiming allllll my phasers at you mkl
Big hare has just run down my driveway
mkl -- it starts with a backside...
Ah my fellow trekie
guns , ammo....mkl
and alllllll my photon torpedos
my entire...
Crone - you'll be pleased with the rain then. I see our firefighters have come home after their duty over your side of the ditch
Aha. Thanks all. i see the threat of being in my parallel universe worked.
sorry we injured a few - hope the guy with the burnt airways comes good!
Crone I think they injured themselves ... life is. They looked alright. But not sure about the guy who was worst off. Must read the paper.
I actually got as far as the first six letters and couldn't take it the rest of the way until you clued me. What a Dork
hurshy, you crack me up with those clues! Very nice. :)
I'm so dense tonight, I JUST NOW realized that Hurshy was cluing me. :-)
nope, I can't go back-- ren, maybe rescue helen?
Hey, at least you're the emperor.
i keep seeing curse - curse it!
Yeah. I'm a legend in my own mind.
Hi frog - are you new to Babble?
well, how very nice to meet you frogtaco
Alright FROG. Just saw that you are Male! Not many of us in here.
who's done with E?
Not too new--just don't chat a lot. Or play that often, for that matter. :) Nice to meet you all.
A person who is not addicted .... how did you do it?
True enough, mkl.
I see you joined in July, frog -- glad to see you
I deci ded to change my icon

Not addicted? Just busy--work from home and am a stay-at-home dad.
it's working, luwanda -- refresh
I am still fighting the first t
ahah
frogtaco, i always want to know, when people work from home, what sort of work is it?
I've given up TV ... dessert ... and I am sure other things ... oh that's right better half LOL
one of my favorites
hursh -- read frog's profile!
I manage all the Web sites for a small game publishing company, and do freelance Web stuff.
Hey. So am I Frog. 'Course my last child is seventeen now, so not much to do in that area.
oh, i always forget about profiles :)
hmm web stuff. i spose a lot of work at home people do web stuff.
you're missing some interesting stuff, hurshy!

My daughter's almost 3, and we have a boy on the way in May.

keep at it, hursh!
later mkl
Keep at it hursh - but what will you do tomorrow?
See ya mkl
sleep, and then... maybe clean house? clue? i dunno
Is it just me or does everyone have lickety on the last puzzle?
cross that bridge when i come to it
I have 149 left--should I keep at it? ;)
ah screw it hursh - get some sleep - you'll need it tomorrow!
why i'm not doing anything tomorrow
I did - and still only finished 1/2 hour before closing

what fun angb!
Yes ... we won't repeat what mummy said
a two my son programed the vcr and broke the code that locked the tv
he obviously is doing very well in math at IU
they're way ahead of us technology wise that's for sure.
Haha Luwanda. I am sure they all have wonderful futures ... not sure what as though
too bad you can't make six figures playing videos
At our school we often get parents telling classes about their careers. One father - a pilot - told the 6 year old boys that Playstation (and maths) would help you be a pilot LOL
that must have been popular with thde other parents
my son did win
$40 playing nentindo
Yes ... my son has forgotten the maths part - but the PD part comes out everytime I threaten to burn the machine.

morning Haz
The grid looks nice this morning - other things to do, but I've been sucked in.....
Morning all
So far it is fun, but I just started. Hi FMitch :)
Good morning FMitch - how is the cold today?
Still there Haz but such is life. Hi sprite and Happy Christmas to both of you
hey how are we all
A shame about the cold - let's just hope your sense of taste is still there to enjoy your meal tomorrow.
Hi lady
Doing just fine, herin; hope you are too.
sad
Haz are you all set?
We're getting there - it's just occurring to me that my annual needle and thread task is coming up. The sewing of the stuffing into the turkey....
LOL I hope you've been practising!
sad is an enigma that often presents itself at what is to be a joyous occastion.
I haven't any wrapping done yet, but apart from that most other things are under control. If the sewing is a problem, husband can practice HIS stitching technique!
so true - having to be merry can make me very sad
yep my fav dog at my friends house has to go to the rainbow bridge tonight sorry for making anyone sad
Just as long as he doesn't expect the turkey to be covered in green drapes!
Good morning everyone!
morning con
Hello, ConX

hey ConX

I have found 7 words ending in -itch. None of them valid of course. It is a phantom ending! *hides in fright*
You seem to witch it were otherwise?
Oh yes, I'd really wand that
found re7 - someone who sees things as they really are
ed 5/16
ok so babble clued it ages ago and i missed it...
thanks ConX
:)
e plus d4/7
or a truthieist .... one who sees things s he/she wants to believe them to be as opposed to what they objectively are
ty
The soldiers did not want to work for me, so I was glad with your clue, ConX :)
yw sprite! *happy to have helped*
thanks haz for the e clue
that's tricky reading babble!
Do mercenaries get double time on holidays?
You're welcome Con - It sometimes helps to be asked for clues, I hadn't realised the word was there!
I think so, BabbleRabble - trice on Christmas Eve.
baxk
thinking of changing jobs for a couple of days, BR?
Nah, would take more than money to persuade me to dodge bullets again
youve had experience doding bullets? I can imagine no one would want a rerun of that!
Let's pray for peace - and let us start within in our homes and hearts.
Hear Hear sprite
always a good start, sprite!
I've just found the cu7 words that unites hairdressers and winter sports
cu6/24, cu7/36
And Hilda Ogden, of blessed memory.
The only one, I think. Memories like yours will probably never really go away, BabbleRabble? Must be horrifying to have to dodge bullets.
Wars effect more than the engagers.... their families and friends too will be changed ....forever
thank you haz, got the cu's - although I don't see how the winter sports fit in... it's hilda and the hairdressers that helped :)
I thank the stars every day that i live in Austalia and we are realitivly violence free
There's a winter sport practised in Scotland and Canada -it consists of hurling granite along ice. Those who practice is are cu7
thanks haz i missed that one
practise that should be.
The closest I have been to experience war personally is from my grandparents, who lived in WOII. I have seen how it has affected them and I am profoundly grateful I never had to be part of that kind of violence, or witness it from nearby. But I realise it still happens - not here, but right now somewhere else, it does. Terrible thought.
and, they are constantly cleaning the playing area
ah! thank you haz. I didn't know that!
I swear, the first time I saw that sport on TV I thought it was some kind of comedy show.
You see, Con, babble is not wasting time - we're learning new things!
i tell my other half all the time im exercising my brain
Winter sports tend to be like that, sprite. I mean, sitting on tin trays?
Indeed so haz, which makes it even MORE difficult to leave and go and do the things which ought to be done...
Well, I love to watch skating men :) But that C thing is just comical to look at. Especially those brooming guys.
Haz i have only seen the snow twce and i hate it. My dad used to steal grannies biscuit trays and slide down the street on them when they lived in england
More people than we know have been effected by war. And if not directly so, then as you say Babble, indirectly. The worse thing is that the traumas are passed down unwittingly to next generations. I long for the day when everybody will just stop fighting because it is just so horrible
I'm not sure of the tin tray spelling - is it luge? Anyway, I'm sure it's terribly skilful but it just looks suicidal to the uninitiated. And it HAD to be invented by someone with a tin tray and time to spare.
Going out for lunch - bbl to find 38 that are hiding - to those i dont see later - have a wonderful Christmas
bye ursh, happy christmas
Thanks ursh - Happy Christmas to you too.
lol haz
bye ursh, Light and Peace to you and yours :)_
*without the _*
bye ursh have a good day
And I should go too - lunch preparations for today AND tomorrow (getting darning needle ready) Bye all!
anybody seen the film 'Greystoke'? about Tarzan coming to the west.. the old man there took a tin tray down his stairs on christmas eve, one final time - in memory of something he used to do as a kid....
Have a great time, Haz!

Bye FMitch, best wishes to you and yours.
no splinters I hope herin?!!!!!
Happy Christmas and a peacful day babblers :)
ouch!
To get out early on a sub-zero cold day for a walk is an experience. The ground crackles beneath your feet. The fresh, cold air is envigorating. The quiet can be eerie. Even the wind that can pierce like a nail adds to the stimulation. Nature is so powerful; we are so helpless when its force decides to kick up its heels.
nope i just was nuts as a kid and did crazy things. The banister was polished
i hate the cold
sounds like fun, herin!
a cold winter's day with a clear sky and warm clothes with hot chocolate waiting by an open fire when you get home - wonderful.
Beautifully put, BabbleRabble. And I am with you, living in Holland we get our share of cold days. Also storms. I love storms.
it was that and sitting on the skateboard flying down our drive way
Bable thats a buetiful image
os5/10
i am glad in oz that it dont get horribly cold were i live
But nature is indeed very powerful. In holland we have no hills, and waterfalls are non existent. We took the kids to Switzerland and went to see the water fall where sherlock lost his life.... the power of that water fall was incredible. So forceful that my daugther burst into tears....
brb gotta make the hostess gifts for tommorow
bye herin. have a happy christmas
So true, ConX! Sometimes it is more than we can take in. Still, Holland has its moments of sheer power too.
ill be back nsoon have to melt choc an roll pudding in them\
Each country has its nature/natural power. I must admit tho' that it all depends on what kind of landscape 'got' you first. I've recently realised that a babbling brook does a lot for me... where I grew up we had one running next to the house and I never realised how much it influenced me

People's behavior tends to be consistent, so his false promises should be no surprise. He cares more about himself than you and the girls.

good idea!
Kate-of course you are getting a variety of perspectives, but I wanted to repeat what someone said yesterday that children are very perceptvie, and having the adults pretend that nothing is wrong is the scariest thing of all. No reason to be fake...this is a hard time. But they are safe and loved and life will go on fine, and that's whats important for them. You don't need to act all smilely when you're not, but just let them know that things are hard right now between you and their father, but that you are okay, and that it's okay to be sad and one can still enjoy other things.
Well said, Atalante! And on that, I must leave to see 3 hospitalized children. So be grateful for health, especially of our children in the world.

kate, here's an example of how not telling kids can go very wrong. a friend of mine is getting divorced because her husband ran off with another man. she has a son of 8. she didnt say much to him apart from daddy isnt here right now etc. son then saw daddy walking down the street kissing his new boyfriend .... = one very very confused and unhappy son
I am going to tell them something at some point, I just can't tell them right now, I need to at least get them through christmas
oh yes, I just thought of that though - someone else going through the same crap as you .... so I thought I'd share her experience
hi eva!
morning 6a!
sane
but i am going insane!!
I had really hoped I could wait until we get to toronto to tell them, so they don't have to see the pain he's feeling about them leaving, I thought we could protect them from that at least, but now I'm not so sure
just doing lunch, then off out in car to do quick present run, then back to do veg, etc, then tidy, then dinner, then tidy again then try to get kids to sleep..... what a day!
but maybe in the future it'll be good for them to have at least realised that he was hurting, rather to think he just waved you all off and danced off happily
bye gbm - good luck with all that - and have a merry xmas
it's so impossible to know what to do, I don't want to see them heart broken
eva - are the ski areas operating without wnow
second st6/21?
you're not going to be able to avoid them being hurt a bit, kate. you just have to be there for them to explain and reassure (my parents got divorced when I was 4 so most of this is remembrances from how I felt at the time!)
the eldest 2 have already lost one father, that tore them apart and he wasn't even worth it, James has been so wonderful to them until now, I wanted to make it as nice as possible for them, I thought I could do that, but he's ruining it
cape-the bigger ones are, but barely, and until about a week ago it wasn't even cold enough for artificial snow making-they'd make it and it would melt. Others, like Mad river Glen, which rely on real snow, aren't open. And so much industry around here relies on snow-plowing, etc. Also, the general warming trends are hurthing the maple sugaring. The trees aren't getting to "sleep" properly.
and kids are resilent! look at them when they fall down! they cry then run off and scrrech around at breakneck speed. they are tougher than we think, I think. But that must be so hard ... I'm not trying to belittle your situation in any any way, just trying to say that kids do survive these things if they understand what's going on, at least a bit
second st6/21, please?
I got to the ra words before I realized there was an h tile up in the corner.
wish i could help une, but i haven't gotten to the st's yet
Not that far yet unea, sorry.
You have a big brain, Kate. Use it. First, Kate, you need to decide the priorities here. You have a husband that wants a divorce. Why is he not talking to his child (children)? He is hurting? You are concerned about him more than your children about a choice HE made?
my son and family rented a ski house for the month of February at Killington - I'm hoping there will be good skiing by then, eva.
thanks, merk and jmann--it's just that it's my last word--ack! will keep looking
I'll be there soon.
cape, the fact is that for the past two years anyway, the bullk of the snow has been in Feb and March, not December, so keep your fingers crossed. And there will probably be all kinds of deals to draw people back.
No babble I'm concerned about him hurting them, he told me he would be here making the last couple of weeks fun for them so they could take happy memories of a loving father, and they could have kept in touch via messenger and phone, and I thought it would minimise the pain they felt about leaving him, but he's spoiling all that by not being here with them
got it--fireworks!! and must go start the Christmas Eve marathon of tasks! LOL! May everyone have an excellent holiday!
But Kate, you can't do what he should be doing.
I know I can't control him and make him do it my way, but I just want to minimise their pain
I feel sad for the whole industry, snow plowers, ski lodges, shops, this global warming is crazy
What was it unea?
st + ra4/5
congrats unea
Merry Xmas, Unea, and ty
thanks unea - merry xmas
James' actions speak volumes. You are not protecting your children from a man that would be a father.
that won't
I know you're right babble but I can't make myself accept it
I know, Kate ... your actions are those of one that doesn't want to burn bridges... of one still hoping for a reconciliation.
cape-I read an amazingly astute and involved article about the real costs of global warming, and we haven't even begun to imagine it. And I see no sign that we are going to do anything about it until it is much too late-if it isn't already. But having a president who is devoted to little but supporting profits for the energy companies sure hasn't helped.
I've accepted that we won't be together, but I can't let go of my best friend, I love him
did you see al gore's movie on global warming
The good thing about the situation in Vermont is that people are very hardy and frugal and things never get all that good economically here anyway, so there's not too far to fall.
No, I haven't seen it yet. Keep waiting for a moment when it wouldn't make me too sad.
I have to let go don't I
Sure, and there wil be harder days ahead. Until you come to grips with his decison, you and the children will be the worse for it!!!
did you see it? Was it all dire, or was there also inspiration?
yes you do dear *hugs* coming out of this friends should be a bonus, not a requirement. your children are the most important, if keeping him as a friend will impact negatively on them, he has to go
we rented it recently and I have respect for gore. If he had made the movie before the election, i think he would have won
the movie is a big wake up call
I wonder if he'll run again. Far rather have him than Hilary!
phantom-critters
I know that keeping his friendship would make things easier on all of us, but he's not being a friend, I don't know if I can let go of him as a friend, I hadn't bargained on having to let go completely
again, well said ata
mmm hugs Kate sorry lurling about brain is like a sack full of ferets
yet, sometimes it's easier to completely make that break - I'm not saying you should, but if he can't be there in the way that he needs to be as their father, then, like ata said, he has to go
if i can use your words ata
go ahead! its nice to have someone agree with me for once ;)
merry bloody christmas to me :'-(
think of it this way. 2007 can only get better *wry laugh*
kate i would like to hunt him down an put my brain ferets down his pants and bite him good and proper
no, it is a merry christmas to you - why? because you need to focus not on what's not working, but what you do have, and this (in the end) will show you what is really important, and who is important to you
back later
can someone cheer me up with a clue for the left i so I can blank a tile
and 2007 will be better - every bad experience that we have always gets better
oh, and you just used a word in your last message, if that helps
oh here he comes, looking like a sorry git

hello matty and bethanyej
Um im at 80 and lurking about at other web sites. I have 1 present to wrap as i shoved my partners stuff in a box which im thinking of wrapping to drive him nuts
put it in another box, and then wrap that, that would really drive him nuts - and heighten the suspense
i have put a pair of jocks over the lighter and lighter fluid so he can rattle the thing alll he likes but its not going to make a noise
clever
yep he opens it and theres a pair of trunks and then under that is the lighter, which to drive him nuts im thinking of wrapping
anyone got a clue for en6 18?

Happy Christmas Eve to you too, TO
Happy christmas temple
herinfernallady - it's the best way to prepare the turkey. Makes it really moist. You put in in salty water with garlic, juniper berries and a few other ingredients and leave it for 12-24 hours.
jmann- what do you do?
happy christmas eve day everyone!
And to you, anniebrook and all
hi annie!

bye MAH - good luck with the turkey, and if I don't see you before tomorrow, have a happy xmas
temple, I am feeling better today but still wiped out from all that
You too JMann.
annie, i am so glad! it takes a while
jmann what show are you taking on the road?
oh, its a dance piece, not a big musical, and the tour is only a couple of cities around the country
as a christmas present to myself i upgrade to pro!!!
Looking good, bethanyej -- welcome to Pro!
yah beth
I'm actually new to this company, so I haven't even seen the piece yet myself

ty annie - got it! well everyone - will be back later to finish.
You're in Toronto, aren't you Bonkler?
Matty, you know the television show about the group of strangers put in a house together, the show's title was "The **** World" .... use that word and put your left i + consonant + that word
ah, how's that going? Is it as tough in Canada as it is here? I've worked with a Canadian company, brought one of their shows down here, was a huge hit
just west of toronto
bonk, do you have a website with your songs?
Thanks ch!
Who are you really, bonkler - I'll look you up on imdb!
just in the process of building a site should be a month or two, as i'm facing a steep learning curve lol. my first foray into maintaining a site
well i'm sure youwill put it in your profile when you do

I have the SI + a small country road, SI + to borrow an item from someone else, and Indian musical instrument
colour - nice red brown orange colour an dpl
JMann is that 2 clues or one?
those were actually 3 different words
ah, thanks Ata - I was so close a couple of times (not that that matters at all, but its comforting to me)
Okay I'm dense (:) but definitely not getting the small country road. The 4 letter L country road word won't fit with an S in front...
I always forget those 2 words, JM, this time I remembered to *look* for them!
si + little road
sorry, those clues that I gave were for SI words
new album is almost done, i'll be posting songs once the site is up. thinking of making the project entirely web based. no physical cd manufacturing. save a lot of plastic. also using a rreative commons copyright, no drm, you can copy and share the songs as long as you give attribution and aren't selling them. and it will be an honour system for payment. sales pitch over. lol
oh, sI, not sL.... got it.
Sounds good, bonkler -- looking forward to taking a listen!
Ata - weren't they in yesterday's grid?
think so!
yeah, sorry about that - si (eye)

matty you want the an6/7 combo = uses double con
AR 7 = where you keep your guns and ammo (and it's plural)
Re7 and To7
Ihave the to...but not a tu (typing error)
can I have help with the la7 and si7 thank you!!!
CU 7/36 = what women put in their hair to make it less straight
matty...tu7?...is yours a different grid?
CU 7/36 = read the paper today and you will be up to date on CU***** events
la + double consonant + poular tv show about hospital emergency place ... then plural
There is An7 too, matty
matty, an6-7 strenghten by heating and cooling
si6-7 a yellow-brown color, often "burnt si6"
No TU - that was just a mistake...
LA 7/28 = plural of the LA 6/18 = LA + a double consonant + a hospital emergency room is also called an **
et tu, brute
I now have the an, looking for the RE
LOL....thought so!!!
matty, take off your rosecolored glasses
TA 7/28 = more of one of the 5 senses than something else = My pie is TA***** than your pie
matty, someone gave a great clue for the re earlier... re+ santa's making * **** and he's checking it twice
Thanks Ornith - that was a great clue!
tis the season to be jolly, Fireworks are my folly!
grats inge
RE 7/28 = someone who isn't a pessimist or an optimist = they live in the RE** world (RE 4/4 right above it)
congrats inge
yay inge (i think?)
yes, Dorens, I got to the end at last
RE 7/28 can also be clued as RE + the first vowel + before going to the grocery store you make a shopping **** of what you need
well- i'm half way there and need to do some things...be back later
si 7 = the plural of the si right above it = a color
TO 7/28 is plural of the TO 6/18 right above it (are you sensing a theme here - there are many plurals) = people who work hard
Got al lthe sevens now! Onward (79 to go)
all of the TO words build on the first TO 4/4 = meaning to work
Now I need a break, will come back to clue, since I snitcked so many of your clues this morning. Bye
Well with everyones help that was the fastest 9 seven letter words Thank you
bye inge - and if i dont see you later today, have a very merry xmas

a+re4/4
thanks ursh!
Well, I've made my starter for tomorrow (smoked mackerel pate) and my homemade apple and cranberry sauce. Yum
wow, mattygroves...we're coming to YOUR house for Christmas! :D
an= **list in the army + short for another way of saying road
Thanks ursh!!
thanks again ursh... that's an obscure one!
The cranberry sauce is VERY easy to make. Take a pound of fresh cranberries, 2 or 3 apples (depending on the size), a cup and a half of sugar and bung it in a pan. Cook covered on medium heat until the lid is hot to the touch. Turn the heat down to low and simmer until done (until it looks like cranberry sauce, if you see what I mean) - that takes around 12 - 20 minutes.
last re5/10 please - i hate re words!!
and the army word is there too ;)
re5 having to do with kidneys
ty bubba
Thank you matty! My beloved is reading this too and so now he has the recipe and can try it out! I just discovered FRESH cranberries thanks to him, and now would not ever touch the canned junk
yw
ah, the an5/10 right after that 6 is the same word with a snaky letter removed
Peel, core and dice the apples, CH, just in case you hadn't worked that bit out ;)
we all ready for christmas
She went into the other room, but I will give it a try today. I am planning on fixing roast pork stuffed with cranberries, but this sounds like a better accent.
Would someone please give me a clue like (example, i know this one) you might put your house up for **n*
Thanks, Ornith - got it! Matty, I'm back and I see my beloved answered you. He's the main chef in our household :)
ok, got my 100 words and all slow, so going to head off... maybe back later. Merry Christmas all! and Ata, you never did respond to that email I sent you ages ago
Happy Christmas, Ornith ... M.P. which ones do you want a clue for?
I know *HUGE blush* actually I found it yesterday - my email is a nightmare, Im getting so much spam I'm finding it really hard to keep track of proper emails
Glad I could help - my mum gave me the recipe, and I'm sure it's the best in the world. Oh - one more thing - after the sauce is cooked down, add a half tsp cinnamon, and an eighth of a teaspoon allspice and ground clove.
hey smiley nice rainbow flag
a question - would upgrading to Pro make lickety's page upload automatically? :-)
I will after Christmas. Am going on a huge email organisation thing
Ata, I can send you a gmail invite if you like

Got Russel one
I had a hard time with that one too, matty.... if you have the an6/18 right before it, remove the plural letter
Huh Haz?
Obviously not!

So the moral of the story is - try absolutely everything.
I thought I had LOL
Atalante - we have the emergency line today. One character rang up looking for a large veterinary syringe to assist in beer making.....
LOL!! That's fabulous
did you oblige??
I suggested that the vets maybe wouldn't appreciate opening up the surgery to supply syringes on a Sunday, but to speak to local farmers and sterilise what they have.
He was quite pleasant about it so there was no problem.
good answer!
isnt it a bit late to be *making* beer right now?
You learn to think on your feet in this business!
Maybe it's for next Christmas. I just hope to goodness it's not 'wee still' or poteen. That stuff is lethal....
yes .... desperately!
I'm in a real fix here, I appear to have all the 7s that are on Lickety's list, but still have one to go according to Babble ! Have I missed something here?
liz, there are 9 sevens
The stock answer is usually to refresh, lizmac (boring, I know)

middle column le 4/4 = garland
nothing as exciting as that Frances... used to see her fly past my house every evening on the way into Heathrow... immediately recognisable...
le4/4 rhymes with not imaginary
lizmac os5/10 willow or variety of North American dogwood
lizmac - willow - third day running in the grid...
os 5 = in olden days the town cr*** was at work keeping people informed
TY..got it now!
I was lucky enough to work for PanAm and we got very favourable rates on Concorde. Just so sad that I will never be able to do it again.
hrd to believe she was taken out of service... I'd rather have paid to keep Concorde flying than to build the Millennium Dome...
like some of these are totally nervous words
IR6/18?
When you think of the number of DC10s that went down and they are still flying. One mishap with Concorde and they give it the chop.
nervous ren?

Oh Judi, a fez! Ever read, A fez of the Heart? Great book
No, Hydra. Never heard of it. What's it about?
thanks hursh
About a journalist/writer who is researching the history of the fez. His travels take him all over Turkey and it's extremely funny.
He's a handsome chap, your icon
Sounds amusing. I'll have to look it up. My icon is stil the same from yesterday (theme was hats).
Oh. Didn't realise. I'd have swapped my cat for a hat! I s'pose today's is Christmas.
Your kitty icon is sweet, Hydra. At first glance, I thought it was a calf, until I clicked on it. Puss in Tux.
That's my Felix! He's cute.
I never keep up with the themes ... do I need to grab my hairshirt and find a corner?
My bad cat, Norman, was out all night last night. Came home with a scratched nose and ear. Out boxing with the other neighborhood cats I guess.
Not with interesting icons like yours, Rab!
Naughty Norman. Hope he's OK.
Oh, he'll be fine. He's sleeping it off on the big puffy chair right now. I'm sure he'll be there allllll day.
Why do cats always have a more relaxed life than us? Could it be that we have to work to provide their catfood?
I've two left - the last ti5/10 and the probably related ti6/18...
Face it, Hydra... we've been willingly enslaved by four-legged, furry creatures.
Down to my last 9 words. All t's
french for name of book
ti 5 = wood comes from a ***e
You're right, Judi. Tho my friends who are coming for Xmas dinner tomorrow are slaves to their budgie!
what's a budgie?
Speaking of food, it's time to go to the pet supply store to buy more for dog and cats.
Thanks Babble - that's me with **fireworks**. I can recharge my 'puter now. Thanks for your help and see ya later!
Whoo-hooo, matty!!!!!

"All creatures great and small. The Lord
hohohello
Hello, and happy holidays
God made them all"." Apropos to the conversation, the cat stepped on the keyboard, so I couldn't finish my sentence! (they know when we're talking about them!)
Hiya harpjane. Had to click your icon to see what it was. Very seasonal!
If you're off now, Judi, have a GRRRRRREAT Christmas!
lol judi
I'm off. BBL though. Happy Christmas, Haunnakuh, Kwanza, what have you.
how many to's are there?
Im back!!!
Hi caitlyn. All ready for tomorrow?
6 to words hurshy
Morning everyone. Hurshy, did anyone tell you what a budgie was?
Merry Christmas!
no they did not mkl
Can anyone clue the an7,28?
Merry Christmas, matty!
Morning mkl Merry Christmas
It's what we in the States call a parrakeet. They're actually Budgies.
pl of an6, an + mr. armstrong spelled funny
are there 12 ti's then?
Everyone, evrywhere else in the world calls them budgies. (And they're right)
an+homonym of getting down on your leg's mid joints!
Yes hurshy
budgie budgie budgie, this is a nice word
so what do you call proper parakeets?
Yes, 12 ti's
wait what's a PROPER parakeet?
We call them whatever type of parrakeet they are. There are dozens of types. Have to admit, Americans really screwed that one up.
actually, mkl... it depends on what bird you are refering to. The term parakeet is used way too broadly, often covering several species of birds
for the little bird that people most commonly buy their name is actually a budgerigar.
or Melopsittacus undulatus
now... if you're talking about something like the Alexandrine Parakeet, that really is a prakeet, and not related to the "budgie"
and man! are those things (alexandrine parakeets) loud... and annoying. lol
pappa is like me with star trek :)
only with parakeets instead
***Fireworks*** Merry Christmas, everyone. Have a really good one!
Happy Christmas everyone. 7am on Christmas morning. Stockings have been opened, and their is peace for 1/2 hour (except for the cap guns and recorders)
I cant stop..I just wanted to wish all my Babble friends a Merry Christmas and a happy and Healthy New Year..Enjoy your holidays all.bye
the force is strong in you ...
i think the pirates did it mkl
happy christmas ang!
may i have the point total please?
lol hurshy... I'm a wealth of kowledge on the strangest topics. ;)
bye caitlyn
1868 points
And to you Ata
i dunno pappa, my topics might be stranger. ty caitlyn.
enjoy cait!!!
that one came about becuase I had a book when I was a kid about a "bdgie" I had no idea what it was so i studied it for a bit. lol
ar 7 & 8? I have a fair idea what they relate to, just think I can't spell them.
Can someone hit me with either of the si6,18? I have the first one.
bunny: AR7 is a stockpile of weapons
MKL one of them is SI**** night, holy night
there is also SI + where you go to bowl
by the way, mkl... where in alaska are you?
That fair idea went out the window, then. I'll work on it, ty.
I live in a tiny little town called Salcha. About 35 miles south of Fairbanks, and 20 miles south of North Pole.
The eight is a plural?
how is fairbanks? I've always sort of pined to live there... I think the winters would be very agreeable to me. :)
yes, bunny
Papa, the bowling clue? Are you talking about l***, as in superman's girlfriend Louis L***, cause that would'nt take it.
yeah I was refering to that... that's what I have on my list just under the 6/7 pair
Right now it's great. Only about 5 below. Normally, over the course of a whole winter we hit 40 below a handful of times. Last year we hit 61 below, but it only stayed that low for a day. Jan, Feb, Mar, 20-30 below is very common
the first ne5? I have ne***to you, 23 skiddoo
does anyone have the e and the u from the first column
I have the grecian u
e + du4
mkl... the coldest I've been was -40... I loved it! it normally doesn't get much colder than -10 maybe 1-20 one or two nights
and related to pee
ata said is be a wee acid wurdy
hurshy... if you want strange topics, do a google search on this guy: Xenoturbella
ed 5/16 -- take another word for subtract and leave off the first letter.
thanks very much guys
gals
One of the coldest nights I ever lived through was in Wisconsin
is it bad that I know what Xenoturbella is?
so. does anyone have the first n5?
Summer's beat the wholy H*** out of Madison. 70's is normal. Only hits 80 MAYBE a handful of times. In the six years I've been here it's only hit 90 once.
aren't those wonderful jane? the memory of those nights gets me through summer. lol ATL... bad... no... scary? a little. ;)
Fireworks
god, mkl... this summer with that freak heat wave we broke 100 a couple of times
rhymes with a bank he*** ... robbery
smooth pappa - my husband and I are huge green bay freaks and we went there for a game and the cold was like nothing we have ever experienced before it was crisp and clear you could see stars so close you could touch them. It was beautiful. We always refer to it as gren bay cold....and we live in MI
well done merk!
By the way papa, that bowling l*** was accepted after the third attempt. (Must have been the tenth frame)
yayayayya merk!!!!
wurdy, I know what you mean, and I think a place like fairbanks would be even better... especially with the northern lights... ahhhh... I'll make it there someday
mkl... that's odd! lol
I was driving cross country and we stopped at a diner in Madison. It was 35 below (NOT wind chill, actual temperature). There was a couple in the diner, at 3:00 a.m. She put all her quarters in the juke box (yes, quarters!) and played the same song over and over. They sat looking into each other's eyes while she sang along......
the last st5/10 please

You should have seen the Aurora last week when we had those solar flares. WOW.
One of the more surreal experiences of my life.
that would be wonderful. We used to live in metro detroit and we moved about a year ago to North of metro area. It was wonderful but now everone keeps moving here and is wrecking my peace
I've only seen the aurora during solar flares once, what a trip!
egads harp! what an experience!
Yep harpjane, that sounds about like a normal couple from Wisconsin. Severeal of our best serial killers are from there. :-)
I was thinking about you guys up there MKL... I bet it was wonderful
the stand by your man experience i mean
Make them all join the International Dark Slu Association, so they'll learn how to use yard lights correctly!
wierd jane... i bet that was a trip!
Pappa, they were BRIGHT red, and so active you would swear you could hear them. (Of course you couldn't)
Make that International Dark Sky Association
And yes, it was a trip in a lot of ways!
I'm new to this but addicted. Can you help me get last few before my guests arrive. Both st 6/21?
My oldest daughter lives in Madison
It happened in 1975 and I can still remember all the details of that diner...

hi pappa,
from whence cometh the full pantry?
Santa arrive early?
metal don't get the clue :(
the grocery store... I'd been avoiding it for a long time... eating just bare essentials... I figured si\unday afternoon... christmas eve, the store wouldn't be nearly so busy... and I was right. Still prett full, and people... they just can't seem to learn how to drive a shoipping cart. lol
giving up on the A words for a while, bbl
this is nothing compared to the last minute rush that will come later today (spoken as a veteran of the store's customer service booth for 6 holiday seasons)
sorry I couldn't help peri
lol I know! I worked at a walgreens that never closed, and on christmas day we were so busy... mostly people buying things like milk, bread, and other things they forgot before the stores closed
we also had a few people on thanksgving day pissed because we didn't sell whole turkeys. lol
isn't it amazing the things people expect other people to provide, to remember, to do for them?
so, ow I'm enjoying a drink of coconut juice before I head off to my mom's.... Yeah meta... I mean, walgreens isn't a grocery store, and they were the idiot that forgot to buy a turkey until thanksgiving day. lol
and, not at all in the same vein.... has anyone heard from Kate (kthdsn)... how's she doing?
seems to me that person deserves to go turkeyless
heck, order chinese food and have a good time
lol
I didn't see kate today, but I heard she was talking with ehr husband
I also heard that she has had better christmases
using all four letter words I hope
I wish there was something I could do for her... but we're so broke it isn't funny and bf may not have a job much longer
ml Kate was on earlier today looking for company and still tearing her hair out over what to do
bless her heart. she's really going through the wringer
I know meta, I'm in the same situation... sortt of... my gf didn't lose her job, but when we split, and she moved out my bills doubled.
you keep your fingers crossed for us, I"ll keep my fingers crossed for you and we'll both keep our fingers crossed for Kate
ty Frances
I have something for you, If I can find it
sure thing meta. :)
For me? I'm intrigued
yes Frances, for you. I came across some quilt related jpgs I thought you might like
I can put them here as my icon for you to capture, or I can email them, whichever you'd prefer
How wonderful - thank you
would you rather have them here?
or via email?
e-mail would be great. Addy in profile for a while
got it
will let you know as soon as they are on the way
love your tree frances!
Morning all - happy christmas.
Thank you Eva
mornig/afternoon ang
Hi Ang. Happy Christmas to you and yours
Christmas morning here. Kids playing with new playstation game - peace for a while.
Enjoy it while it lasts!
hi Ang, Eva and of course Merp
Hi metal
they are on the way Frances. The subject line reads: quilt jpgs from Metaleather from Babble
ahhh... coconut juice... that was so refreshing... but now I must be off... I may not be back until tuesday. but probably tomorrow night. Bye all!
'bye pappa, have a happy holiday
hi metal. Merp is deeply asleep, but I'll relay you greeting later.
bye smooth
speaking of felines... my old fella just looked up from his heating pad warmed next box beside my desk and blinked sleepily
oh boy, don't let Merp hear about the heating pad or his expectations will go way up.
How do you keep him from puncturing the wiring with his claws?
lol, it's spoiling him I know... but since he's so aged and has had his health problems we try to cater to his needs/wants as much as we can
the pad is beneath more than a few layers of soft fleecy material
hell fellow babblers how is the christmas eve puzzle?
and, he was front declawed ( a barbaric practice) before we got him a few years ago
Hi Enom
the puzzle... is not insurmountable
Absolutely! Let's just hope that someone is as generous to us in our dotage. My last cat, who made it to 19 and a half, got whatever she wanted and needed. Merp is only 13 or so now, but his girth has recently kept him from being able to make the leap to the counter to be brushed and fed in the morning, so he is now getting a lift.
i've even finished.
Hi all - just in to shut down - 10.18pm here - busy day tomorrow - hope you all have a lovely and peaceful Christmas
already? i am barely starting (sneaking away from all the cooking!)
I have 43 left and have been stuck for a while. I'm too lazy today to make much of an effort.
I'm thinking I'll probably be the crazy old cat lady on the corner, or in a nursing home... since I have neither chick nor child as the saying goes
any clues for the 8 letter one? I am lazy...
hi ursh, have a happy holiday
It's an ar 8 - where you keep guns plural
Bye ursh - happy christmas
ar8.... gun or other weapon repositories
ty - That got me a 7 too ;)
Happy christmas enomis
sounds good to me metal. Wasn't so appealing this morning when I went to pee and stepped on a recycled mouse on the bath mat.
keep shortening it, it'll get you a bum as well
Eva - That happened to me as well!
ewwww
recycled mouse parts
the non-cat people must love hearing these intimate details of cat digestion(-:
LOL metal!
this was more of a mouse tube.
my dig was not impressed at that "gift"
it could be worse, we could be describing human digestion
bad night in the mouse kingdom
Rock's not a mouser, but he does love to chase moths
have you noticed that some moth's seem to be toxic? i.e. get tossed back up?
and is heck on his little dangly earplug toy (the noise reduction foam bits on plastic string which factories issue their employees)
any clu for the bottom L?
Rock doesn't eat them, just chases and swats
Merp is pretty good with flies too, which I really appreciate.
I can never keep straight which word comes from which originating letter
enomis-like dinner, breakfast, etc, but change the first consonant
eva ty never heard of that!
wonderful christmas concert on npr-fantastic version of People Get Ready
I never did either, but figured it needed to use both l's since that's the only way it wouldn't count under the earlier l.
Ecomis a Scottish word meaning tr4/5
People Get Ready?
any "i" clues please? I have the small place
true
what about the tiny amount and amounts
and the intestine
enomis-something which is not quite believable, or not true, or supernatural, is the ir6/18
and the "fantasy"
Frances, did the email arrive safely?
great spiritual metal
what is the 2nd letter for the intestine and tiny amount?
I thought I recognized the title, but wasn't certain
Ty for the supernatural...
L for the gut
o for the amount
it's The Blind Boy's of Alabama, doing a gospel Christmas. Never heard them before, but they're worth lsitening to!
Thanks ml - yes I replied to the e-mail. Did you not get it?
NPR here doesn't have the same music on I guess... it's all instrumental here
TY TY TY
sorry, I haven't checked yet "blush"
hi all
I did get it, and, you're very welcome
hi kt
Hi Kate. How are you?
Hi Kate. How are you?

Hi kthdsn!
I've got the kids to sleep, the gifts laid out ready to wrap, and the food all stocked up in the kitchen
I'm taking a break to babble for a while then I'm going to go wrap
Well done Kate. That sounds good
good deal Kate. take a mental break and join our babbling bunch
which one Eno?
any clues for the 8 letterer?
Both <bulsh> please...
the 4 or the 5?
I've had a bit of an emotional day today, but I got a phone call from my mum which cheered me up loads
weapons repositories Reese's
that's good news Kate.
aha! thank you!
the os5 is a willow variety
found the 4 letter os!

hi dorens,kithdsn,& mymuse
what about that A on the bottom?
aa + two consonants kate
what a stupid word lol ty
yes, but it does appear here from time to time... i recognize it...tells you how much time i spend here!
dictionary says that it's the american association of law schools
enable is odd
Am I going mad? Don't answer that! I have both A words from the bottom A and neither begin with aa!!!
now wouldn't you think that would be a proper noun?
oh didn't even notice lol no that was from the side A
ah-- it is the word that means awake
well, maybe it's a plural
and the silly 4 comes from the second row a...sorry, my mistake
but i do have my fireworks
kate you need al5 and al6 from the bottom... conscious, awake
Thanks Kate. That makes more sense.
they're from the side one too
The two bottom As begin with an surely?
ok then you nead the an words?

li6/18 - having to do with the spleen, recline + adj ending (first two letters of opp of nothing)
but it looks like it would be pertaining to a claim against property
If you have the an5/10 right after it, just remove the snake
(Inge2 means put a snake INTO the an5)
an6/18 against, near ... Scottish dialectic British English word

How do you tell which words you have on Lickety's metaleather?
ne5 -- Homeland Security issues terrorist al****
you bring up Lickety's list on a different browser tab or window.... then enter the words you've found in the box at the top of the list... the words automatically appear in their proper place/order below
That's the one that I DO have Babrab. Do you have the other?
Thanks metaleather
ne 5 - diplomacy with a clenched f***
yw MP

The very first word on the list is aa4/4. Add the first initials of a hallucinatory drug.
Okay, got the 'illuminated plural' thing
al 4/4 - dogs, wolves, horses are *nim*ls
The plural is the beer, the illuminated is different. The other al4/4 indicates 'as well'

st6/21 - st plus a word that sounds like 'anger' with a w missing at the front
st 6 -- The Grapes of W****
It means a wide valley in Scots.
thanks Haz and Babble
It said that they didn't exist in the puzzle
Am I doing something wrong aren't those the words?
M P - you must be typing in the words wrongly. How many words have you found so far?
I have found 37 let me try again after that I have to log out
Okay - with practice you will find the words more easily.
BabbleRabble I love your bio readings. I hope Kate reads them as well
Thank you
Thanks, yeah I know, bye it's only my, what, fifth puzzle

What a relief, Kate. Are the girls excited out of their minds?
CU 7/36 the second one please
yeah, took ages to get them to sleep
When you read the newspaper you are reading cu***** affairs.
I did so much shopping and I've ended up with 3 really small looking piles, I could have sworn I'd bought more than I did
Duh! Thx Scrabbler
I am also not seeing the ANs 5s and 6s
and 7
cu6/24 anyone? ty
an + boys name ; then plural
What you use in your hair to get waves= cu6, then pl for 7,24
thanks scarbbler.....
oh duh lol ty scrabbler
1st an6,18 = an + "After this th**, we will...." + abbrev for road or avenue
1st an5,10= an + abbrev for ear, nose and throat MD
((These weird words are quite difficult to clue!))
Next an5,10 = an + rescue collie dog of the 1960's, ***sie.
Next an6,18 (then 7,28 is pl) = an + man's name, homonym for playwright Neil Simon
That is the list of an5's and an6's, bleugirl.
scrabbler, they are great clues...
They are good clues only if someone understands them.
can I have a clue for the last O, I have 3 grease related words and os4
os4,4= os + first 2 letters of Canadian woman below
Sorry, os 5 is what you need, = willow branch
ah ty
oooh arlene you're in toronto, will you come to the babble meet up I'm arranging when I finally get out there
sure thing..... when are you coming out?
Where in TO do you live, arlene? I live south of Buffalo.
as soon as possible, hoping for jan 11th but the money hasn't materialised yet
I'm in Etobicoke, just off the lakeshore.
I've always wondered how to pronounce that place...
I always love saying that name, Etobicoke.
me, too....
e- to- bi -co
Once a group of us drove up to TO for the Canadian Open Tennis Tournament and we got lost leaving the city. When we saw the signs for Montreal and saw the lake on our right, we knew we were in big trouble!
oh ok, nothing like I would have said it lol
yep, that would indicate the wrong direction.
401, 403......Don Mills....chaos and confusion. Then getting directions from a foreigner at a gas station makes it worse.
i'm still learning and I've been here 4 years
hi, all
hi pam
Hi Pam!!!
hi pam
hi, scrabbler, arlene, and kate
Kate, I asked about you a few hours ago. How are you doing?
very emotional today but I got a call from my mum which cheered me up loads
oh, good. Because when I asked, I was told you were upset and I felt badly. Is your husband making it hard for you to go? And, how are the girls?
the girls are fine, excited about tomorrow. He's neither here nor there right now, he keeps saying he'll be here for the girls sake til we can leave, but he keeps not turning up, I have given him one last chance to try and do what I think is the right thing and be here for them, I hope to god he takes it and actually comes home
you would think he would understand how important tomorrow is for the girls. You have no idea how sorry I am for all that you are going through. And, I know it seems like this isn't so, but it will get better.
I thought I was ready to let go, I thought I could get over him, but then I saw his face today and realised just how much I love him, it breaks my heart that I can't show him how I feel
You can love him AND also realize that he is not acting like a responsible husband and father. But love is not enough to make a healthy relationship, and he has proven that.
I know, Kate. I know. It wasn't long ago that I came on this chat to tell people my story. And, they were right. i had to take care of me, and do my own work and let time do the rest. But, I don't have kids... Try to remember it's not about you. That he didn't tell you how he was feeling, that this is his issue.
I know, he knows too, he's promised me that he will try for them, he's still trying to get some money for us so we can get the hell out of here, I just hope he doesn't blow it again, because if he does, I'll have to get rid of him and tell the girls how it is, and I don't think I can bring myself to tell them
All I can do right now is make sure my girls have a lovely christmas whether he turns up or not, I think he will show up, I really hope he does
Well, i certainly hope he shows up for their sake.
One idea is to say, "Sometimes grown-ups have trouble with being grown-ups, and your father is now having a hard time being a husband and a father." Let them know that things are NOT their fault or their responsiblity to fix. Let them know it is a grown-up problem, and it is OK to be sad,mad and confused.
Well put, scrabbler.
very well put.... also mention that you are sad, mad and confused as well.
Part of growing up is to have one's feelings listened to and validated, and then to learn to make healthy decisions with feelings. i.e. tantrums don't work; using alcohol is unhealthy.....but discussing feelings (or drawing pictures or writing stories= for kids) and solving problems is how to deal with life.
Sorry, I am getting carried away, but I am trying to give you some concrete ideas, Kate.
Anybody need clues before I go?? My bunnies are ready for their salads. (Callie came running in here to notify me with some ankle nips.)
sorry I am reading, just forgot to answer
not right scrabbler... thanks for the previous ones.
have a good holiday

Merry Christmas Scarlet
I don't think so, barkingkel -- how does it work?
your bio says you like all games, it is a card game that is lots of fun.
Thank you Mom. This has been the warmest, most beautiful in my 61 years.. and not because of "stuff" but because of family, laughter and sharing.
i am into icons tonight, too tired to completely focus on words
2nd se 4.4? 34 left, I just don't know...
Scarlet -- I believe that PC was invented by lawyers who couldn't get enough clients otherwise

LOL GW... New Jersey got first choice
LOL GW... New Jersey got first choice
I am so glad for you. Families are a wonderful thing
pc came about by title vii
Amen Grey Woulf
se + consonant + pl
Right on Scarlet - we decided not to exchange "gifts" but rather to give to more needy and just enjoy a beautiful tree, lots to eat and the pleasure of family and friends
barkingkel - I have seen it, but have never played it -- I love card games because most of them are quick and easy enough for people to play at social gatherings -- my big prob is I have no one nearby to play with
os 5, 10 pls
os + same ending as the ta7
we in the legal ar 5/10 did not invent it
Thanks, Mom... and Flosey, there was so much for us to feel true gratitude. The last year was a true challenge... but I felt like Tiny Tim: "God Bless us, every one!"
thx bubba

sorry, Flosey, I misspelled your name
(sorry for ducking in and out like this, multitasking...)
an+ abbreviation for Los Angelis + pl
we are working on it -- the events of the past year and a half have contributed to us becoming semi hermits -- a situation we are working to rectify
dr. another word for girl

WTG dr
Nice work, dr9397
another limitation we have here is only one car and mom's paranoia about being able to venture out solo with a headstrong 3 yo and a newly toddling 11 mo old
Good night everyone and Merry Christmas, long busy day tomorrow!
good night bubba -- sugar-plum dreams!
Good night Bubba and a very Merry Christmas to you and yours
tidings bubba
Good night and Merry Xmas, bubba
yes, Woulf, that compounded our problems, with my health issues it was hard to get out with other mothers with kids the same age.
night bub!
good night Bubba and Merry Christmas to you and yours
may i have a clue please for the second si6/18?
GW-i am having the what to do with two issue now. It seems like so much work to go anywhere with two.
bubba, may peace be your beacon and health be your gift.
si+country road TO
exactly - kel -- I have no concerns about going anywhere with one, but if I have to take both I usually just head over to Gramma's so that if I have bathroom concerns I don't have a parade :-)
I've given up w. 23 to go...can't...think...
relarion, i feel the same way
os5?
barking -- you will get used to going out with two -- I learned to pre-pack diaper bags as soon as I got home from an outing. That way I could grab it and the kids and go when I had the energy. Also keep (my kids are now teens) a "busy bag" in the car with favorite activities -- now these are books, paper and markers -- and a few snack items (juices and cookies or something).
sl5/10 please?
ALL the ra words except the rodents are a mystery to me.
woulf, the willow tree
sl 5/10: more cunning, more canny, TO
You're in better shape than I am, rel... still 51 more and must get some sleep.
more sneaky, TO
add a round vowel to the end of the rodent word, relarion
well there is a proportion
and make it into a fraction and plural; the first ra usually comes with an E in front meaning to "blot out"
I am giving up - stuck on 96 words. Off to bed. Good night everyone and Merry Christmas.
sweet dreams Mom!
Thank you Stidmama
"Bye Mom. Best wishes for the very best.
thanks TO -- I didn't get the clue, but Kirsten did, and she is pleased as punch about it too cos she is in awe of my obsession with this game :-D

night, barking el
Got it, thx!
G'night kel -- give the little one a hug from me and good luck -- hopefully the merry day will not be to rough for you
Happy holidays, barkingkel... sorry you have a sick little one.
I was naughty today -- tom baked pizzas for the boys and though I shouldn't eat wheat or cheese I had a tiny slice. It was SO GOOD!
Thanks all, wishing everyone fireworks for Christmas ;)
WTG Barkingkel congratulations and Merry Christmas
Stid, that's not so naughty... eating two pieces would have been on Santa's no-no list.
1st ne 5.10 pls?

st 6/21:st + ra 4/5

TA 7 is more delicious...
Whoa, stid, thx!
I am hoping not, Scarlet -- last time I had wheat I couldn't wear button-up pants the next day.
