I am fine with Zs, even though it takes me ages to find them. Ks just give me a mental block. I see the grid, I see the K and CLANG, door goes shut :)

I was looking for the things they take out with tonsils
found my favorite tapeworms too, both spellings
speaking of that ursh, i think my daughter's have to come out...she's only 22 months old!
her pediatrician said her tonsils are the biggest he's ever seen and so did the specialist.
awwwwww that is sad :( But the younger they are, the shorter they take to heal, that is a small consolation.

Gramma---yes, usually we see Flu in Jan-Feb, and after seeing no cases we thought the winter illness season would calm down this month, but Flu has hit!
scrabbler, i witnessed the birth! i've seen lots of other animals being born, but never kittens. mother cats have a horrible job - i didn't realize they instinctively eat the afterbirth of each kitten.
we have 1 all grey, 2 grey and white, 1 all black and 2 black and white.
Scrabbler we have had the flu around here,but now we have chickenpox..my smallest grandaughter (2 years) has had it quite badly

Good news of the week - my 86yr old Mum had hip replacement on Monday morning and up and walking by Wednesday lunch - soooo thrilled with herself - says she considers herself pain free at last

i opened lickety's (but not as a new tab, so it's independent of the babble window). I closed it in so only the "add Word" part shows. so every time I get a word in the grid, it type it in the lickety's box, without viewing the list. then when i'm ready for the list, the words are already there!

to make the numbers go down on lickety's you must enter the word in the add word box, so the word gets entered in it's place and gets a green check. otherwise, the numbers won't go down unless you click the on/off circles. also, if you've entered words and checked them off yourself in their appropriate spot, just hit enter after you do and the cursor jumps up to the Add Word box and the numbers will "jump" down by the amount of new words you've entered.

but you should know that most of us who finish take HOURS at it (no, I don't have a life, don't ask)... and the few who are brilliant usually are done by noon your time.
This isn't the best grid to start as your first grid jim.

jm, the first several grids I had were about 100 words, and surprisingly easy... then I got slapped with a 300+ one. *smile* this one isn't particularly easy for its size, took a lot longer than they usually do.
Most of us do not finish withou the help of cluers and lists. By the way, Lickety's list will help you out a lot!
