Granny- Babble is based on a list of word from the Enable dictionary that dr god grabbed a few years ago. As far as I know he hasn't made any changes, and to do clues - I actually have discrepancies sometimes cause my list is newer. People have requested some words to be removed, but dr god is sitting hard and fast - other wise he'd be is a constant change.

sometimes words in the grid and in the dictionary are not allowed because program generating the grid uses a different word. I expect rather than say all that, the program defaults to the "not in the dictionary" rejection of the otherwise acceptable word.

i know french! which never really helps me much when people start using spanish clues. although, i have sort of learned spanish for river and aunt, as they come up a lot. by sort of, i mean i try tia and ria or rio interchangeably.
hmm...I'm exposed to a few different languages, but I just can't catch on to that sort of thing. Since I don't speak Korean, and my maternal grandparents don't speak English, there's a big gap there that would really be bridged if I were more bilingual
