Good morning Karys and grannymaxx - yes, I just ploughed in and enjoyed finding words!
hiya granny gl2u
I've not finished yet - 76 to go.
I've only just got here, so loads to do yet !
just started with 146 to go :(
im just over half way
It's one where you can get lots of sequences going - and plurals galore.
there are so many words that I don't know which to enter next !
which is good for me! but having probs with some 4 ltr ones....oh well!
I know, Karys, you see them and think you've entered them..... that's Lickety's next project, mind reading.
but he can do it..he's just that good!
hello everyone
LOL Haz, that would make in just too easy !
good eve lore gl2u
hello loredana (:
Good morning loredana.
hello loredana
hello all you lovely babblers
Good job we haven't got webcams else you wouldn't be saying that..... Not at this stage, anyway!
right on haz!
we have got one here, but it frightens me !!
hi every one, how is it tonight?
lol Haz
good eve elmer gl2u
hi elmer
I'm not surprised, Karys. I would nobble it.

Hello elmer - it's a nice grid.
hax is being modest again
hubby uses it sometimes to talk to his son in Aus.
there u go again haz...nobble? lol
granny haz had her pic up one day did you see it she got so many compliments she took it down
Nobble - a gentle form of sabotage.
yep i did...it was great but she prefers spangle
gotcha haz...learning so many "words" its mind boggling!
Spangle looks good all the time - it takes a bit more effort for me!
LOL
got to admit spangle one good looking dog
She is!
have to put an 's' on the end of everything, just in case !
wow nice fast grid today
just shows how long I have been doing this, I got the lonely 't' straight away !
hllo
hey there herin (:
spangle's gorgeous :)
hi herin
I just got in and hello
hello ata (:
cup ot tea time...back in a mo'
Good morning - I was just tackling the obesity problem in the grid.
cute huh?
How large ate spaniels meant to be (in weight) also are spaniels paws big? I saw a very old spainel and he was about 35kilo
It pulls no punches (fa4/7, fa5/16, fa7/40, fa6/27, fa6/27)
hobbit's about 22lb
fa7/40??
Another plural for the obese ones, add a vowel.
Thats about half of what the dog weighs
I mean 22kg *sigh*
ty haz
Thats ok AT and thanks has
how heavy is spangle, haz?
ty Haz
opps thanks Haz
I have precisely no idea, Atalante.
LOL
Dedicated owner, eh?
well go weigh her, herin wants to know :P
Im just curious as i had never seen a spaniel so well round. too cute though
She would give me 'the look'. 'Why should I stand on the scales? Don't you love me as I am?'
some spaniels are pretty heavy. Clumbers must weigh a *lot*
awwwwww
hobbit's back to the vet in an hour to see why she's limping
oh poor Hobit
I know ... poor babe
She's probably sprained something - Spangle specialises in being too enthusiastic for her own good. The circulating pre-walk would do me an injury as well if I tried it.
What did Hobit do?
yes, I think so. but she's been limping for about a month now, so I think its worth getting some x-rays done just to check her back leg / hip
owww poor puppy
we had a King Charles that used to jump as high as my shoulder for his pre walk
Yes, if it's been going on that long you need to investigate.
Thanks Haz for the FA clues
she had some painkillers last week and was fine on them. as soon as they stopped, she started limping again *sigh*
You're welcome - they're not particularly nice words, but hey, they give the points!
I hope she gets sorted out Atalante - and I'd better go get ready to go out. I'll be back later to finish. Bye for now.
byeee :)
hurry back..
bye Haz
cya Haz

I have no imagination! I thought of a martini glass--"toast on toast"
argh-too early for that kind of humor! lol
Or is that champagne?
you looking for the same one sherb?
ch6/24 to win underhandedly- switch middle vowels + 1st vowel
yep
does that help?
no imagination??? that from the creator of such amazing works of art!
thanks silver! I'd never have found that!
oh my
no problem... i found it by my bad typing
:)
but Con said the one before pure...
hints for the lonely T on the right?
wtg bad typing!!!!
it is sherb! read silver's clue s l o w l y....
.... and just follow the instructions.
i have to say, this game is helping my vocabulary... although i am not sure i will ever use some of these words in pleasant conversation.
Hi everyone. CLue for the last ch6 pls?
there are some mighty useless words every day
it's improved my word search abilities, no end. :)
I can honestly say this game has made no difference to my conversation... just taught me loads of words that occur nowhere other than in Babble...
hi conx
plural of the ch5,14
ts
we
hello there Carlee!!
Thx - thought i'd already put that one in
how u doin' conx?
babble language rules.... :)
down to thefinal 7
Long time no see ConX, hope you are well.
*primping pompoms *
is the da 6 and 7 a combi, and any clues anyone please?
it will probably take me longer to get those final7 than the first 200 lol
add a cross letter to the da5,16
in the middle conx
doing OK carlee and Fmitch, thanks for asking- sneaking in Babble when i shouldn't - like now....
the 6 and 6 combo is the same as the 5 and 6 combo with a crossed letter in middle
passing pompoms to conx so I can make lunch with my daughter...
takes care of pompoms, gives em a shake just to make sure they work...
wish me lucj some serious crap going down ...hangover from weekend guide camp
luck too
anyone have a hint for the sa 5/14??
Luck to you, carlee
all wisdom be yours carlee *shakes pompoms to encourage carlee*
had to call childrens aid... and I might be callingpolice...
sa5 = miserable + male pronoun...
heh. don't think I'd have tried that on my own....
sounds worrying carlee...
the first rule of babble is that enable rules. the second rule of babble is that all other rules are are subject to the whim and caprice of the individual user, and are subject to change without notice.
ty for the da6/7 carlee and sftami
Well stated Babble.
er, thanks for clearing that up BR...
the first ha4?
Good morning, (nearly afternoon here) to all. How is everyone: Kat, FMitch, BabbleRabble-rouser, sherb, ConX, kc, Fiber, SgtA... and anyone I missed! Gorgeous here, and the gardens are looking wonderful due to hard work and great sunshine!
it's one of those Scots-sounding words...
Happy day Scarlet!!!
rework the ha4 that means to dislike intensely
raining here scarlet, am ok, bit tired and babbling when i shouldn't be....
--but there's no 'e' in sight--
hi there Scarlet... thought you were mrp to begin with... :)
Hi, Scarlet!
look the other way...
Hello all - back for 57 between making supper etc
oh yes there isd! lookin gthe wrong way. Thanks sherb
Oooh, ConX... I wish I could send some petunias and vincas your way to bring a smile to your rain-laden weather... and sherb, and Fiber!!
hi ursh
Hi, ursh and hetty!!
Our weather is great right now, but weeds rule
Good day, Scarlet. may today bring peace and all things good to you.
that's be nice scarlet! *received wish with smile*
Hi Scarlet! Top of the morning to you.
plural that one too hetty
I haven't changed the lime-cat icon since last week... the one in honor of mrP... too busy wrangling with roots and weeds and hardpan shale-packed soil...
And top of the day to you, hetty! :-)
thanks, sgt. Always get the plurals. I can do the simple things!
are you redoing garden because of the flood you had?
(that was for scarlet)
I've spen ages trying to upload piuctures ino flikr. I need someone who is not cybernetically challenged to show me how.
the plurals sometimes mess me up if the word can me made two different ways
down to 3
I hardly ever SEE the plurals!
So I'm staying with the present icon for a while yet
*Hugs to ConX.* Thank you, BR-r. The peace always comes from within, but good thoughts are well received. Fiber... We just moved here in Dec. of 2005, and my husband underwent some serious therapy (radiation treatments) for the first half of 2006... so, no gardening. I've been depressed and worried lately, so: voila! Gardening... and bowing to the will of nature instead of a downward spiral in my spirit!
It's a beautiful icon, hetty, leave it alone
Good wishes to you, Scarlet, and your husband, and the earth you are shaping
Hello, all.
*Wiping a little tear away*... Thank you, Fiber.
o scarlet! my thoughts are with you! nature has such a powerful way of recovering itself and with a little LTC will give you all you need.
I'm all for garden therapy
garden therapy is underrated -- it works
Thank you all... fellow humans with a kindred spirit...
Hi bookwoman
I find being outside and working with my hands helps depression
is your husband doing better?
You can really get lost just digging up weeds
Lost in a good way
Carlee, how are you? Hanging in there?
Exactly, SgtA... There is the fragrance of earth, little scurrying critters, the beauty of working a postage-stamp piece of the planet and putting in a bit of beauty... kiss the rest to God, and water faithfully... What else does a person need beyond the basics?
Scarlet, you are a brave and beautiful person. My prayers go gardening with you
I am deeply moved, hetty. Thank you very much.
*hugs scarlet and sends small private rain cloud with on/off switch to help in garden*
conx, do you have a supply of those clouds with switches??
fireworks (that is if I were upgradedto get fireworks lol)
I must tell you abot my dear husband though, who yesterday cleaned up our deck--potted plants and bugeoning seedlings all over--and threw out some seedlings I was carefully nuturing (they weren't showing any signs of greminating yet)
Yah, SgtAmi!!!
get upgraded, sgtAmi! And whopee anyway
*shakes Carlee's pompoms wildly for SgtAmi* YAYYAYYAY
lots of er and re and plurals today........yikes
Oh, those husbands. I won't let mine mow. Anything that sticks up from the ground gets leveled
hiya scarlet -- hope all is going well on your end...
can someone please clue the first ha 5? It's killing me
I had nursed them through their wetting and resting time in the frig so carefully--they were from New Zealand and I so wanted to see them row here, where the climate is so similar. . .
Hetty, you are making me cry
Hi everyone
so yes, those husbands it is
That is funny, hetty... husbands have a way of being "helpful" sometimes and sometimes, disaster follows. EvaNadine... just chatted about my gardening "therapy" for the depression, and I am renewed! Thank you for your concern. *hugs*
so when is his funeral Hetty?
Hi, peri
Hi, peri!
hi, periwinkle
Oh, hetty... is there any chance of recovery?
thefirst ha5 is an archaic way of saying "had you?"
think ha4/5 with an added "d"
speaking of gardening, I just bought a red begonia and yellow mum for containers on my balcony. They do brighten things up :)
hello all, just getting in this morning, hetty tell alan he has a black thumb! and Scarlet et al, my garden has probably literally saved my life. Though it never looks as good as I wish in its entirety, it always has "moments of perfection" that make it satisfying.
HI stidmama
sounds happy and bright, peri!
i cant wait- my fiance and i are moving soon to a place where i can have a garden
I always think the garden will look better next year. I'm usually wrong.
Hi silverdust
if they do well, I will buy more flowering plants. I have only grown herbs so far
And stidmama
I'd like to grow herbs, not enough sun
No Scarlett--every "spare " pot of soil was ruthlessly thrown around to further fee bushes etc. Unless there's a Jack in the Beanstalk sedquence, we'll never see those starry wild flowers from new Zealand --unless we go there again!
Ouch!
well congratulations on that silverdust! nothing like space for a garden to make one dream and plan (and eventually do)
Time to schedule a trip to New Zealand, clearly
I have basil and peppermin at the moment
*peppermint*
LOL Fiber! hetty only just got home from there!
Peri, do any herbs grow in the shade?
I can never seem to grow basil. Everything else does fine, but basil comes up, leafs out and croaks.
Yees Fiber--hence the seeds!
not sure Fiber, I will check, brb
The famous toad basil
hi book
sorry, distracted
That is sad beyond words, hetty... perhaps a greater plan at work here... peri, do you know, I cannot find peppermint here... even seeds. I grow a great deal from seeds, and have planted areas with the mammoth sunflowers and the Aztec mid-range ones, surrounded by variegated marigolds and vinca vines.... Hi, stid. My basil is thriving in this heat!
i have 17 to go!
my basil never grows cos i eat it too quicly....
Stid knows my history so well. And my husband too. I sometimes wonder whether we should swap (husbands, that is)
No problem. Pleased to see you back.
go silver, GO!!! *pompom shake*
It sounds like a good time for a swap
mint will grow in the shade, fiber -- any kind of mint. peppermint, chocolate mint, lemon balm (a type of mint)...
Go Silverdust!
Scarlt, a greater plan is forever at work
what's this ha7 word - the one before the hurry word...
Thanks, Stid--
LOL hetty -- maybe we should send our husbands to live together and you and I can grow our garden in peace!
i have a rather black thumb myself, but i always wished i were better with plants -- i ADORE looking at others gardens and landscaping...
Clue for 6,24?
Can you think of anything more beautiful than fresh mozzarella, fresh basil leaves, a lovely balsamic, virgin olive oil and Dijon vinaigrette with sliced Roma tomatoes...? Oh, My!!
OOOOO MY FAVORITE, Scarlet!!!!! :D
It's an extraordinary word--beginsd like "hurry" andends like veget***
hey EvaN! *wiping drool off keyboard after Scarlet's food talk* you just haven't found the right plants yet.
or fornic***
Fiber most herbs require full sun but some will tolerate partial shade like lemon balm
You can see where my mind is. All this talk of growing new life---
Fiber there are many websites about herbs, it wouldn't hurt to check them out
wow. that worked hetty, another word down!
ha+ one of the 50 american *****s
clue for ch6/24? You can't see where I'm looking, can you?
back...hey red
sounds scrumptious Scarlet
I guess I just assumed herbs need sun. I'll look into it.
Did you get the ha word, bookwoman?
yes.
It is from Mount Olympus, peri! :-)
book,which 6/24
thank you so much Silver!
ch6 - c + hurry
yw
speaking of herbs and mint, have you tried the Mohito's?
Hey carlee! did all go well??? *hands back much used pompoms*
ch6/26 looks as if you can't spell ch5/14, plus a first vowel
yea..its not as bd as I feared..thank god
what is Mohito's?
1st ch 6/24?
Hub is making hungry noises - better feed him or he will start cooking then takes me ages to clean kitchen - bbl to find last 30
Just don't let him near the garden, ursh
thank goodness for that! Sometimes our worry about the kids is more worrying than the worry itself...
childrens aid definitely involved...no police needed
bye ursh - go save that kitchen!
Hi, kat. What is wrong?
Are you ch**** or have you been?
CH6 = take word for playing a game unfairly -- swap the middle vowels around + add another vowel on the end
I can tell I missed something important this morning....
what happened carlee
my daughter did guide ( same as girl scouts ) camp this weekend
and she was put into a tent with a set of siblings
A Mohito is the "new" drink made with rum, club soda, a syrup and mint leaves - it's awesome. Could use one right now.
ty.
Yum--11 am, too early
Well, 50 yet to go and eucharist to attend. I'm off everyone--as stid says, "poof"
sounds good Mary
i thought mojitos had been around for quite a while...?
( I started the story yesterday stid..its still being revealed to me )
heh yeah mojitos are nothing new
see you later dear hetty!
hint for the fa 6/30???
the younger of the 2 siblings... i THINK is exhibiting early signs of manic depression... anyway..
bye hetty
FA6 = not mother
Was there an episode, kat?
Could be, but I just discovered them last year in Santa Fe, NM. Now they're serving them here in Chicago.
the younger ( this the first part ) during the night in a fit of tears and carrying on..asked my daughter to hang her
whoa -- how old is this girl??
oh man....
good evening all
now..my daughter took this as the kid was not serious... but when we put it all together with previous patterns...the pattern got....worse...
( the younger is 8 my daughter is 10 the older sibling is 11 )
oh jeez carlee, is your daughter ok?
hey sprite.... you're on late!
very scary carlee
Hey sprite!!!! NICE icon!
how awful, carlee
hi sprite
she is definitely adhd, ( yea she is... thank god )...the story goes on...
heeee ConX :) Thanks
that poor child, what is going on with her?
those poor kids.
thanks eva. Can't believe I missed that
so... the younger...has issues with authority
last ch5/14 please
Wow, carlee, how sad. Way too young for those kind of problems
wow carlee that's a lot to deal with
and she is her own worst enemy in that she is cuaght up in the whole self prophetized doom... "everyone hates me"
peri -- im not done yet, but the lost one i have is to play a game unfairly
so....
8 years old. What a pity
then was speaking to one of the other leaders ( and I am beating myself up as I am a leader..i just HATE camp..had I been there...she would have come to me )
thanks EvaN, have that one
peri... lets see... ch + 2nd vowel then immediately above and left
don't beat yourself up carlee, you can only do so much
This is a horrible situation, kat...
no blame on you carlee!!!!
it's kinda hard to clue
anyway..was speaking to another leader this am... and ( for those who do not wish to be offended.my language is goign to graphic..am quoting the 8 year old )
we can handle it
CH5 = CH + vowel + hook + cross
*deep breath* okay...
And...
nd it
*holds hands over ears*
this other daughter told her mom that the younger was dancing around the tent naked.. and told my daughter that she was going to shove my daughter head up her vagina
turns out..was NOt to my daughter...was to the older sister
last ch6/24 ?
this is at a camp where they are supposed to have fun?
There is some serious "stuff" going on in that family
oh NO!!!!
oh carlee.... very ungood
oh dear
I'm so sorry, carlee
hence... I do not need to call the police..as she did not touch my daughter..did not threaten my daughter directly and did not assult her in anyway
yes, there is definitely something wrong with that child.
sounds like you did the right thing this morning
Children are taught sexuality at that age... this is not stemming from the child... she sounds broken...
But she definitely needs help
thanks..it sok....when I went to lunch I was expecting that this kid did do this to my daughter...and that I would be calling the police
book- plural of to play a game unfairly
so am feeling a great deal of initial relief
help with the first ch 6/24??
ty.
yes, the child needs serious help, now. That is just too bizarre.
now..we need to deal with the other rot
I am so sorry that your daughter had to deal with that this weekend.
Oh, kat...your poor daughter. *Strong hugs and hand-butterfly kisses*
Still a shock for your daughter to be confronted with this kind of stuff! Lots of LTC for her - and you Carlee!
thanks all
KC -- take the word for playing a game unfairly, swap the center vowels around + add a vowel to the end
yea....I will pull her from school one afternoon this week and we will amke jam for her dad or something
*hugs* for you and all my best to your daughter... not an easy thing at all
to play a game unfairly- switch middle vowels, + 1st vowel
Your poor girl, though, to be exposed. I am glad she was able to go to you with what happened. It shows she trusts you and knows you love her.
thanks eva... never would have found that.. and *fireworks*!
I have to run now. Thanks, everyone.
YAY kc!
bye bookwomanj
Yay KC!
yea...shes a great kid...
have 100 left. Have to go dig weeds now before it gets too hot. Will BBL to finish. Best of luck to you and your daughter carlee. See you all later
<POMPOM TOSS> for KC
YAY kc. bye bookwoman
yeah, that's a rough one carlee, hugs to your daughter especially
thanks doxy
yay kc!
And Carlee, you and your daughter are in my thoughts and prayers.
What other "rot", kat?
later doxy
*watches how carlee does pompom toss for next time I get to look after them*
she's tough..we had a good talk at lunch and she is ok..
later book
the other rot?..all the paperwork we have to fill out for CAS
bye doxy
bye doxy
( childrens aid society )
Oh... insult to psychic injury, kat.
oh.. the PAPERWORK can sometimes drag the whole thing out so much...... necessary stuff but SO not nice
indeed scarlet - nicely put.
bbl
well..thankfully the paper work only involves us as leaders now...
Thank you, ConX.\
not my daughter.
must dash to take daughter to station. BBL!
later peri.
Until later, Con!
bye peri and ConX
ah. that's good to hear carlee! *hugs*
Later ConX!
*poof*
Later, peri.
okay, need to go see if Tom's bread is ready for the oven. brb
bye stid

Later, stiddy.

I am not a water guy... total earth mammal... my daughters are otters, though!
*poof*
Until later, kat. *hugs*
Gosh, there IS a grid here, isn't there...? LOL
a pretty nice one even
i have 12 left... so close....
okay, back again for a few while the oven heats up. bye carlee...
go silver gooo
hi stid
Hi, sprite! How are you feeling?
I got past halfway at the flip, then grabbed the list as soon as I got in this morning. down below 40... a good grid for today.
not too good actually... friend of mine all but dragged me to the doctor this morning because she saw how bad it went, and now I need to take antidepression medication, or whatever it is called... therapist was very happy with it. Guess I better give it a shot then ;)
hi again all
hi Ata
Hi, Atalante!! :-) How was your U.S.A. vacation?
Hi guys.
hey atalante!
hi Takumo
Anything is worth a try, sprite... especially when we are dragged into stasis... I feel for you. *Hugs*
great in some ways, not so great in others, but that's life. there are loads of pic on my flickr account a page or two back
oh sprite, so glad your friend did that! yes, DO give the medication a try, remember it can take about 4 weeks for some of them to really start working, so stick with it at least a month.
yeah, I was kind of glad my friend took control for a moment. I was so totally stuck I couldn't even think about any solutions anymore
I found that a quick diary each day helped me see the progress I was making...
hey takuma!
antideps can be the best things ever. what did they give you?
they've worked very well for me!
I was warned that at first the side effects would be much more noticeable than the good effects, and that it will take several weeks to get to a high enough level
Sometimes we have to allow ourselves to really listen to the wisdom of others... I sincerely hope the meds do a good job for you, sprite.
something new... let me see, not xeroxat or prozac anyway... si-something-paran
I'll check the name, hold on
yes, be patient with yourself for a few weeks (though I know that can be hard). Sprite, i have been there, too. Some days, I am still there... but it does get better.
Hi, Takuma!
it is citolapran
thanks for the support, guys, I d*mn sure need it atm :)
around here, it's called by the brand name "celexa"
oh celexa
Sprite, not all meds work for all people... your therapist may "shop" different medications for you until you hit the right one for your metabolism... don't be afraid to try things after you've given one a good trial run...
I have tried and had good results with others from that class. I hope it works well for you, too (for me the side effects were few besides drowsiness which wore off quickly)
Howdy! And now that I've made my greetings, it's time for me to get going for a bit. good luck, all!
doc said it worked better for most patients than xeroxat and prozac, was milder and had less side effects
later takuma, hope your day will be good!
bye Takuma
I've heard good things about it too
Have a wonderful day, Takuma! :-)
and I guess I could do with a bit drowsiness, if that helps me take things easier and slower for a bit... doc and therapist said today I am literally exhausted.
brb bread's ready for the oven!
seroxat isn't worth taking, I don't think, unless somehow you know you'll be the lucky one which it works wonderfully for
need one of the first ch 6/24 please, have the pure one
Somehow I have trouble feeling that myself... I always feel like if I really want to, I can do whatever has to be done. Not counting the costs, probably, to my health and energy... ah well, what do I know.
magzel - ch6.23 - sounds like a wild cat - change one of the vowels
any mail yet, Ata?
Hi, KnightTime!!
hi knight and magzel.
hello all
Hi, magzel!
sprite - could you manage to get rid of cancer if you really wanted to? pneumonia? kidney failure? then why depression?
nooooooo
hi scarlet
Well said, Ata.
hi stid and thanks knight, odd word
argh, stupid snailmail.... Yeah, I know you are right, it is just that... guess I am too used to just push myself and proof I am worth something
sprite, that is how I am... but I have learned to not push myself too far trying to get things done (hence my lackadaisical attitude toward housekeeping) -- I have some physical problems too, and when I overdo it physically or emotionally it makes my whole system shut down.
I can really relate to that, stid! That shutting down perfectly describes it.
same with me ... I've had to go through all of this. trying to accept one has bipolar and will be on mood stabilisers, antideps adn goodness knows what for ever more is hard work. but its just chemicals. like any other illness
and yes, no amount of hoping or denying helped... but a good diet, getting outside in my garden, and finding babble have really helped; and the medications got me to where I could do the other things that supported my health -- remember this is a chemical thing like hypothyroidism.
that's what my doc says... way too little serotonin makes that every decision I have to make takes tonnes of energy. Even picking what to eat for dinner or what to wear or even whether or not to get up in the morning.
thanks for sharing that, guys... that helps too.
exactly
{{{{{sprite}}}}} you are going to be okay. and we are here if you need us!
The inertia can be staggering, Sprite.... give the meds some time, and maybe you'll recognize the old "lady" who lives within... Here's hoping and praying that that is the case! *hugs*
:D Thanks! Your support means so much to me and really helps me stay grounded, if you know what I mean.
I have hit the magic "25" to go point!
Yes!
yes, just try and wait out the next few weeks. you'll feel like its not working for a while, I'm sure. Just stick in there
ah, that would be SO great!
:-)
yay stid, wtg
yes, sprite. grounded. with rich, loamy soil, ready to plant, ready for the dormant beauty within to shine forth. :-)
might even do something in my garden in a while then :)
Gardening has worked magic on my eroded soul these past few weeks...
oh here's a good example of how these things can work. I started taking lithium about 4 years ago. About 3 weeks later, I had such a strong urge to draw (for the first time since high school). and the rest is history. Meds can allow you to return.
personally, I highly recommend gardening for all sorts of things. Unless your sinuses are stuffy like mine are today... then bending and stooping is just agony. :-(
Atalante! that is a WAY COOL, wonderful thing!
ow WOW Ata, that is a wonderful example
bending and stooping is out of the question, but I could take a stool...
thought you'd like that :)
on the other hand, the medications did nothing about the "mommy body" I had acquired... LOL
but they do give you more energy to go for a walk, go for a swim ...
Sprite - I'm coming in on the tail end of the conversation but for my contribution, please take the meddication if it is offered. It may not have to be forever, it may be that a short course is all that is needed to make you see the world in colour again. I, too, speak from personal experience.
question - is there anyone here who *hasn't* been on antidepressants / similar things at one time?
yes, they do. And a stool for gardening is a great idea. Also planters... I have a number of things in pots and when my back is really bad Tom put them up on chairs so I can work.
ah, I can live with my mommy body, my husband thinks I am the sexiest thing that walked (or stamped) the earth and I like everything except my too big belly. Only if I had some energy... I love to hear you say the meds might give me some back.
Hello, Haz... it seems that many of us have had to admit our powerlessness and accept some hard realities...
Hello Scarlet - yes, I fought against it for some time, but a short course of medication made me see reality again.
you guys are the best, plain and simple. Thanks for being there, sharing and reaching out. I mean that. Hubby calls for dinner, have to be off now, back later.
fa 7/40 please
your energy will definitely return, sprite :-) you will find that you enjoy many things again that you had put aside, and it will be nice
*hugs hugs*
later sprite!
fa 7/40: plural the obese one
Later sprite. Taste your dinner tonight!!
fa7/40 - another way of calling the obese ones (add a vowel to the other plural)
thanks al, got it
hads
sorry
ha. got the dratted ts word by myself!
TEN left!
and now I need help... DA 5/16 please?
da5/16 - a Russian country house, I think. d plus a pain, last vowel changed.
thanks HAz!
and the second DA 6 then?
You're welcome - it's a variation on a theme, add another consonant to the house
isnert the cross letter stid
aha! tricky words! :-)
down to 6!
the FA 6/27 after the plural obese word?
Hello Babblers
hey nanette! :-)
Getting more obese by the minute, stid.
Hello, Nono!
good day all need a clue for the 1st ch 6/24 have the pure one
got a decent start on the grid this morning .... now to finsih it
I have that one, need the one next to it...
Both fa6/27 are about the obese, the other one is an insult to plural of them.
Stid do you have two pl obese ones?
first ch 6 is same first three letters, then put a vowel in and abbreviate british Thanks Alot!
Guten Tag, babblers. Have been following the chat and am fascinated. NO anti-depressasnts here but too many blood pressure meds I always that I will forget an important one, since I am not here in the evenings so often.
*facepalm* duh! thanks nanette and Haz!
tag inge!
hi Inge
ch6/24 - ch, a vowel, then rearrange an English breakfast beverage.
ty stid
first ST 6/21?
Hi stid, and nanette, and Haz and majmom, and anyone else I missed
Hello inge.
Hi, inge.
st + do something + vowel
st6/21 - s plus diplomacy wrapped up with a vowel

thanks knight *looking*
oh boy good clues *thinking*

I better get dressed before Pen comes home from the U of M Bot Gardens, BRB
Later, inge!

LOL, Haz!
I feel it spreading....
oh those d**n helicopters! there is a fishing boat moored nearby that isn't supposed to be moved, but the owner keeps trying and the coast guard copters buzz around like angry wasps several times a day. That guy is gonna be in so much trouble...
thanks Haz.... *working*
cute fireworks on lickety today.
Congratulations!
Well done, stid.
clue for da 6/27 anyone?
Yay, stidmama!
d + back a****, Majmom!
re 8/50 please
re8/50 - fasten something to something again
hi button -- to put something back together? like with glue?
hi stid, thanks..you to Haz...haz, how are you today?
I think that da clue was no good... brain is mush because I can smell the bread baking
Hello Buttonman - I'm fine. I've been to the garden centre to pick up summer in the form of bedding plants and flowers for my hanging baskets.
the da 6/27 is like the first da 5, with extra cons in third place
I need more on re 8/50
book: use the a 6/24
re plus at 6/24
hanging baskets? :-) what will you put in them, Haz?

Hi Scarlet!
Good afternoon, NBoy - you arrive just as I leave to facilitate family nutrition (pc talk for making food) Enjoy the grid, it's a lot of fun.
Until another time, Haz... and best of planting fun...
Thanks, Haz, my culinary queen :)
Let me know if I get obnoxious!!
Hi, Haz and bye!
Oh NBoy, you say the nicest things! Bye for now!
I think you're safe, bookwomanj. I was not referring to you as a troll. :)
I worry about asking for too many clues. I'm still pretty new--5th grid
S'okay to ask for clues. We all do it. Mush brain strikes even the best babblers.
Newbies have to ask questions, bwJ... it's the only way we can get our brains accustomed to Babble-Mania...LOL
I try to give as many as I get--not always good clues.
LOL, Judi... good description for hitting the wall...
need the first ha 4/5 and the 5/12 after it please
BBL. Must go make an effort to appear productive at work. *preparing to shuffle papers*
Bookwoman, I was a little daunted when I first joined (ah hah...not that long ago :/) but luckily, the babblers are all very friendly :) I was actually very pleasantly surprised at the warmth of the community...

sweet, if you really need help, you have to be more precise about what.
That reminds me of a comment by Sarah Gibson Blanding (pres. of Vassar College): Some local girls dressed up at Vassar girls and stole stuff from some dorm rooms" We always laughed at the fact, that the locals had to dress like us , ie dress down into bermudas and men's shirts
Hello. Sorry to get carried away, but when I logged on and there was Cleveland Hts being mentioned, I just couldn't contain myself.

stidmama, I didn't ask for anything. I was trying to clue Takuma who, it turns out, wasn't asking for a clue, either! lolol

I really have to go now -- extra library shift, then helping a sight-impaired friend with email etc.
oh well, maybe it'll help someone else
hello helen
Going to take a break. BBL.

I am already trying to figure out supper tonight... it's going to be hot later. Might just want to have Tom grab something on the way home...
true, 'tis a wordy grid, foresooth!
stiddy, why are you in Brazil??!!
ch 6/24: reverse the vowels in to win by subterfuge, and add a vowel at the end, Gwen
that is an odd one, Gwen. To deceive at a game, switch vowels, add a vowel to the end. Sounds a bit like a hunting cat.
off for a bit. good luck, all!
ch6/24 - what we do in this boc, with a vowel added before and another after that -t-
oh, I got tired of the U.S.... LOL can't travel far in real life, have to take mental vacations instead!
later takuma!
Bye, Takuma.
aaaah, TY. i tried a lot of versions that sounded like decieve at a game, but of course not the *right* one!
bye Takuma
Actually, was trying to decide where to land next... Ireland sounds nice.

bye ursh, takecare
bye Ursh
Bye ursh, love yr icon , looks like a glorious place.
sprite, why do I think you live in a windmill?
heh, it'd take a *long* time for Dutch rain to get here, sprite - it'd have to go the long way 'round
Do you mind if I ask for some short words I can't seem to find?
don't all Dutch people live in windmills?
lollll stid... close to some, but not in... so probably because my mind is as twirly as one?
go for it, bookwoman, maybe I can even clue them straight!
not at all, bookwomanj, I am here to clue
I thought the only industries in the Netherlands were windmill operating, dike repair, tulip growing, and wooden shoe production
Good evening one and all
yea, and we all walk around with brollys and bowler hats :)
we live in wooden shoes, Takuma, you should know that!
howdy ren
from the top of the alphabet: at 4/4
evening ren
*grin* maybe that's it, sprite. I have seen pictures and TV shows about people living in windmills. It looks like a fun and wonderful place to grow up.
just has a quick look at the log - Stidmama !! you travel faster than the Starship enterprise :)
plural of had for dinner, bookwomanj
hi ren
heh, I don't even want to know what the stereotypical American behavior is ;)
Well, FMitch invited me to visit, thought I would take her up on it!
ty, sprite.
dreading starting this one so late, but will see how far I get
Well, as a liberal arts graduate, you know I live in tie-dye and sandals...
it is a nice one, ren8. One of the best actually
Visit with me and we could meet Ata and then go on to see Haz, isn't the virtual life great!!
well ren8, you know that with one this size you will at least get a good number before you slow down!
love your icon, bookwoman
Well enjoy yourself :)
you WILL drop by at my place, won't you, FMitch?
Heh, stid, I'm in trouble, then - I'm a liberal arts graduate student....
i am back

that would be really fun... *dreaming of pretty English and Irish gardens, tea with my friends...*
ty bookgrrl.
hiya sweet
oh man, takuma, you're sunk! dreadlocks, I suppose?
yay Ata!
hi can i get some help on the puzzle please
Oh yes that would be brill
I'm going to hate myself, but ea 4/5?
'zactly! we could just go around the globe, picking up people on our way! :-)
found it.
lol
looks like our planet book, without an r
sweet, you need to ask for something specific
drop a consonant from our planet
our puzzle on babble
heh, sweet -- I think she meant help with a particular word
Ata, don't you dare go back into hiding!!
sweet, we just clued the ea 4/5 work on that one
you should try to get some words, and if you get stuck on a particular tough one, ask for a hint
er 4/4, except to make mistakes?
yes i did thank you takuma sato
er 4/4: to make money, alternate spelling, plural
i need a hint
also er**-while gardener describes me...
i am nine so go easy please
wow, 9! that's impressive
ty stid.
I am thinking yellow alert here, this one has been trying this gambit several times today...
er4/4 at a previous time
How many words have you got now sweet and yes we know you are 9 although you shouldn't really be giving away your age.
ty sprite
Have you heard about the new corduroy pillows?
really BR?
I have a hard enough time, with so many of the words being unknown to me. I can't imagine how tough it would be for someone your age.
hey BabbleRabble!
They're making headlines!
LOLLL
LOL
*groan* oh man, I walked right into that one!
I'm still here ..... :)
Groan BabbleRabble.

Good, we have to suffer together until the troll spary kicks in :))
Hi all clue please for re7/28 please?
*spray
et6/24 one who et4/6
boo, BR! ;)
no sweet, we obviously cannot.
goedemiddag, sprite
bookwomanj: he who scratches artsy lines?

Hiya ren8!

I know I tried that. Silly Jane!
thanks stid!
hi flask
Er goldies oops sorry sweet you will just have to try and find some more 4 letter words by yourself or try again tomorrow
Missing the last W. Have we X 3 and wo4x2. What am I missing?
hi flask1
:-) don't forget its plural, too!
Judi, a sorry excuse for a human being might be called this...
I will stid
I have stopped the experiment and hope to gather the remnants of my brains in due course
a WR6, Judi
stidmama use the google map satellite to see your chosen place!
it's w + r5
wr6/36
hi Shoe and sweet92
hello
ty ty.
good for you, BabbleRabble!
good idea, bill! brb!
wr6.26 = miserable person
If i try to put in Ha*** - what eggs do I will SCREAM !!
tried that at least 4 times, elder. No kidding.
ooh! I see Canterbury, and Southend on Sea... wow. that delta is HUGE!
ha4/8?
I've tried it twice, elder
sprite, what does Haarlemmermeer mean? "that which is near to Harlem?
Sprite thanks for you words of support - good to hear I am not the only one
surprisingly, the second time I fared no better!
ha 4/8: the long pole attached to a spear or shovel
Edinburgh is shown with high definition amazing
Yeh right STidmama !!
ty
and oddly, I tried 'catheter,' even after assuring myself it wasn't there
no stid, a 'meer' is a lake, and Haarlemmermeer is a province that used to be water, near Haarlem, and now is land.
Takuma yes as with you, i can confirm it does not work !!
oh! that makes good sense. thanks sprite.
I tried that one too
worse is definitely a phantom.
I have lived there most of my youth, stid :) In Hoofddorp, to be precise.
and ether. I tried ether several times.
with all these 'S's, 'R's, and 'T's, this is a phantom playground
Spooky!
I kept trying "attack" but I am NOT feeling aggressive today...
In view of the courageous , I bring out the old stand bys: Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle. ~ Plato Better to leit one small candle than to curse the darkness. ~ Chineses Proverb
changing the last letter might help, stid ;)
I like those, BabbleRabble.
do you know where in Plato that is, BR?
and rehab is rehads Yikes !!
ooh! I found hoofdorp!
No ... maybe will do soome looking
Better not step in it Stid. Sounds messy.
YAY stid! That is where I grew up
I was just curious -- I've done some work on Plato. I'll take a look
methinks it may have grown up a bit since then sprite? I looks like any U.S. suburb!
but there are lots of lovely green fields nearby... :-)
it goes the same way all dutch places go, stid... growing until they connect to another place, making one huge town. It used to be more green :)
and Edinburgh is just plain HUGE! wow.
that's just what's happening to D.C. and Baltimore, sprite
Same story all over unfortunately sprite
yes, so it is in the United States also sprite. It makes me sad. All the lovely, fertile fields buried beneath things meant to last no more than a couple decades
which is a bit sad -- used to be lots of forests I liked there
Copied the Plato into my quote collection, BR.
it is really sad
ha 4, 8 please?
ha 4/8: h + a 4 gives you the ha 5, then remove the last letter for the 4
we are losing all our lovely big victorian and edwardian houses round here. They are putting up these great big flats-apartments, lost forever
that is why we have the garden, sprite. In my own subversive way, I am trying to make things more green and diverse...
I like that thought, stid!
sneaky, stid ;)
:-)
too sneaky!
I am watching a garden show... they showcase gardens from all over the world. This one is in the bahamas... *sigh* it'll take a lot more global warming for those plants to grow here!
a guy just walked by with a shirt that said "I hear voices... they sound just like you," and he looked genuinely deranged
what fish do you want next, bookwoman?
oh takuma -- one of those philosophy types, no doubt...
Oh, let's see . . .
are you sure you weren't lookin in a mirror? *giggle*
he 4/5?
some warming hypotheses have it getting colder in UK and northern Europe, since the flow of warm water from the south will be disrupted

Yes, I think there will be a darkish blue and a lighter, almost periwinkle color this time, different design

re 5/18: homophones, re + needle and thread work
I so want earth colours!
and re + plant; -- don't forget the plurals
I also asked him to get some white ones printed sprite, so we can die them ourselves! (not sure he'll do it though)
thanks for the 8's :)

i understand bookwoman... utb alert?
ur ok bookwoman, i hadn't read the other comment, thought what u said was for me!
I don't know what utb is.
the reason the puzzle is fun is because you are challenging yourself. if it is SO much of a challenge that you cannot do it and want people to help you with every word, then you would not find it very satisfying. you would just be bored and passing the time, whilst annoying other people. regardless of age.
troll in the house
i don't know either bookwoman, but i think i can guess...lol
Sweet does not understand when we try to help.
well said hurshy!
thanks Esprit.
I've just been reading back the chat log archive. Some of the youngsters today remind me of baby birds in the nest, mouths constantly open!

At least one made it. Was wondering if they knew why she did it?
hi all can anyone clue me the last ch 5 please

ak ch + if you're motionless you're in***
ch5/14 - looks like a variation of spelling of what a man wears with a tie.
bunny, it's being called a triple murder-suicide, since the doors were locked from the inside
ch 5/14 is type of rock
Hi everyone... came back to finish up... just have 4
it's mental illness.... you can't kill y our kids unless you are truly truly sick (in my opinion)
hi hug
da5,16 please
hi hug
Hi, Hugs
hmmm variation of a tie and a rock .....
TY Haz. Not a smart girl today.
im going to have to agree with Dorens here
I agree Dorens. You just always see this stuff on the news, it's kinda the first time it's ever hit home.
ch+2nd vowel+letter after q+letter after s
It's structured the same way as a garment you wear with a tie, but not spelled the same..
ha ha! got it ty
but should we make that a priori assumption? perhaps, perhaps not...
You're welcome.
yvw
it kind of disturbs me that we are so ghoulish that this sort of thing always gets the most attention on the "news"
can somone please clue da5,16 for me?
goldies do you have the da 6?
da + *** *** is a dance goldies
same word minus the t
da5/16 is a russian word for a holiday home

understandable, haz. (as an elementary counselor, sometimes I'm very patient.... and sometimes I've just had enough!)
You need an fa6, Hugs
what the heck i wrote the russian?
thanks book
that's cause your browser won't print the cyrilic alphabet goldies
da5/16 - da plus the first name of Mr Chaplin.
There are two plurals for fa 5/16 (2nd)
oh that stinks

didn't know there was a 5 second rule
dreaming word combo's haz
no, it's really the Peri rule
applies too cookies that fall on the floor too
A 10 second rule operates for peri.
3 ha6 nad one he6
especialy if it i s the last cookie
*and
That sounds pretty normal, Caroline.
yep
he6 --add common suffix to he4/5
Hmmm.. thanks Une... so I need an h5 and a c6
There was a scientific study upholding 5 sec. rule!
i thought th** was need, not and, une
i read it in the times last wek bookwoman... but it only means fewer bacteria, not none!
haz whats the da6,27 second one please
what??
LOL
I've told you already, goldies, da, put a consonant, finish as with the da5
5:52 pm Uneaixoise 3 ha6 nad one he6
there is a relationship between bacteria content and how tasty the item is
What, you expect perfection? :^)
the da6 is similar to the first one, add a cross letter in the middle
ty
plural for 7
Would someone clue te 6/18?
i just started the ew's ... i amin the puzzle how exciting
i'm far from perfect... can't expect it from anyone else. and a few bacteria (as long as they're the right kind) actually keep us healthier.... building iimmunities, etc.
te6/18 - to rhyme with the Irish dog
does an irish dog speak with an accent?
irish dog??
Begorrah, I don't know.
ty Haz. Will look that up!

Then I'd burn them or make them rubbery.

beaten*
5 he's
one more not related hurshy
ah
got it
warmth, warmer, warmers, warms, southern expression for warms
I've been giving this a shot about 3-4 times a week, and I just cant seem to break about 50%
two more H's - i presume HA and not anything bizarro?
ha and he
be patient. and persistent.
treefrog, do you have a strategy?
i feel good when i get 50%
and why the tree? aren't you proud to be one of the frogs in the glen?
no, I just typically jump from letter to letter until I get frustrated
I like treefrogs, the look wise to me
you need a strategy - it keeps you on track when the words don't jump out.
*bagpipes in the background*
wrath, i feel bad if I don't get 100% everytime
I don't have the mindset to pound away at a letter till I get every word associated with it
find that too ... stressful
that is one approach, but there are other ways to solve
babble is... babble is... not stressful but... love is a battlefield... hurts so good... that sorta thing.
use the lickety clues, and the math, i.e. let the point score be your guide especially for the 4 and 5 letter words
I only have a few hours to throw away so i never finish un less it is a reall small one
go hurshy the poetry is flowing
lol - but not original.
how do you mean "point score" be my guide?
sa 5/14 please
hey knight... can you explain to me how the points work? because it's obviously not just straight addition for things longer than 5 letters... otherwise the ch6/24 would be a ch6/8
sa5.14 = blue + male pronoun
4's straight off tiles, 5's double, 6's triple, etc etc
why ty kindly knight
add the letter values then multiply. 4x1, 5x2, 6x3, 7x4...
ah, that makes sense. thank you.
so for example tree and jes, the ac4.5 tells you that the last 2 letters must be 1 point letters
yeah, i just couldn't figure out why the longer words added up so fast :) i didn't know about the multiplying bit.
the ca4.6 must have 2 2 point letters, the ca4.9 must include a 4 or 5 point letter, etc
ahh
then look at the letters available and do the math
this eases the frustration and moves it from pounding the keys to thinking about the letters, much more fulfilling
looks like babble is reeling in another addict
that's what i meant by a strategy treefrog
I used to play text twist on yahoo all the time, but this is much more ... in depth :)
okay down to ten all 4's and 5's clue for ta4/5? before the job one?
ta + abbrev for 60 minutes
thanks
go addict go
argh what is the other ch6/24 with pure
ah, but treefrog, the friendly folks here are what makes this so much better than text twist... even if you don't stress about finishing the grid, hang out and ch4/4 with people :)
rhymes with a big cat hurshy - change one of the vowels
hurshy, do you have the ch6/24 that means "creative interpretation of the rules"?
I'm usually lurking about
I just cant devote too much of my work day to finishing :)
that's ok. nobody here thinks less of ya if you don't finish :)
I'll get better in time, I'm sure everyone does
st 6/21 please
st+perform+vowel
Treefrog, we have a treefrog living in our greenhouse. He likes to hang out in the tubes of the bromeliad plants

i've got 88 to go and i just got here only a little bit ago... it's a really easy grid
JUL - did you use Lickety's list?
What's Lickety's list?
pretty good ADHD -- no big drama in my life lately, though I had a really odd occurence this weekend
oh boy...it just got over here, but thank goodness it's recorded whew
scroll down a bit and you will see the friends of babble
Open Lickety's in a separate window (it's easier)
fa 7 hints?
tx for answering autumn. click on Angelsong's babble page. you'll learn all about this game
Kirsten's stepdad is not doing well healthwise, so it was agreed by the family that I could borrow his Ford Explorer on an extended loan once Kirsten's mom got all the paperwork taken care of (just getting me added to their insurance)
you're not using babble expert autumn?
not using what?
140 without using the list?? I'm impressed!
are you using a PC or a mac
Well, on Sat we drove over to drop the kids off with Gramma while we went to the movies (we saw Shrek the 3rd)
sorry to hear that woulf
pc
lucky you woulf... i love shrek
fa7 is plural of fa5/16, what an obese kid might get called
When we got there, she told us that the paperwork was all resolved and that we could arrange to take the truck whenever we could arrange it
the fates decided we need to take the truck then and there -- MY car
oops
then email lickety moon... he'll send you the link f or the new babble browser... the list runs in the same window (if you want it to) and there are all sorts of fun additions. it's great
MY car's starter died in the driveway, we had to take the truck so we could go to the movies!!!
thx
good clue jane... that was me in high school...lol
Do I have to do anything to the computer? It isn't mine and I have STRICT instructions not to add or download anything
i'm going to be buying a new truck... with a crew cab to hold the kids lol
Thanks for the hint. I'll try it!
you have to download the babble expert and save it to the desktop. then just click on it to open it and play. close it when you're done. simple.
buying at truck? Look at the GMC Canyon or Checv Colorado with the 5 cyl engine. Mine is great. Fuel consumption is almost as efficient as my 4cyl Hyundai was
whoa... i'd better get moving... i'm getting sleeeeepy, verrrrry verrrry sleeeeepy.
I wish I could afford to buy a new anything -- I was looking forward to having the two vehicles, but I guess I am destined to have only one at a time -- the last time I had two cars, one of them cost me over a grand in repairs and then still died within two months of my getting it
i'm very interested in the Colorado w/the z71 package
do you have the chevy?
i have the 2005 canyon. They're basically the same
the silverado is too big. we've go a 1995 silverado and it's not THAT big
the 2007 will come down in price in august... i want it then. i checked them out about a month ago. i really like the colorado.
I have the extend cab - flip open side doors - instead of the crew cab. The only breathing thing that goes into the back is the furry child
Is your Siverado a 6 cyl or 8 cyl
that sad woulf. my hubby bought his chevy from my son (who only put 34K miles on it) it's got almost 200K miles now and still going. we just put a new clutch in it.
i've got grown kids and 5 grandkids. my kids left at home are the furry kind. lol
the Explorer is in great shape at least -- it is a 97 and only has 68000 miles on it
does the very last fa6 build off the others?
wow... that's great!! i was looking to get one, but the silverado won't last much longer with his commute (an hour a day back roads), and I can't drive it anymore... bad joints
the best part is that the car seats fit perfectly and I still have the room I need to carry stuff -- the Saturn is the most family unfriendly car I have ever encountered
he really wants a truck, so i'll drive it during the week (i don't work and put only 5K miles/year) and he'll have it when he wants a truck
i had to sell my saturn. which one did u have?
the backseat was not designed with carseats in mind and the trunk doesn't have the right shape to fit anything unless you can drop the seats
it stunk for kids. i had an SL2
It is a 95 SL1
i had a 96. i got 45 miles to the gal. on the highway. i MISS that
but u r so right... it stinks for car and booster seats
it was soooo easy to buy tho.
*diving back into grid in hopes I might finish before bedtime*
me too... got 88 left to find. here i goooo
The wildest part about the Saturn giving up the ghost is that the insurance expires in two weeks and the registration expires two weeks after that so the timing couldn't have been better
I'll join you in the grid -- still have 62 at this point -- I only just opened Lickety's list
that's good. i ended up selling mine after i injured my ankle and couldn't drive a stick shift for 2 years.
okay then let's don our diving gear and jump in!!!
I have a friend who may be interested in buying the Saturn so I will have to give him a call
any help on the T 2nd row from the bottom?
and hi all.
*splash*
hi jbp
hi jbp
not there yet... sry jb
not that i don't love the saturn talk, since I have one, and it's my 2nd saturn of 2 cars ever ;-)
and long may it drive
how about the R next to the 2 in the middle of the 2nd from bottom row?
the last fa6?
i'm going nuts trying to fine a stupid er4 (the middle one) i have no trouble with the big words... but the derned little ones are so elusive some times
i only have dad and the pudgier one of the FA 6's
more hefty (bulky body) jane
adhd - check the comparison (by the way, it's canadian funds and kilometres and litres) http://automotive.mytelus.com/automoti ve/tools/compare/compare.spy?CLS=Picku p&ID1=1072200106&Y2=2007&M2=Chevrolet& ID2=1071201510
for that middle E... to make mistakes?
pudgier... that's a much better clue
hee
to er** is human?
tx autumn. i've been using carpointe, carefare and several others... i'll try that. brb gonna enter it
to er.. are human you mean
and homonym of to make money
yeah, silly tense endings...
jbp -- three of the T's are te4 -- homophone of to tu** around, te5 plural, then te4 - t + icky reaction + s
I have 85 left and doubt I'll make it :(
i cannot copy that address in it's entirety moon. would you email me the link? word.lover@sbcglobal.net
that's 3 of 4, thanks Grey
oh, and to not be talkative is also a T off that one
I would help with the 4th but can't figure out which one it is
there you go!
Does anyone have a clue for the st 6/21 word please?
tx for the er clue... i could use some help cleaning the fish guts off of me

st7 -- to extend st9 - builds off the 7 -- emt patient transport device
st 7/36 is what you might do when you first wake up.
before you exercise you should st*****
7/96 is the person who may to the st7/36 just clued.

OMG! I just looked at the time. 15 minutes to bedtime and I haven't even cleaned up from supper. I will have to stop now with 85 to go. See you all tomorrow.

Hi rmcc -- had a near summer quality spring day here -- but the night is now quite comfortable :)

Hi Jac!

st6/21 is another word for myrrh, btw.
yw dispatch
Hi ADHD, Dispatch, rmcc & WOLFIE! (hugs Wolfie).
evenin' all. down to 17... and having a horrid work night. pity me and give clues? *tries to look especially pitiable*
silly me...i had them...just didn't enter them into lickety's list. oh my...
the first e4 is making me crazy, help!
jes - I'd ask why work's horrible but that would take up your last bit of grid time... so what clues do you need?
not west, but ea**
hi jes...i sympathize. i had a horrible work day too. i still have 16, but maybe they are different ones. what would you like to have a clue for first?
Harp - the first e4 is a compass point.
oops, i meant the firs er4
jes -- you don't need to look pitiable -- we give clues freely
ch6,24 after the silly voting things that cause Florida so much trouble
i know, woulf. but i look pitiable in real life too, i'm sure.
the second st6/18 anyone?
and jac, you probably don't want to know... it definitely goes on the list of really gross things that most people never have to deal with, and nobody wants to.
I'll read your journal blog sometime, jes.
monkey united ******
ch6/24 -- c + ha4 + first vowel
jes, think of the the dishonest ch5 word. switch the 2 vowels, then add the first vowel to the end
oh boy. how obvious was that. thanks rmcc1
thank you dispatch :)
passes fish to monkey
any time
Glad you answered that Dispatch because I had no idea if it was little men poking their noses over walls of worm bristles that cause voting problems in Florida!
*or worm bristles. Quite changed the sentence that; me putting 'n' instead of 'r'. LOL.
lol jac!!!
the hanging ch4 was the butt of many jokes here in the states!
hehe. well, now you know what that ch5/16 means to americans ;)
Anyway - on with the clues! Not much time left before the flip.
brb potty time
sa6?
first ha5 word
rmcc - Get a commode. Very useful when you're Babbling! *grins*
harp...smelly thing you might find in the undies drawer

or a catheter lol
Harp sa6/24 & plural 7 - what shampoo comes in sometimes.
harp, it's a small bag for carrying scented stuff in.

oh boy 7 left
trets
thanks, jac, dispatch :)
y/w, jes.
cheez jes... we typed trets at exactly the same time.
sorry jes, it was jacula. what can i say? i was laughing very hard.
only i'm using lickety's add so it won't show up in chat
oh, the commode comment?
Hope you didn't wet yourself, rmcc. LOL.
chat shows if you type more than one word. single words go to the grid add
re8,50?
yup, and that's started me off again.
re8/50 - to put together again.
jacula, stop it. fortunately i made it to the potty
to reconnect a limb, jes
argh. fish! thank you jac :)
to re-glue for example
