thats about usual, just give her that toddler milk and shell be right, the toddler milk that is like a suppliment. I went through every meal had to be soup, then chips

thats what my family said, but she has cows milk or i make her porridge with lots of milk and put it in a bottle for her to drink , thay works!

pinkhat - my advice would be to not panic too much about her not eating. You want her to enjoy food, don't let it turn into a battleground. A hungry child will eat eventually, you're possibly making it worse if you give her porridge etc that fills her up. She's not hungry, therefore she won't eat food.

this is an on and off problem where i make her breakfast she wont eat it, then i do her a variety of lunches- she wont eat then dinner rolls around and she still wont eat then a whole day has gone without eating and it concerns me
We refused to make food a battle ground though, and #3 (now 7) is branching out, and trying new foods, in a VERY gradual process.

pinkhat i have 2 great eaters and one fussy 4 year old. we give the 4 year old a healthy varied diet and he either eats it or goes without. in most parts he eats it as he knows there's nothing else on offer
You'd be amazed at the power of guilt. Don't let it interfere with achieving the desired goal. Liquids are an insidious way of attempting to achieve "balance".
took me a year of serving up certain veg before he decided to eat it
previous to that he would only eat veg pureed and if it was orange !

normallyshe is a picky eater and a grazer. never a big eater-- she will have bottles of milk and juices throughout the day
Creative cooking works, make it look fun i have a whole book on toddler food, make smillie faces that sort of thing
Ahhh, the old liquid trick. Be prepared for resistance, when you limit that.......
She's probably getting too many calories from the liquids, pinkhat. Is she not drinking from a cup yet?
If you limit that, I should say. She will buck that in a heartbeat.

I would suggest persisting with the cup, pinkhat. She won't be able to drink as much. To be honest, it's not going to do her teeth any good if she has liquid swirling round for long periods.
Kids like to play witb things, they are bery touch and taste orientated, make meals fun, dont freak out if she goes 'um nope' just wait a few and eat your tea and then see if shes interested if not let her run away and do other stuff
old enough to know how to pull at the heart strings effectivly then
I have to reiterate, no kid, none yet, to date, will starve themselves. At that age, give a limited choice, and let her decide.

My exs kid who was 3ish went through this 'not going to eat it faz' so one night we asked him what he wanted 'chips choc, every junk food in the house he ate. He learnt real quick that night eat healthy not crappy
We used to practically dance (as a group) when he tried something new. LOL

i do praise and encourage her like last night i made lasagneshe's never had it before and would say to her ummmm and rub her tummy and it worked for a while then she spat it out and continued playing

yes, I woke up for no specific reason at 6... totally bummed, had hoped to sleep in today!

I was awake during the night from 5-6, so I read, then thought I'd sleep a couple more hrs but woke at 9:15 and with the beginnings of a migraine--my brain didn't like the change of sleeping pattern.

pabtrek--kayking was WONDERFUL again--sunny, 70 + degrees, calm lake. We paddled around, then went to our favorite island, found our beaver friend, watched him/her swim and sit on the shore, then we had lunch on the island, read books, talked, figured out the meaning of life, then skinnydipped, then paddled back....a day of renewal that I definitely needed after a frustrating work week.

Liz - I've had so much sleep on holiday last week that I am rather awake but, also, I have been in pain with what my doctor thinks is an abcess under a molar. Dentist wasn't available the day I was going on holiday (last Friday) and so doc gave me some antibiotics to keep it under control... and pain killers. Got dental appointment on Monday.

Minver - I wasn't around (was on holiday) when stidmama was doing the icons. However, if you have paintshop pro or a paint program on your PC you can create your own icons. You can also do them in 'word' like the one I did for Ex-Wren.

I also love it because I can make free calls to cities which would be long distance on the rgular phone lines. And that's all I use it for so I pay a very small fee for it.

(You know, if you have a mercury filling in a tooth and you accidentally chew a toffee with a bit of foil still on it... that feeling).

I decided to 'die' during those when having my breech baby (1st child). i consicously stopped breathing. only came back because the nurse kept thumping me and calling me by my full first name and thus annoyed me... so I had to come back to have a go at her! I heard them saying how my heartbeat/pulse etc was almost negative.
