Knight - it really depends if it's a known word or not. There can be strange words with single point letters, and normal words with high points.
I don't even notice points or size, just take them as I find them, then fill in the blanks watching chat

Do any of you have attitude problems giving clues to people you just pop in, type al5/10, expect you to give a clue, and don't thank you or just let you know they got the answer?
basic manners do not seem to be taught anymore
the upside of being our lady of perpetual distraction is that i can more easily tune those rubes out, because yes, that does irk me
if I ever forget to thank anyone, I would feel bad
different strokes for different folks, doesn't bother me, I know how busy some babblers are
it used to bother me, but some folks might be more focused into the grid. or other distractions.
I ask for lots of clues, but I'm truly grateful, because no one's obligated to give me clues.
sometimes I just don't have time to chat but want to finish the puzzle

But, they should be fired if you are treated like a slave, hursh. They can ask, and yes, when asked, you should either do it or tell them why you can't at the time or whatever. But they can't command.
but i don't mind being commanded, i feel it is fair exchange for being able to eat, have shelter, provide for my cats...
