We always just made sure that the cats had high up places where the dogs couldn't get too them and that they had plenty of escape routes, Eventually they all just muddles along. Now the cats sleep in the dogs baskets

yeah, lucy, the kitten was hissing at first but by the end of a half hour was pretty much indifferent
Just keep an eye on them at first, they'll soon settle. I had to keep a watch especially if the puppy sniffed the cats in case they lashed out near his eyes
yes, i think we'll pick him up on a friday night and have the whole weekend to keep watch on them

mad as a hatter i have always had 5 cats last edition is frankie who is now 14 weeks old gets out of the windows cat flap everywhere foloows the others about, and they are all protective of him which is great to watch,they bring him rats and birds home which is not so nice but living in the country thts what you get x

i'm very nervous about that fran. going to talk with the midwife tomorrow at my appt. i was 4 and 1/2 hours with daniel! 25 min of pushing! i was induced with pitocin, and want to know how much of the speed was me, and how much was pitocin.
and it was 10 days before due date.

I was 7 hours 36mins with my 1st child (a breech delivery done naturally) and about 1hr 35 mins with 2nd child. (Just as well I intended to have her at home!)
doc thought Gigi would be over 9 lbs. if i went to term
see, that's what i'm afraid of jac! i live 20-25 minutes away from the hospital too, so will need to be very careful i think
Having said that about both deliveries... I did get 4 or 5 hour warnings beforehand (which were uncomfortable, but not too much so).

feather - I remmber a friend from work passing out when her baby did that. How weird it is how different we all are.... I just loved and enjoyed any sign or feeling of my babbies moving around within me. Tht was the best part of pregnancy to me.

Dol - I wish her the same. And LOL about your son ringing just as you mentioned him. My son has the same kind of nose for a freshly brewed pot of tea. He never fails to come downstairss and half-empty it with the huge mug he has. Recently, myOther Hlaf (not his Dad) found himself a bigger mug to clash antlers with! I'd love to shgow you a pic of that but I'm still stuck with my naked, alien computer with none of my stuff on it.

It's all about Farmer Flinder's horse taking charge of the hat.
Another great book for young children is 'Where The Wild Thins Are' by Maurice Sendak. Mind you, you might have to cope with questions from 10 or 11 year olds about why the little boy in the story has a moustache!
