Melon are you ok?
ok, off to bed with me. It's my last week temping at this place... *sniff* I've been there almost 4 months already.. gonna miss it
I remember when we lived in San Francisco. Golden Gate Park was closed to cars every Sunday. I more r less learned how to ride a bike at the age of 30 while weaving across a 6-lane empty road.

The Do 6 word is a weird one but i remember it used in SIms 2
its a style of window herin

sorry jilli, i stepped away for a kozy Shack tapioca, let me get on it.
hiccup time for sure
Hi Sprite
hi lady
Shack tapioca?
oh, i hit return whilst in Firefox and nothing happened, so i hit it again and it made a blank line, and the, and then - now, here in safari i can see where that got me.
hello sprite
Kozy Shack - it's a band name. nice w/raspberries.
hi jilli
Opps Melon
hi all, good holiday spritr?
opps indeed
band name? LOL, I think maybe brand name?
hi MVA, yes, great holiday :)
ch7/8 miserly birds
I am going through the list and adding RE to all words
ty melon
had that one, melon, and the do7, pr7, re7
do7 - sleepy roof features, he7, seven with a chemical ending - sugary?, oc7 - the femmy spelling of oc5, both mean eight,
pr7 - examiners
*yaaaaaaawn* Morning all. Anyone got some sleepy stuff to help me fall asleep?
POUNCE on Jade
re7s (4) - annoys again, a nasty weed, one who rests,
hi Jade *hums a gentle lullaby*
Ooof!
last re7: pokes again
Awww.....sprite! That's it!
Why didn't I think of classical music......
oh yes! Works miracles!
6th of Beethoven maybe
hi jade
Lucky Jade im not like one of my friends that steels the blankies then sings
hi jade! hi sprite!
sprite, featherbee had her baby.
allrighty, that's enough for me. laila tov, all. {poof}
morning all
nite melon
night melon!
bye melon
hi ren
hi ren8! hi mva!
oh wow Fran! Did it all go well?
hi ren8
Bye melon
Hi Fran and MVA
i guess so, her husband came on and gave us the news. went easily and she did it natural.
7lbs. 6 oz. 20 inches
her husband? I thought it was a friend called LC
I have RE 7/36 RE 40 Re 32 what am i missing please
She was on here yesterday morning and she had just had a false alarm, thats wonderful news. Is it a boy or girl?
maybe earlier jilli, but doug was on right before the flip
I am so glad for her. LOL @ the measures... no idea what that stands for... and do we know gender and / or name?
boy ren, nicholas. don't know what middle name she finally chose.
oh -- LC was on much earlier -- about half an hour after she gave birth
wow, good name
great news!!
sorry sprite! 7 pounds, 6 ounces and 20 inches long, can someone convert that?
feather is why I have my icon (theme is wood)
lbs is short for pound? Okay, now you have me baffled!
yes sprite, english is really confusing
Oh that has made my day, thats a nice name too, one you dont hear of much these days, so it makes a change
I love your icon, jilli.
the abbrev. is from latin!
I have RE 7/36 RE 40 Re 32 what am i missing please
oh wait, now I finally get the title of that tv series. It is about the brain and is something like 3lbs. Must be the weight of the brain, LOL.
that's it sprite! :-)
I am so glad for featherbee. Hope she feels alright and is enjoying the baby boy!
he7 anyone?
Hi jilli!!!! Hi FranMag.....!!! So sorry...trying to get sleepy here.
sorry pigeon, i'm still looking for that one too
it's okay jade, shall we sing?
7 lbs 6 oz = 487 g, I think (my metric conversion calculator says so if I did it right)
it starts like Audrey H**burn and ends as chemical sugar ending.
Better get ready for work, thanks for that good news about Feather and have a good day everyone
thanks sprite! Hs greyed.
thanks sprite. nice clue
bye ren
later ren! have a great day
oh wow jilli, thanks! Sweet of you. That is quite a boy!
bye ren8, and yw all :)
I have RE 7/36 RE 40 Re 32 what am i missing please
I have only one yet lady
No Fran, thank you. I think Loreena McKinnett is working on the sleepy thing for me.
mu
never mind i found it
oh yes, not classical but effective, Jade :)
20" + 50.8 cm
morning afternoon evening all
hi lore!
I make 7lb 6oz about 3.4kg not 4.87! 20ins is .508m
hi lore
really quite a boy! mu back at you, lore :)
I have re7/40 x 2, herin
hi sprite enjoy your holidays we did miss you by the way
that is sweet, lore, I missed you guys too! But we had a great holiday, enjoyed it all very much :)
glad you had a good time
The bub was closer to 8pounds (3.5 killos)
4.87Kg is over 10.5lb!
aloha fran
could be, spellit -- 7 lbs is 3.175 kg and I must have goofed on the 6 oz
you mean this pound is not our pound either... funny measures, grin.
I just googled the current weight 3.5 killos or 8pounds thats a lot of baby
I see a lady in UK just had a 14lb+ baby
argh spellit... imagine giving birth to... no, better not.
My friend was about that when he was born (naturally too)
Rather not...
my daughter was 7 lbs. 8 oz., son was 8.1 lbs.
well, I'd like to go to bed but can't until I find a U word and the bottom R word -- any help forthcoming?
any bigger would have been too much!
back again, 2.2 lbs is 1 kilo if that helps and 1 metre is 40 inches
jilli, the bottom R word is almost what they take into space. ro6/24
Can't believe I was once 6lb - now I want to lose 6lb!
ty fran
just found that R word... like what is sent into space, change vowel and 3rd consonant.
my son was 7-10 and his cousin was 6 something. The cousin is now about 6'2 and my son 5'10.
yw mva
thanks Andree, that helps and welcome back
and once more Fran beat me to it :)
lol spellit
thanks fran and sprite -- I almost had it
yes sprite, but we gave basically the same clue. :-)
your mind and my mind, Fran... ;)
:-)
now for one of the up6/24s!
oh jilli, and an U word: went in the direction of the skies.
got it -- (silly word!)
or: destructed into little pieces.
yay! finally found my last 7
they are both weird, at least to my eyes.
thanks sprite, didn't have that second up6
pigeon, still here?
shredded into little pieces is maybe a better clue?
i can clue the te7 now.
first clue worked for me sprite. :-)
please do Fran :)
the second up6 is silly too, but thanks for the clue
phantom perfume
but for those that don't share a brain with us, the shredded would be more appropriate.
te7, plural native american shelter
ow wow, thanks :)
how about ripped?
ow yes, ripped is even better. See how I learn from babble and especially you guys!
there's also the alt spellings sprite for another set of te words.
double thanks :)
tsssss my mother's maiden name is in this grid. It is not verse + E. French ancestry, lol.
thanks sprite, i didn't have the verse(s) yet! *bonk*
well, 40 left so they can wait for tomorrow but it's gonna be another busy day so may not get them -- night all
night jilli!
re6,24?
night jilli
lol... Fran, the name is the NOT verse + E... and thank YOU for the verse(s)!
night jilli
night jilli!
:-)
night jilli see you soon

arrrrgh. thank you.
HI Ard
Bravo to the Featherbees - producing a son on the Glorious 12th!! Hi everyone
re6/24 engine pistons sometimes need this
or, joan jett sang about having a bad re***ation, re6/24 is the base of the word.
oh yeah, there are two re6/24s.
thanks for that one
hi jfb!
hi jfb!

Yah Fran and those that have finished
hey, the weird fr5/20 is back, as ordered yesterday by some of you!
aack, and i didn't even see it! thanks sprite!
that would be my language, Andree
let's see if ata sees it without prompting.
greyed out c's
I think it were you and Ata, right Fran?
i didn't see it yesterday
ok, once again, playing babble & listening to the right music has saved me. Off to count the stitches in my pillows....night all! Love you ALL so MUCH! Honestly.......*poof*
thx sprite
andree, sprite's language or when you both pay on a date.
Night Jade
nite jade
night jade!
it wasn't in yesterday's grid. It came up in the chat and some said it should be back soon to help us remember it.
*hugs Jade* bye hun!
i think it was 2 or 3 grids ago actually
goodnight jade
I actually resent that expression, LOL. We aren't that bad here!
and thx fran
but yes, ata and i were talking about it last night saying it should be back soon before we forget it (fr5/20)
sorry sprite, don't know what the origin of that phrase is and i sure hope it has nothing to do with your people!
I think it does though... as far as I know there are lots of jokes about the Dutch being miserly. I have never noticed that aspect about my fellow countrymen, but I am certain we did something in the past to deserve it ;)
need tea and breakfast, bbl, have fun all
bye MVA
later mva!
bye mva
oh, and Fran, don't say sorry... I am certainly not holding you responsible, grin.
here's the wikipedia entry on that phrase or dating practice: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Going_Dut ch
sorry for posting the word, i just think it's interesting
morning all!!
hi pink
hey andree
hi pink!
hi fran!!
is there really a du4/12???
hi pink
HI Pink
sprite, paying your own share is not miserly
yes ardilla, ends in a double consonant
hello herin
Yes Du shortened coat
thanks Fran, that IS interesting! And you said sorry again, LOL.
I have the feeling that there should be Mac before the Du4.
du4 is slang for arse
hello! sprite!! i' am coca cola, my friends names are Pepsi and royal. why you choose sprite as your name.
last re7/40 please
hi in-in, a sprite is also an etherial being, like a fairy.
ty
andree, poke at again
i thought it was just the name of the simpsons beer :)
beta 11 is not loading up this morning, so i have be relegated to the original babble playing board :(
Andre aliens kidnap you and re ***** your butt

and good morning ata!
lolll lady! Now I need to find it so I can understand the fun!
you can click on my profile, in-in, it is there.
I am hearing a Feather in my ear ' Do we have a potential code Red?"
hi ata and sprite, i will email lickety AGAIN, it will be a challenge for me not to use the list
you can still use the list pink with the link at the bottom here
haven't you kept the email with the link, pink?
Pink IM me
so!! are you a fairy? hahaha!! by the way, where do you live?
really? how long you've been playing babble?
the du4 is a common slang in Aus for pregnant as in up the du** lol
that's what i'm thinking jilli.
I think so, lady!
yes i have it i think sprite...in fact will check...brb
ah, what colorful phrases you have andree. :-)
That is true Andree, 'bun in the oven'
really? how long you've been playing babble?
I love Aus. Wish I could speak like that, sigh... and like the Scots... and the Irish... but alas.
Oh and you cant clean your monitor when its the mouse cursor as the dot nor can you change the tv channel with your mobile fone
is there no du5 accent sprite?
d's are done!
woo hoo ardilla!
I am afraid that is what you will hear when you listen to me talking english, Fran... ;)
letter fireworks for ardilla!
ty fran & sprite!
still no luck with that last re 7 and 8, despite the clues,
hello!! Atlante. I'm in in, a new player. Can i be your chat mate also.?
hello!! Atlante. I'm in in, a new player. Can i be your chat mate also.?

Oh FMitch, Herin, I've been pooled under the duvet :) Also went on the camping experience from HELL with some rowdy boys : D
ata you still there?
ROFL - NancyB and camping, so many possibilities, but I didn't think you did "roughing it".
Nice Nancy, cant see you 'roughing it' one bit
Did you enjoy and was the weather kind to you?
oh!! that's okay for me, Herinfernallady. at least i am showing the real me. i am telling the world that i want somebody whom i can annoy with.
oh!! that's okay for me, Herinfernallady. at least i am showing the real me. i am telling the world that i want somebody whom i can annoy with.
hi FMitch :)
Hi spritey, heard you had a good holiday, nice to see you back.
Thank IN-IN if you want to be annoying go to other chat based site other wise sit down play the game and enjoy.
Oh FMitch, Herin, you're absolutely right! To bathe with four other noisy, smelly boys in a stream must be outlawed in some cultures :/ however, it was a bit sleepover-like in the evening, which I'm more used to :)
we had a great time, FMitch, and it is good to be back as well :)
nipping in quick to say hi :)
hi Liz! Good morning to you!
hi liz!
hey, Sprite you're so mean. why did you call me a troll?
hey , Sprite you're so mean. why did you call me a troll?

sleep well, Fran *hug*
owww poor lad. Nancy we are renting a cabin in the bush. The boy went $70 a night and walk to the outside facilities or pay $115 a night and have a fully selfcontained cabin inside plumbing
If I say "pin" more times than in-in, do I get a prize?

No pink no need yet

might just go away if we don't feed it pink
Doing that myself Andree.
*sings "Dust in the wind.... all they are is dust in the wind...." *
bye liz
Picks up a lighter and joins SPrite :D
Don't tempt me, FMitch :) watching "how to look good naked" is like seeing my own future, lol. But Herin, I've been...out in the -wilderness-...I've cut myself on thorns and recieved a burn because boys can't cook! <holds out arms>
sorry i disturb you guys.
bye liz, have a good one!
owwww poor Nancy
Oh in-in, you can't disturb the disturbed :)
ok, that calls for a big hug, NancyB. *HUG*
<cuddles up to Herin and Sprite> Can I have some cocoa later? : D
Oh you would love the challenge NancyB, limited budget but creativity rules and colour is the order of the day.
I have hot choc stuff and flavour syrups too
with marshmallows?
hahaha! okay. bye got to log out. i have my class.
I think i marshmallows too (some were in the cupboard)
FMitch, can I accessorize with your icon? I wish I had the confidence to be more colourful; I seem to own clothing in solely black and pink these days :/ However, an abundance of it : D
Oh and Choc biscuit slice in the fridge
Oh ladies, shower me with as much sugar as you like : D
can I have some cocoa too, please?
Yep
Think there is a batch on the stove
Phone BRB
Good Morning everyone :)
my back still hurts. It shouldn't still hurt *scowl*
HI Karys
hi Karys!
What happened, Atalante??
Hi Karys!
poor Ata :( *gives Ata a virtual, very gentle airhug*
Ata was stabbed in the back!
had a boob job. or got stabbed. or something. anyway, ended up with a big gash across my back with lots of stitches in and it hurts!
you can borrow my heat pad if it would help Ata
no, it won't help will it ?
I think a cooling pad would be nicer
oh ty Karys!
Morning Karys (still on the phone) :(
it;l help the rest of my back thats aching cos I'm having to hold it in weird positiosn!
My goodness gracious. Find me the person who did that and I'll sort them out, Nancy Boy style!
multitasking !!!!
I think the description starts with white coat, NancyB
and I've got to try driving today for the first time since Dr Frankenstein got his hands on me
does lying in a gently warm bath help ?
or a good belting with your handbag
driving sounds painful
driving? argh... don't you have a swimming belt or something to make it possible to lean against the chair without hurting The Place?
...Oh. <blushes> Well, maybe I'll let them off with a warning...
can't have a bath. have got some pressure bandage thing on back. can't have shower. ditto. can't do anything, and I'm getting Fed Up of it!
not to your back ata, i mean to the person who stabbed you
oh dear Ata.....I really do sympathise xx
pillows, sprite :) pillows follow me everywhere I go right now!
Right, one of you responsible ladies roll in with a sponge bath for Ata. I'll, er, avert my eyes.
why that, NancyB? Ata is beautiful, really!
it's just not the same tho' is it Nancy
nah, you all go and look after Mrp! I'm just whining really LOL
(compared to her!)
Mr PRes has the lovely Lickety
whining is important
and you are here Ata !
Oh Sprite, I'd agree, but naked women are hardly my area of expertise <grins wickedly>
true. ok, I'll moan wholheartedly then :)
lol... chance to broaden your experience then... in a purely esthetic way ;)
So you are not going to be the next Gok Wan then NancyB?
Fish me i missed the fish
Sprite, I am pulling my sleeping mask down and that is final :)
but having someone around who has it 'worse' does not lessen your own pain, Ata... you whine as much as you want to!
brb
lol NancyB... ok, that is clear ;)
Oh FMitch, I already am : D just take me to the shops and watch me go..
Note to self *must train clients not to call when I am babbling* :)
such a lot of nice nearly there words again !
See, I knew I should have asked you to come and supervise :)
how insensitive of them, FMitch!
Lol, FMitch ((hugs)) you'd have ended up with three-inch-heels, pink hair and a lip ring...
changing the subject completely - am watching sky news - do you think Madeleine McCann is dead? And do you think she will ever be out of the news ever again?
*pictures FMitch in that outfit*
she is either dead or been sold, sorry to say!!
finally finished the dreaded r words
That sounds a bit like Tracy from BigBrother minus the heels.
that would scare any kidnapper into giving the kid back!
I always believed she had been abducted for money, now I'm not quite so sure.
Ata, I think it may have been just a little too long for the poor girl...even if she makes it home after all of this, her life will be altered so tragically... At the same time, it makes me feel rather bad for all the other missing children who don't get that much news coverage; like they have less of a chance.
I think so too, pink.
The more time that passes the darker the outcome looks Ata
yes, Nancy *exactly* my thoughts too, about the other missing children. I feel awful for all the parents who didnt do all this. Will they now feel bad cos they didnt do all this? That would be awful
oc7/32 please
Nancy, she would recover and quite quickly, being so young, but the longer it goes on the worse it gets.
and what is the effect going to be on the the twins?
<Agrees> because if she were found intact now, the guilt of the parents whose children were never recovered would be so crippling with the thoughts that they could have done more to push their child into the public eye. So, so sad..
female singing group of 8, Andree :)
my first thought was that her parents were involved, as they seemed a little too composed, but now....something sinister has happened. too much time has gone by
yes, thats what really upsets me, even though the actual Madeleine case is heartrending on its own
they never mention the twins, do they ?
thx sprite
the twins are still very young, aren't they? hopefully they wont even remember
Think they are around 2yrs old ish
But they don't say things like ' we have to carry on for the sake of the twins' and so on
sorry for bringing up a depressing topic, I just find the way the whole thing has been done to be very very strange
were her parent in the complex dining when she was abducted or in another complex, because i have heard 2 stories
yeah, those twins are going to be in limbo until the Madeleine "issue" is resolved
I think in the same complex, but over the road / street from their apartment
According to the media they were just round the corner from the apartment
I remember an interview with the parents saying they could just about see the back patio / garden of the apartment from where they were eating
If we can have the six female singers, why acn't wew have the two female singers ?
oops....sorry, just washed my hands again !
because enable hates us
LOL Ata
i dont think the Madeliene issue will ever by resolved, they will never have closure unless she returns...but as a parent i wouldn't leave them, alone sleeping, especially being abroad, whether its across the road, downstairs
eh... we can... du4/6 can be both male or female ;)
but I want the pretty ending sprite
I do too :( Ata is right about enable
I dont even leave my *dog* alone!
Me neither pink, didn't leave ours all those years agao when things didn't seem so bad as they are now.
We never leave our kids, not abroad, not at home, unless there is a babysit.
but saying that, my mother used to happily leave me alone from about 8 or 9 upwards. and by 12 I was "home alone" for 2 weeks occasionally while parents were on holiday. I think these things can happen whether watched or not watched
lol, when they were small and we were on vacation, my husband went to the bar alone and came back with drinks from there! And went back with the empty glasses and brought us new.
I was always convinced that if I left them the house would spontaneously combust or some such disaster !!
wow Ata, that is pretty young to be alone for that long. I am not smiling here.
didnt bother me, I was an independent little brat!
not playing the blame game, but if the parents had decided to eat in the hotel room or had a babysitter this situation wouldn't of happened
LOL Ata I was the same
things were different then, i babysat my 3 younger sisters by the time i was 12 if my parents were out
fireworks
bye all
If i had kids i a) wouldnt take them to some dodgy country. I feel so sad for the parents its got to be a worst nightmare situation
yay ruthy
hi ruthy and wtg
Congrats and bye ruthy !!
Yah Ruthy. Nancy you still about?
They must be constantly in the 'if only' mode.
if it was a genuine kidnap, the parents must blame themselves until they go nuts, I think.
Portugal is not exactly a dodgy country by any stretch of the imagination.
easy to say herin, but one does what one has to do, we lived in bankok and kuala lumpur, which can be pretty dodgy for 8 years when my kids were small
the worst mode to be in!!
Im not say any country is or isnt dodgy im saying if i had kids it would be hard were to choose where is or isnt safe cause in reality no were is.
at the end of 8 years my kids didn't want to come home, it was a great experience
Still here, Herin :) can't think of what I would do with children of mine on holiday, mainly because I haven't exactly been producing any. If you know what I mean. : D
Ha ha Nancy.
wouldn't wish kids on anyone at 17, lol. Not even nephews or nieces ;)
I sould imagine it would be Andree, that is something you have given them.
Lol, Sprite. Funny to think, if this was the same time scale as Romeo and Juliet I'd already be father to about five of the things :/
i was ever vigilant, my kids still talk about the eyes in the back of my head, lol
Andree why did i get a visual of your skull having eyes in the back too
On that basis Nancy I would be a Grandma, something that won't be a real life issue :)
because its something most mothers develop herin
in even older days I would have been left outside for the wolves to finish, I think.
Yep. I used to look after kids i can pretty much sense when the monsters were up to something
FMitch, be grandmother to as many of my offspring as you see appropriate :) Though what with the present situation, I may have to either grow them on trees or simply clone myself.
or adopt, NancyB!
Just get a gooseberry bush NB and look underneith. That's where they come from isn't it?
No, the stork brings them Mitch !!
Lasso flying storks?
Ahh thats where I've been going wrong :)
I thought they were brought in by the stork. Except in midwinter when it is too cold... then the pinguin must step in.
Has anyone seen that penguin that walks down to the shops and goes shopping for its owners? Adorable, that thing :)
but penguins can't fly sprite and it would be a very long waddle from the Sout Pole
that is why I said step in :) Yes, they must walk and it is a real burden!
Well, I must go and shop for food again, I still need an 8, will you save it for me 'til I get back please ?
we will try, Karys. Good luck on the dreaded shopping.
Can I give you my shopping list karys, pretty please?
Do I HAVE to Mitch ?
bye karys
oh darn, I really need to get this day started and I just don't want to :(
Ph please please, it's notly a short list honest (hiding small book behind back)
You washed your hands too ?
ust dive into it sprite
There are some strange words today LOL go shopping karys and leave us, we don't care *sob*
((Sprite)) I agree. The thought of moving to shower the sleepy-dust from my eyes is jarring. Plus, Tank has settled and she's too heavy to move at this hour :(
Will pick up list on my way past ok ?
Nancy is Tank your kitty?
I think Tank has provided you with a perfect excuse to postpone the inevitable. I need a pet too!
Indeed she is, Herin. Her purring is vibrating my knee :)
Share mine, Sprite, there's enough of her :)
LOL NancyB, ok! Thanks :)
when we get the kittie i will be busy playing with her royal crazyness
the RE's aren't kind to me today
Awww, Herin, you're adopting a furry thing?
hello everyone!
Feathers had her baby?
Morning, Lynx! Though it feels like the middle of the night D:
yes lynxxx, a baby boy!
sprite they are all fairly normal although seom of them seem to be the re stuck randomly to any other word in the grid Hi lynxxx yes she has!
Yes next week, shes part maybe whole White Russian. She was found on the road side as a little bitty kitty. Her owner left her in part care with a g/f ages ago now the owner has dumped her so we are getting her shes very pretty
Yippee!!! she must have been quick - which is always good
Sprite, she did?! When was this? Details, ladies!!
Lynxx 7pound 13 name Nicholas
he is called Nicholas Featherbee and is healthy and well, as is the mother.
TY Infernal - and your icon alerted me
and 50,8 cm, I believe
Went into hospital about 5.30pm and Nicolas was born naturally around 7.45
woot, that is fast
cool Yep. A friend of hers LC told us and then Mr Feather told us too
Must have wanted to get back to the grid!
Aw, how lovely...could he be the first baby to ever be raised on babble? He may grow up here :)
oh now, we have had more babies, NancyB! Some babbled with us while dad tried to get them to sleep...
Oh Herin, what could lead anyone to leave a helpless little kitten on the roadside?
*now = no
the same twist that lead people to kill, rape, torture and abuse.
sprite, remember when Grey Woulfes baby was born and he would try to babble whilst holding the newborn in the moddle of the night, *eyes mist over*
lol, that was the one I had in mind, FMitch. It was a great time. I miss Woulf so much.
I have no idea she was not even 6 weeks when they got her. She had to be taught litter mate style what was acceptable. You bite me ill bite you (softly of course) and now she behaves quiet well except when in a snit
Has Grey been seen lately?
mmm me too
about 3 weeks ago, I think, he was briefly here.
ok
woot
Right, I'm off to bite the bullet and throw something warm and caffeinated down me :/ Going to attempt a finish today, so I'll see you all later :) (((hugs)))

Hi Lori
Lori hello
I did the re's, and have to go to work in an hour. Is the grid possible in an hour or is it a weird one?
need sleep. Big week ahead. 100 left for tomorrow. G'morning Lori and G'night all :)
Sleep tight sunny.
Feather had a little boy 7pound 13 this morning Named Nicholis
bye Sunny - sleep well
good evening lori
Feather had the baby?
Yahoo! Mom and baby are doing well?
gn sunny
Yes
Yes Mr Feather was online earlier she is good. It was all natural too
Excellent news! Congrats to the feather family, and good things from my house to theirs.
Clue for the RE 8 Lynxx sorry clue didnt make sense
re 8 is a plural.
of a what?
it's to launch a ***** to outer space. Or, when aliens kidnap you, it always starts with an anal *****...... :-)
Good morning/evening all.
Lori! What a thought to start the day!
G'd morning Haz! How ya' doin'?
! thank goodness the aliens didn't get me!
hahahahah Lori I just spit coffee all over the place
Hello Haz
ok mm
dang it fish me thanks
Hello all - I'm well thanks, and profoundly grateful that I don't routinely read science fiction.
Hi Meliae
i was looking the wrong way damn it. Hi Haz too
d Meliae
Hello herin.
and Maliae to
hello and good morning everyone
LOL I couldn't resist that clue. :-)
G'd morning melia.
I used something similar for the RE 7 :)
I'm a bit worried that we needed to get to the 'basics' for Infernal to get the clue though
its late and im in a house with idiots it transfers to you
Those aliens always seem to get their freak on with their investigatory techniques.....
I just burned up 15 minutes of my hour yakking. This grid will be a finish later grid.
*Scans the sky for aliens amongst the Perseids, clamps buttocks firmly to chair and scans grid for words.*
ha ha yep. I have played on the playstation 'Destroy all Humans 1 & 2 :)
Morning, all. ;)
lolol Jac !
hi Jac
LOL G'd morning Jacula. Perseids was beautiful last night. We watched for 2 hours.
Good morning Jacula. GIrding loins has never seemed so sensible.
hahahaha Jac, good morning
Haz - Hello. I think a double-girding may be in order today.
I think so!
You guys make me laugh. I love it!
OH..lori..we watched too...
Hi Carlee
well time for med rounds and to think about breakfast for the Ladies I will be back later, thank you for the good morning laugh Lori
G'd morning carlee. Beautiful, wasn't it.
Clues for the E directly above the F please
Ironic that the first word I found earlier was so4/4.
Hello carlee. We had to use our imagination for the night-sky - total cloud cover....
lmao Jac
Have 'yerself a great day melia. See ya'.
One is ep4 - as used by fencers not of the field variety
No joy seeing the meteor shower here last night either. I saw one shooting star but that was in the southeast and not related.
bye Mel
hi herin.... yes..it was...we watched for about an hour..saw some really fab ones... we were oooohing and ahhhhh ing as if was a july first fireworks show...we went down to the lake with beach blankets..took the kids... was a real treat
I have that one ta
phonetic sound pluralized of the double consonants
they were streaking across the sky... pieces breaking apart...
I didn't, so TY Haz
You're welcome, except that it doesn't come from that e! Not to worry...
mornin' all. be 5/14?
It can be pluralised so that the fencers can have a fight.
its that e that i need :{
there's an em4.....
thanks and hi movie
Just found the God of love hiding up a corner. Is he hiding from FMitch, do you think? *grins*
em plus Old Blue Eyes initial
G'd morning bichon
That god of love has no chance. There is no hiding place.
thanks
maybe she's found him and run away with him as she has finished
Hi MM
I wouldn't put it past her, lynxxx.
Morning, bichon. be5/14 - plural be4/6 ('man's' drink).
thanks Jac, sorry, didn't say I neee the last be/5, but nm, fount it meself
bichon - the other be5/14 - the god of love has made Haz & Jac be***ted with aliens
that's my story and I'm sticking to it
TY JBs
LOL, JBs.
Hi JB
Far from it, JB. Our loins are girded, our doors are closed and they can find someone else to 'investigate'.
but I have only 15 minutes to catch the bus for work, so away I go! Hellow and goodbye for now!
Well put, Haz!;)
bye JB
BYe JB - have a good day.
'Bye, JBs.
And the other passengers will be giving me strange looks bcuz my loins will also be well girded! *poof*
ROFLOL at that image!
Maybe that's why Superman wears his pants on the outside?
good morning
*Gets back off floor and onto chair rapidly.*
Haz - That'll be it.
Anyone have any 7s apart from the 2 re7s?
Good morning, greenbay.
Hello, green.
Hi Greenbay
There are windows in the roof, MM.
tr7, MM.
And the investigating aliens are described.
do7, as Haz said.
chickens are ch7&8
aliens are pr6&7 !
Any kind soul got a clue for the sm 6? Then I really can go have my shower in peace :)
and doing it again
sounds like a Rabbit home
a hint for the tr7?
people in showbiz are tr7&8
sm6/30 - with the netherlands ending.
tr7 - to indicate a showbusiness entertainer, part of a larger group. In a military context, a different spelling sounds the same.
there isnt a PT word at all is there?
Then again, maybe I should think it -over- in the shower :) rabbit homes and Netherlands...
I don't get the showbiz hint
'I lost my heart to a starship tr7) - which spelling do you suppose?
bichon - spell 'Starship Tr*****' differently.
And, quite frankly, losing your heart to one might be a bad move.
Snap, Haz!
Nancy Boy, you are back
Bichon - also sounds like a tr7&8 soldiers
NB...u would never findh sm4,6 in a **urch
And Guten Morgen, all BABblers
Haz - LOL. Very true.
hi Inge
got it, thanks lynxxx
( now put together )
Hello Inge & Carlee
Isn't it desparate, Jacula, the things you remember, even though you try to forget?
Morgen, Inge
hi inge...
desperate that I can't spell!
I am indeed, Inge :) Ooh blimey. Cheers, Carlee :)
It is, Haz. It is.
reef
thanks inge..I hadn't gotten to that corner yet..
well, hope teh penalty box is well stocked
Penalty box for inge!!!!!!
TY Inge
Inge's in the crowsnest again. LOL Thanks for warning us.
good morning everyone:)
HI Jean
Hi Jean !

Hello jean.

Hi Rolin...very swish!

Yes, Haz. No one told me we were expected to dress up to Babble today. I feel underdressed! LOL. Very glam, rolin!
Bye Lori. Watch your back.
oooooooohhh i cant describe how wonderful it was..apart from being a 5 star hotel resort where the scenery is brought to you as well..i have done and seen so much
oh no I take it jim jams is unsuitable babble attire lol
jac...one has to set a standard doesnt one?
Lori, put a book down the back of your pants before you leave the house! Safe journey.
back again everyone, lovely icon shot rolin, where did you go ?
Lovely Rolin
herin...did you get my email\?
hello Karys:)
karys...cruised the ancient sites of the mediteranean
hello Jean :)
Here's Karys, another cruise veteran! Good morning/afternoon.
rolin - I thought the standard was a nightie and dressing gown. I can see I'm going to have to rethink my entire Babble wardro4/6.
hi Karys
That sounds good rolin, doing the Med for youngest's 21 st next June
Jacula I am also off to town to get a different babble wardrobe lol
lol.. just for once im rasing the tone???...sheez..that IS out of character for me..
Hello, karys.
See you in town, Jean.
karys...youll love it...
Hello Haz....I know, I a cruise fan and some now !
Rolin I have on my list of to do things going on a cruise I bet it was fab
Hi Jac :)
clue for the bottom r plz
thats a deal then Jacula see you in town lol
jean..it was 2 weeks of utter utter indulgence
I fancy the idea of a cruise, but we'd have to make sure husband could get windows open, he's a fresh air fiend and slightly claustrophobic, so a tiny cabin in the depths would be a bad move.
ro6.24 not quite the spelling of what shoots into the sky
It's hard to make someone understand just how pampered you feel !!
rolin - are you a member of Babanon? If so, it would be lovely if you could do a write-up on your cruise like Haz did on her African holiday.
ty lynxxx
I have a friend who when she went on her first cruise she wasnt that sure about it and now is hooked :)
haz...im the same..but we had an inside cabin..no widow..and it was fine...a really good size...little lounge area..everything
In that case Haz... you need an oustide stateroom with balcony !!
Haz - I'm just the same as your hubby. (Well, not the same. I'm female for starters. But you know what I mean. LOL)
Yes, do a report, rolin so that the rest of us can hear about it.
jac...how do i become a member..id love to write it up
Outside stateroom with balcony sounds good. He can sleep out there when the snoring gets too much.
Haz's was brilliant !
Nice one, Haz!
lol..haz...i always sleep in ear plugs..
My ear plugs are strategically placed beside the bed...
rolin - just go to the site and join up, as I recall.
We are thinking of doing a Canadian Cruise I want to do the cruise from Australia to Japan
Excuse me for asking but, do you reaaly use ear plugs ?
Can't wear ear plugs except if the snoring is dire. I seem to get ear infections if I wear them too often. Also feel 'deaf' for the day.
Absolutely, Karys. I have soft, mouldable ones. They're great.
I wonder ....., are these available at the chemist ?
Karys - earplugs are essential for the health of many relationships.
I put them in when the decibel level rises to uncomfortable proportions. I sent away for the ones I have.
Karys - They are. Boots.
just a moment ....i'm just going out of the door !!!
There is a new anti snoring thing that goes on your ring finger these days
boooo wheres the how to on this thnig
See Karys hot-footing it to Boots....
herin - nose rings, nose patches, throat sprays etc., don't work.
Theres a thing above the chat called help.
Just above you xitry - see the Help
Was that Karys that just whizzed out?
See Help above the chat log.
morning babbleland
ty
Jac I found a cold hand on a bare chest and a shove quietens him down.
Hello, Dorens.
HI Doreens
Hi Dorens!

Dorens even
Good morning Dorens.

No...it's not just him, the slightest thing wakes me
Good for you, rolin. It's not that we're nosy or anything.
herin - that tactic ... and the knee in the backside one... just serves to change his tune. LOL
i've misssed you all... and jonesing for babble (got in lasst night from france)
Hi Dorens
rolin - Good. We'll look forward to reading all about it.
Welcome back, Dorens.

Bye rolin - have a good time at the bowling.
ooooo dear....I'm getting all fired up for a holiday now !!

maybe i'll try to get it on babanon, haven't done that yet.. will have to check it out. (i only gained five pounds herein, did lots of walking fortunately)
I, too, had better go. Tum tells me it's lunchtime and then I have half a forest to cut up and put into bags. (Paul pruned 'a few' overhanging branches that come over from neighbour's gardens and now I can't see the lawn for branches and leaves!):( BBL
Night/day Jac
corfu... i'd love to go there sometime. looking forward to it is almost as good as doing it too

Satisfying that job, Jac

Karys - Yes. Chopping things up IS fun.;) See you all later.xx
we had quite a thunderstorm while i was gone, my driveway looks like someone pruned.. i have a job to do out there
We spent a holiday in Corfu, many years ago. So many that Kavos, now the haunt of the young and the restless, was just a small village.
hi jean
That is the main problem with holidays I have found. I really look forward to having them and then they're gone.
Dorens how long were you gone for?
Still, you've got your memories and the credit card bill to comfort you.
Right after all that I too also have to go didnt realise the time, Happy Babbling everyone:)
yes, karys, that's sort of how i'm feeling now. ten days infer
We go to Kassiopi Haz.... it is one of my favourite places, not too big and not too small with lots of lovely restaurants.
Bye Jean
cluez for the u's plz
Nice Dorens. Do you think im rude if i use bad words at the house mate if he doesnt shut up whilst watching ER?
things are so much more epensive in paris now... spent three days there before coming back home and i could barely afford a cup of coffee!
clue for pr 6/21
I have never been to Paris !!
I remember visiting Kassiopi. My memories of Corfu include the heat, the biggest tomatoes I've ever seen, and the struggle with morning sickness (I was pregnant with daughter number 1). Boat trips were an extra hazard I should have done without.
Not the best then Haz !!
my favorite city in the world... such beauty, the architecture, art... i just walk and walk and walk (of course i wasn't prepared for the cold weather there)
MM - both u6.24 (same 1st 2 letters)
I have never been out side of Australia too expensive
no herein, you can use whatever words you want at the housemate as far as I'm concerned
We went on a boat trip to Paxos and Anti-Paxos - it turned pretty rough. I was not alone in feeling ill.
It is on the list of things to do, as is Prague and Salzburg.
it's good to have a list of things to do-- and even better if you can get to some of them now and then
Paris is well worth visiting.
We take out a little boat for the day Haz, and pull in to a nice little taverva for lunch.
ty lynxxx
the barge in burgundy went at 4 miles an hour... couldnd't get seasick from that
He went to bed and my boy is quite. Thats what i do write a list or read the papers for trips i want to do
That sounds great, Karys, it'll not be quite so hot in September.
Having a lot of trouble with keyboard it seems, sorry.
No, I can't do 'too hot' these days...lol
this is the first time i've been away from babble for ten days... it is taking a bit of getting used to it... slower than usual for me
Well, after all this talk of travel, I'd better stir myself and get the dog moving. No great sunshine, but at least it's not raining. Back later!
Greenbay - there is no pr6.21
Bye for now.
see you later :)
Ok Haz
bye haz
Bye Haz

And that's just the babblers.
Back for a tea break. Half the branch cutting-up is done and I have blisters on my 2nd & 3rd right hand fingers... just where they need to rest on my 'mouse'.
This is turning into a casualty department. Atalante with her back, now Jacula with her fingers....
I must be a 'softie'... blisters and all that... LOL
oh ouch Jacula
Mrp .... Feather recovering ...
Don't forget the 2 blue stitches in the tip of my schnozz, Haz!
That's right! When do you get rid of them?
Thursday at 4.15pm, Haz., and I'm counting the minutes.
Good morning everyone!
Hi, Scrabbs.
blue! not fair! why did I get normal icky black ones?
And woe betide anybody taking too long ahead of you!
Hello Scrabbler.
morning Scrabbler
Casualties, huh? I have a healing wound on my foot from a leech attack sustained during vacation. I returned home last evening.
Do they have different colours for different places?
What's Ata done to her back?
anyone here NOT ill?
Ouch, Scrabbs!
Leeches? Just what we need for the diet...
depends if you ask Haz or not, Jac
Well, they had a nice buffet with my blood.
DIdn't you hear, Jacula? She said she had to get a blob removed, I read it as boob. The mind boggled.
good morning everyone
LOL, HAzel!!!!
The blob was on her back, hence the boggling.
Haz - I imagine the 'catgut' (nylon now, I assume?) comes in different colours for different thicknesses?
i have to have my tooth ripped out, can i join in the wounded section?
Hi Wyrd
Yuck, Wyrd
oh my, Ankorite has just seen the DRESS. She says the following: Also, forgive my ignorant-Yank questions — I know what an Irish traveller is. But I'm confused by the skin color. Are they actually Romany? Is that their real color? Or is that orange-tan some weird fashion thing they are affecting? Do your travellers there still do fortune-telling? Ours generally just do home-repair scams.
failed root canal!
That is true, Jacula.
It probably does, Jacula, you're right.
Wyrd - I had the very same thing about 2 months ago. You have my sympathies!
seems like a lot of money flushed down the toilet doesnt it Jacula
Oh, no, Wyrd---how did that happen?
I'll leave Haz to answer those questions, Ata.
Wyrd may join the queue for the dental section. Did I tell you that on my last visit to the dentist, he announced that I have a wisdom tooth erupting?!
they missed a teensy bit of root, most people have one or two roots, i have 4 or 5
Haha, Hazel! Why in later adulthood?
oh my gosh Haz! i still have one of those too unfortunately
Ata - Hope your now 'boobless' back heals well. When does biopsy result come back? Mine's in 3 (nearly 2) weeks'.
i asked the dentist if i should have it removed, she said: at your age, i dont recommend it
I've no idea, Scrabbler - he said it was unusual!
"within a month", Jac. Helpful, eh?
Hazel, while on vacation I heard a family speaking with an accent. I asked where they were from----> Scotland! They didn't know Hazel, Chief of Babble Police however.
Wyrd - A bit of root still left in my gum after recent extraction. Dentist said to 'Hoick it out if if floats to the surface'. 8(
pu
i thought the root just sits there and rots and infects your bone and everything
They didn't know me? I'll have to launch a pr5/16. Not the alien kind.
this isnt good breakfast conversation is it :)
What stinks, bichon?
em 4 please
I've been having this weird problem. I type something into the Lickety Add, it flashes blue and then appears in the Chat log?
haz, look down the log :) any answers for Ankh? I thought I'd let the font of all knowledge say something!
Buttonman, add the initials of Old Blue Eyes, the Rat Packer.
eros
I thought for sure they would know you, Hazel. They must live in a bubble.
oops, sorry
Give me a word I need please, Buttonman
Poor souls.
The first up6 please?
up+ a beautiful flower
up + flower
Hazel, they have 2 adolescent boys that go to school in London. They were a very nice family.
did they come from Stranraer?
TY Nono & Kris
Oh well, tea's finished - I'd better get back out into the garden before the weather breaks. Healing vibes to all in Babble ER. TTFN. xx
yw
still don't get the clue for the em 4
I didn't ask where they were from, Ata.
bye Jac!
Morning, Babble addicts.
Okay, re the Irish travellers, the skin tone owes nothing to Romany heritage but to a strange addiction to the tanning shop. If it's brown, it's good. If it sparkles, it's good. If it's tasteless, tacky and over the top, it's highly desirable. This goes for clothes, jewellery, cars and hairstyles.
Bye Jacula
Hi Judi
Buttonman, the initials of the man who sang 'I did it my way' - add to em.
Oddly similar to New Jersey here in the States, Haz.
hi judi
Sounds like California and Florida too.
Haz, I am not familiar with the singer or the song
I'm pleading the fifth re the States!
woohoo Haz :) *bows to the expert* never thought you'd be known as an Irish traveller expert, did you?
Dear me, let's try something different for em.....
It was not previously on my cv, Atalante...
Are tr6-7-8 related?
yes they are !
yes scrabbler they are
em, the letter of the first name of Mr Roosevelt (second name Delano), finish with a plural letter.
TY, looking now
And Hazel knows US Presidential History too!
thanks HAZ, got it
Bits and pieces, Scrabbler - I wouldn't be able to say which number of president he was!
I couldn't either, Hazel.
i dont think many of us could
Great, Buttonman.
etro
oops, sorry again...whip me with a wet noodle
Here comes al dente linguini, Buttonman!
I have a question
Is it a starter for 10?
Help with to5-6 before "ripped"
My niece has her 18th birthday in a few weeks. Any ideas for suitable presents? What on earth do 18 year old girls like? Apart from expensive cars.
Go ahead, Ata
Money, money and money!
NM on the to5-6---my moneky found them
clothes
get her a gift card for her favorite shop
reput
oops
remute
omg
Atalante, take her shopping, see what she likes, go back later and purchase something that's within your budget.
I can't *sigh* she lives wayyyyy away. Up North. In Leeds!
oh. Leeds. Maybe I should get her a Harvey Nichols voucher so she can go buy something uber trendy
In that case, ask her for a list of suggestions. Since it's her 18th ,perhaps some jewellery? Or make her a lovely drawing?
*worries*. Yes. List of suggestions. I could talk to her mum, couldn't I?
It's terribly difficult, I know, because she may have very different taste from you and girls nowadays aren't always as polite as they used to be...
exactly. luckily this girl is a sweetie, and has very classical, beautiful tastes, if in a modern way
Oh, she sounds perfect. Maybe her parents have some ideas, or she may be collecting something you could add to?
yes, I should talk to her mum. They either money or vouchers or something specific if mum has ideas. TY! I was starting to panic, I want to get her something she'll really like
Or what about one of those experience days? Driving a formula 1 car or a day at a spa.
Cash. It's always the right color and size.
The only problem with cash is that you advertise how much you have spent - but I agree, that may be the easiest solution.
the first ro6 please?
Jewelry is always a safe bet as well.
Definitely, Judi! but the rest of my family always give those kids cash (niece and her younger sister and brother), and I always like at least trying to get them something different. Cos I'm the nearest to them in age, and utterly trendy cos I lived in London (apparently!) etc etc
ro6 - clued previously as resembling the structure of a space missile, differing in only one letter.
TY, Hazel!
I got my niece a pearl necklace - not a traditional one but one of those that are spaced out on clear wire. She loved it!
We know that you are utterly trendy, Ata!!
I've always thought of you as being really trendy, Atlante. Is it the London effect?
Well, shopping is always more fun, I'd have to agree. Oh dear, now I have to add trendy to my bio so that we can still be doubles.
I be not trendy now, living in the counryside and spending my toime with a spaniel
You can't just add trendy to your bio, Judi, you have to do the shopping as well.
<Pokes head in> Don't mind me butting in, but I think some elegant, classy kind of jewellery; something she can keep her whole life and be proud of.
You are now beyond trends, Ata, like me. I observe trends and pride myself on ignoring most.
The worst thing is when your daughters say 'You're not going out in that?'
Hi NancyBoy! How are you doing?
me too, scrabs :)
Hello Nancy Boy! - good to hear your views!
Trendy knows no geographical bounds. I like some trendy things. I usually go for classic with an occasional quirky trend.
Oh boy have I heard that one Haz
Eclectic. I love the term eclectic. It covers a multitude of sins.
I'm blooming thanks, Scrabs :) and your lovely self? And Haz, just what have you been wearing to shock your daughters? :)
easy to do in Brighton, Nancy :) not quite so easy in Whitstable where trendy is sou'westers and welly boots. LOL
Yes, Hazel
Isn't it awful, JFB? It's my footwear they go for mostly, just because I like comfort.
the te 5/6 combo, please
Oh Ata, one day I'm just going to buy myself some kind of fancy dress costume, walk along the streets and see if anyone notices :/
I doubt it!
Haha, NB!!
te5 - the lesser spotted/vowelled native American tent.
I'm just waiting til she gets past the 'fashion is all stage' and into 'my comfort is all' stage!
Lol, NB! Just tell eveyone that you are Brittany Spears!
Haz, I have that, it's the two after the ivories in your mouth
Lasyt summer my friend and I were making a video with me starring as Sister Mary Pediatrica, a nun that is also a pediatrician and a golf pro. We filmed in local parks and got lots of looks!
When I'm looking at shoes, if I can imagine my mother or someone older wearing them , then I have to leave them alone.
LOL, Judi! Not being funny, but I don't have the goods to pull -that- one off :)
bichon, te5/12 - it has one less vowel that te6/21 and te7/32, but means the same, I think.
mornin babblers!!
hi EvaNadine
Hello EvaNadine!
Morning, Eva!
I bought a pair of boots last winter and she described them as 'worryingly trendy' Haz
how is everyone today?
Well, that's a compliment, at least!
I knew there was a reason to have a spaniel rather than kids
I am trying to finish this grid before work
My rule with footwear is "no pain, no gain." If your feet aren't bleeding after dancing all night, then you aren't working hard enough : D
It depends who you ask, Eva - I'm fine!
Ouch, NB!
I'm just glad we don't take the same size!!
You'll rue the day when the chiropodist looks at your feet, draws in breath, and starts to shake his head, NBOy!
Think of me, Atalante, I have both!
Hmm. Reminds me of the book Steve Martin wrote... "The Cruel Shoes".
LOL, Haz. When I'm twice the age I am now, I may have to cut them off :/ <looks at shoe collections> Ah well, bye bye feet...
I suppose even spaniels can look disapproving
thanks Haz
Having gone through winkle pickers, stilettos, platforms etc,etc is a miracle my age group can walk!
Spaniels can chew what they don't approve of.
ive got 2 fabu pairs of stillettos that i never wear because they KILL my feet... :-/
Winkle pickers????
thank you for asking, Judi, I'm with you. Winkle pickers???
Loooooong toes, Judi.
Don't you start Judi - have enough of that from my kids! lol
does that mean Hobbit didnt approve of the plastic dish with the remains of bread andbutter pudding in ...
As worn in the 1950's by Teddy boys etc.
*whispers to etothepii* Must be a Brit thing.
Teddy Boys?
Hobbit was just carrying out random testing to see if she ddid approve or not.
I think she ended up approving. The remains of the pudding certainly vanished, anyway
"nudges Judi" must be... do they grow their toes longer? something in the water?
Teddy Boys, because they resembled Edwardian youths in their dress, long jackets, drainpipe trousers, shoes with long, narrow toes. The female equivalent wore swirly dresses and stilettos with long toes.
Actually I notice a lot of winkle picker type shoes being worn now my feet ache just looking at them!
Sounds like Madonna wear.
Sounds like the shoes they always push on What Not to Wear
but "winkle picker"?
clue for re 8/55
what a Doctor who makes a mistake will do.
This pointed toe was called the winkle picker toe because, in England, winkles are eaten with a pin or pointed object to get the winkle out of the shell (hence the term "to winkle something out").
or dentist
or dentist
what on earth is a winkle???? I'm learning so much today!
My icon illustrates a winkle picker shoe.
So, a winkle is like a cockle?
thats a totally british thing...heh
Winkles are types of shell fish, like cockles.
Oooh! Points for me for guessing right. Like eensy weensy clams, e2pi.
clue for re 8/55
as an extreme version: http://tinyurl.com/yqx73y

Cheetos are yummy. The orange color stays with you on your fingers for too long though.
no the best part is after eating snacking lol
they are just wonderfully artificial. sometimes such thinhgs are necessary
Do you have Goldfish crackers, Ata?
occasionally. they aren't everywhere like in the States though
Hmm. Goldfish are slightly better for you - baked not ried. You could just sprinkle Kraft Mac & Cheese powder on cellulose packing peanuts and have nearly the same as Cheetos.
lmao true! :)
Actually, the Chinese have probably already beaten me to that idea. They are becoming rather notorious for their "substitution" ingredients.
May I please have a clue for the Ou ?
some things certainly taste like packing peanuts
ou5: one up
cheetos ou*** fritos in the amount of artificiality in them
opposite don't

the patches worked for me back in 1992-3. I had to take the patch off at night, since I could not sleep with nicotine added at night. One morning 9about the 6th or 7th week) I forgot to put a patch on in the morning and got through that day and all since then
I knew someone would ask!! Its a chronic chest condition that restricts his breathing

well, I'm meeting a friend for lunch, so I'm off... I'll work on the po4/6 on the way there!
I bet I could do a limerick, though...
omg! nutria was just mentioned in University Challenge!
Try it on the friend, see if you get strange looks. A limerick would count.
Is Jeremy growling yet?
he wasn't impressed that no-one knew what a nutria was
do hollanders mark their calendars wearing a colllander
I love how much surlier he can be than Bamber Gascoigne whose smile never wavered.
How many colanders does it take to cover a Hollander?
mmm yes. I think he's wonderful
And the disgust when they say something really stupid - no poker face for him!
PHone..
mind you, I dont even remember Bamber Gascoigne :P
You're so young!
Bamber was the original host, a very clever and tolerant man, who smiled continually even when admonishing students for conferring when they shouldn't etc. Jeremy just gives it a different feeling.
what is university challenge?
Jeremy is just wonderfully condescending and chiding
HE7,36
University Challenge has been running for many years - a contest between all the universities in UK. The teams are 4 members and they participate in a knock-out tournament.
its a quiz show for intelligent people
clue to the other ro 6/24
he 7 --- with it: he* and form of sugar: fruc****
There are starter questions which have to be answered by individuals. That opens the opportunity to the specialist questions when the team can confer.
and the specialist questions are things like "South American insects" or "Sailors of the 1760s"
Specialist rounds can range from quantum physics to music to poetry to you name it.

and the host is so generous as to belittle the participants?
ou5/14 plz?
It's when they give outrageously wrong answers to what he considers easy questions that he gets indignant.
ou 5 -- to perform better than another
He does acknowledge when they have done well, so it balances it out.
jeremy paxman is ... well known for chivvying everyone, from university students to Tony Blair

He once posed the same question 14 times to a politician who seemed to be avoiding giving a direct answer.
people either love him or hate him
I know which camp Michael Howard is in!

That was discouraging! Did you feel let down?

I will simply say, talk all you want ... but then plant yourself in front of the camera and see how will do.
my friends and I from school ended up in the national finals of some school sciences quiz when I was 11 or 12. We were so proud of ourselves, then in the final, we were the only girls, and nearly every question was about steam engines and *boy* things. we were not amusing

feather gave birth less than 24 hours ago and she's back on babble already, wow.
She's dedicated Hurshy...
thats addiction for you!
that is the sign of a true Babble addict lol
giving birth is the easy bit... raising them is hell on wheels!
...or seriously addicted!
hahahaha so true Mrp
I had 3 of my 7 grandkids over the week-end and I am worn out I tell you what!
it totally pisses me off the amount of parents that cant handle their kids, and palm them off to boarding schools to raise them... unbelievable!
some kids *want* to go to boarding school!
7 grandchildren! fantastic
or have them then abandom them to the grandparents to raise, there is a lot of that going on in the US
yes meli... it is happening here way too much too... it is despicable
uhoh funder!
vewy WOUD funder
yes some kids would rather be at boarding school than at home, because their home lives are so horrible
I had a lovely home life, and I still wanted to go to boarding school!
ata, my brother was palmed off to boarding school... we all think it was the best thing that happened to him so I agree with you there. He was in a better position emotionally.
I think boarding school can be very good, but I do agree that some people just get rid of their kids there, and thats awful
well yes most kids do enjoy it, its just sad the ones that get dumped there because their parents are too busy with their social lives to raise their children themselves
my best friend is palming her only child off to boarding school, so she can live overseas and build her island business. I asked her to reconsider and give Diana over to us to raise with our children... but she insists that a boarding school is best ... it will destroy that child
oh yes, I agree, mel
boarding school can be the making or breaking of a child
how awful to know that your parents do not want you around I just could not imagine such a thing
most of the kids where i worked, their parents missed them a lot, and the kids knew it.
it was like any other school - if there was an announcement at lunch, "so-and-so, call your mother", everyone would go awwww and the kid was embarrassed
I just dont know if I could of done it even if we could of afforded it, I cried when my kids went to summer camp and that was only 2 weeks a summer LOL
It's not so bad
seems to me there are probably plenty of kids in public school whose parents don't want them around but just can't afford to get rid of them
Screws you up through your teens and early twenties, but you get over it and adjust
oh yes for sure Hurshy
I would never ever send my kids away... not for money or anything. They are my life and I am their everything!
I *loved* boarding school, I couldnt wait to go, but I was always an independent little brat
I would like to send other people's kids away, but the laws kinda frown on that ;)
me too mrp, grandkids too
i wouldn't be able to stand sending my cats to boarding school either
lol abmoraz
lol AB and Hurshy and yes I agree Mrp
hello everyone!! how are you today mr pressie?
hello everyone!! how are you today mr pressie?
Hi too
hi pink, and all
I'm one of those weird people that don't like kids... period. Until they reach about 12 or 13, I don't want to see, hear, or talk to/about them.
is it just me or is this a really horrid grid?
hi pink! am happily chatting away this morning! drugs are working well thanks :))
how is boarding school different than college? I imagine you're going to give answers like, "by 18 kids are better able to adjust" and 18 is as arbitrary an age as 12
I'm stuck with 44 left. lots of big ones, too :(
when my kids go to university, they will still be living at home... there is no reason for them to move away from their family to get a good education.
I'm definitely going to end up one of those senile old men with 4 hounds and a shot gun yealling at the neighborhood brats to get off my lawn
i shall live next door to you and be the crazy cat lady, abmoraz
isnt half the point of uni for the kids to get away and learn to be independent?
only if my dogs can eat your cats
im very glad to that hear mr p you were really missed on here, i often think of you and what your going through and how hard it must be for you all. I hope you continue to feel happy :)
Mr Pres that is really sweet of you to offer your home to your friends child. My friend ended up in boarding school cause her dad was working for her future (overseas) and she couldnt live with her mum as she had a scholarship for that school. She did wonderfully at school and is studying to be a brain doctor. But depending on the child is best. I would have loved boarding school. My parents drove me mental at 13
(((((((((((herin))))))))))
I already have a crazy cat lady next door to me now and her cats keep getting into my garbage cans
(((((pink))))))))))
my cats are indoor cats, so, they would not do that.
Ab nice to see you here.
hi
see, that is something I don't get... my friend is working overseas for her daughter's future... she wants her daughter to have the business. What if her daughter wants to be a brain surgeon? She just said "NO, my daughter will do what I tell her to do and that is that."
she sounds like a peach.
Isn't that why people have kids? To live out the parents' life goals?
that's why I don't have and never will have kids. I don't have any life dreams ;)
what if your children want to go away to college? are you going to choose for them like your friend is doing with the business?
I would rather be poor and happy than never have seen my parents except on holidays
isnt that the same as making them stay at home for uni though?
wow abmoraz, same here!!!
I see my parents 2-3 times a year. It's been almost 2 years since I saw my brother outside of funerals
anyone need any clues I need to go start dinner soon
im off again, bed time for me now so i bid you all a goodnight/good day byeee!!
My friend is the opposite she was like 'I will be a brain surgeon' to be fair to the father he left her at boarding school when she was in year 11 and 12 and i think that compulsory time in year 9 . Most of the time she lived at home (alone or with dad) or with her sister.
she is pretty stupid to think that her daughter will do what she wants her to do... and yes, she is looking to have her child live out her life... She was a body builder... she told me that as soon as diana turns 13, she is going to make her bodybuild too. I told her to shut up and suck it in... that her daughter was not put on this earth to live her life
bye pink :))
to quote ross, "there are plenty of people who only see their college roommates at reunions, and who only see joey at burger king"
Mr Pres thwap this person upside the head and also say to her 'what does Diana want? she is of the age were she is getting old enough to decide.'
Bye Pink
P.S Mr Pres any extra child that wants to live with you is so lucky as you are so lovely and have a beautiful family
thank you infern :)

My teachers always said I could be anything i wanted to be, so i said "I want to be a mom." and that ended that line of BS pretty quickly

Jacula, the one to hit again?
That's the one, Mom.
I couldn't believe that was a word
Mr PRes Lickety is so sweet.
Mom - it normally starts 'be' and is too do with 1940s US jazz music.

Congratulations Bubba
Well done, bubba.

Hello, all.
hello jellen
Hi Jellen :)
ty, Nonnie, I needed the be5/14
(And there was me laughing earlier when I saw Stidmama try to say she hoped someone HADN'T been offended and end up typing 'I hope you were offended'. That's justice on me.

Hi, Kerry
ouch! you having pain too. stidmama is a classic!
hurricane season already?
Hi Kerry, I heard there was one near you
Looks like it
stay safe kerry!
be5/14 seems to have caused many people problems today. If a young lover becomes infatuated with someone they can be said to be be****ed.
hopefully, the waters will cool it down so it won't be as strong
and my sister is coming in on Wednesday... never been here... great introduction... hope it's passed by then!
nan, be + a drunk
Thanks Nonnie
The word once also meant to inebriate (make drunk).
always try to... just never know what's gonna fly.... literally!
ty nonnie
yw nan

pr5/14 please
fr be my friend but first take me out and then change the one hump to two
Please help, I am still not understanding the be 5/14
oops, that should be fr =, not fr +
fr5/20 was in yesterday's grid, I think. Think of a 'pal' (like Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Joey or Phoebe) and change the middle bit.
ty nonnie
Mom - be5/15 = anagram of 'o! best!'
what is the second ro 6/24

Merci beaucoup for the felicitations.;)

ou 5 Not in +you can ** it!

Nonnie - Love your icon! Just pinched it to add to my funny pics.
Erilar?
I need to scoot off and get the laundry in the dryer. Bye for now. Thank you for all the help Jacula
Hi, artlady. What was that?
Bye, Mom

Artlady - whose name is Erilar? I think I may have missed something.
ty
Hi, meliae. I'm just done, thanks. Plenty of others needing help though.
Art - Just scrolled back. I see it's your Mum.
The ro & ros are killers today
oops re & ro's lol
Yes, she just started playing last week. I think she's hooked!
understandable, artlady! :o)
Art - how could you do that to your own mother?? LOL
*snicker, snickerI*
It took me 2 years to get her going, though. She used to have dial-up.
Was that the 'snicker' of an evil daughter 'getting her own back' for something?
Does the 'evil daughter' want to field mumsy phonecalls during her own Babbling?
No, of COURSE not! She just needs another hobby...actually, she's plenty busy!
Don't answer that! Archives may be read. LOL
I have to run...take care all and hope to see you later.
'Bye, Nonnie.
We used to play Boggle together, so I knew she'd like it, once her internet was faster.
back again with 5 left
any help with the em4...please... feel stupid, but just can't see it
ro 6/24 following dresses?
My Mum's just gone onto dialup, Art. I'll get her in here once she decides to go for broadband.
HaH! This is depressing--just like playing Boggle with you and Brad!
It's addicitive, isn't it!
Allo, ,Mutti!!!
em4 = em + Freddie Starr (initials)
Hi, Erilar!
lol! I was just talking about you!
Hello, art's Mum. Welcome to the madhouse!

Ja, manchmal.

Meant Jane Eyre! Bronte. Sorry.
aaah, well Feind hört mit

be5 - be + three letter word for drunk
I think we should be able to count German words. There are lots of them!!
doxy... from the netherlands
2 t's left -- the 5-6 combo
du 5 is the preson who does the du 4
be5/14 be + drunkard
be 5/14 to be in love with someone kind of an old world word, they would say he is be***ed with her (in love)
du5 (last one) = person from The Netherlands (Holland).
Did I mention that I spent 3 hours at the dentist's this am?
cyber - OW! Why?
thanks kerry

Congratulations, nan!!
Mim alt spelling of the joint at waist + coma**** (deep sleep)

There's me with my stitches in my nose and my blistered fingers, Ata with the 'blob' (that Haz read as 'boob' and so got confused) removed from her back, MrP just home from hospital, feather just given birth (at last! Hallelujah!), Wyrd with a molar removed, Herin with a bad back....
Congrats, nan. 151 to go here...
Me with doctor's appointment Wedesday....might have to add me!
Hope not!
I've got a knee giving me fits. swollen, pain and dr. says nothing is wrong with it
and my fibrymyalgia is killing me today after chasing grandkids all week-end, we need a nurse!
I'm going to a different dr. soon. getting second opinion.
Thank you Cybernan and Meliae, guess I needed it spelt out for me : D now just 119 more to go ( sighs)
The ER room's well stocked with goodies, Art, but we'd rather you were a visitor than another patient.
or a drink
I am one.
no sick room for me just 3 procedures at once: -- cleaning & checkup, one tooth lengthened and braces adjusted.
recovering from viral infection... :)
my smile is getting more perfect every week -- getting to be quite exciting!
Blooming heck! We ARE a sickly lot! I think we need a Babble gym and Babble 'outdoor' days. LOL
Can I add my allegies/sinus issues due to the heat and humidity here, to the Babble sick room?
check that I meant allergies ...
cyber - How is a tooth lengthened? I hesitate to ask this, not sure of wanting the answer...
I prescribe hot toddies and chocolate muffins all round!
Good luck, nan. My dentist wants me to do Invisalign, but I figure 52 years with these teeth is ok and I don't have the $$$$!
I think we all need chocolate!!!!! ~hands out piles of chocolate to everyone
Much like a cap Jacula -- they just build it up with a porcelain mix
I visited my friendly local torturer (aka chiropractor) this morning and he fixed something I thought was a bruise.
Sunny, it's too hot here for hot toddies...can mine be cold?
where are out doctors when we need them like Scrabbler, Bubba, who else?
How was the wedding?
how about a LOng Island Iced Tea?
Ha! Mine are still there after 73 years--although with some filings here and there.
Chocolate is good very very good for the sinuses I hear ; P thank you Meliae!
If you're asking me--looonnnnng story!
Ah, not for the log, then. I'll call you tomorrow.
Chocolate is good for everything!
fr5/20?
If you're talking to me, artlady, the wedding is this coming weekend in Vancouver. Just saw our daughter and her family out the door this morning and our eldest son and family arrive tomorrow before we all head down to the coast on Wednesday.
Especially dark German chocolate!!
German word for strange of foreign, doxy
You speak the truth there artlady.
Have a good time, Nan. My mother just went to a wedding this weekend, too.
Erilar, that was what I was raised on, good dark German chocolate.... Yum!!!
funny word doxy... rhymes with word for pal...but with double hump
funny word doxy... rhymes with word for pal...but with double hump
Now I'm hungry. Going to forage. brb
clue for tr8?
got it thanks
Babble Camp, that's the answer (except that it would be held in USA and most of us 'foreigners' couldn't afford to go). Imagine the fun some 'reality TV' team would have filming us lot!
I love Ritter Sport!
lol, Jac!
plural of the tr 7 -- both based on the tr 6
Kerry - tr8 is actors etc. (group of)
thanks, I needed that too.
got it... was going the wrong way!
Erilar - click on my icon and scroll down my bio to see 3 shocking films of the wedding (THAT DRESS!) of some Irish 'travellers'.
LOl Jac!
fu9?
Art - Have you seen THAT DRESS (first of my flickr pics) and the videos?
Mutti, it is a great clip! Didn't I tell you about it when I was there?
Yes, Jac, great!
No fu9, doxy.
fu4/9 (sorry)
Art - have you also watched the buffalo vs lions vs crocs Africa clip?
fu 4/9: think of smells as in noxious fu***
Not yet, Jac. Thanks.
fu4/9 is to be furious (or makes noxious smoke).
got it thanks, pass the fish
better go and make some beds now that the laundry is done --- back at the flip :)
by enan
bye nan
Art - you need almost 10 mins to spare for the Africa clip so I suggest that, if you haven't done so already, you add me to your 'My Friends' list so that you can watch it when it suits you to, even if I'm not on line.
'Bye, nan. See you later.
That's a dress? It's insane!!!
Thanks, Jac. All taken care of. I stillh ave 129 words to find, so I'd better watch it later!
its a DRESS. not a dress LOL
Erilar - THAT DRESS (as we call it here) weighed 200lbs and was 40 feet round.
I believe it! Why on EARTH would anyone want to wear such a horror??
Hi, Ata, she of the black stitches who envies my blue ones. LOL
yes! damn you! how dare you have pretty coloured stitches!
Erilar - Don't know. I think she had a dream and, looking into her eyes on the film, the reality was somewhat difficult.
mu5/18?
Ata - my 'pretty' stitches are very visible... no one can see yours unless you go topless/backless or use a mirror to view the scar yourself.
doxy - mu5/18 rhymes with a home for a domestic rabbit.
lol I know, its very annoying
Jac, did you get to pick the color of your stitches?
thanks jac.
I had blue stitches! hurt like hell getting them out... all 13cm
Thanks Jac I need that one as well : )
Hey, Mr P!! How's things?
I have 7cm of BLACK stitches to come out on thursday
Jellen - No! The colour, I think, and Scrabbs, who is a medico , confirmed this, is determined by the thickness of the nylon for sutures.
ouch for you ata! have they been in long?
no thank goodness! just last tuesday
MrP - light blue or dark blue? (Getting worried now!) My stitched are really thin stuff like you'd use on a hem.
mine were in for over 2 weeks... so some of them 'grew' into me... not pretty!
ow yes!
light blue jac... very fine nylon
the things you learn on babble chat! Amazing!
I think the black ones then must be thicker, sewing backs back together stitches!
This is so weird. I keep making up words and getting points for them!
Oh no! Same here, MrP. Hurt?? The one nurse I didn't want to get (because she hurts you doing everything) range me today to ask me to go in to see her 2 hours earlier than appointed on Thursday coming.
clue for first up/6 anyone?
the light blue is used to keep the scarring very fine
Erilar - That's Babble.
you have boggle experience, taht
s why
Kerry - up + flower of love.
Erilar, that's monkey typing at its finest.
ty Jac
In Boggle we have great arguments about words we make up, though!
y/w, Keri. The other 'up' is to rip up again.
Erilar, here I thought I was the only one doing that. Glad to know its not so : D
we argue with Dr. God,s choice of dictionary
I take it that you don't play Boggle at weboggle shackworks? There is a community there but it's not attached to the grid.
I've only played it live with family--and a dictionary handy!
got it Jac... down to 18 :-)
How many games did you win????? ;-)
pe5, last one?
MrP - Surely having those thin blue sutures out couldn't hurt more than the needle (to numb it) in the end of my nose? (Still prefer experienced that short pain to childbirth though! LOL)
ME? none when you and Brad play 8-(
I am going to go scrounge for food... perhaps there is a used teabag I can resucitate... back soon
pe5= domestic animal + not from but **
doxy - pe5 = domestic animal + to go **wards somehing.
thanks, got it
the "re's" are going to kill me....
well jac, I had to breath like a race horse getting mine out... they were really long! only vomited a little
Now I AM worried! MrP's gone off for sustenance before she answers me about the pain of thin blue stitch removal. LOL
never fear, the nut is here!
hey hey, 'nut!
hi nut
hi, nut!
nut !! **kisses and hugs**
mrp!!! (hugs and kisses)
MrP - PHEW! Mine aren't too long. How long can stitches be in one's septum?
Hiya, nut.
I just read "Metro Girl," by Janet!
cute book art lady..but not stephanie
Jac, depends on the septum....
hey count jacula
yes, but very funny. I actually laughed out loud--which I don't usually do when reading.
when did you have them put in, Jac?
Art - I only have a tiny nose.
nascar guy is cute
Jac, then it can't be bad! My problem is, my nose is so sensitive I'd sneeze all over the place when they were taken out.
Ata - last Thursday.
'nut, yes, he is. Now I have to read #8.
oh, it'll be fine then
#8 what series???
I've been so tempted to remove them myself... especially when I was doing some sewing (mending and alterations) day before yesterday and had my stitch ripper in my hand...
Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum mysteries.
you evanovich addict! erilar...janet evanovich
lol, Jac!
if I could get to mine, I'd probably remove them myself!
Too contemporary for you, Mutti!;-)
Oh, I've only read 1,2,3
We have a couple of seam rippers handy, Ata.
For something REALLY different: Emma Bull's _Territory_
and you stopped erilar? isn't that a sin or something?
pr5/14?
I removed the stitches from my tongue some years ago (another mysterious lump that turned out to be nothing) and I also removed some of those so-called 'dissolvable' stitches from my perineum after childbirth. But that's too much info. LOL
I KNEW you'd sneak that in!!!
mine are between my shoulder blades though - *impossible* to fiddle with!
I haven't stopped; I just started recently.
You must be limber, Jac...
I think this is more fun that filling in the list 8-)
ok, acceptable excuse erilar
Ata - shall I come and take them out for you?
Than, not that filling in...
course it is erilar, this is why people keep coming back
yes please! they itch!
You've got it now, Erilar. *grins*
Tell me about it, Ata!
Itching means healing though. Pain means infection. Good then that we are both itchy.
I can't think of more words to make up, so I'm going back to my current book!
Whew! Just got hubby on the phone at the store to get my Ben and Jerry's New York Super Fudge Chunk....still on the chocolate strand here...
Tschuess, Mutti!
sounds serious artlady...need to talk???
Okay, Erilar. Nice to meet you.
last ro/6 clue... pretty please?
Bye Erilar. Happy reading!
School
nuff said
Oops...School's about to start, 'nut, and I won't have time to Babble as much... ;-(
remember, if you need questions answered artlady, dr nut is still accepting questions
Last ro6 = French road (sort of) + domestic animal. Otherwise think of Ru**** The Bear (character in children's books in 60s).
ro6/24 pr + 5th vowel + domestic animal
Nut - Did you do anything we the 'do pens poo?' question?
Thanks, Doc!
i have it recorded jac...soon as i get time to record it is in.

I think that would be a great idea, 'nut!
i've been known to have one or two
Have you got my e mail addy, nut or shall I send it you through zoom?
better send it to me through zoom, don't think i've ever mailed you before have i?
Interview me? EEK! Okay, but I'm going to be like a proper celeb and demand a list of the questions beforehand.
NO, impromptu is so much better!
ummm...*crosses fingers* - - - sure thing.
Nut - Don't think you have mailed me, no. Me and ren talk on MSN but I don't have that at present on my new pc. till waiting for son to put XP on it... and everything else.
art - shuddup! I don't do impromptu, 'cept on here.
ah....and i stick pretty much with yahoo
jacs, ask for lavender towels, organic freshly squeezed orange juice, tp shelf vodka and only green m & ms!
you sure you don't jac? aren't you a stand up comedian?
But we're all friends! This is a safe place...so's 'nut's 'cast! (enough apostrophes there!)
shuddup owl or i'm comin over there.
Nut - yahoo and MSN joined up some time ago and so we can talk to each other that way. Would have to sign into other half's laptop for that though.
ch7/40 clue, please?
TO - voddie makes me sick (even in minute quantities). I prefer wine to spirits.
a baby chick would be one Jellen

My last book from my latest order from Amazon finally arrived yesterday morn! What on earth had the GPO been doing with it since 4th August? Do they now have a reading library where all parcels that are obviously books get sent??
Well done, TO!
whoooo hooooo TO
well i see our mail man sitting at the end of the road reading magazines....
it's his break!
TO _ I've seen our paper lad reading the sports pages before he posts our paper.
TSK! (I like that word!) What's the world coming to?
LOL
now that's BAD LOL
Damage to newspapers doesn't bother me, damage to pristine new books is another matter entirely!
du5/16
When I was 'in my yoof', some books still arriveed'uncut'.
...and newspapers smelled of print that made you sneeze.
marisa, add another consonant to the end of the du4.7 above it.
ooh, someon is boggling and we won!
thanks lb
any clues for or6/21 please ?
It's all 'lets not aggrvate allergies' these days... no sneezing fits in the soap aisle of the supermarket etc. If there's a world catastrophe, o=how will today's 'yoof' manage?
what does that mean when you type 'or6/21'?
mim, plural the or5
or6/21, Elkiee, means the word is 6 letters long and worth 21 points. Go to the ''Help' above to see why.
Thanks Ibd... head**desk that I didn't see that
elkiee, it means the word starts with or has 6 letters and is worth 21 points. you can go to anglesongs babble page, linked at the bottom for more help
Hi, lbd, btw.
ok, thank you
I went to the help above the chat, but it didn't help me much
but how does she know there is 6 letter word starting with ' or'?
hi jac. i'm multitasking tonight, don't mean to ignore anyone.
Elkee - go to Angelsong' page thenm, as Lbd suggested. (Links in bottom l/h corner of site)
Hi, lbd. Didn't see you ignoring me, LOL, so carry on multi-tasking. I did that all day, too.
However, I do now 'possess' all of the grid words and so can clue or not clue as it pleases me to. LOL
oc7/32 anyone, please ? These O words are giving me fits tonight.
oc7 = group of 8 musicians with a French female ending.
35 left -- gotta go to bridge -- hi and bye -- back after the flip -- good luck to all

Hi & 'bye, jilli.xx
Hi, All!

Well done, maris.
hi, lbd, hi harp!
Still raining out there... not good for daughter's campin out weekend at a music festival.:(
what are you reading, Jac? I finished Harry Potter 7 last night, now I have to find something else!
anna karenina is good
Hi, marisal,
du5.18 please?
fe4/8
not a bad idea hurshy
is he7 a common word?>
harpjane...have you read night?
it's a quick read but good
Kath-someone from the netherlands
only if you're a chemist, harp
i just purchased a book on the oprah book club...gotta check the name of it though, supposed to be good
Harp _ I'm still struggling on with the 2nd of Haz's Aleander Mcoll Smith recommendations. I did '44 Scotland Street' first and am now onto 'Espresso Tales'. Like I said before, they haven't grabbed me, but maybe that's the aftermatch of HP7, which grabs you and hurls you around from page 1 to end.
fe4/8 anyone?
ah, ty bogster
He 7 is not a common word
read a million little pieces...it was good despite the drama behind it
I read Disappearances and loved it. Back to the David Talbot book on the Kennedyss....
ooh ooh ooh you should read "click clack moo, cows that type"
it is HI-larious.
lol hurshy...
followed by the sequel, "giggle giggle quack"
<read that one recently too...good children's book is Esperanza Rising and Becoming Naomi Leon...5th grade level
oh, the oprah book is middlesex
Oooh, she's come undone is really good!
fe4/8 is the fairer sex according to the French.
and the god of small things is good too!
I read Middlesex a few years ago and LOVED it
so what does it say about a person when they have the clue they " get the clue" but still can't get the word? Is that like babble overload or something?
really pam...oooh, i am so exited!!! I am reading Harry Potter 7...have to finish it
that's the story of my babbling, mim--lbd and jac generally are patient enough to help me through those times, LOL
i read Princess too...good quick nonfiction read
Probably, redbeard. What wordd do you seek?
There are others equally helpful....
here's the story... of a lovely lady...
who was bringing up three very lovely cats
Maris - get on with HP7 and eschew Babble immediately!
Also bought "the good earth" another oprah book club
eschew?...what does that mean?
HP7 good?
one of them had fur of gold, one had grey stripes, and one was solid grey
its the oc 7/32 one. I understood your clue but can't make it fit for the life of me. Ack
eschew, forgo, give up, put aside
some people told me they were somewhat disapointed...I am just trying to finish it...been good to me so far
just type it even if you can't see it, mim.
good word...eschew
party of 8 with the puppet ending, marion****, mim
he7?
I have the oc5/12 one and I know thats the first part, its the feminine ending
I'll give you an HP7 taster... Mrs. Weasley (in the midst of battle... which is just thee point my Mother rang me, of course!)...'Not MY daughter, you BITCH!'
hey this thing has spell check now!
fe4/9?

are you sure it's not the mozilla browser, hurshy?
great, mim
thanks lbd, i'll have to use that word in a sentence sometime!
could be, could be
dang, i was hoping everyone had it so people could annoy me less with spelling errors.
ty for the clues
haha
reading hp7 but a lil confused about the R.A.
B. locket
read hp6 a while back so i am all confused
don't spoil hp7 for us holdouts...
marisa, it will be explained in hp7
oh pam....get on with it..what r u waiting for...before long someone is going to spill the beans
what percentage of houses do you suppose have a soundproof room in them? and are they REALLY soundproof?
I am in mozilla, and the spell check is there---but I can ingore it, too, LOL
i read that part just last night with kreacher...but a lil confused still...besides, it was like 4am at the time when I read it...
fr6/27
No one could possibly be dissapointed with the ending of HP7. unless they wanted him to be blasted to hell. JKR, who could just get on with her life having seen and done HP 1-7 won't. She maay have mmade pots of money but she's a born story telller and so it wil go on. Discussing HP7 in ur family came up with 7 to 10 books at he vey least. Or wil she leave it there and go to pastures new? There's enough new HP material in our house for a few more books.
i DOUT jkr HAS LOST THAT.
jac...age?
fr6/27 people who liberate others
ty moon
no problem =)
fr5/20?

FR5/20 = your pal fr* + British doctor's qualification.

the clue is too british for me! <no clue here>
Marisa the age thing was all about suspending belief and believing in fiction.
I was just asking u your age...
is there any chance you could bring a dog into a household of 3 cats who have lived a dogless life for 7 years and not really really upset them?
hursh -the 'yanks' stil l don't get the clue!
does <yanks> mean me?
:-P
well that's cause you make 'em think it's a british thing so they don't think it's something obvious that they know perfectly well which they do
Marisa - if you check my bio you will see that I am 50.
Hursh - Yeah! I love confusing folks.
oh, dont get into the bios and stuff...but okay
that fr 5/20 has appeared before, and still, i forget to look for it, LOl
I got it Jac...but it was before your clue. Does it still count?

fu5/20
marisa, add a hook to the end of the 4, then plural the 5 for the 6
Not tonite. He was on for a little while earlier today, but he doesn't play at his mom's house...to hard for him to get computer time.
fu5/20 is one who fu4s. fu6 is the plural.
fu4 is one who is either very annoyed or makes noxious fumes.
ty jac and lb

But the hour is late... the grid's long gone for we in UK...
kath, he+ letter after O + anagram of the things at the end of your feet

he7 = he (+ 3rd vowel for the most beautiful actress ever, Audry He****. Ending is like comat*** (unreponding).
prefix for seven sided figure and what's at the end of your face minus the first letter
can you cue the fu 4/5 again?
fu4/9 is the word for the smell of airplane glue
obnoxious odors Pam
thanks, lbd and dan--I looked for that and missed the second vowel being relevant...
Heartbeat, on UK tv was funny the other day when 'village dafty' described Leslie Hornby as 'twiglet' and Ms.Jean Shrimpton aas 'the prwan'.

I am outta here. I just heard a huge crash coming from the laundry room. Went in there to find that the huge container of detergent that I keep on a shelf over the washing machine slipped off, bounced off of the washer and then hit the floor. There is detergent EVERYWHERE! Any good cleanup ideas? I got a lot of it up with a squeegee and a dustpan but there is still a great deal everywhere and it is slippery. HELP!
re6/30
aww minski...

no, salt will kill ants
i don't think ants like salt
Don't know. They seem to like everything.
haha. oh.
lol fran...great minds think alike!
cool. I'll try it.
pour an equal amount of salt to liquid detergent (also works well for oil spills
Somebdy told me ants will not cross over a chalk line.
cool thanks everyone.
lol...ants and suger minski...
ants like greasy things, sugar and moisture, the salt shouldn't attract them
ab does salt really kill the ants?
let it sit for a minute or two, then you should be able to shovel the pile up fairly easily
then you can water/rag/mop the little remaining
lol Minveryork...the problem is not ants!!! It's detergent
what letter is the stick letter?
salt not as well as other things
Abmoraz ~ are you a chef or a mechanic? You are very knowlegable about messy spills. THanks for the advice!
ants tend to avoid large salt piles
