Fran BIG HUG you remembered! She is better every day; new security system, lights, locks.. stayed there last night for the first time alone. Just keep praying for her safety and that she isn't fearful.

a louisville slugger should be fine.
halfway! now if I can just get these stupid e's in the corners
I suggested a huge baseball bat.. defense class... shooting range. She doesn't seem to be ready for that. She did get an alarm for her key ring, along with the house security.

my phantoms today are rattle and bolster.
how about mobster for a phantom?
got the bl's, like casting a rock video
Oh and how about mobster?
lots of good phantoms tonight
and lobster
Dr. Seuss said "think of bloogs going by." And since he invented the word "nerd" I think it should count
if we could use Seuss we'd have a gazillion words!
just monkeyed the aa
gah, oblong is a definite phantom.
snowy there is ob6
is there really an es 7?

ooh, found the ge7 and it's another psuckology word LOL
there's two ge7's
there are 2 ge 7s gwen
can someone help with the second bl 6/27?
go 5/20 sounds like chicken ***** switch a vowel
is the other one related to the psych word?
nope, but starts the same way gwen
bl, people with yellow hair. two spellings.
no. one of the 50 pieces of the USA
thanks dart
I need the one after the yellowest hair.
mo5/14?
ahh, Ty BW. seems obvious now 8-)
ty, didn't have that one, shannon
shannon, gwen clued that one
beau mo 5/14
drop a vowel from the other version
doh!
thanks bookwomen... I thought this was supposed to be in English!
re8?
mo5, rhymes with small lake, plus a vowel
i have learned more foreign words from this puzzle than high school classes.
voting for gnob to be a word
it won't take gnoll, which is too a word, at least according to D&D :P
if only . . . LOL
might be because there is only one L here. Morning all.
phantom: lobster
got to go, don't want to but must, bbl
Hi, sprite
oh, duh, heh. think it's not in the dictionary either though. and hi, sprite
hi and bye sprite
yeah, wouldn't take it anyway
hi sprite!
bye mva
"was not found in the dictionary" means it wouldn't take it ever, even if you have the letters
hello sprite
chow MVA
*poke* re8? guys? I know some of you have it!
*hugs Fran and jilli, waves to MVA, says another hi to all*
ornith, a sound word
re8, to echo or make something vibrate. the big machine in From Beyond
oh geez, thanks fran!!!
re8 re = your boy + past tense of eat
st8?
Twinkle in the sky and what your breathe through. silly word.
re8/40 amplify sound by vibration.
st8 phantom: stearate
st 8 = light in the sky + something on your face
lobster is bugging me too
ty, Fran, Gwen and Dart
that's a word!?!?
thanks dart!
ty gwen
(!) another silly word, TY dart
Morning sprite......and mobster.

got that st8 -- trying to picture it, lol
Fran te9
fran, it's te9, my last missing one :P
lol jilli, you and me both :D
thanks dart!
thanks
I think there's a st8d mole or something like that
like the hairynosed dolphin? Okay...
te5/10 + astro****
a new animal babblet. :-)
would be our first 8 letter babblet!
ornith, then it should take st8d but it won't ("not found in dictionary")
nice icon, frances -- wanted to get one for that word but gave up
ooooo...is it a good sign if my last word for the night/day is mo5/12 relating to cash? seens like a great way to get fireworks! and thanks all for the great clues! goodnight all!
thanks frances, firewords!!
3 left,

belated ty for the te9 clue, finally got the little beastie
grats knight!
<-- weird mole clue icon
yay, finished 7s and 8s
nana, I'm really Gillian. My father called me Jill and that became jillibus -- he liked Latin
very weird and cool ornith.
morning al...now im cross with enable...it will let the yo4 slang word...but it wont let the aussie version 'hoon' which means exactly the same thing...*grump*
good thing the st8 mole stays underground with that honker LOL
Love it Ornith.
hi rolin!
cute jillibus...always brings a smile!
ok, bedtime for me... night all!
aussie slang has not yet penetrated the euro-centric dictionaries
night ornith!
a great nick, jilli :)
G'night, Ornith
:)
night Ornith
Better than my brother calling me fandangle annie
so it seems gwen...i shall protest until it does...THEN we'll jhave some funny words..lol
oh, THAT's cute, frances!
sounds nice, Frances!
I didn't thing so at the time jilli.
and blog hasnt been legitimised yet either
poor st8 mole, looking like that!
I tried blog
I thinik we all have sprite
I still can't get the last of the te9. Remedial help, anyone?
I tried blog too -- but if enable hasn't even got around to internet how can we expect blog?
one who truly treasures vibrant new words should never rely on dictionaries. they are controlled by those who look askance at same
yay, S greyed out.
te5/10 + atro****
but I am the nerd that always tries internet too... and oreo...
and afro...
oh yes, that one too
and hara
kiri?
......and why French words but not Spanish?
pretty darn stoopid that internet ain't in the dictionary. what are we chatting on for the IPU's sake?
thanks frances!
Finally got it. Thanks, Frances
You're welcome Fran
yeah, hara for belly, but also for point of power there.
You too Jellen
oh, there are Spanish ones too --
we agree Gwen
i think haz's last name is in the grid, unless i'm mistaken about her last name.
always a lovely st5 of my day, nagging about enable and feeling superior to a dictionary :D
i miss haz, when is she coming back?
well, my dinner is cooked and i am off to eat it, yes, at 2:44 in the morning. Who needs a clock anyway? LOL and see you all later
it is dinnertime somewhere in babble land, Gwen. Enjoy!
I noticed that too Fran
aan 6/24 clue anyone
Bye BDG
have a good meal gwen!
Would someone clue the bl7 & 8 for me?
ruru, you said it!!
Alt form of fair headed
think haircolour and intelligence, Jellen
bl8 is most fair headed
and then superlative
look at my iocon
Thank you, Frances and Fran!!
i'm going to have to be careful, i ask for clues the same way ruru just did.
what do you mean Fran
bl7/40 have more fun and bl8/55 have the most fun
and what am I? Left over porridge? :P
my icon good for 5 bl clues
sure is joso
ruru, you said an6/24 when you asked for the clue. :-)
oh, I have only 4! *goes on hunting again*
both plurals are there too spritey.
sheeezzzz I missed the shortest plural. Hand me the fish, sigh...
and thanks Fran
ruru, did you get it? :-)
not a problem sprite.
I think ruru is so close to the an6 that he cannot see it.
not yet I will find it
sprite!!
i feel like it's been weeks!
hey stud! Good to see you :)
tragicstud....?
hi stud!
you forgot i'm here too. :)
i told you i had to check the rest of my worlds :)
hi fran :)
ruru, go back to 1:44, you typed it in the chat.
Hi, tragic
poor miri! If it is any consolation miri, I am invisible to Jellen :(
hi mirish!
Hi, mirish
hi jell :) wow- i miss this time on here
No, you're not, sprite!!
hi stud, miri -- and thanks ruru for the an6, lol
thanks Tragic - just 'cause you only had me the other nite !
ah yippeeeeee, not anymore! *waves relieved to Jellen*
hello everyone
Hi, lynxxx
hi lynxxx
hi lynxxx!
hey lynxxx
I went back fran and only see an aa
I went back fran and only see an aa
hey jilli, lynxx :)
stud had you the other night? Lynxxx? Errr.... hi :)
does an6 have all the right hand g's??..and if so..do they all start with the ge4?
the other night?
the date?
did you need a clue for an6/24 ruru?
"BLOG" & "MOOG" not allowed? Unfair!!!
well - it was night here anyway
there is an aa4 and an an6... you asked for aan6, ruru. We thought you meant the an6.
sure I am stumped I am sure it is right infront of my face
yes Tragic...after your big date
ruru, isn't there an6 to help you?
I do mean the an 6
i don't remember being online after...
huh
i mean, of course i was, but...
.....and moob. My granddaughter says that her father has moobs.
then look back at your own first question for it... you posted the word itself in that entry :)
theres a double a4?
ruru, see rolin's question at 1:55
ruru's post is gone though sprite. :-(
yes rolin. Like the slippery fishies, but then aa.
yes rolin
it is still in the Entilre Chatlog though, Fran
ok, ruru: ne1.
ty sprite...never seen that before
clue for an6, an6? an6? bueller?
i don't understand dating, so i've been in a dog eber since
i've got about 3 minutes before i can go back to sleep
lmao@fran....ooooh youre old
gee, thanks rolin...i think. :-)
hmmm...what was i going for there...
lol rolin... challenged historically, you should say!
fog maybe?
sleep Tragic - you need more sleep!
hmm..point taken sprite...well time for breakfast...see you all later...
sure, we can have an ongoing investigation, but ongo is not valid.
bye Rolin
later rolin!
enjoy rolin
ruru, please tell me you found the an6 now...
heh... yes lynx
hopefully will see you all soon have a good one
night stud!
sweet dreams Tragic
sweet dreams stud *hug*
night stud
G'night, tragic
sorry sprite I don't yet
ruru, read this out loud: ne1
an6? an6? bueller?
ruru, did you look at rolin's question at 1:55?
thats clever Sprite!
the problem is he is too close to it to see it, seriously. Lol, thanks lynxxx :)
the problem it's so twisty all up in that corner.
lol, I feel for you, ruru. I have had blind moments like that and it feels sooooo frustrating. I bet N.E.1 would feel that way...
omg....DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
ta dah!!!!
LOL.... *hugs ruru*
thanks for hanging in the there and helping me.. I coulldn't see it
I think he's got it!
LOL ruru!
now do you realize you wrote it in the chat? :-)
by George, he's got it
we all understood, ruru, and we have all been there!
Sure.. I didn't look at the Y
lol jilli... Pygmalion!
indeed, sprite :)
brb. Critters and I need food.
I think I will quietly play babble on my computer and not ask for clues for a while LOL
LOL
later jell!
don't do that ruru -- no fun!
*smiles at ruru* I can soooo relate to that.
enjoy, Jellen! Both food and critters!
nice to have re8 and bo4 in the same grid, btw
how weird - 2 different spelling of an r word - one will take a y end and the other won't
any help for st8
joso, it is a compound. Light in the sky and protruding thing in your face.
joso, compound word, twinkly thing + what you smell with.
thx sprite
yw :) Wouldn't have found it myself if someone had not clued me.
same here
tnx fran too
yw
Fran, did you know, my husband and kids don't smell with it, they look with it.
huh?
you'll have to explain sprite, sounds strange. :-)
if they cannot find something, they look with it... and don't find it... and it always is right in front of it.
is that a language thing sprite?
lynxxx, figured out which R words you were talking about, strange!
it is a dutch expression: to look with your n4. It means being bad in searching for something.
Ok BL 8/55 clue I am not going to repeat my dumbness
ah, now i get it sprite. :-) kids and husbands are not good at finding things.
ruru, most fair-headed
most fair haired, ruru.
bl8 is the most bl5.16 or bl6.27
exactly Fran :)
bl 5,6,6,7,8 are in my icon
ohhh nooooooo
that is hysterical ... I should be blond
*grins evilly*
ruru!
and once more for posting the word in the log, ruru, LOLLLLL
you are making me laugh ruru
lol
He said another word!
you're just not having a good night ruru. and you're usually so quick. :-)
my neighbours just looked up to see why I was laughing so loud, lol
A bl5/16 moment
LOL sprite.
am being bugged by reason. Figures.
changed icon
good one jilli
ah, also a nice one, jilli.
didn't like the colours in the so5/14 one
changed mine too, the plural thing was bothering me
great one, fran!
thank you jilli.
nice icons both fran and jilli
I like that one too Fran!
thanks sprite
ty joso
thanks joso. :-)
yay -- got that bottom right E
woo hoo jilli!
Thought of Icon for the 9, picture of the 5 books in the hitchiker tri****, answer is the half way between what the series is (5 books) and what it calls itself (3 books), keeping marilyn though.
woot jilli!
smart, joso
probally too twisty to be any real help though.
unless you can find a series that is 4 books, can't think of one myself.
ty for the 9, joso, and a word for the T I was missing, so I can go to bed now, over halfway too.
don't know it you can get a picture of the 5 books anyway.
night jilli!
lol yw jilli
G'night, jilli
not that i want you to leave. :-)
lol fran!
so off I go -- night all! *poof* (so you can talk behind my back...)
sheesh, i thought she'd never leave...*checking to see if she's still there* :-)
(who, me?)
LOL
lol -- bye!
*hugs jilli* You will know when we talk about you... you will be blushing ;)
like gerring a 4 year old in bed
oops, geTTing
zzzzzzzzz
lol joso! jilli will love that one. :-)
hello everyone :) *hugs sprite*
must be possible to find a pic, I think... they were published in one box.
sleep typing, definately too much babble
hey mrP! We had fun yesterday, hadn't we :)
hi mrp!!
Any clues for the te9 please?
did you guys record another chapter?
te, 4 book set
xanika, a series of 4 books, like a tri****
sure did sprite!! I haven't been feeling too well today so haven't been able to do babblebooks like i wanted to
stuck on the B0 5/18 & 14
fran, we did :)
joso: http://tinyurl.com/23fkvn
Hi, mrp
oh good, i'll check iTunes
fran, I haven't posted it yet
ruru, do you have the bo5/18 drums?
thanks everyone
yes
how about bo*** prince charlie?
bo5/18 is a bear's name
oh, there are two, lol
hi jellen :)
wb Jellen
i don't have a bo5/14 except for a plural
sprite, I only got half of our conversation recorded.
oh I see it is the bo 6/24 is the last one I am really screwed up tonight I really apologize.. maybe I shold go to bed
I have bo5/14 like coming from the northpole... po***. Change first letter. The po*** Express.
how come, mrP???
ooooooooaddictions
thanks sprite!
yw :)
sorry ruru, i don't have that bo6/24
I watched the recording carefully, so I am confused
I do... let me think of a clue though
that is a re4 shame, mrP :(
bo6: first 3 letters of a fire to sit around and sing, + first 3 letters of bird's sleeping place.
OH I goit plural it fran the 5//14
bo5.18 as in Prince Charles can be spelled with a substitute vowel on the end, then plural
drop the plural letter for another bo5/14
I have heaps of the chapter you read, so I will use that
bo 6/24, plural, bo5/14, maid, sounds like prince charlie
thanks ruru, sprite, lynxxx and joso!
I don't mind doing the reading again, mrP... it is a shame about the rest of the conversation. How frustrating!
the B's be done
woo hoo ruru!
bo 5/22?
we had so much fun!! I really enjoyed the way our podcast was sounding
b**** board at the ocean
jellen, put on your bo*** shoes
B**** fever
i'll be back in a bit, have to get kids to bed.
the bo5.22 man will get you!
Thanks, Fran and ruru
and lynxxx
nice for me to help someone tonight... lol
I am really out of it tonight... I should have been drinking or something
*sick* no more drinking for me!
you were highly entertaining, ruru ;) Don't feel bad!
ok... so what now, mrP? Want me to go on skype now?
that was to explain my rummy behavior mr. p
oh, everybody: if you want to see a very heroic little sunflower, check the pics in my profile!
sprite, I am going to have to purchase the recording tool cause I can only record 30min of a skype conversation
we could split the costs, if you like
or we should just watch the time, disconnect, and then start recording again.
oh that is the best idea sprite... I can record 2 or 3 conversations and I will watch the time. we don't have to disconnect, I just need to stop recording every 30 min
your sunflower series is gorgeous!
then let's do that. No need to go pro if a simple stop and restart will do the trick.
I will just finish editing sprite, then we can work out what I still need, ok?
thanks :D
perfect, mrP, just let me know what you need from me and we will make it a great recording yet :)
I bet Roszak and the rules are not recorded anyway... we can do that again easily.
go 5/20 clue anyone
ruru said a woord!
I would love some ideas for an opening to introduce babblebooks!
what do you mean, mrP?
ruru said THE word. LOL.
an introduction that I can include at the beginning of each cast
that is alot of word too! ;)
ah, ok, I see... let me think!
Sorry, I don't have the go 5/20, ruru
mrP, if you could st5 skype, I could type some text in for you to read
go5/20 rhymes with what you get at mcdonalds, a number 5 co***
go 5 --- add a type of clay-like soil: gu***
ty, Fran
i just came back to say goodnight! have a good morning/night or whatever you're having!

help!!! anybody got a clue for te9??
te9 extends on the te5.10 before - has the same ending as mythol*** or a tril***

hi
Hi herin
Trying to get my friends ipod working but it is sad
help with the 9 please
a series of 3 books is called a tri****. This should be a 4 book's series.
Was that a clue?
yes
so thats a tr?
te9/78 clue as asked
You can use the te5.10 as a base Infernal - as well as a fish it indicates 4
Ok i need to thing about sleeping i think. I am terribly sorry that was very obvious
Thanks
or, for the beginning, think of the illness you have to be treated for when you have dirt in wounds, and insert the hesitating sound vowel into it.
then drop the last 3 letters
I have it now that was a really good clue
:) yw lady!
its always those scottish words! s'be banned - monkeyed mo4.7
I am zombie girl tonight.
noooooo! No banning the scottish words, I so love those. Even if I have a helluva time finding them.
I've just got the hang of the ha's & na's but they keep throwing sneaky ones in
wish I could learn that language. Or irish. But I think you have to be born to it.
all the rrr's to roll ! best I can do is roll my ar4.4
I can shake ar4, but that is not in this grid.
*my ar**
I was being polite, even though its not here!
My youngest granddaughter 2 1/2 has just found out she can get a reaction from her parents for saying ar..
yay! Love that kid :)
helen's real name is in the grid again, btw.
My net is not allowing me babble
is anyone here
being Australian I swear a bit, but when my kids started to pick it up, I told them they couldn't swear until they were 18 - strangely it worked -! - and they still remember me saying they could if I dare pull them up
i am getting that message word cant be added
Sorry herin Im here but miles away in thought!!
I'm OK here
oh good its not just me I had to switch to beta 10 to play
I dont swear in front of my parents. I cuss like a salior but around my parents i dont
its gremlins herin
ok
good girl Herin
i may say b itch and a rse but thats about it and every now and then flip the bird at them when im being a smarty pants
lynxxxI swear sometimes but when my kids were young they never heard me..now they are fully grown with families of their own they never swear in front of me (even though my son who is a policeman probably knows more words than i do!!)
I was the same Infernal - especially after dad lireally wshed my mouth out with soap and water when I said 'bloody' at about age 10
lol caitlyn
I dont think its the bad language ..its respect for others
My ex told his son (who was 3) that swearing in front of others didnt give him friends and that people would think that he wasnt nice but it was ok to say the base swear words at home. SOmeoone in his day care learned that charming C word and by was he told off about it
My parents taught me that it was bad manners to swear. Now out of home and on my own when i visit i still ask for things out of the fridge and cupboard unless i have bought it
have you closed and reopened it?
I might get going - a lovely easy grid tonite but I still have 25 left for the morning. bye for now!

I should have seen that ... it's too early yet here.
Hello everyone.
hello scrabbler!
it is a treacherous word. Because it is the only one from that tile, we think it is short.
HI Scrabler
G'd mornign Scrabbler!
morning Scrabbler
hi Scrabbler
hello Scrabbler
OOoh, I want a hint for that treacherous word.
Hi Scrabbler... belated birthday greetings to you
TY, Caitlyn.
5.48 am, Scrabbler
Where is the treacherous word?
TY, sprite, I am now thinking about that E...but I am pre-coffee and my brain is not happy about waking up.
E from the right bottom corner
I found it!!!!!
Morning all.:)
hi Jac! *hug* wtg Scrabbler
GM Jac
yay Scrabbler!!
My phantom is lobster.
Morning Jacula
morning jac!
G'd mornign Jacula
Hi Jacula
Scrabbs - No, it's not 'eureka!' LOL
good morning jac!
Hello Jacula!!! good to see you
Ah, yes, Merk. I see it now too.
Hi jac
glad you all are finding that e in the bottom corner ..... darned if i can see it
*grins*
That would be fun to have "eureka" in the grid.
Nanette: mansion + surrounding grounds
Scrabbler i hope you are ok
Nono--when you die there are es6 taxes, or e + st5
nono--it travels right on up to the e in the upper right corner
During the French Revolution, the French used the es word a lot.
your started something Sprite lol
Scrabbs - Someone, maybe Franmag, can't remember now posted the url for a cute bunny game in the log last night. Did you see it?
ahhh thanks Scrabbler the mansion clue just wasnt working
looks like it!
You mean after finding the treacherous word, Lady? Yes, I traveled through the grid with a safety harness.
No the Oliver the hamster
Inge told me about it and I played last night.
Has anyone said it's an 'es 6,18'?
what what whats up doc what game i missed out is it any good Scrabbler
Good Morning All, clue for the 9 please
morning peri
Morning peri
Hope Tucker is all locked up how did he get out how far did he get?
hi Peri
hi peri
Clue? I don't even know where it is yet.
morning peri
Another clue for the es6/18 would be - a group of council houses are found on a housing es6/18.
lol same here, merk!
I will bury Oliver in the pet cemetery this afternoon. Last night was the first night that I didn't have to take care of him and his food and water. It's always hard when we lose a pet. he had a long hamster life--over 2 1/2 yrs.
Scrabbs - ((HUGS))
OH im so sorry Scrabler
http://www.ferryhalim.com/orisinal/g3/ bells.htm
ah, sorry to hear scrabbler :o(
*hugs Scrabbler*
so sorry to hear about Oliver will you replace him?
Sorry to hear Scrabbler
But to lose a beloved rabbit--that is always brutal and I haven't gone through that since 2001. Callie is now 7.
good day all
Hi carlee
hello carlee!
hello carlee
hi carlee
A part of me wants another hamster as they are funny to watch, but I also don't need extra work (cleaning).
Hello, carlee.
Hi carlee
how we all doing cait, nonnie, lore, s prite scrabs and jacs?
I for one, would like to move just a couple of these letters around. for one thing, I would like the 'er' in a different place. It's OK after the double n, but I want a set by those triple 't'.
morning Carlee
ok..my first word IS a phantom
79 to find here, carlee.
" lobster" ...grrrrrrrrrrrr
My lobster, Carlee?
know exactly what you mean scrabbler... takes hours of maintenance and feeding and cleaning but my bunnies are worth it lost two over the last four years very sad
I've found 'blog', 'rangoon' and tan*** (pa system) but Enable has disabled them.:(
Heading to work. Take care all.
blog is not a word.
Oops. I should've used an asterisk or two more there! Sorry!
Scrabbler my granddaughters had 2 hamsters 1 escaped was replaced but with the wrong sex by mistake..you can imagine the rest..when we got involved there were 12 of different ages in the cage!! All sorted and sexed now but a nightmare at the time
later nonnie
'Bye, Nonnie.
Bye Nonnie
lol caitlyn
yes I couldn't believe tannoy, but it is a proper noun apparently
Are the et's "normal" words?
oh my cait
Merk - I know but I wouldn't mind betting it will be in a new dictionary soon!
enjoy your day nonnie see you soon
No clue though, jus a yes or no..... :)
hey lori
Have a good day Nonnie, and anyone I missed!
got any more peaches carlee?
I was typing blog as you were Jacula.
Did Peri find her 9>
when we bought two gerbils for my son [many moons ago] the pet store owner assured me they were both male [how could one really tell anyway]. the two males had a litter soon after [must have been parthenogenesis]. we donated them to his nursery school and kept only one of the adults
no Merk
Lori - the et words have been in grids before. Thanks for brining them to my notice! *grins*
gotta get ready for work, bbl
gotta get ready for work, bbl
'Bye, peri.
Later peri
I suppose you were lucky that the school took them bichon..
Bye peri
I was checking e-mail. Taking care of bunnies is worth it. The tough part with hamsters is that they don't live long. Once I ended up with a n accidental litter of 12! (I know how it happened--biologically and due to an escape followed by a nocturnal rendezvous.) It was a wonderful experience to watch the babies grow up---so darn cute!!
bye peri have a great day see you soon
(She must be doing a double shift! She's getting read twice.)
Never mind. Found 'em. Not normal words.....
*ready! *sigh*
bye peri
LOL Jac
Apologies Jacula, didn't see 'yer post. Thanks!
I must make coffee; the bl words are not appearing.
Scrabbler i am sorry to hear about your hamster
y/w, Lori.
I am OK, Lady, TY.
Merk - maybe after coffee you won't be having a bl6/27 moment! (Clue to 4 x bl words)
I just found those as well, Jac.
Oliver had a wonderful I am sure and you have memories of him and if anything like me i just keep talking to them even after they have passed on
Yah, the bl's are moments that I have all the time.
Oh, I see why, it's my hair color.
LOL
And that clue, ladies, is good for six words.
5 words
Ah! Spotted the bl8 now. Thanks, Merk.
an6?
Right, 5. I counted the one after the batch by mistake. I am still missing two bl 5,14 right before them. Any clues appreciated.
heh heh heh Merk. A bl 5 moment! :-)
b + tardy is one.
b + not on time
Well, Lordana, Oliver is wrapped up in a blanket of tissues and in a plastic bag on the kitchen counter and I said last night, "What is that? Oh, Oliver it is you, you silly hamster."
add 2nd vowel, and /or snake letter to the 4 Merk
ty for the tardy
an6, pleae?
and the plural lori
Got to wave a duster around ...bbl..bye
'Bye, cait.
Later caitlyn. Happy waving
Did you attend Hogwarts, caitlyn?
Bichon - haven't got it yet. Sorry.
LOL Scrabbler..bye
I always laugh when I finally find a word that is so obvious. I just saw se4 across the top row.
one of the N words hates me
bichon an 6/24 is an**** there
Paranoia will destroy ya, Sprite.
an 6 Does an**** here have a hibnt for that?
The st 8,40 is an unusual compound word.
being paranoid doesn't mean they are not after you
loredana an? sorry
Separately they are very, very common words.
TY for an6
Got it! Thanks for the an6.
Very, very common words that are elusive to me right now.
sorry, don't get the an6
an + sopmetimes vowel + first number
bichon knock knock is an**** there?
bichon - 'knock, knock... who's there? ... is there an**** there??'
Snap, Lori!:)
Aha, it sinks into the early morning dense matter. ty
:- )
Ty Merk for the un clue on the St 8 !!
Help--my brain's force field is repelling the st8. A clue please for the very, very common words.
Aha, I tried something silly and got it!!
st 4,4 + your smeller on your face
silly huh !
I found Peri's 9. It builds on the te 5 before it and means a series of four related dramas, operas, or novels.
I never knew that those things in the sky had probosci.
lol me either !
st8/40 is a type of mole (the burrowing kind), I think.
Aha, Jac. Everyday in Babble Land I build my word power.
Yep, it is (just checked the definition).
Can soneone elaborate on the 9 please ! I have the first part !
the prefix "rhino" is a hint for the second part
Sorry, I thought you meant st8 and you mean te9
yes ma'am
**reminding myself to not clue before grey matter is fully functional**
st8/40 is now my Friday clue icon. Refresh if you want to see the little chap.
lol
OK, I have found two 8s and the nine. Where's my missing 8?
yay Jac, great one!
Great pic, Jac.
Kris te 5/10+lo4/6
got the 9 googling Merk's hint
Another handy clue. The ge 7 builds on the treacherous es 6
Dont' bother trying this one: nonlate
found the darn N. It was an na4, grrrrr.
Lore, that gave me the lo 4. Thanks.
yw merk
but you can try newborn, Scrabbler.
I must have the wrong te5--te5 that goes with hedron doesn't go with lo4.
and the anti-creative-stuff word
TY, Sprite!
yw :)
And the other ge 7 is a German word you learned in psych class.
**pondering anit-creative-stuff word. ***
Scrab there's only 1 Te 5 !
TY for ge7, merk
***s and crafts, scrab......(hi, I'm off to work)
But where is my other 8?
lo 4/8 scrab
you know, when someone throws a bucket of paint at a wall, bumps his ass to it several times and calls it ***, somebody is willing to pay lots of money for it.
I have the bl and the st.
re8
I found te9!!
yay scrabbler!!!
yay Scrabber, well done girrrrrl!
re ... oh yuck!
YAY Scrab
In pediatrics there is a form of congenital heart disease called te9 of Fallot.
wtg Scrab ... that was a strange word
Ah, got te9 now I know there's a lo4/8!
The st 8 was a much more fun one.
Merk: there is a bo4/7. If that sounds through the room, you can say it re8s.
I didn't know lo4/8 was s stand-alone word.
me either, not until lore's clue
So, does anyone want to clue the re 8 to make my day easier?
Scrabbs - it means lethargic.
another word for sluggish Scrabbler
echo, merk (thanks sprite)
I just did Merk
Sprite, where does the anti-creative-stuff word come in?
but hey, what do I know... invisible me :)
lol sprite
morning. new link at goodreads, in a post and in the description of the group
you had this unword, Scrabbler. this one begins the same and ends in creative craft. no6 babblet.
Sprite - thanks for the re8.
GM feather !
morning feather
ty
Hi, feather.
I saw it and bookmarked it, feather.
yw Jac :)
morning feather
hi feather
if you can have a serated knife, why isn't serate a word??
Aha, NOW I get it, Sprite. (Second cup of coffee has commenced. I should be at full capacity soon, although "full capacity" is relative.)
double R, Dorens
That's what I want to know Dorens !
Two R's, Doren
how' s daniel this morning feather. (thanks sprite)
There are many questions in life like that Dorens.
It's serRate, Dorens.
he's better, but fussy and cranky
and i really did know that. on some level
fireworks
<POMPOM TOSS> fr sprite
glad he's better tho.
Well done, sprite.
Yahooo Sprite!!!
yay sprite
he's on my lap, wants to type
woopee!!!! well done Sprite
Hi Daniel!!!
great job, Sprite.
breakfast time, bbl
lol, he said "two bunnies!"
and two bears! there's another! lol
I am happy that you are not puking anymore, Daniel. Be nice to your belly today.
school time.... back this evening
bye all, have a great day!
Daniel, I have 4 REAL bunnies in my house. They each have their own bedroom.
Bye Sprite & Doren. Enjoy the day.
he says his mouth hurts now. ohh, his throat i think.
he wants to go to your house!
poor Daniel. Hang on, kid, you will feel better soon.
"i wanna go see"
Oh, Feather, he probably has a Coxsackie infection--mouth/throat blisters/sores and the GI component. Any red bumps on his palms or soles? (hand-foot-mouth disease)
ok, he wants to go to the noggin website and play a game there. he said "bye people"
Daniel, you would have so much fun playing with my bunnies.
Bye, Daniel. Drink a lot today.
nope, hands and feet are clear. i'm wondering if he has some kind of cold/congestion too, though, as he was sticking his fingers in his ears in hte middle of the night last night and fussing some. he says his ears don't hurtthough.
i think it's the throat rather than mouth, he just didn't know the right word
If he has throat sores then his ears will feel plugged up sometimes--popping, clicking, snapping sensations.
hmmm
i need a flashlight
mouth looks clear, no sores or anything
Time to stop. I am at 80/114. I have a tennis match at 9 and need to shave my legs to be aerodynamic!
Clue for the Te 6 Please !!??
lol, sleek and smooth scrabbler!
we're off to play a game, bbl
LOL, Scrabbs!
te5/10 + lo4/8 (te5=name of a beta fish, lo4=ending word for bio****, and psycho****)
Blog isn't allowed. AAAAAGH!
jac--I need every advantage possible as I am overweight and 48.
I know, Patxxx. I think we have all tried it.
Scrabbs - you're not alone!
Pat - it stands for 'web log' and I guess the fused form hasn't made it into dictionaries... yet.
Ok, bye. I shall return this afternoon.
Thanks Scrab but I need the Te 6 not the 9 !
nm got it
I guess I need te6 too--a clue?
NM, I found it.
okies
Overweight... 48... go shave your legs lest you be late! Bye, Scrabbs. :D
We'll overlook the fact that I used a word in that!
I thought Enable was an online dictionary and, therefore, on the ball. Which bit have I got wrong?
Pat - the part about it being on the ball.
Thanks Jacula. I'm not often told I'm on the ball.
oh, Jacula your clue for today is marvelous
y/w, Inge2.
I pinched your clue there Scrabbler. Thank you for the piscatorial education.
Is the te 9 built on the 5 please? (no clue yet)
Lori - yes.
Thanks Jacula. BAck i go.
LoriP, I am afraid I couldn't finish yesterday's grid either. In and out too often. Low hopes for today. One frisky labrador is hustling for a playmate - me!
40 left here, but I have jam to make and more plums to pick. BBL. Happy Babbling.
You can do it Pat!
LAter Jacula.
Ack! That te 9 almost had all my hair fall out
how many words today?
194 Jay
194, and g'd morning
thanks! and good morning to you too!
Hey KristineNas, I see you are from Rutland...I'm from Poultney! Small world!
Very small Hi neighbor
Finally figured Babble out. The real game is to learn the ENABLE dictionary not finish the grid.
I've never seen anyone on here even close to us
The bo 5,14 rhymes with the mo 5,12
there are a few
*looks confused* Anyone know why tannoy isn't in found in the babble dictionary? That is how you spell it, isn't it?
*shrugs* guess I'm not on enough:)
i'm on too much ! lol
gotta bring the baby to the bus stop , i'll be back soon to get my last 17 !
What..noogy not a word?...sheesh
Hi, kat... LOL... we have glorious rain this morning...
Carleekat. Nor is moonstar! Flipping heck I use it every day.
gm kids
morning red... we going to have frost this weekend ..and my daughter is doing a canoe camp...including swim to shore
Hi, EJ and Patxxx...
hahaha... good one pat... and my phantoms over and over are lobster and go4ter
Hi Scarlet
Frost? Wow... too early in my calendar for that stuff... is she used to swimming in such cold?
There, 194 words. i are done. My torture is over. ***sips coffee***
mornin babblers!
Hi, LoriP and congratulations for the big one!
uh...NO...I don't believe ANYONE used to it but the eskimo and perhaps the finns... then... next week we back into 80's... whacked weather
Hi, EvaN..
<POMPOM TWIRL> for lori
Scarlet!!!! How are ya' my love?
hey eva
I be fine dear one!! And thou?
G'd mornign Evan, and anyone I missed while i accidentally did the grid....
me!
Mygoodself is well, good! :-)
G'd morning Esprit. I sensed 'yer presence...... :-)
hmmmmmmmm
ARe the young'uns back to school and is life settling down from a super-busy summer, L?
*sniffs under arms*
***Sending my love to Granny, in case she's lurking***
question for all the moms/medical professionals out there... trying to determine if i have a cold or if its just my allergies... started a week ago, i was sinusy and sneezy. the sinusy + sneezy is now settling down, but now i have a cough...
Lori... I've been asking about grannymaxxx for days now, and noone seems to have seen her... I am very worried...
LOL Esprit. Still nekkid? Scarlet, yes, back to the grind. I wasn't ready for summer to be over yet. Oh well, that's how it goes.
Evan, this is prime time for allergies until the first hard frost.
If no fever, then allergies, if temps were higher than normal, a slight cold...
she was on other day red... very down...she is online...but keeping to herself...so..as lori would say ** SUBLIMINAL MESSAGE TO GRANNY** Big hugs...we miss you
Hayfever is generally rampant from sometime in August until frost.
is granny ill?
Scarlet, she popped in the otehr day for a bit. She's doing okay, just feeling................
Great! Are the treatments taking their toll? Thank you for telling me that... and Thank you to Lori, too... I think of her every day...
Granny needs our love and support methinks, which of course she already has!
i dont think ive had a fever and i havent been achy. i have been tired a lot, but thats not so unusual for me...heh i know i have seasonal allergies, but its a new development for me, so i always confuse them with a cold at first...
Granny has lung cancer,
:-(
lost a friend last June to lung cancer
morning all. if it helps, my icon is themed for the day and good for 5 bl clues
mind I have a friend who is beating..or at least... surviving lung cancer... reg chemo all time..but very liveable...skis all winter long
thanks joso, I got two from that clue
Well, Grannymaxxx, if you are just peeking in, there are a whole bunch of us who send our love and our support to you.... *HUGS & kisses&
Scarlet, I won't presume to speak for Granny, but I was glad to bump in to her. She knows we all miss her, and we're here when she wants us. Crazy life sometimes.....
i got 3 from that clue. ;)
I got 4 thanks joso
Sometimes, Lori... you know, sometimes you get accustomed to insanity and that is insane... this site is my best tether to normalcy in a nutso world...
You play the cards life deals you, and I support Granny in this unfair, but all too common battle.
ooh, i got 4 as well...heh
There's an expression in baseball: "You gotta dance wit' what brung ya."
Same here Scarlet. Great people here. Some are even semi-normal! :-)
Damn this perio-menopause! I'm teary. :(
Are you accusing me of .... *sputter* I can't even mouth the Normal word.."
LOL, I KNOW I don't qualify for theat word..... ***Id idn't mean to accuse you of normalcy Scarlet*** :)
<looking around room> normal?...WHAT is "normal"?
Oh, Lori... how long have you been in the tweener world of perio-M?
hi gang - clues for the 8 and 9 please - i have to go back to work (sigh)
LOL, kattie and Lori.... yes, I can see that you are properly chastened...
It's prob'ally psychological along with the physical. I'm almost 42, but see the signs. Bring it on!
no matter - have the 8
thank goodness I haven't hit that yet..coming up on 41... am not sure how I will cope psychologically
the 9 is an extension of the 5, a fish or prefix for 4 + bio**** is what i'm talking about with Scarlet :)
That was the beginning for me, too... and it lasted until I was 52... I still, 10 years later, have hot flashes and some other doozie craziness with my body... I'm not complaining, but it's weird...
I'm not the elast bit worried. I've alraedy polled the family, and things look good, and I accept it as part of life. It is what it is.
oops, the 9 is a te, by the way. Sorry 'bout that
The women in my family did not suffer too greatly... nor did I, but it was definitely a radical change from (here's that word again) normalcy
and, while I'm forgetting things, g'd mornign sandr!
thanks lori - heading to work now - with 63 left. Have a good day all
Hi and bye sandr!! :-)
Have a good one sandr. :-)
Hello, Fellow Babblers.. hope all is well with you..
G'd morning Aloy
Hi, Aloy... you came through the mowing without incident? LOL
Scarlet, I'm hoping for a smooth transition, but, who knows.
hi aloy
yes, miracle of miracles, Scarlet.. (-:
***ignores all talk of lawn mowing, a job I've avoided for 2 weeks now***
hi Lori and carlee...yup, we are expecting cold tomorrow.. so i wanted to get it done. Plus we are headed south on Wed.
LOL, Aloy... I'm still holding my breath for the wonderful debut of your first grandbaby...
oh, me too.. have to keep busy.. always on my mind.
My niece is due in the next couple weeks. Lots of babies in Babble Land this year!
Good things from my house to yours Aloy. :-)
Lori... if your head is on straight, there should be no major problems... my personality didn't change and I didn't use that phase of my life to be a B-woman...
Wonderful news, Lori... your sister, or brother?
LOL Scarlet, the married in one, my sister's son's wife. They're ALL my nieces and nephews though in my books. Love 'em all to bits.
I agree Scarlet, I already made up my mind I can't use it as a crutch to vent a lifetime of pent up hostility LOL, so I'm headed there with a decent mindset. We'll see how it goes.
Love your icon aloyisius. Off to walk the dog.
That's more than half the battle...
HAppy dog walking Pat.

yw :-)
that was the last tile i had no words from + it was driving my batty...heh
blog was not found in the dictionary.. are you kidding me?
CadFan, Enable doesn't even accept "internet." It's still years away from "blog."
LOL
it doesnt like "spam" either
of course, thats not in todays grid, but still...
No one likes spam!
Meat or mail!
ohhh.. I like the meat kind.
hah!
I have fond memories of toasting the meat over a campfire.
Thanks for the icon clue, Jacula.
I know, that's sick and wrong, but I do like it. Then too - I hate orange juice so - you can tell I'm just a little off.
Spam fritters... bleurgh! I remember those from school dinners.
y/w, Vicuna.
Well, I recommend them only for camping. Everything tastes good when you're camping.
Even orange juice! lol
except orange juice.
GAG!!!
Believe me - I take a LOT of grief over that. From mykids, their friends....
Okay, okay, I won't give you grief over it.
Oddball! LOL
But apparently Jacula will!
It's kind of funny - because I am so like a small child when it comes to that stuff - I can't even make it for the kids - who LOVE it - because the smell makes me retch.
Tee, hee.
Ever since I was a kid... I have always hated the stuff.
Maybe she fell in a vat of OJ as a child and nearly drowned.
Cad - wouldn't do for us all to be the same, would it. Wonder if you had a bad experience with an orange? Maybe it made you sick as a baby or something?
Great(?) minds think alike, Vic.
heh. Oh undoubtedly great, Jac!
Cad will have to have a hyponotic regression session and let us know...
At least I didn't suggest she might have been bitten by an orange-flavored pit bull.
LOL - according to my mother - I came out of the womb not liking it - she tried everything - watering it down. sweetening.. nothing worked.
Or even a hypnotic regression session...:/
good morning! Thought I would hang out here while the washer finishes the clothes.
Not a hydropinic regression session then?
Cad - maybe your Mother drank a lot of it when you were in the womb?
or hydroponic? Sheesh. typing.
LOL.
That could be - she likes it
I drank gallons of the stuff when I was pregnant and my kids both like it. Shrug.
Hi, Mom and also LynNate (I think I saw her back there somewhere).
Hi Jacula. I must say that is one ugly picture in your icon. I am glad they live underground.
Vic - I went mad on orange juice when I was expecting my son and he loves it, too. I went mad on Perrier Water when expecting my daughter... she hates the stuff.
And the moral of that story is...
Who the heck knows!
Mom - Boo hoo, that's left over from 'Post a picture of yourself' day. 8-/
(Only kidding!)
lol Jacula
I knew you were kidding. :)
great sense of humor!
lol Jac. I think they're kind of cute (US sense of the word)
Well, Vic .. my daughter got anorexia... sometimes wonder if the water fad was what did it... or if she influenced ME before birth.
gheez, trying to finish my first go round with the grid and life keeps interrupting. Back to Babble for a bit anyway..
Hi Aloyisius. We should be able to have a pause button for life while we babble.
yes, indeedy, Mom!
Jacula, I finally got around to looking at your clue and photo of st 8. He's well named, isn't he/she?
Merk - certainly is!
My husband came downstairs this morning and he saw me folding clothes at the computer so I could babble and all he busted out laughing. The family says I am addicted. You think?
scratch the "all"
duh.. no question, Mom
Oh, Jac, I don't think you can possibly assign "blame" for something like that! It's so impossibly complicated. Has anyone ever actually done a study on something like that? I don't see how one could.
Mom - it's a distinct possibility. Not that I would know of course... not being afflicted with Babble addiction myself.... *coughs*
He walks by periodically and pretends to change my IV connection.
Addicted to Babble? I'm only here because the computer leapt out and assaulted me! The chair seized me and held me down, and they're FORCING me to play!
lol Vicuna
Vic - I wasn't being really serious about that. Yes, studies have been done but nothing conclusive has been proven. It can be inherited/genetic but there are no certainties about that. I'm talking generally, btw, not personally.
It is his fault, afterall, he introduced me to the game. lol
Weird office furniture, Vic!
have you considered an exorsist Vic
earlier this morning, there was a mention of a bl 8 word, may I have a clue please
Mom, you're back
bl8 - the most light-haired.
I am Mark, good morning!
Well, I know I spent my pregnancy worrying about everything that passed my lips and, frankly, I was a lot less stressed-out about it than most of my friends, so I know people can get pretty overwhelmed with worry.
Well, my computer and chair may be weird, but at least I'm not addicted to Babble like all you people! lol
Mom... most like Marilyn Monroe's hair
Prejudiced people sometimes assume that the bl8 woman in the room must be the dumbest.
thank you everyone!
good morning to all
Hello, Mark.
Morning, mark.
my Icon for 5 bl words mom, remember marilyn is the most
the washer is finished. Geez, that means I have to get up and tend to it. Be right back

You said it, Mom... nothing subversive about hunting words... and the company is the BEST!
yes, the company is tops in my book
:-)
plus, it keeps our gray matter from rotting.
you're both soooo right !
With some grids, I think it's too late... LOL... and others, I feel like the queen of the universe...
Scarlet, how true.

ROFL! This is great --- okay, everyone babbling right now --- click on evanonut's profile and link up to the babblecast podcast. Very funny and easy to listen to while babbling!!
(Though it does make it a bit hard to concentrate on the chat log, the grid, the keyboard, etc... but worth it!)
take the ra5/10 before it... put a letter at the end that makes it ra5/10-like

Hello montreal13! How are you? Welcome to the grid!
i'm fine minver - 74 words to go - how are you ?
I am doing well.I am babysitting my niece and nephew

Hi stidmama! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
I am not babysitting, but sick kid home for fourth day... low-grade fever and a rash, but the docs don't want to see him! *sigh*
They're a good age,but a lot of work!Very energetic!
I now have four four-letter words... LOL watch me zip along!

I can remember doing this as a teenager and getting paid - doesn't work that way anymore lol
go, stidmama, go !!!

Niece wants to paint my nails now.I will be back soon

Hi Scrabbler
Hi everyone.
Hi Scrabbler! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
LOL Scrabbler! I am of the opinion that this is varicella, despite his being vaccinated and then catching a mild case a few years ago... It looks like it, it feels like it (very mild of course) and seems to be following the right time frame for everything. Is there something like varicella that would do this?
Ok,off to get my nails beautified! Good luck finishing!
LOL (be careful what you offer...)
He likely has an Enteroviral infection. Describe the rash: appearance, location, itchy or not...
c u later min...
why is everyone able to get into the babblecasts and I dont? I typed in the link form nutty's bio and get a bunch of scripts. what am I supposed to click on? I have no idea how to download either
hi friends
Hi Feather
head and torso, scattered pustule-like dots that emerge itchy and after a day or so are starting to dry up. None I can see on extremities. not "rashy" like a strep rash.
hi inge and feather ! how are you doing ?
Hi Inge & Feather
ooof, my back hurts, nick and i took a 2 hour nap on the couch!
Guten Tag, everyone.
low fever, only up to 101, but persistent. 5 days now.
The Babblecasts are confusing--different sites, then you must download.
there there feather! *hands over massage ball-thingy*
So I wont gt them till one of my kids comes to visit, I am still in computer 101 class
So, Stid, it is a blister appearance. Where is it? Is it itchy?
tag inge! wie geht's? es geht mir gut, uber der stidkid hat ein rash.
lol, it's popping, feeling better as i move. daniel got a et kit at target this morning, so we're fixing up all his stuffed animals
that was "vet kit"
roseola?
scattered, head scalp and torso mostly, a bit on his bum (I am told)... VERY itchy. just got a hydroxyzine prescription
oh how wonderful feather! my kids LOVED their vet kits... we had bandaids on everything (even the sofa) for a while.
hi everyone!
oh -- that should have been "aber der stidkid..." *grin* I can have typos in multiple languages!
hi TO!
Hi TOwl
do you see ballons for my icon?
but I can figure out types in any langauge!!
the book club group is splintering off the goodreads site. here is the book club message board: http://babblebookclub.proboard s75.com/index.cgi
I see something balloon like in the little icon, but profile is a street sign?
hi lynxxx! how's life down under?
your profile is a street sign TO
*tykpos!
darn i have already refreshed twice
once again *typos
rofl inge, too funny!
Hi back Stid - life's good - spring and lovely weather (although still serious water shortage), and I am having time to enjoy it as I have just retired
now your icon is also a street sign!
congratulations lynxxx! wow -- and you don't look a day over 40! *grin*
why thanks M'am!
according to dr daniel, i have fleas
oh oh feather, is he going to dip you?
nope, used tweezers
how is daniel today?
and that's funny, because the first thought I had was that stidkid had fleas (we both get sort of blistery-looking welts when we get bit)
Hi featherbee, inge, and 72 Temple Owl! How are you
much better today
I'm glad to see you're felling better today featherbee
hey min!
i'm fine, it was poor daniel who threw up most of yesterday
hi, minver, I keep going in and out of chat looking up stuff
one more public service message...the babble book club has splintered off of goodreads. it is at http://babblebookclub.proboards75. com/index.cgi
just thought of an icon clue, off the install
well, I need to go pick up the other stidkid from school... if Scrabbler comes back, please give her my love and tell her I'll be back later... will check my email then.

go5.20 gu5 is a southern dish, go5 ends the same way
I think you want bo5/22, Owl. Think of a descriptive word for dried mucous in the no4
TY, Lynxxx. I have seen that spelled gu***.
TO, bo 5/12 is the bo*** man who scares kids
tx scrabbler and inge !
we're gonna get on the floor, and we're gonna bo5/22 woogy woogy till we just can't bo5/22 no more

Hi Dorens !
hi dorens !

Heigh ho, heigh ho, it's off to Babble we go...

doren, you had workt oday?
You have ESP, Owl. I am searching for LA words too.
I did indeed.... we were off yesterday though
at the risk of showing my ignorance, who is dr. 90210? (plastic surgeon?)
niece & nephew had both days off, but their mother's scholl had no time off. yes, doren!
I was given the most amazing CD today. All piano music by the Japanese compoiser Takemitsu played by Kotaro Fukuma, 2003 Cleveland wiinner. Really contemplative music like those zen gardens they create
Sounds relaxing, Inge.
inge, have you heard the soundtrack from "memoirs of a geisha"? our yoga teacher uses it for cool down
la6.18 la + its as plain as the **** on yr face
perfect music to water your plants by---if you have as many in the house as we do
sounds lovely. i could use that after the day we had today in school
ok lynx, do you have a clue for the other?
Are you seeing lots of anxious, depressed kids with headaches and stomachaches, Doren? Because we are.
Prfect music for relaxation
Hello Dorens! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
hi xris
hm... is something going around? (I was just thinking it was the death of favorite teacher's husband, who used to come around so we all knew him -- and first week of school jitters)
re 8 please
hi min. i'm good, and you?
the other la6.18 - la + a ba**** is a large fabric sign held up by fans at games
greenbay, think of "how does that sound?"
Not illnesses, Doren, but kids that hate school, are sleep deprived, etc.---->school refusal and phobia. (So sorry about the man's death.)
ty lynx, that's the one!
Hello flip! How are you doing? Welcome to the puzzle!
Hello cheeky! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
TY for la6, Lynxxx
yes, and so many kids who are ruling the roost at home have a hard time adjusting to the fact that they have to come to school
re8/40 is re + a male child plus past tense of to chew
Yes, Doren. Such problems for kids in messed up homes!
ha, no kidding there dorens!
Are kids truly getting worse (I think they are) or I am becoming a curmudgeon (I know I am) or are both happening (apparently so)?
hey, the book i'm reading "The Reluctant Fundamentalist" is so good I actually thought about it in school and wanted to come home to read it. and i'm thinking of !! walking away from the grid to read it first!!!! gasp
xris
both scrab.... definitely in my case
doren, what is the book about?
I agree, Doren, and it makes my job very unfun and frustrating.

sly and the family stone, everybody is a st** + it's as plain as the **** on your face
The st6/18 word is st plus an 4/4 word 72 Temple Owl
ah, i suppose that also may have been done by dr. 90210...ty!
ra 6/24 - like the 5/10 & 6/18 above it
mo5 after the French mo4
oh, the book club is being splintered off of goodreads to this site: http://babblebookclub.proboards 75.com/index.cgi that way people can still be a part of goodreads, and not feel like they have to be in a book club. plus, i like those message boards better for a book club!

what does it mean when they say "you can't afford to miss" a television show? how does that even make sense? you might regret missing something you really wanted to see, but where does AFFORDING come into it?
now, a sale, maybe you can't afford to miss
but a show?
is hursh on a rant?
your life, without that show, is not worth living anymore
i don't know, am i? i was just wondering, and thinking it was silly, but if it is a rant, so be it.
hurshy is being logical in a world of illogic
or maybe the show is about money saving tips?
bl6/27 please?
lol thing that protrudes from her face??
i like rants, rant on DIGERIDOOOOOOOO DOOO

heck, i go on every day despite the fact that the love of my life is thousands of miles away and will probably never love me. and i'm ok. so i just don't see where missing a show is going to be any big deal.
sorry DR!!!
i thought your cats lived with you hursh?
That ok Flask; you found it and thatis what counts

I don't like surprises.
It happens to the best of us!Wish it was a word I did not have yet Jacula. Wanna give away anymore word
Dunno, Min. What words would you wish me to give away?
'Night, Jellen.
Thank you for the ta 6/18 clue.I just found the word
yvw Min
te 6/24 please
hello all!
I don't like surprises too much either.Like when I log onto Babble and the word count is over 400 words!
LOL, Min.
HI STID
Hi stidmama! How are you? Welcome back to the chog
I will die at age 93...drowning in my own body sweat.
Thanks for the informative link, nut
hey miz stid - groooovy digeridoo
Hi, Stid. Glad to see you're not shouting at us as you arrive this time. *grins*
i put my death in the babble-cast blogspot page, to share with all
Hi digeridoo! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
TE 6/24 please
welcome back Diger
think you'll work enough at age 93 to sweat doo doo?
thank you, ork. It's good to be here
:-) I am glad to be back, Jac! I see you "helped" a few players find a word tonight? but alas! I arrived just too late for it to help me...
I think it will be excess sweat from my 80's
If I am lucky, and, no, I've not checked out the how you will die site, I'll either go in my sleep unexpectedly or go whilst gardening. A bit of a shock for those left behind, but not so bad as me going a a prolonged ill fashion .. for me or for them.
Ork, that's a new one. No one has ever call me that.
why, what's your usual abbreviated moniker?
we call her Min...
the death sites deaths are much more fun jac
re8?
ahh, that would make a good amount of sense
i calls her minver
nm found it
I am totally not going to finish today I think. No heart in it. oh well... how about I beg for clues for the biggies and call it good?
te6/24 rhymes with surname of Paul B who played Chaucer in the film 'A Knight's Tale'.
well, I figure nut's nut, so minver could be ork?
the BLoody BL words have me stymied... how about the BL 5/16 and I'll see if it helps me get to the 8?
but i'm nut cause i'm a nut
yes, she'd be nut if her screen name were "drop dead gorgeous" ;-)
and how do we know ork isn't an orc?
No, nut... death sites are not amusing in any way whatsoever. Not to me, anyway.
stid -- bl5/16 you are not, you're brunette and bright
or are all Tolkien creatures truly mythical.
thanks Jill! though you know, I was actually born a tow-head...
hi all
Well you can call me anything you want to. I've been called much worse! My real name is Sarah by the way.
and hi! did you have a super week? I had a surreal one...
Tolkein creatures cannot be truly mythical because they contain many human traits.
Sorry Sarah, I meant no offense.
oh! I love the name Sarah... it's a beatific sounding one.
My name is David, and I suppose I would be an Ent if any Tolinen creature, though I have the feet of the hobbits.
stid -- there are 5 BL words related to that one
and that is ALL the Bloody BL words! :-)
Hello Jillibus! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
greeting ding dongs - where;s the nut?
hi ren
heya ding a dong!
Stid! Stop swearing! This is a family site! LOL
hey jilli!!!
ren, go see how you die!
RENSTER! hi!
Hello renfield! How are you doing?Welcome to the grid
TE 6/24 please
Hiya, renny. You're in the grdi today... not 'allowed' though.
well you know Jac, I would use the other BL***ing BL word, but that's too close to one of the grid words!
hey little dingy nut!
By the way stidmama, my icon clues the bl 5/16 word

Congratulations meliae on your fireworks! Good for U
thank you Shady manages to finally monkey it

ok, "monk" just made me cry
that was a really cool episode

august 12th
Hello eieios! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid!
no, it was a very very touching moment
thanks for the backup hursh!
feather - hormones run amok after childbirth.
hello, been lurking, stealing clues. =)
how was you anniversary feather?
it was the season finale
hi eieios
i cry for those every time on tv, hardly ever in real life, odd
not sobbing crying, just eyes really welled up.
pretty boring stid. he's out getting groceries.
yes, that, nose feels funny, eyes water
people should really not go around saying things are just hormones, it's really condescending to poor feather.
oh dear, oh dear, I will die at age 108 in a hang glding accident, That does it, Gute Nacht!
ah. you've been married "that long" have you?!? rofl
(so have we)
bl6/27 - 2nd to last is male fair headed, plural.
feather seems ok to me,...you ok feather?
inge, of you I can believe it! :-D
how do you know how you are going to die? please share?
lol, yes i am, but thank you for the defense hurshy! i appreciate the thought behind it
yep, 11 years
sry meant second to last bl...which would be the last bl6/27
i think i am going to die by drowning in packing peanuts
I am not going to die, eieios, I am going to get stuck in a grid some day and just never come out...
which is pretty close to the other one...
pl of dingbats, minus a vowel
hursh - I can only speak from my own experience.... don't know what's going on in feather's life right now, aside from Daniel getting sick... other than that... like I said... hormones are off in the trenches in France...
better check the site to be sure hursh
that wouldn't be such a bad way to go, stid
Hi wvteach! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
we were high school sweethearts, been together since i was 16, married when i was 22
pretty good...been here for a bit...just trying to finish up
what a fluffy way to die hurshy
what site is this nut?
oh, good death ingy thingy!!!

yep, you got it!
i will check it out, nut. sounds interesting
hmmm....feather, my wife and I have the same story
ok, back to playing with message board colors
cool wv
it is...even if i don't die of a lightning strike like how i want
RE 8 please?
except we were 15 (well almost 16)
ok, too tired to maintain chat across multiple rooms/sites...nic eto see everyone, have a great night/day
wvt - so do me and my ex-hubby...
re 8/40 is re plus male child plus past tense of chew.
later shady!
thansk Min!
Does anyone still need clues for the grid now?
yw
Does anyone have a clue for the te 9/78 word please
Oops, I just made the same mistake Jacula made b-4!
I just monkeyed the st 8...
i do
thanks for that word too Min...
STupendous STidmama!
88, freak accident with a banana.
te9 = te5/10 (bright fish in seea or a tank) + science ending. Which is an lo4.
i will die at age 60, choking while trying to eat a live hamster....
Hello Jessica123! How are you? Welcome to the grid!
ooh. thanks Jac!
good thanks
freak accident with a banana?? I hardly dare ask for details.
ohmy eieio's, my death seemsmild by comparison!
y/w, stid.
i don't think that thing is very scientific.
okay, I have all the 8s and the 9. off to discover my destiny... brb
You don't say, hursh? LOL
besides, now all eieios has to do is avoid eating hamsters for a year.
it's not as tricky as with oedipus
could someone help me with al5/10?
ummm. which babblecast page holds this oracular thingy nut?
is too hursh...i'm looking out for that caffeine, i can tell you that
that is what i am thinking
the one in friends stisd
i will die at age 93 and will be killed by Mars aliens as they invade earth...
Hursh - if you want scientific... think of the cancr specialist who ate among us when 125 of us got together for a school reunion. Two of us (we were 45 then) had died of cancer .. 2 had died in road accidents... about 3 more had contracted cancer but been reprieved... oh, that made such (not) nice dinner convo.
appropriate sisser
Oh! Ren and I are both dying at 93! If we were the same age, this would be even more significant!
I am totally lost nut, I know of three babblecast sites and not seeing it.
how come i have to die at 61 and everyone else gets to be old?
except the Mars thing is way cooler than my death.
i am a little freaked out. my mom may know somebody who knows somebody who lives across the street from me
I have to admit - my last word was an6/24. It has taken me all day to get it - boy do I feel dumb now that I have it.
stid, there is a link in friends of babble, the blogspot page.
i'll trade you nut.
We had our 50th birthday party some months ago, not the official one, that's still to come...
going to watch 300. won't finish tonight. see you later.
300 is a bad movie. I loved it.
enjoy
if my mom tells this person who tells the other person who lives across the street from me, then what happens if someday i have a guy sleep over? my every move could be reported back to my mother.
Hello autumn moon! How are you? Welcome to the grid
Nut - from what \I could see in the place we had to put my Dad into... there is nothing to be said for 'being old'! Well, not old and confused, anyway.
nvm, found it! okay, 93 when the chimpanzees take over the earth. ha. I should hope to live that long!
al 5/10 is the place where the bride meets the groom for the wedding.
Hello Katydid0616! How are you? Welcome to the grid
hey...i got one body, i want my life's worth out of it.
ursh, it's a long game of telephone (operator, however you call it) information is bound to be skewed by the time it reaches your mom.
Hi Min! Life is good! how's life for you?
Dopn't smoke or drink then, nut.
Does anybody have a clue for the bl 8/55 word please
Oh, and don't overeat either!
why not? it's the caffeine that supposedly kills me
i'm going to die at age 92, by trying to be the first to mail myself around the world.
eat, drink, and be merry
I'm doing well autumn moon! I am almost finished here
still, i don't like the potentialities. i like a good healthy zone of mom-free-ness
I do, Min, it's your icon, the very most one. add a commom ending to it.
i've been popping in and out all day (since 11 this morning)
Min. bl855, is what your icon was. (hair color to the max)
Can you post that link? Not famililar with babblecast.
blackout curtains
bl8/55 = the most fair-haired.
eat good food in reasonable quantities, drink nice things in moderation, and avoid mean people. and the rest... take chances and have fun (or what is life for anyway?)
um...sure, hangon
any clues for the bo5/14 after the drum, and the bo6 after that?
the car in the driveway...
http://www.quizopolis.com/how_will_i_d ie_quiz.php
bo 5/14 is bo + double consonant plus a vowel jillibus.
bo 5/14 - bo*** fete - happy birthday
around the block
How stupid am I!I ask for a clue that is my icon! DUH!
bo5/14 = a child's nanny or maybe an old-fashioned hat without the 't' at the end?
jilli, french maiden.
or an outdoor car cover
Thank you for the bl 8/55 word.I just found the word
hoo boy, French words, who knew?
ooh, or a hologram!
... a big one
don't have a block, or a car cover (besides, the car being covered doesn't change there being an extra car in the driveway
Thanks all
Well done, Min, though I am truly rofling here.
an expertly placed piece of shrubbery?
rofling -- great neologism!
i rent, i can't plant shrubbery.
but, have you got a hologram i can borrow?
I put in the link & it says the webpage can't be found
I do, but it's currently guarding my secret entrance to the batcave.
gotta run - see you another day!
well where did you get it? maybe i can order one.
I'm ashamed to ask for the last ea4...
I might be able to part with it...but Alfred would give me hell for it.
I think we are all truly, deeply, bonkers!
bye autumn!
Bye autumn moon! I'll see you tomorrow in this chog!
eh, doesn't matter, the having a guy over is wishful thinking anyway.
night autumn
Actually, I got it down in Metropolis. See, I know this guy who works in LexCorp...
We're that bonkers that that not even net trolls can cope for long when they decide top invade us.
Brilliant!
nm, got the ea, duh
wait, batcave AND lexcorp? i can't take it
lol
Can I please have a clue for the ae 6/18 word please?
Hursh - early days yet. There will be a guy you want in your life and in your bed again one day.... but not just yet. xxx
all part of the ever expanding DC universe (or multiverse).
ae6 is to put air into, Min. Fishslap!
min -- ae6 is why you wear spiky shoes to freshen up your lawn
how about the et6 & 7?
i dont get it?
got the et6
et 6/18 is e plus ta 5/10 word jillibus and plural word.
thanks min
Just wandered back--((((HUGS))))) hursh! There will be that man...
yw
well either you do or you don't, but we don't know. i'll give odds on you don't.
i just signed up what does ea6 and that stuff mean?
Hi Jilli - just met a friend of yours from library, Sue, up at the fair grounds
woohoo! *collects on bets*
hi flosey -- she's a barrel of fun!
chatted for a bit, very pleasant
thank you jac and pam btw
No thanks needed!
brb
We say 1st 2 letters of word & then the letter count in the word and then point score Jessica123.
Jessica - go to 'Help at top right and then down to Angelsong's page , bottom left, and then start play.
123, I don't understand much of it either, but here goes: ea=the first two letters of a word to find. the first number equals the amount of letters in the word, and the second number is the amount of points yet I understand not how those points accrue.
Can I please have a clue for the ra 6/24 word please?
four letter words, the points are straight. five, double, six, triple, etc etc
thanks everybody for helping me
Numbers on the bottom of the tiles refer to its value.
Dorens dashing son... digeridoo - check out the help icon up right! It explains the scoring system. I do wish you males would read the help manuals! LOL
digeridoo is dorens' son?
dashing...wow, I haven't been called that in a long time.
thanks!
so many relatives join but then they fade away. we haven't seen any stidkids in a while.
LOL
help, shmelp, males need that not. it's like instructions for assembling a VCR! or a map! ha!
speaking of which... old jedi don't die, they only fade away
ra6/24 is the ra5/10 (cane furniture word) with the sometimes vowel to end it.
im not a man
they jus put dat pic
oh dear saints alive
ah, neither am I sometimes
lol
Thank you for the ra 6/24 word. I must got the word
diger--seems you 've got your mum's sense of humor!!!!
Hursh - what a terrible joke! Actually, in my house, with this fuse box, they'd blow all the lights out.. and then one of us would have to find a walking stick to jab the outed switch in the too high fuse box upwards again.
don't tell her! I don't think she'd like that
LOLOL, diger!
nobody likes to have their sense of humor stolen.
diger - LOL.
not stolen. Borrowed, modified, then improved upon.
enhanced...
oooooh that's dangerous talk if it should get back to dorens
shall I call her?
hold on...
LOLOLOLOLOL
Now, let's get serious... you males can't always solve it or find it without instructions. Stop trying to be so macho and look at the instuction books when we aren't looking. LOL
I am finished! Thank you all for your wonderful clues!
I think she's asleep.
Well done, Min.
Confession: If i use the instructions, it is as a general guide for the most part... only if power tools are involved do I try to FOLLOW them...
Congratulations, ork!
Congrats, Min!!!!!!
tranny should be in the grid...
and rangoon
Actually, it is in the grid, it should count as a word...
i knew what you meant
actually rangoon was renamed yangon :)
What IS it these days with folks trying NOT to read instruction manuals. The can be very amusing, you know. Especially if badly tranlasted from Cantonese.
isn't rangoon a proper noun? A place?
crab rangoon
Or badly translated from Russian!!!!!!
I can clue for a little while longer?Anybody need clues
it's a food
Rangoon used to be the capital of what used to be Burma I think

The family are all well, I have just been being overworked again lately -- by the time the kids are in bed I am ready to fall asleep myself and usually do
you missed Lucky, and here he is, trying to crawl into my lap to say hello to you, oh vulpine one!
OK, I have to go before I am caught on this site again. It's already happened once today
later david, nice to meet you...
hi HK, woulf, and (giggle) Lucky
nice talking to you mom, I'll call you later. Happy New Year, all!
Dorens - I get accused daily of indulging my first born, my son... but I would not indulge him tto the degree that you do on Babble. Babble is MY ground!
hi hk - welcome to the grid! how are you this evening? *in a minnish voice*
hiya jili!

*sigh* my "cheat sheet" of holiday expressions is on a backup disk somewhere...

girds lions?
no ping! how did your pup handle it, well?
he was so amazing!
La shanah tovah?
David - stop repressing your mother! I'll be over there to beat you with a blunt instrument soon, if you don't pack that childish crap up real soon.
the lions are dangerous enough without giving them help, stid
i've written about him - could email you a short essay if you like
quick FYI, the babble book club is being splintered off of the goodreads site for convience of message boards and to allow goodreads to continue to just be a site for sharing books you've read in the past and get ideas of books to read in the future. the book club home message board will be: http://babblebookclub.proboards75. com/index.cgi
DIgs adapt well to being tripods. Well indeed.
same to you, stid
*grin* typos...
Oh dear, HK! But there was a beautiful champion Gt Dane, a top winner in the US, who had to have a front leg removed for that reason. He was later brought as a visitor to the big GDClub of America Specialty show so that everyone could see how well he was still able to move and how beautiful he still was and he lived a long time after that.
that's great pingy!
The ae 6/18 word is ae plus an ra 4/4 word stidmama
ty nonnie
i've been playing with background and board/font colors, etc, so the look of it might change slightly by the time we're ready to discuss october's book

nonnie - first we notices a little limping, then he developed a lump, rather quickly on his front leg joint, had a x-ray, our vet 99% sure of diagnosis, sent us to specialty vet, did chest x-ray, it's a very aggressive form & lungs are next place it usually goes, but chest x-ray was clean, so that is the best news we could have had
night min -- sleep tight
an 6/24 anyone?
monk was great. i didn't pay much attention to psych as i was playing on the computer, but just saw a good last moment on it

Last ta 5/10 help ???
set your vcr or tivo
um, you answered your own question moo.....
Thanks, Hursh!
rofl... probably a first in the chat log!
that is funny mool
that is real ironic
hubby having a problem with dog's "dignity" affected - much discussion (arguing) about who's dignity he's really talking about - like i said: one the one hand, dignity, on the other hand breathing!
ta 5/10 + something used to seal roads
hk, I see...I'm glad about the chest x-ray coming back negative--good news!
I vote we give out a "moo" award for when people do that!
oh, feather, yes, that was a good ending :)
the Gt Dane had just as much dignity as ever, and an air of pride
did you know they are dating in real life? i would give anything to be her.
seconded, stid! And thanks for the help, moo ;-D
AL 5/14 please?
lol hursh
jili - yes, that's what i read on the testimonial web site i found - ' cassie's club'

people were always expressing pity over jake - he was always joyful though - did not recognize emotions other than love
that was the only one I had to clue ironically
congrats, moo!
YAY, MOO~
wtg moo!
tx nonnie
stid, last night ruru did the same thing as moo but took much longer to work it out, with sprite clueing "n e 1" to boot! (Right, ruru?)
ping - i read a couple of stories about how other dogs react with curiosity, but never with pity, it's interesting how we so much put our human perceptions & beliefs on animals & yet they are so different, so pure
Yay moo!!!
yay for mooli!!!!!!!!!!
typing one hsnded now, dog on right arm...
es 6 please?
tx jilli
I still am stuck on the TA 5/10 the last one
big mansion, stid
I think I have tried every combination
I think I have tried every combination
so -- I's still being thick about those la6/18s (rhymes with a tool?)
true, hk - it was funny when children would point or ask about his missing legs and parents would shush them as though it would hurt the dog's feelings
thanks nonnie
yw stid
lol ping - i can just see that
hehe stid, welcome to m world! it takes a lot longer to type one handed, doesn't it
I ask -- people or animals... when something is obvious, it doesn't seem wrong to inquire.
i agree stid
feather - how are you doing?
okay is et 6 easy or hard?
i'm good, thanks helen
ruru -- the last ta5 was clued a little while ago -- ta + stuff used to seal roads (*** and feathers too)
hard for me...I haven't found it yet.
It is always amazing how intense the reaction is (for myself as well) when a person or animal has a disfigurement
Ok I kept going to the r first I see my problem... I am done now thank you
congrats ruru!
YAY ruru!!!
thank you.
how was school this week, stid?
But I have found that it is merely the initial shock at seeing an image outside of what is expected
heading out for the night, bye!

bye bye feather
had SO MUCH FUN ping! thanks! even got to do an art project today...
sweet dreams feather!
about 25 years ago, i accidently cut both tendons on my right pinkie finger & it is permanently crooked after 4 surgeries, but people i've known for years upon noticing are soooo amazed they never saw it before
niters feather
jilli la 6/18 rhymes with a certain tool
Everytime, I have found that when I make it past the surface and take the time to ask questions, the person is almost never unwilling to discuss it, and in fact, seems to find it refreshing
I really really love being with the kids and all... but I am so not comfortable with the parents (aside from their perfumes/colognes to which I am allergic) -- and one child reeks of tobacco and my skin starts to itch just being nearby.
la 6/18 = la + facial feature
oh helen! wow. I have crooked pinkies too, but those are natural
moo, I know you gavev me that clue before but I don't get it, sorry
Jill! it's a plain as the feature in the center of your face!
either of them?
Because once the questions are out of the way, the real friendship can begin without bias
so... how's about the et 6 please?
la + double consonant (same one) + common word ending
ah, thanks, moo & stid -- now I need the la6/18 before that one
et 6 e + bird claw
yes gw - i love to recall the story of how i almost cut my finger off at 2am while scraping wax off candlestick holder, just waiting for my tea to boil - thank god grad school roomate was at home to keep me awake & take me to er
that's the clue I just gave you jilli
thanks moo, that was another I didn't have
et 6 & 7 -- e + claw & pl
yw woulf
That is what I have found also Woulf. I have had the experience of always being on the pretty side of normal... but my best friends were often not so lucky. I felt privileged to know them because they were a lot less shallow than most of the others I knew....
thanks for the help jill and moo!
that clears my E words!
yw stiddy
moo, there are two la6/18s
yes
I gave you different clues
Jill, the first la 6 was just clued by woulf
la + double consonant (same one) + common word ending
oops. I meant moo... *rubs eyes and refocuses*
lobstar :)
heh
so, my friend is having a 25 wedding anniversary party on sunday, does not want presents, has everything she needs plus more - but i must get her something, any ideas?
GO 5/20 perchance?
I am too busy hunting to clue right now -- I came in with over 100 to go and still have 74 left to find
ahhh yes, i tried "lobstar," it seemed so right, lol
go 5/20 sounds like someone misspelling a popular louisiana dish
chat moving fast -- I guess I missed the woulf clue
la6/18 is similar to the 2nd ta6/18
what about a gift certificate to one of their favorite spots or a donation to a favorite charity in their name?
new orleans chicken G**** stidmama - usually written with a U as 1st vowel
it was me cluing you for the 4th time jilli :D
i had mooli's clue for lunch today :)
helen, in cases like that, perhaps a "coupon" for a "girl's night out"? at a spa or something. Fun for both of you, and something nice like a bride might enjoy...
thanks montreal!
nonnie - a good idea, any tie-in to the silver theme?
and moo...
:)
My recommendation would be a small token such as a poem that represents your relationship, hk, along with a small specially framed pic that has special meaning
ah, good one, woulf
mmmm. I found the coffee word!
I like that idea woulf!
yw stidmama
:-)
stid - must be a present for both & funny enough that is what they gave themselves, a spa day at the peninsula hotel here in chicago, where brangelina just stayed, they figured if it was good enough for them .... & they just loved it!
ok gw - a poem, good one! i wonder why i never thought of that, need it rhyme?
of course not, hk -- the phrasing is what evokes the image, not whether or not you found a word to match with orange
HK -- I was at a party tody for a couple celebrating 50 years of marriage -- but not to each other. Each was married happily but widowed, then 8 years ago they hitched up and now live together happily. Both their families came to the celebration, and they ordered "no gifts" but supplied a box where people could donate to the local food bank. Great idea, and the box overflowed.
I thought moog was a word?
Jill, that is a lovely idea! and a great story.
Moog was a guy who invented the synthesizer for music, I think.
i think moog is a brand name
wow jili - that's cool!
I love the idea, jill!
okay, so like kleenex or ford then. oh well...
Moog was also the guy who played goalie in the NHL :)
i'm missing an RE 5/10, not the kidney stuff nor the plural of the re 4/4, the other one - any clues please ?
my last M word is the 5/16 after the mo6?
Who was Mr(s) Kleenex?
lol jill
ever see "Something About Mary" stid?
our satellite + the sometimes vowel stid
ae
no -- I have that one...
sounds like a fruit stid...only replace one vowel
I was wondering about this the other night...how come our satellite doesn't have a name but other planet's do? Or does ours and I'm just ignorant?
no moo -- I never saw the mary movie... *thinking*
oh then - MO + the african country "the Co***" stid
good question, nonnie
well moon was originally the name
then it became a definitive
our satellite's name is "m4" or luna...
it was actually luna
ah! that was it montreal! thanks!
eventually becoming moon
nonnie - it is THE moon, all the others are just plain old moons & need names for sake of differentiation
so you like monty's clue over mine?
wtg stid !
or what mooli said
heh
well, it was easier... LOL but not more clever!

na5 -- nasal cavities -- it is one of those that only appears as a plural
i'm missing an RE 5/10, not the kidney stuff nor the plural of the re 4/4, the other one - any clues please ?
*blush* thanks woulf....
sorry, montreal -- don't have it -- heck, I didn't have the other two until you asked :-D

sorry about that jilli
np nonnie...
montreal... you want first three letters the same as previous word + british abbreviation for Thanks Alot
I think it's sort of a lasso?
no 6 is something that is not a picture, song, poem, sculpture, performance etc
so moo, if an6 asks, tell them to throw a falcon in the works, lol
