Hi, circe
hey jellen!
i'm on a great sleepy music station
just spent the last 3 hours copying a couple of my dad's tapes to dvd. when i went thru his stuff when he died 12 yrs ago, there were about 2 dozen videos he made, of family, jobs he did (construction)... all this time i've held onto them, and now with technology, i can not only Save them forever on dvd but can edit it all down into something useable
thx for the aa 5/10... don't think I have ever seen that one before
brb
oh gracious...I am sorry ot hear that. Good thinking with the lawyer tho...I will keep my fingers crossed for you all....sending courage for the whole family.

Franny I feel your pain, my sister just died June 30th

or new zealand
(sigh)
:)
maybe they will like New Zealand better lol
why timmie?
lmao- yes, i'l suggest it kiwi
(being an american is so embarrassing sometimes...)
dunno i guess email gives me time to second guess what i wanna say
(in a world in which sometimes= often)
im sure we will all forgive you for that lol
timmie, you can write freely to me - or you could email questions and i'll write back... and then you'll get used to it... and we'll have rehabilitated your emailing
Hi all

good eve natasa happy babbling
Hi, natasa

hi natasa

how do au singers not have accents?
voice training/coaching?
so computer people... i have this thing i want, and i want to know if there's something out there that can make it happen for me...
(i didn't know if it was just something about singing)
and what does you need studdie?
i'm making the protocall forms for the adolescent health visits. i'd like for there to be some computer form thing that tracks the answers and dumps them into my email so i can sort them out
yes
it is alot like shopping carts
like, the questions will basically sort their needs... and i need to know their needs
hmm
ok
how would i go about this type thing
is there a program or a language i can learn?
visual basics is prolly all you need
you can get a website (hint hint lol) and set up online forms that have questions/answers drop down menus etc they fill them in online and they get emailed to you
fireworks
have a ye 8 -- what is the other one?
and all you see is their answers to the questions
yay dee!!!
wow
yay dee!!
woohooo dee wtg
lmao - i promise you can make the website when i need it
ga 8 nan
ga 8
fireworks

hiya back at your lovely babblers :)
hugs to you all cya the flip

hi.. bye helen
k- timmie, your first step in the email 12 step is to tell mw what i need
hmm
interesting
hi hk!
bye dee!
bye dee!
Bye, Dee
interesting in this kinda vaguely get it and am kinda just glossy eyed excited that you two know what you're talking about and a random idea for a program - which lets be honest, i basically invented :) exists
fran whens your bday?
youre so good to all of us... youre such a hug
i am not the person to do it but i do know it can be done
who me stud?
if it's learnable by a non-techie i can do it, i just need to know what book to get to teach me
yes you fran :)
al 5/10 pls!
web design for dummies is a good place to start
or your it consultant for work (if you have one) would be a good place to start to talk about an intranet - i cant do that for you from over here but i can do a external website
lmao- ya know? the dummy books don't seem to work for me
hello peeps
my birthday is Nov. 9th, last year we did purple day for icons.
i have a vert good html book i will get the title for you
oh i remember that fran
hi jilli!
hi jilli
Hi, jilli

and it has online tutorials
i just got through a bunch of gre for dummies chapters and i can't pass a damn test
good eve jilli happy babbling

If you are familiar with html tags arachnophilia is an excellent freeware editor:
:)
k TS I will try
night
arachnophilia: http://vps.arachnoid.com/arachnophilia
sleep well
swwet dreams
love of spiders?
and thank you kiwi :) from both of us... (she's chewing my ear)
niters to leavers
sweet dreams :)
yvw :)
hi jilli -- I'm still here for a short while! -- half way but struggling
timmie! Swwet dreams?
I have to go, too. Long day tomorrow.
I guess that is what arachnophilia is, jilli, but it is also the name of the html editor I have been using for the last 15 years.
nite jellen sweet dreams
nan, I've done very little html -- a bit on our library's former website -- using Elizabeth Castro's book. Must look at the spider site, lol!
a blessed morning to all of ye babblers
good eve sprite happy babbling
i use a mix of dreamweaver or net objects fusion for my designs
Ay Sprite, you're sounding a wee bit o' Irish this morn
i tell ya what..this game is getting to me....morning all...
dreamweaver was too expensive for me, groovy and other programs I looked at all used templates -- I like to design my own pages from scratch
I wish, chic, I wish... I am a wannabe :)
hi rolin
hiya sprite
good eve rolin happy babbling
must google net objects fusion -- never heard of that!
i comeinto play....i scroll down the chat...and when i see a one word reply...i go oooh.. is that a word someone has put in by accient...lol
sprite - nice pick on the video yesterday :)
*accident
i love it nan - its a drag and drop style but its soooooo much more than that
LOLLLLL rolin... you suffer from babblitis!
I am glad you liked it, helen :D
*sigh*...and i hear theres no cure...
ole y
I decided to make the only criterium whether or not it is a video that makes me feel good. Can be a smile, or a touch of the heart, or a feeling of strenght... as long as it is good.
no rolin - it only gets worse
im doomed groovy...lol..
rolin: no cure, but one helluva support group of co sufferers :)
hey sprite...what video are you refering to?
whats worse is that you spend all your time reading through the chat and never get the grid finished lol
the babble expert videos this week... lickety bombarded me to the one responsible this week.
nan, I have enough to do right now without designing web pages! Yes, Dreamweaver etc are too expensive. For the library I used 1st Page normal -- pretty primitive, I suspect., and the ancient WS_FTP95LE
hmm..pls remind me about babble expert...i think i joined...but its slipped from memory
has anyone NOT seen the shadow puppetry going around on utube?
its so brilliant www.youtube.com/watch?v=UCn3mYR97YM
hi sprite -- enjoyed your "annoying" video Sept 17, lol!
jilli i have a copy of both of those on here which ive used extensively over the years
it is the special browser lickety designed for babble. It adds easy access to the 2nd letter clues, resourses, the info on mrP and family and much more. But more important even: it adds the Lickety Add: type in one word and it goes to the list. Type in more and they go to the chat.
jilli, I am glad :) It was good for a smile, right?
I did Kiwi, very cool indeed.
still haven't spotted that ga 8 yet, but have an early tee time tomorrow so will leave it for tomorrow -- good night all :)
think about where you go to see lots of art nan
lol, we have had that one as fireworks video on lickety! I wanted to pick it and then remembered.
bye nan
and thanks for telling me about the ga8, got it.
have a good game, nan! My bridge partner's tee time is 9 am
how do i access it sprite??
what is a tee time, jilli?
groovy...i just look at the utube show...its fantastic..
i know rolin - best thing ive seen in a long time
actually best thing ive seen thats non violent in a long time
good nite everyone
just send an email to lickety, rolin, and you get your download link. You download it and run it, and that is all.
made it 1/2 way - whew
night helen
night helen, sweet dreams to you :)
Kiwi, have you heard of the Flight of the Conchords? the 2 guys from New Zealand who do satire singing their songs. You tube has a lot of their stuff very funny!
sprite -- golfing term -- the time the player is due on the first tee. The tee is the place where you drive off towards the hole, many yards/metres away. Not in a car, though - lol!
great thx..i will do..
a tee time in golf is the time reserved to tee off beginning a round of play
oh i lvoe them chic - their american tv show finally hit our screens this week so watched it last nite
oooohhhh.... ok, I did know that. I thought it was a bridge term as well and did not know that :D
night helen
have you seen them do their puppetry of the peni$?
yes I just finished their seroes on HBO the other week. No I haven't seen that one...
lol, I even have that on dvd, Kiwi. Soooo funny.
lol sprite -- my 82-year-old bridge partner is also a golf nut and still plays 18 holes.
you mean there are more people like you, jilli? I should consider emigrating, lol.
lots of very sharp and healthy oldies here, sprite
if you can get hold of a copy chic its brilliant - quite weird but very good
that is so wonderful, jilli. Knowing that makes me happy :D
it's probably on youtube everything el4 is! lol
lots of Dutch people here too, sprite!
wow jilli! Let's make a deal... you just go on living like you do and when I end up alone here, I come to you. Hubby will never want to emigrate, but I might :D
*when should be if, I think*
ohhh my neice is in the grid tonite ri 5/14
is she, Kiwi, or is it her name?
her first name is
morning all.
oh wait... the king connected re does not work as ri... never mind my last post
sprite, I'll be ashes by the time that happens!
hi dc
good eve dc happy babbling
hey hey jilli, that was not part of the deal. You'd go on living like you do ;)
hi, kiwi, sprite, jilli
hi dc :)
strange grid today... it looks easy, but all of a sudden I find that I am only seeing words I have already... only in another place, lol.
um, sprite -- back to babblereality -- your "king" remark just gave me 2 words, thanks!
yw jilli :)
i agree sprite, it looks easy, but is oddly not so.
oh sprite, that happens so often!
this grids seems full of it :)
and I keep wanting to drag that Y next to one L.
woohoooo firewords for me
yay kiwi!
wtg Kiwi!
YAY kiwi!!!
tyk all - anyone for clues before i go find my pillow?
I am quite miffed that 'relag' is not valid. If there is one site that relags, it is this one.
not right now for me, kiwi, ty.
*hugs Kiwi goodnight* Not for me, thanks, still delightfully proddling on.
sigh, i always want to leave the h out of whorl
well plod to your hearts content and see ya all tomorrow nite hugs and happy babbling
pleasant dreams, kiwi
tyk dc and to you too when you get them
I'm off to bed, goodnight all - 54 to get in the morning
night flosey, sweet dreams
g'night flosey
I brb, need to grab me some breakfast
hey, you guys can just talk on while I am away, no need to shut up :D
(back, btw)
i've been bopping back and forth between working and here
night flosey -- I didn't see you till now!
i had a nice time this weekend at my family reunion.
just kidding, dc
that's great, dc!
sounds great, dc! Big family?
8 of 9 of my grandfather's generation, plus descendents. 6 of that generation attended this year.
wooooot! That is not big, that is huge. Must have been quite a party!
i'm related to a good % of Licking and Muskingum Counties in Ohio. So, yeah, a larg family.
wow, dc!
Sprite, great-grandma on that side was the 19th of 21 children.
21 children? 21?????? Your great-great-grandma was a heroin and a warrior, dc!
21 over 25 years, though the twins were stillborn, so only 19 raised to adulthood. So, yes, quite the woman she was.
those generations were SO prolific! I've been doing some family-tree stuff recently -- 10, 11 kids surviving...and I'm an only child!
well, that side of the family are farmers, so large family meant fewer hired hands.
sprite -- heroine, not a druggie!
mom's side, she and her 2 brothers, largest generation in a century.
ohhhhhhhh jilli! Dc I am SOOO sorry. I was thinking while typing... and I thought 'heroine' is the dutch spelling of the drug... argh! I mean HEROINE, a true lady hero.
Aloha Babblers!
i understood, sprite, and took no offence. Heroin was used as a painkiller back then ;)
thanks dc :) Would never ever want to offend you, nor your family!
hola, fran
nm, sprite, lol -- we knew what you meant!
hi dc! are you talking about the reunion?
My uncle joe spent last year restoring a 1948 $ a 1952 tractor, which he brought. The 48 was a model that great-grandpa, his father, had.
yes, fran
aloha oe fran (is that right? I don't remember)
hi jilli! hi sprite!
& not $ is what i meant :) below
i think aloha oe is when someone is leaving jilli.
yes, aloha oe is 'return to me'
oh. I was afraid of that -- anyway -- happy greetings to you, fran!
aloha by itself is just fine jilli. :-)
where did sprite go? did i scare her off?
we4, I would like it if fran would return to me
funny bit while there for me was my 8-yr old nephew running from a cow coming in for the night. He was terrified of her. It made me laugh.
:-)
of course, beef cattle, so her head comes up to mine, but still, it's a cow.
any clues for the first la 5,10?
i suppose if you haven't been around large animals, it can be pretty frightening.
dart, sounds like a man's name, ends in a double vowel.
yes, and unlike him, i spent summers on the farm most of my coming up years, of course, it was active back then. Today my aunt leases her land.
that's my first, don't have the list out yet.
thanks, fran!
yw jilli
is that the first one?
don't know dart, it's my first one, but i don't have the list out.
dart -- do you know about Lickety's list?
k....its my last word and it is driving my crazy lol
yes...thats what im working off of...never be able to do it without that :)
la + ***l a fish in
do you have that one?
that is my first too, indeed
yes...that one is later on the list
there you are sprite! i thought you hid when i showed up. :-)
oh cool, a favourite orange bird of mine is in the grid today :)
la 5 -- add desert-like: ***d
yes, dc, I like it too but don't see them here
is that the or dc?
ty bab thats the one i needed firewords
LOLLLL Fran, never! *hugs* I am chatting with a very dear friend on msn too.
yay dart!!!
i lived 24 years before i saw one in the wild.
yay dart
whoof, babrab, that's some weird word!
thanks babrab!
i swore i tried to monkey every which way...missed that one
YAY dart!!!
i read babrab's clue as dessert-like! i was very confused. :-)
yes, the or, like Baltimore Or******
I am still confused, with both meanings and spellings, lol
i'm confused by it too, sprite
there's an or5 that's a kind of window. the most common clue given for that or5 is that it sounds like the or6 bird. i wonder how it's going to be clued today?
i'd already gotten that one, which mabe me try the bird.
i got the bird first. :-)
i always try gari, the japanese dipping sauce for tempura.
I have the window, but not yet the bird, I think
or6/18 sprite, sounds similar
Sprite, the orange variety of bird is named for Baltimore, and their baseball team is named for the bird.
I have a plural window with that points total
the bird is after that one sprite.
errrr... of course, dc, thanks... *starts googling on baseball and baltimore and bird*
and starts in the other corner
Morning all, rather a lot of As today!
I tried oriowl. Now there is a bird.
hi FMitch :D
hi FM!
right, sorry, you wouldn't have that frame of reference for the North American Bird, City, nor Sport. :)
i love it sprite. :-)
ah, got it, thanks again :D
Hello evryone...including the happy unbirthday girl
Hi spritey sprite - I'm meeting Atalante for coffee this morning :) Hello Frannie!
i'm liking today's words.
awesome FM!
hi lynxxx!
howdy, fmitch, enjoy coffee time
owwwwww! I am jealous! But also happy for you both. Enjoy and gossip and have fun :)
hi lynxxx
oh, hi lynxxx, missed you there for a sec.
how is not having her birthday today?
Hi lynxxx and ds
*how = who
Hi
Hi DC.
LOL me sprite
howdy, infernal
hey infernal!
FM Sprite - from yesterday
I want a female seagu** to be a seaga**
Hi Infernal
Hi back
fran -- so far I agree with you about the kind of words except for the possibly Persian currency
lol, good one sprite.
FMitch: belated wishes of joy and happiness and great grids and all to you!
what does it start with jilli?
what does that currency start with, jilli?
OO -- who snuck in while I was elsewhere? FMitch? Herin?
hi lady
my favorite schnitzel is in the grid, that makes it a good one for me. :-)
that was the la5/10, the first one -- you have it
hi
and lynxxx jilli!
me too Jilli - Hi!
hi lynxxx!
oh, that one, thank goodness it's out of the way then.
*grin* thanks sprite. Hi jilli and Winnie.
ah, ok, didn't realise that was a currency, lol. It is listed in my brain under babblets.
and thanks jilli :)
hello everyone :)
hi mrp!
hi, mrp
good afternoon MRP
hi mrP!
hi mrp!
have I been a good girl or not, LOL. Did you kick lickety from me already?
which reminds me - Fran, how did you like The Frog?
I notice that a smattering of French will help with words today. Hi MrP.
hi all! I like your video today sprite :) and lickety was kicked and loved it ;0
oh, très bien, FMitch
Hi Mr Pres
LOL... bet he did, *very big grin* All picks approved of now?
can i have a clue for the WE 7 please
phantom: oregano
infernal, becomes tired
mumbles FIsh me
I thought i tried that
yes thank you sprite... very good selection
Morning all. Wouldn't you just know it......my cricket season has finished and the sun is shining
:-)
hi frances!
phantom -- weasel
Hi frances
hi frances
Hello Fran. How is paradise today?
hi frances.
Morning Frances, maybe that is why! Sorry for your cricket but yippee for the sun :)
we had a pretty bad weather day yesterday, it was raining cats and dogs. Today should have been better. But it started raining elephants and whales.
i just got to tell a user who wanted something tomorrow no, and to follow procedure. I love working helpdesk.
it was hot frances, but still beautiful. :-)
LOL sprite!
such power dc. :-)
lol ds, taste the power.
lol sprite!
good for you, dc :)
....and hello jilli, infernal, FMitch and anyone el4/4 I've missed.
Hi Frances
i live for those moments i get to say no. It really energizes my inner bureaucrat. :) And since i work for the gov't now, how apropos.
.......sprite and mrp....and lyn
thanks frances, didn't have the el4 yet!
hey Frances :)
hi frances :)
wonderful, dc :) One has to find ways to express each and every part of oneself ;)
How are you doing mrp and sprite, are things sorted now?
babblebook things you mean?
or videos for babble expert? Or life?
if you've figured out life, i'd like to hear about it.
oh sprite, I had to ask, that thingymebob we spoke of the other night, I did a babblecast and brought it up... should I have? or should I remove it?
Life sprite
wheee found the 9
yay sandbox!
wtg, sandbox!
why not mrP? No problem with me :)
yay sandbox, well done
fantastic, sandbox!
cool, will give him something to sort out
Frances: slowly sorting things out still. Learning to pace myself. Each time I think I learned, it seems my idea of pacing is what other people call rushing. But I am starting to feel better, ever so slightly. I can truly feel this is a learning period in my life, sigh ;)
Ga9 was my first word....just jumped out at me. But, do you think I can find the ga8.....no!
thanks for asking and caring, Frances. How are you doing?
Frances think most farty
Frances think The Tate, The National ....
I'm fine sprite. Now that cricket is over for the winter I have to somehow get myself into housework mode.
aw Frances... quite something different!
Doh Im cluing the 9
frances, it is like petrol and fibbing... with the 2nd vowel in the middle
Thanks infernal that did it for me.
That was my first word
thanks, for me it worked too :)
thanks mrp and infernal
ty fmitch, got it
does the ye8 have anything to do with the color?
no fran, more to do with young calves
No Fran. Think every twelve months.
just found it, after finding the 12 months!
lol Fran
ok, clues are suckage... shutting up now
sor rite
talk about twisty!
*hugs mrP* nothing you do is ever suckage
actually, mrp, the clue was helpful for me
sorry guys, I come from farm land :)
me too MRP - got it straight away from yr clue
worked fine for me
MR PRes you are not suckage
Suckage? Great description mrp.
and as you missed earlier, i spent teh weekend on a farm, and spent summers on one growing up. :)
dc is a multitalented farm boy :D
mrp, i found it just as your clue went up, otherwise it would have pointed me straight at it. :-)
Mr Pres the only person that is suckage is John HOward
i spent all my school life in the middle of a brothel area where my school was, then the rest of the time on a farm.... I have been educated well :))
not quite so, sprite, but more clueful than the average urban-dweller.
and bush?
I spent my youth in bogan central
bush and suckage was plentiful
yeah, I meant you are both knowledgeable on farming and on language and on many other things, dc!
all words that end in LY are my phantoms tonight.
:">
Fran, same here! I have wanted to drag that Y in place from the very start.
walleye is my other irritating phantom
wool is phantom for me
2 lesbians are suing a doctor over having twin girls through IVF, cause they only wanted one child, not two.... how f***king charming for the child
great, now all i see are phantoms
that sounds pretty sick to me, mrP
IVF frequently leads to multiple births, what'd they expect.
if they are identical the doctor had nothing to do with it.
good, point, fran
Where did you read that Mr Pres
it is on the news right now... chanel 9
wouldn't "Thank God for blessing us with two childs, where we wanted one so much" be a more appropriate attitude?
channel 9? Which network?
some people are sickeningly selfish
Oh im on 9 melbourne. Interesting. That sounds about as skanky as the person that was on today tonight last night with 11 kids no father cause she didnt want them about
they are money hungry bitches
please could you tell me how many words there are today please and are there any big ones thankyou
189 words, 2x8 1x9
189 words cool girl, 2 8 letter ones and 1 9 letter one.
Surely all children are wanted. If not don't even consider having one.
yhankyou
IMHO Its all the damn lawyers who are so money hungry!
and hello cool girl and sgams!
Perhaps what I should have said is that all children should be wanted.
kick me off my soapbox when I get irritating... I soooo resent the whole "I am entitled to this and that" attitude that seems to become normal these days. People think they have a right to be healthy, to get kids on order, to have everything their way. And they get so mad when they meet setbacks. I truly feel it is perfectly ok to meet setbacks. We are not entitled to everything we want. We are blessed that we usually get what we need, even if we do not recognise it at once.
Yes Hello
hi cool and sgams
people are dickheads... bet you anything the 'twins' cost them money with medical expenses cause of 'difficulties'... bitches
move over, sprite, while I get up onto that soapbox with you
people just bitch bitch bitch bitch... shut up and be happy with what you have... it could be worse
place enough for you here, jilli!
I agree totally, I see that with lots of children and teens now. Trying my darndest to raise my son otherwise.
Mr PRes thats when they lose the case and get neutered
they need a friggin brain transplant...
same here, sgams. When my kids say: Oh why does this have to happen to me! I always say: why not? What makes you different from the rest of the world? Life is not about being without difficulties. Life is about love, sharing and the way you solve your difficulties.
My basic principle in life: count your blessings. And count them well. Imagine losing one of the things you take for granted. See... you are blessed.
that is so true sprite.
you are wise, sprite
Amen Sprite, What gets me is all these parents who ghand their kids EVERYTHING! and then make out to be clueless as to why the grow up spoiled rotten and never listening to them, not working, living at home etc. DUH!
cant think back ;ater
later even
not wise, just not spoiled, I think. I have seen a lot of things taken away from me. And I have seen so many gifts from life and the sheer blessing of the things I do have.
later infernal!
I moved out of home at 20 i have friends that are nearly 30 and still live at home. There is nothing wrong with them other than they are spoiled.
bfn herin
bfn lady
if you want to be totally disgusted, watch "my super sweet sixteen"
I was 16 when I started out on my own. I really want my kids to be older, but I sure hope they will be gone before 30, LOL.
I have 1 friend thats nearly 40 and he lives at home because he cant live alone due to a brain injury. You are right Sprite.
i saw an excerpt on a blog of a girl who got mad at her mother because she gave her the car she wanted on the wrong day.
ah, but that is something el4, lady. If one has a kid that needs special help, it is a totally different matter.
omg, fran!
what? omg Fran... if she was mine, I would have taken the car away the same second!
jilli, the mother was just standing there dumbfounded while daughter was yelling at her telling her she ruined everything.
Someone can give me a car any day they wish. I won't be angry.......I promise.
yes sprite, i would have pulled the plug on the whole party right then and there.
lol Frances! I bet!
The thing is this person is 'normal' but hes not.
Ill have a car if she doesnt want it
I'm dumbfounded too
but then again, our kids would never do that, because they have heard NO all their lives.
I sincerely believe that saying NO to your kids, every now and again, is one of the best gifts you can give them.
Sprite thats my fav word NO
back later
i don't think this girl heard NO even once. talk about spoiled.
I read that somewhere, or was it a teen who was mad because she only got a black BMW instead of the Pink Benz she wanted or something just as disgusting, my son (16) bought his own car with money he earned at 14, its sat in the garage up until last week. Now at 16 he works fulltime, and does homeschool.
yay lady! When I still teached reiki courses, I'd tell my students: if you cannot say no, your yes is without value.
you have a son to be proud of, sgams, and your son has a parent that helped him grow out to be that way.
ok... *climbs off soapbox* Just had to say my piece, it is something I feel so strongly about.
It is all in the way you drag your children up. I am fortunate as I have a son I am so proud of but spoiled he is not.
http://mysupersweet16.com
Thanks Sprite I am VERY proud of him. He is definitely heading in the right direction.
That was the website i just found about that topic
Sgams well done
looks as if there are some very promising youngsters on the way up, thanks to you, great parents all
i read somewhere that if children are just given things without earning them or even just expressing a desire to have them, they become numb to the pleasure of wanting something and the satisfaction of getting it.
I know for sure your son will be a happier man than one moir spoiled. He already learned it is up to him to enjoy life.
I think that is true, Fran. I really do.
now get this... a 3 year old girl was dumped at a train station by her father, her mother and sibling have disappeared weeks earlier (history of domestic violence)... first wife and daughter 'missing' since 2003... I wanna puke.... not watching the news again
PPPsssttt...I'll tell you guys a secret! I did it as a single mom too! hehehe
*hugs jilli*
good for you sgams. that's hard.
bye all, time for hugging my children and husband
you did great, sgams! Must have been tough often, but you did it.
bye mrp!
the first la 5/10 please
Me too sgams.
enjoy, mrP, and hug them from me too ;)
bye MRP
Bye mrp. Enjoy your hugs.
emti, la + ***d (dry, like a desert)
my daughter who is nearly 8 wanted a bigger bike a year ago and she had to save up her pocket money to help buy it.she now has horseriding lessons and has to pay for 2 a month with pocket money, which she has to do jobs for, then she'll learn the value of money as she grows up.
And "they" said it was next to impossible---I beg to differ.
bye mrp and good night all -- can't stay awake
night jilli!
Thanks, drew a blank
wtg lilliann!
Good night jilli. Sleep well.
g'nite Jilli
sweet dreams jilli *big hug for you*
well done, lilliann
i have to go too, i'm exactly two-thirds done, so it seems like a good place to pick up tomorrow.
sounds very good to me, lilliann
Bye Fran until tomorrow.

thanks all *big group hug*

bye fran
Must go and do things for an hour or so. Back later.
Darn just realized how late it actually is... you are getting sleepy, very very sleepy, your eyes are getting heavy..... *poof* ---she's asleep, don't wake her she's got an early morning!
bye Frances, night sgams
bye Frances & Sgams
zzzzzzz- goodnight---zzzzzz
Good morning/evening all.
good morning Haz!
hello haz
morning Haz
Morning Haz
Greetings all!
Better sized grid today Haz, you'll enjoy it.
Yes, a bit more to do than yesterday. It's just a pity the l and the y couldn't get on better, they'd open up a whole bunch of new opportunities.
lol Haz, I said the same thing and so did Fran. Frustrating isn't it!
and a surfeit of A's
It is - but we'll just have to deal with what we've got.
morning again...i have the day off...on a tuesday..how nice is that?
On a scale of 1 to 10 that's very nice.
hey haz...you back online at home?
Indeed I am!
EXCELLENT!.... the library is nice but..
It's such a relief. As you say, the library is okay, but....
do you know if the 9..is a superlative?
No coffee on tap, limited time and other people around ordering wives from Manila.
I am so glad Haz :)

hi everyone
You're meeting Atalante? Oh to be a fly on the wall.
FMitch, I don't think she'd mind one bit, but perhaps you'd feel not so relaxed, lol.
you meeting up with ata???...how lovely..whats on the agenda?
just found the 9 another proud moment!!!
hi Ishult
hey ish..
Is it for her exhibition?
Hi Ishult
no sign of the 8's though!!
Just for a coffee rolin, she is passing by on her way back from The Cotswolds.

Hey rolin, yes I did way back in the woods on a river it was awsum!
oooh lovely...how long were you away?
sounds just lovely, hodag!
i think j's should be banned
5 months of fishing and just kicking back :)
lol hodag.. does it feel like a culture shock to be back?
5 months???!!!!...shheez..

It was Sprite,I fell reborn :)

places where you can see exhibitions, cool
TY Sprite for that J ! so close to the other one I had, I should have remembered it!

finally, done with the email queue! That took a long time tonight. bye, lynxxx
well done dc :)
and fireworks
Congratulations sprite.
yay sprite!
very very nice grid today
way to go sprite :)
any last calls for clues before I go take a shower?
the ga8 pls
huh. i had no clue that the ja6 was a word in English. makes the spirit make less sense, if that means the same in German.
was clued to me as more farty, rolin :) start with fuel.
lol dc, that is true :D
ooookay
ok..got it...dare i say....'strange word'
you dared to say it... and I agree ;)
I've looked up the meaning, rolin - used for lighting spectacularly not with candles but with the fuel.
ok..well have i nice shower..im gonna take a break and design a dinner menu...bbl..
ciao, rolin
ty haz... all i need is a conversation to drop it into..lol..bbl
See you later, rolin.
bye all, I very much enjoyed your company. Have a great day or night or whatever and count your blessings. *hug*
You can do it, rolin, especially at a dinner party...
Bye sprite - have a good day.
hasta, sprite
Back in a bit.
hello all. I am stuck with the la5/10, the second la word.
helen, you have the bright light? I've not looked at the list.
yes i do dc
its between the 2 beery ones
Hi Helen - try la + the number th***
got that one too, Lynxx
is the missing one after that?
its before it..before the Foster's one
la + the start of Mr Onasis?
no, got that too
got me stumped!
la5/10 ha*** are bigger than rabbits
The la plus Mr Onassis is the one - it can't be anything else.
ty gladys
got that too Nurse!!!
Hi Nurse Gladys
hi lynxxx
If it's the first la5/10 and the second la word, that is.
Haz its the first la5/10 word
Yes, la5/10 - la plus a reworking of what we breathe (or the first three letters of Mr Onassis)
it comes up from the bottom la
and looks rather finnish
ah, now i got the between the beery ones comment.
ohhhh i see> Thank you all the onassis thing got me confused at first
haz, i got the 6 from ur clue. ty
thanks DC and thanks Haz, as per usual
You're welcome, helenary. It doesn't look like a very likely word.
You're welcome, dc.
also its not in the atoz
glad you got it Helen - I was getting a bit worried with my sanity
did you get it Lynxxx??
Morewords features it although I had got it from lynxxx.
ok you all got it.
what is Morewords please Haz?
It's another online word resource. www.morewords.com. You type in the letters you know, leave dashes for the rest and it gives you a list of the words.
great. Thankyou.
You're welcome - it's my favourite one although it does sometimes feature words that enable won't accept.
just checked it out. It will do the trick when i am very stuck.
It's very useful.
BBL
Bye lynxxx.
wow, half of what i have left are As.
Morning Babblers
Haz it's good to see you back..... puter all fixed i hope.
Hello Nono - yes, back online and very relieved!
morning, nanette
hello again !!
hi haz! nice to have you back!
Hello mrpresident!
hi MrP!!
Thanks, mrpresident, it's nice to be back. I kept wondering what I was missing.
hi nono :)
well I know babble missed you!
That's nice to know. How are you doing?
am going well... travelling the road of recovery as usual. only 1-4 months to go, allegedly
I see you're hedging your bets with the time frame. Are medics like builders? Happy with approximations?
yep, and they always have something else to add after 6 months
It sounds familiar.
I am waiting patiently for the 4th oct... just to hear that I have to have something tweeked... oh well
Tweaking is probably an understatement!
LOL, let's see what happens... I was told I would be out of action for a couple of weeks, that turned into a few months... I hope xmas 2008 is good for me :))
I hope so. Have you crossed Christmas 2007 out of the way already? It must be difficult to remain positive but you've retained your sense of humour, at least.
if the family ever think for a second I am cooperating this year... they are sadly mistaken. I am staying in bed!! not always positive I am afraid
but, my kids are going to have a blast!! they are my number 1 priority :)
You couldn't be positive the whole time - and as for Christmas, don't stay in bed. Get up. get glamorous, and let others dance attendance.
yes haz, we will have our regular dance party! volume at very very loud and jumping off the lounges! it is fun and the kids remember it well
You should capture it on video for us!
oh that would be fun! i will do that!
And if it gets too risque, put an adults only warning at the start!!
off to home, back in a bit. Ciao, all.
Bye dc - see you later.
bye dcs :)
no matter what warning I put, some people just don't pay attention I am afraid
my read a book video got flak from some... I did warn them!!
I didn't watch the one you labelled as adults only - I took the warning seriously.
I think that if I put a warning up, then don't watch it if you want beautiful and fun!
thanks haz... you took it seriously as I hoped people would
You can please some of the people some of the time.
It's just that I know that I am easily offended so why put myself through something that might annoy me?
well, your intelligence prevails
Thank you, mrpresident!
Talking of intelligence prevailing, I do wish I had some sort of listening device to hear what goes on when FMitch and Atlante get together for coffee.
oh!! tell me more!!
That's the thing - I don't know anything yet, just that they are meeting up for coffee and a chat. I'm hoping for details later.
is this their first meeting?
No, they had met up a few months ago so they know what they look like. It would have been fun for them to have met for the first time wearing cat of glory badges or something.
hahahaha!! too much fun!
al 5,10 clue please
I'm sure they'll have a great time.
mixture of metals
al5/10 - al plus Mr Harvey Oswald.
sorry, thats 5/14
Thank you, haz, and good morning!
I better get my kids off to la la land... chat soon! and good to have you back haz :)
You're welcome, Merk.
There's a boat load of a words, huh? Otherwise, how's the grid today?
Good to speak to you again, mrpresident - say hello to the family for me.
It's an interesting grid, Merk. As you say, more a words than you'd expect.
ag 6?
ag6 - a description of the effects of headlights?
thanks Haz
You're welcome.
My a tiles are grayed in. It is going to be interesting today ... so many vowels, l tiles
Well done on completing the a words. There are some nice words in the grid.
hello fellow bblers
Hello rmc.
down to 4 to go, this grid is frustrating me!!!!
Well, you're nearly there - frustration about to dissolve.
thanx haz, needed some encouragement * sigh *
One more push. (Where have you heard that before?)
just a small hint,pls. is there a g in the first al6/24?
lol, haz, not for a looong time
Yes, there is.
el 7 clue please. I have found several with one letter missing, but not the one I need.
is scarlet around anyone?
el7 - plural lament/poem for the dead.
ah, ty
Hello carlee - Scarlet hasn't announced herself so far.
hey carlee!!!
Haz, should you see her, could you pls ask her to check her email
hello rmcc
I will do. You're not staying around?
It's a variant spelling, isn't it?
no... I cannot...and I won't be around much in the months to come.
It's how I would spell it, Merk.
That sounds mysterious, carlee. I'll let her know if/when I see her.
woohoo, got the little beast!!!
it is haz...please everyone..take great care

Sounds lovely and relaxing. Hi Annie
Hi FMitch!
al
what's wrong with "goaler" ? not accepted !!
tried that too, montreal
if you mean jailer, it's ao not oa
no mcr, a hockey goaler !
ah.. i'm english.., that just sounds like a made up word to me :)
an every day word in canada and parts of the US anyway...
haha ditto! there is the football keeper instead
Weird dictionary under this site - there's 3 german words I've found so far I'd never have expected to see
right craggus !!
agreed; i sometimes see some french words that i don't expect would be accepted...
role
oops
oops
and yiddish words, too
had that one mcr, np
The g8/50 is one of todays French words :)
English is basically a great sponge of a language, soaking up and assimilating words.
Hello FM - had a good day?
so right haz...
Hello and yes, just composing email to you at the mo. Ata sends love and says Hi.
I look forward to it. Was Hobbit in attendance?
i got a french word ga 9/66 but no G8 so far FM...
Unfortunately no, in kennels until she gets back this afternoon.
ga8 - first four letters, rearrange the wise herb, then put the ending for one who steers a gondola.
Someone will be pleased Atalante's back!
Very!!
got it FM, tx !
Not sure I can claim the glory with one of Haz'z classic clues adorning the log :)
We'll share the glory!
thanks Haz for ga8, have been working on that for ages
thank YOU haz !!
el 7/36 please
You're welcome!
lol OK then. Lovely bright day today but my goodness the wind is cold!
el7 - plural lament or poem for the dead.
ty HAZ
It's really cold here as well. I've started to think about winter clothes!
ro 6/18 please
It is still warm here during the day but getting cooler at night
it is almiost Fall here
ro6/18 - the rocker's counterpart
Same here green. Without the wind the sun still have strength in it.
ro6/18 one who ro4s
Hi all babblers...
hi zen !
Afternoon Zen
Hello Zen.
any clues for the second sa5/14 please?
only have 1 flosey
sa5/14 - place a vowel right in the middle of the long family story (sa4/6 - the first)
flosey take the s that is an epic story and add a letter near the middle
one with more wisdom
lol Haz
Snap?!
that's the first one montreal
i was afraid so flosey - sorry
Just got back from a trip to the Lake District last night and, by golly, haz it got a lot colder......
thanks Haz
I'm frozen, Zen. I had the dog out for a walk this morning and couldn't believe how cold it was.
no prob Montreal, thanks anyway
You're welcome, flosey.
anyone have a clue for teh we 7?
How was the Lake District, Zen? It's a beaustiful part, isn't it?
ok flosey - i just got the other one from FMITCH's clue at 9:44
we7 - gets tired
Yeah Haz, "summer" is now officially over
Not that we ever saw much of it. But if this keeps up, there's going to be a rapid adoption of winter woolies.
NO!!! Don't say that Zen - go wash your mouth out for blaspheming so *sobs*
wearer
We're terribly realistic, FM.
Oops montreal one more letter and you would be in the penalty box.
thanks much haz! that's all of them :)
we didn't have much summer here either, had one lovely week in Sept.
ooops... too close for comfort...
*grabs for rose tinted glasses, puts them on and feels much better*
So sorry to upset you so FM
You've finished Kerowyn? Congratulations.
clue for we6 please?
yep :) record time for me too :)
Rose tinted glasses provide no heat.
wtg kero !
we 6 add 2 vowels to the we 4 before it
we6 - a singular boot
thanks Haz
You're welcome.
As may be but the t shirt, polo neck jumper and body warmer do :)
*works to translate into american english*......
:)
Three layers? Nobody wears three layers in the summer. It's autumn, you've as good as admitted it, FMitch.
we south end Salt Spring Islanders are known for those we6's - should have been thinking closer to home
any other clues before I go back to work?
I found the Lake District enjoyment level being very dependent on the weather - we had one bad day (Sunday) when it was wet and cloudy all day and all those lovely mountains and views became invisible!
Was it very crowded or is the holiday season mostly over?
well, I have never been there before so I don't have a comparison level Haz...
Fair enough!
afternoon all...hey mitch...have a nice meet up with ata?
I want some ja6 schnitzel! vom kalb mit spatzle ooh I am hungry
re6 please after let go?
ty flosey I didn't have that let go ( :
re6 - make secure again
clue for the last ga 6/24 before ga 7/36 please
yw gramma
Hi rolin, yes very, nattered away for a couple of hours before she had to get back on the road home.
thanks Haz
very cool..*s*...
But I presume it was somewhat less busy than when all the brats are off school - which is why we went in September.....
well i have ...among other things...planted 75 bulbs..still have 150 to go..
I am hopelessly stuck on my last word. LA 5/10. Any help available?
green its the singular of the 7 and there are 2 other ga6 before that one as well Quite a job rolin but think how lovely when they all starting coming up.
la5/10 - is it, l plus a reworking of the opera solo?
ty Fmitch
oh yeah...wll bulbs were such a luxury in aus... i am just making up for all those years of deplrivation
Or, la5/10 (the first) la, plus the start of Mr Onassis.
Zen - the earth mothers in babble will have apoplexy at the thought of 'brats' - not keen on children?
Def: something that is used as a medium of exchange; money.
Though when the weather is good in the Lakes as it was on Saturday, it was really magnificent. Kendal's a nice place too...
Thanks for those clues. I got Fireworks, but wont watch the video. Never know what may come up
It is lovely - we should revisit it sometime.
ok haz...now you have me stumped...how can there be any reworking of the opera solo...?..the second a is not in contact?
kudos inge!
Congratulations inge - today's video is safe enough as long as you're not scared of tiger cubs.
wtg inge !
Congrats inge. Have there been some unpleasant vids then?
zenmed...kendal is lovely...and being a tudorphile...i was surprised and delighted to find the katherine parr connection
It is possible to have two a letters together. Work from the bottom l.
Yes, F Mitch. A coupld offensive ones, others were just stoopid.
wow...would never have found that..thx haz
You're welcome, rolin.
clue for second or6 please?
You guessed it Haz, not overly fond of the young ones - can't see why anyone would have them!
Ohh thats a shame inge.
Sorry about the apoplexy....
Off to finish yesterday's cleaning. Tomorrow I am giving a tour of Detroit and the Henry Ford Museum to a busload of German tourists. A touch of nostalgia.
how cool inge, good thing your mom didn't think that way Zen ( ;
*poof*
I liked my own children, other people's can be trying.
Bye inge.
To be honest, you can blame the shortcomings of parents for the shortcomings of a lot of children.
ayup ( ;
one of my little charges pointed at a piece of banana and asked me what it was...
*shaking off fits of apoplexy....*
what do ppl feed chn these days?
lol feather
asked what a banana was? wow.
Well absolutely Haz, but if one says anything to the parents, one is liable to induce a severe case of apoplexy!
fruit is an alian concept to some chn im finding...gets me very cross with parents
I would say a visit to A and E would be on the cards.
anyway, nicholas gave me a true smile and coos this morning!
See, he'll know what a banana is from an early age, I can tell.
daniel LOVES fruit, of every kind. we actually had to start limiting his bananas and apples as they were starting to give him problems he was eating so much. going raspberry picking this summer was a blast for him.
same goes for veges too rolin, tell them they actually grow in the ground and they think you are lying.
I love the smell of babies on the nape of the neck, I say that is what God smells like ( :
Ooops, new mother on-line, you weren't supposed to see all that, featherbee!
lol, it's ok zen! to each his own!
and yes, there are definitely some children who fit the label "brats." not mine of course.... ;)
well ive had built a vegie patch so we can plant grow pick eat raw or cook peas, beans carrots etc
daniel's had fresh coconut out of the nut, fresh pineapple, then all the standards, berries, pears, apples, bananas, etc
Nooooo, of course not feather..
That is heartening to hear rolin.
my lunch is hot, just peeked in while waiting. will be in and out. how is the grid?
and did i mention...?/
The grid is a good one - normal words aplenty, a side order of weirdoes.
oops..that with this new job...i can roster myself off a day off..which i did today...and its been lovely
Anyways, anyone know the re7???? -er, please
re7 - as sung by Engelbert Humperdink.
zen...let go
And DON'T say you're too young.....
lol@haz....i hear paranoia in the air
I know how old he is .... if I can remember it, so can he.
Oh dear, how did i miss that; how embarrassing.......
Engelbert was infinitely more embarrassing. Those sideburns.
i can't argue with that
ga 8 please
green...fuel plus the end of a huge light fitting
ga8 - the first four letters are those of the wise herb, rearranged, the ending is that of the one who steers a gondola.
wrigley should be a word!
hi all - here for my first babble outing of the day. I have no idea what that last clue means - huge light fitting?????????
so should wogle
and the very lacy fronted shirts in extrodinary colours too, dont forget them.
Oh, i forgot the time, must be away to speak to our M & s manager about getting some British apples in store......
sandie...big posh hotel...look up to the ceiling...whats hanging down?
ty Haz and Rolin
Lord Lambourne apples - get them for flavour!
ag6/24 please?
Oh - ty that's a lovely one.
Braeburns are my favourite, although at the mo am eating apples from Mums tree.
Big posh hotel? Do you mean you don't have crystal ones hanging in every room, rolin?
*whisper*....one doesnt like to sound like one is bragging haz
ag6/24 - incorporates and describes the effect of headlights.
Or indeed the effect of rolin's light fittings.
You've got the common touch, rolin.
thanks Haz, will have to work on that
and yet most people just think of me as common...lol
Sounds good Haz, where do you get them? would like to have some with a bit of flavour, not some tasteless defrosted stuff sent from the far corner of the world
going to be in the grid for a while - then doctor's appointment. Chat later!
Happy hunting Sandie
That's the problem, you can't get them. I remember having them years ago from an apple farm in Armagh, so they may be available in a local farmer's market.
I vote we all harass our local supermarket managers to insist they stock good BRITISH apples.....
praps that should be the next icon....fav fruits
sl5,10
I already do Zen and on local salad stuffs and seasonal veg too. Introduces head to brickwall.
sl5/10 - displaying more of the characteristics of the fox.
more cunning debjed
Hello all - imagine living in South Africa where almost any type of fruit/veg grows and all the best are exported - we get 3rd grade in our own shops
that happens in aus too ursh
ty
la 5, 10 clue please ... the first one.
very irritating rolin - but money makes the world go round
la5/10 - l plus the opera solo rearranged. Don't be afraid to have two vowels together.
when i first moved here...i was amazed at the range on countries my fruit and veg came from...one week...i sorted them out and i had eight countries' produce on the table
i have the la that is used by doctors nowadays
ty, good clue, as always, Haz
You're welcome, Merk.
I remember when we thought it was wonderful that happened rolin but the price we pay is high financially and in the lack of seasonality.
16 to go and am out for the day, bbl
It's completely crazy freezing the stuff for days on end and flying it thousands of miles, polluting the planet egregiously
Bye flosey.
Our neighbours , Zimbabwe - people are starving and our Woolworths (poshish food store) sells the most beautiful veg grown in Zimbabwe - cant figure that out
but downt you think seasonality adds to life... to wait for the return of stone fruit in the summer created such expectation...but maybe i have past-coloured glasses on...we had our own fruit trees
it goes back to this pervasive..if you want something you should have it immediately... attitude
I know that there is a huge difference in the taste of home-grown strawberries in season and the lack of taste in out of season imports. I assume the same applies for other things.
I can figure that out in one word, ursh - Mugabe
i still have the memory of a just picked sun warmed apricot ...*sigh*
The anticipation of the first strawberries of summer... ahh. :)
Zenmed - I cant figure why he is still alive!!!
ursh...im not a violent person..but in mugabe's case..id make an exception
Should somebody hint at weapons of mass destruction to see if any action is taken by the 'superpowers'.
Mbeki seems to be keeping him alive!
Then again, maybe better not.
hmmm...we could start the rumour haz...whatcha reckon?
What have I started?
M'beki is nearly as bad as Mugabe, it seems, ursh
Uh oh time to stock up the bunker again. Puts a case of cooking sherry in, incase Haz needs some.
I grow most of ours - buying veg in seems such a waste. nolonger dig for victory, but dig for clean air!
but white wine - i am sorry, i will pollute for lol
You think of everything, FMitch.
oh Lord Zenmed - sometimes all I can think is "God help Africa"
"speaking as a klutz, who knows precious little about it".........
It's okay, you've slagged off children, why should Mugabe escape?
omg...i just got an email with the most funny/ but frustrating picture...
but you try finding uk produce in tesco!
the caption is ...mellissa williamson of bullitt avenue is worried about the egffect of the jack hammers on her unborn child...shes looking out at road works.......while smoking a cigarette!!!
lol
LOL
and its a scanned cutting from an american paper...*shaking head*
I'm sure i could think of something else to slag off if I really thought hard enough about it, Haz......
We've done the weather.
go Zen, go Zen or will I be done for incitement?
zen said a wo-rd.....
well on that note..... i shall off to the kitchen... to tidy up...and prepare dinner....oooh hi...TO...havent seen you for ages!
How about developers? £600,000 asking price for two semi-detached bungalows with 'potential for development'.
Bye rolin and hello TO.
Hello TO.
Just read about rolin's email article. I got one yesterday equally funny: A Jewish man in shorts and sandals is praying at the wailing wall with a cell phone to his ear! The caption is : Can you hear me now ,God?
hi all! : )
Oh yes - house prices; that's a good one
So, what do you think about house prices, Zen?
teehee inge
Do you really want to get me going?
There's no answer to that.
(If it saves the manager of M and S from a berating, go right ahead)
Zen, since when have you been backwards in coming forward?
No, it will have to wait till next time; gotta go give the M & S manager(ess) a quare good berating - bye for now....
Bye Zen. Just don't end up in the cells on public order charges.
aa5/10 anyone
aa5/10 - aa, a consonant, a double helping of another vowel.
It looks like a potential name for a further Jordan/Peter Andre baby.
thanks a lot haz i haven't seen that one before
Nor had I. You're welcome.
aeriel
i tried that too ruru, didn't work :(
Take away the last letter.
sorry everyone I will try to sign up for Babble expert this weekend and stop this crap
lol
It's okay, we forgive you!
.... and take all the fun out of it for us ruru?
aa4,4?
oh it still happens, ruru, happened to me yesterday, because i forget i can do the chat in the same box
aa4/4 - aa plus the first initials of the hallucinatory drug.
thanks Haz
You're welcome, debjed. And with that I must depart, kitchenward, to get the evening meal prepared. It's not as cold when you turn the central heating on. That's my lesson for today. Bye for now!
TTFN Haz
Bye!
Off to doctor now. No doubt be back for the last 40 later tonight after dinner. Bye all.
Bye Sandie. Think I will stretch my legs for a while too.

Afternoon, all. Okay, I give up. Clue for the the first La5/10?
clue for we7/44 anyone?
is it the red ray of light ?
el7?
Plural the we4/8 before it, craggus.
we7 = add onto the we4 above it
el7 is plural of poem of sort delivered at funerals...
First la5/10 is not the ray of light, nor is it the beer.
finally got the al 6/24 tx to you super !
dont have the la 5/10 then judi...
Montreal. I can't wrap my brain around the el. Are you talking about eulogies?
yes but drop the 2nd cons. pigeon
Sounds close to that, Pigeon. trade the u & the o for an earlier vowel.
pigeon - last part of el word is correct.. play around w/ first3 letters
*vowel i mean

I feel 80 today. I made jam all day yesterday.
I am on so sporadically nowadays that most of the "news" doesn't reach me until weeks later... LOL
mmmm. jam! *gets out bread to make jam toast* what type?
I hate how my floor and counters are sticky for days after a good jam session. Love to make jam, but I always spill sugar everywhere.
my grandma's recipe. called "heavenly hash". it has peaches, pears, lemons, oranges, pineapple and marishino cherries. very yummy
I made 4 batches. ended up with about 30 pints and probably 40 half pints.
oh yum indeed! we like multi-fruit jams in this family too. Is it a freezer jam or -- ?
wow ! what a yummy sounding combination
anyone got the al6/24 plz - either of them or both?

Scrabbler Poe - Quoth the Raven
Yes, I got ga8!
we7 rhymes with more than hypotheses but less than laws
glad someone did, scrabs.
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore, While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping, As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door. `'Tis some visitor,' I muttered, `tapping at my chamber door - Only this, and nothing more.'
i love the star trek geeks! :) :)
whereupon a midnight dreary, and fourscore and ten years
Open here I flung the shutter, when with many a flirt and flutter
In there stepped a stately raven of the saintly days of yore
i remember my parady - once upon a school day dreary, while i studied weak and weary, over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten bore.
and fog crawls in....
Not the least obeisance made he Not and instant stopped or stayed he
Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the bleak December, And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor. Eagerly I wished the morrow; - vainly I had sought to borrow From my books surcease of sorrow - sorrow for the lost Lenore - For the rare and radiant maiden whom the angels named Lenore - Nameless here for evermore.
And then the raven flew away and ate the roadkill, the end.
But with mien of lord or lady perched above my chamber door
i can't make it 7 letters
Oops, we're leap-frogging verses here.
star trek geeks are the best - but it's a prerequisite, no?

We regularly have Apocalypse cooking week sounds much better than left over week
true
actually my musical tastes always give me away even if my appearnce doesn't
Well I don't know where back of the beyond is. I'm in Memphis and temps were in the 90s &100s before we went on vacation. Now 75 but going up again.

In the mountains?
ga 6/24 is ga plus anangram of le 4/4 word rururocks

Hi Lab.
That is pretty much what I had in mind thou. With prices today I wish I could do it know!

My Aunt and her hubby used to trade skills for the butchering of the animals

I know what you are talking about Tim

particularly because you know what you know now
Ha ha ha ha ha ha - flop

Me too!
sorry that was the funniest thing i just saw - 'i'm not catching the school bus i'm walking' My immediate thought 'enjoy your walk'
i have a weird situation with a 19 year old right now who's been interested in me for a while.. i keep telling her that there's no way that i could even try it - the ages are just too different.... she's awesome, she's so fun to be with - she isn't jugemental like all the 20 something asses i know - as cooll and fun as she is, i could never go back to the shit she's about to be going through... i'd give up that body any day to not have to re-learn everything that has taken so damn long to learn
I don't get the meadow clue for ga 6/14!
yeah i think 28 29 is maybe a perfect age
la 6/24 ?
we6,30?
ga 8/50 clue pls!
try ga + ***d a band
la+how old you are+consonant
Im 30 this year and i couldnt care less - everyone i know wants me to have a big party. I am not interested. I have to think of something special for my 30th and i can only think of one thing
i hope 28 is better than 27
27 sucked...
they've all kinda sucked
ga = fuel + trains on high tracks + more so ending
:(
I think mid-30s is best. You know who you are and where your going.
heh. my big 30th bday party was when my mom showed up at my work with my niece, nephew, and a cake.
i don't think they get better because well at least for me as each yr passes i become just a bit more jadded
and whenever it is timmie, i think it's good to remember that it's been a road that you've been on this whole time, and that all of the things that you've done and created and learned are worth celebrating
aww thats sweet.
fireworks!!!!! Thank you hoot!
when i was younger i could change the world if i wanted to
i thought it was pretty fun. but it's by no means a "big" party
I pretty much despise most of my birthdays
yw
congrats
the road less travelled?
Yah LAB

sorry to have a "deep" rambling...

Go for it
i had someone that i barely know email someone he barey knows my email address to a cute other person i barey know
i'm in 7th grade :)
hehe
and if you guys end up " hooking up" when you are ready to end it you r girlfriend we have to do it for you
well, i think she won't email
when my daughter was in the seventh grade she and her gorlfriends would break up on each others behalf
because you'd have to actually be pretty f4ing cool to see that that was cute enough to look past the fact that i essentially based wanting to know her on her appearance
anot like my 7th grade for sure!
Well if your really in 7th grade that would be your only interest
yeah... but i'm not... i'm actually just a romantic therapist that reads people quickly and loved her smile and the fact that she wanted to see pictures of my animals based on the fact that i was making "the kitty face" (her words)
but since i didn't get to write the email, i don't know that that would have gotten across
el7?
Well you could always write your own explaining you had nothing to do with the first and then do your own thing
i don't have her email
get it
that's why he was giving her mine
el7 is what they say about you at funerals
confidentiality conscious...

Hoot its featured in one of my favourite cooking mags that sadly has become crap and i think its because of this idiot
I seem to vaguely recall that show. Second hand though. Don't think it's here. We have Rachel Ray. NY voice drives me up a wall so I don't watch
Rachel Ray is pretty cool but her voice shudder
Oh good it's not just me then! BF thinks I'm crazy
hi everyone!
see you all later.
Thats cause hes probably watching her. Men have different tonal pick ups
Hi Fran!
mrp, more video links on their way to you.
thanks fran... you are up next week :)
He likes Alton! I think he just likes doing things the hard way!
Its true men have a different tonal pick up range
No - he watches what I watch.
hi hootowl!
i love alton
I dont think we have that here
Oh boy do I know it! When I was working they bought me a new printer. It went right thru my skull and everyone (all men) thought I was crazy. The controller (female) walked past my office one day when I was printing and said "what is that godawful noise!". I had a muffler for it the next day!
infernal, the show is called Good Eats
As long as you don't take his recipes seriously he's ok. But he does make them a lot more trouble then they are worth!
I've been cooking a lot longer than he has and never needed a scale!
He can't even make popcorn easily!!!
Hey does anyone know why isle isn't on the list?
it is french
What about Isle of Wight?
newbie, the letters don't connect
LOL hoot... newbie, you can't make isle from the grid
but some french words are
what annoys me more than anything is a vegitarian dish with chicken stock
And french never made any difference
chicken stock is vegan in our house...
Doh!
all monkeys are french
i am parly french and alot of my words don't work;0
I've run into that before! Apparently they think if there are no chunks of meat it's vegetarian. Asses.
Or any Veg / Vegan dish with a meat base even cheese
i'm cold
isn't vegan chicken stock an oxymoron?
ahem, I have vegan chicken stock
i might go to bed
not sure yet
have a blankey TS
yes please
I didn't say it was consistant or even logical. Enable will accept some weird variations of words in many languages and then snub another ligit word.
I am a meat eater and i used to be a chef and it was a bane of my exsistance when the head chef would put chicken stock (the real stuff) into Dhal (probably spelling that wrong)
thank you
I'm trying not to hear you mrp
You talking about that Masala stuff Mr Pres?
dhal can be spelled many ways. I always use water.
I don;t know what it is,.. it was bought for me by a friend... it 'says' vegan... she is big into no animal
My dal is strictly vegetarian. I do put ham in pea soup.
Actually, by the time I'm finished, I have vegetable soup w/dal
I took cooking lessons at a health retreat some years back, they made vegetable protein taste just like bolognase sauce!! amazing
What I don't get is if you don't want to eat animals why have something that tastes like them?
Is there an ingredient list mrp?
I made maddison vegetable soup for her flu, it works miracles
what does their taste have to do with not wanting to eat them
there is hoot, I will go get it
I cant think of the name
you can not want to eat them while acknowedging that they taste good
So you like the taste of them but don't want to eat them?
my daughter hates the texture of meat, makes her heave and throw up... but she loves the taste
Well most vegetarians start off eating normal food so I guess it makes them feel better if it tastes the same
sl5/10?
which is interesting, because i was a vegitarian for 12 years, and always felt ashamed that i liked the taste and ate the fake meat products. i never had an answer back then
it isn't simple, I know, but that is what she is like... weird and wonderful at the same time
i was that way too mrp
Sneakier than me
cool! good that she should know she isn't alien
brb, going to find that recipe
I use vegeta stocks
Nope. Everyone has their own idea of what's right for them. I cook & eat many cousines but can't abide mexican or tex-mex'
and i always hated fish, but 12 years of vegitarianism and or anorexia... i love it now
cousines????
Yes I have learned to love the taste of fish
I will eat anything from the water except oysters! They taste like iodine
Nope im wrong its Massel that makes not chicken flavour
that's cannibalism hootowl. :-)
eating "cousines"
It's the texture of oysters that I can
:)
stomach
ok ok - not swimmers or diver or submariners.
oh fran i just adore you
OH! My speelcheck isn't working.
O my fumble fingers! What I was trying to say was I don't like the texture of them. Gross!
:-) you're pretty cool yourself stud.
mine isn't on here either hoot
My typing isn't too great either! Speel???
:)
lol hootie!
S'ok I knew what you meant
Well I had to come back with a bang didn't I?
Good oyysters taste good
Where are you situated in Aus Herinfernallady?
all the seafood take helped me find an al
i looove raw oysters
Wouldn't know good from bad. They looked fine, smeeled fine but tasted like iodine. I'll stick to clams
Me too tim
well.. I found my last 3 words so Gnight.. I am not staying for the flip tonight..
tim, there are 3 more words related to that al
Have Fun!
