One of our older riders was well over 80 when he finally had to quit. He had been involved with horses all his life, but was brain injured after an accident and never walked again. dcs - you know that fr word you used about your spelling (my Other Half's dyslexic, too, btw, and he often finds the 'odd' words I don't in grids) ,anyway, that word. Take the 'f' off and you hae either a hotel or an ri4/9 word. Add the sometimes vowel to that and you have an ri5/24 word.

I was hanging around to help with clues, but when I couldn't recognize the one that Fran gave a great clue for ... all I could see, looking at it, is the definition (allowance for wastage)
What makes it worse for me is that when I first found this site, I had the time to finish the grid everyday
then a year later, I changed jobs and my son was born and *poof* no more babble time
When I first found this site ... 2 years ago in the summer (I found the link in Spiegel Online), I made the time to play. I can't do it anymore
Every now and again, I'll go to Lickety's site and play around for a half hour or so ... but ya can't finish a Babble puzzle in that kind of time, or even an hour. Or at least, *I* can't!!!
