This is the first day, since my sacroiliac injury 2 wks ago, that I have awoken pain free! I barely feel any pain when moving and twisting. The real test will be on the tennis court Friday.

I have been fighting headaches for a few weeks now, but for the most part, they are less severe than they used to be--I attribute that to magnesium, the Bs and believing in them, LOL
i didnt realize scrabs it is no less painful but maybe a little less scary when you at least know what is happening & the proper thing to do about it
A tennis injury--when I play at net I imitate a ice hockey goaltender and I now realize that I am too old to dive or go down on my knees.

It's funny, the last time we "spoke" here, the headaches were gone for a while. Now that the weather goes from 60 to 40 to 60, with storms or possibilities of storms, the headaches returned...

no, I am not okay, have found out that PTSS can be so severe that EMDR does not help enough. New research has proven that once one with PTSS get stressed, the cortisol (?) production will not stop or lessen, but continue to build. Usually it ends in a panic attack. And nothing can be done with just your plain good sense. Knowing there is no reason for panic does not stop it. That sucks.

EMDR is a treatment that works with eye movements, it influences both brain halves and is supposed to lessen the stress factor of the memories.

I had a great shrink 15 or so years ago--a specialist--and that helped. And, just surviving...
am having a therapist that is making things wo5. But my physiotherapist does psychosomatic pt with me and she is marvellous. WIth her I am learning to get some control over the situation. Making a base inside myself.

By that (surviving) I mean that just learning and then coping with new, less serious but no less painful threats in my current life...

So, I have ALWAYS been open aboutthis as I want others to not experience the pain and/or the shame. I did not realize that being open about it was not enough to heal through it, though. That's where the breakdown and aftermath of healing came in 8-)

Double Crostics -- There's a grid, but it is a quotation. There are clues, and each letter of the answer has a number underneath, which you then inter into the grid according to the number. Eventually it beginds to make sense and you can work from the grid back to the clues. When all is done, the first letters of the answers going down (not the grid) spell out the author and the name of the source of the quotation. Soem of the quotations even include numbers. To me, It's the ultimate word game -- lots of very funny quotations, lots of profound ones. So far I haven't found it online but just googles it and maybe it exists. Lots of opportunities to google, these days -- I used to accumulate reference books to do the printed versions from Simon and Schuster.
