when i went in and got diagnosed with flu, it told them i had an ear infection, left side. Went back to doc, instead of to class, thursday night, and they found i had infections in my ear, sinuses, chest, and mouth.

I know hodag. The snow on my garden is above my head. But at least this year the perennials are well protected from frost. For the first time I'm going to build mini greenhouses for the raised beds, so I can begin a month early and go longer. The vision of mud season this year makes me think of the old horror movie "The Blob".

Yes! The snowplow just went by again. Cross-country skiing was ideal yesterday with packed fresh powder. Tomorrow a group of ladies will go out together.

Without the paycheck though, my job would not make me happy. the other day i rememberworking an off shift and consistentlytelling myself,"You are doing this forthe money" over and over again.
My last job, before I retired was the worst paid job I ever had but I was really happy doing it. I loved it and because I was always smiling, my boss was too.
I suppose I don'thave a smiley job...but then again, people I qork with are sometimes seriously injured or near death and smiling constantly when trying to revive someone just isn't quite needed.

Citronella The citronella plant is called by many different names, but technically it is called Pelargonium citriodorum (lemon scented geranium). Geraniums like a loamy soil that is well drained and enriched with bone meal. Don't use too much nitrogen or your plant will have lots of leaf growth and no flowers. The citronella plant likes lots of sun and a temperature of between 50 and 60 degrees F. When the pot they are in gets root bound, you can transplant it into a pot a size or two larger. The soil should be kept moist but not wet. When you do water, saturate the whole root ball. If the plant is growing leggy (as happens in the winter) you can pinch back the top growth, which will spur the plant into growing out, more than up. When bringing geraniums in for the winter, you should cut the plants way back and pot them up (if not already in a pot). Water them sparingly till they send out new growth in the late winter. They should also be kept where the temperature is not too high.
