if i did it was probably last years season still playing here lol
it was a local family (I'm in Reno) - they were in Stagecoach, about an hour away from us. The whole opening was filmed in Las Vegas. At the whole other end of the frickin' state.
be6
ok im off to the parent teacher interview back in about 45 min hugs
Drives me crazy that people think that Las Vegas is all there is in Nevada.
bye groovy
well, I've been to Reno and Tahoe and some others
drives me nuts that people think Canada is a zit on the forehead of the USA
I don't think that, jilli!
co 6 x 3
tnc well unfortunately thats where it all happens for the most part lol
not really, MLF. The state capitol is up here and most of NOrthern Nevada sees LV as a boil on our butt.
:)
when we were breeding Gt Danes in Montreal I had a phone call from someone in Houston saying she had sold a pup to Vancouver so would I please drop in and help with the ear taping. I said (politely) "You do it, you're closer."
rotfl tnc
i know someone living in lv
nice, jilli!
MLF, I'm sure they'll disagree with me, but oh well
i dont know how long they have been there but i think they had their share of times at the bars
etc
las Vegas is a great place to live if you are a baked potato
bless you, I just found the ac 5 :>)
this is true, ruru
why is that ruru?
Hi Pigeonman, How are things going?
it is so freaking hot there
Never really been to LV...or reno, but a few people have recommended Reno as a place for my next job post Florida.
ruru took the words right out of my hands
ohh true
Ruru, I imagine it isnt too hot right now, just getting to eb spring.
hi ruru, geek
HI,
HI,
hi have never been there either red
Or maybe I am incorrect, I have been cold in NNM so long now it has frozen my head.
Hi Geek
I'm a baked potato! I also agree!!! I've lived in Vegas for 49 years
I like Reno, of course, I have lived here since I was three months old. My family and all of my hubby's family are here, so that makes it nice.
oops, :)
are you calling me a geek Jillii?
so geek, you were there before it was all big and showy.
Hey Geek
No No Ruru, you are a geek in a tutu, but Geek is on too.
Oh yes. The population was 40,000. Now 1.4mil
geek - did you see Extremem Home Makeover tonight? That's what started this discussion.
no, ruru, but that's not a bad idea, methinks?
I pigeonman. Pigeon lived here too for a number of years
Geek lived in Vegas when Sammy Davis was big. :-)
I missed it. I was saving my neighbor's computer from spyware and adware.
he lived in vegas when sammy could not
Anyone have a word for the I on the right?
jill you mean the i next to the s?
on the left?
I was moaning that it was for a family in Lyon County (about an hour north of Reno) and the opening shots were all in Vegas.
i5
THat's not right...THere is much more to NEvada than Vegas.
no, the one on the RIGHT, above the C
ohh sorry jill my fault
Everyone thinks there isn't anything in Nevada EXCEPT Vegas.
gas-like
yeah, i5
thanks, geek, that is what I was moaning about.
gas-like jilli
thanks, maniac *looking*
tahnks ruru
Pigeonman will also support that. He's lived near Carson City and Vegas.

ty lynxxx, great clue
thanks lynxxx, now I remember... lapsang :)
Thanks lynxxx.... couldn't have been that bad a clue!
soochon...
THAT is not a word
Hi red!
just awfully long
rebag your teabag, then write about it in your blog on internet. And enable won't understand a word you are saying.
hey red... sin bin for you!
red behave yourself or you'll be back in the PB
darn it, tonight is my PB nite.
Red do you need a time

I need to probably stop babbling at work....
hmmm.... you can co5 to the beat of the bo5! Tee hee...
and after that a ta5, Jandy
you might also could ta*** Jandy, but usually not too many Bo**** used there.
How true sprite, but millions will read it, as long as I am a thing young celebrity.... it will be an existential blog about teabags, I think...
lol red, snap
Oh thanks sprite... didn't have it!
and would you do those dances in To5.14?
snap Sprite!
yvw :) And I will read it for sure
That was a THIN young celebrity!
Now, why is THAT in there, lynxxx.. isn't it a proper noun?
We will all ready Jandy no matter what.
over the 100 now and time for a break. happy babbling all, wherever you are, bbl :-)
lollollol Jandy
bye for now, Chrissie!
Jandy you are now in PB with me, and you even put it in all caps!
but i see you can't dance the ta5 in to5 wearing a tanga
Oh rats.... what a boring boring word to get put in the PB for!
to5.14...a light, two-wheeled, horse-drawn vehicle used in India
hiya Ata! We can, but babble cannot
NOOB is a word
I'm eating real tortilla chips now, though..
and hi :):)
But good company red... I am currently having a sangria and a sweet chilli dip - care to join me?
sure, I have no dip so perfect, I might even be tempted by sangria...
Oh, perfect, you can dip them in my dip!
Chips for yu too...
Hi Ata
noob is a word that was invented after the internet... no way enable will know it
Everyone will be jealous of the party in the PB.
Red you tried the Blue ones?
Thanks lynxxx.... would have needed to look it up!
Yes, the blue corn chips are good.
I am a bold one. I enter the PB without making a blooper first.
Traffic light Nachos are fun
Got the iPod, with speakers, cool music playing... disco lights....
blue chips??? okayyyyyy....
Sprite, you are not welcome until you drop a word I dont have...
Sprite! So nice to have you here!
hah, so you say, red. But when I pop in, you are all smiles =P
Have a drink, sprite.... what about some dim sim? And there's a little roast in the oven!
LOL Jandy, she has to drop a nice juicy woooooord.

BLARRRRRRRRRrrrr
Jandy, c/- PB, Canberra
See ya Andree, have a good dinner!
lol
Sprite that wins you admission for the night
it makes me think of natural meds against colds, the EC
Woo hoo! Welome sprite!
yay red! So now I am legally in?
Yep, but it means prickly or spiky, apparently!
You are sprite. Make yourself comfy, lovey.
so nearly chianti in the grid
Legally!
*puts feet up, enjoys roast and dips and sangria, and especially the company*
Red, white, sparkling, sangria, beer, softdrink.... what would you like to start with, fellow PBers?
So fun.
Hi Ata!
Hmmm.... better than this groan inducing grid...
I like this grid, I am at 115 words no lickety yet.
*raises glass to Ata... chianti, my sweet? Or sangria?*
Hi Ata... we might be able to find some chianti in the back of the PB fridge...
wtg red
Im going to go climb into the fridge soon
Yah red
at 8:12am? *groans*
But I keep getting interrupted by work.
Its 2: 13 where I am Ata...
well, only the first glass is a problem, actually, Ata. I am on my 3rd now and it feels so natural!
works has the irksome habit of interfering with babble
Good morning and Happy St.Patrick's Day to you :D
Must tell you sprite, and anyone else who's interested, that last we saw the space shuttle and international space station, the new ATV and the Hubble Space Telescope all in the sky as well as some unrecognised satellites... it was great viewing!
hi ho, and to you too!
Top of the morning to you Ho
Beannachtaà na Féile Pádraig oraibh!
LOL more like, really, I had 2 large glasses of wine about 8 hours ago and feeling a little worse for wear. Maybe a sparkling water first to get some stomach insulation
Hi Hoday and top of the morning to you!
Snap, lady!
ohhhh lady, chapeau!
Hi Hodag
Oh, you need more practice, ata! You'll come good!
they say the best cure is more of the same, Ata ;)
Thank the B.f that that one bloody Irishman
TY sprite,lady jandy and lynn
but I do have a st patrick's day pic now!
And the best insulator is actually antacids, or better still prescription anti-reflux drugs. Magic..........
Yah Ata
Oh dear, that sounded a bit like I knew what I was talking about. We only allow ourselves one a day int the PB!
Ata, that is one of your own, I can tell :D
yep :D It was a present for Ankh
lol Jandy, keep up pretending, I will help!
milk. i swear by milk.
Very cute, Ata!
I am never ever hungover. I drink a glass of water for each alcoholic drink and it works like a charm.
It does work, Ata... and you"re fighting off osteoporosis at the same time!
Maccas makes good booze insalation
Well, you see, Sprite, my theory is that if you can remember to do that, you're not actually drunk...
It's like no-one who is sober would ever drink shots... so you're always adding insult to injury when you get into that game.... "Shudder"
hehehe Jandy, once it has become a habit, you will do it even when the brain shuts down
a little hair from the dog that bit you works..:D
I don't drink much One is enough
New years eve was a tad different this year though.
my friends used to hate me in the mornings, lol.
I think that's true hodag, but you have to be up for it...
Big night lady?
New years was a tad silly
I can understand that, sprite! My husband only feels the worse for wear about once a decade... I think it's the extra foot of height he has over me! It runs into his legs or something...
yor right Jandy lol
Well, lady, that's what new years is for!
lol Jandy, I am 1.68m... you are taller than me, I bet
1 bottle of Whiskey, 1 bottle of Triple Sec and one bottle of Tequila. We were making Pint mug Margaritas and Lynchburg Lemonades.
No..... 1.63.... and sadly, fat don't help!
lol, I be4 you in the fat too.
Ps we were at home
Don't be sure, baby, I might type thin.... but...
I think we start the new year the same way every year loaded"!
Well, that's my favourite place to make a disgrace of myself, lady. No worries about getting home, you can just keel over into bed!
hehehe, I am over 100kg, so don't worry
yep. And no crowds
Sprite you are pretty
thanks lady :D
As long as you don't make any stupid alcohol-induced resolutions about exercise or abstinence, hodag!
no crowds for me either. And no fireworks, unless they are far off. I just stay in nowadays and feel much better for it.
Never make new years resoloutions
I am snapping at your heels, sprite, but am using this sick leave time to get moving again. Now I know there was actually something wrong and a reason I couldn't get moving, I feel better about it! So back to the treadmill... very slowly....
sounds wonderful, Jandy! You are doing well! Very slowly and step by step, that is the way.
Puff, pant, red face, sweaty... no wonder I hate exercise! I just don't care for it and the endorphins everyone talks about seem to miss me...
I get far more endorphins from hard shopping and good parties and great other things...
well, actually the best exercise one can get is walking, very regularly. No need to push yourself over limits.
I get the best endorphins from sex, but hey, who am i
We nearly always have friends over for new year or stay at friends now, lady, cause you can't get a taxi for love nor money and it just ruins the night to be waiting for two hours!
That was the great other things....
so you are in excellent company sprite!
yay Jandy :D
Right, going to see to dinner for my beloved... might get back later, but who knows.
Good night, pets! Please take care of yourselves!
NIght Jandy
sounds like a plan, Jandy. Have fun :)
bye Jandy
sleep well jandy:D
Right i need a shower and i cant see the screen
later gators
I know what you mean Infernal - i might take a cool down break too - BBL
see ya lady:D
*hugs lyn and lady*
take care Lyn:D
if enable doesn't know the internet, why does it know re6?
Oh I am slooowing down.
and fireworks :)
COngrats Sprite!!!
ohhhhhh the vid is marvelous! Thanks Nanette!
Oh I really should use bbble expert.
it is a great help, red. I only use the chat window, and occasionally the 2nd letter clues when I cannot finish without, and the vids are often so fun!
so even if you don't need all the resources, it is worth getting it.
Ahh well, I am at work tonight, Lucky to be able to abbble at all.
babble.
urf, back. got called away
I need all the help I can get, but I do try to get lots done without lickety...
*hugs Ata* wb hun!
WB ata, how are you? Just wondering Has hubby gotten over flea obsession???
that was what I meant, red, I do too, and you can totally hide the 2nd letter clues. Even this way it is worth getting!
yes LOL! now we have a Mouse in the Ceiling
Is it real? Ata, or just a new figment! At least you wont be asked to put up a new ceiling each day!!!
I really don't know!
I haven't heard / seen any evidence, but he is convinced
a mouse with fleas, no doubt. They fled to the ceiling to be safe from Sily...
is he acting 'normal' for the rest, Ata? All this paranoia, I don't know... perhaps he should see a doctor? ;)
normal? he is a man ...
hence the quotation marks :)
LOL
Well, I thnk as long as it doesnt result in more laundry for Ata then its OK...
ohhhhhhh BIG sigh of relief... we have friends in Atlanta. Just received an email that they are alright.
bye all
bye ho *hug*
though I was told to grow up yesterday when I objected to him using the last bottle we have of my favourite fizzy wine that we can only get from France as a cooking ingredient in his moussaka
tssssssk. Yup, 'normal' allright, but highly irritating. Did he do it anyway?
yes!
mEN ARE strange indeed....
I was unamused
we almost have banana in the grid, so sad its not there.
that is rude. I would have been very angry indeed. Are you getting along for the greater part? I am wondering, all of a sudden... happy moments to compensate for the irritation?
Good morning, yay it's stopped raining!!
unfortunately I don't really see him enough to have enough happy moments to counteract the irritation! He works all week, gets home at 9pm at the earliest, often midnight, he's out all day Saturday, and busy most Sundays ...!
hi FM! read back for D's latest little annoyance
*hugs FMitch tightly* Missed you, hun! Though I used your PB a lot, just because it is such a great place.
I just did and he is lucky to have all his bits still intact!
sounds to me the two of you have some marital maintenance work to take care of, Ata... if you don't mind me saying so. *hug*
lol more than that, spritey dear!
Lovely to see you too sprite. PB is certainly getting a lot of wear and tear but everyone seem sto enjoy it.
your PB rocks
I think we should ahve a big party in there before too long as I intend to drain the pool and shut it for a while for a full refurbishment.
pool party!!
LOL
Let's be glad you put an l on the end of that p word.
Good morning Haz great to see you.
I'm not nut!!
I am game!
Good morning all!
morning! and how's the spangly one today?
Spangle is going through her morning ablutions. The paws are receiving serious and dedicated attention.
ahhhh the nibbling of the paws. very serious business
Morning all, I'm pretending to make tea and get the bin out, so excuse me if I disappear suddenly!!
Who knows? Perhaps there are fleas or rodents secreted in them.
invisible ones at that
in his brain, yes Haz. And hi :)
and hi lizmac too!
or both, shock horror! Morning liz
Good morning liz.
To the PB, FMitch.
Ha Haz, Sophie is doing serious excavation work in the litter tray...maybe she's looking for fossils of aforementioned critters.
If the antics of animals are mysterious to us, can you imagine what goes through their heads when they watch us?
I dread to think!
Stop the Press:.... .... from LizSarks blog: Just a note from the junior reporter to say that Liz successfully finished her walk and is now homeward bound.
Hmmmm. Sophie seems totally mystified about our diet...I mean WHY would anyone eat oranges when she knows for a fact that there are cat biccies in the cupboard.
wooooooooot!
Oh wonderful! And is Toyah going to be special guest at the welcome home party?
http://elmontsonline.blogspot.com/ lol of course Haz
Tea, bin, byeeee.
we should have a toyah day when liz rearrives at babble
Caught out, liz? BYee!
Looks like she will be back on Sark this morning
I'm sure she'll be glad to get back, but I'm looking forward to hearing how she got on.
Is it six degrees of separation - six rather than five? Because I'm trying to work out how many degrees of separation will be between me and the Queen on Thursday.
Do read the blog, facinating, and her hub is planning his next trek across Greenland, and Liz's bookshop opens in 7 days! Feel knackered just reading it all.
lovely lovely greenland
Quenn Haz, whats happening?
I thought 6. I have to be off, am trying to do too much at a time and that is not good for my brain or nerves. Big hugs to you all, it was great seeing you today! :)
Queen, Haz, ? even Bye sprity sprite
well, I dreamt about the QUeen last night, and you know me. so ... 2 degrees of separation
Bye sprite!. Well, the Queen is coming to Armagh on Thursday to distribute Maundy money. My sister in law is lending her hat to a fellow teacher who has been invited to attend the ceremony along with her elderly mother who is to receive Maundy money.
will there be anyone there to give her Baileys shaped wreaths?
There was a huge auction on at Ascot over the w/e some guy selling his entire Queen colleciton (pop not royalty) does that count?
No, indeed, it will all be very tasteful!
LOL, thats a shame
So, me, the sister-in-law, the hat, the friend, the friend's mother, the Queen. Six degrees.
wonder if George has met the Queen
Lucky Queen.
PHone!
And back.
more lambs?
No - husband reporting a hot air balloon in the vicinity.
I don't think inanimate objects count, sorry Haz
I do hope it's not the press trying to get sneaky photographs of George In Hiding.
i see!
queen arriving early?
Inanimate object being the hat? So, take out the hat and it's five degrees.
lol, there you are then!
I had been harbouring a secret hope that she might come to open our new Town Hall. I've tried to find out but if the local press photographer knows nothing then I don't think it's happening this week.
nooo! you want liam to come home and open it!
Gosh, there's a thought.
Liam/the Queen mmmm LIAM
hello GBrs
Evening lynxxx :)
I have already seen the Queen, so maybe Liam would be acceptable.
yes, sorry queenie, liam wins
Good evening lynxxx.
ha ha one of my friends just dropped off a packet of uneaten chicken strips from her dinner last night for Hobbit. she is *so* spoilt
You're not going to hijack them yourself?
I wouldn't dare. She'd *know*
No, I suppose the guilt wouldn't be worth it.
exactly ...
We've started to give Spangle supplements in her food to help counteract arthritis. Unless you disguise them well, she delicately eats round them.
Spaniel eyes would haunt you
little brat! I shall give you my Big Tip For Getting Spaniels To Eat Glucosamine
What is The Big Tip?
Why is it that animals do that? Think of the things they are happy to sniff and eat but a tinly little pil ... Noooo!
instead of putting them in her food, get a little jar of beef paste / chicken paste / whatever flavour she likes paste, and coat the offending item in the paste. the paste has a strong enough smell to disguise the tablet. then its a good thing cos its human food and you're giving it to her etc etc
That sounds a nicer plan than ours. Open her mouth, pop the pill in and hold the mouth until she swallows.
lol yes, that was my initial way of getting hobbit to eat them
we experimented until we came up with the beef paste plan
I had to laugh one day - I rolled one in a piece of bread, offered it to her, she took it then literally spat it out.
I haven#t been able to ger Flad, the semi feral cat, to have a worm pill for three years. He has huge fangs and he goes wild if you try and grab him, and won't eat his food if the pill is crushed in it. I've even tried mashing it with sardines. Any tips?
I found a slice of salami wrapped around the pill was good
looool oh yes! bread isn't cunning enough
get the worming stuff you squidge on their neck, like frontline
I know. What was I thinking?
Oh! I thought that was just for fleas and tics. Didn't know you could get worming stuff to squeeze on. Many thanks, Ata.
think that's why paste works, you can mould it round the pill until nothing is seen or smelt other than the paste
you can now, hydra! its relatively new and utterly wonderful!
I'll let you know how I get on!
Is it important to do the disguising out of sight?
it apparently doesn't work quite as well as worming tablets, but I think it must work significantly better than nothing!
I had to give my old coonhound huge antibiotic pills over Christmas, 2 twice a day, stuck them in a peanut butter sandwich! Worked like a charm!
not with Hobbit. but I don't think she can quite see what I'm doing on the worktops. and now she doesn't care, any time I get the paste jar out of the fridge, she's there for her "treat". I can stick anything in that stuff!
I should make a list. Meat paste, peanut butter sandwiches....
but yes, I think the more the dog thinks its a treat and doesn't see what's in it, that has to be better. especially with bratty too-clever-by-half spaniels
And still the paws get attended to.
wow! thats an extended session
Well I swear Farley was laughing at the other dogs, because they all "only" got cookies and HE got Peanut Butter Sandwiches!
Was he disappointed when the Peanut Butter Bonanza finished?
the other trick - throw dog a treat (sorry, grid word I know but its necessary), and then throw them the tablet-in-something and *generally* you can fool them into thinking it'll be another treat
reban
I think so! Yes!! Poor guy. but he got better thats the main thing
These dogs haven't really a chance, have they? It's a comfort to know that cmbining brains like this can come up with answers.
they think they are clever ... but they don't realise how sneaky humans can be if necessary
Now trying to get thyroid pills into a 18 yo cat...totally different story
Still, their smell is awfully good, you have to give them credit.
oh! cat advice - for antibiotics, there is now a 15 day antibiotic jab you can give them rather than having to force tablets down their throats every day
too good
You should have your own web advice page - Atalante's Animal Advice.
Ya, we're onto trying our fourth version of this thyroid med....cream in the ear! WoW what next.
nah. that's it. all my animal advice. in 1 go. I think. I feel quite smug about it though
I'm still just so amazed by being able to give antibiotics to cats in 1 injection. Bliss.
No kidding that is Awesome!
is it *ever*!
Sophie's a saintly cat....or a foolishly greedy one. Pills get offered, pills get taken, minimum fuss...lucky me, eh?!
very very lucky you!!
I'm wondering if the drugs manufacturers are coming up with new drugs etc for clinical reasons or in order to satisfy the demands of vets and owners!
Have made tea and reminded Hub that it's bin day!
We call all our cats (and two in particular) the ultimate psych patients....they all tongue their meds for ages and ages and finally spit them out LONG after you think they swallowed them.
Hi everyone. I have a wonderful pill"gun" I got from the vet-looks like a long straw with a plunger in it and a rubber tip which holds the pill. You draw back the plunger and when you push it in a little puff of air pops the pill down the cats throat without having to put fingers in cat's mouth. Takes a little practice , but merp gets three pills every morning and it's usually easy.
vets and owners a lot, I'm sure! anything to get their drugs sold rather than competitors. the antibio jab is called "Convenia". for obvious reasons
Ah, a mechanical device enters the competition.
Did you all know that if you give a dog a pill and hold his mouth shut and blow in his nose he will automatically swallow it!
i'm not getting dog sn** over me!!
yuuuch
Please do not try this with next door's guarding rottweiler....
Hahahha, You don't have to give him mouth to snout!! hahaha
haha, Haz, indeed not.
And you'd need to be sure that people understand that you don't blow the pill into his nose.
Okay, also if he licks his nose its a sure sign its down the hatch
Ahhh well, I just shove them down Teulus throat. No need for air blowing or anything. He hates it. The other thing i have done was open his capsules up andput them in food...
not if the little brat has hidden it under their tongue ...
Ya, like those damn psych patients of mine!
FMitch has gone awfully quiet. I hope she's not rounding up the neighbourhood animals to try out a tablet experiment on them.
they fool you. then spit it up 10 minutes later
Exactly Atalante
I'm not getting any words here, going to drink my tea.
and look smug. cats are very good at that
Teulu is pretty darn good bout the pill thing, luckily he rarey takes them...
Mine are probably out of the streets selling their pills for dog bisquits....totally could see that happening
Ata theres you again with that smug word...
LOL sgams
nothing looks smugger than a smug cat. except michael winner
Atalante is the queen of smug.
Yes, Michael Winner is the smug winner.
Oh goodness, I still have 120 left...
definitely
I don't feel so smug today. Spaniel ears are sooo complicated to draw. I have 1 and a half left to do
But think of the smugness when you finish and have got it right.
Well, keep pluggin away. I have 3 hourso f work left...
and one patient in the department now, pretty ill...
yes. that will be winner-esque levels, I think
How many dogs/cats etc do you guys all have. We have 5 dogs ranging from 1.5 yo to 18 yo and 100lbs down to 12 lbs and 5 cats from 3 yo to 18 yo
wow! sorts? colours? names? tell all!
top o' the mornin, to ye, all me Babblin friends. May the blessings o' the Irish brighten the day for ye...on Saint Paddy's Day, all are a wee bit Irish!
i have a dog - cocker spaniel called Hobbit - and a mad cat called Silverclaw who is almost smugger than Michael Winner
I'm always amazed that US owners classify their dogs by weight - I doubt whether most British owners would have much of a clue about their dog's weight.
my good sgams! What a wonderful menagerie! We only have the one handsome guy in my icon.
ionant
Hobbit is 18.5kg
acon
Angel - good morning.
sMea culpa maxima!!!
Silverclaw is 3.4kg
can I be smug now?
Okay, so Atalante is not typical!
loooool :D
Merp is 15+ pounds
Yes, you can be as smug as you like!
I have a Welsh Springer Spaniel called Spangle. Zero idea about her weight, and this coming from a vet's wife!
Farley,Coonhound 12y, Jewels, Spaniel/Pointer 12y, Pepper Chihuahua Terrier 18yo, Valery Blue HeelerX 10y. and Crackers, Clancy, Marlin, Cloudy, and Purcy, Crackers is 18, Clancy 7 and the triplets are 3. Oh and Mr.Mr. the cockatiel who 5. Thats inside!!
probably about 20kg. Well, Willow is that weight, so it should be about right
you've got a heeler! you lucky thing!
Right, this isn't getting the chores done, so I'd better take my leave. It's a lovely grid, so far - back later to finish!
and go and weigh spangle! :P
We'll live in blissful ignorance!
Oh my I forgot Sparky the Terrier/Dashschund he's 1.5 oops, outside we have goats, 2 alpacas and 2 rabbits and a whole whack of chickens and 11 geese
LOL :)
Byeee!
do you have a farm sgams?
alpacas!
Yeah, suppose you could say that 5 acres.
where are you?
bang
West coast of Canada, BC, Vancouver Island
there I go again!)-{
and the same to you, eva!
do you have the alpacas as pets or for fur / something else?
mostly pets... we do sheer them of course and I have sold the fur BUT mostly to be honest I use their poop for all my gardens
wool! I mean wool!
ooo alpaca manure!
almost time to start seedlings. Hard to convince myself of that when there's still 4 feet of snow on the vegetable beds.
Well actually it is more like fur, wool is sheep
fur just sounded like you were going to skin them and make them into jackets *facepalm*
ahem, morning/afternoon, all
Alpaca manure is excellent, and yup, I have my little grow lights working full time, our growing season is coming up pretty quick here, already have peas and broad beans and radishes and oriental greens in the ground.
oh fits of jealousy....you must be in one of those coastal temperate zones.
Little broccoli and cauliflower and celery and leek shoots coming up every where
Top of the morn to you
We'll start seendlings indoors in a week or two, then transplant to cold frames on first of May and hope all goes well.
Ya, its is definitely pretty warm here...but definitely not like subtropical or anything, lots of rain, and the like, but snow is mostly only in Dec Jan
Well thats actually pretty common timing....I just happen to be kind of a die hard and actually grow probably 60-70% of our food, including wheat and barley etc.
Hi
hello
Hi Sgams where do you live in the world? I noticed that you grow your own food
Yuppers, and happily I might add LOL, West Coast of Canada, Vancouver Island
NIce
Ya, its pretty nice here, I like it,lol
I wouldn't mind the middle of no where b.f would
going to build mini greenhouses for the first time this year, because I'm tired of having a 60 day (maybe) growing season here in Vermont! And this year I'm going to distress my deer friends and put up a 7 foot electric fence. They just don't know how to share and share alike.
HI EVE
hi herin
Ya, I hear that alot...one or the other partner is against it....we are sort of middle of nowwhere but we do get into town at least a couple times a week. Don't have to worry about the bf thing, just me and mom and my 16 yo
Eva can you still feed the deer elsewhere
morning all!!
morning pink
hey eva and herin!
HI PInk
gm, I have 30 minutes before I should start to get ready for work - it looks long
Well, they'll still eat much of my perennial gardens, unfortunately. It is illegal to feed them intentionally - the deer population gets too big, they starve, and there are also growing concerns as lyme disease spreads from the south.
hi kje!
Eva Bambi tastes good though
Hi Kje
never like venison herin. Too gamey for me.
That is one creature we have NONE of here, everyone else complains bitterly about deer here, not us, because there isn't any!. Eva, could you try cold hardy veggies---there is about 55 varieties of veggies that grow perfect down to -15, might extend your crops...but YES, cold frames work like a charm
oooh, love venison - steaks, sausage, jerky
haven't had it in years though - broke up with the hunter
yes we do use the cold hardy veggies, but I don't like being confined to those. But do you have particular favorite varieties you'd suggest?
I only agree to killing an animal if you are to eat it not for fun
agree
Mainly I do tomatoes, huge amounts of basil, squash of all kinds, snow peas, chard, kale, lettuce (found a wonderufl Israeli variety which grows even in summer heat), sometimes potatoes, strawberries, peppers (which last summer never got red), sometimes a few melons, beans.
Yes, Eva, collards, kale, certain onions (walla walla are great in the cold) cabbage, rutabaga, leeks, there are certian lettuces that are made for the cold, parsnips, I've even found a carrot mmmm, Campestra, that hold well, chards.
Campestra. Never heard of it before. I'll look it up.
Well that sounds excellent to me Eva, I figure any amount you can grow yourself and enjoy the wonderful nutrition from is GREAT in my books
Last year I grew a bunch of baby klari cheese peppers which looked very cute and were advertised as being delicious to pop into one's mouth, but were, in reality, very thick walled with not flavor at all - really meant for pickling.
Not mention of course, the closer to home you can get your food obviously the better....but thats a whole other dimsion
Oh, I have some of those to grow this year! Often peppers have a hard time here BUT heres hoping, giving them all the fair chances I can for producing
Good to know maybe good for adding into salsa
BACK FOR A MOMENT...
And last year the deer ate all thre squash blossoms, so the squash had to go through a whole nother cycle and was very late and sparse, not to mention savaging the beets, kale, chard, and even a few peppers. I'm hoping that with the little home made greeenhouses giving us another month or two we may have more luck with the peppers. The summer before last we had a wonderful crop of red peppers, which are my favorite. That reminds me that i really should grow some jalepenos and try some poblanos for making salsa.
oops shouting it. sorry
I love red peppers and those yellow tomatos. the small ones... yum yum.
MMMMMM, sounds good to me, totally forgot about "Winterkeeper" Beets. I have yet to meet a pepper I haven't loved, but yes, red ones are soooooo good!
thee sungold are my favorite! Had zillions of them last year. Have found that the red plastic really helps with the tomatoes. Also letting them get very leggy as seedlings and then burying all of that stalk horizontally. The plants develop root systems like phone cables!
Uh oh, finding no more words, but there are aton more in the grid.
yep, me too, 117 left and I'm just staring at letters
I have found that the key to a successful "winter" or late fall garden is to make sure you are planning and planting it in July, and early August.
kje, i have 116 left, we are together...
yes, I always forget to plan for that second crop.
Ok back
Now thats an interesting idea Eva, have to keep that in mind!
I have 11 minutes before I should shower - or maybe I won't : )
okay, going to try to snooze a bit more. See you later.
the dear were hungry
bye Eva, good luck with your garden...
Tomatoes are definitely NOT my forte. Mom can't grow heather or an azalea for the life of her, and I have a heck of a time with tomatos
my forte is growing old ... quite accomplished at it
My neighbours did these upside down tomatos, and had some marginal success with them, the right side up ones did better.
we grow tomatos in pots - works out well
Still in Spain BR?
I want to grow Tomatoes of 2 varietys :D
Hi Babble

You read that MrPres?
surprisingly, no... lickety told me! he must have a thing for undies in the chog
Blush
SO thats where my undies went to
Right
just asking - I'm in Texas, so always curious what others find hot - 88 is warm : )
well, celcius is different by a long shot
warmer, BTW, than we'll get today
people down here have been living in 105 F for two weeks
KJE its been like this for 4 days now at least we have had cool nights. But South Aus has had 14 days not under 30
I find 70 hot.!
infern, it has been above 35 for 15 days straight
65 just nice.
I just moved back here after 10 years in the NE, dreading summer with weeks over 100 F
and it is heading our way allegedly!
Yes it has. But my brain didn't remember that
40 F for this time of year is warm
we'll hit the 100F or above and the humidity...nasty
yuck
I have been cleaning heaps
where are you nonnie?
hey nonnie!
is this puzzle nice tonight?
Arkansas, south of Hot Springs
hello pink! :o)
Hey Nonne
Not nice
i was liking it Mr P. but now it is getting slow. 111 left.
No, it's horrid. In other words, I'm stuck.
hello, herin...did you move into your new place, yet?
I thought the grid was most agreeable
Worse thing is my washing machine has broken down and i have to wash my clothes in the shower.
beautiful area there in the mountains - have friends I visit in Hot Springs and do the bath massage thing
Not yet Nonnie 1 more week then keys. 1 more week then AIRCON
It started out nice but I've hit the wall with only 72 words found.
OH hot springs lovely
Oooh Nonnie, My marathon is in Mountain Home AK, this year.
(((((mr president)))) i didn't see you sneak in lol how are you?
HI Pink hat.
hey red!
kje, yes it is pretty. We didn't get much of a winter this year. The bath houses are fun--used to be mafia owned. where are you now?
really, red? What time of year are you this way?
Dallas - trying to adjust - just moved here 6 months ago - missed winter this year : (
melts into the couch
dallas? not but 4 hours from here!
time for a cold shower herinfernal
Mr PRes how are you my dear
KJE did that
Still baking my butt off
Poor herin...you're suffering through that miserable weather without AC?
yep, I've made that drive more than I'd like to remember - always construction on 30
laptop in a bath, maybe?
That wont work
AC is helpful. When I lived overseas it was always about 38-45 degrees and we eventually got used to it, but, didn't move much in the early afternoon.
I don't know. I have 2 fans. B.f and i had a tanty last night about the heat
Nonnie, its on November 14th...
I take it you've finished the grid, BR. Abandon Spain and get over here please!!
I Just stay inside and don't move
Nice time of year here...usually! Maybe we can try and connect, red? :o)
Spain'll be way too hot for you, Scotland just right.
BR
MMM i really like the new place. Aircon and its single story
I get around
Now where are you?
single story...much easier to heat and cool!
oops, it is after 6 and I have to get to work. Take care all and have a great day, afternnoon, evening, night :o)

I think the cat is still ticked off at me for me dumping her in the tub
mine hates the water aswell herin....i think most cats do
Goodness, herin. If I put my cat in the tub he'd kill me!
Then she wiped her wet butt on my couch. That was funny
Lol jac, me and you both :-)
P had to ba4 him once after he came home covered in mud up to his armpits. That was 'fun' (not).
She doesn't mind washing she just didn't like the rudeness of me dumping her into the tub
Hi katie
mine gave hubby a good scratch after he put him in the bath last year and went wild, bless him
I'll have to find the photos and put them in my Flickr stream.
hi katie
HI Herin, Hi everyone
Hi, katie.
Crumble fell in the bath once and went mental, they demand to be dried when they come in out the rain, let alone put in a ba**
Damn, said a word, off to PB I go!!
lol katie....mine doesn't even like his wet dirty paws dried when he comes in, but has to anyway
Kitchen roll is very handy for cat drying!
She likes the tub but not shower. LOL Jac. No i just use my towel or what ever is at hand then wash towel
Speaking of washing, I need to go and do some shortly. One more mug of tea first...
Good girl Jac, you put it off as long as possible

the funny thing - I didn't have that one yet so didn't even realize - sorry!
I'm sorry, but why in god's name is "teabag" not in the dictionary?
the sneeze counts
Because it's a stupid dictionary?
You know, I thought it was a rhetorical question, but those are two very good answers
"stupid dictionary" and "sneeze counts". I like it.
LOL
But you can sneeze only once. Pl doesn't count.
. . . As a wise man once said, that's because it's a stupid dictionary
=D
Right now my complaint is the lack of reba5/16. Trust me, when you have little kids, you know what it is to have to reba5 what was clean just a minute ago.
hee hee

Hi Eva

Duty calls. Back later.
bye Vicuna
Happy Monday to all, and Happy St. Paddy's to all who celebrate! :-)
I'm wearing orange today
It typically either gets me beaten up or moved to the front of the lines, but damnit, WE'RE IRISH TOO!
Hi, Samantha... you must like to go against the grain!
hi Scarlet
Hi, pab! :-) {hugs}
That's why I love my country, Samantha... freedom of expression, whether someone agrees or not, it's our right!
Don't forget, Samantha, that the orange in the tricolour is intentionally there.
And good morning/afternoon all.
Good day, Haz! Is this date as big a deal in Ireland (other than the true Saint's day) as it is in the United States?
Yes, Haz, and I appreciate it
hi Haz
Well, Scarlet, yes it is, but that's largely because Ireland has a tourist industry that demands it. It didn't *used* to be but now it is.
And, another question, whilst I am picking your brains, do the Protestants celebrate any of it?
Hello Scarlet, pabtrek, Samantha. St Patrick's Day is becoming more celebrated now than it used to be, but I don't think we go to the same lengths as some parts of the world.
Three of our cities have gone green for centuries... the New York City parade has gone on now for 246 years! Chicago and Scranton, PA are huge celebrators also...
Some do, some don't Scarlet. In the past there has been a feeling that St Patrick has been hijacked by one section of the community (I'm talking Northern Ireland here) but people now seem to be more inclined to say - He's for everyone.
Heh. My answer stands. When the tourists are looking, we're celebratin' as hard as the next man
Something about "knowing which side our bread is buttered on"
hi scarl sam and haz
Hi y'all
bbl, gotta go
I have to admit, I do have a laugh at all the shamrocks and leprechauns and things. They're strictly tourist items.
In Asheville, other than a standard school lesson, there is virtually no acknowledgment of the day. LOL, Samantha... very funny. After having lived in Scranton, I would hide on the St. Paddy's Day weekend... too many drunks and way too much rowdiness. HI, Westford!
don't forget Southie in Boston scarl
Of course, west! The Southies are some of the original celebration makers!! Boston is Irish through and through! The Celtics? LOL
they say the name wrong though
We're Americans. We specialize in that.
Haz, I have lived in a city wherein the women dye their hair green, the leprechauns are little deely-bobber head bands with green, sparkly antennae, and everyone indulges in green beer! I know westford... but Irish is Irish! :-)
Americans are from everywhere and I am Irish for today
Mercy!
We have always pronounced it KEL-tics... not sell-tics...
did you hear about the river in Chigago?
make that Chicago
its st patricks day?
Green every year!
it is
Yes, 17 March every year.
it's really really green lol
lol
im in england, i usually see some guiness hats and green faces
saw a woman on TV making colcannon the other day
I'm guessing there are no leprechauns dancing down your street today?
the day snakes fear every year
I might try it looks really good
I do love to see the pipe bands...
no and im sitting in a shop in a city
no and im sitting in a shop in a city
Good morning/afternoon, Ata. Poor snakes.
probably see them later
Not a one left. It's great.
is that true, there are no snakes?
hi all! question.... so Nana is a word - but Tech isn't???
tbh i dont celelbrate it because im not irish, i wouldnt expect the irish to celebrate like canada day, or st georges day etc
Actually, this year it was Saint Patrick's Day last Friday, or didn't y'all know that?
they must have moved to Australia did you see Lickety's video?
Asheville is another breed of city altogether... Haz, we have no parades and no particular attachment to any obvious holiday here... We have African culture weekends, Jamaica celebrations, and every culture you can imagine, but not a St. Paddy's Day observance... I am NOT complaining!
i have a calender right here i just checked
team - add a sometimes vowel to the te word, but don't forget that you're not supposed to put words in the log...
team, you're right, but add a vowel to "tech" and you're got a word!
ty sam!
And west, it's true,we have no snakes at all. A worm is the biggest we could muster.
sarah, the calendar makers may not have consulted the Vatican, but this year, St. Patrick's day is officially not on March 17. it was last Friday.
sounds like my kind of place lol
That's because a High Mass was not permitted to be observed during Holy Week, so there was a little retro-manipulation going on.
haz - i won't do that again. promise!
since when did the vatican get green and drink?
The Vatican probably didn't realise how pigheaded and stubborn Irish people are.
I'll bet they did!
Good to hear, team, I know it was unintentional.
im having a house party othis weekend whos coming?
Sarah, it's SAINT Patrick's Day. The Vatican does have a say.
alright alright i was only kidding sam
haz - i get a little frustrated when i know words are words and babble doesn
chill, get drunk
know they're words
The true Irish people in this country go to Mass, have a family dinner and revisit the agony of the original imigres... especially in Scranton, where coal was king for a few hundred years... those poor miners had the most difficult and deadly jobs of any in NE Pennsylvania.
I've always heard St.Patrick's Day in Ireland is solely a religious holiday
It's not so much babble, as the enable dictionary. You just have to go with the flow.
Oh the praties they grow small over here
Hey now. I will remind you that OCD also stands for Official Catholic Doctrine, and people with OCD can get uptight about either definition. :)
LOL, Samantha!
Yes, but the potato famine was in the 1840's, a long time after St Patrick.
The old folks still speak of it with tears on their cheeks, Haz.
Don't know how it is there but here the Irish have very long memories
I just finished the REs! Glory Hallelujah!
im an athiest pure and true , but with mild ocd... shame it dosent affect my tidiness
good job sam
im finding todays puzzle a struggle
Oh I know, long memories are handed down from generation to generation.
I love the music I'll say that
sarah, I'm a confirmed atheist myself, with more than mild OCD. And thank you, westford
and just about all my Irish friends can't stand it
Exactly, Haz. The struggles of any people are kept alive in the oral traditions...
wicked
It depends who's playing and how long any particular tune goes on for. After three hours of one jig, most people are begging for mercy.
octane. I know it's not a word but I keep typing it.
lol
I can take just a wee bit of it, and then I head for the door. "Oh, Danny Boy" makes me scream for mercy immediately... Same with "Auld Lang Syne"... I've used all my patience and endurance for both of them...
Oh, I can tolerate Danny Boy quite well. It's the diddley-dee-diddley da music that I have to ration.
I heard "Molly Malone" the other day, and ran for cover... The diddley-dee-dee music is what makes this rational person indulge in a primal scream, Haz...
I have 98 left and I need a break. I'm going to go find a version of St. Jame's Infirmary and do dishes. BBL
What is that, Samantha? St. Jame's Infirmary?
For the great Gaels of Ireland Are the men that God made mad, For all their wars are merry, And all their songs are sad
Is the the New Orlean's Jazz festival rock-out? With brass, horns and rollicking dancing?
Some Percy French songs are quite cheerful, though.
It's actually an American song that Louis Armstrong made famous, but somehow it's been coopted by Irsh groups
interesting, when i worked in real estate development, we had a thing we called re6,18age which was a term of art for us, even the bankers used it, and which must not be a real word because it would be the only 9 letter word of the day. re9. too bad.
Phone.
::POOF::
Bye Samantha.
Bach shortly, have to make lunch for husband....
playing him a tune on the harpsicord while you're at it haz?
Mari you still with us?
chat check
back later then

Present and occasionally correct.

Oops. Not present after all. Must read a book to the minions.
It's quite a nice grid today.
LOL Vi
Happy St Patrick's Day!! Green, green--my favorite color!
apart from silly go6/30s
Hello Scrabbler.
It is a bright, sunny day here, but just 25 degrees F.
hello
the ag7/36 has me stumped too
Hello harpjane.
Hi Jane--I love your green COnverse All-star
ec
thanks, happy St. Patrick's Day!
Guten Morgen, Freundin Inge! Wie geht es heute?
ag7 - ag, first three letters of a facial feature, finish with two vowels
To rhyme (vaguely) with a food of the gods, or a brand of creamed rice....
I got it, I got it, Hazel! At first I was confused.
Or, ag , a male descendant backwards, two vowels to finish.
Glad it worked, Scrabbler.
I am so simple--I get excited when I grasp a clue.
Good Monring all. Hope you are having a good day.
Hi RTH, how are you today?
I am good.Even got my Icon changed. I think...
You?
I see some flower thing--a quilt? A rose window?
oh no,refresh!
I left the office Thursday night at 7:30 and have greatly enjoyed my time off. I don't want to go back---waaaaahhh.
Iwent in tonight to work 4 hours and ended up working 12. Glad it is done.
how many letters is the Y please?
Hm, what is that, RTH---I have to click on it. BRB
4 letters
Not a great icon image, but tis my irish something...
hi all
kind of a sound you make when you spit something out
Hi Carlee.
ty haz...i was really slow...3 clues finally did it!
TY kje!!!
Glad you got there, joansie.

oh Start Carlee,itsafairly nice grid.
hi joansie.

Hi carlee
Are you a brown-eyed girl, RTH?
hi all ..we awoke to snow on the ground all the green was covered
LOL Scrabbs, not at all, but I liek the song...I actually own all his albums, which I think makes meagroupie.
hello everyone
I'm just looking at the picture of Van Morrison - that wasn't taken yesterday!
Ah, yes you are.
Hello pink.
Hi Pink
No Haz, I chose one of the errr, more attractiveimages of him...
Hi Pink!
Hello Haz and Scrabbler
So what is St Patrick's Day like in Ireland? Madness and pandemonium?
Joansie, I hope you like snow, I would have cried...
its a time factor...
Yes, because he's not the most decorative man around.
Hello Red!
Do some and have fun with us, Carlee. How was your son's hockey tournament?
I think St Patrick's day in Ireland is probably a much more sedate affair than in other places.
i've been crying all winter
no, but he is so talented...
Sorry joansie.
no tournament yet... that in april...just started reg playoffs tonight...
Joan, where do you live?
This holiday is huge in our area--so many Irish-Americans.
She must live near you Scrabbs.
There are 2 huge parades here--Gerry Adams was in the one yesterday! (Sinn Fein)
I do think itscelebrated with morebeer in the USthan inIreland, from what I have been told...
last year we were in Australia and a freak hail storm covered parts of Canberra on March 1st
i am currently in central iowa
Oh Joansie, cold cold cold!!! I do not envy you one bit.
Well, Joan, I enjoy cross-country skiing all winter.
Hi, all. Back from the intrusive telephone. Happy Saint's Day to all who celebrate.
Hi Scalet!!!
cold was 22 years in North Dakota
Scarelt.
Oh darn it HiBig Red.
RED!! :-)
Happy green day
The celebrations laid on here by the local council include buses to the foot of Slemish for people to climb, entertainment at the local showgrounds etc. Having said that, not all the schools are off and it's not a public holiday in the north.
LOL, red... 'tis okay... I'll answer to anything!
( red did u get my email? )
Hi Scarlet! Aren't we all Irish today? And Wed, March 19th, is St Joseph's Day--big for Italians!
greetings everyone :-)
Hi OrangeCat
orange .. red .. any other colours around?
Hello Orange.
Carlee has a magic purple crayon that makes words disappear, like the REs. We are ever so grateful when she does that.
why did I start this grid?
The Bishop of the Scranton Diocese is Irish mother and Italian father... he gets to party it up for all the holidays! And, if you know Scranton, you know the "tales". Darned phone again!
Because other people told you to. carlle. I didn't.
<sigh>
blame fm
Itsa nice grid Carlee, for the mostpart.
Kattie-kins!! {{hugs and smooches}} I just started this thing and it is not "flowing"... LOL
( did u get my email red? )
hey scarlet!
its NOT flowing at all..I feel am picking at it with a toothpick... or perhaps a jackhammer
Have not checked e-mails yet, kat... will check soon. Hey, pinkie!!
Carlee, I am assuming you are talking to Scarlet, and not me, but if you are talking to me, no.
ba6/24 - the slogan of the Mr 007 Fleming's non-appreciation society.
( I call u turtle... to discern between the 2 of u ...how confusing )
Good clue, Hazel. TY.
yes it is confusing. I would have chosen a totally differentuser name had Ithought about ti.
There are four "reds" in here... redshoes, moi, redturtle and another, whose name escapes me now.
And it plurals, Scrabler.
TY again Hazel
and...when kattie comes on..we have same confusion should scarlet and myself be in here
hazel is a shade of red/brown
LOL... I forget WHO I am sometimes...
My eyes are hazel, or darkish green
Aricept can helpScarlet....
I have returned!!!!!!
Ditto, Scrabbler.
( apparently red..u and I cause a great deal of confusion..just by being)
Scarlet O'Hara, wife of Rhett?
Welcome back, MM.
Good suggestion, RTH!
LOL, red... the only pill I take is a vitamin... If I can remember where I put them... LOL
Hi MM...
Yes... AnnieBrooklyn calls my husband "Rhett", Scrabbler. LOL
Hi movieman
Hi, movieman!! Happy St. P's Day to thee!
I'm just sayin...
How is life on the plantation, Scarlet?
TY Scarlet
hi MM
oh crap..now I want m&m's... THANKS a BUNCH mm
I did something new today people...
Anyone like my icon?
Very tiring, Scrabbler... those blasted mansion fires are so nasty...
love it!
**clicking on MM's icon**
MM it isaperfectBabble icon!!!
It's interesting, MM!
What did you do, red?
hi everyone. love your icon movieman
Good one, MM.
Tell us, RTH.
Hi Deb
this grid... is... yackky...am seriously considering digging out...nope..wait...I have an idea
I fed the horse down the road! It was sort ofscary for me as I am afraid of horses, but he didnt bite me,however,he isn'tsurper gentle either... He took a long timesniffing the apple piece and then snatched it formmy hand...
and orange cat? who wouldnt love it!
nice icon mm
choo choo is a word!
seen any good movies lately, mm?
Neat-O, RTH! Horses are beautiful animals, but big and kind of scary to be near.
Haz!! Movieman's icon is wearing the deely-bobbers I was telling you about earlier... now, think of three thousand people wearing them...
MM, how did you take OrangeCat's picture?
Yes,I was overly proud of me!
Butte Montana is downright scary on st patrick's day
I'm thinking.... This is one of the first years that I've noticed St Patrick's day stuff in the shops. I have an awful feeling that most of it was made in China.
and Korea
Heresy!!
Out here in the country, when driving, I sometimes stop on the road to go up to a fence and talk to cows or horses and watch them. There is also a sheep farm.
I love cows, but not really too keen onhorses, so big and unpredictable...
Buffalo, New York goes crazy before and during St Patrick's Day.
I am afraid of horses too, red. I've ridden for years... or rather, I did way back when. I prefer cows.
there... in keeping with the theme
Not to saddle up, though... Yea for kattie!
cows are ok. bulls are not
he snorted at me very loudly when we passed again, not sure what that meant.
No bulls.
It can depend on the breed of cattle, some cows can be nasty.
I pass cows everyday on my way to and fromjust about anywhere here in Vermont
Scrabs, I just looked up the picture using Google images
he wanted another apple, RTH.
true, and very stubborn.
they can certainly look menacing
i remember seeing a little calf at a country fair... was so little still wanted to suck..started sucking my fi gers...hubby was disgusted..i thought was cute..and sad
And today I'm only listening to music by Irish musicians
te5/18 anyone?
Kattie... are you in here? Did you purple out the grid already?
Cheese state, Jayde. I visited Burlington in Oct 2006--wanted to move there stat.
i greened it out
gee house is freezing this am,
I know, MM, but I was joking because OrangeCat is on with us now.
I like calves too, kattie... but had my heart broken when I did a story on veal farmers! Horrible~
te5/18 - looks like t is missing from an annoyed word
good, i'll be over mm
Yay Scrab! you should!:)
yeap....I've seen it... first hand too...
we haven't had tenrec for ages
Good afternoon angels!
Hi Uniquity
LOL, kat... keeping in theme! Hello university angel!~
morning uni... ata
Hello Uniquity!
hi uni.
wb uniquity!
That clue went right past me, Hazel
movieman, you gave me an idea to reacquaint myself with U-2 and Bono...
bbl.....
like snakes out of Ireland
Which one, Scrabbler?
Until later, red!
I have Dropkick Murphys on
I love U2
The te5, Hazel
University angel...pah! Uni is gonna kill my soul! :)
bye red!
Are the Chieftains on your playlist, MM?
So do I, Scrabs
That is my one nephew's fave, Westford--a groupie!
university is fuuun!
U2 is good, but I can never take that much. Only one or two of my favourites..
Nah... you are woman... I can hear you roaring from here, Uni!
Ata, not at NS prices!
oh.. i may have finally found a shamrock shaped cookie cutter
they are so bad they're good
te5/12 - te plus a word meaning bashful, but replace one consonant with another.
clue for the Y?
Lori has one Carlee, borrow hers!
The Chieftans always make it to Scranton in the early Spring, Haz... they sell out~!
my granddaughter sent me a CD of Flogging Molly too
oh ... I didn't have to pay for my 3 years!
Nope, Haz, but I could put one or two of their songs on there
Oh, I am Very much paying for mine...7-8 grand a year and I am on student loans.
Aha, I got it, Hazel. TY!
They've been going for donkey's years, Scarlet with many changes of line up. It was very sad when Derek Bell died.
I see that late night O'Brien in the grid
ick ick
a little far red...
If I didn't pay, I would enjoy this so much more! I might also never leave....
Flogging Molly? Ouch!
Glad you got there, Scrabbler.
The late lead singer of Nirvana is in the grid
If I were wealthy I would be a continual uni student.
They are huge in Scranton, Haz... as was The Lord of the
me too, scrabs
saw him there too
Dance... Flatley... although I personally could not abide him...
So much to learn, so little time.
Loved the dance, he was another matter.
There was an interesting documentary on TV about the Chieftains. The little metrognome, Paddy Moloney is very much the leader of the band.
he really is too full of himself scarl
Amen, Scrabbler!
Michael Flatley would be fine if he just danced and kept his mouth shut.
I know, westford... too much ego and negativity...
Haha, metrognome---funny!
He is the comedian of the bunch, right, Haz?
that's too funny haz never could come up with a proper name for him
But... he never does, does he, Haz? The man makes me so uncomfortable.
hey is great big Sea still pop out east uni?
love the Chieftans and all their guest singers
He's the little one who plays the tin whistle and the pipes. The name was given him by one of the sound men who travels with them - because he keeps such good time.
listening to Tommy Makem ( RIP ) singing a song about Australia
Oh, the energy!
I'm sure to some Carlee, but not to me (Never liked them). I thought they went into semi-retirement?
Wild Colonial Boy
No, Scarlet, Mr Flatley likes the sound of his own voice far too much for my liking. And it's such a weird accent as well.
bummer.. i rather enjoyed them...
this grid...is horrible
he has dodgy hair too
his was the best River Dance though
I meant the Chieftan's little guy as the comedian, Haz... I don't think Mr. Flatley has a sense of humor.
Well, he did invent it so I suppose he's entitled to be best.
River d
Dance is well worth the time to see and enjoy. Once is enough.
Yes, Paddy Moloney is a bit of a comedian.
LOL, Haz... I had wondered for years what the heck that was... now I know. Nothing!
about 10 years ago we were in a little shop in Galway I was buying sweaters and my husband was talking with the owner's old mother
This is good, west....
she was telling all about Michael (big fan apparently ) and she said 'He's not bad to look at either"
Carlee, enjoy the chat, don't worry about the word search.
Did you avoid making sick noises?
Ack!
Eeewww, Westford
( Irish guys..just...don't do it for me..nor the accent... its the highlanders that do it for me)
tried not to laugh until we were out of there
Ah but there are lots of different Irish accents. We're bound to find one that suits.
he's a Galway boy0
I like tall, dark, hairy Italian guys.
Oh, yes, the Scots and the Aussie accents are verboten to my daughter... too enchanting... LOL
I thought he was born in the States?
I'll never forget seeing a cross-stitch kit of Daniel o'Donnell
LOL, Scrabbler.... on the back too?
the ONLY thing I like about st paddy's day is you get to see green...this time of year..everythign is beige...trees, grass, roads ( from sanding and salting) the snow....beige....
any help for the y? or the i in the fourth row?
Ah, Daniel. I'll bet he's not on MM's list of musicians.
Sure--something to grab, Scarlet, haha, in my fantasies only.
don't know haz she claimed him that's for sure
HI, deb!!
ye4==what you say when you bite into something gross
Hi Red:)
I know Jean Butler is from Long Island
LOL, Scrabbler... you'd love the Greek/Italian festivals here in town... hair to spare!!
thank you scrabbler
Oh, yes, Greek men too!
I'll have to google it. I hope Michael Flatley doesn't monitor google usage and think that I'm interested.
i'm somewhat biased for Greek men :-)
He will be at your doorstep in a few hrs, Hazel.
Born in Detroit, Michigan.
arab men ( not the short chubby no necked ones..the tall lean ones)...and scots men...
Haha, OrangeCat.
!~!~!~!~fireworks~!~!~!~!
ditto here carlee
If that were to prove true, Haz, you can pick up the red phone to Mr. Clooney to deal with the fall-out!
we lived in Greece for awhile and I could never figure out how the tall dark handsome young Greek men seemed to change into pudgy bald men when they got older
Really, Hazel??? I never knew that--a fake Irishman!
Well done, pinkie!! @@@
So much for the fake Irish accent.... He's American. Aren't you all glad?
<SPAKLING GREEN POMPOM TIRLS WITH GOLD COINS FLYING> for pink....woot woot

the good old days of Brownies and Juniors and Cub Scouts

I am hopelessly stuck on four final words. Can someone clue re 8/55 please?
ec8/50 - e, plus a facial feature, having consumed food.
good ole days are here west... the joys of being a guide leader...
Those ridiculous head band thingies that are covered in bright green sparkles and have little antennae on top... they bounce around when the head moves... too silly for me. I wear reindeer antlers when the grandchildren visit... they light up! :-)
what a great clue haz
The antlers, not the grandchildren!
right..okay red..
I really enjoyed the boys more never knew what they'd come up with
( I have to admit the icons look cute together today )

Or, he8/55 - he, a greek letter, finish with three quarters of an English beverage
Sorry!
haz is excused for giving us such a good clue
Thank you, westford, you are a woman of mercy.

Well, it's Saint Patrick's Day so the US would probably condemn you to cabbage.
and stewed shamrocks
chocolate covered cabbage?
Boiled cabbage water & dry bread.:D
Served up by leprechauns in aran sweaters
oh man, what a yuchy day to go to PB:)
With Michael Flatley lepping about in the background.
ooo. unpleasant
Hello Jacula!
well that will haunt my dreams
Plus you have to break your back to kiss The Blarney Stone.
ag 6?
ag6 - ag plus a reworking of the word that goes with tidy.
nm got it, but need the 7?
ty haz
ag7 - begins as one who is ambivalent as to divine belief, but last two letters are vowels
ty haz
Gosh, Jacula, I see I feature heavily in your newly restored flickr photos!
You're welcome, cybernan.
HI all - my work schedule changed last week from wednesdays-thursdays to mondays and wednesdays and i KNEW, just KNEW that today's grid would be too large for me and, lo and behold, 248 !! arrrggghhhh
You do, Haz! I'll remove you if you'd prefer?
I don't mind, just as long as people don't sue you for giving them nightmares.
LOL
Now come one, montreal. Are you a man or a mouse?
Hi all. This is a switch - he4/5 on a Monday morn.
Did I forget to say Hello again? Hello everyone!:D
mouse ?
It's just that you weren't being all courageous about the challenge ahead.
phone...
Montreal is a phone?
Just on briefly, but hello while it lasts.
Jacula - what is the writing on your icon? I could get my glasses but that would mean me moving.
A mouse 'phone - like those Mickey Mouse ones??
those various Cartland pics are a hoot Jac
Hello Vicuna!
i believe montreal is franco-phone...
ah, I slay me
lol, jbp.
Haz - It says, 'It's either St. Patrick's Day or you're Dr. Banner and I've angered you.'
any clues on that pesky Y at the bottom?
Thank you! Moving avoided.
ye4/8 for that y.
Um, Jac, is all that makeup a cry for help?????
ye + 1st 2 letters of what goes in a mousetrap.
ye.. something you might say if you saw or smelled something gross
ye4/8 - sound of disgust
Hi Everyone!
wow, that's a WORD? I thought that was just the sound I made when I had to empty the mousetrap!
jbp - If you look in Atalante's Flickr pics you'll see a host of 'Cartlandised' Babblers.
hi carra
Hello carra.
I've seen Stid and Jilli
Hello, carra.
Hello jbp, haz, jacula, vicuna
I'll check next time Atalante's on
is on
you can check in the who's online, flosey
but not really cos I'm drawing
dcsc's in there, too. I thought he might have had a pink beard.:)
and atalante, at least the canines and felines were spared the "treatment"
oh, of course, thanks jbp
so far jbp ..... there are a few victims left ...
time is the key element here - i love a challenge but there are ONLY 24 hours in a day..."sigh" - phone call was my youngest daughter telleing me that she was pregnant with her 3rd child !!
Hello carra.
We've had no Antipodean representatives in the Cartlandising.
be 7?
Congrats, Montreal.
Oooh - Grandpere Lucien!
we had no willing victims from down under ...
how exciting, mtl
Congratulations, Montreal!
tx Jacula and Haz- will be our 5th grand child...
Did you ask herin & MrP, Ata?
Yay congrats grandma !
That Seainella is quite a sight.
be7 what you do in vegas + the r*** in spain + second vowel
I bet Lickey'd be up for the makeover.
we have 4 grandsons..
I didn't *ask* anyone, people volunteered for some reason!
tx nan, Vi and frantique
be7 - run together be4/6 with the last letters of what you make from grapes
"Any publicity is good publicity"?
Ata - Come to think of it.... YOU haven't had a makeover yet.
"Negative attention is better than no attention"?
just stopped by to say hello to my fellow babblers - must now go back to work - happy babbling all - "POOF"
told you there were still a few victims left!
A good point, well made, Jacula.
Bye montreal - have a good day and be safe.
ty haz
3, at least
I think when Ata's evil work is finished, each of her victims should be permitted to do her in return.
hey don't blame me! Blame Haz - I mean fm. It was her idea! I just made it reality :P
I rather think you're right, Ata. It was FM's idea, wasn't it?
*Keeps quiet about the fact that it was Jac talking about BC the began it all.*
of course
*Looks around. 'Phew! Think I got away with it.'*
Yes, careless talk costs lives.
there. loads of people to blame apart from me!
ok..salt dough shamrocks in the oven on convection
Don't you mean 'lines', Haz? ROFLOL
Very true, Jacula!
blows kisses.. later all
Ata is hereby declared wholly innocent from any responsibility for her actions.
Bye frantique.
'Bye, frantique.
ty Vi. I knew you were a lovely person. Now just wait till you get Cartlanded ...
Is this you exercising your regal authority, Vicuna?
Fireworks, at long last
Congratulations flosey!
I'm sure I will be truly lovely then. *ulp*
Well done, flosey.
Yay for flosey!
hopefully I should get a chance to do you tomorrow ... *grin*
No, Haz, merely reflecting the will of the people.
May I be cartlanded Jac? I'd love to send it to my kids
Er, when was the vote taken?
email me a pic flosey!
A volunteer! Flosey, you are a star!
sorry, no I mean Ata
Just now. You and jac and Ata were all in clear agreement that everything was FM's fault, as usual.
ok, thanks
flosey - Ata's doing the 'official' makeovers. I just did a one-off Warhol version on Haz. e-mail a good clear photo to Ata.
Can we blame FM for Michael Flatley?
of course!!
Indubitably.
Definitely!
What a burden that woman carries.
He's not even Irish.
She's strong.
thats just a disgrace
Neither is FM< so it all hangs together.
But was she born in the States like him?
she has friends there ...
Just think. All this time the States has been blaming Ireland for Michael Flatley and he's one of them.
Haz, Haz, Haz, either one is Irish or one is not Irish.
It must be her fault then... I mean... she has friends th5/12.
But he wasn't born in Ireland - so why the silly accent?
FM's general culpability notwithstanding, I think most of the world is in happy agreement that everything can be blamed on the USA.
Jamie Oliver wasn't born in the East End ... so why the equally silly accent?
Haz - I wondered that about Ned Kelly in both versions of the film. He actually said he'd never been to Ireland.
Irish accents are fun. If I had a good excuse I'd fake one, too.
Maybe people (like Flatley) just use the accent for convenience?
Convenience? You mean, the better to solicit pots of gold?
An accent of convenience? That's an intriguing concept.
Afternoon all (or should I say in my best Irish accent, top of the morning to you)
much more likely
Yes - to convince people that you're from the old country.
begorrah begorrah!
(I've never heard an Irishman saying 'top of the morning'!
whats that got to do with the price of fish, haz?
My friends from Ireland do say that Haz
its obviously an Irish saying!
I mustn't be rubbing shoulders with the right people!
bet Flatley says it
I could name 3 entertainers who fake Brummie accents. It's not that they don't come from Birmingham but they don't come from the areas that speak like 'Marlene' or 'Barry' from Auf Weidersehen Pet'.
Ah, to be sure, he does!
Wouldnt they say 'its yourself?'!
I would say 'it's yourself' if I met someone I hadn't seen for a while.
Surely people would know its themselves !!LOL
Who are the fake Brummies? And are they rejects from Crossroads (the Noele Gordon original)?
Do people really add, 'so you do/so he does' to the end of every other sentence like Corrie's Jim MacDonald does? My guess is that they don't.
Not if they had escaped from the home for the bewildered, caitlyn
They did in Belfast, Jacs!
LOL Haz
Hi, all. We have the resident computer whizzes here now... so, help, please. My mail window is half-sized and I cannot get it to conform to full screen resolution. I have double-clicked on the blue border atop the page... with the Yahoo Mail identity. I have tried to click on the icon to re-size the box, but it is faded and will not take any command. What am I doning wrong, and what can I do to make the little critter behave itself? And, no gremlins or little people are loose on my desktop... I think!
Caitlyn - No stranger than saying, 'You've had your hair cut!' to someone. Like they'd been to the hair salon in their sleep??
Jacula - some people do (in Belfast, yes!) and it's infuriating.
I think they do and they also say 'he turned round to me and said...' 'so I turned round to 'im and said........' Must be an awful lot of dizzy people about
Or Jac when you come in soaked they say 'is it raining?'
click on the bottom right hand of the window, there should be some /// marks. and drag it outwards
My father used to describe conversations with 'Says I...... says he' It doesn't seem to be used as much anymore.
Thats true Jac and I like the saying are you reading that newspaper when its on the chair next to them
Okay, Ata. Thank you.
*should* work, scarlet
Fingers crossed for Scarlet.
I see your mind works like mine, Deeha.:)
Of course, classic Irishism, upon viewing a corpse 'Doesn't he look very like himself?'
what do real Irish people think of 'Father Ted'?
LOL Haz
Haz - Dr. Carl Chinn, Malcolm Stent and Jasper Carrott.
Or, 'she'd have been 90 this week if she'd lived another two years'
Haz - LOL!
Father Ted is quite popular, I think, although I can't stand that awful old priest!
They say that here too Haz
The old priest makes my skin crawl but I did find it very funny when his head was set alight once.
Another reported saying upon viewing a corpse 'You can see that holiday did her the world of good'
ROFLOL
no!!
LOL
was she drinking lots of Baileys?
Someday I must tell you about the riotous evening I spent with the local undertaker's wife.
what better time than now?
However, since it's time for me to get cooking, it won't be now! I'd better get to the kitchen. Bye for now!
ohhh :( byeee!
Indeed you must, Haz. I shall look forward to that and be sure to gird my loins appropriately beforehand.
Thank you, Ata. **here's the cup of smug I borrowed, and I'm returning it doubled, for you** You're a computer wonder!
Bye Haz
Byee! (Remind me some day and I'll tell all)
TTFN, Haz.
it worked? yay!
Well done Ata and Scarlet
I've enjoyed the chat - haven't looked for, or found, a single word since I got back here. LOL. Time I saw to the laundry etc. BBL.:D
Bye Jac see you soon
sounds familiar Jac!
I've have just 'given' a word though.:( *Slinks off to PB--->
I love this chatline... Someone always has the right answer, and Jacula is a wonder too... I ask the most oblique kind of question, and you ZING@! instantly give me a web address! Thank you all! :-)
Its only a little one Jac

Happy Saint Patty's day!
so5 ispig language for "come and get yer food, fatso"
but *why*? why so5? where did the word come from?
is 7: lines on a map that indicate depth of water
Isn't so5 slang that resulted from needs on the farm?
Hi scuba is vowel and where you get clean..not the shower!
so5 is the best word for shouting loudly across the foothills
*single line
but why not gooey or tooey or looey?
Ah yes...being an engineer, I got it.
an is 6 connects points equal height on land, an is 7 connects points of equal depth in water on a map
aren't they Donald Duck's nephews?
atalante, you are not one who has shouted loudly across the foothills, i take it? 8-)
sooey is an anamanapaeia or how ever you spell it.
not every day, no ...
LOL
Clues for the b7/s, anyone?

i just have to vent ..... 'retainage' is not accepted as a word in the dictionary ..... we use that word in legal contracts frequently ---- i'm so angry!
oooh, great word, grw. but we are stuck with the dictionary that's in the game! 8-(
a real estate person was here before saying the same thing
It is a good word grw
phooey - on that note - back to work and my contracts with make believe words ... LOL
we used it frequently when talking about our basement
LOL grw
there are no 100% correct dictionaries. dictionaries are made by flawed humans. they are always being updated. typos still get in, words are still left out
here is my rant of the day. the economy is in the tank, the feds lower the interest rates they charge the banks, and then the banks raise the rates they charge the public. that is gouging !!
cheeky, i agree completely. can't wait to get my country back!
second re 6?
english has the most words of any language ever in existence - a "correct" dictionary would be mind-bogglingly large
I agree cheeky
Different vowel ending to the other nan
i guess the feds arent propping up the economy, just the banks
even the famous Oxford English Dictionary (which is now about 50,000 volumes) doesn't cover everything, but they sure try!!
chons
by the way, someone please tell me that cold pizza has less calories than warm pizza. lol
trouble is, people keep talking, and when that happens, new words come into being
yes cheeky it does
frindle
yes, cheeky. and cold chicken has even fewer than that!
frindle???
of course
cold lasagna has none at all
does that mean ice cream must have negative calories cos its even colder?
i recommend toast with honey
My rant today is that Heather Mills is angry that she has only been awarded 25 million pounds for her divorce !! She is ranting on the tv now

not a lot of joy in this one AsGreen

Uh oh, new phantoms nowfor me!!!
that makes sense that you didn't feel it, as you were not grounded. They service high-test power lines by helicopter, with the chopper connected to the lines. They stated doing that because birds and squirrels don't get electrocuted sitting/running on the lines.
and heretic
interesting, and nice of them to not electrocute birds and squirrels...
oh, jean alread said that one.

A bucket of ice water, you mean, herin?

oh, lady, were that those existed. I spent my 1st 15 years w/out AC>
No none wet
The bed was so hot last night and so was the floor.
herin have you ever slept on a foam matress?
we used to sleep out ide on chaises under a misquito net.
yikes dc
some houses had sleeping porches - screened porches they dragged beds onto in the summer.
or roof terraces (in egypt)
DC we do that here
I've nevr had a/c. i've so deprived
Ata neither have i

OH thanks Jac
We never had ac growing up, but in Cleveland there were only a few weeks a year when we really suffered, so it wasn't necessary.

Herin - also: http://tinyurl.com/2ryddn
they don't ....
vi, visiting family in Cleveland and East of Columbus were always wonderful things in the summer. :D so cool there in the Summertime.
i was there during mums day and days leading up to it it was never hot then
Yes, I always thought it was pretty nice. But I do have the memories of lying awake in bed, long before it gets dark, sweltering.
Now, Oklahoma summers without a/c are not good.
be 4/6 the third please..with sugar on top
Washington metro area can be pretty hot at times
sigh
be4/6 - curved

march 27- apr 3 is the forecast for peak bloom. so only teh earliest will be out now.
Thats it im buying one of those blankies
Herin - I thought you might.
there is hardly any swamp here, just a tad bit on Roosevelt island. Marshland, however, was aplenty till most was filled in.
I just got told by the b.f to fill the tub with ice and chill out literally since im in such a bitch of a mood
Jind sorry i didnt reealize you were from the same area i apologize
Yes! I live in DC (for the past 7 years) and suburbs almost all my life. I hate the humidy here
ty dc was just curious. i think we have some here in NC
Jind i used to live in Virginia
Herin - At least Silver Eagle (the blanket seller) has an Aussie outlet. I wish they had a UK one (thinking of my night 'flushes'). LOL
MLF - whereabouts?
i miss the humidity when i'm away, though, as awful as it is.
I can get it sent to me then sent to you if you want
Jind i lived in Oakton and Reston
That's very kind of you, Herin. I'll let you know when I've checked if there are any UK outlets.

in same room/house as one, or on touching one?
<My kitty is quirky, loves being washed and vacuumed and groomed
and is currently looking like road kill on the floor. Poor baby
Herin...that reminds me of a cat i had that used to love trying to jump in the shower with me. I used to tell her she wasn't supposed to like water.
my cat currently looks like an escapee from a lunatic asylum. like normal
some cats like water.
jasper likes it, feldspar does not. he's a double-coat domestic tom, she's a single-coat siamese.

Don't talk to me about peanut butter. I wasted lots of ingredients making a peanut butter & banana cheesecake a few days ago. It was disgusting. We all hated it and so it went in the bin.
what about the irish potatoes, Jac
ewwwwww! whatever possessed you to try and make that ? sounds awful
wow it sounds so wonderful!!
Rule of thumb: ANything sweet with peanut butter in it never ever gets made in this house
sounds awful to me too
Banoffi pie or cheesecake is fine and I think peanut butter cheesecake would be fine, but the banana combo didn't work.
LOL
now I want a PB & banana sandwich!
oooohhh i love banoffi
my favorite sandwich is PB, orange marmalade, banana slices and Fritos corn chips
mmmmmm banoffee
hi jessmom

LOLOL, dc!
hey pam!
Stid - I see it's almost your 2 year anniversary with Babble too!! :)
Hi, stid
ag + Mr Hawthorne's short name ****
yes angela! isn't it great? I plan on babbling ALL day on my anniversary (if i can)
i switched to dvorak 11 yearrs ago. i coud never keep e/i r/p and other combos straight on QWERTY. switch tripled my typing speed hand cut my error rate by 2/3.
ty nDan....slow fingers at the moment to match the brain
i also found the right hand does nothing at all with qwerty, esp since i space left-handed.
ty gor the ag ndan.
i assumed ag 7 would be with s but isnt. so clue for that?
you're so cute Stid - I think you should devote the entire day to Babble, myself!!
wow, dcs. I never heard of dvorak, though I have seen other keyboards, I never paid attention.
i use a dvorak map on a qwerty keyboard. it baffles people, as only the A, the M and teh letter keys are in the same place.
brb, researching human history
ag + another 3 ltr abbrev for nbrs + backward 3-toed sloth
finally got the first bo5/18 -- onward, 48 more
tx for that ndanlia
ty ndanlia
I love the whole idea, dcs. Just appeals to me on so many levels. I know, I am weird...

or 1st 3 letters of what you blow when yoou have a cold
ag 7 clues anyone????????
if i try to type consonant one more time i will scream like an Irish Banshee
pam, it took me a week to make the switch. i put a tiny spreadsheet of the layout at the top of my keyboard. now i touch type dvorak, but have to look at keyboard for qwerty.
sing it, krista!!
ooh, gotta rush - need to pick up h/s er from city council meeting...
LOLOL, krista--i "see" that word!

No person from UK would get that 'add a man's name to he4/7' for he8. It's not a man's name he4/5. Is it short for something? We'd clue it, either 'garden shurbu' or ' goddess of youth' + 'make lace' + vowel.
re 6 24 the second one?
Just thought I'd poke my oar in and say that. LOL
ty all for super clues.
is there an re6/24 in between the cash-back and the restarting of the computer?

Actually, today I walked past the dairy case at the store and I really really missed cheese... of all the stupid allergies to develop, the bovine one is most inconvenient
thanks seain! been looking for that one for AGES!
latose, or protein allergy to it, stid?
stid - you must let me know what your allergies are, privately. I need to try to work out a menu for you.
Jacula -- assume vegan (no animal products at all), only plant allergies that apply are eggplant (deadly) and okra (really uncomfortable)
last time I accidentally had a bit of chocolate with any dairy in it my blood pressure tanked within minutes. Should have used the epi-pen, seain, but was too far out of it too fast.
gotcha, stid. there are vegan-guaranteed chocolates you know, i've bought many at The Vegan Store in Rockville, MD
Yes, but, stid, you seem to develop new allergies by the month or so, so please keep me updated on that.x
YES! and I lurrrv them (to use feather's word). but very expensive.
I do actually eat a bit of egg and seafood and chicken still, but always feel a bit peculiar afterward... so I am moving more and more toward pure veganism in my food
Novelists Guild of America Strike, from The Onion: http://tinyurl.com/3ypx3f
the 2nd re6? the one that follows the refund?
change last vowel, harp
stid, here the vegan chocolate no more than any other chocolate
thanks dc, never heard of it
but i live in a very expensive part of the coutry.
Thanks for the info, Stid, Please e-mail it to me though.
it's always nice to visit elsewhere, things are so cheap.
hm. will have to look around a little more seain! I generally buy fair-trade, organic, vegan chocolates when I can...
all of a sudden i'm thinking of Jim Nabors.... just found go6!

go6 made me think of eating go6 peas :)
thanks for that harp!
add a ***cup, aka ***cough, to the gn4

co8 to speak clearly
My daughter, due to being kept alive from starving herself, was in a clinic for about 3 years. Me and her Dad may have put her in there, but the price of her survival was the usual trickcyclist one... Mum's to blame. It drips out every now and then, like poison, even though I did nothing wrong.
Not dripping now, because I've shut a door to make sure not.
hi and bye stid!!!!
hello everyone
i dont have co 6 before it either lol
i know what you're saying jac. sometimes it's easier to blame another person, than accept that you are the one who needs to change
Maybe it was the CONSERVATION OF FOOD so she could fit into that little hand wahed school uniform
co + **** and now
co6 = add the word that sounds like what your ears do, means location
Right - she's got her coat on now (4:34am) and is opening the front door. This is an hour early to what she said and she's now gone back up wioth a coffee to wake b/f up.
