Did you know he had his surgery and the sentinel node was positive for cancer?
no -- hadn't heard. I know it's not the same area but when I had my surgery for breast cancer there were 3 affected nodes, so had extra radiation. That was 8 years ago and so far so good.
He has his follow-up appointment with the general surgeon on Wednesday, so we'll learn more then. And we haven't met with an oncologist yet.
remind me, jellen -- where was the surgery?
He had part of his right middle finger amputated, and corresponding lymph nodes removed.

About the same except we've been to the doctor. She said that it's not full-blown sinusitis but that the backup from teh stuffy nose is putting pressure on his eardrums and facial nerves (no outright ear infection though). She gave me some xylometazole spray to use, said that should clear it up and otherwise in a week we might have to think about antibiotics. But she expects this'll work.

Xylometazole--I will look that up--I think that is similar to other antihistamine sprays we use here in the US.
It's a decongestant. Lemme see if I can find a US trade name for it...
I see that it is a nasal decongestant spray. Those are very effective but should not be used for more than 4-5 days.
They told me one week at the longest... also at the pharmacy. Well, here's hoping we only need it for a couple of days!
