Second goal: to take care of Tim and make sure he feels cared for. Third goal: take care of myself. All the rest is extra and not to be do4 on a daily base for now :)

Both are drinks: 2 tablespoons fresh pressed lemon juice and 2 tablespoons maple syrup and a pinch of cayenne pepper in a tall glass of water a couple times a day. Has tons of vitamins, minerals-a-plenty and calories too. It's from a detox diet but of course oyu can use it just to boost you health. I love the taste but then again I love maple syrup...
do you think I can buy maple syrup in the netherlands?
Second one is good old apple cider vinegar and honey, same amounts as the other drink and I suppose just as beneficial.

Yes Sprite, I'm just looking at the label on mine, it actually says "maple syrup" . It's winnetou brand and says "product of canada" on the front. This is the kind I buy for pancakes!

it is a shop that only has natural products and cures. The big ones carry almost everything a supermarket does, but then in natural stuff only. From detergent to food, from medicine to drinks.

Oh, mustn't forget, and this sounds dumb, but if you drink that lemon drink, make sure you brush your teeth well after each one. I did the detox cleanse a couple times each for a couple weeks and was not diligent about it, resulted in big problems with two molars way in the back! Uck.

we saw maple syrup being collected in the pochonos. they literally hammered a tap into the tree and turned it on - it was amazing the syrup flowed out.

They also made a candy which came from the boiled down syrup-I got some to take home but ate it before we got there
from back in colonial days; a treat used to be to drizzle some on snow -- their version of candy
that's the way it's done sandy and then in the spring when the sap is flowing....they have these "cabanes au sucre" meaning sugar shacks where they make all kinds of foods with the syrup like baked beans and ham.....throw the syrup on the snow to have a wonder desert etc

in the olden days they would boil down the syrup and then pour it in the snow for a special treat for the kids

hi MonkeyG! Yes, it is the same one. Just got confirmed by doctor it is no mono (caya does have antibodies for mono, they found, but from an old infection, she cannot get it again), no bacterial disease, etc etc, it is a virus.
and she is slowly getting better and stronger, so as long as she doesn't have a relapse, there is nothing to worry about. Just let her sit out the ride.
