well, our resident "baker/know-it-all" says alspice comes from it's own berry so it wouldn't have cinn unless it was added after grounding up...personally, she's a bit batty, and makes me wonder at times...

I have a lot of experience with this sort of thing (worked for vets lots and in rescue). Unfortunately this lump is hard and irregularly shaped and doesn't move around. But I still hope t's an abscess. However it ian't painful and abscesses usually are. Sigh.

My friend Mary is struggling and I am constantly thinking of her, her husband and the kids.
We think the cat is about 10. We adopted her from a friend moving away, about 7 years ago when we think she was about 3. That friend got her as a big kitten; vet said at that time she could have been anywhere between 7 and around 14 months old. So anyway, yeah, she's definitely ABOUT 10.

Crossy, my friend Mary was diagnosed with brain cancer shortly after being induced early and delivering her 3rd child one year ago this week.
Good things about the cat: no weight loss, behavior changes, coat changes. limp even though this is under a leg, and no sign of dicomfort when I feel the lump up.

Crossy, she has a severe myopathy (muscle weakness) from chemo and can barely move. Chemo is on hold, a muscle biopsy was done, and steroid treatment will start. The good news: the cancer has not spread or recurred. Bad news, as is often the case: the cancer treatment is so toxic.

Snacks usually rice cakes with butter and hagelslag, or crackers and cheese, apples, raisins, and I admit sometimes cookies or a surprise egg.

i used to use the platter idea with my son as well sandy,i think ist something about the food being laid out all casual on a single large plate versus a formal dinner set up that makes picky eaters enjoy them

This is just such a GOOD cat.... NEver scratched or bitten in her life, loving, oddly doglike sometimes, adorse the dog (you should see her: she'll snag the dog by both cheecks with her claws so she can wash her eyebrows (dog is a Great Dane)).
