Mr RPes I hate to say this but there should be more rental clauses about children as they can do more damage than pets or smokers
infern, I feel that we were accepted cause we only have 2 children... and they are very well known in the community as being very well behaved. The family that owns the house knows good friends of ours. So our kids came with a good behaviour clause automatically and, yes, I agree with that
my daughter is the ultimate pet lover and rented to people with pets but it wasn't the pets she had a problem with it was the owners not taking proper care of them

She wasn't herself yesterday, elder, reluctant to walk in the afternoon. Her right fore leg is painful - no idea what happened but she's under treatment from the in-house vet.

No, I don't think so. She seems to have a bit of a weakness in that leg and sometimes forgets herself. Most of the time she's fine.

Haz, you know, if they are reluctant to go out something is wrong. She has the best that's on offer in the Vet world. I wish her a speedy recovery. I am sure it will not be long before she is snuffling around in all the familiar places.
She may well develop arthritis as she gets older, in which case she'd be on permanent drugs to keep pain at bay.
It was quite funny yesterday afternoon. She staged a sit-down strike so often that I eventually got the message.
If she'd been a Cavalier (not noted for their powers of pain endurance) she'd have been yelling her head off.
Bless her. yes, springers are soft in more ways than one , but they will keep going , to get that daily fix of smells and snuffling around.

I can't talk, I tend not to rush to the doctor either.
My elder daughter held the family record, though, for non-doctor appearances. She hadn't seen the doctor from the age of 11 until 24!
13 years of not bothering the doctor. He made the joke that he thought she must be dead.
With the exception of the back, I am usually reluctant to go as it seems, the older one gets appointments lead to others ..on and on.
Oh, I know. My mother was a very reluctant doctor attender as well, but she had to attend more often as she got older.

The other worry is to have the title of the heart sink patient, you know those people who are forever at the doctors..
or dragging their children, when a few days in bed/sofa with the usual remedies will sort it out.
The regulars - I'm sure there are all sorts of names for them. I know what you mean - I kind of expect to get better on my own but have had to learn a coupe of times that being pig-headed doesn't necessarily lead to cure.

I had a particularly bad sinusitis one Christmas and only made it to the doctors when husband threatened to cancel Christmas altother unless I went.
He was interested to see that the antibiotic I was given was the one used for calves with pneumonia. He had great faith that I would get better after that.

He was right then. Sinus trouble/ infection is agony. Only had it once that was enough.

It was awful. I completely lost my sense of smell for about a week. Christmas cooking smells completely passed me by. My fear was that it would be permanent, but it came back eventually, thank goodness. Everything tastes of cardboard.

Well, exactly. I have a friend who has no sense of smell and I maintain that is one reason for her staying so slim - she gets little enjoyment from food.
Maybe that should be the new diet trend. Use a clothes peg to block your nose while eating.

much better this morning -- believe it or not, id actually forgotten that our roommate is a doctor! it was itching like HECK last night so i asked him if he had any thoughts...he looked at it, said it didnt look infections + recommended i get some hydrocortizone + some Aveeno lotion... i got both, slathered them on + it hasnt been itching since!

Super smart horse, extremely sure footed, but couldn't jump high and was ugly with very high withers. These folks talked to me for an hour longer than the owner before buying him to do the trail; I still herad from them every now an dthen for years. Great life that horse had after the stable sold him.
