88 words found here.
Jill -- how snowed in are you? we have a dusting here -- was snowing pretty hard when I left Auburn (just south of Seattle) three hours ago.
go Jac go
Its nice. Its sweet but with ice it could be deadly in summer
stid -- not snowed in at all -- a dusting yesterday but roads are bare
LOL Lucky thinks the snow is COLD! he won't pick up his new toy except by the rope...
PHANTOM arrest
wow jill -- you lucked out
the boys, of course, are hoping for snow (or at least ice) days Monday and Tuesday.
I am hoping they have school and the roads are NOT scary.
we have a good 4" and still falling jilli
see -- SSI is paradise (shouldn't have said that)
We got a dusting here last night, but was pretty much slush when I took the pup out for his morning constitutional at 7:00am

Night Trifs
is it medical?
so jill... when stidkid (who almost deserves it after his great effort at debate today) and I are in the area, do you want us to come up and see you on the island? I am happy to do that, was going to rent a car anyway so I can take the kid to see the malahat
Is this naughty Stidkid or the other stidkid?
is the 9 a compound word?
this is the elder stidkid, whose foot is WAY to big for his mouth (but he manages to insert it regularly)
no, it is church related
ok well done for him
ah, I was thinking lower back - same prefix. . .
that would be fine, stid, if you don't mind a bit of a mess here post-family-visit!
I never mind a mess, jill -- you have seen MY house! LOL
what does the 9 begin with.. sorry not paying attention]
sa9
Well, you've also seen the state of my house via gtmy blog.
come-on-a-my-house if you like!
75 words left to find now, btw.
crap...that doesn't help me at all.. thanks flosey
I hardly have any sa words to begin with...
church related
My house is still a sty
I have only the one
I looked up the sa9 in morewords (for shame, for shame)
jill - was sad to learn van johnson had died... he was SO HANDSOME. one of those men who looked good at every age.
sa9?? Scuttles off to look for it.
Van Johnson was always one of my faves. I remember when he had brain surgery yonks ago.
MrP gave the clue earlier - she found it while looking for a fish tank
who knew he was still living? I loved him.
AND betty page. She was pretty....
he was 95 or something
yes, I read about the brain surgery, was surprised to learn that
he always wore red socks
got the 9 - now I get mrp's reference - funny!
Bettty Page yes indeed
I don't remember betty page.
got the 9 and now understand mr p too
holy fish tank, batman!
Betty Page was one of the first Playboy grrls
she was a pinup girl in the 40s and 50s, I think.
betty boop, yes (my parents' generation)
I hear they offered Palin zillions of dollars to do a spread
Ah -- after my time if she was a Playboy girl
You do all know I just had to try 'sararium' after the ref to the MrP clue. Didn't work, btw.
but she was only a year or so older than you, jill!
Palin is a pain.
monopoly dollars, ruru?
she was famous that Betty page no?
so, stid?
OH!!!! Jac! i got the 9 from your comment!!!!!
http://www.bettiepage.com/obit/index.h tml
It's Betty Grable I remember.
so, that means she was technically AT your time! *wicked grin*
think churches and sa words jacula
I used to call my daughter Betty Boop when she was small - she had dark hair and big eyes. LOL
stid to the PB! calling Stid to the PB!

*heads to PB with candy canes*
TI** after TI** (by Cyndi Lauper), stid!
ti4, stid
bonne nuit, melon!
Now I'm trying for sacra, eny and sacred, ruru. neither of whch worl/
I could crush said candy canes and make into cheesecake for you,,,,;)
Cyndi Lauper is an alumna of my NY high school, ain't hat sweet?
cyndi lauper was either before or after my t4, I only ever listened to popular music the 4 years I was in high school
it is the Sa 9 inner church thing
I used to love pep la pew.
thanks for the help on the 9, jac...just got it!!!!
jac, think fish tank for the ending
how about an eye from the fourth row down? and an E from the middle row please, then I have NBT. already down to 87 words
as did I...
sheesh, stid, I have 155 left and 6 BTs so far but haven't explored all the tiles yet
go jill go!!!
So, it's an ium ending. * Thinks*
phantom: Totem
brb
"ioter" doesn't work, though it's how people back east say the greek eye word
stid - we say it like that here in Midlands, too.
OO! Just checked outside and wow -- snowing like mad! Boy am I glad I did my library job this evening instead of tomorrow!
if there were a D, I could spell idiot...what I'm feeling for not getting words that should be jumping out at me!
phantom...ionize
ah, maybe that's the origin for the pronunciation? a lot of midlands people settled new england
and atomize
jac, I bet you don't pronounce the r
Could be so, Stid.
(((jill))) stay safe and warm!
jilli - No! It's eye Oh TA.
supposed to go to a party tomorrow, just up the hill a bit.
That's what I thought, jac
you mean up the same hill? no driving? *envisioning Jill getting home on a little red flyer sled*
It worrys me so that you lot drive about an all that ice and snow
phantom: summize
up near the group mailbox, stid, rather a difficult uphill walk for this ancient
hi all
LOL lady -- for those who get a lot of it, not a big deal. the problem is the people who don't drive in it much who have "all wheel drive" and don't have the sense to go slowly so they can stay in control and STOP...
ah, yes. I don't suppose you-all can put in a ski lift for you at this late notice
it's kinda like when it rains in southern california...
NO im serious It really does worry me
hey diem! how snow-bound are you?
hi diem
...schools close, businesses shut down, driver's (if they're out, move at about 5-10 mph)...
I know lady -- rest assured, we are keeping safe.
Hi Diem and pardon i didn't mean to shout
Al I have to do today (Sunday 14th) is cook a leg of lamb roast dinner and check and print the Xmas card letters, then add personal notes to them.
herin, those of us who are used to it don't take chances and know how to cope. Roads do get sanded and salted too.
That'll take me 3 days! LOL
I have not cooked all weekend.
that sounds like a lovely day, Jac
71 / 121 = bedtime...g'night all!
I still need one o' th' eye from the fourth row down...
ok
sweet dreams pini!
NIght PINI
It will be Stid, if I'm not harrassed in any way for other things.
and an eee from the middle row too please. I have a palindrome already! down to 81
just snowing lightly not bad but WINDY
dinner at Jacs...I'll bring the sparkling wine...
Today people were so rude out at the shops. I helped a Grandma find a dvd today as the store clerks were too busy
yes, the winds are supposed to come thisaway overnight.
I think they'll hit the islands in the sound harder than us at the south end though
I hope I can make it to the party. The hostess is a brave lady who has terminal cancer, can't take any more chemo, but I guess is determined to go out having fun.
that is so sad lady -- 'tis the season, right?
good for her, jill. if you do get to go, have a lovely t4 okay?
it is. ANd bless her Jill
144 down.. time to pull laundry and call it a night..nite everyone.. good luck
later ruru! see you tomorrow!
night ruru
night ruru!
NIght Ru
the only thing we need to go to is the children's holiday brass concert in th evening. It's a BIG DEAL and we will go if it's at all possible. THey work so hard on it.

now I need that eye... *peers at grid, clueless but not i-less*

jilli - is that the big stor'nn' they were talking about on the nw coast? what's the prediction.
no, the eye on the fourth row fourth column
oh
do stay safe, but i hope you can 'nn'ake the party
whqat about the e...stid...
1st glance grid looks not bad 2nd glance i feel dumb !!
the Pac NW coast is seeing snow from BC to the south Puget Sound (outside my window) -- wet snow for us, but more to the north. getting COLD over the next couple days
LOL diem! we can be dumb together!
stid - it's like the prayer caller w/ an extra vowel
oh! I got one!
thanks nDanLia *thinking* prayer call -- which religion?
IM 6 27
Funny not ha ha, isn't it Herin? It's the season of supposed good will and everyone gets so caught up in trying to do it all before their deadline that they miss the point.
oh! I got it! actually, got the caller and the "like" one. thanks!
isla'nn'
and with 77 to go, I think I shall go to sleep... (great clues, nDan)
all I can think of is muezzin
too may
it's actually not the muzzein -- it's the vicar-like figure, same religion

any help with the ma7/8?
earthenware cooking vessel
to scratch a surface + v. s'nn'all [or bug]
had kept working on the grid, am now about to leave the PC. ma7-8 is a weird yeast spread beloved by Brits (if that tells you anything) :P
jilli must be busy, or hasn't gotten that far
I think it's a brand name; if so, it won't be the first, but still doesn't belong in Enable :(
pretty good clue, dan :)
actually, I think mites are arthropods
thanks for the help. got it. (Don't know how)

Hi! I just got here too.
lol good timing
Hello Sprite! I was looking at the icon themes and noticed your good news - at last some resolution! - you must be so relieved
hi MonkeyG
I am, lynxxx! It is so good to finally get some clarity on the situation. Am sleeping better now!
I'll bet! Congratulations!
thanks both of you :)
funniest thing of all is, the benefit doctor claims I could still work, but only 2 hours a day under serious limitations, all stated in his report. The work expert called me and said, well, the doctor claims that, but there is no job in the whole world where you can work 2 hours a day PLUS meet the limitations the doctor ordered. So you are going to get a full benefit anyway.
Awesome!
goes to show that the system does not work, although they used to say this new system reflected the reality so well, lol. But I am not going to complain. Am so happy with the peace I am granted now.
Yes, well. The system -- and i have been forced to study it for more tehn two years -- does need some adjustment. But no, do NOT cokmplain!!!!
I won't :D Am looking at the official letter every now and again and feeling like some heavy load dropped from my shoulders.
Frame it!
lol!
and how is the grid treating you?
Ok enough so far... one W is eluding me though. Oh well!
Finding the last 1/3rd difficult
sounds like a nice grid with a bite, I don't mind one for the Sunday :)
back again keep losing connection hi there sprite hugs
Me either but today I have to get furniture upstairs and assemble it, so I probably won't get topo far on the grid.
hi lobo :) *hugs* How are you?
and congratulations on your Cert! WTG lobo!
back again
wb again
oh lynxxx like that is it
congratulations, sprite! The progression from victim to self-advocate to victor indeed is an effort tot cherish.
thanks BabbleRabble :)
Darn it, an oscar is a fish! It is SO a word!
my phantom of today is tiramisu.
mine is murrelet
never heard of that, Ata *takes dictionary from the shelves*
Mine is atomize.
tis a birdie
Now of ocurse without the "let" it IS a seabird in the grid...
small chunky bird :)
typical lol
great pic of hobbit-in-action, ata
ty!
it is where the name comes from, I see. Americanism from the bigger bird.
she was a happy girl
still is, I trust?
nope cos her daddy won't wake up and take her for a walk!
how about accidentally dropping a cold wet washing cloth on his face?
he'll get there. I just shut bouncing hobbit in with him
oh MonkeyG, the dutch word for cavia is valid, did you see?
that is nicer, but much more effective, Ata
Isn't cavia the Dutch word for Guinea Pig? Now I'm confused!
sprite hugs Princess great news !!!! you are in control yay
I might be confusing two brands of cage pets, lol. Do you know the very salty bread spread that is an M7/8 combo today? It sounds a little like that word.
marmottes?
OH! That'sa ground hog. Gotcha!
Almost Ata. PB looms...
lobo isn't it great?! Finally managed to communicate clearly enough to be heard in the correct way. Yay for me :)
Hi
close, Ata. Easy now :)
evening all :))
hey herin hugs
I have the m7/8 words
They are in teh same family as the cavia, of course.
well done sprite
hi lady, thanks for your email. Haven't answered yet, think I will be able to today.
hi there mrp
Hi Herin, Hi Mr. P!
hi mrP
make the word you posted into a 6 letter one, Ata
hi MRP
waves back. Sprite I just wanted to speak to yuo off line
mornin' all...
I have really enjoyed my day!! it has been movie day at our house... so have had fun with 'good luck chuck', 'transformers' & 'die hard 4.0'... very interesting mix!
thanks MonkeyG, I am a nitwit on the subject of cage animals. I refuse to have one in the house. Don't want any animal to live its life in a cage just because we think it is so cute.
hi Rolin & Infernal
oooh mrp...we had a movie day yesterday... a bit different genre tho..lol
hope mrp ate lots of popcorn
We had a rabbit when I was a kid that slept in his cage but ran about the house all day and used a litter box.
sounds great, mrP. I loved Die Hard 4, especially the shot of the helicopter and the car :D
morning rolin
Chewing was a problem though.
hi there rolin
that is great, MonkeyG. Well, not the chewing, but all the rest. Scrabbler's rabbits are free to roam too, I love that.
we did the world movie channel yesterday... that was amazing! kids were happy with the subtitles and all!!
we have this new super duper recording devise...so we've been catching up on all the films we missed in the inema..as theyve been coming on film4
hi hi hi all :)) thanks for the welcome!
Rolin - you should try and get "Romulus My Father" film/book...you would really really appreciate it
and mrP... isn't that man sexy? I can watch him for hours and never get tired of that mix of gentleness and irony.
Hello back. I am eating pizza
oh lynxx! we saw that the other night! very very good!
is that the one with colin firth and......someone..lol..lynxxx.
enjoy lady
sprite... which man in particular :)
I am
I hope you are all well
Its wonderful isn't it MRP. The kid is actually the husband of a friend of a friend (and the writer obviously)
THE Die Hard man !
bruce baby!!!
yeahhhhhh!
in austraila... bruce is a 'MAN' name!!
*sighs happily and decides to watch all 4 DH movies soon again*
I am also a Harrison Ford addict
Rolin...don't be put off but Eric Bana is the father (excellent). Richard Roxburgh director (his first)
oooh eric bana.... ok..ill look out for that
rolin! did you see my videos yesterday of eric bana??
omg so am I, mrP. And Sean Connery gets better with age every year.
i think eric bana is a good actor...... one of the films we wathced yesterday was 'brick lane'......
sean C is gorgeous!
it is good to have the vids again, mrP.
I have only David B and James M to perve on
no mrp..i still havent sorted out how to get to these famous visieos of yours
OK. Must bathe boy. Have fun all, I'll be back later!
sprite, I am insistant... did the eric bana video go up yet??
we could have a whole vid weekend together and never get bored, mrP :) :)
bye MonkeyG, cuddle monkeyman from me!
rolin, I will give you the youtube.com links if you like....
Will do! *poof*
yup..thx..
later monkey
I watched a vid from a sporter that had to apologise for bad behaviour with his lawyer next to him and prompting him, it was hilarious.
if you had a row of zimmer frames....wouldnt you have the pet name of 'zimmies'??
drop the z
of course, rolin. And someone with more pimples than I would be zittier.
thanks lyn
lyn, I am with you btw. Last 3rd is tough to spot.
exactly...i tell ya what sprite..why dont we rewrite enable... we could call it...'sprolinte'
Come to a stop again (48) - BBL
lmao..esp. if enable will allow the im6 lynxx just clued
bye for now, lyn
I don't know, rolin. I am getting used to enable and I must admit I love to hate it. It feels so good to outwit a dictionary every day ;)
bye Lyn
a good name would also be Reable
Sprite how is Caya's eye?
almost better, lady, thanks for asking. Not swollen or inflamed anymore, just a little lump on the lid left. As soon as that is gone, we will have 2 days more of eye drops and then it is done.
ouchies
yes it has been painful. But the worst was she was looking at it all day. Got very tired of keeping that eye open.
this is video from 'fast forward' of before eric bana was FAMOUS! http://linkbee.com/FDIQ
*click*
you must check out the other links on youtube for him in fast forward! funny aussie humour
Hi Mr pres
good old Fast Forward
hi infern... was on another window for abit... how is everyone??
Ok
nice, mrP :)
omg...i didnt realise eric bana was on 'fast forward'...lol
you have to look at all his stuff on fast forward! it is too funny some of it!!!
I will remember that :)
he started out as a comedy actor on aussie tv... was such an amazing success!
Yep/. He also did the movie Chopper
today's video is based on some Mad TV stuff I found... I am 'fond' of this video cause it is a really good take off of 'lady marmalade' from moulin rouge.
wow 2nd 8 found. I might find them all before the end yet.
so it is definitely worth finishing today, mrP! Thanks for the motivation. I seem to need it, am stuck.
but... my fav character in mad tv is lorraine.... she is very very wrong! you have to check her out on you tube
oh you will get through it sprite! you are the babble angel
not lately I haven't, mrP, lol. I have spoken my mind. Very devilish behaviour on babble!
Hugs Sprite
i must say though, alot of the words are weirdos
oh what has been said darling??
it is in my profile now, mrP. I am enjoying the chat tremendously today, you guys rock.
its like the good old day lets hope i havent spoken too soon
Sprite i just read profile and yah on the pension stuff. Boo that you have to have it
indeed, lobo, but let's enjoy it now :) Good company and great chat.
HI LORE. sorry i was so HUB before i didn't see you
lady, that is true, I'd rather not need it at all. But now that I do, it is great to finally get it.
surely will sprite
hugs herin love your new look
been coming and going herin connection problems
thanks
OH you borrowing my bad net
yep look like it going like the clappers before it goes down again
just read that sprite... but not really sure what is happening.... is asking for clues becoming a problem??
oh
of course not, mrP. Just the endless demanding of lists of 2 letter words for the last 40-odd words someone needs. Can't seem to play with chat open anymore without getting a 100 clues shoved down my throat lately. And when I dare say I really don't like it, I get the answer that "we cannot all be as smart as you, sprite". Which is rubbish.
irritating, lobo, that connection problem. Hope it will be solved soon. Do you know what is causing it?
sprite not sure had a quick look but time doesnt allow at the moment
I see, lobo, and I totally understand. Solving computer problems always takes a lot more time than one expects.
of course as you know we come here much later than usual to miss the clues and now the time is reduced
yup indeed, lobo. But the chat is worth it. I really like being here today.
its great today lets enjoy
well the good side is, mrP, that when lickety's clues are on, the problem is almost solved.
just want to share one thing with special babblers jilli made a very beautiful comment to me she said if she needed a carer she would love it to be me i have been chuffed all week
awwwww lobo, that is really special. And you deserve it. I truly hope jilli will never need one, but if she does, she will get one like you.
oh lobo that is sweet
shes such a darling lubs her lots
Good morning, how's the grid today?
ok
Oh I see sprite... that would be annoying indeed! It is also pedantic.
hi Merk, it is quite chewy. I have a lot of trouble getting through today.
isn't it, mrP! Btw, I have asked my webmaster to put up a link to lickety's si** but the man is ill and isn't working atm. So it will have to wait until he is well again.
that is sweet sprite!
I dont know if i deleted my coment
which reminds me I could try and resend the request, he might be opening his mail already.
which comment infern?
never mind
i was about to say im still here
well, i better say goodnight. have a nice babble chat and enjoy the grid :))
resent the request, mrP. Bye and have a good night.
Morning Babblers. I see my usual breakfast is in the grid today :-)
night pres. Hi Sally
hey Sally! The name of our dog-to-be is in the grid too.
Same word Sprite?
I don't think so, Sally. The name we picked is te5/10 meaning earth.
is your favo breakfast the rice?
or the M word?
Ah! Thanks for the unintentional clue. The word I meant was an (the?) ma 7/36.
Rice? Searches ...
lots of goodies in today's grid. But also lots of tough-to-find words. I am going slower than ever today.
hi all good mornin'
i am tired. I should have stayed home
hi LynnN, good morning
HI mama lyn
where are you now then, lady?
hi her
Where is the 9 today please?
I don't have it yet, Merk
At my friends places.
So that makes two of us. I do have an ar 8.
perhaps you can lie down for a bit, have a nap, lady?
sa 9
thanks PMS
ty
It will all be good after next weekend the store we shop at is opening locally. Himself is working on Saturdays so shopping has been on sundays. Which means no rest for him
I'm thru the sticky but fun 'a' words. That set of 'au' was a first for me.
good job Merk
yah merk
must be off for a while, back later. Thanks for the fun, all :)
hugs sprite
Golly, there are some odd words today.
And I am here all alone.
Sorry, Merk, no you aren't alone. I was on a roll just now. At least I find the words today can be built on each other.
Isn't that the truth. And there is a lot of Caribbean booze among them.
Don't think I've found the booze yet. But the mu words are lovely.
I am about to get to the mu. I am on the ma.
Oh I don't go in sequence - where the fancy takes me, at least at first.
Me, too, but I'm out of fancy. The words are just so unusual, but I'm lovin' it.
eisenhower's mrs in the pl pl
ma -- part of a month and annoying critter(s)
I saw that one. I'm stuck on the ma 7 and I assume ma 8 combo.
last one is a rodent
I got the combo ... another new one to me.
Merk, it's the French for a little pot - also a salty spread much loved in the UK.
Ah, I see.
Yes, I just finished the 'm' words and all of them were lovely. I'm over 2/3 finished now.
It's nice to have plurals again!
Yes, and I love the -ies
Where is everyone this morning?
Think it's just you and me ..
I'm briefly lurking over lunch..... Hi!
Just read your profile. What do you teach in China?
English ... TESOL
OK. Did a course in teaching that, but got fed up with the bureaucracy in this country. Must be interesting in China. Sure they really want to learn.
They are excellent students.
Fireworks!
Congrats Merk!
See - you can really concentrate without too much chat.
Yay Merk!
It was easy to concentrate with such fun words.
ty
Have a great day everyone. We're off to a Christmas cantata.
See you tomorrow perhaps.
Bye!
Bye for now.
morning everyone
Hi, but you're just missing me! Got to serve boy-lunch now.

I have a horrid headache not slept last night and i am out tonight. I some how think i will have the alarm of tomorrow am and sleep
sorry you both are not feeling well.
thanks cliff, I'll be fine just need a break I think :-) How are you?
I think i need to not do anything tomorrow
Unfortunately I have work. But on the bright side we are picking up the wedding album today so that should be fun
OH wonderful Katie.
I must depart night all
i'm having a great day katie, how can i not when there are kittens in the house?
bye herin
morning all. Do you have electricity cliff?
That is true cliff, they can brighten any day
yes i do eva - but several of my neighbors don't. we were quite fortunate.
vermont really lucked out. Snow, but no ice.
just gone into your profile and seen the larger photo, it's a good job you are in america otherwise we could end up with more cats in the house!!
I just saw about the ice storms on our news
my mom lives a mile from me and lost power for 2 days. luckily she had a wood stove that kept the house warm. and she could still cook because she has a gas stove.
I have a friend who is living in the midst of it in Western Massachusetts, hunkered down trying to keep the pipes from freezing using just wood heat. They aren't supposed to get power back for up to 6 days, and lost a lot of their trees.
10 years ago, during the last big ice storm in this area, we went without power for 7 days. the worst part was having to obtain large buckets of water in order to flush the toilets. i'm thankful i didn't have to go through that again.
and somehow during power failures someone always spills a can of peaches, so something terribly sticky, the very first day. I remember having to drive to a motel, 6 of us, check in for a couple of hours (the desk clerk looked at us a bit strangely) just so we could all take showers.
OMG I don't know how I could cope without power for that long
We're going to get rain tomorrow or the day after and I'm dreading it because on top of the snow it will just became an ice shell.
I think I would never leave the house!
well sometimes I don't leave for a day or two...or just clamp on cleats on my boots and walk down to the store for some company.
well, i had better stop babbling and go clean out litter boxes (and play with kittens!)
gotta go and give out pressies see you all later :-)
How many words today?
192 words
Thanks.
im 6/24 anyone?

hey scrabs, quick doc question, if you don't mind?
six mo words start with the same first four
Sure, Feather
hello all
help with 9 please
daniel's got another ear infection, was put on antibiotics last weekend. this weekend, he's been saying both his ears still hurt. last night he crawled into bed with me with a fever, but i'm suspecting a belly virus for that. not much i can do other than the normal fluids and rest, right?
six mu words start with the same first four
diahhrea last night, sore tummy, that's why i'm thinking virus of some sort. but i know the sinus/ear infection is still going on, headache, earache.
sa 9 --- 2/3 of holy and fish tank: aqu****
80% of middle ear infections go away with no antibiotic treatment at all, so antibiotics are only advised for kids with persistent pain despite Tylenol or ibuprofen AND with signs of an infection. Many kids camplain/cry but it is just pressure and plugging.
the nine is an sa, peri.. need a clue ? starts with beginning of tail bone and ends with what fish swim in
well, he had one a month ago now that was about to burst and he was screaming during hte night, so i think that's why he was put on them for it back then. then it recurred 4 weeks later (last week) so thus the repeat.
feather, his GI problems may be secondary to the AB treatment. He needs probiotics---yogurt or supplements.
have trouble with the end of the 9

mostly chickadees and juncos right now, but we do get the occasional cardinal
we are waiting for the tree swallows to arrive.. they come in humongous flocks and swoop down snapping up little white insects.. am going to try to capture the insects for id this year
Wow, jmc! Very cool. We occ get the black morphs here.
is it an albino, jm:
Been watching the black ones mover north from the zoo where they brought them in here
I thought albinos have to have pink eyes, not black
an awol has acked for asylum in germany
no idea
a person with congenital albinism: white hair and milky skin; eyes are usually pink
i love typing the er6/18 word. flows so smoothly with that left hand.
may be a pie bald.. partial albinism
I never knew there was such a thing. I stood and watch him for about 5 minutes I was so amazed
What is the er6, feather?
In Brevard NC there is a white squirrel festival. There is a colony of white squirrels there that are not albino.
was hiking once and saw a deer.. huge white splotches all over.. very strange
Good morning Babblers
Cool, chiley.
Thanks to information I found on the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources website, just because an animal is white (when it normally isn’t that color) doesn’t mean that it’s an albino. Conversely, an albino animal doesn’t have to be totally white, either.
you remove chalk with it scrabs
Oh, I already did that one, feather.
And it is fun to type, feather.

Yesterday I completed my Xmas shopping--and I did it all on-line! Click, click, click. Now I just await boxes by delivery and I avoid the madness of the mall.
do you need mouth to mouth scrabs?
hi une! welll next time i will put my glasses on before i begin. i hough the gird was 102, a nice sensile number. now i have 128 and feel cheated.

TO LOL!
I feel bad for you, Owl, but I am laughing too.
scrabs: what did you buy for mr. head?
i found a few years ago that online is the only way to shop at this time Scrabs--good for you!
what happened to those nice easy grids that didn't take all sodding day and never ended with you throwing something out of frustration? I miss them.
I bought Boss, Richard Head, a desk calendar of Medical Bloopers.

i am getting great stuf at mall. i have found that fri PM and sat ppm is the best time, i go at dinnertime. got a space right in front,
reparteena, it was wonderful--Amazon, Lego Shop, etc...I love it. I hate being around lots of people, esp rude ones at stores and malls.
and no sales tax and free shipping!
however, it's easy here compared to, say north jersey
Free shipping, but Amazon now taxes us.
Dachef, you're starting to sound like babble veterans 'in the good old days, every grid was easy and we laughed at the thought of needing help.'
i usually go with my cousin who is handicapped (walks slowly) its unbelievable how many people walk by her and she almost gets knocked over. !!
oh, i've been ordering on websites with no sales tax . . .
well haz - they weren't easy. i remember being in awe of those who completed - no list and no clues. clues were only given when someone was racing to finish
ah, we Babble veterans with our Babble war wounds . . . :-)
I look for those too, Une, but I get the bonus points via Amazon and the savings are worth the cost of tax.
ooh another great idea...:)
back in the olden days, when firefox wasn#t even invented ....
I know. You didn't really expect to finish so got less frustrated, perhaps.
I never laughed at the thought of needing help. In fact, when it comes to war wounds, I was usually the one hiding under the table and rocking bac and forth hoping someone would clean up the dribble.
the ideaof having done so many you knew the obscure ones was completely foreign to me. i thought all you brits were geniuses
I get a taste of the Babble Olden Days when Lickety has no clues for us. What a pain!
I remember when all this was fields.
I love Firefox and its extensions, add-ons, etc.
good morning!
You were right about that, TO. Geniuses all.
si5;12 please
haha, dachef
oh, but, scrabs, it's also kinda fun to share clues and discoveries, no?
lol!
Ah, but Scrabbler, we didn't know any better. We accepted our lot.
i remember when you had to know DOS commands to operate a computer...
oh, jeez, don't remind me, harp!!
Yes, Une, I love the teamwork of Babble--we are comrades in the word search.
Hi Jane.
and you had to walk 10 miles to the library to get to a computer
I remember when there weren't computers.
I'll go with the Brits are geniuses bit. It's true on the whole. Apart from the people who work on the trains.
LOL!!!!!!!!!!
And anyone who works for the post office.
Hahaha, hazel! yep, we did word puzzles with pencils! I still do, actually.
and people who work for the AA
We don't talk about the people who work on the trains. Have you forgotten, Dachef?
uphill both ways...
well i did think that at first. then i thought it had something to do with the fact that your time was ahead of ours.
and the NI Tesco ppl
oh yeah, sorry. I cant even bring myself to be polite to them anymore.
No, TO, geniuses was the right thought.
:)
Don't talk to me about Tesco. I'll come out in hives again.
Deep breaths, Hazel.
every little helps.
loool
well i got an early start but have done nothing...
That Ata knows how to get me riled.
except babble of course. pardon me
I was being sympathetic! Saying they were evil ppl!
in fact "every little helps" was stolen by tesco from me. It was a nickname from an old girlfriend. Not sure exactly what she meant, but she seemed to find it hilarious.
Poor Dachef. You're well rid.
Poor dachef.
see - sympathy vote works every time. ;)
the internet tells me there are pills for that dachef.
Anybody have i words from the 4th column, or the lone T?
I draw the line at clearing up dribble.
Blue ones, Dachef.
just discovered this morning that my Comcast On Demand is featuring a variety of roaring fires, wintry snow scenes, etc.--both with and without Xmas music!
not allowed to take the blue ones anymore.
i'd call and complain une
to5/10 comes from that - present tense verb variation of to4/4
lone t - 24 hours to Tulsa *sings*
wonderful, Une. I found a web site yesterday with various scenes and music, for relaxation
bonkler! bit of a grinch??
lol absolute grinchitude here.
aawwww
im6/27 and im7/40 come from that tile, Scrabbler.
nothing beat the old wpix yule log
I am lost with that T word. Tulsa song???
t - 24 hours in a day, 60 minutes in an hour, what ti?? is it? I don't know!
TY, Ata!
*breaks out in song* does anybody really know what t4 it is? does anybody care?
If I could save ti4 in a bottle...
peeps at least sing the backup for me?!
Hazel, TY for im clues--I had tried those words earlier with one M.
**does anybody really care**
i still need two more from that tile
We're too scared to sing loudly in case Vicuna hears and wants to join in.
You're welcome, Scrabbler.
WELL!
me too, Owl.
:D
chat has come back to life!! it was so quiet before i left
It's the British geniuses, Nono.
we're singing, nono
i like the harmony here
Hahaha, Hazel.
heck we'll have to enlarge the pb or britain will have no representation
now Haz I do believe there might be a few American geniuses as well :)
brits in the PB? never!
But we will throw you treats from the box!
their heads won't fit through the door
we like it in the pb - we have a party in there. And plot our evil plans to take over the world (again).
That's what I was thinking, Ata. We only pretend to make mistakes to keep the riff-raff company.
exactly
hell go for it. we could use osme lend lease here at the moment.
You want some economic help from dear Gordon and darling Alastair?
and the eyebrows of doom?
hy do we always have chancellors with eyebrows of doom?
lol
I must grab a snack--skiing will commence in a bit and I need to be fueled up.
I know. Denis Healey set the trend with the eyebrows.
scrabs you are amazing all that engery.
then Lamont
We need all of the help we can get, UKers. America is in deep trouble.
Would you believe that I discussed Denis Healey's eyebrows in my A-level French oral?
loooool
at least you don't have a smirker.
Owl, I am lazy a lot of the time too.
Il a des sourcils tres epais - I said.
does anyone here speak/read swedish?
c'est vrai!
I love the fct the the Chancellor is called Darling. Imagine the scope for the jokes in the cabinet meetings? Have you done the budget yet darling? Could you pass the sugar darling?
it's pure Blackadder in real life
I know! I bet he gets sick of the jokes.
O my God Darling, what have you done?
who had better eyebrows - Lamont or Healey?
'That's another fine mess, Darling'
No Swedish for me.
i will try to find a translator on line
Healey. He used curlers.
Pre-skiing snack = yogurt. Yummy.
I'm showing my age now cos I can't quite remember Denis Healey much *goes to look for pic*
love yogurt
bable fish is a good translator - watch the sentence structure though. I recently used it to translate a Danish book.
He has aged terribly now, Ata.
denis healey's are bigger, norman looks mad scientist eviller
I love using Babel Fish translator!
ty dachef, i want to translate a christmas card. i recognize something that begins with "jule", that's all
i found a swedish card for someone and don't want to send it untranslated - for my sake.
gosh, he has
He's lost huge amounts of weight as well.
back for a few more
I need 1 more T from the bottom row, 2nd column.
Dachef, why were you translating a Danish book?
hmmm. looking up Chancellors now. To my amazement Nigel Lawson actually is almost good looking in a craggy way nowadays
Go Feather go!
lol, "only" 169 left
I'm ghostwriting an NLP book on sales - the "author" is a Danish guy who has already writtena book on sales - just wanted some background on him.
gold implements? bird sound?
Pace yourself, Feather, for an evening of fireworks.
yep, a few here, a few there. catching babble in between kid stuff. they're eating lunches now.
I see. Will you be rich and famous and will you remember kindly your babble friends?
It was the bird sound, Owl--TY. Throw a fish at me!
Will I BE rich and famous? I AM rich and famous - have you forgotten?
sorry that was golf implements. and bird sound less final consonant
Bottom row is grey, 74 remain, and ti4 for a shower.
Sorry. I forgot. It's hard to keep track of everyone.
good morning everyone
bye s
self-delusion is a popular pasttime of mine. I try an indulge in it wheneer I can.
Good morning flosey.
bye Scrabs have a great day
bye nono
hmmm i messed up good - asked a thrift shop to come get my flip couch then realized i will have a bare room. old stuff is better than bare room when you have nothing to replace
hi flosey
bye scrabs
**bowing at Dachef's feet** Good day, My Lord.
oops, nono's not leaving...hi nono!
Self-delusion is good. I prefer it to real life any day, much less boring.
how is La Glitterata today?
Thankyou Scrabbler, now go and fetch my slippers. My feet are cold.
Nonsense, TO, you're just going for a temporarily minimalist look.
bye scrabs and bye anyone else leaving
Yes, My Lord, the bear fur or elk fur one, My Lord?
The glittery one is demolishing her tea. When you've not been fed for a week it's good to get your teeth into something.
i could prpbably fill hte room with "stuff". i've come to hate my stiuff as much as i love it
would you like some hot tea, My Lord?
Actually, all the work I'm doing at the moment is for the American/Canadian market, so I'm much more likely to be rich and famous there.
I hope it's just gruel
You're ripe for a visit from the 'Cash in the Attic' people.
ooh dachef, i can't await to come to the book signing
Alrighty, I must get ready for skiing. BBL.
Gruel with the occasional carrot for fibre.
bye scrabs.
unfortunately I'm only the ghostwriter. I do all the hard work and someone else takes all the credit.
just the odd carrot
haz: i have aasked in babble if anyone would be my agent on ebay. now i will look into the commercial firms who do that.
and sprouts when no-one else will eat them
That's life. That's how Jordan's ghostwriters must feel.
You might as well make some money, TO - hope it goes well.
dachef, then can't you come along as his hadnler?
hello :)
Liz! Your mutt is in the grid today :)
Jordan's ghostwriters should be shot - have you read her book? I doubt she has. Then again, they didn'y have a lot of good material to start with did they.
i am sure there are folks here who are avid resellers.
Hey! So he is Ata :)
does anyone have a clue for it6 please?
Have I read her book? Excuse me while I laugh hysterically.
but hes not valid :(
Haz! Hello
Hello Liz.
poor invalid pup!
I like yor snowmen Flo
Gosh, the relief. I thought you meant Oscar was an invalid (sick) rather than invalid (not valid).
dachef, would you like to have tony bourdain's gig? or are you not thrileed with eating exotica?
well oscar should be valid, if piranha is, then osar should be.
unless he's done something we don't know about and is invalid in both ways. always possible with that dog!!
Temple, I would love to answer that question, but I'm afraid it made absolutely no sense to me whatsoever.
No he's fighting fit today Haz
anthony bourdain has a tv show no rservations, where he travels the world and eats all sorts of stuff.
So is a hypochondriac an invalid invalid?
woohoo!
what;s he fighting? *suspicious*
absolutely!
Only one small incident today. We were in the valley in front of the house playing ball when the farmer suddenly showed up with 6 rams. The rams charged us and Oscar raan away!!!
ahhh - sorry, not seen it. Eating exotica not really my thing. I prefer pie and mash actually.
homey stuff, not restaurant sutff. but not stupid stuff like the guy who eats only bugs and brains and the like.
looool poor Os!
i mean what's the point of that, really?
I'm not in the restaurant business anymore - the het was too much so I got out of the kitchen.
Well you know Ata, those bad boy sheep might have nicked the ball! He had to run!
oh then is a name change in order?;)
yes, he had to! sheep are very scary! especially ball-stealing sheep
probably, if I could be a***d!!!
I know! I see ewe've come across them before too then?
i was about to say earlier i missed the chef icon
a cow once stole Hobbit's ball-on-a-rope!
Now thats something thats never happened to me!
Ata - was that line from the unedited Lord of the Rings?
it was soooo funny, and the look on Hobbit's face was priceless
LOL yep
lol Dac we could start our own fantasy series in here and Ata could illustrate it
Chapter 46: Bilbo and Frodo play ball in a field of cows
has Spangle ever had a ball stolen, Haz?
with disastrous consequences.....
Oh no! said Bilbo. That cow stole my precious!
No, I can't say that she has.
by a hobbit, a cow or otherwise
oh. hmm. spoilsport
She leads a very dull life by comparison with Hobbit.
My precious LOL
hello all, back to find more words
hi Peri
they all lead dull lives in comparison to Oscar!
Hello peri.
please did anyone ever clue the it word?
Oscar is of course named after the award he so richly deserves!
Oscar is the Evil Knievel of the canine world.
Liz - if I happened to persuade husband that we wanted to go to Sark for a few days, could we bring Hobbit? Are foreign dogs allowed? And how would we get her there - she's alright on small boats like over from Guernsey, no idea about the UK to Guernsey bit though!
I see him more as the Johnny Depp of the labrador world really - multi-talented and very good looking!
is Johnny prone to sailing off cliffs?
But a risk-taker. A definite risk taker.
Oooo Ata! Yes she would be welcome but as you say its quite a journey. On the Sark boat they sit with you but on the big boat from the UK they have to be crated.
ok not Johnny Depp then....
crated! ooo! how long does it take? you know what I bet it would be easier from here to nip over to Calais and drive down to the ferry connection in France
I'm not sure of the ins and outs but I can find out details easily enough. I have a Guernsey friend who takes her dogs to Crufts most years. She would know for sure.
if you could, at some point, no hassle, no rush etc etc I'd be grateful!
Maybe Hong Kong Phooey.....
No prob. I'll give her a call tomorrow
Crufts that won't be on TV :(
Oscar and Hobbit united!
watch out Sark!
No I heaqrd that this morning
God Ata we'd have a ball!
(Not one a sheep could nick)
Hong Kong Phooey :-)
I've wanted to go to Guernsey for ages - some of the Chalet School books are set in Guernsey and Lihou in particular and I've wanted to go and see for ages. And being able to see you in Sark is just a wonderful incentive!
and FM and I want to come and see you too, Haz
Ah! Thats why you asked me about Lihou once before! I read the Chalet School In Exile just the other day!!
Goodness!
yep :D
She's actually going to take time off work?
there's a "spin-off" series from Chalet books called "La Rochelle", those are all set in a house looking out over Lihou
I wish FM could come here too. She could robably use a break with friends more than any of us
LOL I'd have to kidnap her I think
*probably*
oh bum I have to go - have fun all. See you later...
Bye Liz (bet Oscar has jumped off a cliff again)
probably!
ok peeps i must ran also. happy babbling!
They should just have a constant patrol on the cliffs of Sark and be done with it.
Bye TO!
they should just tear the cliffs down
Or have nets at the bottom? Or trampolines?
trampolines!
oscar: run run run run wheeeeee *boing*!
'There's nothing like springtime in Sark'
There could be a new sport. Forget fly ball at Crufts, springing in Sark is the business.
hoooome home on the range, where the labs and spaniels go boing!
Where never is heard a discouraging snarl and the dogs go jumping all day.
looooool
I have to post that on Liz's facebook so she sees it
Oscar should really have a fan club, I think.
he really should
The mu words are fun. I predict confusion when it comes to clues....
did you see me earlier telling everyone about the first phantom word I came across, that was some of the M words plus a letter or two? I always do that
No! You never learn, do you? Still, it's not like it's going to spoil things too much.
it was such a good word though! mu***let
Just as well it's the mistake of a genius. (Flinching at the thought of a mullet in the grid)
ewwww
stringfellow strikes back
I know. And all those footballers.
That's one hairstyle that Beckham hasn't tried.
thank goodness
or peter andre
It's one fashion that should never see the light of day again.
ma5/22 pls
corn
ma5/22 - as grown in fields
hello everyone!
of course, ty, Haz
and Annie too
Im here for a short while...family coming for dinner but have to babble for a while
You're welcome. Hello Annie!
Hi Haz!
If you keep the lights off and hunker down, they'll maybe go away and leave you alone.
I tried that, Haz..it doesn't work, they wait
Good grief. Persistent, are they?
How about leaving a note at the door 'On a mercy mission. Come back in a couple of hours'
Yes, very! I keep trying to put in "itemize"
I have 8 mu's....very similar
Annie, dear, it won't even take item. You're on a hiding to nothing.
I know..*sigh*
There are 11 - all very similar.
but it takes anagrams of it
it6 - a scrambled gent's neckwear, a drink flavoured by sailors. Forget items!
I have 7...going to search
Thanks, Haz..items forgotten
Haz--that clue was so weird for me, but it worked! thanks!
Excellent!
I specialise in weird clues!
great clue, Haz! followed it to its conclusion
I'm glad it worked, mirrine and Annie.
actually clever clues
Hello ruru!
good morning ..OH great one!
I hate to leave but I have to feed them so I must start cooking, see you all later!
good luck Annie
See you later, Annie, enjoy the family!
Thanks!
missing one darn T and can't figure it out..
They're all normal words.
did you say 11 mu? or 10?
11
I know that.. and I know I am overlooking a fishy word ...errrr
humph
You want any help, ruru?
not yet haz.. maybe when I get the list it will help.. tyring to see how far I can go without lickety
No problem, I'll leave you be.
found it
Well done!
right in front of my nose
It happens.
I have really had trouble with the last couple of grids... I think I am losing it..lol
It's not just you, ruru, they haven't flowed very well.
They are sure testing although todays is a little easier (ish)!
FM! Had a nice lunch?
brb have to feed the doggies..
* yawn * morning all
and good afternoon! It was very pleasant much better than the anticipation :)
By the way I am getting a new puppy in the spring...
Good morning Pini.
Oh, nice, ruru! What sort?
what sort of puppy are you getting ruru?
Golden Retreiver
That's good, FM - good food and good company?
Hi Pini yay ruru!
how fun, ruru
nice
It will be a nephew to my boy Monty
hi FM!
Golden Retrievers are lovely. It can never hope to be as special as Spangle or Hobbit, I hope you realise?
of course not
ye sHaz and much laughter and chat, nice and relaxed. Aslo found out that the 3rd league I quoted on has accepted! Hi Ata :)
well.. I do understand that Spangle and Hobbit are other worldly dogs and that their place in this world shoud never be challenged..
though Oscar is a lab and he's a DoG too
Good for you, FM, a positive day all round.
Thank you ruru. Other babblers might protest, but you've always had the good sense to know when dogs are extra special. I'm sure your golden boy will be a pleasure.
ooo 2 elemental ce's
* whispering * Don't forget my little Koda!
I will put up a picture of his father..brb
Koda. Never to be forgotten.
how could we forget him! he's almost edibly gorgeous
I can see I am going to have to adopt am animal as an icon soon!
Ata finally lets it slip: She loves dogs... with salt and pepper.
There's going to be a contest for Pup of Glory. sprite v ruru.
you can borrow Mme Claws if you like
Viiii!
Ooooh, Vi!
edible? salt? pepper? * hiding precious pup *
Hello Vi!
Hello, all... for about five minutes!
That gives you plenty of time to tell us how you are and how your wonderful, perfect children are doing.
Hello quickyly then :)
Ah yes. Let's see... I am fine. My wonderful perfect children are wonderful and perfect...
Ant Firefox experts on this morning?
Last night they slept. This morning they woke and had breakfast...
Don't look at me, torgone - hello!
They breathed in, they breathed out, they breathed in again...
Nope torg not here
The darlings!
Hello, torgone!
Heyas guys ..
But the breathing - was it regular? And are you happy with their blinking pattern?
I use firefox, but don't think i'm an expert
Too modest, Pini. She's your expert, torgone.
Suddenly I'm getting random pop-up windows in Firefox ..
Son lost a tooth at lunch yesterday. At least he didn't swallow this one like he did the last two...
look at my new pic for a pic of a new cute pup - he's called Arthur and he's my godmother's new pup. He's too scrawny and his head looks too big and he's adorable!
At least swallowing teeth cuts out the need for expernsive tooth fairy visits.
do you have a pop-up blocker on, Tor?
Daughter is cheerful and NEVER SHUTS UP! lol
How much is the tooth fairy expected to cough up these days?
Arthur is lovely. He was called after King Arthur rather than Arthur Scargill, I hope?
Tooth fairy doesn't come to our house! She knows we have no truck with such nonsense!
Yes I have the pop-up blocker on .. It's whole new windows opening ..
At least £1 per tooth, FM. It's a rip-off.
Oh Ata is is so sweet!
yep :) he's half wirehaired JRT and half toy poodle of all things!
Man oh man, that's adorable, Ata!
Good heavens a £1 !
Vi, I have a daughter like that. You want some techniques for zoning out?
Smile and nod, smile and nod.
let me check my setings (I don't get pop-ups)...hold on, Tor
I'm sure you'll get updates on Arthur over the next few months, but now you've been introduced :)
Smile, nod and say 'really?'
But Haz, I don't WANT to know "really?"
or "that's nice,d ear"
Oh, you don't really listen, it's just a way of her thinking that you're interested.
Daughter: "So then the Star of Death went over him and shot him dead!" Mother: "That's nice, dear."
lol
I think "really" works better in that example, Vi
well you don't want to be *too* encouraging lol
how can a star shoot?
I do hope she isn't getting Star Wars's Death Star confused with Jesus's Star of Royal Beauty Bright!
Or 'Wow' - you're American, you can get away with saying'Wow' quite often.
lol. Wow!
or "oh cool"
You can say 'Wow' with different intonation as well just for variety.
Hi Lady
Hi FM :)
LadyNatts has kidnapped Pandora.
brb tea is needed
I have?
Tor, purused the settings; can't find anything to help fix the problem...
I find that "oh" is exceptionally versatile.
It looks like it, Lady, very like herin's cat.
Yes, oh has its place, you're right.
Shame on you LadyNatts. Get your own cat! ;)
There were a couple exceptions in the pop-up blocker .. I got rid of them ..let's see what happens ..
Oh, you mean our Cassie-cat?
let me know how it goes, Tor...
My home town is in the grid today
Yes, she mentioned that the other day when she saw my icon.
Maybe all white cats look the same?
Are you from Berkshire Fmitch?
lol ... "really?"
I am indeed ExWren :) and hello!
That's an old French proverb, Haz. "At night all cats look the same - especially all the white ones."
It's a theory. Far-fetched, I know.
Only they say it in French.
This one probably doesn't match many in the personality department. She's A.D.D.
Of course, you know what they say about the French.
sounds like herin
Oh talking of French - never knew the ma7 was a French word until today
That they eat frog-legs?
's cat
At night all frog legs look about the same, too.
Si un gendarme rit dans un gendarmerie, tous les gendarmes rient dans un gendarmerie.
Thought-provoking, isn't it?
ExWren I drove past Basingstoke last Sunday on the way to the New Forest
um ....
Well, that's my five minutes and then some. See you all later. Until then, don't eat too many puppies, Ata!
Bye Vi hugs :)
See you Vi. Really, oh wow! (Keep the zoning going)
I love driving through the New Forest, we ofterngo that way to Bill's family in Dorset
Haz .. here is a picture of the Dad
beautiful!
Very handsome!
Oh the noble head, he is so handsom ruru
I am so excited I can't believe it...
I love that photo, ruru! That's one GORGEOUS dog!
I am even okay with having my house chewed up with a puppy..lol
good job too!
yeah, furniture doesn't give you unconditional love with kisses!
so have you had your break from babble, or is this about to happen, ruru?
New Years ...
ahhh
Good question, Ata.
ruru is having a babble break??
Planning to travel some and it is a resolution I have since I have spent way too many hours on babble in the last few years.
in his profile!
but if you travel, will the pup be traveling with you?
*faints*
You'll be welcome back again anytime.
he will be born in the spring...
thank you haz.. I know that..
Caitlyn! Woman down!
FM ... you okay?
I... I came over all funny, sorry ;)
It's the shock.
You will be missed but travelling is a good excuse!
I have always wanted to go to New Zealand..planning to spend a month or so there.
only 90 words found... I think I need a break
NZ is wonderful
My daughter spent the summer there and loved it.
my co-worker just spent 3 weeks in NZ
See you later, LadyN.
# What do you call a bass vocalist who sings by himself?
she took lots of photos (they're on Flickr)
Don't know, BR.
# So-low
*groan*
Solo - very good!
So, a falsetto quintet would be a high five?
LOL!
for sure!
loool
I couldn't resist!
Very good Haz, and on that high note I will away to other things...
Happy Babbling and TTFN
Oh, One Man and His Dog is coming on - hope Oscar is watching for the right way to approach sheep...
Happy Sunday, Babblers!
Bye FM!
bye dear!
Hello Judi! I'm just about to head off as well - things to do, papers to read, clever dogs to point out to Spangle. See you later!

Pffth. Sugar and shaving. What kind of freaky fetish is that?
I think I have to come back to these a's later.. they are too frustrating

tor, I have a wicked stupid question, but I honestly don't know the answer - we bought this heater thing to float in the fish pond, so there will always be an open circle of unfrozen water. I put it in the pond, and plugged it into the outdoor outlet, which has one of those "reset" and "test" buttons on it, and a little light. When the light is shining, does that mean the outlet is working, or that it has tripped and I have to push the little button in?
last ma6?
moving over the Expert so that I can play and research new t5 at same t4
must have come with instructions
ma 6 -- part of a month and part of a year: **n*h
thx babble
That's a "Ground fault" outlet .. Push the test button - That will trip it .. Then push the reset button - the light should change .. I don't remember if the light means okay or tripped ..Does the heater cord have 3 prongs?
hey y'all - good luck with your words
yes, it does.
grounded
If the reset button does not pop back out when you push it then it's okay ..
the heater plugs into a loooong extension cord that runs from the pond to the house. the joint where the extension cord meets the heater cord is just sitting on the side of the pond, exposed to whatever, so every time it gets wet the switch will trip, right? that can't be good. What should I do? wrap it in plastic? electrical tape?
I am sorry for not knowing this stuff. I am learning as I go. I am sure the heater came with instructions, but the ex wasn't exactly forthcoming with the location of same and he screeched away from the hosue
(not that I know what I'm talking about, but if you want to protect the cord, could you use a piece of PVC pipe?)
Definitely .. Dry off the cord ends and wrap the junction with electrical tape .. at least two layers ..
The outlet is doing what it's supposed to do ..It trip when it detects a short to ground ..
everyone ready for Christmas if you celebrate the Holiday?
okay, will do. I wish i knew if the heater was supposed to be on all the time, or cycled on and off. seems like every time I check it it's cold, and I know it didn't work last night, as I had to hack it out of the frozen pond this morning. I figured the connection got wet and the cord tripped, so that's how this whole thing started. Frankly, I am quite proud of myself for figuring THAT much out!
hi all
hey autumn
if all else fails, call the manufacturer and ask away
hey nance - are you going through withdrawal... same as me?
must be a warranty too
autumn, are those YOUR wedding photos? spectacular!
albeit likely limited
withdrawal from?
You could try to google the manufacturer to see if there are instructions for the heater.
Yes you're right ..Good for you! The heater should have some sort of internal temp. control so it doesn't overheat .. Tape up the cord and everything should be okay ..
thanks for all the help. you all are a godsend! Gonna babble - want to get to at least halfway before I list - four words to go!
trif - not my wedding. but that is my granddaughter

hi Peri
just had Chanukah and Xmas all in one. One of my dear friends came over and brought me a blanket and quilt for my bed.
hey peri
My 'puter got infested with something ..
some of the geek sites are getting requests for help regarding random popups ... the techs are asking for like a hijack scan to be posted to see if there is malware
thinking I might need the list before I get down to 50
first, do check what you have as exceptions under the tools, option, content tab. if it all looks okay, uninstall fox, and then reinstall it.
She also gave me velvet evening bag and a velvet jacket and velvet shawl to go with the outfit I bought for my godson's wedding.
I just had to take mine in to get all the spy ware off

I think I'll do that right now Trif ..Back in a few ..
are there any oe words?
reinstalling does not assure the malware has been removed
Wow Peri - very nice
no Nan - but an oc4.5

I vent sometimes...uh oh
To send nasty or insulting messages via e-mail or to post them on a newsgroup. This is usually done in response to someone having broken the rules of netiquette. A "flamer" is someone who sends these messages.
well, everyone does, but not toxically on here
I'm running Ad-Aware now ..176 infections found so far ..
BR you left the Bahamas for North Dakota!!!
oh man, tor - you poor thing!

i don't buy tickets because we are not rich, and every dollar there is one I can't spend somewhere more needed

ummmm, food? :P :D
Oh, yes, Uni, but I am fine. Tomorrow AM I will feel the pain. But I am naturally high from skiing in the woods. It was a magnificent start to the skiing season.
hopefully, I won't have any more problems
omg! Ohhhh it is so cute. Only er.... 3,5 months more of waiting for us!
whatever you have in the house and is easy to make, Scrabbler
:)
Skiing season...pah! It was very cold here today, felt very wintry. Glad you are ok though!
Pancakes? eggs? pasta? pizza?
one of my comfort foods is a grilled cheese sammich, scrabs. what's yours?
indulge yourself tonite. your body has earned it the hard way :)
Chocolate--ice cream, pudding, brownies--I cannot keep it in the house--too dangerous.
I would vote for all the above
Ata... who is the lovely baby ?
all at once for me.
AAMOF, I think I may fix that for my dinner. TONS of fat, but oh, so yummy. and I'm mizzabul, taking 2 antibiotics orally + antifungal cream topically
my godmother's new pupster, Arthur :)
sorry.. hello everyone !
Yay, BR! Good decision. I think I will have the same as last night--homemade pizza with tomato and spinach on top.
darling puppy, ata
now i am hungry. later all.
hey, karys
LOL, skooj
Poor tyger--getting better yet?
Isn't he just the lovliest !!!!
almost as cute as Jack, Ata :P
a little, but the combo of 2 antibiotics gave me a tummyache nearly all night - has gotten worse of the last 2 days :(
hi Karys :) And bye. I have to go to bed, even though you people are a very lovely crowd that I'd love to stay and chat with.

night sprite
ma 6 -- part of a month and part of a year: **n*h
OK, off to make a pizza!
really, kazzer? I'll have to tell my godmother that she's got him for a while!
how old is he Ata ?
later, scrabs. enjoy!
See you all tomorrow!
11 weeks *think*
yes and he was a little bu**er - he could jump from the ground to my brotherinlaws shoulder in one leap
nite Scrab !
bye, scrabs!
wow!
he has the sweetest face, doesn't he ?
nite scabs
he does. he's an adorable little thing
the poodle crosses seem to be very popular lately
i will try and find a photo of him. we went to brotherinlaws (hubby brother) today and saw their new little friend - he is bengal kitten called marni and he is absolutely gorgeous
They are supposed to be quite intelligent too aren't they ?
let me put another pic of him upp quickly :)
ty for mammal clue - got it now
By the way.... are we all well and happy ?
there. check him out. with 1 very unimpressed cat!
Oh...he is tiny !!!
he is! he looked too big in the pic of just him!
Now... I could take him home and love him and pet him and ... and ... and ...
spoil him to death !
you'd have to get in line :P
I might have suspected as much !
but I will certainly keep everyone updated with pics as he grows!
I was wrong. he's 9 weeks. just been told!
My stepson in Aus. has a Spoodle... and she is really lovely, they seem to have the whole thing all wrapped up !
gosh, that must be bouncy!!
Ohh... such a little baby then !
No... not too much of anything... I was really impressed
yep, tiny little babe, godmother only got him last weekend!
They must be thrilled...Christmas will be for Arthur this year then ?
oh yes
Godmother perhaps not in the first flush of youth perhaps ?
sorry...too many perhapses there !!
nope, but she's had poodles all her life, and lost her last beloved cat monster in the summer, so she was ready for a new friend
My Mum always loved poodles too...
they are very intelligent, loving dogs
But she spoiled her's far too much
every dog owner's problem!
It's true... I don't like to admit it, but I think her dog 'Minty' would have had a better life really had she have been someone else's !
that;s a shame :(
I feel that too.... but my Mum was far too old too be 'changed'
That is why you must be tough like loriP and Haz and just not feed pets at all, lest they be spoiled.
:)
some people you can't tell - my husband's mother had a very fat corgi, after she died, Molly went to husband's sister, lost about a stone and a half inweight and is ow a new dog!
sezs the girl who feeds her cat everyday!!!
hmm ata if she spoils him he will turn into a real little monster - rambo was like that - ruled the roost and took no prisonners - all the cats ran for miles
clue please for ot/4 please
I hardly ever give her bread or cheese or ice cream now though..Just a bit of egg this morn
Well...they DO have to be fed... but not necessarily and chicken !!!
man's name, faith
she won't. she's very good with dogs :)
egg is good for the coat anyway
Thats nice Ata !!
hey guys. Back to finish up the A's hopefully!
Dogs are much easier to 'change' I find. My former stepmothers dog gets nearly smart when I am about, as I give her rules.
every few months I do roast a chicken up for Hobbit and Sily, but they get it mixed in with their normal food, along with whatever vegs are left over
* just chicken
ramob was soo cute though but he only really like cheapo dog food - the cheaper the better and he ate like a horse but was never fat
oops rambo
I love the way dogs react differently to different people
hi trid
oops -trif - bad fingers again!!!!
I was advised by the vet to use the cheapest food !
It indicates an intelligence I rarely credit them with. I talk bad abiout them, but put one near me and I melt.
urf. tired. bedtime. *waves to all* *hugs Uni and the KoG*
lol, it's okay - i knew who you meant, dear one. Tree is up, ornaments and lights on, house smells looooovely
nite, ata :-)
goodnight ata!
(you'd love Hobbit. you'll be in a ppuddle onthe ground!)
Ni night Ata
Nighty night Ata and co! Be well :)
Lovely icon Trif !
we were going to do tree tonight but only got back from bro in laws at 7 and too much to get ready for work - will be doing it this week - hubby bought be some new decs today
nite ata
Got our tree up, but not much else yet
New decorations..haven't had new ones since before I was born, I think
OOOH! I see someone lurking that I know! In case you are looking here for clues, hello!
I get to go home on the night of the 23rd, until then I am pretending Christmas isn't real, lol. Can't wait to see tree and lights
I get something for the treeevery time we go on holiday
Oh Uni... thats hard !
did you mean me Trif... ( coming out form lurking)
*from
nope. I mean someone who is named after her old cat....
we always buy a few new ones each year - we've only had a tree for the last 5 years - we were always away for christmas and the old house was too small for a tree. We have a tall thin one in the lounge and a smaller one in the hallway with a few xmas ornaments
AH!!!
I am going to keep her secret - but I do hope she sees me!
Just kinda hit me tonight, I don't like Christmas much, but I still miss the family, etc. Love to see the spirit in here though! :)
we played a great game at our neighbors xmas party
It is called "CAtch Phrase"
uni the kitty is beautiful
My daughter just moved out about 4 weeks ago.... she and her John just been out and bought their first tree !

that must pull at the heart strings a bit
I'm in third year of university now, but I usually am home by now, am waiting this year because of work. I only have a bach. pad with me, the BF a kitten and a hammy, no room for tree!

help for 1st ar5/10 please
nm help for 1st ar7 please
ar + french summer
you know, I really, truly do not understand why anyone would choose to run around wrapped up tightly in a sheet. I suppose there's a reason I've never been to a toga party prior to tonight.
First ar 7/32 word is french for cupboard wildcat17.
sorry, I don't have the ar7 yet.
ty
no it's the ar7/28 before that
lol red...not a good time I take it?
having the darnedest time putting the dang thing together. ugh. not my idea of a blast.
Do you have any safefy pins?
safety pins, that is?

Hi All, just got back from a laid back work day...

Congratulation JBV on your early fireworks. Hooray!
yes, feather?..... I call on you
lol, too many for me to choose from right now. i'll just sit here and desperately soak up random clues as they go by in the chog.
have plenty of pins and a sheet folded in half
thanks, dorens, hubby is home (finally!) slow recovery but we are seeing some progress, thanks for asking
Ho w is the nursing duties going JBV?
holy cow, grayed out the bottom row.
glad to hear that... good to see you here
after offering, I realize these are some of the darndest words to clue - the two es words look like two halfs of french snails to me - es *** got
and escarg**
ok, i'm going to try for NBT, then call it quits.
how about an M from the right most M?
red, we have a visiting nurse every day so that cuts my duties in half - she comes in the a.m., i'm on night duty
yes i can only find one of them feather
ty jbv
got one! plural of a name
That sounds much much better than the last I heard Dorens. I hope he likes her?
how about a clue for the lowest i?
red yo mean jbv, right?
and the upper right R, and then i'll be done for now.
oops, yes Dorens.
oh, and I'm no fun and fully clothed underneath the darn thing. =D
Red, try unfolding it, starting under one armpit--safety pin it the sheet and then wrap it completely around yourself and then drape it over one shoulder. I'd pin it there also. What size sheet are you working with?
feather i have one of each of those, but sorry.... i can't figure out where things come from with my head like this
that's ok dorens! thanks anyway.
oh, yes, red, the weekend nurse was not the regular, she starts tomorrow - she knows him from before, so I think it will be good
SOunds good.
working with a twin sheet, I think. I think I got a decent wrap going. we'll see. heh
feather ru + um, uh, ah...
red, I have a protocol question or a management question or something- need advice on whether to pursue a complaint - what do you think I should do about the nurse who discharged him from the hospital on thursday with a PICC line, and the fact that NO ONE (except me) noticed or reported a pressure wound - should I just forget it
ty nonnie!
p.s. we had to go back to the hospital today to have the PICC line removed
Sorry redturtle! Hit and how are you? I just now noticed we have reshoes and returtlehead here!
Hi Nonnie, and JBV I hope getting the PICC out was uneventuful!
yw feather
are there any ME words?
clue on the ar 7,28 ??
no feather
yes, uneventful except for getting him up and out of the house, in the car, etc. - he's not too steady on his feet, it's mostly me pushing and pulling
two reds for the price of one!
ok, ty. can anyone help with the lowest i? i just need one word from it and i'll have NBT and can call it quits.
you can just call me shoes, if it helps.
Ugh.
not on the 2 reds. on the pushing and pulling of hub.
throwing out some random clues - im 4/6 - Islamic cleric, im 5/16 - add an extra vowel before last consonant

yw
So, I don't try it anymore. LOL
I never even touched my toes! And I won races swimming
I used to touch my to4/4, still can! But you don't need to do that to swim. Trampolining touching to4.4 was fun.
arrgh sorry pb for me
min - ty for ma7&8, just found it!
a few years ago, I tried out for the Sheriff's office, they made me take my toe reach twice...
...apparently was the only person who could sit down and reach about 4-5" past my feet.
...not sure I could do it again now, though.
ma7 i thouht was a trademark.
crap the couch has eaten my phone
In high school we had to do standing reaches and I could put my whole palm past the ends of my feet, but then in college I grew 3 inches, all in the leg!
couches eat thins, it's what they do
dangerous sounding couch
Never eat money in this house

hello
hello all!
wow, hello to nobody
got fireworks! loved that video!!
Hi mrp!!!
how you going jilli!
YAY mrp -- didn't have time to finish. Are videos back regularly now?
about 15 minutes ago, chat log went down
they are now that I am insisting on them! LOL!!
any idea why, mrp?
I put one up about the Ladies from Mad TV comedy... i like it
oh good for you -- I know lots of ideas were sent in
sorry I missed it :(
i spoke to lickety about that... he said he has all the requests but hasn't had time to go through them and put them up... something happened to the puzzle when the page he was hosting from spat him out... (you remember when clues were not happening for a while?) It has made putting the videos up very difficult, so if he can, he puts one up but it is now alot of mucking around... used to be automated
the videos are quite a strong incentive to get through these gridw!
I can send you the link for the video if you like?
oh, that's too bad -- poor Lickety -- he shouldn't worry about it
sure, mrp -- that would be nice, but not essential
we are just thankful to him for everything he does
Hi there
clue for the 9 plz?
he has to have time to sit down and make it automated again... it is a long long process. He would get requests, put them on the program and as clues were generated, so was the next video on the line. That is not happening now.... but hope to get him interested in fixing the problem
sa5+ fish tank ending
