and hello to you jilli
and hi recent arrivals :)
lunch out is always a pleasure, and sometimes th food is even good
I trust all here have found the needlecase(s)?
ty jilli
yes jilli was pleased to find it without clues.

hadn't gotten to the e's yet, but thanks

could use some more coffee anyway and maybe somebody will make pancakes.....
course not, lol ;)
or even spell it wrong -- tough morning and it's only 9ish\1
no ruby, saved by a vowel
have some of these scotch eggs
<---
could use a scottish breakfast!
oh, I didn't see the icon. What are they coated with? It ooks like a wonderful idea.
click on it for the recipe
yes, will do, once I lose my oh-so-slow momentum.
tune
sorry again...
want those Scotch eggs!
*passes ruby a steaming mug of coffe* think you need a wake up brew :)
husband started arguing with me the minute I got up! very upsetting, even before my coffee
not a good way to start the day
jilli, saw a great cookery programme the other week you can do little mini scotch eggs using quails eggs or add seasoning into the sausage meat to make it curried - so many variations.
French cookery programs are all based on cheese! yuk
I'm an uncook, FM!
I googled this recipe and did see lots of variations.
love cheese but it doesn't love me anymore - get really strange dreams now when I have cheese so limit the intake :(
phantom nutrient
hi chrissie
Hi Chrissie
hi jilli and everyone
hi chrissie
FM, I also saw that you can buy ready-made mini scotch eggs in supermarkets over your way
yes you can but the supermarket brands taste orible and the good independants are so expensive
forgive me for dropping my h's :)
What are eggs and soldiers? I heard that statement in a movie and did not know what the soldiers are.
well, I've never made one or tasted one -- just remembered my friend's prizewinners at the fair every year
I just read the eggs recipe and it sounds wonderful; unfortunately you can't get sausage meat here, just icky diots (too much garlic, no sage) or veal sausages in Switz
soft-boiled eggs and toast cut in strips as dipper-inners
oh just found a wonderful dessert wine (I think) in the grid
not even uncooked Italian suasage like you can get in NY, even though we're close to Italy. Perhaps they're a NY-Italian invention
(that's eggs and soldiers)
oh how interesting - I thought it would be sausage links
I bought some new egg cups yesterday and want eggs and soldiers now
It's bedtime for me and I'm getting hungry for all this stuff
or soft boiled eggs and bread and butter cut into strips
buttered toast soldiers are yummy
Good morning/evening all. How strange, you're talking about food!
hello Haz
good morning haz.
sounds a bit like poached eggs on toast
tastes rather like that too, dal
but not as watery
I could go for that too, but wouldn't get to use new egg cups :)
Hello! We have another little skiff of snow here, and it's still coming down.
oh another fav dalmatian - haven't had those for years.
woke to about 3 inches here haz
I think I will stick with a good scrambled egg - thank you
Greetings HAz, it is raining down hard here.
Suitable salutations, FM!
mmm scrambled egg with bacon or smoked salmon
there's something about the ritual of dipping in to the yolk, and then eventually scraping out the white with a spoon...
and of course now I am feeling so hungry!
and a sausage or two, and maybe a few mushrooms
and not an egg in the house.
I had a great frittata the other day -- green onion, cut up grape tomatoes, grated zucchini, parsley -- delish
morning everyone
mouth is watering here jilli
I'm so glad they've decided eggs are not bad for us after all
I like a yellow squash baked with eggs and cheese and all the fresh herbs.
How about egg and bacon sarnies - hate the calories and all that but occasionally they are such a treat
hi katie
I'm going to bed before I dissolve into a puddle of drool!
Morning Katie
Good morning, Katie.
lol jilli Im drooling too, Sleep well.
oh, I forgot the cheese on top of the frittata
does anyone else have the snow?
3 inches or more katie
only at the Olympic site, Katie ;)
nope just lots of rain.
Yes, we do, Katie, not a lot so far but still.
I'm sure it wasn't forcast for last night, blooming met office!
Good night everyone -- happy babbling! And btw, the goose and the volcano are here as well as the needlecase. Nice to see old friends.
We were expecting it, husband talked about it a couple of days ago.
Aparently we are due to get some bad weather tomorrow and into the week.
(((jilli)))
And don't forget seabirds in all their varieties, jillibus. Sleep well!
we get it two or three days after you, but usually colder
I've had enough of it now. I don't care what happens tomorrow I am going to my meeting and in to work *stomps muttering back to the gird*
Of course, yes! and *poof*
sweet dreams jilli
gd night, jilli
got a hospital appointment don't want to miss in the morning :(
good heavens Fireworks just crept up on me!
Well done, FM!
congrats FM
wow, so fast!
congratulations FM
Thanks have been pecking away at it since the flip.
I think the nu6 and 7 are very English!
are you insulting us ruby? lol
Fav words today (apart from the lovely babblets) were the sa5/12 to cook in butter that then led to the sa8 dessert wine.
too much BBC tele, changing my language skills! lol
I actually got both of them
and the phantom punter, never heard of that before BBC crime programs!
what are the stats for the 9 please FM?
si9/60
ty
si 9/60
hi diz
oh I just got it yeahhhhhh
yay!
hey chrissie
and now it is sleeting - who mentioned snow? I blame them!
*hangs head in shame*

on*
LOL Katie never mind :)
Raises hand as well. We've got big feathery flakes now. Le sigh.
Taking a break for a while, TTFN an Happy Babbling.
Bye FM.
Bye FMx
bye FM, bye everybody, I had better go face the music!
Bye for now, ruby.
bye Ruby
bye katie and haz
tell him to get lost ruby
I already did and he got even more nasty! What to do.....
ruby, smack him the side of his head....omly joking
yay, fireworks unaided
I have the song "good vibrations" going round in my head with the si9 word replacing the title - help, it's driving me nuts!!
no lickety, morewords, or chat
wtg gremlinn
any clues needed?
not just yet, but thank you anyway
hit the wall with 68 to go, taking a break, happy babbling all :)
yay, fireworks aided (wish I could say otherwise) but that would be a fib
congrats ursh
I'm usually aided, congrats
but I hesitate to come in when I didn't get back home until 2 hours after the flip (don't like spoilers)
luckily don't always have clues flying round the chog
flip for me at 8am - so should have good fresh brain - does'nt seem to help
I guess it is mostly during the first hour
I dont find the stat calling helps me so dont watch for them
I've always said we need about three or four separate chat logs.
different chat rooms, you mean?
I like to get to half way without clues, then will go to a list for the second half but don't use more words (I don't even know what it is) everyone likes to play in their own way
Yes, one would be completely silent for the go it alone types, one would be for the spoonfeeders, one would be for normal chat, one for medical discussions, another for food, it could go on....
ah, www.morewords.com lets you type in partial words and it will tell you words that complete it
PHone
i find the chat log fun and interesting most of the time - so many things affect us all even on opposite sides of the world - pretty much same sh** different country
so true ursh
nearly half way off back to bed now!
HI
hello herin - you ok?
GOod. Watching Dr Who. The last David Tennant one. Got my Captian Jake fix
wow, good virations gave me the si9 thank you
hi lady
hello ursh
but of course, now it will be in my head all day! lol
can I get a clue for the si9 - the vibration clue isn't helping
si _french intimate you + end of vibr***** and plural
si +
no plural, sorry
it's what the "sit" in "sitcom" stands for (I think)
thanks - got it
yes, gremlin, that's better
i'm learning how to clue
finally reached half!
hi everyone
hi andree; it has been very quiet this AM
how are you?
fiune and yo
oops fine, and you
when it's quiet like this, I work harder at finding words and am doing OK so far, 141!
doing well then i have not even reached 1/2 way and we are about to get our evening coverage of todays olympics so will only have 1/2 an eye on babble
it is fun to see so many australians in the games. I read that they call is Whistralia!
lol
husband is angry at me for a change, so I'd better get moving. Enjoy the games!
morning babblers
bye ruby, he is angry with you everytime i see you on chat, that is a worry
hi sprite
hi Andree, how are you?
fine sprite, how are you, is your health any better
relatively ok today, am up and about and enjoying babble.
at least up and about is good
absolutely. And Spring is crawling closer, grin. Had some sun yesterday, and although it is freezing and misty again today, the trees are budding.
and for us autumn will be upon us soon, it will be nice to watch the leaves fall and have some cooler weather, its winter i hate, have no idea how i would cope if i lived in real cold
you'd manage, as you always do. But I am glad you are in warmer weather so you don't have to too often
Gretings all. Great icon spritey sprite.

they asked for it officially and they wouldn't do that if there had not been some message from the government beforehand that such a request would be honored. So all hell broke loose and now we will have re-elections in 3 months time...
gooood FM, you did it!
Hello, Andree.
;) Haz. Yes, lyn roxxx.
(needle case alert for Andree)
and volcano
good one, thanks
have it thx sprite
lynxxx are you watching the bobsleigh... ouch
lrd - is that what that thing is!
well, I am not very much into politics. But however much I detest Balkenende, I would take him over Wilders any day. So not looking forward to elections.
Haz, jsut to make us all drool, whats on the menu today?
Sorry, was answering the phone!
Springtime Sundays tend to be busy - calvings, lambings and cows who are intent on causing trouble and prolapsing....
we were drooling a few hours ago about breakfast stuff butnow it is geeting on for lunchtime ......
Anyway, lunch menu is, cream of celery soup, leg of lamb, potatoes, roast carrots and parsnips, runner beans, rhubarb pie and custard.
*drools*
oooh
yum yum
It'll keep us going until tea.
mmm rhubard pie! thanks for reminding me - I bought some a couple of days ago and haven't done anything with it. Maybe rhubarb cake
sounds good haz
I love a shoulder of lamb over a leg, it cooks well and the fat keeps it so tender and moist.
You don't do a full tea!
and cheaper too fmitch
yes that too Andree
I wonder if Haz would consider adopting an elderly daughter (with greyhound) - better cook than my husband
Something I am going to cook soon when I can find a decent butcher (and haven't cooked for years) is pigs trotters. Sooooo good when done well.
love roast lamb , the best part is the left over cold lamb sandwiches
lol lynxxx I would adopt you too
I'd adopt you any day, lynxxx.
Hi
Im stil waiting for Rumple to adopt me, what with the farm and the horses and her cooking I would die happy!
hi lady
Hello, herin.
hi Infernal
hi herin

HI Sprite
Hi everyone....
hi Flask
hello Flask
hi flask
Hi Flask. I was just looking at my birth sisters baby belly pics
Time for me to get the jet out and fly over to Haz's for lunch or in other words I must head to the kitchen for a while.
have fun there, FM
bye FM
Oh spritey sprite Haz Ata nd I are meeting up this Friday!
oh how lovely! Wish I could attend!
...in their bestest frocks!
Oh that'll be nice!
:D
Lovely FM
I hope you all have a fab time!
wish i could be there too, what fun
Hugs and poof
Where are you all meeting?
And back from the phone again.. we're meeting up at the hotel in London where husband and I are staying.
are you making a weekend of it Haz?
The trip is courtesy of a drug company who reward vets for using their products. It's our turn to take advantage of their generosity. So, accommodation in a 5 star hotel, tickets to a West End Show, tickets for the 5 nations rugby at Twickenham (Ireland v England).
Wow!
sounds wonderful
what show?
But the real treat is meeting up with Ata and FM!
It's either Les Miserables, or Wicked, or Billy Elliot.
We were given the choice, haven't heard back yet which one we've been allocated - I'm hoping for The Glums.
O Les Miserable. :( want'to see again
I'm looking forward to the whole weekend, as you can imagine!
hope its wicked, i just saw it and its really one of the best i have ever seen suprisingly
Sounds perfect - what a great weekend
I was interested in Wicked not in the cast. And I am a bit disapointed at the choice of lead for Mary Poppins
Oh am so jealous.....sounds like a wonderful w/end......I hope you have a ball......and your meeting is everything you wish for!
I am jealous Haz
I don't think we've any grounds for complaint, no matter what we're sent to. The last time we were treated by this company, we had a weekend in Vienna in February. I've never been so cold but it was wonderful.
The thing is, there is no way we would ever put together a weekend like that for ourselves, so it's nice to be treated.
Go for it girl.....and enjoy!!
I will!
No babbling, mind you.
it sounds wonderful haz
Well, I know what I would rather be doing......lol
Gee Haz that is terrible. No babble but being spoilt rotten what to do. :D
who needs babbling during such a weekend
I know, I doubt whether I'd have time to miss it.
I bet you won't. Hoping for a report of your wonderful trip, Haz.
do you 'do' rugby too Haz?
Husband was keen that I come along, so I'm going to the rugby, yes.
Is that top s just Sa and Si words please?
don't know yet, sorry lady. So far yes.
Ok thank you
got 13 of them, no sa so far
yes- sa and si only
Just trying to work out what I am missing be side sanity. Thank you Dip
hi Dipp
'lo all - just nipping in and out - lots to do!
Hello, Dippnall.
hi haz - what a fab trip - enjoy!
I will, Dippnall, it wasn't difficult to persuade us to go.
Idid get the 9 on my own I was a little bit proud of that one
haz im back again - have a lovely trip. i have just got my fireworks and now i need to go and do battle with itunes - its not downloading the music from Avatar - which it thinks i have already bought
Congrats Kazz!
All the best for the battle, Kazzer! And thanks for the good wishes - well done on fireworks.
yay kazz
hi Kazzer, Dippnall. sorry to have missed you coming in, but nature, in spite of being a phantom, called.
gratz kazz
Goodnight everyone, my early start today has caught up with me
Good night, lynxxx, sleep well!
night lyn, sleep well
any clues please for ANY of the in7/8 words please?
Flask, think in terms of people held in a particular type of captivity who don't move much.
one is tendency of mass to not budge from current direction and plural
one builds on living in, person living in
bye lynxxx
one is what several ropes do when knotted
that's all I have so far
oh dear......thanx anyway!
Flask, for the ones about people living in, build in in5/10 - to bury.
ok, thanx Haz!
For the ones about lack of movement, build in in5/10 - not moving, unresponsive.
You're welcome, hope that helps.
darn It thank you everyone. I didn't plural a word that would ahve answered my question. Fish me please
yw lady, and here's a guppy
Yah fishes
Okay, I'd better head back to the kitchen. Enjoy the grid and the rest of the day. Bye for now!
bye Haz
bye Haz...and thanx!
bye haz
Night all
night lady
bye haz
and off to bed for me , bye all and happy babbling
sleep well Andree
fireworks. Big but easy. Bye all.
bye sprite!
airnet . . . headgear worn by cockney cafeteria lady
rabot = rabid rabbit robot (all phantoms)
hey, fmitch :-)
Hi Une, not really here but hello none the less.
ditto :-)
switched to today's icon theme of eggs!
i had eggs for breakfast!
morning, red :-)
Hi all.
red, I know you enjoy Mother Nature . . . FYI one of my mom's caregivers saw a 7-point buck in my mom's backyard this week -- standing by the birdfeeder, just a few feet from the house! :-)
Wowweeee. nice.
i know!! too bad Derby barked and he ran away . . .
I never see deer here. Used to in NC a lot, but not here.
I see more now than ever -- often see groups of deer grazing next to the interstate
as well as in rural areas . . .
I like to see them, but I worry about the populations getting over grown.
don't think that's a problem here -- LOTS of deer hunters :-(
but I understand that it's important to keep the population below a certain level . . .
whoa 25 P words....
you can do it, red -- have 20 so far without list
So far I have 60 words, but I started right after I said Hi. Sprite says it was easy, so I am hoping to make fast progress....
have 16 words starting with Richard Nixon's wife's name!
amazing. I have not seen oodle in a while. I would have thought he would be making some expert commentary on Canada!
hello everyone
morning annie!
morning, Annie :-)
Hi red and Une
ahhh the hawaiiain goose is here.
and the volcano
ooh, tx, annie -- saw the goose but not the volcano!
TY annie, I neede the volcano!
Annie, how is your friend who i in rehab doing?
185 down, 52 to go -- off to the kitchen for coffee -- BBL :-)
good job Une!
red, she is still there..the orthopedist said it is a small break but a break nonetheless..
wtg, Une
she is acclimating herself to the place..I would go insane there
How is she doing? Improvement, is she up walking?
NO! That is what I do not understand. She lays in bed most of the day. Gets therapy on her GOOD leg once a day. Nothing is being done for the broken knee so far. They said it has to heal before they can start therapy. Just lays there.
Well, I think withthe knee it does have to heal before she puts weight on it. that would drive me crazy as well.
She is afraid to be home alone so I guess the best place for her, right now, is where she is. She would need help at home.
Well, as long as her spirits are staying up...
her spirits are improving..she was very down at the beginning. so things are looking up.
that is some good news.
speaking of deer, when I was in the Keys I saw key deer. They are a much smaller version of the deer that I am used to seeing and they just walk about freely in people's back yards. It was just beautiful to see.
So pretty.
clue for the 9 plz
dont have it, mm
sorry Movie, I do not have it yet.
si9/60

I kinda like fat balls :)

Sounds good. I would love to be at her table when she does.

hi welki
that's a wonderful thing to do, jm
yes TO, they do. actually I have never met a bad dobie that was not trained to be so or mistreated
we call them velcro dogs because they cling to your side.
A fun companion
which is why they are good protestors. i guess the trainers build on that
protesting dobies - LOLOL ; )
that is a funny image
phaeton - don't have the tr8 - would share if did have it :)
ok bojazz
*watching the dobies march by, waving signs that say, "Hell No! We Won't Go!"
they do protest a lot however. lol
hell no, we won't go (outside)!

hi ruby red
lol
hi ruby
meatloaf and potatoes for husband, beef heart risotto for dogs and yoghurt for me
hi jmd
we ate lunch out and I'm not hungry at all
i want the hubbys meal, with some asparagus.
and the sauce is a little bit spicy!
there's plenty, c'mon over!
oh how sweet
So that I don't sound too abstemious, there is homemade currant jelly for the yoghurt
abstemious?? good word - don't see that one everyday
blushing*
if it showed up in a grd, i'd never, ever, get it
*grid
aw bo, someone would come up with a good clue.
sometimes I find the big words jump out while the little ones remain elusive
maybe in alaphabet soup? :)
do they still make that?
i need some big words now.
no doubt about the clue - i'd just not be able to decipher it lol
big WORDS
today's BIG word is "vanities" - but i can't make it work! :)
today's phantom!
lol
along with "panties" - tried that several times too
I kept trying to "monkey" it earlier
thank you bo. i love when my thoughts are validated
bo, the singular of that one works!
I have to assume that abstemious is having to do with abstaining from large amounts of food..
got it
yes
hllo ru. Can I ask a dog question?
Good - Squeeze Bacon? for real??
and a kind of virtuous, obnoxious, self-denial!
yes red.. go ahead
teulu accidently dyed a small part of his nose with my hair dye....so he has a nice brown spot. how long until it goes away?
Bo i know nothing about it. just picked it yesterday to honor crossy
probably a week or so..
aahhh
you could send it to him good enough.. he'll use it as toothpaste
too cute! it's too bad you're not a punker and he could have purple or blue on his nose! and maybe an earring
Ok good, I am a bit embarassed, but, I figured if thats the worst I do as an owner...He is snoozing after running.
lol ruru
red you reminded me im supposed to touch up the color this morning. id better run!
bye good.
bye better than
dylan just discovered the "amazing toilet paper roll dispenser"
did you take photos of that???
no
Oh, but they would have been very fun to see...
I am sure he will go back for another 20-30 shots at it...
now that he's found it..
teulu likes kleenex, but never discovered toilet paper, thank goodness.
is tundra another phantom word?
like pantries is a phantom too
this is a great grid, though, even with its phantoms
I am enjoying it so far.
dinner now, see you later
i can't get "unrest" to work either
but the sa*** from the PB is in the grid today!
i found the 9 letter word!
congrats JenMo
can you clue it jen..
when you are in a predictament
131 left - break time
bbl
thank you
did you get it, ruru?
yes
i could have had a V-8!
duh!
yw!
brb..need some more coffee
how come donutier isnt a word? lol
because they removed the trans fats?
lol. 154 words left and i am struggling!
125 left & i've been struggling since the beginning - but not for long, yard work beckons and somehow...it ain't gonna get done unless...
i will make you feel beter tammy, i got 205 left!
good morning/afternoon/evening/night (choose one) Babble Buds!
hi ADHD
how's the grid today? I sleepily finished last nite at 12:30 and crashed on my pillow! Grandkids just left and I'm free to babble.
not too bad - lots of BIG words
or maybe loooong words
oh boy... i love big words
and long ones too
is Barb here today?
was here earlier
left to feed the horses, i think
how is she doing?
cold, i think
didn't mean that... if she reads back on this chat... Barb, you've been in my thoughts andprayers at this difficulttime
why isn't jetter a word?
sorry, didn't mean to be flip
oh, i didn't take it that way at all bojazz
agree - jetter makes sense
and panter... one who pants?
hi folks...I am stepping out to walk the dogs and then back in to knock down more of these buggers...
see ya later pav
panters works for me, too
but if you add a vowel to the non-conforming air traveler, it gives you je7
bye PAV
brb...
what does the 9 start with/
si
earlier someone clued it as needlecase - don't quite understand that
tx bojazz
today's icontheme?
think predictament for the 9 letter word, adhd
tx jen...i got it right away... it was an easy one
thanks for help with the 9 letter
yw
phan patent
your haven't tried "vanities" yet
gooood phantom word bo
attire is another... wow lots of phantoms in this grid. it's a good grid tho; I like it
or "panties" ??
is there a list?
i'm using lickety
my phantom : insertion
i use lickety's when it gets close to flip time or when i won't have time to finish
i used morewords once or twice when it was almost flip time
V's are vanquished - yard now screaming for work - bbl - hagd everyone
have fun jazzie.. see ya later?
will be back for more :)
doesn't accept internet either
i jusst tried and it say internet isn't in the dictionary, yet if you click on a ? box, you're sent to dictionary.com and internet is there
I can't figure out that last in 8/40
can help ya ruru... i've just started and only 82 words done; only 2 INs so far and they're short ones
there is an in8 that extends the in6 and in7
ruru in 8/40= in5/10 + neckt** (article of clothing)
rururocks - there's a good clue ealier in the chat log
which in6-7 I've got the doctor one, is that it?
you know what time fuzz?
thank you 60
sixty just gave it
ruru it builds off the 6/18 before it drop last letter
in8/40 the state(s) of (not) moving ..
but is it the doctor word? i'm not using the list
ok... forgone's clue did it for me. tx all
I have it 60 stang... thank you
ok, I'm back!
hi ruru!
hey pav... that was quick
yw
yep, I try to not let them linger in the wet grass for too long...
let what linger? i think i missed something earlier
that si9 builds from the si7 8 combo before
taking the dogs out for their walks...
hi babblers and hi PAV - I love your icon photo - just the thing for a cold wintry day, thoughts of spring!
Has anyone clued the last tr5?
tr 5/10 banal, common
Thanks jbv..was at wrong end of grid!

or did you mean the ut7, which was just clued
then add en+++ the Dragon, but drop the final R
then what..'cause it's not working for me
my clues useless. I can't spell.
bp for you here kitty
hang on jb ... tr + good night *r***, a Weaver's song .. then plural
what are you looking for jbp? im confused.
it's singing group of three...omit reference to french 3 'cuz the O is not next to a T
Welki rocks!
i gave the word...tr8?
but I did get the ut7 from your clue Mix...so not all is useless
then, tr + **ter (go in) + tito puen***

hi ruby
I like the way the words build in this grid
hi pav
ruby, i wasn't holding you to it, silly. don't spend valuable time on it ... you could be FISHING!
any help with the bottom O?
too cold to go outside
ty finally got it
'course that said, i'm sitting in an RV on a lake, but not fishing because i'm a wimp today (-20c)
i fished yesterday in -15c weather and that was cold enough for me
that's not wimp...that's sane.
kind of cereal, western movie and plural
i could of sworn i tried that b4
those are my bottom o's

but my monkeys got it
what you feed horses + hesitation and plural
thanks welki and foo
for nbt i need the right hand lowish E
plural seabird
that's far right 2nd row up
isn't the plural from the lower one?
not according to my grid. it's the bottom row, 2nd column
i want the one kittycorner to that
same one need jbp
well, let's get our monkeys working... ;-)
starting with en?
plural seaeagles er***
dunno if it's an en or er
no, the birds one is from the E above
my grid says there's 1 word for the E in the right hand column
plural is from below
The 5 letter plural is from the lower one ..
don't think it is torg
i want the one above the bottom corner A
I have en5/10 x 2, en6/18 plural of 5, other en6/18 and plural
me too
so i guess it's the en 5/10 that is not to go in
and i don't have the un-exit plural either
Golly, there are enough pa words today!
so en that is not the opp of exit is....?
ingress
lol
got it.
hahah
whew. ok, i need caffiene.
the far right E (last column) is the man's name or pl er
sounds like a nordic skiieuse!
thanks all. i'll be back... i'm exactly 1/2 way
can you believe the French commentators say skieuse and suissesse?

mine was like that yesterday, closed it and logged back in and it was fine
i changed not a thing... just refreshed to see if my icon would change
can i offer a clue or two before i head out?
i'll try that sea brb
still not getting the e in the last column
plural of sea birds er 4/4
(it's er 5/10, the one you're missing, i think)
yes?
i am not sure welki, i haven't listed, ummm i do have er5,10 though
i think that er 5/10, seabirds, is the only combo of the letters that will give you the needed word, but i could be wrong (i often am!)
how about en 6/18, the main course of dinner out
have it
there are four en 5/10s
oh i must be on crack
va 7/44 plz 2nd 1
lol that ok welki, i will work it out later, thanks
there are five e 5/10s altogether
v + A***** Em from the Wizard of Oz

hi! I am new at this game... is there a way to rotate the board?
teens
Nope .. What you see is what you get ..
thx
*sitting on hands* NOT playing today. NOT NOT NOT. ***Hugs everyone*** NOT PLAYING. *folds arms and sits on hands and ignores grid to the left...*
I have been highly unproductive for half an hour... *sigh* it's a beautiful day and I am studying. hope everyone else is having a lovely day?
hi lexophile. I have seen you on wordsplay. I want to rotate the board too! lol
I "live" to play boggle on wordsplay.com... I take it there are addicts on this site, too?
Heya stid
addicts? here? *looks around* not me! LOL
"hi tammy! nice to see a fellow bogglephile here
tammy and lex, welcome to the madness!
Nope .. No addicts here ..
I play as be my boggle buddy
Do you need any assistance for play before I leave again? *ignoring the grid to the left...*
You are always at the top of the board and I am not.. lol
tor, haven't seen you here in ages. you doing okay?
alright, you regulars... tell me about this game... how many hours do you spend on a puzzle... tammy and I get 3 minutes on wordsplay!
*sitting on hands* each puzzle is up for 24 hours, from midnight chicago time until the next midnight.
tammy, I have put many hours into that game! it's embarrassing to admit it...
I am in grad school, so most days I can only devote about 30 minutes to play. But some days a big, or difficult, grid can take me several hours to complete.
Me too... but sadly mine has not paid off as well as yours have
So... I often don't finish! LOL
I was in Detroit for a few days .. not much time to play ..
"when I first started, it was weboggle and I thought anyone who got to 100 MUST be cheating!
Many of us DO use Lickety's clues for help, there is a link at the bottom of this page for that. And others use some word lists.
Morning everyone
in the SNOW you were in detroit? *shakes head sadly* doesn't sound like much fun, tor
"I am not a great typist, so I'm glad that there aren't points taken off for mistakes
good morning everyone :)
*or afternoon as the case may be
"afternoon here!
A good site for hints on how to make this game easier is angelsongs, http://www.freewebs.com/angelsong/
My typing is worse then my spelling! but I have fun win or lose
Gremlinn has recently started playing here, another Weboggle star
hi C'nan
hey nan! ((hugs)) sunny up there too? it's gorgeous here. about to kick the boys outside to work in the garden for me.
hey lynxxx!

hi Stid
sunny in Vanouver, but our valley is still clouded over
hi nan and lynxx
maybe it'll burn off later for you nan.
good afternoon babble friends!
I saw gremlinn on recently. For those of you on here who haven't played wordsplay.. it's alot of fun!
not sure what you mean lex, our scores are "public knowledge" at the end of each day.
I've been watching as much as I can of the JO and can't stand the lame French athletes making excuses for not winning
Not really Lex - though there is a Rankings page - see above
you can check the archives, or the rankings to see how we do overall.
hi Ruby & MP
anyway, my time is up. sorry I missed you ruby. ((hugs and choclits)) see you all again soon! *poof*

hello soodle are your daffs up yet?
Ok... on wordsplay we chat about scores on rotten boards, so am just wondering about this particular board... I've been here for about 30 minutes and have only gotten 114 words...
Our massive snow is beginning to melt but a long way to go...45 degrees today...have seen a wee bit o'grass around town
They have just broken through the soil, and are being watched anxiously, Ruby

I've seen many bulbs pushing through the ground...hope it doesn't ruin our spring display...I added hundreds of daffs in the wooded part of our backyard and am anxious to see their first year display
I've seen many bulbs pushing through the ground...hope it doesn't ruin our spring display...I added hundreds of daffs in the wooded part of our backyard and am anxious to see their first year display
You can chat about pretty much anything .. Just remember it's a family site, and try not to type grid words in the chat ..

been back and forth between here and the olympics. If there is anyone out there that is not getting the event you want on local TV, try vancouver2010.com -- there are some live broadcasts there and live updates for everything else.
oh-you mean lack of?
ty, will remember that nan
I am watching CTV--far better and more live coverage than NBC. I am lucky to be close to Canada.
yes -- CTV and TSN have the best coverage, I think.
"Physics - The tendency of a body to resist acceleration; the tendency of a body at rest to remain at rest or of a body in straight line motion to stay in motion in a straight line unless acted on by an outside force."
As annihilated; Ds decimated; Es exterminated; Is in5/10ed
back later...
yes... potential motion
should've said related to nonmotion maybe... problem... it's in MY brain, and I must realize that people aren't mindreaders
it's frustrating for my husband sometimes... I know what I mean, but don't use enough words. and I profess to be a wordlover!
seatbelts come to mind with that word
oh please i'm reading this chat of mine... don't pay any attention to me... I forgot my meds today (the ADD one) lol
to all the tea lovers out there, ever heard of St. Dalfour tea, St. Dalfour, France. My niece gave me some organic spring mint green tea. never heard of this brand
No, Peri.
i have a cabinet designated for my teas. not heard of that one

brb
Guten Tag, Inge.
I think he was pushing too hard for a silver instead of being content with a bronze, scrabbler
anyone want clues before I leave (curling starts soon)
That's what the commentators just suggested too.
Hi, inge
I don't understand curling
I don't either, Peri, despite watching it.
Me, either!
It's a little like bocci on ice, peri -- you have the added complications of having to read ice speed and swings on top of everything else.
both skill and strategy are involved in the game. It is one of the reasons both Kevin and Cheryl are such great skips -- they are always thinking 2 or 3 moves ahead.
re6/21 pls
The object of the game is to wind up with the most rocks closest to the centre button after everyone has thrown their rocks.
re: adjust the strings on your guitar or violin again
*object is for your team of 4 to wind up with the most rocks
ty nan
Is there a lickety?
yes
does it matter where in the circle the rocks are? I know not great English ;)
yes Kap
the team with the rock or rocks closest to the centre at the end of each round (called an end) get's a point for each rock that is the closest. An opposing rock cuts out everything else.
ty, nan, it is a little clearer now
At 125/112 I have had enough of this grid. Bye all.
bye Scrabs
Bye, Scrabbler
The strategy of the game is to position your own rocks where the opposition can't get to them and to remove or rearrange the opposition rocks to some place in the rings where they will be useful to you.
bye scrabbs
what is the purpose of sweeping the ice, to make a better path to the center?
sweeping keeps the ice clean so your rock won't pick up any debris, also to keep a rock from curling too much or to take a rock that is too light further into the rings (called the house)
When the curler releases the rock he/she puts an inside or outside turn on it, which determines whether the rock will rotate clockwise or anticlockwise and also determines which way the rock will curl on it's path down the ice.
ty nan for the inform. re curling
Guess you can't tell I really enjoy the game, right?
:-)
off to watch the game :)
Technically, it melts the surface of the ice so that the rock slides better ... the faster the rock goes the less it curls ... so you're trying to adjust both the distance and the direction ..
bye nan
ty dose
why is it called curling?
Js jettisoned
Oooh I came in at a good time. I am sooo curious how people outside of Canada and GB get interested in Curling...
By spinning the rock you can make it swing by as much as six feet if you're really good i.e. Olympic or Briar (Canadian Men's Championship, calibre ... Thus ... curling
red, nan and dose have explained how a curling game works
Yes, I read back!
I appreciate it.
I do too, red
I just am so curious how we get curling olympians outside of Canada!
ty dose
Hi, red and doseffing
14 left, going to watch some curling :)
hwey all.
Oops, and I see curling is on, much more interesting to me than Hockey. Wonders if she could learn curling.
GO PER-I! GO PER-I! GO GO GO *shakes pom poms* YOU GO GIRL!
hey red
Hi all.
Jellen how are you?
Good, red...and you?
Been a bit under the weather, though...
I'm well, really feeling good now that the temp has increased...
Thought I was getting a UTI, now I have a chesty cough...
sounds yukky jellen.
a UTI or URI?
Yup, I agree!
What's a URI?
upper respiratory infection...
No, a UTI
URI urinary tract infection
jellen said chesty cough, that's why I asked
Tim says I share too much information...
but we're all babble buds! we're like family
Think I'm just falling apart...
Well, Jellen, I had a patient in his 30's the other day and his girlfriend informed me that his urine smelled different, leaving me to wonder....
oh MY
lol, red
Hi, LeslieAnn!
Now lets all chat a lot so that gets moved off the chat board...
oh boy
I think Jellen, you are way below the TMI mark!
Maybe he was eating asparagus...
Hello Leslie ann!!!
*sends tools to put Jellen back together*
hello, this is an interesting place to come in...
Yeah, come on, you guys. What, are you all nurses?
not to change this most interesting urinary topic, clue the na5/10?
Red is...
nurse here
Nurses have the grossest lunchtime talk
Hi Kaplan, we are chatting a lot so that gets moved off the board.
we do NOT!
I come from a long line of nurses; loved medicine since I was a kid; read my aunt's med journals.. my dad forbid the medical talk at the table
Oh, yeah- I have had lunch with nurses and have to tell them to stop talking about sputum
chatting chatting chatting. I never have time for lunch, so cant say nurses have lunch time conversations...
and all sorts of other things.
When I did hospital work many moons ago.
what kind of sputum? color? consistency? odor? not all sputum talk is gross.
na5= Mr. Hawthorne, pluralled
jk jk
i don't even know what that is but it sounds gross already
"So what color was Mr. Willis's sputum today?"
thanks Jellen! moving along, Jellen I hope you start to feel better.
I am, thanks, Red...
tx jellen. ow! that wet fish hurt!
Gotta go, planning a trip to Santa Fe...
I guess I'm not helping to move the conversation of the board, but I KNEW there were nurses here!
we're having fish for supper tonight... unless it's pulverized from all the slaps
how'd ya guess? lol
Oh I am so glad for the Canadian commentary earlier, the NBC guys who are commentating on the curling just said, "Well I think if the rock touches the green line its considered in" I mean....
haha
Again, it's that marvellous mealtime chatter
"and if it's in the middle, that's a touchdown"
I spelled marvellous with 2 l's as homage to Salinger
CYber nan and doseffing would have been better commentators
A touchdown! in "the house"
Ns nullified
go ADHD, you are plowing through the grid.
Os overturned!
I have the O's done...
I started it this morning, I'm just filling in the last hundred using the list.
the list makes it go really fast tho
I have 52 left, and do not want to list quite yet.
I knew I'd have to leave early today, so I'm resorting to it now. Usually I won't unless we're close to the flip.
I usually list withabout 30-40 -50 left.
I can not stay up for the flip!
in the warmer weather I can't, but I don't sleep well in winter
I find it a bit harder to sleep in the hot weather...
the list makes the game get over too quick for me. I enjoy the challenge
but your cold is colder than mine.
hola
what do you mean red?
buenas kje.
howdy KJE
como estas hoy KJE?
got any good clues for me kje??
muy bien
as always, i am clueless red
cold here is like 40 degrees ADHD you apparently liv ein the frozen north. so I dont know if I could sleep well in that winter or not.
Well, welcome to the grid anyway!
thanks
i have 22 left
it's in the 40s today. Pain keeps me awake
I'm in western CT (litchfield county)
Ps pulverized
luckily do not suffer from chronic pain, though I do have that pesky achilles.
I have 50 left. and sufferring greatly with all sorts of combos like avia which is not a word.
well, except that pita, red
oh no, I just looked for PITA in the grid!
silly
dinner bb in a minute.
I was going to be away this winter, but having major dental work done. I've got nasty RA with all it's complications
so babbling in the middle of the night is a great diversion
adhd- it isn't the middle of the night anywhere in america. where are you?
clue for the last re please? re6/21 after re6/18 (re + fork)
oh, not now lol.
it's 540pm
re6 - get music right again
Hi all - re6/21 re+melody

ok 19 left here..gotta go fix dinner for dh...and run to store be back later to finish...a fun grid...I like when I can finish the grid and have time to do home things....I am switching our office from our cold downstairs to a small warm bedroom upstairs...my dh smokes outside but is always downstairs in the family room and opening our sliding doors....brrr...but better than putting up with smoke!
KJE that was a perfect clue. and tx Dianne

Hi tea
Go kje go!
hi
back. Hi Tea. can I get a clue for the first sa pls? sa5/12 (and please don't slap me too hard if it's a fish word)
almost 2 feet of snow today
I'm jealous Tea
they are now showing footage of the Americans getting the gold medals back in the 80's
pirotecnia!!!!!
Tea tha tis awfuL!
yay, kje
sa5 - steam closet
from 60 degrees yesterday to a fdoot overnight and it has not stopped all day!
a foot
Tea, may I ask a tax question?
of course!
we) had that last month... record highs for almost a week (60), then down to the teens
tx KJE. I knew it was a fish word. welll slap me silly!
I sold y house this year, and I dont think I made a profit. How hard is it going to be to do the taxes on that mess this year?
easy peasy
if you had a loss, there is really nothing to report
if you had a gain, you report, but you get to exclude it, as long as you have not excluded a house sale gain in the recent past andyou lived in and owned the house for three of the last five years
SO I probably will be ok to just use turbo tax. the whole thing was so confusing. I got some escrow back but that was not a profit.
you should be okay
WOw tea, you know those rules! I am very impressed!
been doing taxes for almost 10 years now!
thank you!
I am afraid of an audit. But I think that I dont really make enough or raise any flags...usually.
are you busy yet? withthe tax doing that is.
a house sale is not going to trigger an audit. especially if you report it
what causes issues is that you don't report the sale when the bank does.
we have two distinct busy seasons. one is the last week of jan and the first of Feb because W2s are out and then the other is the last week of March through April 15.
I do not mind paying the taxes, I just dont want to talk about it later....
yep
we are slowing down a bit, but that means that we are cutting hours, so I am the only one there in the evenings until close when I am there, so I get all of the clients - not bad!
any clues needed before i go?
thats good Tea!
Congratulations KJE!!!!!!!
Well kje, I need 47 words... can you use a magic ball...
thanks, for the offer kje, have a great day!
I need 180
LOL... thanks red... about 6-7 minutes ago!

HI Shorty
hi ya herin how are you?
hello all
hi all
what earthquakes?
Ill. Hi TO and NR
earthquakes?
Somerset county, 2.6 mag
no wonder I didn't feel anything... LOL
definition for the 9?
a circumstance
the 9 is what the sit in sitcom means
bless you
tks
ty
nrk just finished a good book.
mmmmmm, made shepherd's pie tonight... and it's just waiting on the kitchen counter for me to go dig in...
what did you read TO?
what book?
niki lol eating that as we speak
eating an icy pole for breaky
hi all
icy pole?
hi joanne!
strange but true by john searles
Ice block ice cream
Hi jo
made a bunch yesterday and sent some up for mother in law
she's to sore to be cooking
just read synopsis TO, sounds good
I just finished Under the Dome by Stephen King... really really liked it
i enjoyed it. am on a reading binge. how four totally disparate books
i love Stephen King...The stand is all time fav
i only like the shawshank redemption
Joanne, if you liked the Stand you will ike Under the Dome... very similar
i shall have to get it
but in Under the Dome, they're stuck (under a dome) in a small town and all that good and evil has to duke it out right there
Thank you TO I have marked it as a to read
I love love love Stephen King ... not that I haven't had a disappointment or two... Thinner, for instance - blech!
at 6 pls ?
wow sounds really good
at + song, music
je7 any hints please
at and to carry a singing note
ty
I just recently finished watching Nightmares and dreamscapes. Great stories hideous filming
je7 = more like a fast plane
I'd love to see them make a movie of Lisey's Story
thank u
nrk what did you think of the movie the Stand??
Joanne, I thought it was pretty good... that was really the only way to do it justice -- make it a mini-series type thing
I thought it was well-cast too
Gary Sinise as Stu was great.
it was good but book was so much more graphic, like you just picture it all happening
I liked The Cell
i read it like 4 times
yes, I'm sure there was a lot they couldn't really do in the movie because it was made for TV
he is a vastly underrated actor
I think I've read the stand 3 or 4 times myself
I haven't read The Cell yet
It is really good. I liked it as he doesn't wafle on about crap
I hate the ending of the Cell!
nrk i found a lovely confection on my shopping trip monday. white choco dipped gingerbread boys
And no matter how many times I read The Stand, it scares the crap out of me every time
lol , i know
not a fan of white chocolate Owl... :)
though gingerbread and white chocolate does sound like a good combo
dixmak, I heard the ending really made people mad
this just adds a bit of sweet to the spicy
makes me curious, yet very uneasy, about reading it
i never got it, does he save his son or not? I personally need a concrete ending
most likely some vanilla coating
what is the stand about?
don't telllll!
ok, i won't finish this tonight sooo tc all and congrats to all
The Stand is about a flu epidemic that wipes out 90% of the population
it is a very enthralling book though, i would totally recommend it
hi welk
hi :)
and then after that, the remaining 10% have to figure out how to survive
byeee all
and they break out into two groups -- Good, in Boulder Colorado, and evil in Las Vegas (of course)
bye joanne!
Hi Welki.
is anyone clueing? if not, i can offer a few
wow the cell sounds very similar to the stand
funny how the challenged one they couldn't see coming tho
niteeeee
Joanne, indeed!
Night Jo.
night joanne
Dix I really don't like reading King as he waffles on
hey herin .. have you had any additional convos with your prof or the dean of studies about your big-mouthed classmate(s)?
Nope Welki. I am home on the couch today :(
herin, my brother says the same thing about King, but I don't feel that way... to each his own :)
ya but to me it's more graphic and descriptive so you really get the picture, but he does ramble on and on about pointless nonsense
i don't care for the subject matter.
I think with my brother, it's because he expects action, and King builds tension for a long time, so his books get scarier and scarier
subject matter is different from book to book, though, TO
you mean scary?
<-- would take john irving over stephen king on most days
Exactly thats what I love about King; building tension!
yes. ooh watcvhing the news and research says one can be scared to death
I love John Irving too
different story-types, but boy can they both ramble on and on :)
a few years ago, I got to see King, Irving and JK Rowling do a reading at Radio City Music Hall
I do like his writing but seriously in my mind I don't need to read ''went to the store got milk '' as I went to the car got in turned key drive 5miles on hour turned left then right and then got to the store. Opened the door went in went to teh fridge got milk went to counter bought milk
best line ever from a john irving novel: sorrow floats.
I like Joe R Lansdale and Poppy Z bright
ciderhouse rules?
King read from "the Body" (which became Stand by Me in the movies)... Irving read from A Prayer for Owen Meany (my favorite)
may be the best line ever. ever!
"keep passing open windows"
wowwwwww nrkii!!
Sorrow floats and keep passing open windows are the two my mom always quotes
But, I did not like Irving's last book...
sorrow floats is from hotel new hampshire
I liked reading the Regulators
I was really disappointed
can you place those wuotes?
which one, widow for one year? or the one about two hands?
keep passing open windows is from owen meany, right?
neither... he has a brand new one... Last Night in Twisted River
keep passing open windows is also from Hotel New Hampshire
ha! so it is! (just looked it up)
as soon as i fnish babble i am beginning "amkers" by cory doctorow
makers
I'm reading a biog of Amelia Earhart now
I am trying to alternate between fiction and non fiction lately
dunno why
please, can someone tell me when ice dancing is on?
just suddenly discovered a couple of years ago that I like some non fiction
non fiction reminds me too much of school. historical fiction is as close as i get .. that, and james michener
i love non fiction. asked library to order "the strong horse" on friday
the only way i could get through history was to correlate art and music with historic eras
in our house we have over 600 RPG books and then there is my collection of about 100 books
I can only handle non-fiction that reads like a story
i also have the book "jarhead" in this batch.
herin, who's into the rpgs?
Boyfriend manly A lot of them are rare as
check out this site. the artist is my son in law, he's done some artwork for d&d http://www.ryanbargerportfolio.com/id9 1.html
anywho, i guess i should get moving. been a long day and lots to get done before work tomorrow. later, folks

Night Nr
Hi all. 22 left here, so I guess I'd better dive back in.
hello jacs!
Hi TO. How are you doing?
i am fine jacs, and you? how are you>
V. well thanks.
HI Jac
Hi Herin. You okay?
i am doing a music review and i have found an artist i love
Who's that TO?
arrr I just channel surfed looking for the news. I found this gawd awful chat show that one of the girls is saying that Rick Springfields song Jessie's girl is actually him wanting Jessie not the girl. FFS. That got the flick in under 30sec
I am crappy. How you?
parkington sisters. folk
TO - don't know them. Sorry.
harmony as only siblings can do, if you know what i mean
Good Evening/morning/afternoon babblers.
Herin - sorry to hear that. I'm okay, thanks.
Hi red.
I will get better with the love of the couch
nice eggs Jacula.
Watching Olympic coverage. hoping they dont show hockey all night.
red - yes, they were quite a sight, so I'm told.
cnbc has hockey, nbc has speed skating. coverage sucks even with three channels
msnbc has curling
No hockey here swap you?
speed skating is fine with me. Hockey was most of the day...
I've just finished watching the film 'Rumor Has It' and then remembered I hadn't finished Babble.
http://www.parkingtonsisters.com/p.s/H ome.html for jacs and anyone else who likes acoustic /folk
TO - will take a look in a while. Thanks.
this is the first act i have reviewed that gets an unqualified 10 out of 10
no hockey for the moment. Jus tspeed skating which I like, and I guess more curling.
we have Luge
I am sure nbc is going to try to avoid showing much luge.
Is that because the USA faild?
plus they need to show Bodie Miller in his glory.
no I think because of the accident...
hey douglas are you on right now?
Ok
NBC has been showing a good coverage of events where Americans finish like 34th....so I dont think thats it.
Ok I know that here they don't show stuff if the Aussies suck
I did wonder about that but, they seem to be covering a lot of the skiing where Americans do suck, the cross country stuff. Scrabbler should have raced.
'Well the coverage we have is sporadic
Wow I jsut went to the list, things are now moving again. I feel so lazy though.
ours too. I keep wondering what I am missing. and then I realize that I am not sure I could tolerate to see ALL the ice dancers doing the compulsory dance to the same song....
back for the final 13

AT5/10 think of your heart
help with the PA 6, 21 right after the outdoor garden place.
thought Lady said "watching men's jockeys"
At5 is a Roman courtyard
is that an olympic sport ru?
pots and pa*+ more
for some people I guess
what was I thinking?
hi ru
did you plural the garden deck, red?
Pa double consonant and double vowel
a lot of these words end with the "more" ending
pa + cross letter + golf *** (ball "holder")
I need the one before that one Gramma.
LBD!!!!!!!!!!!!!
sorry I was cluing the other one
RU!!!!
didn't realize that not everyone knows at word for heart?
the one before that ADHD.
HI LB and anyone else I mised
plural the garden area, red
OMG it was the PLURAL!
SO sorry people.
hi herin!
P's are pummeled thanks for that help!
the one before that is a plural of the garden place
GO RED GO!!

don't know what it is about tp and puppies. they sure love the stuff.
oh.. now he runs for the bathroom to get it.
Nope just one here and then there is about 5 channels on cable
I should have called him Prince Charmin
we can watch curling and more curling and occassionally some other sport event that has been tape delayed. really sux
maybe you can teach him to flush
nah dylan is better.
there has beena lot of curling...
and I have to say it is nto an action packed sport.
it's interesting, but i'd like to see some other events as well.
watching curling is like watching paint dry
exactly.
bah my stupid net is playing up
tu7 anyone?
ru, i used to take the paper tubes and let my little guy bat it around, then he'd shred it to pieces.
*paints the side of the pb to watch*
tu7= fee for education
he LOVES those
what you pay for education, shirl
Earlier today though 2 canadians gave us some education on curling which was interesting.
thx for the tu, should have gotten that since I paid so much of it!
and if you use them as "derders" he'll really go nutso
Yes, I understand it much better...
jmc 'oil base paint? dries slower'
derders?
i'll have to go back and read the archives for the curling info
either or jm..lol
no, sorry smells too bad
put the tube to your lips and say der der really fast.
derders?
lol
lol
I know a little bit about curling -- what do you need to know?
play the paper tube like a kazoo
lbd you are not making any sense to me *scratches head*
it's a dog thing, jmc
do you use a curliing iron jilli or just rolls?
oo a tp tube kazoo!
meow
can someone here go to the store for me
it'll take me a while herin
*throws catnip mouse to jmc*
darn it
my neighbor's maine coon cat, loves derders. he'll carry one around until someone does the derder thing on it and then he attacks it!
i could go but i would never get back
purr purr purr
can I admit to not really loving the Maine Coon Cat?
went to the Toledo Zoo today 45 degrees.. big cats were out!
MCC's are unique. they are about the only domestic cat I like.
sure red
haha ruru -- I use something called curly sexy hair, so there
Ok I am missing something what do you mean by derder?
oooh, BIG cats! they make me sad to see them in zoos. i'm not against zoos, just sad that so many animals need zoos to exist.
herin, do you know what a kazoo is?
we have a part MCC - he fishes in his water all day... leaves puddles everywhere!
LB you would love the zoo we have here. IN Vic there is a free range zoo
Yes LB
that's definitely a trait of an MCC
well, a derder is a tp tube kazoo
lb - how about biting?
My sister has one and he will occasionally out of the blue, bite people. hence not a fan, though I am sure he is special.
Ok
LB - http://tinyurl.com/yem686s Werribee Zoo
MCC's like any other cat will bite. but the ones i've known weren't really biters
My kitty is not a MCC but she has a habit of chasing strangers around the house to hiss at them
herin, that looks kinda like the san diego wild animal park, as well as the san diego zoo. very environmentally designed for the animals.
I never really met any regular size biters...
This zoo is amazing. I want to feed the big kitties
MCC's can be very territorial, so it may bite thinking you are intruding on its territory
tr 6, 18 right after the 4,4??
has anyone seen my catnip mouse? I'm sure i had it a minute or so ago.
I has the mouse :P
prefix for 3 + b***dryl makes me sleepy
*hides the mouse*
what mouse?
tr + personal pronoun + east northeast abbrev.
*hmmm MCC is asking for it while growling"
the one prior to that one please.
*shoves the mouse behind herin*
dont blame me
*looks behind herin*
what mouse?
That's the first tr 6/18...
*grabs mouse and runs away*
its ok - MCC has taken my mouse and left me with this stinkin pad thing on my laptop to use*
likety is listing a 6, 18 and a 7, 28 prior to that one.
Ahhh got it!
5 left.
thxks jellen
Go, red!
MCC is very smart! knows how to get what s/he wants no matter the difficulties! (otherwise, watch out!)
TY...

why are there blue lines on the ski slopes? i don't remember them before
*wipes stiddies keys with hankie*
ich!
watching US Canada hockey. (GO CANADA!)
Hi, stid!
Distance?
the blue lines I think help add contrast so the skiers can see where they are?
you can type with your nose? wow! talented! what else can you do?
Think you're correct, stid...
that's what I thought, but hubs and I were discussing it and wondering why this year?
that was my thought too
i love watching the speed skaters... they're so fluid
Mystery of the blue line here : http://tinyurl.com/yj3m3z3

thanks ADHD!
NO. US just scored again. I am NOT happy with our Canadian goalie, he keeps leaving the box
sry typos and not using commas
USA USA USA USA
:( No ice hockey on here. I am irritated
yw luv
next?
I vote we fire the Candian goalie
YAH I found the hockey
okay 68 left , what happened while i was typing? blue lines? sound like hockey
hey Lady B
can you watch the game online?
3rd te 7/28 please?
i was leaning towards the weekend of the 21st
well defense also necessary so not all the goalie's fault
well all I can say is, if the goalie keeps doing what he is doing, then USA deserves to win this one.
blue lines on the ski slope. don't remember them in other yrs. think they're as guides
my nevvie is a goalie is what he says
21st would likely be best for me, jmc.
sea eagle + crying herb ending
Shall I pencil you in?
the outside ones are guides
*wondering how I can hold the pencil in my nose to write...*
te7/28 sea bird + charged particle
thanks lbd!
the perpendicular ones help show the depth of the slope
what a gross image that is stiddie
sure pencil me in
oh! LBD!!!!! (((((hugs))))) when did you wander in? are you getting the same lovely weather we are? It was gorgeous today! and tomorrow will be tyhe same, but Tuesday is looking wet again.
last one - va 7/44 please?
rofl ADHD!
I would love to find someway to get lbd from MT
exactly what I was thinking JMC, but they've never been there before
eeewwwww, stid
could pini drive up byherself and I could go to MT instead and grab lbd?
yes, the weather has be divine! love seeing the sun and blue skies
hm. stidkid #2 agrees with you ladies on the imagery...
you say it stid, I see it... such visual imagery is wonderful at times, but this?
true ADHD but they are always looking for ways to make these things safer
what sun and sky? it is terrible here in MO :0)
i agree JMC.
dobie, I am watching the hockey game, others are watching skiing. the blue lines are on the mountain...
hi Jen
hi ibd
stick the pencil up your nose stiddie
that should work
do you see my icon, LBD? it's from right outside my living room window. driving home this afternoon I noticed some bigger daffys just down the driveway.
LOL jmc!
(eraser in the nose not the point)
stiddie did you see my brave little crocus?
LOL, i love coming into a strange converstation
now the men in striped shirts are pulling the players apart...
i love daffies. none yet here. but the trees are starting to show buds
today a yellow one came out too
it's a darling wee brae bloom, isn't it, jmc?
I need a friend to visit me and feed me
Jen, you calling us strange???
it is
*offers lady a choclit and a cookie* does that count as food?
herin, where's the bf?
Jen I resemble that remark
lol... i thought you were talking about ducks until I opened it
two more minutes to chat with you, my friends, then back to the yucky paper.
LB he is working.
i got the 9 letter word this morning!, no, you aren't strange, you just live in better climates right now!
i am so sorry herin i will have to save visiting you for next year or so
Hello. I'm back. I'm afraid I've beaten Peri at Scramble on FB again.
gotta go for now. might bbl
*pulls on foil hat* what is strange?
later, DO
Who's that strange woman in the foil hat?
byr lb
bye all
I see the tears streaming down your face jac
:-P
bye Do Do! see you another day. ((hugs))
byr?
jmc - yes, I am so sad about it. :-P
LOL hey jac! looking in the mirror again are you?? *ducks*
finish that grid and do me proud!!
oh! look at that! my time is up! *runs quickly, dodging Jac's daggers from the eyes...
byr???
nothing is strange!!!!!, you guys were talking about the "good" weather you having and it is terrible here in Missouri!
Everyone I know is at work or interstate or sans car
see you-all later! *poof*
*lobs foil dispenser at stid*
bummer, herin
hey how can I make foil hats!
i'm confused... *presses refresh button*
later, stiddy
Drat! Missed! She 'poofed' just before it hit.
so sorry herin
You are aware that tin foil does nothing other than enhance the signals.
JM himself is getting me bread when he returns tonight later later
does not! it blocks unfriendly signals!
guess everyone has the 9-letter word
*sulks in corner and puts on second foil hat for added protection*
not me jen
No it really doesn't
Herin - I thought that was why jmc had an aerial atop her foil hat.
give jmc a clue for the si9, Jen.
that puts you in a very sad Si9 guys
right
si9/60 normal all fouled up ..
you're mean and wrong jac *pulls on third foil hat with feathers*
What a dreadful si9! We all have the 9-letter word and jmc does not. *grins*
SNAFU!
well heck, it's a lovely fashion statement if nothing else, jmc.
it goes with all the other si words jmc
sweet of you to clean up the clue torg
*wonders if jmc is going to try a sheep fleeced lined foil hat next. She's going to end up with an awfully big head if she keeps putting all those hats on.*
omg what the heck has some of these Hollywood women doing to their faces.
what a strange si******* to be in jmc!
you get it jmc?
yeap ty ty all!
Hi jmc. Are you making another fashion statement?
yeah!
hi wht
three foil hats with the top one with feathers!
you like? *models*
you're a fashion maven, jmc
Sorry but yes.
Quite fetching
jmc - I've got a better idea. Close your eyes tightly and put your hands over them and then we 'won't' be able to see you.:-P
Fireworks! My last word, quite appropriately the last nu7/32 :-P
but then i can't see the grid either
Well done Jellen.
whoo hooo jell
yeh jell
LOL, re the last word.
Hmm - jmc. You mean you have't memorised the grid yet?
wtg Jelli
what you saying jell!?!?!?!

Reflecting upon myself, jmc, truly!

Hi, dan

Hello dan. I'm not watching the Winter Olympics but I think everyone else is.
hi dan2

i got hooked by the comments about the blue lines
whooooo hooooooo JELLEN!!

G'night, jmb
bye jmb
Hi, welki
nite all. *pfft*
hi welki!
Good evening to my fellow babblers! How is everyone?
Neither of my cats showed any interest in catnip.
By the way, congratulations to all the finishers! YAY!
Night jmbd.
Hi Min.
welki, you missed jmc modeling her layered foil cap ensemble.
Hi, Min
hi min
Hello Minveryork! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid!
Hi Min! welcome to the grid, how are you this evening?
hi welki
Hi torg. Didn't see you there.
when you say, 'layered,' do you mean regular foil layered with heavy duty aluminum foil?
sigh my MIL fell and broke her hip so now I need to visit her like I was visiting my mother to make sure the NH staff take care of her
Quietly multi-slacking ..
O JM that is not good
you probably can't tell but I have three foil caps on with the last one with feathers
ohhh jmc *big sigh*
multi-slacking is a perfect term!
jmc - oh dear! I hope your MIL will be okay. How old is she?
maybe you should take one off, jm...the lights are flickering
they gave her a new hip so she has physical therapy coming up
Jellen - I agree! It's a term I will use often from this moment on.
oh dear, jmc. i hope all will go well for her.
oops sorry welki *takes first hat off* how's that?
So sorry jmc, that's rough for her and you!
I am sure she will be okay but it has been hard on her family who are spread around
multi-slacking sounds like my sunday evenings
jmc - try making holes in the remaining two foil hats for your ears to stick through. Also, make a slit at the front for bringing a fringe of hair through.
oh good suggestion on the fringe -- i cut it to look like sarah palin for halloween!
:-D
any one want to clue some un words?
gawd, that should scare the heebee jeebees out of everyone, jmc!
You might then look funnier than I did with a supermarket carrier bag tied around my head by my daughter when she'd dyed my hair and was keeping it warm while it 'took'.
un + two vowels
un + perform
as long as it didn't cover your face!
ty, lbd. hi, i'm back
A lot have to do with not being a divider.
That's un 4/6
un + he, she or **, third person singular
un4.6 - you might un4.6 your shoe laces. You might also un5.12 them.
glad for your return, DC
wb dc
Hi, dc!
Women should not drink more than 3 un4/5s of alcohol per day (according to UK guidelines).
Hi DC.
USA just scored. 4-2 over Canada in the third.
saw that wht!
hmm how much should a man drink
i am watching the skating now
ANy ut clues needed? First two have to do with female reproductive organ.
sigh i got sucked in
jmc - can't remember the male figures.
sure jac hit me with a clue!
i have the speaking ut words
The last two have to do with speaking
and hello everyone
hi sea
paneer as a word - a type of Indian cheese
Hi Sea
Hi SeaSpray! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
the women throw the men around a lot more than they used to
lol jmc
hi, sea
Ah, just checked. It's 4 un4.5s for men.
sign of the times
Hi, sea and wht...I'm multi-slacking
ty for that info jac!
i believe there is a country music song in the word multi-slacking
Muscat Killing? Is that a song?
I like the concept of multi-slacking.
Muscat love. But no more than 4 un5s
Could be jmc...I'll email it to my friend who writes country music...
Magic Kills Nut?
musrat love is a song
Mug Ill Catkins?
muskrat love
Muskrat Love. Lol.
i would marry you but i am too busy multi-slacking
Kill Mastic Gunk.
i swear they were just skating to pistol packing mama
Gnus Lack Limit
in italian
It's endless, the anagrams you can get. I will stop looking now.
Una notte en Napoli, con la luna e il mare, e contato a un angelo, qui non piu volar
omg they are doing the offensive costumes again
JM where?
'offensive' costumes? Are they dressed for battle?
on the skating they russians wore "aboriginal" costume in Australia
You can watch the hockey. No offensive costumes there.
I thought they binned that?
don't like hockey but thank you wht
they toned it down apparently
at least they got rid of the face paint and the "dark skin" suit
We only have hockey here
*sits on hands so she doesn't ask when dressing up as someone from another culture became offensive*
*sits on hands so she doesn't say that the PC nu7/32 see offence where none is taken and none intended*
the complaint was that it wasn't authentic but it was more a caricature
That's why Jac's the Queen of PC.
*makes jac a foil crown*
Canada scored
wtg canada! just don't beat the U.S.
That's what I get for switching to watch the dancing.
*sits on hands so she doesn't say the caricatures are not meant to be taken seriously but are done in fun. And that she's talked to enough people from other cultures to know that it's only the PC nu7/32 who 'decide' offence is or might be felt.*
US is still up 4-3 with 2:34 left.
They finished with a nose rub.
pantry
you know some are funny and some are not jac
lol sorry
no Y
yes I know lol
jmc - of course I know that. Just like I know that, depending on how I feel at the time, I may or may not take offence at something.
and the day you sit on your hands has yet to come jac! lol
*tickles jac nose with a feather*
jmc - but I have been sitting on my hands! I've got 'pins & needles' in them now! *rubs hands*
*run away*
AAAAATCHOO!
missed me!
:-P
Who stuck that bloody feather under by dose?
*giggle*
this game is nerve wracking
Wow! ..What a game ..
woo hoo!
USA just scored into an empty net.
holy cow!
oh my was that the US that scored?
Phantom words for me today are entries and vanities
yes
5-3 now. 44 seconds left
I see Dan's worshipping me again.:-)
MOOOOOOOOOO
what? dan would never call you a cow!
We all worship you, Jacs ..
hink
*hands jac a bicarb*
now they have the hockey game on both stations
jmc - all of my mugs are mooey mugs, my socks are daft cow etc. I'm Big Moo and my daughter is Little Moo. TMI! *ducks out of sight*
USA wins.
phewww! game over
lol jac
whooo hooo US
Even the tape replay channel knew a good game when it came up.
We LOVE cows. I also love roast beef, but my daughter's a fish and egg eating veggie.
A's Abolished! 7 left
Keep going Min!
okay does this mean that US will get a medal?
No this just the preliminary round
Looks like gold or silver, if I understood correctly
oh okay still a couple of games to go then
Guess I didn't understand :-)
I think both USA and Canada are through to the medal rounds
Amy Williams, first individual gold medal for UK in 30 years, skeleton bob.
At least I understand hockey. More than I can say about curling.
I don't watch, but I do get reports given to me.
I always used to play Left Back for the winning side in hockey at school. It meant I didn't have to run about too often.
it just said that canada will go forward
My usual position was Left Out.
Didn't matter what sport
I still have no idea how I ended up on the hockey team. That's field hockey, not ice hockey, btw. Doing the bully-off was best... you could 'accidentally' crack your opponent around the ankles before making off with the ball.
I don't like sport. *grins*
I did fairly well in sports.
wht - Oh dear, were you not picked? I often got picked, but I bet they wish they hadn't picked me afterwards.
I was sometimes picked last because i was not popular but they would eventually pick me because i was very good at pretty much every game.
you can play baseball with me wht
I was pretty much an athletic washout as a kid.
How about softball, jmc.
not a big fan of softball (such a different game) but sure
we could name it the Battling Quakers
Penn has the Fighting Quakers.
There's an oxymoron for ya ..
I was on a softball team on a previous job.
I wonder how many lives have been screwed up by not being Popular at school?
I don't know. Even worse are the people who peaked in High School
I wasn't a geek, I wasn't a glamour girl, but I always got on okay because I always was confident that being me was okay.
well that is why we can't use the fighting quakers
i did fine in college it was before then i was in terrible shape
the struggling quakers?
Quakers on a Mission?
ooh I like that jac
:-D
commenting on the US skaters dressed in authentic Indian clothes and took Indian dance classes
(India Indian)
Does anyone have a clue for the in 6/21 word please?
Indian as i Jaipur or as in Native American (what I call Red Injuns)?
Jaipur
Never miind! I just got that in 6/21 word, thank you!
Ah. Most moving and erotic dane from there.

Go Min!
go min go
Liked that dance...
Watched the very long film 'Australia' the night before last. I don't like what 'the white man' did to the native people of Australia, NZ, USA, Africa.
Does anyone have a clue for the si 6/18 word please?
Go, Min!
Actually, I need that first si 6/18 word if you have it.
si 6= si*! Stay + number
There are two 2/18. Referring to people who are not standing
nice dance and nice that they are ahead
But,in some cases, especially in Africa, re tribal wars, some kind of peace was maintained in the past. Perhaps not always in the best kind of way, though. But, thinking ogf the machete masaacres in Rwanda, maybe we should have stayed 'in power'.
Ther first is a funny past tense
and I am back
Thank you for the si6/18 clue. I just found the word.
S's Stomped! 4 left
the second si6.18 is what yu might be if you look after someone's baby.
i recommend you read the US Peace Institute discussion of that Jac I learned a lot
Link to it please, jmc?
let find brb
I'd also like to read the UK discussions on that. We, the Dutch and the French were there first.
If you don't belive the Dutch influence, listen to Afrikaans as she is spoke by the English.
T's Toppled! 2 left
Oddly enough, the New Zealanders also use the same vowel soundsin speech, i,e 'black' = 'bleck'. More Dutch inluence.
Go Min
I am done! I have fireworks!en6/18 was my last word
I can't find it jac I have it bookmarked on my office computer
whooo hooo min!
wtg min
Yay, Min!!!
The new 'typical Aussie' accent as sported by Hollywood and teenagers from the Antipodes, uses those vowel sounds. Also, teenagers the world over use the Aussie thing of making a statement sound like a question by using an upturn at the end of a sentence.
Don't see anyone else asking for clues, but I am here.
Don't knock our lack of speaking
Jilli posted a funny link to the last, btw.
too wrapped up in the ice dancing now
Herin - I'm not knocking it.
I put 'typical Aussie' in quotes for the very reason that I know it is not typical.
yep
Teens from any country or culture will always hit on some way to make themselves sound either shocking or different.
Time for me to go. Night all.
'Night wht.
I sound like my birth sisters but more English
Night Wht

Hi, PAV and GE, and congrats!!!
Last night of freedom to drink, smoke and chat late for me. Early night later to be at hospital for 1pm treadmill heart tests, no tea, coffee, cigarettes etc., for 4 hours before the test. This is our young and eager new GP getting too eager after my Mum was diagnosed with angina a couple of weeks ago. Now he's going to send me, a fat, middle-aged smoker, drinker and mother of 2 kids on the same test. If I last the 6 mins my Mum did on the treadmill without having a coronary (I don't DO running!), I'll no doubt be back to tell you all that if I don't give up smoking and drinking, and lose weight, I'll be dead sooner than I might want to bre.
Hi PAV.
Jac neither do I
you can do it , Jac!
Congratulations Good Enough on fireworks! Hooray!!
Hello PAV3! How are you doing? Welcome to the chog!
luck be with you Jac! If it were me I might pick out my head stone first.
PAV - I can and will if the UK doesn't grind to a halt this week due to snow again.
my doc at least gave me a one-year notice on that "stress test"
pug - I've got mine carved already. LOL.
hi pav
Hi, pugmama
I have 73 to go Min
hi pug
Hi Pug, Hi Pav
hi dawg!
I was built for cuddles not speed
slow but steady always win!
hi all not lurking really just monkeying while watching Forrest Gump
Hello pugmama763!How are you? Welcome to the grid
Run Forest Run!
I've shredded all the incriminating evidence about my past that I can find, just in case I do keel over and my kids find it. LOL
71
don't do that Jac we need you at babble
go Pav!
interesting info about the New Yorker, Min. thanks
erns
Only kidding. If they can't contend with the 'not the mamma' me and my past, well that's their problem. The fact that I want to 'go out' to Lyn Skyn's 'Freebird' should already have warned them.
sorry...wasn't watching what I was doing...
Pav's all at sea!
Jac my b.fs parents were pot smoking hippies
Pot gave me a thumping headache, Herin. Only tried it twice and then never bothered again.
I have seen the pics
70 left...I must find the list...
Black resin like an oxo cube first time and green stuff second time.
o hash and standard no wonder you were ill
Almost got high on the pot fumes coming out of the Uni in Amsterdam when we walked past there when Belove took me for weekend for my 50th birthday.
hehehe THat stuff makes my gf violently ill
Black Afghan, herin.
fireworks and gn all
that is Hash
Yay, SeaSpray!!!
Anyway, Herin, unless I have arthritic pain to be settled, I won't be going the marijuana route again.
yah Sea
Well done Seaspray.
ty all, have a great day/night!
So, Herin, what is the kindest form to take?
none. I am just saying that hash resin is fairly errr not good
Coy all of a sudden?
No not at oil. I am just saying that the resin is more potent.
And I hadn't gone coy. I was trying to think back to the classes I took when I did Youth work
whoooo hoooo sea! night night
da6 21 clue, please?
and i'm heading for my pillows too. see you all tomorrow.
night dawg!
the da6.21's are plurals, pav
not the da6 21 social people
*poof*
both da6/21 are plurals of da5/12s
G'night, lbd
Greetings, gremlinn!
hey Jellen
then I also need the last da5 12 clue?
Hey everyone I missed
I can't get onto youtube now, as it's telling me to update my browser. I have done re Firefox but will NOT be accepting McAfee add ons. GRRR!
d + two prepositions
da + double consonant + vowel
so i wanted to come home and chill with a grid, but i think this one is a bit too big for me!
It was a fun one - lots of long words
Granted, mostly because of the nice -ers ending
def more than 2 hours worth of hunting...
Re da5/12 - if yuo wanted to say 'same again' di5/12.
hi pippin and thanks Jellen and grem..got'em both
Hi, pipping
59 left!
It's quite a kindly grid, pippin.
yeah, but i hate not finishing, and i think there's not enough time for me. there's always tomorrow
Youcan get lots of words straight off but may need more time to finish. Play the game!
besides, it's 11 and i've been at work or working out since 7am, and i think maybe bed could be my friend
it took about as much time as a mid-100s grid usually does
how's your "other" friend - the texter
This all sounds like lyrics from a number of Queen songs that youtube will no longer allow me to link to. Double GRR!
I need the very last da6 24
pav - we went on worst date ever, so i think i will limit our interactions to rock climbing. saw him today and things were mellow
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NnAZTIt YxUQ
Maybe you can watch and listen when I can't. *sobs*
d + abbreviation for down under + learn to *** your shoes
sorry to hear, pippin...too much expectations?
da 4/6 + 2 vowels
I'm off to annoy my other half by wrapping my cold self around him like ivy now.

at least i will get to tell this story for years! good funny bad dates are priceless
night Jac!
G'night, jac
Aha, secretly he knew he could help provide a lasting memory - how sweet!
perfectly fine - do you have any idea how many gorgeous people there are at a rock climbing gym? i'd rather watch them than worry about him any day
don't we all wish to be remembered for something?
i think so - tho i would generally prefer to be memorable for doing something good rather than being terrible at something i want to do well
Pip it seems to me like this lad has been reading The Game
well that's one game he's lost before he got a chance to play the fun parts!
Apparnetly it is a book that teachers guys to date. Sorry I just think its b.s
...and in the game of life, we can't win if we don't play...
most of those books are, on both sides of the gender aisles
No, the only way to win is NOT to play. Don't you remember the end of War Games?
I don't like burning books in fact it makes me chringe. But in this case I feel that those books make good fire blocks
how about global thermonuclear war?
Or maybe that's a different game.
how true, Grem. and in the new Star Trek, Kirk doesn't play, he just re-programmed the game...
How...about...a nice game...of chess?
this is all very fascinating and such but I really really need to sleep for a bit. O and as for Kirk he makes his own rules
I do chess! at least I used to...

Think I'll go read a bit, too...may be back after the flip...
I suppose I could stay for the flip...but all I may drink is water...
good night MPitt
bye mpitt
me too Pav, nothing until after a visit to the lab
it's my regular blood-letting to discover all the good things I've been doing edible-wise...
good for you Pav, this is also routine, yearly, but he's ticked off just about everything on the form
they may drain me!!
Still only one pinprick, though, isn't it?
yep, and th doc will be looking for my allergy meds to show up too...
yes, thanks goodness jilli
ONLY! one is quite enough for me...
ah, to make sure you're taking them Pav, like a good boy
yes, isn't it awful, how we dread these silly little pin-pricks
I'm taking Omnaris...the latest in NSAID nasal sprays
interesting, have not heard of it
after we ran through the list of what I have taken, this was it...
good think I don't mind them -- have to have one very 4 weeks because of arthritis meds
wow, so you've tried them all?
*good thing
oh Jilli, I wouldn't care for that
flosey, that cake looks TOO delicious!
I was looking for the most decadent cake I could find - not bad eh?
it's just a drag having to get there before 1 pm
..and after the latest voluntary bloodletting for the local UNited Blood Services drive, wherein they couldn't find a vein in me to save my life or any others, I've just about sworn off any more blood letting....
oh Pav, that's awful - happened to hubby, they finally asked him if he'd like to come back the next day! someone else would be on
well, Movieman might not gain an ounce, but it sure looks pound worthy
When that happens, you gotta bring out the leeches.
doesn't it Pav
oh yuk Grem, that sounds pretty yukky
and, there's really nothing pretty about yukky
(to correct myself, before jilli does)
like Thurber's "pretty ugly"
It's pretty pretty.
lol
and not purty ugly?
am I that bad, flosey?
Darn, that no longer looks like a real word.
hi all! actually made it for the flip
no no no jilli, I appreciate being corrected
hugs jili; flosey; grem; pav
(from Thurber's book, "My Days With Ross" when he was with the New Yorker)
hi Dee
hi Dee!
hugs back Dee
hi dee hi
127 words today

I'd like that Grem - since I have to leave bright and early for the lab
and that would be a treat jilli
hi volley jilli flos grem pav all
I want more, but I'm trying to jinx it to be big.
