we are having very warm sunny days at the moment but hugely cold nights (horses are double rugged and no rugs in the day)
my horses finally have their "rugs" off now

has never had any heart issues before either they were worrying last night about a possible stroke too but have ruled that out
she has arthritis, diabetes type 2 which she keeps very controlled, and some high blood pressure other than the usually age related issues she still cooks most of her own meals and cleans her house once a week
she sounds fantastic Barb, I hope she will be ok
the only thing now is she doesn't get out as much now because of two knee replacements from the arthritis
My mum is 83 and is fit as a fiddle, but when I hear something like this, I realise we must make the most of her
I always think of my mum as being immortal
She has slowed the last year alot but loves to do her crocheting

My mum is a good sewer and still makes skirts for my girls and she is editing an architect's PHD paper at the moment -he says he doesn't trust the young ones to do it!
My mum is 93 and still loves sewing but her eyesight is becoming a problem
Good for her sandy...it is good to keep busy and keep the mind going. My mom is always making something dish clothes, hand towels, decorative doillies...she use to do needle work too but her eyesight isn't up to that anymore
which is all the more amazing when you know that my mum was raised on a sheep station and never even went to school until she was 11- she has amazing word and grammatical knowledge

me too...it was different for me when my dad died...I looked after him with his cancer and knew at some point he would go...but yesterday morning she was fine...and then by 3 in the afternoon very ill so sudden and unexpected and again just as suddenly she is home again
My dad had cancer too and I know what you mean, but Mum has always seem invincible to me

yes in a way jill...her heart would be down at 46 then jump to 104 then to 86 then 54 then112...it was all over the place and this was making her throw up
oh, poor thing!
then they would loose sinus rhythm...then it would beat very slow indeed...it was terrible and she kept insisting we still leave her and go have our mothers day dinner...there was no way I could leave her the way she was...so we had a mothers day dinner with no mothers in attendance...we plan another special dinner this coming sunday to celebrate.
my heart beats very fast now...they call mine tachicardia...she is now classed as bradicardia

gosh...I only have found 15 words...I better head off to bed and try to sleep tonight although I want to run downstairs to check on her...but don't want to disturb her rest either...fighting the urge to check..okay heading to bed...night all

lynxxx, it was all to do with the way they managed the changeover to a new store. Basically, they allowed their old store to run down so much that it couldn't be considered worthy of the name of a shop. They were so greedy that they couldn't just shut it down and say 'We'll open our new store in a week's time'. Instead, they allowed shoppers like me to waste their time trying to get groceries from near empty shelves. I just felt they treated their customers like dirt.
That is bad Haz, do you shop there now?
So, I wrote and protested and told them I wouldn't be shopping in their new store, even though I'd been a loyal customer for years. They never even acknowledged my letter.
Tescos is a no-go zone!
It's become a bit of a family joke, people admit sheepishly that they've bought something in Tescos etc.

I made the costumes and the school reimbursed me for materials. there was never any mention of "rent" or any cost to the parents, and as far as I know none of the other parents had to surrender the costumes. I see their point about having the parents contribute to the materials fee, but then let the kids keep them.
so they just wanted you to make costumes for their supply room...how nice

they basically said that if i was going to wear flats, it would be fine, but if i was going to have even a kitten heel, i should order it taller. normally, you have to pay for extra length (as katie said) but the designer also gave that to me for free. :)

I think the trick is to have comprehensive medical/dental care that covers preventative visits/procedures --- that certainly goes a long way to reducing health care costs.

first cancer was breast and mine could respond to tamoxifen. There had been some spread to lymph nodes but the oncologist felt that chemo would only give a 2% better chance of preventing a return. 2nd was colon, and no spread -- no need. 3rd was just a bcc (basal cell carcinoma), no problem. I've had 3 of those so far.

I tried this out a looooong time ago and apparently my 14 day trial period expired, imagine that =P
i'm trying to remember, but i think you see them free for a week or two, then if you don't pay to join then you don't see them anymore
if a word can start on multiple tiles, preference is given to the higher row (or left-er column, if they're in the same row)

then you won't be able to see the stats unless you upgrade
it's $15 to become a member and then you get all the features back

I think the standardly accepted rule is that it's cheating if you use some automatic word-finding program to list all the words in the puzzle, but it's not cheating to get clues or look for words on your own in dictionaries.
