I remember being terribly embarrassed when one car needed to have the exhaust replaced. I roared up to the garage sounding like a boy racer.
I need a boost to get the car going, and then I can drive it to the garage. Am scanning neighbourhood already for unsuspecting strong men.
oh! Haz, I know! I had to do the same once... I was red in the face and I kept looking apologetic to everyone who looked my way.
pfft, the exhaust on my car went last November and I 'did' sound like a boy racer. Unfotunately as it is a twin exhaust it cost about £1200 to replace the whole system.

no the battery works. To put it profesionally: the engine goes woowoowoowoowoo but it won't go broom.
The car also needed a service and MOT and 2 new tyres so the total bill was £2500 - thankgoodness I had just sold the flat.
oh and a new radiator.

I remeber someone saying to him if he was ok, and he said ok..then they asked if there was anything they could do..and he replied there is nothing anyone can do...did not sound too good...i thought he was just feeling a bit under the weather..not so sure now.
BR used to talk a lot more a few years ago but he is a closed book as to his history and feelings.
From what he has mentioned in the chat log, he has had mental health problems for a long time. Medication is both his help and his enemy and getting the balance right seems to be a real problem.

I am trying to read Anathem by Neil Stephenson. It was rather hard for me at the start, it is brilliantly written but it taxes my knowledge of english pretty heavily. Am starting to get into the story though. And am enjoying his play on words.

my niece ( the new born iwouldnt allow at my wedding) just got married last fall....they could not decide on anything for a wedding..but had already planned a weekend in niagara falls...decided..lets get married there...and the family all met there for a weekend
we have gatherings often enough where we allow the kids. just had a huge cookout/party last year. my wedding is the one time im saying no kids.

no, she thought they were a toy. he was pretending to put her in jail. had them on his wrist too, but of course he slipped right out of them. he was truly sorry, didn't mean to really lock her up.
Onec one of my nephews, spending the weekend with me, at about age6 or 7, was mad at me and, unbeknownst to me, called 911. When a Sheriff's car pulled into the driveway Peter started crying + told me what he did. The officer talked to him about what 911 is really for.
