I have stage 4 lung cancer that has metastized to my right shoulder and adrenal gland ..sigh
that sucks
have you had surgery?
at first they thought I had rotator cuff and/or shoulder tendinitis
I told them no way until they finally listened
I remember when you hurt your foot and said your shoulder was really bothering you
my shoulder started after my foot was healing but same year
you had to 'butt' your way up and down stairs and that put a lot of pressure on your arms
I have a tumour in my lung that is less than 2/3rds inch but it spread to my right shoulder the size of a baseball
made them strong if I remember correctly
yes but that's been quite a while now....I can walk fine now but I have little strength, and no appetite
so what are they doing for you?
at first they were sure with this type of cancer I wouldn't last even 6 months so they did radiation on my shoulder to ease the pain which had become completely debilitating...
did it help?
that helped so much even I was amazed (that was last june/july. Then when they saw I was doing much better than expected they did some scans and decided to do more radiation but this time on my lung shoulder and adrenal gland...that was in Jan
1/2way. going to bed. Sorry you're not feeling well Just.
now after another scan they told me that the tumours have shrunk to about 1/2 or a little less than what it was

I didn't explain that clearly. Most properties here are fully fenced, and it is usually against local laws to have dogs roaming at large outside your property. Houses in the States don't seem to be fully fenced...and so I was wondering how the deer and dogs get on?
It is against the law to let dogs roam loose here too, but a lot of people don't care and let their dogs roam loose anyway.

Scary procedure but she needs it done. They must bypass heart so patch can be sown over hole between upper chambers.

Not sad, really. It's part of the surgical process. She went into the OR at 0700. Duration is expected to be 6 hrs.
I am so anxious but remind myself that she is the singular focus of the surgical team.

I took a few days off (from babble) so now have broken the need to complete every grid I start
it felt like a guilty pleasure, to sit and read when flip time rolled around
going to find a new icon for tomorrow's puzzle
that sounds nice, sitting and reading... *sigh* only a few more weeks for me and then I will no longer be a student and reading will once again be more pleasure than chore. I hope.
