hi, soodle, my son's gf attacked him last night - actually tried to strangle him (to the point where he was losing consciousness); he screamed for the police; when they came she told them he'd dragged her out of the car by her hair (since there were no marks on her and he is pretty beaten up) and they arrested him. he's been charged with domestic battery.
but he is doing ok, at least physically; I bailed him out of jail this morning. Looking for counseling for him, and for someone who recognizes that men can be domestic violence victims. Sigh.

we are coping but it is, to say the least, stressful.
and he is a genuinely nice kid, never laid a hand on her. she also trashed the inside of my car while this was going on.

Oh Jilly, I know of this, unfortunately. I have a good friend who went through something very similar to your son. At the time, I wanted to shake some good sense into him.
he was stationed in Seattle and I flew out to get him thru the time she had accused him of rape. I remember standing on the balcony of my brother-in-laws condo praying angels to uphold him as he walked back to CG boat as I was so afraid he'd try suicide...bad memories...
