we celebrated very calmly, Molly. My girl made me a lovely apple pie. I got an MP4 player as a present from my family and we ate together. My love had cooked a lovely meal. And this morning we had an even lovelier brunch, just the 5 of us. It was nice :)

a good anti virus program and firewall, a regular check with Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware or Spybot. Never ever open attachements unless you know who they are from.
for email, the best thing is something like mailwasher, because the mail stays on the server until you have checked it, and you only allow it on your puter when you are sure it is safe.
writing down the names of the malware checkers.. that is what it was, one named "Godzilla", another I forgot the name of
for surfing the internet, try the immunizer that is part of Spybot Search and Destroy. And update regularly.

yes. If you have an external hard drive (they aren't expensive anymore), you can make a sort of copy from your computer. If all goes to hell then, you can format and put the image back.
there are programs that do that for you. Norton has one, but there are more.
(norton's is called norton ghost, if I remember correctly)

it pays to do it, especially since you have a clean machine now. Saves a load of work if something should happen again.

Before I started my teaching career, I had various jobs from high school through graduate school. Unfortunately, none of the jobs worked out.I worked at concession stand at a sports ar5/10 when I was a teenager. When I was in college, I had a part-time da 4/5 entry job.Was aw 4/9 by how fast my co-workers could type. I tr5/12 to type as fast as them and I er5/12 big-time.I ir4/5 my boss and got fi5/18. I also had a job as a candy striper in a hospital. That job did not last.I had a weak stomach and I fa4/7ted everytime I saw any blood. That job was go 4/6 soon after I started. I worked at Sports Authority selling sports ge4/6 as well. I lost that job as well because I was ta7/32 than the other workers.Also had a job as a chamber maid in hotel.At first,I thought it was a su 5/14 job because I was able to re6/21 in hotel, but I quickly hated the job.I had to ri4/4 very early every day and clean the rooms and make them ne 4/4. That job was a pa4/5. My boss was not pe5/12. He always ra4/4ed and raved over my lack of cleaning skills.So I re 5/14 many of the rooms.Did not get any rewa4/9s for being the best chamber maid. Finally, I had it out with him & I put myself into a qu 5/16 mess. Needless to say, I was let go from that job too.But I did not pi 4/5 over the loss of that job. Now I have a job that I love and would not tr 5/12 in for any other job in the world. I'm a crafter... collect ( or hoard ) many things.... make all my own cards too, using various methods... have had cancer,.... a three year survivor and feeling very positive.... just enjoyed watching the Jays beat the Indians in extra innings .....

omg, I do, I do. have to have music. made a 5 hour round trip by myself car ride last weekend. Made 6 CD's from my music - all favorites. Drove all with the music blaring and me singing at the top of my lungs.
it flips at 11:00 p.m. for me... so I often have a look at the grid before I go to bed.
I also have 7 bookcases of books. I am starting to weed some of them out, giving them to a retirement village.
I have music on my computer from the 1920's to the present... I like all genres ... except heavy metal and rap. I actually have the earliest recording of "Diane" from 1928 !!
it is a 1:00 am flip here - I'm an insomniac, but when i get sucked in it can be after 2 before i go to bed
