i sat out in the sun having a late lunch today... first time i have seen sun in a week!!
makes a huge difference to ones mental outlook on life to have that ball of fire tanning my face for 15 minutes
we had a real summer's day today -- but it's back to "spring" tomorrow, they say.
I certainly agree with that, mrp

hooray for vanilla going pro! (Nice strawberries!)
wd meliae
thank you came to screeching halt at 89 to go this does not bode well, LOL
ty Jill Strawberries are my one and only weakness not
I love strawberries too
we'll dribble a little chocolate and some cream over them and have a party
need another cup of tea, brb
gasp - I have just found out that enable doesn't believe in santa -how could thta be?
toast a cranberry scone, cover with strawberries and creme fraiche
the imagery coming off that island in Norway is just not acceptable for human consumption! Why do the news corps do that??
sorry, but it is bloody disturbing to see that
because they are selfless money hungry newscasters who dont give a damn about the friends and familes of the vitims
I think we need to see this mrp we all need to wake up to how we live with each other
victims* makes me mad too
or the people who will suffer endless sleepless nights from seeing that
they can talk about it all they want, they just do not have to be so crass when it comes to the images
i understand vanilla, the wake up call came back in 2001... but to show live footage?? no
that is what I am saying meli... it was just awful to see that!
I know its horrible
dead kids on the rocks of the island?? video footage?
there was a wreck by my house the other night, a man died, my idiot neighbor was down there with his cell phone taking pictures before the police and ambulance even got there, I was so darn mad at him and screamed at him to back off
I just cry when I see that... I watched live the second plane go into the twin tower and that was enough for me to cry for days
what a d**khead! i hope he gets arrested for that kind of behaviour
sry have to go bbl
see ya vanilla
I told the police he had pictures and told them where he lived
I do not know if they did anything about it however
brb need a snack =)
sorry to come in the convo with this, but it shocked me!
brb, need a vodka
is the tr 8 a compoun word?
haven't found it yet meli
oh, and to top it off, my daughter came home with sad news too
oh what is up with her?
one of her good friends... 13 years old... pregnant
oh my goodness another baby having a baby
and she isn't telling an adult about it.... won't tell her mother, is just ignoring it and hoping it will 'go away'
perhaps your daughter can talk to the school nurse?
i know the young girl... it is a situation I can't obviously get involved in.
can you talk to the young girl mrp?
i have suggested that her friend speak with the school welfare councelor
i can flosey, but I would be putting my nose in where it wasn't welcome.
i feel for her... she can't communicate with her mother, and to be having unprotected sex at 13 is just incredibly dumb! The both of them... the boy is 13 too, I know of him
i feel that a call to the school welfare officer is warranted... but keep it anon
that is what I would do
my daughter wants to take her to our doctor, and the girl has agreed
but she doesn't want her mum to know about it
can children that young down there go to the dr without a parent to sign for them?
by law, i have to report it
no meli, her mother would find out cause the doc would have to tell
well she needs to be seen what if there are complications? both for her sake and the babies
certainly she can see a doctor without parental knowledge but the doctor would advise her of her options and the necessity of parents knowledge
oh boy
and the boy has no worries
that is true flosey
no jilli, he hasn't reacted either way... cause he is 13
if I reported it to a teacher, it would then be by law that the teacher would have to report it to authorities... It is another way around
hi babblers, mrp, jilli, flosey, ruru, meliae. ...I couldn't sleep, and just came online.....I just glanced over at the chog...mrp..I am worried that if you take the girl to the doctor without her parents knowledge that you are setting yourself up for trouble?
a 13 year old would have no bloody clue i should think. he would only wait and see what she did
hi robbie :)
someone has to r3eport it before the girl does something dumb
i know robbie, that is why I don't want to do it that way
I was just thinking about the unfairness of it all
mrp..hugs!
yes ruru, you are right... she is covering up her feelings right now... not good.
very sad situation
babies dont' jsut go away.. ask Arnold Swarzenegger
lickety and i spoke about it, the welfare of the girl is important
yes.. her welfare comes first.
why can't the girl speak to her mother..is she scared or other problems?
it's too late to condom her activities
robbie, some kids are not supervised, the parents are off having their 'own life' and the mother doesn't even know she has a boyfriend
older girls than this one have been afraid to tell their parents, she needs guidance, are there public health clinics in your area mrp
yes flosey
tsk tsk ruru
the nurses there are generally very understanding, caring, and would certainly advise her to involve her parent(s)
have her watch Juno mr. P
I can't do much unless it is ''true'' either.
absolutely, reason to see Dr. if she isn't, Dr. does not have to say anything
no ruru, but I am about to watch a movie called "Thirteen"... my MIL gave me a copy and said 'watch it!' so will put it on tonight
correct flosey, absolutely right
at least she can be tested at a clinic
mrp..has she taken a home test?
just a urine test, and then a blood test would need to be authorised if she was
robbie, i am not sure... the girls are keeping tightlipped, but my daughter tells me everything she knows
those urine tests are pretty acurate
thirteen.. wow
unfortunately, one of her friends was having sex at 11.
omg
poor dear!...I have a friend who had a baby at 15...13 is so young
yikes! 11!
this one particular girl has her reputation, and all the boys know where to go to 'get some'
oh boy...sounds like a troubled girl..how sad
it will trouble her .. her whole life I bet
where are the parents in all of this
she will certainly never forget it
I had my first child at 15 but I had a very loving and supportive family, something it sounds like she does not have unfortunately
and she is also 2 years younger than I was I just cannot imagine that
me neither
yes, 2 years means so much at that age!
so much for a first kiss in australia I guess
I was actually 2 months shy of my 16th birthday but sheesh it was still rough with my family helping and all I went through some rough times, all the boys thought that because I had already had a baby I was easy, and mind you this wqs 37 years ago, it was way more bad then
yes meliae.. it was different then
I'm so glad that you had a supportive family meliae
my mom liked to say I was a good kid until "that" night, first time I snuck out, first time I got drunk, first time I had sex, and first time I got pregnant. LOL
oh
I did it all in one fell swoop LOL easy to laugh about now but sheesh
talk about d
talk about going out with a bang..
dont you know I nai led my daughters window shut when she hit puberty LOL
hahahah Ru
lol mel
I'd best be off to bed. Night all
g'night ruru
nite ruru
g'night ru
sure seems to me a 13 year old now days would have a lot of trouble having a baby, our bodies have aged in that sense, 200 years ago it was more common to have babies young, since our lifespans were much shorter, but if I remember correctly they say 13 year olds back then were like 18 year olds now days
*waves bye*
nini Ruru sweet dreams
interesting, mel
I know girls are having their periods a lot younger than in my day..many are 9 years old now.
I think that has to do with all the hormones in food, I think I may have read about that somewhere
fake hormones that is that the farmers etc put in the feed
those are pasturized hormones though.
poor ruru -- he can't help it
*giggle*
Today, little girls are made up of more than just sugar, spice, and everything nice. These girls of the twenty-first century are maturing earlier than last generation's children, and something is very different about their womanly physical attributes and behavior. Could there be a food link to this mystery?
go read this, http://www.health101.org/art_Milk_and_ Girls.htm
There is also the problem of people flushing pills...and the hormones staying in the water supply from that
that article is about breast cancer but it also coreelates with what we have been talking about
I heard about a way to dispose of pills -- crush them and mix them in with coffee grounds and then put the lot in the garbage
that's a good idea jilli
I heard that too Jilli, and that is what I have been doing, some I return to the pharmacy as well
oh yes, mel, that too
brb time to close some windows it has finally cooled off a bit
we had our first really summery day today -- but a week or so of cloud is predicted, with cooler temps :-(
wow!It has been in the 90 degrees here!
94 here in springfield oregon was miserable I do not have air conditioning so I bought Ice blocks and put them in front of my fans to help cool the air
our little corner of the continent has had a chilly, wet spring with only a few sunny days scattered sparsely between the clouds.
good idea meliae! and drink plenty of water, too!
And spring has extended way into "summer" while everyone else is roasting.
and hubby's garden is suffering for it, jilli - everything is late
I was dehydrated a week ago, and collapsed..It was a 92 degree day!
that would be frightening robbie
we had that too Jilli, it rained and rained, all the crops are late, the cherries split from the rain. A lot of the farmers are going to have a rough go at it this year.
Where are you, mel?
I drink piles of liquids I am addicted to having a drink of some kind at all times, usually water, but drink a lot of juices as well.
Springfield Oregon, willamette valley, it is south of Portland Oregon
It was flosey..an ambulance took me to the hospital! My head still hurts from where i hit it when I fell.
back... darn phone calls! sorry
oh yes -- Pacific Northwest
good heavens Robbie so scary
wb mrp
wb Mrp hope it was a pleasant phone call =)
over halfway and ready for bed
55 to go for me and I think my brain already went to bed without me, lol
it was pleasant! am seeing a girlfriend tomorrow arvo and making her some dinner to take home for the family
she is clear of breast cancer for 12 weeks now and returned to work, so helping out where I can with food that she likes!
wow -- that's a pretty nice thing to do, mrp!
that's great mrp
ooo what are you going to make? something yummy no doubt
I made her lamb shanks last week, this week, it will be hungarian goulash
she does it for me too jilli, she is a lovely lady!
I will be right there for any left overs lol
and i make hungarian goulash the 'real' way! being half Hungarian and all LOL!
sounds delicious!
you are both lovely ladies
you are all welcome!!
luv ya jilli! **hugs**
oh, I found out something today!!!
Nini Jilli sweet dreams =)
just another thing of course!!
what, what?
oh ?
The Prick's wife has left him! She is no where to be seen and has moved out of the home
serves him right
that serves him right!
good for her
this screws his court case up against me!
how the crap do you spell camisole? camisoll? bleh lol
ooo good news in deed
and he had to serve papers to the courts, and send me a copy today... looking forward to seeing them :)
the first one is correct mel
camisole
camisol?? in a sentence??
is that an umberalla?
umbrella... even
it is underclothing
oh, not a parasole
you would wear a camisole under a blouse when wearing slacks
parasol
it hides your bra under a thin blouse like 1/2 a slip
thanks jilli!
lucky ruuster isn't here....
or some have built in bras
ha! he prolly is spying on us girls
My son said he doesn't email me much because I might correct his spelling :-(
oh jilli!! that is just meanie beanie talk!
I thought so too
how come timtam isn't a word!! it is in the grid and it is a word!!
trademark, I guess
lots of phantoms as well as words that look like they should be words in this grid
jilli, it is the meaning of 'heavenly biscuit'! LOL
well I am off to bed nice visiting with all you lovely ladies and I will see you all tommorow ((HUGS))
I know, mrp -- and I'll check to see if ours are Arnott's tomorrow
I've never heard of that!
g'night mel
night mel
niters meli :)
~ poof ~
I'm off too -- 91 left and probably won't have time for them tomorrow.
I'm going to try and get back to sleep myself...nite mrp and jilli
g'nite jilli, robbie, mel,
So goodnight/evening all...*poof
I'll be trundling off to bed soon
nite flosey
niters jilli! robbie! sleep well
all my girls are leaving!!
and the Prick's business gets taken over on 2nd August... perfect
I want to find 3 more words
then I might be able to finish tomorrow

thanks robbie :))
**hugs** to all leaving
that's it, 40 for tomorrow
goodnight mrp and any others still here
niters flosey **hugs**
sleep well :))
and hugs to you mrp, you are quite a lady
luv to you flosey, you are a wonderful woman yourself! ((hugs))
ty mrp
I always leave this open in case I can't sleep but sure I will tonight
well, if you are still here, I will be chatting away with you :)
wow, 80 students suspended for accessing a teacher's computer! what a breach!
the evil man in norway spent over half a million dollars preparing for his murderous spree?? holy moly!!
I don't know how Oslo is coping... to be attacked by one of their own.
good morning all
Hi Sprite - I was just wondering if there was anybody here
just arrived :) How are you doing?
just arrived too - second visit iof the day - and this grid is one of the more difficult variety
but at least the sun is shining today
sun is good. Was wondering about the grid indeed, not the usual seeing-more-words-than-I can-type start!
Hi
i've got to 80 and have listed - I don;t usually do that until at least half way
hey lady
Hi Herin
How are you all?
tired still, but otherwise fairly ok. You?
I am fine herin - and you?
Tired and my head hurts and I should be getting with the back.
room
getting with the back room?
That was tiding up and sorting the back room. Sorry
back room can wait if you don't feel well. Take some rest, hun
I was just on the phone discussing how I managed to brake my pc
guess it's fixed now as you're here with us?
It is broken but still works. It is just kind of hanging there. Not sure if I will be upgrading in a few months or just buying it outright.
Sprite I am taking it easy
good :)
We used a computer program last night to sort out the back room except someone has mismeasured
Glant I seem to have broken one side of the mouse button. It is sitting like a chair with a short leg
what are you having done herin?
at home I have been using the same mouse for over 15 years now.
Just putting in new shelves
Sprite do you play pc computer games?
new mice are very cheap these days - even infra red and usb ones
i broke the mouse button on my netbook because i played too much pc games
Yes they are but this is inbuilt and the problem is I ahve seemed to broken the usb's too
I know, but I always have trouble replacing something that isn't broken
so i had to buy a mouse to carry on LOL
yes I play wow and GW, lady
me too, why does everybody think thye need new things all the time?
lol Glant, that fanatic huh!
This is why my button is broken. Too many hit and hit and hit again games
addicted :-)
Glan talking to me who doesn't get a new mobile until it dies completly
sorry about my spelling
I seem to have a gentle hand. My aswd buttons don't go bad either, although on my laptop the letters themselves had vanished.
I don't
me neither
And I turned off a tv show last night because of blatant waste
had a new computer built a couple of years ago... laptop had died completely. But moved my mouse from laptop to new puter.
I've pretty much given uip on TV - I justy watch my favourite shows - about 4 a week - on BBC iPlayer
can you get BBC iPlayer if you're not in the UK?
I watch dvds when I want to watch tv.
I don't know
good heavens, I have 75 words found, 151 left and it feels and plays like I should only need about 30 more. Slow grid!
have 102 now - and slogging through
glad I am not the only one, grin\
just remembered that those bison/cow crosses can be spelt with both single T or double T
thanks Glant
i was stuck on the last ca7 & ca8 for ages until that crossed my mind lOL
didn't have them at all, so that gave me 4
Does that have the male ending ?
no, the buff- ending
THe reeds
My bad that is even a word. I wonder what they taste like
like most beef, probably
I wonder if they produce a good milk too
no idea, but probably
I will never understand why hit + male isn't valid. As in rent-a-killer.
Is it hyphenated?
me neither
nor why enable doesn't recognise Santa
Santa needs a capital, that might be the reason?
O gosh I just found out my friend is going to be an uncle again
always nice
Not with this person. She is an idiot
doh! just found the volcano
Put it nicely
hold on... your friend, who is going to be an uncle, is a girl??
good job Glant (and plural)
well, enable recognises so many spanish words that i thought santa might sneak through even if enable doesn't believe in Father Christmas LOL
O sorry. He is nice. The person having the kid is not so much
lol Glant, it should, shouldn't it!
ah sorry lady, I was a bit slow. Well, good for the baby that at least there is a nice uncle.
Does that make sense?
yes it does
Sorry. I am failing at multi tasking
if I don't understand you, it doesn't mean you are failing... just means I am slow ;)
I am trying to eat pizza andI swear it is a big thig
just finished my first coffee, haven't had breakie yet, am starting to drool when you say pizza.
create a breaky pizza
i was so lazy this morning that for breakfast I had the potato and cauliflower curry i made last night to have for dinner this evening - because i could just micowave it
I am very bad when it comes to creating food. I'd rather not eat than making something. will learn one day though ;)
*drools again* Sounds lovely, Glant!
it was quite nice but now I have the problem of what to have for dinner tonight!
Breakfast cereal? Glant
ROFLMA - good plan Herion
*Herin
argh yes. How about iceberg salad, covered with pasta, with sweet pepper baked with black pepper. Top off with smoked salmon snippets.
Well if you have one way why not the other
O drool Sprite
oh sprite, i may even have all the ingredients for that - thanks!
very tasty, and very easy and quick to make
have you ever baked a sweet red pepper with one or two cherry tomatoes inside, a spoonful of olive oil, and crushed garlic clove and a chopped anchovy - it tastes divine
cut the peppers and cherry tomatoes in half
o that sounds delicious!
bake several in a dish and serve with bread to mop the juices up - makes a great starter or light meal
you'll have to make that next time I come Glan..sounds delish :)
Can't someone cook for me
morning all
hi Kallia :)
morning Kallia - i have a day off
I will make it the next time we're together - your house or mine!
nice...lovely day here
Hi Kalia
it is here now - although the sun took a whikle to break through the mountain mists
just told Alex to leave me alone for the day lol
had breakfast outside
ewwwwwwwwwww they are cooking lambs brains on tv
wow made it to 95 left, still no list. But SLOW!
planning to make some art/ I've just finished the snowflakes and packaged them up
brains are the one food i can't bring myself to try
yuck ....never could understand how anyone could eat those
91 left for me sprite - you're catching up fast
must confess I don't like any organ food. No brains, kidneys, liver etc. Just plain muscle for me please.
I am stuck on the Js
ah great...I've just sent you backgrounds and some stabilisers
I've just started
I'm fine with heart and kidney, don;t like the taste or texture of liver
Was raised on Liver and bacon but brains ewww ewww
you just off today Glan?
it's a slow gid kallia
yes just off today - and the next few mondays - need a day at home alone each week LOL
Glant, I only have the one 8 you clued, and only 3 of the 7s! Not really catching up, just getting the small ones out of the way, it seems.
oh well, will do some art in a few minutes
I love a day at home alone. Especially when the food is already prepared, lol.
thats good...don't let him catch on though !
most of the long words are PR
ok thank you
I won't, but as he's off every friday I can't take Fridays which would be myh preference
I thought you had the elegant teapot out this morning...lol
is the 9 a PR?
there are at least 8 PRs, I have 5 but not the long ones in the middle LOL
yes, it follows a PR8
Thanks
that gave me the 8/9 combo, thanks
Thank yo
i finished with the legant teapot lasgt night - the pimms bottle is emty :-(
Not the pims
yeah...facebook was all over the place..
oh yes the pimms - it is lovely in summer
I have some here, haven't indulged since the last time ;)
Why do they keep showing the fried brains on tv. It is so yuk
you need to click the 'most recent' button at the top of FB Kallia
*gently points lady to the channel changer or even the OFF button*
are you m orbidly fascinated herin?
But the other food is yummy.
just turn it off if you don't like it LOL
thanks Glan..my little brain worked that out eventually lol
right, i have had enough for now - 83 left and time to do soemthing else for a while - maybe even weeding!
*poof*
have a good day glan
I think I have had enough too. My brain is off and elsewhere.
bye Glant, have a lovely time
bye lady, have a sweet evening
Have fun and take care
87 left, back in a few for the rest, need something to eat
bye sprite
back already :)
that was quick :)
some crackers with cheese... even put a wash into the machine.
mine was done really early today....love it hanging and blowing in the breeze
am at our vacation place... have a washing machine and a drier I can use. It is raining here, so I dry with the machine. At home, I love to have the bed linen out!
it's lovely here today, how long are you away for? hope the weather improves for you
my love and I came here a week ago, went back on saturday to pick up our kids from summer camp. We will go home next week on Tuesday.
nice weather would be good, but even without that, it is still a change in place and pace. We are enjoying ourselves.
that's a nice break then sprite. And really good that you had time alone....
yes, we needed that. Kids are not in the easiest phase, lol, at 13 and 15. It is nice to have a break... I have my sense of humour back, which is the only way for me to handle two adolescents in da house ;)
oh yes, that age can be full of pitfalls ....boys in particular start to grunt in response to any thing!
oh exactly! He comes back from camp, I ask how it was... he grunts: "Boring!" Then, later, I say he won't go again, of course... and he wants to know where did I get that stupid idea from, because it was fun.
lol....been there....so frustrating
isn't it just, lol.
ok thats it for me for now...nbt, and over half way.
bye sprite, have a lovely day :)
wow Kallia, wtg! Have a lovely day too :)
thanks...art calls :)
enjoy! May you find inspiration along with the perspiration ;)
morning, all!
hey uusue :)
beautiful picture, uusue
evening all :) sprite, usue, kali et al :)
hey mrP :)
hello everybody
hi rubyfoo :)
hi ruby :)
yay for Cadel, mrp! Is it a national holiday?
... Nothing but Australian wine today, right?
I am re-connected but poor husband isn't yet. I begged the phone company and another tech guy will come tomorrow and hopefully, he'll be fixed up
a good book is all he needs ;) Hi doseffing
it has been suggested! but alas no!
dosef: and Ryder was on the winning team
aussie wine all round! cheers!
... morning
hi dos!
... put his picture on my icon ... typical Canadian ... celebrating having helped someone else win ...
I really liked the guy who won.
I was rooting for him all the way, never liked Andy Schleck, no personality
the Aussie guy I mean
it was wonderful to see him win!
and I cried when he did
oh ruby! :))
as for Ryder, I think he'll be important in the future and riding for Thor Hushovd and such a great team was very important for his career
I am not into watching sports, but I happened to see him win. Beautiful style, modest and kind guy. Great legs too ;)
yes he touched me too.
... maybe he'll figure out to ride at the front next year and not lose 25 minutes to the leaders ...
that's funny about the legs; I only notice that they all shave their legs
astir
ok, hi again, sprite, doseffing, ruby, mrp! Was off updating the NIU physics facebook page...
{{sue}}
hi all *fingers crossed that computer healed itself*
well I can't help it, I love to watch beautiful men. Bad sprite ;)
wb uusue!
yay! i am no longer speaking double speak
is that your new computer, jmc? Say it isn't so...
hey jmc!
hello jmc
hi jmc! :)
It is so nice to be back among the babblers!!!!
... must go ... ... daughter needs computer to enroll in first year courses this morning ... ...
hi usue! :))
bye dos :)
bye, doseffing! good luck to your daughter!
short, but still happy to see you, doseffing, however short :)
bye dose!
it is my new and speedier computer after only 4 hours of transferring files yesterday
bye dose!
good job, jmc
some of the ma's are not working for me
first ma6 please?
sorry hun, not there yet.
only ma6 i guess LOL
so the new computer has in fact healed itself? (In my experience, rebooting can work wonders)
i didn't even reboot -- i just hibernated and went to bed
found one, mrP. Ma + not a few + vowel.
ah, got it, thanks sprite
yvw, and thanks, grin
thx, sprite! Interesting way of making a word plural...
yeah indeed
still looking for it -- duh
ty sprite
it doesn't take majure as in force majure? am i misspelling again?
majeur.
ah i am misspelling again ty sprite
french ending... always confusing ;)
oh i am easily confused by spelling ;-)
and enable won't accept it, darn thing
bad enable
beautiful rose, btw!
i was so proud for finding it (even if i did misspell it)
you should be. Very well spotted.
ty complete stolen off the internet--could find my photos of my roses
*couldn't
it is very beautiful
stats for the E please
errrr you mean all E words?
excuse me! is J'Lo heading for 9 marriages?? 'they went into the marriages with the temptations that exist, and had a grand plan' ????
oh no sorry lo** focus
just one stat from the E in the last column please
mrP, hun, you totally lo4 me!
at the same time mr p?
ed4/5 and 6/21, having to do with making texts ok
9? you're kidding, right?
my father has an hungarian saying for people that marry several times.... 'whores'
ty sprite
ty sprite!
think that it is ok to have many partners in their life, but marry to make it 'ok' to everyone else
and plural of the ed4/5, of course...
or Liz Taylor wilding Burton Fisher Burton and what's-his-name
how many did elizbeth taylor have?
8 or 9 i think
she had at least 5 if you count Richard Burton twice
I think it is easy to judge, harder to understand. I don't think I can judge their choices, because I don't know enough about themselves.
la
lol, thanks uusue! How could I miss that one.
la to you no no
hi nono
hi Nanette, la to you too :)
snap, sprite!
indeed sprite, but they give interviews that make little sense to me... 'we live day by day, week by week, month by month... to make our relationship ours'... bulls##t
hi nono!
well i have had more than that number sexual partners and i think they just married all of them rather than have a relationship without the benefit of marriage
whose else relationship would it be?
don't know if that is bullshit, it may be the way they feel about it.
exactly jmc!
what i find is the things we say to our loved ones are incredibly hokey but we don't get quoted by the press
could be a language thing too. Some things sound weird in translation.
hi, nono!
j'lo speaks english
you think calling your dog "poopy" is weird?
ah ok. Didn't sound english to me, her name, lol
depends on where the dog just pooped, I think :-)
i tell my husband the truth... every single time... 'you are so p*&sing me off and I will hurt you in .02 of a second if you continue down this path'... we then sort it out, yelling or heads together in solace...
haha sprite
wellllll yes it sounds weird, rubyfoo, but hey, people call their dogs give their dogs even weirder names.
I once met Marc Anthony on a plane going to Miami and I had never heard of him. He was miffed that I hadn't; it was just before he was in Capeman, Paul Simon's failed musical
many people call their dogs (and children) poopy
in dutch it is an endearment, btw. "Je bent een poepie" = you are a doll, a sweetheart.
ruby, he is a walking drugged skeleton... I would think that having children would have settled him, but seems it got worse
and I think it sounds like Ruby to her anyway, at least she doesn't act insulted
I call my children many things! just not infront of them! LOL
I like poepie!! very cute word
<--- is happy she has no idea who Marc Anthony is
I wouldn't know this Marc Anthony if I tripped over his shadow!
haha i called my son bubbala and my staff thought i was calling him a swear word
my love and I often use endearments, or words that have become endearments even though other people wouldn't think so. Nothing wrong with that.
he's a popular singer but not in my shtetl
poopsie is a cute word!
i dont like marc anthony himself but he has a lovely voice....very sexy
i thought marc anthony hung out with cleopatra
maybe she was his first wife! hahah
hi carlee
my husband and i called each other counselor as endearments
i think J Lo thought she was Cleopatra with that ghoul around
hi carlee
I will say again: easy to judge. Hard to judge fairly though... you cannot tell about a man's walk unless you have been in his shoes.
hi carlee!! :)) **hugs**
why does that NOt surprise me JMC
hey carlee :)
((MRP)) huggles
I like that, jmc :)
exactly sprite...
haha he was a cutey
we call eachother honey, sweetie, darling, babe, cutie.... and then there is the other side... won't repeat those here!
morning, carlee!
and his voice is terribly sexy...( hmmmm...that voice first thing in the morning..yeesh....)
huggles!! oh that is a cute word!! thanks carlee
when I met MA, he was just ordinary looking, not very skinny, but it is quite a while ago
and before he married J'Lo
you know uu i am liking this new computer it is noticeably faster
i don't know about her taste in men... but Ben Affleck?? wtf

a fast computer is a blessing.

good girl jmc!!! do you have your tax year at end of December?
je5/22
I think it's a small animal
i am found of my netbook carlee i think it will be great for taking notes in classes

hi esprit
I get norton antivirus free from my ISP, which is really nice - catches a lot of stuff
damn it looks liking my folding at home program didn't transfer
hi jmc
saved Frank's computer once when he accidentally clicked on a virus
and hi, esprit!
I think FaH works strictly per PC. You may have to install it anew.
esprit you icon reminds me of a photo i took in kenya of a giraffe up close and personal
i thought i would have to reinstall it but i was hoping the exec file would cross over
I loved seeing giraffes wandering around free
ok, I am going to do a tiny bit of exercise, first time in several days as I am finally feeling better. bbs.
i loved seeing them run--they always looked like they would fall over!
glad you feel better, uusue. Take care!

<---picturing Mr and Mrs Crossy dancing in the rain - how sweet - good morning everyone
Hi River
good morning riverdance...we were so excitied about the rain that we did not wear shoes and had muddy feet
only here for a few minutes - back from vacation and somehow a tornado went off on my desk
morning again, all!! We have finally cooled off a little and it is less humid to boot! Yay!
howdey sue
no rain here yet - got home from vacation and found tomato and potato plants pretty wilted and falling over.
definately cooler here but no rain yet.
I heard we hit 103 here on Friday - I was up in northern Maine on a lake so it didnt feel that warm there
the story of our late spring and summer has been: way too much rain; really hot and really dry; way too much rain. At least today it is sunny, not too hot, and not raining.
we peaked on thurs just past...47c with humidex.we are just not equipped to handle that kind of heat
we had a very rainy June and a very hot and dry July - what will
what will August bring???
and hi to river, crossy, annie, kje, and judi
boss is calling - must go - see you all later...
bye, river!
and that is about where we peaked on the heat index as well, crossy, really miserable
september is crossys favorite month here.the maples change their leaves to a rainbow of colour, the air is crips of the bay and the horizon so clear over the water you can see forever.a light sweater in the morning, tied around your waist by lunch time.my beloveds long hair dancing in the air with the wind caressing roses on her cheeks. everything is fresh again
crisp
over
wow
damn damn typos
just curious cross, but do you talk about yourself in the 3rd person in real life also
i do it here only to amuse and make people smile
late september and early october are likethat here, crossy, really nice
ah
ah, mid Arizona and my love is sweating his butt off with the sun beating upon his balding brow. His less than youthful skin baked to a breathtaking brown.
lol
saw a bunch of young ladies at work the other day.fresh of the beach, tourist fodder if you will.baked to a fine golden brown.kind of like fine english saddle lether.thought of offering them the phone number for the cancer centre now,but i am sure they will find it themselves in ten years or so
any of you ever try this cheese - bruno uusto? from finland
here my son refers to the "orange people" - the ones with the spray-on tans :-)
now those are funny as heck sue!
and i haven't, kje, but if it is cheese it must be good (IMHO of course)
cannot say that i have kje
crossy and the mrs had some tasty havarti with herbs last night:)
the cheese guy recommended it - it doesn't melt, you can grill it. Package said to try with maple syrup
a bright sunny good morning to you all :)
so I did... quite good
howdy cybernan

Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.
Any clue for ji4?

thanks
Did not get the clue. Something else?

Rhymes with what you wear to bed Nan
they do up here Molly
They might here too Flosey, I just haven't seen one in years. I kind of avoid Sears if at all possible.
that gave me 5 letters!
ah -- had to stick another consonant in there! -- ty
*!* ta boom *!* --- thank you for the help :)
will have to look for the ji 7 when we get south this winter -- have never seen any here. How do you cook them? or are they eaten raw? and what do they look like?
The sears store in the states is not the same as the one here, which used to be Simpson-Sears rather than Sears-Robuck. Much better quality merchandise than the US Sears.
can anyone tell me more about the ji 7 before I leave? guess I could always google it!
anyone want clues?
ah -- looks like and cooked like a turnip
i've always been served ji7 in a salad . . . kinda like a radish
ty une -- as I said, I will try it when I can find some.
in the States, you can buy them at Whole Foods :-)
ok . . . BBL *poof*
Don't know if there is a whole foods in Palm Desert, but lots of spanish grocers!

Way to go Glant!
congrats, Giant! Hi Babblers
well, back to the housework - happy babbling - see you all tomorrow
hi all
whoo hoo glan
and hello snuffy!
hi jmc (-:
quiet in the chat room - I hear Babble brains whirring
No whirring here...just kind of a bump, thump, bump, fisssssss.
hands Molly a can of 3 in 1 oil...
good morning everyone... had to make my raspberry jam before I dared to play Babble .
hi diane - do you have raspberry plants?
we used to have a large patch but dug them out when we built the new fence. Luckily we have friends who don't pick theirs but are willing to share in exchange for a few jars of jam ! Hi Aloy :-)
nice arrangement!
we have enough of our own though, to put on ice cream, etc.
Thunder booming, YAY, we need some rain.
clue for ji 4/10 please??
Ooo, fresh raspberry jam. Nothing better.
ji4/10...slang word for semen.
... the clue from early this morning was ... "a person who believes in j's"
I'd gladly send you some... we had rain all last week but this week looks sunnier! wish I could share the jam too
ty molly - should have seen that. :-)
and ty dos
That would not be a person who believes in j's. It would be the religion or practice of believing in j's.
... yes ... thanks Diane ... it finally got to here this morning ... watered the lawn for an hour yesterday evening ... so we naturally got six hours of rain and thunder this morning
and probably washed your car too !! ... shoulda done it sooner lol
... not me ... neighbour did though
combined efforts worked !
Hilarious comment from a nun on a TV show...Bars are like Mass...with too much wine, and everyone praying to get laid.
... you're right ... a believing in the letter j would be ji4/10 ... the person doing it would be a ji 4/9 and as that word doesn't exist ... we can assume it is a false belief
from a real nun? wow
No Aloy, a character playing a nun.
LOL.. am gullible
jire
sorry.. not a word but I'm already in the pb for raspberry _ _ _
hi again, all!
hi sue :-)
in my office, have just met with my student who is making up an incomplete from the spring semester
and hi, diane :-)
hi sue
Interesting show "The Booth At The End" on hulu.com. People come to a man who can "get things" for them and agree to do "a task" (provided by him) to get what they want. These tasks are often very difficult/illegal/immoral things. It's an interesting study about the lengths people will go to, to get what they "really want".
at
Diane, I don't think you are PB bound for words that are not playable. : )
FW.. sending me off to my chores.. thanks for the company all, see you next grid.. (-:
yay, aloy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!
was thinking of "gyre" from Jabberwocky :-)
is there raspberry ja** in the pb?
whoo hoo snuffy!
way to go, aloy ! I have to go clean up my kitchen,... be back later
twas brillig diane!
I'm sure there is, jmc, and since pb always makes me think of peanut butter, it is most appropriate :-)
:-)
Hi jmc.... and I'm off to gyre and gimble in the wabe!! byeeee
And gymble in ye wabe
Snap
our community once sang that and it was great fun.... with added sound effects done with our voices !!
community choir.... I meant to say
I would love to hear that to music.
I must see who set it to music... had to hand my music in, but I think I still have the program around !
and I think I have it on a cd too... we made several over the years.
Now I really MUST go... be back later !
bye diane

enable is mysterious

that is a nice way to put it crossy
Good day Babble buddies. I am waiting for my next patient to arrive and am caught up with chartwork.
well that is just plain stupid
hi Scrabbs
hi, scrabs
scrabby!
I second the stupidity of the Enable Dictionary editors.
actually it tells me the plural is not found in the dictionary either (if we are talking about hitmen)
IF the revamped babble EVER comes about,i hope drg feeds a few dictionaries at it
wonder when the new babble is coming out, have not heard anything in a while
I like the current babble except for enable :)
maybe it died on the design table..will have to hit dr g up for info
89 left and stuck, bbl
ha, I have 89 left too, peri :-)
hmm i have 198 left
i have 192:(
rist
oops
doesn
doesn't work, crossy :-)
then i am clear;)
if i ruled babble land i would only make a couple of changes--the first one would be a new dictionary
the second would be to limit the smallness of grids and not allow any grids under 50.
but i forgot i was leaving for lunch so will go now
throw 'em back in and let them grow, jmc?
and see you later - late lunch!
Gotta go see a soon-to-be kindergartner.
see you later too, scrabs!
woohoo, i am home!!
yay, jen!
hi Jen
i won't be driving till Friday!
sure is quiet in here
i like driving..well except when it is part of a job, like when i did courrier service:/

Oh, Crossy, I wish it would be easier for you.
Sounded like a great trip, Scrabs.
Poor Crossy.

There were many Canadians in the Adirondack Mtns--Ontario, Quebec and News Brunswick license plates seen.

And it starts like apes

No jmc, I think that was said.
thanks guys
Wow, we just had 20 solid minutes of pouring rain. I can almost hear the grass and plants breathing sighs of relief.
Lucky!
wow we only got about 5 minutes downtown i think you were hogging the rain
That should only happen here Molly
Speak to the Rain Gods JMC, it's not my area. : )

How is everyone this fine day?
Doing well Kap, and you?

Joyous and buoyant of course.

Kap is joyous and bouyant? Hmmm...
There was someone here impersonating me yesterday, whining.
we knew it all the time kap but we played along
Now that's MY kap.
What a drip.
pb kap
Cripes! I never use that word!
hahaha
he he
I think words actually get lodged in my brain after they come up in the grid...
its funny how i never use a word until it is in the grid and then i have to think of a way around it
I think it's like priming the pump.
I am such a delightful person. What's to eat in the PB?
b'day cake
I am such a delightful person. What's to eat in the PB?

oh no sorry kap if you think that! not my intent at all
I am of enormously sensitive sensibility
who is Viviene? hello all
you just got me thinking about some advice i give to soldiers about using the whine whine whine, all the time time time technique and then i got carried away
*hangs head in shame*
Vivian Alemaine is on a soap
*Pats Kap delicately and lets her know that we joke all in good fun*
*hands kap a lavender pillow*
ok, Kap, do not watch soaps
It's ok jmc, a little bit fragile today
lavender is soothing
I love lavender
soaps are an acquired taste.
what's the matter Kap?
well i will behave then kap--the la** thing i want to do is make someone feel bad
*Sprinkes sparkly feel-good pixie dust all around Kap's general vicinity*
I do watch Desparate Housewives and Greys Anatomy and I guess they are soaps too but on at night
currently i am predicting that i will be down to my final 3 words before i get nbt
what are you missing jmc, I have nbt
I'm off to the races, bbl.
bye kap hope i did not drive you away with my sillyness
i am missing the i in the la** column peri
*Hangs head in shame again. I thought we were being funny.*
im5/14 it is a plural, enable does not accept the singular. a babblet

ty peri nbt
i kept trying the singular
yay for jmc
which now works of course
so it does, it did not earlier. I am confused
ty jmc

Job transition is tough on either end.
because my staff likes me here
i think she is scared out of her mind
Ah, the staff is having a hard time cutting ties, of course.
ok, and by she you mean your replacement?
but i already told her she needs to write an appeal letter like la** week and she hasn't done anything
what is an appeal letter. to tell everyone how appealing she is :)
well i am -- in spite of appearances in the chog -- an easy going and helpful boss well liked by my employees i am happy to say
an appeal letter is a letter appealing for you to send cash! lol
oh, ok
you don't ask for cash and you don't get any
indeed, jmc
so much for the image of jack boots and whips for the employees
haha no i save them for you bubala
what kind of computer did you get, jmc?
it is actually one of the hardest thing for an exec dir to learn peri
i got a dell
Yay,I really like dells. I am on my 3rd one. did you get an all in one?
*Adds kudos for Dells. They are good machines.*
i got a laptop with nice speed
ok,
My fingers bloody with monkeying, anyone have a clue for ji 4/10?
http://tinyurl.com/3c558db
the religion of J
haha jmc
If there is a religion that starts with ji, has only four letters, and exists in this puzzle then I have never heard of it.
47left, bbl
take jmc's clue literally
I hate this grid
hate it
I got that j4 on my first pass through the grid, but only because I have a much dirtier brain
well i didn't know the slang definition until earlier today and i like my clue better
good to keep one's mind out of the gutter
I keep forgetting that this dictionary leans Brit. To the best of my knowledge no one in the US uses that word and I don't think the Brits have since Victorian days. Live and learn.
Molly... are you still around ??
any one in babbleland spend much time at wikipedia?
There is another slang word for that, popular in the U.S. I guess, and whenever I'd try to enter it in Text Twist, it would disallow it and say banned word. .... learn something new every day !!
jmc, when I go to google, I often use the wikipedia links.
Popping in to start the grid while dinner cooks. That word was fairly common while I was growing up (80's high school word).
never heard of it myself 0:-)
the "j" word?? me neither
i am looking for someone who has done some editing in wikipedia--was thinking about working on some of the articles connected with my organization
Usually abbreviated...pronounced without the last letter. Ah, jmc..you were probably in better circles than I was. :)
And diane.
some of them do need proofreading, as do many google sites.
haha no i am sure not krista i went to the school on the "wrong side" of the tracks
j 4 is common..
That brought him out of the woodwork, lol.
can I say the word to which I was referring....?? Never knew it had slangy base connotations until playing Text Twist
it's not somethin
to me it only meant saucily courageous.... the word is "spunk"
it's not something you would verbally ejaculate however
LOL
Ha, I knew that one. It's fairly common in England, I think, because Patrick thought Otis Spunkmeyer was a hilarious name (baked goods company).
bet that one has JMC sperming.. er I mean squirming..
we don't use that word as such here in Canadian slang ! My American friends said "where have you been hiding" ??
Oh dear, ruru.
ruru is being spunky..... using only MY definition of the word !!!!!
just don't condom my behaviour
and true... lots of Brits played in my Text Twist chat room... they also knew !!
Ok, corn on the cob is done. BFN. I always think of my German teacher who said the Germans view corn as hog feed. "oh well"
grrrrrrrrrroannnnnnnnnnn....
LOLOL
but sharp there, ruru
ha Ruru you missed the good chat last night after you left :P
what was that?

I've made 16 jars of raspberry jam and the last 8 just finished "pinging" me.... I can hear them from here have been counting... all sealed !!
Ty for your confidence in me, lol. Ty for clues. Usually the quickest way for me to find a word is to ask for clue then I see it. :/
Oh yum! Red or black?
*Going to Diane's house. Bringing fresh baked bread.*
it's called "ask and SEE" syndrome !
red
pick me up on the way, molly
Hey Molly... I found Jabberwocky done by my little county chorus and I ripped it to my computer. I could send it to you, however it's 4 MB in size
*Makes a note to pick up some fine wine, then Dorens, then continue to Diane's house.*
That's my favorite. I'll stow away in the trunk.
Hi Dorens
i've got the wine molly, don't be silly. you've got the bread, she's got the jam. ok, what do you have to bring krista?
Wet naps?
just thou
*Makes a note to pick up some fine wine, then Dorens, then Krista (who doesn't have to stow away in the trunk), then continue to Diane's house*
diane tonight is the book club where we'll discuss the tenderness of wolves.
crossy has feshe cheese bread and cheese curds from the farm he can bring:) and of course a bottle of bacon vodka
Oh, I get to ride up front! I saw you were reading that on Good Reads. Looks interesting. Did you like it?
I'm just about to start reading "The Help"... has anyone read it and enjoyed it ?
they are all coming to my house... i am providing the (less than fine) wine. primitivo, in fact, which goes beautifully with pizza. bruschetta pizza, the best around. only pizza worth going off my diet.
speaking of "wolves" :-)
i read it, didn't love it, but many people did
LOVED it, Diane.
I LOVED "The Help" Diane.
Movie comes out soon, you know.
yes, liked it very much krista... a very different type of "who-dunnit". we normally don't read that type in this group.
Dorens, what didn't you like about it?
Hello all...was lurking and saw "The Help", I loved it as well
great reviews... I'm sure I'll enjoy it as well.
I have to read Olive Kitteridge for Sunday. The friend who lent me the book didn't like it. We'll see.
i have led a very different life... worked in east orange for 15 years, was closely involved with a man from there.. spent lots of time in homes of "domestic workers" and know very well how they feel about white folks. perhaps that is part of it. also, just didn't feel that it was all that well written, but will make a good movie
I'll put it on my list, Dorens.
oh krista, that is the first person i have ever heard didn't love that book. thought it was one of the best ever!
also very much loved people of the book and everything else geraldine brooks every wrote, so am just beginining caleb's crossing, but don't think i'll like it as much as the others.
I did very much enjoy the last book i read though, state of wonder by ann patchett!
Oh, good to hear that. I'll start it tonight.
Molly.... did you see my post about Jabberwocky ??
Molly.... did you see my post about Jabberwocky ??

oops a double post... sorry about that
Our personal experiences certainly cast a shadow on everything, Dorens. Understanable.

what is it that everyone liked so much about the help?
Evening Babblers!
hi red
hi red
molly, krista? i am curious
love all the flower icons, I am off...
Diane...mtjtoday@yahoo.com for the Jabberwocky
Hm, I guess the sense of injustices addressed and exposed. We have all dealt with snooty people, regardless of race, so I liked that aspect. Also the historical context.
Hey Red!
Hi, My Mom loved The Help. i have not read it yet.
There were funny parts. I don't like reading dialect, though, but I understand why she used it.
got it Molly ! ... this is not one of our best but one that was fun to do ! and you said you'd like to hear those funny words set to music !
ok. i see. that does make sense. i'm not sure why i didn't like it that much, really, other than not liking the writing style that much, My friend's daughter actually lives in Jackson now, and she had fun with it for that reason
I am a sucker for a writer who builds good relationships in their story. I thought "The Help" had some great relationships built in it. The most charming was the relationship between Abeliene and May Mobley.
Love your icon, red. Makes me long for the beach, though. Haven't been yet this summer.
been hot enough in your area for the beach Krista, at least as far as my Mom reports.
got to run, folks... people coming in twenty three minutes and i'm not exactly ready. (we were supposed to meet on the beach, but it's raining, and i offered my house. now regretting the offer. later!
Bye Dorens! Have fun.
I'm also a writer by hobby, so I enjoyed the fact that Skeeter was a writer wannabe and Abeliene just wrote (her prayers) because it was in her nature.
TOO hot for the beach for me. I'd have dried up not unlike a beached whale.
It will be interesting to see how the movie is. They usually don't do books justice.
yes, I have not even been to the beach. but I have been using the pool regularly.
How far are you?
about an hour.
Nice.
Post surgery sitting to do things like drive, or sit kind of hurt after about 40 min, so I have been lazy....well not lazy, but not driving anywhere much.
It must be very hard on you, being such an active person.
It was, but now I can use the ellipitical, and run in the pool and ride the bike and do almost everything in the weights room, the only thing is no running, so its OK...
How long till running red?
2 months more of physical therapy.
Ugh. Glad you're getting back to other things though!
Oh, well that's good. I am not athletic but sitting too long drives me nuts (adhd). 4 months of bed rest when pregnant was awful.
Yes, it's been really strange.
I would think 4 mos of bedrest would be worse than this....I mean, I had to go and rehab the next day...
I'm just waiting for the pain to go away permanently...
Hope it's soon!
Me too! The whole of PT and such has made me sort of a not nice person, but I do expect to be cleared to return to work this week...finally.
That'll be great! Some return to normalcy...
yep. All good, plus, you know Tyson Gay?
No...
the fastest man in American. He recently beat Usain Bolt in the 100 Meters...
Olympic star...
it was hard, because I could only lie on my left side, and get up only to go to the bathroom...for 4 months...by the time I had the baby, I was so weak...PT made you into a grouch :)
He had the same surgery in July, so I am rehabbing along side him, but I think I scare him...
oh yes...are you buddies? ;)
why would you scare him?
He is extremely friendly, but I am extremely intimidated by him. I wonder which one of us will run first.
He is this super duper quiet guy. and I am sort of loud.
I'm guessing he will. It's what he does!
Plus, I cried once in PT recently, and he sees that as what he has to look forward to.
Yeah, me too. I can relate to the loudness!
I dunno, he is two months behind me...and Still on crutches, when I was at his point I was off the crutches...
Well running's kinda his job...I imagine he has to be super careful to make sure he gets back to 100%
yes indeed, he had a much more well known surgeon as well...
I really admire him, because of the sportsmanship he showed at the Olympics when he lost to Usain Bolt, and the fact that he is like 1.5 feet shorter than him and still beat his pants off right before the surgery.
clue for the tr8, plz?
anyway, must go get dinner...
nice to see you all...
finito!! tada!!
sorry red...phone call...good luck with your rehab!
wya to go lbd!
'way'
way to go lb... was just going to clue it and you did a "finito " !!
Congrats, lbd! Don't think I'll finish today.

I love it, peri!!
I know you do :)
a friend of mine does something similar up here and he loves it too. seems like a lot of time effort but very rewoarding
every rescue I've transported has been just sooo sweet -- it's well worth the effort -- many come from such rough early lives . . .
back for a few more, and i have been remiss,so it is now time for the much loved "crossy,s tidbit of the day!!"
The Barcolo Manufacturing Company of Buffalo, New York, started the American tradition of the office “coffee break.†In 1902 they offered free coffee to their employees in order to boost morale, as well as a few free minutes in which to enjoy it.
hey, crossy!
hey there crossy, was looking for you earlier. saw an ad for bacon scented soap!!
howdy une:))
mmm bacon soap...
it is pouring here

Well!!!! I just had a very interesting afternoon!
Do tell Sue.
The Museum of Science and Industry is looking for someone to spend a month living at the museum, and Frank decided to apply!
That's pretty cool. What are his chances?
sounds like a bit of fun indeed
unfortunately the applications were due today, and besides the written part required two 5x7 photos and a 1-minute video on DVD.
May I please have a clue for pr8-50? Thanks
So we got all that put together (after fighting with various bits of technology) and got on the road at 4 - only to run into terrible traffic on the Eisenhower (busy Chicago expressway) and didn't get to the museum until 6 (it closed at 5:30).
pr 8 an apish mr. gore
pr 8/50...pr*** donna + Grimms wrote fairy ***es
But Frank went in anyway, found a security guard who got him to the right office, where there was a box labeled "month at the museum applications", so his application is in the box!
Thanks much ruru and Molly
so now we wait and see - it is beyond a long shot but sure would be fun.
OK, now I can go back and find my last 80 words :-)
ty molly
Hope it works out Sue. Sending good mojo in your direction.
you can do it sue!!
thanks for the clue, molly.

I am applying for a lien and suing him for defamation... he had till yesterday to get court documents in and didn't submit them

hey, crossy, are you familiar with Parc Aiguebelle in Quebec?
on ya sue!
Thanks, 'm dear.
My daughter and her boyfriend left today for 8-9 camping, hiking, kayaking -- mostly in that location -- they love Quebec! :-)
sorry une ,no,i do not get out east to la belle province much
*8-9 days
8-9 camping?
ah sounds fun
belated whooo hooooo UU!!
I'll enjoy the photos -- camping is NOT my thing! LOL
this is a hard puzzle!! 87 to go
when i do,it is a case of sleep in the day at the border, get up at dusk, fuel up and drive right trough till dawn to the atlantic provinces and the coast
go Lisa!
74 left
go JMC!!
i agree une...i am not a camper either...
though old quebec city is amazing
brb
i used to love to camp. . . but i want someone to cuddle with when i do :-(
oh, I agree -- went to Quebec City YEARS ago and felt like I was back in France -- sooo charming
I used to really like camping but I am now too old to sleep on the ground...
i like hiking, but when it comes to sleeping, i want a bed and no bugs or animals near me
Hiking during the day is fun -- but at night I want a shower and a real bed LOL
i took advantage of that to collect tents from babyboomer has been campers to ship to haiti after the earthquake
i have tried camping in a cabin, in a camper, in a tent and on the bare ground...all of them sucked! lol
Lisa, except for the cabin option, I totally agree!
oh,great idea,jmc!!
it worked very well we shipped 30 tents
great idea, jmc! :-)
i had a friend who had a friend who was on the ground and saw that they got to the right people
I kinda remember you telling us about it -- wonderful thing to do, jmc
0:-)
I am going camping this weekend in a motorhome with a bed, a shower, TV, carpet, etc. lol
only camping I ever did was to get my Girl Scout merit badges!
the cabin i was in was with my youngest for cubscouts. No running water, a wood burning stove in teh middle of the room for heat and mice running around all night long! In teh middle of the night, I woke up and couldn't breathe because the smoke backed up too much in the cabin!
nice setup, seaspray
ewww Lisa
haha last time i went camping i was the only woman on a boy scout event and i was used to rougher camping than any of the men
yes, and we were in the cabin with about 30 campers, all sleepy eyed and led out into the cold in teh middle of the night...it sucked!!
I have done the tent thing when kids were little, graduated to a camper, then a motorhome...so its either the motorhome or a motel for me
ugh
when i had the boys pick wild blueberrys to one of the fathers said: how do you know they are blueberries?
i said they were blue and growing on a blueberry bush
I will go hiking all day long, explore nature...go swimming, etc...but when teh night time comes, I am going home!
lol jmc
oh, and I did spend the night on a beach in the south of France once -- was awakened at dawn by gypsies . . .
too bad lisa
lmao jmc...that is funny!!

hi all, tough grid for me today
it's tough, period!
argh me too...toughie...
ji6/7?
yes, it was a tough grid
63 left but the worst is to come
crunchy vegetable used in mexican cooking
jmc, gotta a lawyer question for you...
the j sounds like an h
a mexican root vegetable shirl
what lbd
ji6/7 is a vegie
thank you lisa
or do you want to email me for privacy?
80 :)
who is normally the executor of a will?
ty, je. i learned that root in vietnamese first, so i forget the spanish word sometimes
the person named in the will gets first dibs
whoever is so named, lbd
what is it in vietnamese?
i tried that veggie in a mexican restaurant dressed simply with lime juice, cilantro and hot sauce. It was amazing. i eat them all the time now.
hmmm, and if one isn't named?
gu cang
i loves that ji vegie
then whomever the court names but they usually look to the next of kin
okay, so it wouldn't be the lawyer
in VA, persons named in the will would share responsibility if there is a written will.
well it can be the lawyer and many people like that system
ugh, i'm hoping it's not the lawyer. he doesn't seem to think very highly of women, and he's a pompous ass too!
sometimes there is no one else and the court will appoint a random lawyer
well then a kin folk has to step up and say they will do it lbd
are you sure no one was named in the will?
okay, so my sisters and I can tell the lawyer who it will be?
if no one was name, yes you can pretty much decide and the court will defer
here's a PDF with a good summary of Montana probate, including execution of wills: http://tinyurl.com/3l5bdjh
From what I've had my sister read to me, I don't think anyone has been designated as the executor. Not since my mom died.
that person would file a petition in the court and the other sisters would sign papers agreeing to it
when did your mom die?
thanks, DC. but my dad is in Colorado. I'll be there thursday, and will be going over all the legal stuff with my sisters before I have to face the lawyer. they both refuse to talk to him
my mom died 11 years ago.
oh, fun.
so recently then I am sorry
WHAT!?!?!
thanks, 2000 wasn't a good year.
it is possible that your mom owned everything jointly with your mother and therefore there was no probate
http://www.cobar.org/index.cfm/ID/2088 1 indicates that in CO, the court appoints the 'personal representative' to administer the will.
in the alternative they owned everything in trust to avoid probate (not actually a good idea but was very popular for a while) and therefore no probate
ca6/24?
PR is the same as an executor/executrix -- just not as sexist
spanish shirt
ca + do re ** fa so l* ti do
ahhhh, PR! i think then my oldest sister is the lucky one! she'll be so happy to hear that...NOT
she is the PR for your mom?
thx for the ca
she can defer to someone else
ty for CA, une
yw
I'll need to read the will, but I think it lists her as the PR for my Dad.
mmm...im not getting the ca 6 clue :(
ca + soy paste but change the last letter to another vowel
lisa, see dawg's clue
you should look as see who is listed second and if the lawyer is any good th***
then if one of the other of you are listed the first sister can defer to the next one down the line
ty lbd
oh great, back to the peck order...i'll still probably be the one to get the honours.
it sounds more difficult than it is
well choose the sister who is good with details
I was hoping you'd be able to clarify things, and you did! (((JMC)))
with help from the DC choir! :-)
okay i have to go pack so i am quitting with 61 left
never did get the damn 9
bye, jam

ha ha...sorry

sm5=a olde tyme farrier
no 3 letter words in the grid, dawg :P
okay, you can just stand at the door. lol
i'm just close to the pb, that's all.

Opps that was ikeahacker.blogspot.com and signed by tina. Just two of my fac blogs at the moment
very cool, lady!
I love the Iea one as it is such wonderful ideas. Problem here is ikea is too damn expensive with some items like the awesome paper light
yes, some things are pretty expensive, but others are more affordable... I can only afford to shop there a couple times a year since I "save" so much money each time I go!
on the Hacker site someone coloured the paper lamp and it cost $80 USD but in aus it is $260 AUSD
I did my office/craft room with stuff from ikea. It was a christmas present from hubby. the best part was, i went the week after christmas and got wonderful sale prices.
well done, Luwanda!
Awwwwwwww Luw that is great. We just got 3 As Is chairs for $35 instead of $55 for our dinning room. One of the chairs though is slightly off centre which we can't work out
I like the "as is" section, but of course when I go with a PURPOSE it never has what I actually need.
Stid we have items on our list at the moment
THe chairs we on the list
WHat the heck is that first MA 4 please I can't see it
