she 'ran away from home'... slammed MY bedroom door in my face, went out through my back patio door and wouldn't speak to me, so I told her to stay out there. She took off to her friend's house, I get a call from the mother saying she is there and doesn't want to come home cause I don't luv her anymore. Well, that went down like a lead balloon!!
I can only assure you she will get thru these 'teen' years and come out the other side a human being, my daughter was a nightmare but she is now my best friend lol

You shouldn't need to say anything to lickety, he should be there for you, my husband backed my up all the way in front of daughter and if he didn't like what I had done or had an issue with it, he said so but after she had gone to bed... it worked fine when she realised she couldn't pit us against each other

so, we are led to this cave... it has moss and ivy growing all around it, it is dripping wet and we are told this is the way to the house
reluctantly, we go into the dark tunnel... there is no light in there... and i say "this is really scary!". They say, 'oh don't worry, it is only a short while before we get to the house'
as we proceed through the cave, it starts to get smaller and smaller and we are down to crouching space. I look back and see the light at the back of the tunnel, but no light before us
we get to the point where we are crawling on our hands and knees, I am ahead of everyone at this point.
Ahead of me is two doorways that push out to the foreshores of the harbour... and I push the doors open, to find myself in lapping water in my ankles and wrists. The view is incredible and I look to the left to see the magnificent house they have been telling us about.... we wade through the water to the house
as we enter the house and go upstairs, I look out to the right and see through the windows on the stairs a street with cars on it
I ask, 'where is that street from?', and Davis answers, 'oh, that is the street that comes to the house, but we thought we would take you through the other way'.
Mark and Davis, and his wife, go off into the house as I go looking for a bathroom, as I really need to go!

I walk through domitory style rooms and corridors, with single beds in each room... some beds have people/person alseep in them with a doona over them, no sheets, no furniture... just a bed... and all the bathrooms are filthy!!
I am left to wonder the corridors and look into open rooms (no doors are closed) seeing people sleeping or not seeing anyone in the room.
I come across an 8 year old boy and ask him 'is there a toilet I can used that isn't too dirty'?... he replies 'yes, down there is the cleanest one you will find'.
I go down to where he has pointed and find a toilet that isn't as disgusting as the others and go to the toilet.
Please don't tell us about your toilet business. Some things are best left untold.
On my way out, I get lost in the catacombs of the dorms and can't seem to find my way to Mark and Davis and his wife. I seem to be trapped. I know that they are in a section of the house that is beautiful, but I can't get there

Yes, Molly, it IS odd. they were married for a long time, and have children, but the Children already attended one funeral.

I am unsure, they are not that close, and he had primary custody, he said the whole thing was planned by her family, but I think its odd, and he did say as much as well, so I thought I'd try to stay awake til Midnight and give him a call to see how he is...
well, relationships can be complicated, too; I am very close to my ex's sisters (closer than he is) - not a control thing, we just like each other a lot. but that sounds like it's not the case with red's friend.

I was referring more to her having her own memorial service after a funeral had already taken place. I think it's nice that you're still close with your ex's sister Sue.

Well, I have thought about what I might do if my stepmother dies; I am sure her sons would have a funeral in Ann Arbor but my dad and all her friends are in NJ; having a memorial service there, where the people who had known her could celebrate her life, makes some sense to me (but it will be painful and awkward...)
I've learned through experience that everyone reacts differently to grief. What seems odd to me may seem perfectly natural to another. And so it goes.

Well, Tom ate at our friend's picnic, I had some red pepper tapenade on corn tortillas when I got home. Recovering from another allergy thing, so not very hungry. Did you have anything yummy? Chicken soup with dumplings, maybe?
Nope, went slumming and got KFC because I didn't feel like cooking.
well, that is nice and salty, too -- when I am sick I like salty food and lemonade.
Maybe it's that saline is good for a cold thing. I use the saline nasal spray when I have a cold, and gargle with salt water when I have a sore throat.
good practices -- the salt tends to disrupt the pH that the germs prefer
I think... I know that is true of bacteria anyway. Not sure if it works with viruses. Will have to ask my micro friends who are in town for the conference.
And ooo, I have been making fresh lemonade with the juicer. It's very good.
