There isn't one any more.

Troughs? Ugh.

4TH COLUMN T stats please?
I logged in too late to see that.

ty seain
ti7,36
the ti7 birds come from there, mlf
vert
[type of bird, plural]
neil yeah unfortunately you might not be able to see it if you scrolled

nbt
well, *****. There's a bat in my bedroom.
finally NBT NBS
wow, that doesn't happen every day. (I hope)
Hi Sue.
is 7/8
not for years. thought I'd sealed up the ways they were getting in.
guess I'll go change my ic**
Oh, that wasn't a word clue?
wow, you just took me back...to the night my three big brothers told their tiny little sister to pick up that dead bat in the yard, and it wasn't. Not that I was scarred or anything from that incident which occurred in late August, in the evening, 43 years ago.
You actually have a bat in your bedroom?
hi and nbt
Better get it and put it outside.
Empty plastic tub/container and some cardboard... put the container over the bat, slide the cardboard under, hold that together and take it outside... done that before.
ok, new pic is up, yes, I actually have a bat in my bedroom
afternoon all :)
window is open, eventually it will find its way outside. At least that is the hope.
hi mrp
Oh, I just typed to you on IM, Sue.
Hi mrp. :)
Oh I just put them outside... faster.
hello darling hearts **hugs**... back from a lovely lunch in the City
only long word I've found so far is the er 9 -- have no idea on the pe 10-11
Hi, mrp
hi jellen!
don't think too hard about it, nan, or it might give you a terrible stomachache and send you to the hospital
it is something to do with membrane lining... anatomy
pe11 is an infection of the pe9.
thx, griffums, that got me the 11!!
with latin ending
Infection/irritation?
yes - figured it was something like that, but don't know how to spell it
Inflammation? All three, I think.
woohooo i announce im here and that that i got the er9 right off - must be my bad thoughts lol
The medical ending for an infection.
yay, kiwi!
I did too, Kiwi... that was my FIRST word found!
GMTA maybe?
on ya kiwi! I now see it that you mentioned it!
aha -- got it!
Hi Kiwi, good to see you again
Or is that "DMTA"?
Hi flosey!
i guess its because ive been sick for the last week and havent had any snuggling in from my man - hes staying clear of me lol
hi flosey and nan :)
flosey xxxx nice to see you too
Oh no... hope you're feeling better now?
hi neil and sue et al :)
hi mrp
hi, flosey, nan, mrp!
Hi again, mrp! :)
is the pe 10 related to the 11?
Hmmm...my mind must be pure, although I did get the er 6
looks like a lot of biggies, but not really that many
I am not usually on at the flip, nice to see you all!
lol sue im not usually here at all but this is my second grid for the day lol
is this one being rated as difficult?
great to have you back kiwi!
you better stay around too!
always good to see you sue!
ill try my best :)
well, I wouldn't be here except for the damn bat, but it is nice to see everyone :-)
hi mrp -- I'm finding it difficult but then I'm half asleep
time to unpureovise the mind for the 9
jilli xxxx
hi jilli!! ((hugs)), then it must be rated difficult
dont forget the foot rash :)
oh the ti7 compound is cute!
i keep seeing flannel lol
nbt
nbt & nbs and I'm off to bed, goodnight all
night, flosey!
as soon as I saw that ending I thought there might be a lot of medical terms -- in latin of course, not english -- after all this is supposed to be an English word game!
G'night, flosey
nite flosey sweet dreams
nite flosey :)
good to seeya, kiwi!
will leave this open in case I'm up in the night
gnight flosey -- well done
no nbs for me tonight - missing an 8 and the 10 but too tired right now. Good night all :)
night, nan!
G'night, nan
ok, finally found the 9 that the 11 is an infection of - didn't realize it was plural
yes, that's the plural form.
The singular ends in 'ium'.
sue, there is a 10 in the middle of them
The 10 means pertaining to the 9.
oh, with the same root? would make sense, I suppose..
Pertaining or of it.
Yes.
ok, thx, got it
The last 4 letters are kind of like me, spelled differently.
yw, Sue.
Hey, my last name is in the grid again!
not bad for being half asleep, did I mention that I took a sleeping pill and was nicely out when the bat showed up?
Oh no, Sue.. what woke you up?
THE BAT!
I'm guessing it was the bat.
axactly half way, now off to bed
Yes, Jellen. I'm pretty sure mine will never be. My first name shows up a lot, though.
Oh, ok. They're usually not very noisy though.
my first name is in the grid :)
actually Frank woke me up and told me the bat was there
Oh, ok.
They are when they're flapping all over the place.
Mine often is, Kiwi.
Or Groovy... or GK?
I think it's like the monkeys and Shakespeare, neil, eventually everything shows up in the grid
Lol, Groovy!
not very often you see a j in the grid lol
thanks for the pe 9 & 10 explanations, neil. Now I just need a 7 and 8, lol!
I've had them in my place a couple of times... it doesn't make that much noise that it would awaken me.
too often, kiwi!
Which 7 & 8, jilli?
ti 7/36 is a nice one, jilli...
no, they are pretty quiet
well you hardly ever see Groovy in the grid but shes allways here in spirit mostly lol
In the grid or in the chog?
jellen, I'm blind to long words
ti7,36 is a type of bird, plural, jilli.
It's a compound
Ok, it's like a compound word... try a 3-letter bird with a 4-letter rodent, plural?
At least it looks like one...
I saw that before, thanks, neil, but brain isn't working
They are very cute little birds, too.
Laura just had one in her shed recently and posted a photo of it.
i always thought it was the singluar rodent not the plural lol
oh, I see -- all I could think of was the singular and there's no U here.
Not when the bird is plural.
That word means more than one of them.
I told you plural, jilli.
ok, I guess we are assuming the bat has left
I know... it's late.
Oh good, Sue. Hope so!
I do understand that, neil
?
Now I need stats for an 8, any 8.
me too
me too
Okay, maybe an easy 8
had to refresh to join chat again
lol, jellen
Hi again mrp
i would even take a crazy 8
is8
is7 and is8
ne8,45
lol, griffums!
tx all!
ne8, 45
Yes, was gonna say those next, mrp.
Already gave her that one.
re8, 45
so8, 45
Ok, gonna concentrate and try to find the last remaining 50.
and I don't have most of them.... just looking at the list
ok, got the re, maybe I will go back to bed. Hope for no bats.
i think I might put a difficult+ on this one
'night sue
sorry, it's no good just giving me stats for long words -- I'm too tired
Oh, I was getting really impressed, mrp!
*quietly slinks away*
sue, you missed my story about the Sugar Glider that ran up my husband's naked body!
gnight batless sue
night sue :) sleep well
G'night, sue...
We have a friend who has 2 sugar gliders, mrp.
jellen! nothing impressive here! just one compound :(
Named Mozart and Amadeus.
that is cute neil!
They are cute! He has the funniest photos of them.
I'll show you one after.
Hi! great icon theme!
You'll laugh... it's a photo that should go viral, it's that cute and funny!
this little SG found it's way into our home, and was on the bed... middle of the night... naked Lickety tried to catch it. It ended up trying to find a hiding place in his 'package' and he freaked out!!
haha
Ugh. Those little critters can BITE, too!
cool neil! they are very sweet little creatures
I wouldn't want one anywhere near mine, thanks!
Yes, they are... you'll love this photo.
*shaking head violently to erase the Etch-A-Sketch in my brain*
hence the 'freaked out' lickety! screamed like a little girl! LOL
Oh I'm just going to get the link to it now, because you all have to see this!
ok, the bat is NOT gone. Think I will sleep out here.
flying rodent... yeah, I wouldn't be sleeping in there either
poor sue! hope the couch is comfy!
maybe Lickety could come over and 'trap' it for you
don't have a couch
Ok, I don't know what a sugar glider is, but it sounds randy!
but Frank claims he shooed it out the window
hi melon!
cute little marsupials, melon -- I just googled them
Frank should be put on a lie detector test! :))
so I guess I will try the bed again. see if I can get back to sleep, hahahaha
melon xxxxxx ltns
OK googling a sugar glider sounds even worse! ;)
so let me try this again, see you all in the morning (or later in the morning)
haha melon!
they are very cute, just very scary when you are naked and near one!
hi GK, I've been going to bed at a reasonable hour. I must be stopped. Nice to be babbling.

My birthday buddy is Abraham Lincoln...
That's a hell of a clue, melonhead! ;)
Try giving one to a word I haven't found yet, please?
uh-oh. in the pb with a sugar glider!
I haven't checked to see who any of mine are now.
There's a lot of explicit cluing going on...
great jellen we used to get his birthday off school before they combined all the presidents
Huh, melonhead?
Oh you, yes!
penalty box, for listing a word.
not peanut butter in this case.
Yep, I know what it means... just wasn't sure who you meant at first.
I was thinking uh, what did I say now?
jilli, still here? my auntie Charlotte used to make that cake in your profile..copied it down so I can make it
yes, still here, west -- and it IS an old recipe. Good, though, and so easy.
Huh. Charles Darwin, too...
i share a birthday with truman capote

I have no clue who I share mine with yet.
going to bed. I actually need to be up in < 6 hours. nite all. [pouf!—homonym, shmononym!]
Good night, melonhead.
gnight melon
hi and bye melon
neil you share your birthday with a dear friend of mine now deceased his name was James Lawrence
Oh yeah, westford? How did you know when my birthday is?
see ya melon :))
mine is 30 Sept
I guessed
I don't know if there is a theme for that day yet??
How can you guess? It could have been any day of the year.
lots of Sept birthdays mrp
And if you just guessed, maybe you have it wrong?
must have been in the profile you sent
Actually it's in my G+ page.
mrp you can check Sprite's profile for a Sept 30 theme
Sent? I haven't sent any profile.
But it is in my G+ page.
www.famousbirthdays.com
that would be it neil I remembered because it's also my friend's b'day
Oh, I see.
thanks jellen I'm going to go see who else I share a birthday with
I do know I share my b'day with Trifioso ..haven't seen her on here in ages though
Sept 30 is a Friday so the theme will be A Word from the Grid which will be a clue -- as usual on Fridays
Angie Dickinson and Martina Hingis are also birthday buddies of mine!
I share mine with Alexa Ray Joel, Jude Law, Bryan Holland, Ed Autry, Ted Danson, Marianne Faithfull, Jon Voight, Mary Tyler Moore, Billy MItchell, Andrew Johnson and Charles Goodyear.
oh nice... it will also be a long weekend!! brilliant stuff!
that's a good list neil I'll take Jude Law..you can keep the rest
I share mine with Amelia Earhart amongst others
Haha! I don't "want" any of them.
that's pretty cool diz are you an aviatrix?
20 left.
haha West - I wish
but then she dissappeared never to be found
Yeah, might not be all it's cracked up to be.
I'm older than most of my 'buddies' except Leonard Cohen, Larry Hagman (JR Ewing) and H.G. Wells
Look up the birthdays in that site that are exactly one month after mine, westford. Haha!
groan neil lol
One month later to the day.
He made that list.
yes
I see a president too neil
Yes!
And fireworks.
good going, neil!
I'm not even halfway and too tired togo on -- goodnight all
Yay neil !!

Thanks jilli and good night... take care.
Thanks westford and Jellen!

G'night, jilli
that is pretty cool neil
I need help to get NBS..is the 11 a plural of the 10? stats please
We're 2 years and 11 months apart though. He's older.
No, the pe11,96 is an infection of the pe9,60.
thanks
Think of the medical ending for... oh, you got it? :)

thats ok - skype?
I'd have to comb my hair lol
Don't blame you there, westford.
yw...plus is + vowel + to 4/4
[for not being on FB with its lack of privacy]
i find it very private have all my setting set so only get friends seing what im doing and not having a public profile
it just seems too big
Well no, Kiwi. No matter how privately you think you've set it, it isn't. Google "view private facebook profiles" and you'll learn there are countless web pages with scripts enabling any member of the public to view the full contents of any "private" FB page.
That's what made me empty my FB page completely and not use it. I only ever joined there to connect and keep in touch with my college alumni anyway, otherwise I wouldn't have joined... they are still connected with my dead, empty page. I'm gradually getting them all moved over to Google+.
i must be doing relatively ok then because ive never been hacked ive never been bombarded by ppl or things i dont know and i dont accept friendships from ppl i dont know
ive started exploring google+ but havent got to grips with it yet
Well sure, you wouldn't have the privacy concerns that I and members of my family do, probably.
But I cannot take that risk... I need to be sure any network I use has real privacy, before I share anything in my page with my family and friends.
kiwi are there lots of ads now? seems every company is saying ..
'see us on Face Book'
Neil, what is google+? I've seen you mention it a few times these past few days.
Oh, are you on G+, Kiwi? I can show you the ropes on there if you like.
It's a new social network on Google, which is still by invitation only.
My family and friends are all connecting on there.
Oh, okay
westie companies make their own pages like any normal person has. but you dont get bombarded with the pages unless you search for the specific company and "like" their page
The rebel in me makes me want to join Facebook just to annoy... Same as I refuse to change icons because jillibus goes on about so much.
you get side bar adds like any game but they arent too imposing
hey Haz ltns xxxx
Kiwi, send an email to the address I have on profile, if you want any help with G+. It's pretty easy.
Why does the cat pick 2:16am to play?
Hello!
Because he's a cat?
noone else i know is on G+ yet so i havent learnt alot
because ti's a cat? lol
snap neil
Oh, well if you want help with it just ask.
Haha, westford.
oh well westie - send me an email to gruvie11@gmail.com and ill send you one back with all the updates and theres been a heck of a lot some good some pretty bad
thanks neil ill have a think about it
I will kiwi I have thought about you so often
still looking for those Oreos you like
hahah westie would you believe an oreo hasnt passed these lips in over a year
tell me the exact name again
Just sent you an invite on there, Kiwi. Check your Gmail for that and if you want help with it, just let me know.
it was the oreo bars wasnt it?
yes, that's it. I knew it wasn't the regular oreos
I'll keep looking
unless you'd rather I didn't..
i wouldnt make a mission out of it lol
I don't just look when I'm in a new store
may i have some help with the fe5 please

You're welcome.
oh i see hannibal le6 is visiting tonite lol
Sorry, was doing the Sudoku puzzle.
Yep, Kiwi. And more than one of him too.
we used to have a kitchen supply store with that name kiwi
i had forgotten how silly some of these words are or should i stay stupid lol
and still we play lol
how did you manage to kick the habit kiwi?
of what? oreos or babble? lol
babble
all kidding aside I find it very relaxing
actually i kicked both habits because of the love of a very special man (and im not being soppy). I live with a wonderful guy who i spend time with, who wants to spend time with me (unlike the ex who would rather have spent his time with his computer or his mistress)
I understand and how very nice for you ..you deserve him
i usually only spend an hour or so in the afternoons online til he gets home and then maybe an hour before bed
wow kiwi, sounds like your ex and my ex might be the same guy
the rest of the time we are usually doing something together
long time ago griffums weve been separated 4 1/2 years now and ive been living with my new man for the last 18 months
i have my eldest son living with us and younger son lives with his father, his fathers other half, her two kids and their new baby who is aout 18 months old now
I've had an awesome ten years without mine!
Sounds nice, Kiwi.
good morning everyone:)
life is so much better (after an 18 year marriage that should have been done for about 4 years into the marriage)
hi crossy, can't you sleep?
Good very early morning to you too, crossy!
but then its all in the past and ive moved onwards and upwards
crossy xxxxx good evening to you
nope, acid reflux being a pain tonight
Oh no... hope that improves.
Is there anything you can take for it?
something you ate that you shouldn't have?
yes neil,i have meds for it
and everything i eat is what i should not eat, that is the problem lol
sometimes you just can't resist
indeed westford
my body is telling me to go vegetarian and my minds says more meat please
I made pierogis the other night and I just knew I shouldn't sample some because it was so late..you know the rest
Oh good, hope they help.
And yes, that's the healthiest diet... I'm leaning more toward that way lately.
Oh man. I love pierogies, westford!
didn't have anything in the house so I had a nice cup of camomile tea
I often drink that late at night, westford. Love the flavor... it's very nice.
mm,perogies, what i do is boil them up in the traditional manner that pan fry them in a tad of olive oil just enough to make them crunchy
hop a plane to Maine neil and I'll give you some
these were home made crossy
Haha! I can get them here. That's a long way to go just for a meal. They'd probably be gone by the time I got there!
That's exactly how I cook them, crossy.
They go well with some sauerkraut.
and sour cream
we're not helping crossy here
my mrs loves them with sour cream
it is ok,i am full to the brim
how has your weather been crossy it's pretty cool here but at least the rain has stopped
oh,i see with have a big 11 here for todays grid
it is amazing here westford, sunny with a bit of a breeze off the bay and around 70f each day
toursists are mostly gone and we have the place to ourselves once again
very nice..enjoy it before the snow flies
Sounds perfect. On my way to Collingwood ON.
[relax, I'm kidding of course]
love what you call the tourists crossy
indeed westford,around mid october lol
indeed westford,around mid october lol
citiots

mmm i see i have the hiccups
yes lol
City idiots? I live in a city and to my knowledge, I'm not an idiot... although several crazy, ignorant women on Twitter would beg to differ, I dare say. Haha!
not you specifically, but if you see the ones we deal with, you would shake yer head as well
Have I ever been having "fun" on there over the last couple of days. Oy vey iz mir.
Oh I know about idiots, crossy. Too well.
ok whats an on7 when its at home ive never heard that one before lol
hi everyone, can I have a clue for the two very long words please
last year i have a woman in a pink beemer with michigan plates come into the station,i watched her as she went from pump to pump.finally i made it out to see if she was ok and she said .."pardon me,but where are the gas pumps that dispense in gallons?" i said "well mam,you have to drive sough for 3 hours or time travel back to 1978!"
you might get the 11 if your appendix bursts jen
south
the 9 and 10 are related
Ummm, it's sexual, Kiwi. One who practices or engages in on****m.
Look that up, so I don't have to explain it here.
hahahah thanks neil
Well I just figured some people here may not appreciate a detailed explanation of that in the chog. You never know.
Did you get my invite in your Gmail btw?
yah got the biggies phew
It's there anyway.
i did thanks
LOL just looked up the definition, no wonder Neil doesn't want to explain it here.....
Ok, cool. You're welcome.
good morning.
hi deb
got the 11 West but not the related 9 and 10
howdy deb
Oh I would, dizgrannie... I don't care, but I don't want others taking offense and complaining.
Hi debjed.
any clues out there for the long words?
same 1st 7 letters jen
yea Neil, know what you mean...me, I would just laugh it off - others maybe not
then end with 2 vowels and 2 vowels and a consonant
pe9,60 means what is infected [Latin plural] by pe11,96. And pe10,77 means pertaining to the pe9,60.
No, dizgrannie. No telling how uptight anyone else may be, so I figured it's best not to say.
thanks a lot West
deb I clued the 11 at 2:56
you're welcome jen
everyone, today is a happy day! it is exactly 5 years to the day that crossy is cancer free!!

er9,60
Well I haven't found a word in ages. I am totally clueless about the on7 and a little tired.
I think it's time to go to sleep...Bye, all!
ummm from what i understand jel its meaning is very rude
ask neil lol
westie u still there?
sure am
Hmm...neil?
Jellen - on7 is a Biblically related term for one who self-pleasures
on7,28 -- one who practises on****m [coitus interruptus]
There, you got both definitions
and thats fireworks for me :)
It isn't necessarily self-pleasuring, Griffums. It also means withdrawing prematurely... look it up.
Congrats, Kiwi!
Yay kiwi !!!
That's why I said both defintions, Neil. Look it up.
westie did you get my email addy?
Yay kiwi!
I don't need to look it up. I know the definitions.
Sorry, I missed that post.
I did. I'll send you an emai. Sounds like life is being good to you.
Then you know we gave both definitions. Why the nitpicking?
any clues for the 11 please
I'm nitpicking? Wow.

Very nice meeting you too, Kiwi!

the type of dancer?
just got the 6
that only got me 60 what about the 77 one

Aaron, the 11 is the name of the related condition.
Well, the things you learn in Babble!
end with a consonant aaron
it's kind of a racy grid Jellen!
haha
thanks
any clues for the er9,60 please
Okay, really taking off now...
bye
See you all again soon!
bye Jellen

no, just started when I said helly
hello* even, grin
I started at 5:30am...then made coffee and now I am settled in for an hour or so..found one of the nines. I think sleeping has left me for a while
I have one 8 so far. But that is normal for me, I usually spot the big ones late in the game. Sorry you cannot sleep :(
Morning ladies.
good morning to you Molly
HI Molly, good morning
We havent had an eleven in the longest time
yeah, very promising, all those big ones today
hello everybody
{{sprite}}, I've missed you
hi rubyfoo, good afternoon
{{annie}}
((ruby)) hello !
{{molly}}
starting late on this sad day
I have been playing on odd times, have been poorly. Now better.
very sad, I see the hole in downtown NY
sprite, "now better" is better
yeah, 'now better' is good :)
the hole is in my heart....
yes
I wish I knew who said this, but I thought it was a nice sentiment. "Instead of dwelling on the sadness of that terrible day, let us send out prayers and thoughts of peace."
I have decided not to go with the whole 'hate the muslims' thing. I am sad for the people who lost their lives and all those that miss them. And I am sad there isn't world peace. My prayer is that all will hold peace in their hearts.
wow Molly... we are of one mind in this then.
yes, molly and sprite, that is how I feel. But the sadness lingers
ruby, you are in the grid again
that is funny, two days in a row but with variations
I am taking that as a good sign
phantom (alas) is optimist
gm

ouch, molly
revote

Hi Sue. Clue, Annie?
woot Annie!

re8...kind of holding back, shy
and hi, uusue :)
got woken up last night about 12:30 by a bat in my bedroom, didn't get rid of it until about 2, so now I am very bleary
ty annie
TY, Annie.
wow, that breaks up your sleep quite a bit.
Bat in bedroom better than bat in belfry.
deb, that's the only 8 I have also
morning all, help with r in corner pls
I was awakened by a bat in a cabin in Montana once!
Sue, now you must consider whether the rabies vaccines should be given.
I have never been awakened by a bat, happy to say
I can clue more 8s, if you want me to
one who acts out, peri
it didn't bite me (although the cat did, grrr)
yes please
peri: one who makes unrest on the streets
actually Frank woke me up, and he was awakened by the dog leaping around the room, not the bat
tyty
is8: having an even pressure
franks, cats dogs, bats..... it gets funnier all the time:)
not seeing the 10 and 11, may I have the first letters pls
thanks sprite :)
I suppose in retrospect it was kind of funny although now I have to get dressed and out of here and i would rather sleep
pe
ne8: new, modern
pe9-10-11: related to an abdominal tissue. Biggest one is inflammation of same.
and thanks for the 8, sprite!
starts with your name pe
re8: quiet, shyish, withdrawn
ty sprite
Sue, the bat didn't bite you or wake you, but the dog and cat did. That's pretty funny.
so8: resembling the shrews. So + the poison gas, add a vowel at the end.
got the 11 but not the 10
I'm so close to that pe 10 but haven't got it...monkeys
Kaplan, add to the 9.
Oh, BO
TY for the 10 and 11!
the pe 10 ends in a man's name
the 9 is a latin plural
so8 = new word for me.
I have it- i meant BINGO

The chat and clues are flying by.
poison gas?
Annie, sprite clued it so8 at 7:25

Hi all

hi Boo
sprite, the clues were flying by...got the so 8, thanks
Hi Boo--many clues below. Check them before they're gone.
yes it all went fast! Glad you found it.
It's the 10 th anniversary of 9/11
and thanks, scrabbs for leading me in that direction
Got a 9.
yes I know
so we hear.
I've been watching CNN for the last 2 hrs. Still seems so vivid.
Yes it does
well, the dog woke Frank, who figured out that the dog was going nuts because there was a bat flying around. So he got me up, and I came out to my computer room and babbled for a while (what else to do when there's a bat?). Then Frank said that the bat was gone, so I went back in; a few minutes later the bat went out again. More babbling. Finally Frank shooed it out the window, and I went back to bed, fully awake. So I was reading a book, trying to get sleepy again, and the cat bit my wrist (have I mentioned that my cat is psychotic?). So that was my night.
Your cat is bats?
pfui uusue, quite the night!
it's funny sue!! but, i'm sorry you're tired :)
Watch for infection of bite. Cat bites can get infected within a few hrs.
the cat is batty and the bat was catty
lol, uusue2, did you get any sleep
she is indeed, kap
and I know well, scrabs, she has bitten me before, but Frank is good at these things and has been soaking it in peroxide. It looks fine right now
My rabbit nipped me when I took my hand away from petting his head and nose.
The fat cat sat on the bat.
I got about 5 hours, pab, but would love to have more.
LOL
ha, kap, the fat cat slept through the whole thing. This was the skinny cat.
may I have a clue for any 7 letter word pls so I can have nbs and nbt
I totally understand, uusue
See Sue sleep. Sue cannot sleep. See Sue get bit by the cat.
See Sue's cat go bats.
Here come the bagpipers to Ground Zero.
OMG, pabtrek, I love your bunny icon!!
fo7---type of cheese
Thanks s
pe4, one is a compound. ti7: a kind of rodents, plural
I found it when I googled bunnies last year, and it is so cute I've kept it
actually it's a bird, sprite, but it ends in a plurlal rodent
tyty, bbl
ti7 = plural for bird species
bats and bunnies. Cats and honeys.
Sunday funnies.
oh really? Lol I always thought they were rodents! with errrr... well you know, big err....
I have ti7 out front all the time, at my birdfeeders.
LOL at Sprite--I have always thought these birds were misnamed.
fo cheese?
awww they are cute! Looked up images. They have this little tuft on their heads!
thanks for the cheese. I'll put it out for the bat and the rat.
yeah debjed, but it sounds like a kind of water spouting ornamental thingy.
thanks for the cheese :)

ahh,there is the 10
and the lovely latin 9 to go with it:)
Hi ((Crossy))
((MOM))
Leslie, I am mistaken, the 11 does not play off the 10
?????
Molly, Leslie was intrigued by the 11. I said there was a pe 10 and 11 and that maybe the 11 played off the 10 but it does not
Maybe we have a different definition of "play off" Mom. : )
I was thinking along the lines of adding a "s" as my playing off of
can someone help me with the 10 and 11
a medical term for infection i believe
Luv, pe 9/60... a babbler pe**winkle + I am **** deaf + vowel
inflammation of the appendix.
pe 10/77 a babbler pe** + tatum and ryan *****
hi Dachef
ty for the correction dachef:/
that was a clue, btw, not just a random burst of medical complaints.
It's your appendix. 9 is what is effected, 10 is where I think and 11 isi med name
anbd the 9 is the latin varriant
hello hootowl

Today's theme is a celebrity you share a birthday with.

And Drew Barrymore

I am so excited football season is starting today
GO REDSKINS!!!! GO BRONCOS!!!
thanks
Yes, football season means college basketball will be starting soon.
broncos?
don't you live on the east coast?
My ex was a huge Broncos fan, it was contagious. Plus, watching Elway play football was magic.
oh..well.. John Elway.. that's another story
I'm not a big TIm Tebow fan... a little too whacky in the head
John Elway was a really great one.. he willed some great games to win them.. a great player... he carried the team on his back
I'll shut up now
getting tired of this grid, going to read the news!
I would never ask anyone to shush while they were raving about Elway. I miss watching him play.
T.Tebow is over rated! May have been a fit for college, but not for the bigs.
I agree
Orton is a much better option for them
Please remember and 911 and pray for this beautiful land we live and stand for.
where are 60 words hiding
I don't think I'll ever forget 9/11 ..
ce6?
nm
Clue for co6 please
no idea yet boo.... will look
ce6,21 -- ce + memo.
100 bill kje
co6 is like spy stuff
co6,21 -- same as the co5,12 with a vowel on the end.
co + green
Oh, did I mess that up? Wrong "co"?
thanks, nn
gm neil.. how was dinner?

If it's the co6,21 -- also co + a number spelled out.
Morning, ruru. It was great, thanks.
At least they haven't poisoned me yet. :P

I kid, I kid... they're great cooks.
I made crepes this morning kje
We're just eating a late breakfast now.
marionberry, raspberry, mint/cream crepes
mmmmmm... what kind?
what did they make neil
damn, I should have stopped by
Nobody was up too early here. Except me probably, because I've been up for the last hour, answering emails and messages on Twitter, etc.
though I had wasa with triple cream brie and fresh figs on top, so I did OK here
I'd guess your brother would be a late riser..lol
that sounds rich kje. good thing you are training
in moderation all is acceptable... 2 wasa, 2 oz cheese, 4 figs... not bad at all
eroticism is my phantom today
did't think that was ever a phantom for you, ru
well.. not personally.. but just in this grid..:)
... but watch out ... the 9/60 is there
Haha, sometimes. If he's not out very late then no... he does like to sleep in when he can. But he gets up earlier than you'd assume, because he likes to get his workout out of the way. He's been out for a run/jog and then doing weights, while I've been sitting here being lazy... putting me to shame.
mrs ru wants more crepes.. be right back
is7?
is + vowel + musical no4,4?
.. sounds like the gloves that OJ wore
ty
Yes, a brand of winter gloves.
I'm glad that thug is in jail..

Ew, I hope your dreams are better than that.
i think they mean the er9 ot the pe9 moll
hello all :)
well, it could have been the 11! ta all, bye
One would hope so KJE
o5?
Hi sadie.
on5,12 -- on + annoying pest on a dog or cat, minus last consonant?
Stuck on en6
Do you have the en7,32?
No
ah... related to the ear, should have see that
I hope it isnt' a wet dream..jw
If so it's like that, minus the last consonant. If not, then en6,21 -- en + something medi***** can cure illness.
hi negativeneil
You can just call me Neil. Much easier. ;)
well, power nap time for crossy but before i leave you ,i give you the insanely popular crossy,s tidbit of the day!!!
may I have a clue for le6 and 7 please?
The space between your pointer finger and thumb is called the purlicue.

Hannibal Le****, flosey.
thanks neil
And more than one of him.
You're welcome.
le6 - someone who speaks to groups
flosey..le...hannibal and plural
hi all
Hi Kallia.
hi nn
hi kallia
hi sadie
back to see if I can find the last 76 in 10 mins lol
don't think I will make it!
oh good luck lol
thanks neil, kj and Kallia
Hey, if people claim to find 250 in 30 minutes, why not 76 in 10? : P
6 here and even with the list is slow going
Claim to?\
if they are finding 250 in thirty minutes im way way out of my league in here lol
it is really le and ends in turer.......but oh well.
have no list, no time...do you mean you don't believe them Molly ?
smite
find, and type....goodness they must be quick
oops sorry
once you really do this for years it becomes very fast. the same words appear over and over.
well I haven't found that mkg lol
I must be thick or something
Especially if you know most of the words from doing other puzzles and playing word games all your life, yes... and have fast typing speed.
it used to take me hours and hours to get 50 words. now can do many more. but i dont do 250 in 30 minutes. also depends on grid. i did one grid myself, no list, in an hour and it was about 165 words. i was very proud.
and if you use the list and MoreWords :)
It's got more to do with what I just said than intelligence, Kallia... I'm sure you're not "thick".
ive a very fast typing speed just a very slow brain
Well I think I have an above average vocab.....I can usually do half very quickly
typing speed comes in handy when monkeying
ah do most use the list
That would takek longer, JBV... I do use the list on occasion if I'm really stuck. Usually just the tile and word stats. They really help.
I'd be more lost without those!
And just when entering words you can see, flosey.
I don't use anything but what we get here
Ugh. "take" even. Too early for accurate typing.
lists help when there are a lot of words and you have a tendency to forget to add plurals, -ing, etc.
Oh well see? you're better than me then, Kallia. :)
no Neil, I know I'm not thick....was tic
I use the list - otherwise would take too much time
Ugh this grid is mean
where are the ism words? cant find any!!!!!!!!!!
They sure do, JBV. I pull the list up if I'm really stuck. It helps immensely to see what you need to find.
and more words helps when you just don't have a word that begins with cw in your vocabulary!
true jbv
well actually I don't care if I finish or not....just like to find the words I can
ve 6, mkg
pick up a few from the chog of course!
and er7
I remember the very first few days I played - I was so in awe of people who could clue and play at the same time - I could barely follow the chat, it was flying by so fast
thanks for the ve

nope, I see it has a different definition - never knew
thanks jbv - never fails - ask for it and then find it!
I know, flosey it happens to me too, fascinating
peri-flosey
lol
ok, see you later, have fun
bfn jbv
Oh really, Kallia? There were no stats at first?
That would make it like most Boggle-type sites - main difference would be the one grid per day instead of every few minutes, I guess.
still 21 to go, think I'll go for a walk, bbs
Yes, that's true.
But on most Boggle-type sites you aren't going to find every single word in the grids, either.
Clue for er 9 please
suffix on the er6
I have a few times on 5x5 boards, 3 minute time, with few enough words - still kind of rare though
One who "practices" the er6,21.
Yes, it's not going to happen often.
Or writes about it, perhaps?
Or that too, yeah.
Ty

it's a fun one to practice
Certainly is. ;)

Of course you will Sadie. : )

Hi Nan. How nice, a new computer.
Texans are going to win the division this year
hi nan thats great gettin a new pc
I'll remind you that you said that on opening day Ru.
you do that.. they will
who's winning the Open tomorrow, ru?
I think Nadal does it..
hope so . . . Novak is just a powerhouse right now . . .
he did beat Murray ? yes?
hated to miss his match against Federer yesterday but was on the road transporting rescue pups . . .
yes
got back in time to see Rafa's last set last nite
I think Novak will be worn out a bit from Federer
yeah, but they both have all day today to "rest" . . .
say, ru, I had an interesting experience yesterday
yes?
the man I handed the four pups over to . . . was wearing a handgun in a holster on his belt!!

was reading online that in TN there are 300,000 people with handgun permits
people are NUTS
yes.. they are..
I'd never have a gun in my home
nor I
I spent 31 years as a retail manager and yes i agree people are nuts!!
altho I recently found an old wooden baseball bat in a closet -- guess I could do some damage with that LOL
i can imagine, sadie!!

Ralph Lauren Gun Nut
LOLOL!!!
:D
hi again, all! still a bit worn out from the bat adventure last night...
afterwards I was amused at what he must have thought of all my Commie Pinko bumper stickers :-)
gun nuts aren't necessarily red wingers une.. sorry to tell you
He HAD to be of the Republican persuasion . . .
you had bats, sue??
only one but it made for an exciting night
was it inside the house?
it was about 12:30 am and I was out cold; Frank woke up because the dog and cat were leaping around
then he saw the bat flying around the bedroom
OMG, my dogs would have been hiding under the bed LOL
how did it get in??
opened the windows so it could get out; he thought it had so I came back in - then about 5 minutes later it started flying around again
LOLOL!!!
dunno, une, but it's an old house (about 120 years) so there are plenty of possibilities
what an adventure!!
so I went back out again (and babbled some more), finally he did chase it out the window, and saw it leave
so I came back in and started reading in bed (since at that point it was 2 am and I was wide awake), and then the cat bit me.
need help with the first 2 ci 6's please
they're supposed to be really good for decimating the insect population . . . at least there's that :-)
ruru to7 = 2000lbs + prong of a fork
so I hear - we actually have a bat house but it is on the OUTSIDE of the house :0(
tx -- that always looks like a character from Les Miz to me :-)
ohhhh i had that happen also he was hiding in house for two days when i started up oven to make cookies he came flying out of the back and scared the daylights out of us i caught him in a towel and took outside and let go
:-)
sue LOL!
sadie, what a take-charge lady you are!!
one of my cats is kind of psychotic - that's the one that bit me (and not for the first time) - the other one is very fat, and slept through the whole thing
id spent two days tryin to catch him and he kept disappering i was determined it was me or the bat and the bat wasnt winning lol
do you have a belfry sadie?
I did that once with one who had gone to sleep on the curtains - got a pillowcase and took it outside
pleeeeeeese -- first ci 6?
nan, don't have it -- sorry
they stay in the chimneys i used to live in an old three story turn of the century house with four chimneys
sorry, nan, I don't have it either

Well, it doesn't exactly roll off your tongue Sue. : )
not that one, molly, athough there are some weird words that do :-)
oc 6, please?
Given your profession Sue, I would bet you could write an entire paragraph that would make me look up every other word.
no doubt :-)
But you are not a vocabusnob, which is one of the reasons I'm sure you are a very good teacher.
are the pe 9 & 10 related to the 11?
oc6...prefix for 8 + some people like b***led meat. And yes, the 9 and 10 are related to the 11

howdy stidmere and yaa for murphy!

true, true.
Two friends on the golf course. One of them was getting ready to swing, when he sees nearby a group of people attending a funeral. The guy stops in the middle of the swing, pulls off his hat, closes his eyes and lowers his head. His friend saids: - Oh, this is the most touching thing I have ever witnessed. You are a truly wonderful man. The other guy answers: - Well, we have been married for over 35 years.
Good afternoon all, could I have a clue for the first in7, please?
one more...
When NASA started to send astronauts in the space, they discovered that the regular pens don’t work in space because there’s no gravity. To address this problem, the government spent 12 million dollars and the scientists worked round the clock for 10 years to make a pen that would work in space, where is no gravity, holding it upside down, under water, on any surface - including glass - at any temperature - from freezing all the way to 300 degree C. The Russians used a pencil.
sorry marc need that one myself
Sorry just got it, thanks
The in is not in my list yet.
hey crossy, I have one of those pens! I love it, can do crossword puzzles in bed!
Ty crossy. I think the pencil joke is my favorite.
JBV I use a pencil.
Soodle, I just read your profile.....words to live by!
maybe it's my eyesight, but I find it difficult to see when I write in pencil
12 million dollars to do crosswords...i love it;))
i love tidbits like that..for instance, the inventor of the paper clip was paid 700 dollars for his invention and died broke
crossy, I like them too - here's one I was thinking about today: Willis Haviland Carrier (yes, the air conditioning Carrier) was also the inventor of the dehumidifer - which has been pulling gallons of water out of the air in my basement - such an amazing concept
it seems impossible, but I have to go down there every 4 or 5 hours or so and empty it out - where does all that water come from?
have en 6 and en 7 beem c;ied uet? please help
hi inge en 6 - add a spice ***namon + vowel

Hi crosshair! Congrats on 5 years of no cancer! YAY!

Congratulations inge on your fireworks! Good for you
wife just corrected me,i was initally diagnosed sept 11 2006,my second cancer was summer 2007,and my 3rd was defeated in 2009
congrats inge
it is already hazy in my mind.at the time you circle the wagons and do what must be done.once the battle isd won,you tend to move on
Well at any rate, you're cancer-free and that is what is important. I cannot believe you had it three times!
seminoma(groin and operation) lymphnoma(chemo) melenoma(on the skin of my tummy) WEAR SUNSCREEN!
the mrs and i chose my initial diagnosis date as a date for the celebration of life
kind of amazing really.i am a better person for having cancer.i know it sounds strange, but cancer strips away the garbage and crap that often drag us down in life.it causes you to toss everything overboard that is small and petty and not important to your health and to focus on healing and family.you come out of the dark when you are healed with a new sense of the wonder and gift of life and everything around you seems a little better, you laugh more, you love more and you do not sweat the small stuff..lol sorry for the ramble, but there is something important there for sharing
thanks for sharing crossy
Words that I live by:DO NOT SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF
wife laughs and says i have the verbal trotts:)
hi folks ... we agree. one of our license plates reads GRAVY ... because once you get past all the bullsh**, the rest is gravy :)

Oh.................................... .
Done in by Reagan.
and the small beauty that used to pass us by..mrs and i were up in the hills doing our scenic drive, one of those super narrow dirt roads that you almost never see anymore, the kind where the trees are allowed to grow over it in a canopy because there are no power lines overhead.we park the car and in inhale the smell of nature as in places like this, you can actually smell green.i noticed a boulder just in the trees a few feet off the road it had split in 2 and it almost look that a giant axe had parted it,the cut was so clean, and out of the ground beneath it was a small sapling about 8 inches in height.i looked at it for a few minutes and noted it was kind of a symbol in that not matter the weight of life or other problems, that with patience, strength and commitment, much in life can be overcome and we can stand in the sun again
cough..med time for crossy lol
crossy is a poet.
I be back tomorrow.

my metabolism really changed a lot between the ages of 50 and 60 and though i stopped buying potato chips, eating macaroni and cheese and fry virtually nothing, I put on twenty pounds in that decade
of course there are occasional cheats, but they really aren't too often.. It's harder at school once the holidays begin cause everyone brings in very tempting treats
that is a drag, i notive the big changes myself
I wouldn't worry at all if I looked like you!
Good evening all
hi w
I assume you've had your hormone levels checked, dorens? I put on about 15 pounds all of a sudden a couple years back. turns out it was because my progesterone was in the pits and my estrogen through the roof.
oh no? you have not seen me in a while. and i think one needs to put on a few when older, i am sagging all over
started progesterone, lost the 15 pounds, had tons more energy and generally feel way better.
my md has done various tests... don't know about hormones... wonder if that might be it. thanks for the tip
mine wasn't really sudden,, seems to have been very gradual, but i'll look into it... glad it worked like that for you jes, and I'd be delighted if i could drop 15 pounds, get tons of energy and generally feel way better!!!!
worth a try if it is that extreme
keep baking those cookies owl, and be happy! Eat pasta, pizza and big fat baked potatoes!!
an5/10 #2 please?
Pasta , pizza and big fat baked potatoes sounds like a PMS song. : )
an + anagram mexican cheer?
i cannot, i have become so weird about fat
what do you mean?
i mean, i really want a donut but u have drawn the line at them, hunks of fired grease
oh, the weight gain was over several months; i figured it was cuz bruce was cooking for me and i was just eating too much. didn't even think about it at first.
oh, ok. well that is what donuts are!! but mozzarella?
Hello wht! How are you doing? Welcome to the puzzle.
mine was pretty even over the years. that is the problem. And i wonder what on earth I was thinking when i let it go this far. Min, hello. don't ask how i am doing. welcome to the grid to you!
Hi Min. I am doing well. Was having a nice day until I started this grid.
Are the 9,10, and 11 related?
there is nothing wrong with mozzarella. what is wrong is the americanization of pizza. i have found folks who make it the old fashioned authentic way- the way fancy places make it call it margherita and charge you twice as much
is it that bad wh? i want to finish!
Yes, nef, they are.
You can have a ni 4/5 time in the Penalty Box with all of the goodies that have been put in there wht. LOL!
thanks, wht
I don't know if my brain is broken this week but it seems that we have had a week of pretty nasty grids.
you put the hoodoo on me, doren, the cookies lok whack
i am now literally laughing out loud!
Are there cookies in the PB? Yumm.
Oh man, DO NOT mess with Dorens and her hoodoo.
:P :P :P
oatmeal with chocolate chip!
(never even heard of hoodoo before)
not even the hoodoo gurus?
what can i say? i'm a barefoot country bumpkin
somehow, Dorens, that isn't the way I've pictured you through the years!
hahahahaha! a abarefoot country bumpkin who drinks haut brion?
or Creedences' born on the bayou?
see, i never did like creedence. thought all their songs sounded the same. Ken bought tickets for John Fogarty two years ago, and I said I didn't particularly want to go. I've gotten too old to want to go to a concert and deal with crowds if I don't even like the musc
Nef... how DID you picture me and why?
I was going to say Dorens, with the wine you drink, you don't qualify for a bumpkin card.
hey i am a barefoot country girl. just like my wine!!
i agree. life is too short for bad music. and i am doomed, cannot even find these words with th list
Okay, barefoot wine country girl. : )
but what qualifies as bad music is soo subjective.
clues for the first two e words pls?
i really do hate shoes molly
to you , it was bad music.
you mean en words? like california town with different last letter (which is a vowel)... it's been here before
en6,21 is a city in California. I don't know why it is in the grid.
ty and the next one pls
doesn't the er7 look like it is missing an ic in the middle?
adjective owl. i have no idea what they mean, i just remember them from before. some grey matter still works
yes.
Yes it does. But with all the er's it is a racy grid today.
ce6 pls?
where ii went snorkeling in mexico.. inland sinkholes, kind of. with caves
holy crap ther is an is 7/8?
so you say. i don't have it
is words - think gloves
ce6 = homonym for a $100 bill
great, thanks wv
you know what, i am pathetic with this grid tonight, i think it is time to quit
yeah, you just want to eat all those cookies quickly!
la la la
Dorens, I have no use for shoes either. I do have some pretty, dressy ones, but mostly, I hate wearing them.
no they are whack, they did not spread at all, and i don't like them out of the oven, i like them out of the freezer
goodness gracious, cookies are always irresistible to me when they've just come from the oven.
TO, did you defrost them before baking?
i know, but then i froze them and i love them just when they are thawed enough to bite them
shoes either look good or are comfortable... rarely do both.. but when they do i definitely buy them,.. otherwise i prefer comfort over looks at this point in my life (and really always did i think)
did you get the clue for ce6, owl?
lol i was reading a fashion blog today where the (young) author stated re shoes that "comfort is overrated, you never get a second chance to make a first impression" ty welk
that is just patently absurd.
nomolly i had the dough in the fridge and i guess it needed to soften more
see that is the difference between us. i read food blogs. i am consumed with food... even when i was a skinnymini who couldn't gain weight no matter what.. Loved reading about food. Gourmet magazine was my penthouse!
first impressions are over-rated. I need to be able to dodge when the horse throws a fit!
Ahahahaha Jes!
well i read food articles and collect recipes and cookbooks. but i do like to have a bit of trend in my wardrobe. i lov4 red so that trend is right up my alley
morning all :)
most of hat you see on msn etc are just ads,, not fashion. the fasion is whatever the store has in stock
hey prezzie
Considering the crippling shoes women wear trying to look good for men, in my next life, I am going to be a podiatrist.
((owl)) !!
i never wear shoes if i can avoid it
hi all
Hi jmc
hi wht
Clue for the oc6, please

*hands TO a hankie and a stein of beer*
i updated my icon
sick of looking at my house--i was just informed today it will be at least 7 more days until they can pour the concrete
my dog is sitting next to me on the couch, moved her paw, hit the remote, turned on the TV. She was very alarmed by this whole scenario.
I am glad you updated your ic 4/5. Now you can goto the Penalty Box jmcnrick.
to top it all off my boy totaled his truck
oh no!
*goes to pb gets a jack and sulks*
he is fine; the truck is not
why are you throwing away cookie dough, TO?
here let me por that for you
totaled his truck? how'd that happen?
ty TO
Is the boy ok?
Ru, yes I saw the Houston/Indianapolis score. Down boy, it's just week one. JMC, sorry to hear about boy's truck. Glad he is okay.
72 Temple Owl,do you still need 3rd ci6/21? I just got it. It is like last ci6/21, but ends w/a different vowel.

or7, or + ** and fro + by ***d or by sea
I just found the on7. Seems to fit right in with the er words.
well the escalade swore some how his tiny truck pushed the untouched escalade into the kia although the kia said it felt two bumps so he got the ticket
The or 7/28 is or plus the to 5/10 word 72 Temple Owl
So the kia was an idiot. My dads car was written off in a similar way
no the kia admitted there were two hits--the escalade guy lied and claim that rather than he hit the kia and boy hit him that the boy rammed him into the kia
anyway the truck is totaled
its always something
That sucks JM is he covered?
he has insurance thank heavens
jmc, there seems to be a path of destruction following you around.
and this truck has already been in a collision which is why he got it so cheap so he may as well fix it and move on
So the Kia driver caused the accident by passing improperly and your son got the ticket? What a joke.
maybe i should change my screen name to JBtfsplk
that is a lil abner reference in case you didn't know
i thought it was a faceplant into the keyboard. that seemed appropriate too.
hahaha!
I see the black cloud over your head, jmc.
Joe Btfsplk had a black cloud over his head all the time
ty min but bothof those went right by me, do you know the meaings? i tried every to4 i have
I knew, I knew. I know about Shmoos too.
well lil abner was long enough ago i felt i should explain
No one ever gets it when I mention Lower Slobbovia.

Hi, LA
tomorrow is a big day...
hey jellen!
Good for you carleekat! I wish that I had the guts to go back to school. Wish I had money to go back also.
yw
thanks minver...
What are you going to get your Bachelor's Degree in?
( i am jsut waiting for my netbok to finsih charging
finishing in cross discipline... here to teach grade 4-10 you need to have a specialty ( mine is science) but you need courses in all other disciplines..english/ math/ history etc...then to teach from grades 7-12 you need 2 disciplines... ( my second is english)
then next year i will do teachers college
ok.back for a few more.got sucked into all the 9/11 shows on the national geographic channel.but i think enough is enough for now
is my intent to start with grades 4-10 then to take a summer school course to teach 7-12... and next summer whilst i am off i will take the TESL course ( teaching english as a second language) so that i have that on my Cv as well
<----- has not had tv on for 3 days so as to avoid all 9-11 everything
i have been watership downing..and at work
<---also avoiding TV
to7?
to 7/28 word is heavy weight plus ti 4/4 word Leslie.
You only need to take 1 class to teach ESL carleekat?
thanks again min!
yw
Tesl is a 6 week learning program and 100 practical teaching hours
so i intend to take that this coming summer
so many emotions.glad i watched a few of them.it is the duty of the living to to give meaning to the sacrifices of those who died and to never forget, but also life must carry on as we show those who would unleash terror such as that that we will never bow down or give in to fear..but enough of that how is school going carlee?
school STARTS..tomorrow <gulp>
I am heading to bed...good luck tomorrow Carlee..wishing you the best
you will be fine carlee
i had an epiphamy of sort son friday when i was at campus... all those kids were not even conceived when i was last at school
G'night, River
get the schedule fixed?
thanks river..nite nite
So when you are done with school, what is it that you would like to teach, specifically, and what grade level
well..i go tthe course i wanted instead of the one they wanted me to take ( my elective)
Goodbye Riverdance! I'll see you tomorrow in the log.
science in high school
but tomorrow i have to get my schedule re-arranged so taht i can work wednesdays..and i really dont want to be at school from 9 am thurs for a 1 hour class then wait around until 7:00 for my second class that runs until 10 pm
9 hours down time in one day is a bit absurd
when i dont LIVE in london... and i do WORK in sarnia
hi carlee! :)
Hi, mrp
hi mrp {{hugs}}
you getting paniced my dear??
(((hugs))) to you too sweetie
a tad..yes...
nervous..definitely...but i wll survive this too
and good on reporting that kid...she needs serious help
thanks carlee... she is completely lost.
vo6?
i did what I could... TWICE... to protect her. and she keeps putting herself back in the situations
its heartbreaking when u find kids like that....she i would hazard to guess has been sexually abused by someone in her family or family friend
vo6/27: some resort to vio**** measures to get what they want LeslieAnn.
she is probably a nympho with the behaviour she is showing.
Turn up the vo*ume + picnic pest
very very sad
this young girl planned out a way to hurt my daughter in all this. As soon as (on the very day) I found out about the porn on her phone, she got onto maddison's facebook, befriended a boy that maddie was planning to go rockclimbing with (in a group) and seduced him.
anyway...on this note i am off to bed... i may check in in the am before heading off... this drive will likely be the death of me for the next 2 years
{{{ hugs MRP}}} maddie took the high road...
Bye carlee...I'll be thinking of you tomorrow!
best of luck carlee! you will do great!
and this kid is in the system so hopefully will get help
thanks jells
She convinced the boy that maddie was frigid and wouldn't put out like she could... and they met up... she had never met him!! Maddie had met him several times and got on well with him... Maddie has learnt a nasty lesson about best friends and boys all in one
and LA
ntie nite all
nite carlee! good luck tomorrow luvy

Thanks, LA
does he share a birthday with you min?
My cat is driving me nuts! He's into everything!
Would it be animal abuse to give him some benadryl?
Yes, unfortunately he does.Wish I shared b-day with someone else though.Slim pickings for my ic4/5 today
ti5/12? last one and my brain checked out
i share a b/day with capote... but didn't want to put his ugly mug on my profile! LOL
A ti5/12 is metal plus New England state abbreviation
You have a disti***ive accent, mrp!
yayyy fireworks
Hooray for LA!
Well,I know a lot of people like Ronald Reagan so I did it. Can't wait to find a new pic for tomorrow though.
Congratulations LeslieAnn on fireworks! Good for you
Hello all!
Hi, jilli
hi jilli!
Hello jillibus! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid.
on ya leslie :)
Lucky you jillibus! You and Enya share the same b-day
hello all.
Hi, Bugsaw
I'm glad I don't share birthdays with Rick Perry, Michele Bachmann, or Sarah Palin...most of mine I've never heard of or are boxers or Dennis Hopper, yawn.
hi bugs :)
Hi Jellen, mrp and Jilli and Minveryork
Hi Bugs!
I have not started the grid yet. Is it easy or will I run out of time?
lucky you jilli!
Well...congrats, bugs, on your birthday boy!!!
terror is almost in the grid again today...
I will check for Minveryork who is not happy about Reagan....
Bugsaw! We have the same birthdate!
Hello Bugsaw! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
bugs, I'm not even halfway but was so tired lost night and had no time today.
it is a tough grid jilli
I got that impression, mrp
I'm jealous, everyone shares birthday with cool people
hi, all! back from the 9/11 event at the local UU fellowship - it was really good
Min, you're so cool yourself you don't need backup
Hi again. Not having much luck (or time with this grid tonight
Hi, sue
hi sue :)
hi nef :)
Hi sue and nef
Hi, Nef
Minveryork, you could have posted Babe Ruth or Natalie Cole (siinger) or Axle Rose (metal head)
amazes me there is only 1 re word... and it is an 8
I will not start this grid then. Thanks for the advice to save myself some grief.
and I don't have it -- I need an 8 for nbs, too.
hi mrp (((hugs))); jilli,Bugs, JellenMin, uusue and everbody else
if I did the theme of the day, I could have put up Ralph Waldo Emerson :-)
Stay and chat, bugs -- talk to mrp about the possible ympho
And another thing crashes to the ground!
((hugs)) nef
jilli, the re word means someone who is quite shy
That would have been great, sue!
or describes such a person, I should say
re + spell it backward + dollars and ce**s
well, I like the neutron stars colliding and producing gold, too, jilli :-)
tyvm, mrp -- it's a word misused all the time when people mean either reluctant or hesitant, which drives me up the wall.
Nef!! I was wondering how you are so, how are you?
I mean, tyvm sue, duh!
yw :-)
Hello uusue2! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
Thank you jillibus! However, I am really not that cool.
Yes, sue, that about the gold was interesting too.
hi, min!
Bugsaw,I picked somebody I knew people would know the most or somebody I knew who would be known by the most people. By the way, great ic4/5 theme idea!
good lord I am bored... this laying around thing just doesn't work for me :(
I thought I had Botticelli as a birthday sharer, but it turned out that was his deathday!
5 words until halfway...trudge, trudge...
Americans should know Babe Ruth
i have 78 left... trudge trudge trudge too
mrp -- please...lying, not laying!
hm, never thot about who died on your birthday
lying, lying, lying
95 left for me but I have lost interest for the moment, rest of the evening will either be writing another lecture or (more likely) going to bed
Yes, Americans should know Babe Ruth, however, not all babblers are Americans and not all watch baseball.
i don't lay much... LOL, (poor lickety)
I had either, bugs, but Google spewed something wrong
*hadn't
hens lay eggs
sorry, but it's one of my bugs, mrp
Glad you survived the bat incident, sue.
good point Min
I have just been trudging along with 7 left since 8:11.
it is also a sexual reference jilli.
and I have to go and get supper now -- see y'all later, chickabiddies
bye jilli!
oh, thanks, jellen, hope the bats stay away in the future!
Goodbye jillibus! I'll see you tomorrow in the chat log.
bye jilli

I have all of 55 worsd found; I *hope* to get to half way tonight
(have just decided to list already since I have no chance any other way tonight)
What is the second J word? I have jo 4/9.
this grid is a right animal... !

L's Licked! 1 left
Go, Go, MIN!!! You can do it!!!!
I don't deserve to get fireworks. It took me 3 friggin hours to get all of the al4 words! Ok, 1 more word left
I am done! I have fireworks! ve6/30 was my last word
you do too deserve it, Min. I'll bet most players didn't work so hard and gave up
YAY, Min!!!! WTG!!!!
Too late to do a story, but I'll stay to give clues for a bit.I'll be here 'til 11:30 to help out w/clues if needed.
yay, min!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and if you get all the words in less than 24 hours, you definitely deserve fireworks. So there.
Thanks guys!
I totally agree with sue: less than 24 hours to solve the grid = fireworks!
Rank went from 818 to 788 from last Sunday to today
That is because I did not finish any grids during week
mine is 721, I haven't finished very many grids at all
I don't even look anymore; I was MUCH too addicted when I tried to keep my stats up
It seems like if you finish a grid, your rank doesn't go up much but if you do not finish the grid, it plummets.
whatever, I seldom look at it anyway (like once every few months)
I am the opposite.I used to not look, now I look every week. I think I should go back to not looking like you.
It's much healthier feeling
ok, I am going to write a slide or two on hydrostatic equilibrium in stars and then go to bed :-)
The last grid I finished was last Monday. I can't finish a 200+ puzzle after working all day. Most of the grids this week were over 200 words I think.Lets hope for smaller grids this week.
Goodbye uusue2! I will see you tomorrow in the chog.
they were all larger grids, Min.
niters, sue!
So I slept today until almost 1:00. Think I'll be able to go to sleep any time soon?Bad habit of mine: sleeping in late on Sundays and then going to bed very late at the start of a work week and starting week off tired.
That's the worst thing you can do to yourself, Min: try keeping your wake times regular through the week and you will feel more rested.
Could I please have a clue for the 9, 10, and 11 words so I can get NBS please?
inflammation of the stomach lining, nef
thanks,dc!
Hello again...
latin name
and variants
hello, jellen, nef, minver, sue, et al.
pe9/60 is pe5/12, but end with cross letter plus first number + vowel & the pe10 and pe11 build off the pe9
got them! NBS! Thanks to dc himself!
Hello dcseain! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
only because i live with a nurse, mind you :)
i'm alrgiht, minver, thank you. How're you this evening?
Hello Jellen! How are you doing? Welcome back to the grid. Did you finish homework already? That was fast
I'm doing well dcseain.Just got fireworks not long ago
No, my brain got tired :-P
congrats, minver :)
Oh, congrats, Min!
I wish my brain would get tired. I slept too late today
minver, you are 2 days older than me :)
Thanks dcseain and Jellen.
I met a man on FB who shares my birthday...
nifty, jellen, you'll either get on famously or quite the opposite
Supposedly our luck number is 4 so you were born on the right day.
Haven't messaged him in quite a while...He's in Australia.
there was something I read somewhere that said that in a group of 15 (or 20?) the chance of 2 people having the same b'day is pretty high
I hate having a winter birthday.Wish it was in the fall
statistically that makes sense, esp since births tend to cluster at certain times of year.
yes, Winter birthday does sometimes suck.
DH's b'day is Feb 4th
One of my best friends shares my birth date, but not year (she's a few years younger).
my sister is Feb5th, twin cousins on the 7th. great-grandma on the 9th, aunt on the 14, other great-grandma on the 12. At one point, i had a family member born on each of the first14 days in Feb.
I know siblings who have the same birthday, but they are not the same age.I haven't met anybody with my birthday yet. My Principal has same B-day as husband
Wow! That's cool dcseain. My husband's step-father's b-ay is Feb. 7th so we always celebrated it together.
*b-day
my sister was born 3 days before my 3rd birthday. Since i was 4, we had single celebration, until i was in Bosten the year we turned 24/21. We hated always sharing, but when we were far apart, it felt wrong by ourselves.
Now,I don't care if my b-day is in the winter because I don't really celebrate my birthday anymore anyway.
In my family (sibs and half sibs); we have 4 of the 7 all born on the 7th of the month; but the months vary (Aug, Sept. Nov. & Dec)
er, Boston.
7 Dec is my mom's birthday
i have a friend with a Feb birthday that throws a party each June or July for herself.
April is a big birthday month for my family.Husband is April 18th, my niece is April 15th and my nephew was born in April too, however, I don't remember the date
Ooops! I meant the 9th! And my brother, step mother and BIL all were born on May 25th
I always wanted to celebrate my birthday on my half birthday which is August 6th but I never did.
why not, Min?
ok, 4 slides written. Next subject is spectral classification which I will write tomorrow. See you all then!
When I was a little child,I asked my parents if I could and they said n. Then I forgot about it. Now I do not care because like I said, I do not celebrate anymore.
be well, sue, and i always liked spectral classification
*no
Oops! Gotta go dish up DH's meds for the week! Guess that ends my working on this grid now. Happy Babbling, Everybody!!
my birthdate is a legality, due to us observing when grandparents were in town. One year, i didn't realize til i walked into library to get a library card, and the librarian wished me a happy birthday.
til later, nef
My mom shares her birthday with Brooke Shields who was born on May 31. My Dad shares his birthday with actor Robert Redford who was born on August 18th.
Goodbye Nef! I will see you tomorrow in the chat log.
as a child, i remembered my mom's year of birth by the fact that she was born on the 7th anniversary of Pearl Harbor. since that matched the date, made the math easy. :)
Wonder what people do if they are born on Feb. 29th
one friend i have born on the 29 observes on 1 March, except in leap years, an claims to be 1/4 her age, since that's how often she has a birthday.
My niece's b-day is easy too. She was born on tax day
Never knew anyone born on Feb29th,but my dog was.
Min, my aunt was born on Feb 29, 1896 and didn't have a real birthday until she was 8 years old because there was no leap year in 1900. I think they celebrated on Feb 28.
one of my closest friends birthed her daughter on her own birthday.
28th feels more right to me for observance vs the 1st.
evening, jill
We celebrate our dog's birthday on February 28th. I do not much of a celebration. He gets an extra treat or bone that day. Dog's b-days are easy to celebrate.
indeed so, minver

Changed my Ronald Reagan ic4/5 to next ic4/5 theme
Sweet, min!
Tomorrow we are celebrating Pav3's birthday I think.
