Something weird is going on with my keyboard -- when I hit the question mark this É appears. When I want the caret this ? appears! Backward slash produces à . Forward slash gives é. HELP!!!
morning all. Control + shift, jilli
Thanks, sprite! Now I can get the things I want -- ^, ?, etc. How did you know?
Looks as if it was going all French on me
:) It is the keyboard switch. I have struggled with it myself, hence I know.
Well, I'll be jiggered. Why don't they tell us these things?
beats me. Took me ages to figure it out.
Well, I'm so glad you did, and glad you showed up here just at the right time!
:) me too!
did you see my goofy zeppelin, sprite?
I think so, yesterday
did you see we are already into the new year with the themes? Carleekat was amazing!
Maybe not, if you only think so. It was really funny, with a clothesline attached to its tail
hehehe funny
oh no -- must have a forward peek!
hey, that's great! Btw, Monday, Oct 10 is Canadian Thanksgiving this year so some of us may not be posting flowers -- probably a few maple leaves will show up
I don't mind changing, jillibus, if you like
Well, that would be nice :-)
done
It's not always Oct 10, so no need to "copy to next year" -- it's the first Monday in October.
Thanks! I'll change it in my list too.
that can also be copied to next year though
Well, It's bedtime for me -- have fun with the grid -- not tooooo many K words...and thanks again for the Ctrl + Shift tip!
good morning. What a perfect-sized grid!
morning rubyfoo :)
Hi and bye, ruby!
Bore da - good morning
bore da, Glant
I am visiting with Kallia
and the same to you, Glant
oh how nice! Tell her hi from me, please
certainly will - she's making breakfast while I babble LOL
Bye now all...have a good day...*poof
Hi Jilli
Hi Sprite
bye jilli, sleep well and yw
no I'm not!
lol duo babble
hiya Kallia
some hostess, huh?
now if I could figure out what you said, sprite, backwards, I could type letters in decent, accent-marked French!
hello again..left at the 3:00 a.m. pause to read emails
oh dear I can see problems arising......
hi west
hi west
hi there Ruby
hi west
for the moment my Fr letters are as bad as teenagers' SMS messages (we.. not quite)
hi sprite and glant and kallia and bye jilli if you're still here
I hope youtwo are having a great time!
depends on your keyboard, rubyfoo. Many keyboards have a second setting. You activate it by pressing the control key + the shift key. Same for switching back.
hi ruby, missed you yesterday
she's treating me like a slave Ruby....
we will be over the weekend - a tip to london is in the offing
some sLAVE - NO BREAKFAST YET l lol
oops, didn;lt mean to shout
if you want it,come and get it!
babble comes first, of course. Slave or no slave.

i have had 2 cups of good coffee - made it myself LOL
has anybody seen the movie Pirate Radio (or a similar name, I'm not sure what it is in English). It is one of my faves, was on las night, with Bill Nichy, Philip Seymour Hofman, Kenneth Branagh
we knew each other before - kallia introduced me to babble
I'll let Glant answer that lol
Nighy*
hang on a minute sprite I'll go make a pot
so it's all her fault LOL
oh lovely west!
no, don't think I know it, rubyfoo
that's a good friend
i'll add it to my list of films to see ruby
great names there Ruby
it is a wonderful movie IF you like rock and roll
haven't seen that film Ruby, but I look BillNighy
oh I love rock 'n' roll
Branagh and his then wife Emma Thomson were so good in Henry V
Bill Nighy is amazing but I never saw him in anything when he was young, he se**s to have sprung up "full-grown"
and she makes a small appearance in this film too, I'm not even sure it was credited
two great actors..too bad they split..
usa name = the boat that rocked
maybe it was too much ego in one household!
lol I was just thinking that
usa name = the boat that rocked
have you seen the Wallander series? He is wonderful in it!
I have and it is wonderful
it's worth renting IF you like r and r at its heyday
I didn't take to Wallender Ruby
the boat that rocked?
i didn't take to wallander either
I do, will check it out, rubyo
maybe I should have stuck with it...seemed really slow to me
it is mostly dark isn't it ?
it is one of the few series my husband likes although I find it very dark. I loved the books, however, and I think Branagh is brilliant
I never know what films/series husband will like. I'm a movie geek and will watch almost anything that doesn't have gangs and too much violence (although, I must admit that I liked The History of Violence with Viggo Mortensen)
Viggo naked!
i went to see cowboys & aliens recently and was surprised how much i enjoyed that
be still my heart
made me really jump a couple of times LOL
I've heard really good things about C&A
he looks like the boyfriend I had in the 70's....
and tiker tailor soldier spy but that wasn't as good as the BBC series of the 1970s
cowboys etc got a pretty good review in the NY Times
ooooo lol
the French one Ruby?
daniel craig half naked was pretty stunning in C & A LOL
we get film reviews from the NYT in the International Herald Tribune. I can't read Figaro with any pleasure
U> U> U> U> U> I brought coffee for everyone
ty West
west, you are a life saver, thank you
lovely wes - thanks
ty westford; I'll try not to make any more slips of the keys

ooh thanks sprite
oops
ty kalia

np, love to share
skee
duh, me
tx ruby - new one for me
lol... ruby, dear, if you want to do my grid, I can give you my password ;)
there used to be a boardwalk game named that
bad ruby! so much for multi-tasking!
with ball at the end?
boardwalk... that brings a rock 'n' roll song to mind
yes, from Rockaway!
"under the Boardwalk"?
yes!
and up on the Roof
the drifters, I think
that's right
that is music that never fails to make me feel good.
the whole movie is like that, even has "Dancing in the Streets" plus lote of Rolling Stones
I smiled through the whole thing and it was even etter the second time
me too and I heard it real time
was already checking if I could download the movie.
(typo city!)
you will love it, sprite
what's the US name again?
the boat that rocked
thanks
here they called in Good Morning England????
we just started streaming NetFlix I'll check
my son tells me about Netflix but they don't have it here
I love it
do you have to watch the movies on your computer?
no we stream them to the TV
we have AppleTV
we can watch them on our computers too
that is much too hi-tech for me
I have a DVD question for all you people across the pond
I have sent DVD's to my friend in England but she can only watch them on her computer
she doesn't have a laptop so it's sit in front of the desktop
different format, west. We have PAL here, and you have, I think NTCS or something like that.
I wish it wasn't so
that's what my son's wife said, the reason we couldn't play US DVD's on our TV
NTCS. It is a region code.
my computer will play US DVDs but only once and then mu computer wants me to change my region
too bad there isn't a converter
but VHS tapes work
they can be converted, as far as I know
John said I would need 2 DVD players
some DVD players here will play DVDs form any region - my sony one will
west, check out google, or start here: http://www.bestshareware.net/howto/con vert-between-pal-and-ntsc-formats.htm
maybe I could order them from there and have them sent directly to her
my dvd player plays everything too.
oh thanks sprite I will do that
not if you do it on the computer, ruby.
I think that would put my husband over the edge, if I spent even more time down here!
lol, you need you-time, rubyfoo.
I can't complain about that, but there are limits! hahah
(love these gerunds!)
thanks for all the info ladies it really helped
great west, and you can always email me if you have questions.
hihihi, the download of Boat that Rocked is running :D
way to go sprite
if you don't like it, I'll bake you some cookies!
I don't like it at all!
(come on, give up those cookies)
OK, name your poison!
actually, I am better at tarts, my cookies are always sort of tasty lumps
love almost all home made cookies :)
I especially love tasty lumps
with homemade jam?
me too
mmm scones with jam and cream
oh yes
is that what kallia made for breakfast?
I so want to make a biggie with the womanly fe* start... but it se5 I cannot.
no, kallias husband made crumpets with butter!
just as good !!
do you have English crumpets in the US and Canada and rance?
it's there sprite
*France
I don't know what crumpets are, actually
no, can't even get decent English muffins or pita
ok, thanks west *renewing hunt*
we have them but don't know if they're authentic..good though
Crumpets - they are stange things made by cooking a thick batter in rings in a heavy based pan - very deep holes to hold the butter
they are a love/hate thing - can't be neutral about them
sort of slightly rubbery
we have scones not crumpets
I think I would love crumpets
scones are made in a similar way to cakes - completely different to crum pets
half,m and sneaking up for a second breakfast!
YEAH I got the 10....Hi all!!
rofl ruby
hi diz
hi diz
smarty gran

I don't know the Ken Burns series. *off to google*
there are several sprite..they are documentaries
finally got the fe10 - so many owrds it could/should have been
ah I found him. I might have se4 some of his work on tv.
gj glant that one was hard
wtg Glant
gj Glant
sprite he does extraordinary work
will keep an eye out for him then, west!
mostly US subjects..Civil War, Baseball, National Parks are a few
I wish he'd give us some European history
darn, his national parks series is posted on usenet, but only for blu ray. Well, I will remember to check for him.
I don't watch any war related documentaries or movies. Baseball and the national parks look good though!
he seems to go for personal observations more than blood and gore
but I can understand your choice
F's finalized
wtg diz
I walked out of platoon and never again tried
nice, diz
ty
Hey Lickety is up again! Goodly times.
yes scouser thanks to mrp
hi scouser, yes, mrP tries to put them up when and if she can.
I wish I had done the same sprite
Thanks mrp if you are there.
I can imagine, west. War in all its brutality and cruelty is pure horror. For me, it can never be amusement, and I don't need to be educated about it any more... I will promote peace.
you'd think we would learn from our mistakes
I don't even like the news anymore
yes, you'd think so :( Se5 fighting and war are part of humanity. Children fight in play grounds. Grownups fight at home and at work. And countries fight wars.
it's all about real estate
or about diverting attention from problems in the home country... power play...
you said it
I cannot watch the news. I cannot become numb to the suffering, like many do. And I don't want to add more negativity to it either. So I try to solve things at home without fights... and send my prayers for those who suffer.
has the movie downloaded yet sprite?
almost :) Something nice for tonight!
that's what I was thinking
good actors and happy mu5/16
*hugs west*
hugs back sprite
ah thank you, hugs are good
you bet..I can always use them
same here. Hugs are undervaluated! :) Though not on babble. Nor with my love.
I have 2 minutes to get up to bed..don't want to repeat yesterday..when I finally got to sleep I slept the day away
we are both lucky women
ifyou need it, it is the way to go, but I can imagine you don't want to sleep through the day.
46 years and counting and he's the love of my life
yes we are :D
good night sweet people and *poof*
oh west, that is wonderful. For us it is 17 years, 15 married. A long way to go to get where you two are, but I trust we will, if we will live that long.
good night west, sweet dreams
hey Beau, how are you today?
beau? Still there?
Good morning all.
morning Sally
Ooh, a big grid. Not sure I will have time to do this one.
oh that would be a shame, Sally, it is a good one!
However, you'll be pleased to know that I have started with 4 K words, Sprite :-)
woweeeee Sally!
I know how you love them so much.
I have to admit, today they were not hard.
just try an s or gerund ending on all small words....LOL just found heaps of words ...
rewarding, isn't it Diz :)
sally, postcrossing is really going well. Even received another postcard. I like it so far :)
LOL yep, Sprite
Oh great sprite, I'm so glad you like it.
I sure do. Thanks for the pointer :D
How many cards have you had so far?
two so far. One from Holland, one from the US
oh no, sorry, only one. From the US. The dutch one I sent myself.
I think it gets quicker the longer you are a member. The person who put me on to them sometimes gets 5 in a day!
lol, you aren't supposed to send them to yourself :-)
sounds like so much fun :D Lol no, I sent it to another dutch gal.
:-) I knew that really.
I have just asked for a new addy, just picked out the card. It is lovely. I went crazy and ordered a lot of postcards. I don't even need to leave home to buy a card. Just to post them ;)
one person was so happy with his card, he will sent me one back, outside the system.
I have a little tin someone gave me where I keep a selection of cards and a few stamps. Here we have two levels of postage: Europe and not Europe, so I only need two values of stamp.
fireflies! Very ni4 grid today. Not bad for a biggie.
How nice someone will send one back. And congrats on the fireflies.
oh that is convenient. We have 3: national, europe and world.
Oh, sorry to mislead you. Of course we have a lower postage for UK, but I am not sending to UK.
But at one time it was different for each non-Europe country.
yes indeed. I sometimes have to check whether a country is considered Europe or World. It is not fully consistent. You know what I like best? Picking out the best card for someone. Like now, someone likes cards of the ocean and card of children... I have a card of children playing on the beach.
Yes, I like that too. I had one person who wanted pictures of cheese (!) and I went to a local cheese shop in Ludlow and they had just such a card, all about cheese making.
oh perfect!
Each to his own :-)
hmz this lady says cards will reach her sooner and better if I write the address in russian. Lol!
Oh you can print the address right from the site, sprite, and I have done that with a Chinese one and stuck it on the card. In fact if you copy and paste you can put it right onto a sticky address lavel. Russian cards seem to take a long time.
oh I am crazy enough to try :)
With the Chinese one, I printed both addresses and stuck them on the card.
I mean both the Chinese characters and the Roman ones.
(I assumed it was the address and I hadn't ordered a take-away!)
hahahaha!
I think she should have supplied her addy in russian... in cyrillic anyway. It is pretty hard to guess what it should be.
Oh you mean she hadn't? That would be impossible.
As I said I was able to just copy and paste.
I wish. A bit silly, actually, to want it and not provide it.
Crazy. I haven't come across one of those. I had one where they actually asked for an envelope to ensure the card arrived - I think that was South America.
ah that I can understand. Well, found a site with a converter and now that site does not work... I think I will use the addy she gave... in roman :D
Do you have a Russian character set on your PC? You could always type it in that, but put it in the roman as well.
yeah I think I have. Well, we'll see if this will reach Belarus or not :D
ok done, I am off for today. *hugs for Sally* Bye all, have a good day/night.
Bye sprite, only half way here.
Well, for anyone lurking I have 125 and will give it a break for now and come back later.
evening all

This grid is all about affixes
down to 73...lots of affixes
I'm a newie, and pretty rubbish at this! Been here 10 mins and only have 63...
top tips anyone?
keep at it, beth! it gets easier with time
always look for -er, -ing, -est, -iest, -ies, and plural endings
I hope so. Its a lovely principle, just poor in practice so far..
and past tense too, but not i this one so much
oh, cool, will do thank you
do you know about the clues
clues?
when you get stuck and can't go further, there is a link under the grid called lickety's babble clues... gives first 2 letters, umber of letters, and poit value - ex: st8/45
ooh, ok. Will wait til I'm completely out of ideas. Thanks for that.
iest and est are proving useful already!
if it hasn't been updated on a give day, just ask in the log if anyone else has posted a list and someone will direct you
down to 64 and must get up and ready for the day.
welcome to babble, beth! hope you enjoy it!

Good morning, Babblephiles!~
howdy judi:)
There is no justice in it lol
is it not wonderful judi? there is no such thing as a babble addiction or obsession as long as there is a whole room full of us:)))
Too true, Crossy. That just makes us a room full of enablers.
:)
em7,40 any clues?
Em7: bad acting?
overacting, perhaps?
here i shall enable with a 10 then fe 10 /98 = the actions or articles of a woman that make her so

rastapopolous - I love your name and icon! I was just reading a Tintin to my niece last night
ic 6/21 when a road is the most slippery with frozen water
Thanks! I can't wait for the movie, and more Americans will be familiar with him
My sister saw a trailer for the movie and didn't think much of it. The problem with Tintin is that they'll never be able to get the voices right
there's a special Tintin edition of Mille Borne coming out any day now, I plan on getting several
Oh, yes, there's a kerfuffle already that the captain will have a Scots accent, and everyone knows he's Cornish lol
Have you ever been to Belgium?
They have Tintin shops that made me cry with joy as a kid
(and would probably make my purse cry as an adult)
No - just recently to France, my dd lives there. One of these visits I'll get there. She's been, seen the statue
Good luck - live the dream :)
ni 8/45 compound ni 4/5+ ic 4/5

and don't forget m4/4 lunar...

got thant am not totally losing it
vanilla - was looking at your profile - primary special ed - you must be a saint!!
with flaws lol
loved my work taught in the lower grades for years
I have 7yr old grandson with ADD or is ADHD - 1 hour with him is exhausting
tried the high school hated it
is he on retilin?
yes and at special ed school and doing quite well - started in in mainstream school and poor kid was miserable
if he's properly diagnosed he should be on medication for all concerned
his meds are well controlled - wish his mom would control his diet as strictly - but lousy appetite and she feels just getting him to eat is enough effort
had a boy in year 1 climbing the walls, hitting kids not learning, went on med and was a different boy all round, very intelligent and artistic
diet is most important
has he been tested for aspergers?
what kind of diet vanilla
not an expert but the add doc will prescribe control sugar, salt, generally et what is healthy
caffine, sugars, carbs, b complex, can add to add adhd symptoms.
with my son it was the red food colorings
Sugar was a theory here in the States, but I don't know if currently it is so
they can test them for all kinds of allergies
but we found the most important to be the medication, it is not aaddictive but effective
we have a friend in his thirties, still on medication
I take Ritalin and i'm 65. It really help my focus and concentration
good for you
wow.. finally finished the m's.. brutal
bottom o?
just working on them
on4/5 bichon
3 to go
ty movie
sorry telephone call - aspergers - not as far as i know and here lots of adults or ritalin - i think a lot fell through the cracks as kids
I was diagnosed with Asperger's at the age of 21, and it felt like a great weight had been lifted as far as my social and jobseeking problems were concerned
sometimes if its mild aspergers they don't pick it up
there are several Asperger children in my granddaughter's pre-school
sk7/52 is a bogus plural.
happens more often movieman good that its helping you now
I was unlucky in that Asperger's wasn't picked up as easily as it is today
Plus I was diagnosed by Simon Baron-Cohen, who happens to be Sacha's cousin
How can Aspergers be treated, if at all
reading back ursh,my son has adhd and odd and he is 18 now and it has been a wild ride!
was he diagnosed early crossy
we went the whole route trying to get meds that would help him and not the school system
yup crossy - daughter is a single mom and sometimes the ride is certainly wild - but she does OK and is quite patient
he was diagnosed at 4
It's a continuum disorder- as are most disorders.
add is harder to detect
depends on the severity of the aspergers as to how to assist the person in life skills.
ritalin is the worst for these children,we got him off of that as fast as possible and tried dexidrine, and now he is using adderal..problem with ritalin is it is all released at once and not time released and is hard on the appetite and the kidneys
add is very hard to diagnose. could be nature or nurture, could be 100 other things causing the distraction. anxiety, of any degree can set off the symptoms but not necessarily be the cause
Ritalin now can be prescribed as slow release. But it is not generic, therefore, a lot more costly
spectrum...continuum- depends where the clinician wants to draw the line. Baron-Cohen has an interesting scale to measure tendencies to what we now label as autistic. I came up a 7 out of a possible 29- my brother came up a 22. He doesn't officially have aspergers... See if you can find his scale by googling.
can it? was not slow release back when he was first diagnose..nasty stuff
lol the 30 tabs of adderal is 120 dollars
I haven't had a problem with it. I only take it in the morning and early afternoon. I can read during those hours
but he is healthy now and growing like a week and can focus on tasks(but one at a time of course)
weed
some fine motor skill issues but he seems to be a savant in mechanics of all things
the school put him in advanced classes for it this year
I'm glad it has worked out crossy.
was a long grind, but he is finding his path in life
Lots of kids come to college with Adderal and share with their friends
that started to happen at our school and from there the nurse gets all medication
Adderal is considered quite helpful at exam time
we dispense his meds,he will not sell them on my watch
anyways,store run,brb..poink!
Just taken the Baron-Cohen test.....score 44
Luc's teacher dispenses his Ritalin - she only has 6 or 7 kids in her class
finito
mmmm..... leftover chucnky veggie and beef stew for lunch...

think i'm going to try and make butternut squash soup. never had it, but it sounds good
it's easy and delicious
I've made winter squash soup before. It's delicious. I'm jealous. I'm having yoghurt and some bread for lunch.
i already have the squash cooked so it's just puree-ing it and adding some stock. what do you put in yours ru?
I'll have to get some squash at the store
i need to keep the soup low fat for hubz diet, but also need something warm and comforting for a rainy day.
lbd, i have a recipe somewhere for some. it is very simple, quite healthy, and totally tasty!
just looked up a few recipes, they look easy and i'm off to try my hand at one. bbl with the review.
hrm. cant seem to find the recipe, but basically, chop up a bunch of butternut squash, carrots, onions, and apples. throw it in a pot with enough stock and water to cover the veggies (but no more than that). boil for about 10-20 minutes (however long it takes for veggies to get tender) and then blend it all up.
since your squash is already cooked, maybe leave it out and add it in when everything else is cooked up
wow finally fireworks
so have a good day/night all its 12.40 am time for the bedsheets
congrats vanilla
hi all
Good afternoon Babbleland
Eva, there is a redcipe for black bean and avocado salad in my profile. It is quite good.

got the NBT; now working on the NBS (wondering how long I should let my grandson sleep now; he normally doesn't nap and this is a 2 hour nap so far. He's 2 1/2 and I believe in naps but he and his mother don't; he's just worn out from his cold I think.
how can a parent not believe in naps. I love naps
he probably is not feeling well and needs the sleep
she wants him to sleep in in the AM (so she can after she's been up til all hours of the night)
oh
I just erased a long rant about that; count your blessings....

i just heard this click click click noise. I couldn't work it out. damn cat
claws on the floor?
Nope. Butt on the laptop mo>>>
haha
ahh the ole sphincter typing method
my cat trys that
I'm clipping claws today. I have three out of four feet done.
If we are to clip their claws I pay the vet $10 a cat. I like my hands
i wait until mine is half asleep and relaxed then get the claws
Lucius is too strong and Pandora I can do but it is easier for the vet.
this is their first clipping. went pretty well. with previous cats I would practically sit on them. This time I was very gentle.
I prefer to remain scratch free
my cat can keep her claws
same here herin. only way we can control Merp is to hurt him and the whole thing becomes traumatic and bloody for all of us. At the vets he goes limp and it take 2 minutes. Go figure
he is velcro cat right now
Clipping them doesn't hurt them. And they are inside cats. Eva how is merp
very well but ornery. Nothing new. Try explaining to Merp that it doesn't hurt him!
eva!!!!
hi wild!!!!
how are you?
hi eva
hi jm
incredibly busy. how are you? and how is merp?
and hi mab
I have a female cat named Miep.
I am good. Missed seeing you eva
miep and merp
Good evening Babblers
I had a velcro cat this morning.
how is the new grandchild wild?
hi wht
he is wonderful
evening wht
sorry i have not emailed you--just too tired
is that whatis keeping you so busy?
mine is bastet -- Egyptian goddess of fertility, she was preggers when i got her
hi wht and everybody. i'm so bad at greetings.
no school is wild this year
hi mab
I miss my kitty
why?
hi eva, wild, wht, mab, et.al
of course you do. you need another one to round out your menagerie
hi lbd
I do sometimes wish I had little Merplets, but could never justify bringing more kittens into the world when there are so many who need adoption
a tip for those who clip kittys claws at home..you know those big black metal clips you buy at office store that are used to hold 20 or more pages together?..you clip that to the cats scruff and they go lip with the momma carrying reflex and you can cut claws at your leisure
awwwww. Kittens are so cute but I am a sucker for the larger non baby kitty
i feel the same way about my cat--she is so wonderful i want to share her--but i had her fixed a long time ago and that was the right thing to do
I can't believe that would work with Merp cross, but the image is funny enough that I just have to try it
limp
i saw that on youtube, crossy, haven't tried it on mine yet
want to come across the border and give it a try crossy?
both our cats submit to claw trims without it
my last cat did, but Merp has always been rather paranoid and hypervigilant
Cross I couldn't do that
100 left and i am heading to bed
night all
Hi kids. I have to clip my bunnies' nails.
tc jmc
that's what I'm hoping for - fuss free clipping. but as I said, I have one paw to go.
scwabby!
Sleep well, JE
bunnies don't bite and go for the jugular do they?
night jmc
scrabby,are those cortosteriod shots painful?
Night JM
Some of mi4 have. I have the scars to prove it. I place them on the bathroom counter or hold them like a baby with the belly up.
Into joints?
yup..my kneee..bursitis
Scrabbler hello. One of my friends wants to adopt a bunny but she needs to think were she is moving too
obviously I don't know much about bunny behavior
hi all
howdy carlee;))
hi carleeee
<waving from behind an isolation tent so no one gets my flu bug>
Bunnies have personalities. Some are calm, some are anxious. They are sociable and smart. Mine have always been litter box trained.
hey crossy.... mab
hi carlee. is it really the flu or some random virus?
poor carlee...a nice hot cup of hard cider for you with a cinnamon stick
Yuk, kat. A cold, the GI bug or real flu?
Are you getting a steroid shot, crossy?
seems a bit early for the flu
well... sinus thing... sore throat... headache and i hurt ALL over and i have gone through 1 box of kleezex today from sneezing
9 sipping green tea...and am on cold fx )
Scrabbler one of our States has banned bunnies and ferrets.
sounds like flu to me
Did you just start?
seems i may be,thing is all crunchy and hot and swollen, says it is repetative motion caused
Hello, just trying to find words while our dinner simmers. Sorry carlee is not up to tossing pompoms (not that I need them with a big 83 words.)
not likely to be the fu. Flu usually doesn't have much in the way of nasal stuff-more dry cough and fever
Why, Herin? Because of myxo?
Hi stidgmere
yeap...woke up this am with it..took my 6 cold fx tabs today...
still sounds utterly miserable.
i may not toss..i will wave tho
some mistyjack carlee?
its the sore body all over that is leading me to believe is flu
green tea... and halls vit c
a clue for the fe7 please.
Are those zinc tabs? I use those and Echinacea. You'll be better in a few days, sooner if you are lucky. Everyone up north here should take 5000 IU/day of vitamin D3!! Immune booster!
ahh the kind where you would not be suprised to fine that your eyelashes are bleeding as well
Very wise adaptation, carlee. We are looking out of our window on the world and seeing very menacing clouds and the wind is rising. Good time for some of that cider you seem to be needing.
Yes Scrabbler because our domestic rabbits have an immunity
Hi Stidgmere. Is that your puppy?
no....is not zinc... is...hol don will get bottle
Hugs Carlee
Yes, that is Murphy, who is really the ruler of our household. He is going to be a year old on Halloween!
fresh ginger tea is wonderfully soothing carlee
Awwwww
each capsule is certified to contain 300 mg of CVT-E002 and proprietary chem bio print product containing more than 80% poly-furanosyl-pyranosyl-saccharides extracted from north american ginseng root
we were having our physicals yesterday and they jabbed us all with tetanus boosters:/
Yes, we are lucky to have been selected by this puppy.
My neighbour just adopted a pure breed Boxer. 16 months old. Has nearly all of his tail
but i will say....it seems to shorten the length of time u have bugs
so ..if i just chew on ginsing instead...?
time for bed. Good to "see" you all.

night eva
gn eva
did i spell eva right? lol
ill take that stuff for memory perhaps..if i can remember what it is called
Crossy + Kat, I was in Niagara-n-the-Lake Tuesday. We kayaked a bit and walked around. It is such a beautiful place, with a very European feel.
i've known a few people who've had hydrocortisone injections to swollen joints and swear by them, crossy. it is a temporary solution however.
i just seems to work...
it is a lovely little town
Night Eva
nice indeed scrabbs..you must haul your kayak up my neck of the woods next year
mm..so i must stop the self abouse is what you are saying mab
( I have to get healthy...i go camping next weekend)
abuse
I told my friend about you and where you live, so she agrees that we must make a trip.
u would love the muskokas scrabs
fe7? did i miss the clue?
camping? Eeeeek!
Give me forests, rivers and lakes and I am happy!
i am right on georgian bay scrabbs and you can kayak the nottawasaga
camping ROCKS...i love camping
ahh for the muskokas i would take her in the island regions or up the trent severn
My neighbours went away this weekend. No puppy for me
Sounds wonderful, crossy!
crossy! sounds a bit improper.
we have a outdoors group that you can hook up with and plop your ride in the water and they show you all the best spots
4-4.5 hr drive for us, so closer than the Adirondack Mtns.
what is improper?
muskokas?
I'll do whatever crossy says.
why is that improper..it is a beautiful area
muskokas are an area ...
it's just that what you said is so foreign to me
yes?
it is where we(the vacation area people) go to vacation
like caves?
i grew up summering in the muskokas...a little place called Go Home bay ( off of go home lake and go home river)
no... a series of small islands ... if u have ever seen the artwork by the group of 7..the muskokas are featured
Slightly side topic. Who here remembers 80's dresses with poofy sleaves?
Lake Simcoe would be nice to paddle in too.
it does sound lovely. It's the sleeping outdoors that scares me to pieces.
shoulder pads.. high waisted slacks
sleeping outdoors is wonderful... sleep like a baby
poor mab..crossy would protect you
rabid wild animals.
Sans shoulderpads but they are back her. ERRK Outside = bugs. I do love the sound of camping though
as long as when you are in the algonquin park, you tie you food up in a tree, why the bears and the wolves pretty much leave you alone:))))
http://www.traveltomuskoka.com/
rarely a rabid animal... the odd rattle snake especially if is a dry summer.. and racoons and bears...and wolves and cayottes
and funny enough, our indiginous rattler is rare and thus protected, you may not kill it
its too cold for bugs now herin...
( but i have killed one crossy)
it is the massaga rattler..bad carlee
it was one fo those dry summers
i stayed in a sort of bamboo hut in zimbabwe in the bush for a couple of weeks and that was amazing.
massasaga*
and it was the snake or the kids...and i had a paddle
massassauga*
mab, different critters there
well, they make good eating if you have to carlee
ty carlee
i have the rattle somewhere
no problem crossy :p
emoting
Free Clue Friday!
you behead them and gut them much like a fish, then cut the meat in 2 inch cubes, batter it up and fry in butter...yummers
yaa for scrabby
it came around the kids...i harnessed it ( in a noose) and i took it back to centre of island ( after i smacked it with a paddle..was cut
*puke, puke, puke*
lol,sorry scrabby
then... 3 days later..it was back... i thought u bastard..u are not hanging about where there are smalll kids....and i beheaded it with the canoe paddle
I cannot fathom eating a snake.
ok,reader is charged, this grid has kicked my butt and a excellent book awaits me,so i shall bid you all a goodnight
its meat...hungry...meat....fine
Come to Aus were most critters try and kill you :D
well..the rattler is dangerous herin..up there we had antivenom at cottages..everyone knew where it was....in the club...and it moved every coupld weeks depending upon who was at their cottage
now the aussies know about cooking and eating critters!..some of the stuff they get is still wiggling on the way down the hatch lol
and we had bears...
goodnight everyone:)
and bears would break into cottagers
poink!
cottages
night night crossy
yikes. carlee, queen of the wilds.
night crossy
just common sense mab

Night Night Carlee
I can't believe smoot is not in Enable.
I am going. Laters,
night herin
later herin. smoot?
It is a unit of measure. The Mass Ave bridge between Cambridge and Boston is marked in smoots.
well that's a good one. must work into conversations.
fe7?
Many years ago, some members of a fraternity at MIT were drinking and they took one of their members, a certain Fred Smoot, if I remember the first name correctly, and they picked him up and used him as a measuing rod to measure the bridge.
I think the bridge is something like 360 smoots and an ear.
ha ha - I love that!
Every year the fraternity goes out and repaint the lines on the bridge at every 10 smoots.
fe --blacks and hispanics are ***orit**s
does fred have to be there?
I don't think so. His son attended MIT a number of years ago, and kept a decidedly low profile. Or so I hear.
