the video came at a great time .. my daughter and grand-daughter are here visiting. dad is home, back east ... contemplating another kitten to their familty
ah - we brought a second adult cat into our house, not a great success although they have both survived
i've always had cats, have really never had a problem with newcomers. even the dogs never seem to mind (except for the border collie, who thinks it's his job to stalk and herd them)
we tried to do the "introduce the new cat gradually" thing
but the new cat opened the door to her room and got out about an hour after we got her, and disappeared into the basement
came out when she was good and ready, meanwhile the old cat took umbrage and still hasn't gotten over it
they coexist but are not exactly friends
same thing happens with children, sue ... they'll either adjust or they won't *lol*
the dog (who is newer to the household than either cat) doesn't mind them but then she weighs about 70 pounds :-)

my oldest is 30 and probably still resents the two life-intruders who are her sisters ... truth be told, the kids are close. i was "one of those" mothers who insisted that they do things together and pounded it into their heads that friends may come and go, but sisters are stuck together until the bitter end :)

My best friend, who was my my ma5/12 of honor, tried to ca 4/5 me down. She always tries to ca 4/6 me down when I get nervous.But this time it didn't work. Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong.Husband and I tied the kn 4/8 in Co4/5ecticut. I thought it was going to be a ne4/4 ceremony, but it wasn't. I had 3 bridesmaids who wore beautiful ma6/21 dresses.Unfortunately,it rained during the ceremony.Everybody had to get cr 4/6med inside a banquet room for the ceremony. My hair got wet and became la 4/8. My husband, Ma4/5, and I tried dancing to Ma 4/6 Anthony cr 5/12ing "I Need You",but I was miserable.During the reception, I ro4/5ed around greeting guests,trying not to cry. I so wanted to run out of the room & sl 4/5 the door. I finally sl 5/18 out of reception before it even ended Later on, my hubby reprimanded me in a nasty to4/4 for leaving reception early. So I reto4/4ed back "and you did not even come to check on me to see if I was ok!"If I'd been sm5/12,I never would have planned an outdoor wedding.I blame the disastrous events of my wedding as the ro 4/4 of all the problems that I have now with hubby.Can hear hubby ne4/5by waiting for computer. two and a half days, Min -- the full days were for people at the local school. LOVED (nearly) every minute!
I am glad to not be in school anymore taking classes, but glad to be in school as a teacher.
I have a day lined up for next week already, too.
and then the next week I am going to visit some cousins in California, and a great aunt. Mother and I are leaving the "menfolk" behind and braving the perils of travel (hot tubs, room service...) alone! :-D
What grades did you sub for?Subbing is good because it gives you a chance to teach all different grades.
I did a primary-grade resource room for the half day, then intermediate grades for the full days.
Are there babblers in CA you could visit while you are out there? I think that negativeneil lives in California

I am glad it is at least interesting, jmc. Tiring goes with the territory of learning, I am afraid. In fact, on Thursday I went to sleep at 6 or 7 pm and didn't wake up until about 8 Friday morning! LOL just learning how to cope with other teachers' lesson plans and schedules is enough
i think what is most tiring is the driving down to harrisonburg and then driving the hour to school each day

i can only do this because it is 3-4 days a week and not for all year and only for 2 years max
I refuse to drive more than about 45 minutes to teach, and that is in schools I know the administrators/teachers. My first student teaching was so horrible, and the commute so long, that I am just not willing to put my health at risk again.
