They have since moved to a larger house about 1/2 hour away; but I'm still Gramma to them! :-) (My own grandson is just 2 1/2 and there won't be another child I was informed

Riverdance, I LOVE French Silk Pie! Eat it every year for Thanksgiving dessert. It is a pain to make though

Riverdance, I just posted a Tiramisu recipe in profile.
I have the proud mama look....my son played his last JV high school game yesterday and they won 4-2..my son getting 2 goals and then last night was our first indoor soccer game and they won 16-0 with my son getting 7 goals...as proud as I was for that one it was not a fun game...felt sorry for the other team...they were out of the league

and after all Keith has gone through with his heart and surgeries...I could not be prouder or more scared...take your pick....

indoor is actually my favorite to watch....so fast paced and exciting...combo of hockey and soccer with executing that ball off the walls. it was quite a transition from going to afternoon outdoor to evening in one day

we have good refs and not so good refs....wish they all paid attention and not favor either way

we are trying to teach our boys the right way.....sometimes it is hard when other are cheating...

the last time i reffed my son... i called him on three fouls and an off-side, and his team mates were saying... 'God, your mum really doesn't like you!'... it made the other's see there was no favouritism and the match went really well for both teams

At one point, I threatened to send him off and his team were flabbergasted by that! LOL
good for you..it should be called if it is wrong....its amazing how some refs call everying and others call nothing.....we have teams that purposely put our players offsides....I am constantly yelling at my son to watch his offsides.....its just not straight up wherever you go....sad to say
my mother was always harder on me when i had her as a teacher
indeed river... it is a tactic that is not against the rules, to put players offside is actually taught by some team coaches... it gives them possession of the ball and possession is what matters in the end

from 12 years on, the off-side rules apply and i try to encourage the parents of the 11 year olds to respect the ref, cause they get confuses and upset at times when they are called on things, things they didn't know about... it is just AMAZING to me how many coaches don't know the rules!!! or bother to look them up and teach the kids... so I ask the parents to do it

Offsides is very confusing....I am constantly watching the line since the first year that applied to Keith... We get called on it alot but for our own inattention...not for the other teams creating it.;

my son was always the only back with the defenders...so when the ball came..he started his sprint...he is fast and always beat the defenders..whistle blows and out....ugh!
river, it is 110% concentration for every single second of the game... and if you take your eyes off it for a nano second, something happens and you have lost the power to make the right decision... it is bloody exhausting and I ref 4 games a day in winter and 5-6 games a night in summer

Actually you don't need to understand math to solve logic problems - they are different things. A good example is Sudoku - that's a logic puzzle that needs no math.
logic devolves to math. i tried for years to improve my ability to do logic problems and was not able to. i can't do math in my head either

landing at Los Alamos was interesting - the runway goes off the end of a mesa (mountain on the other end) so taking off is easy, you drop off the end
but landing, there can be funny winds up the cliffs and you have to hit it right
those planes do not bother me mrp,the way i figure is that if the pilot messes up he is right there with me to land in the tree tops

You can use any mouse you want with a Mac. You dont' have to use the one-piece one. There are also Mac mouses that look like they are the one peice ones but the have tiny buttons on the side you don't see
