I would agree with that KJE. The more you weigh, the harder it is on your supportive joints.

i am glad i've started to eat right and exercise in my 30s then
I gained weight after each of my knee replacements because I couldn't really do much for a while

No one will "get it" as long as someone else sweeps up the debris and dispenses with it to make it convenient for the rest to forget... unfortunately that's a really hard call to make, especially if you are one of the 'fixer's in the bunch. :-/
