Moved the g/f in a little while ago though.

Yeah, ru. Well it's someone I met a couple of years back in S. Korea... we were teaching at a school there for a while. She ended up here eventually, ahead of my move down here.

you do write well, neil. :)
I cannot wait until I pass you dart...lol
And then this, ru: http://tinyurl.com/NL-CLad
Yep. I actually did that.
Thanks, rbud.
unfortunately...you have to lol
Oh yeah, Dee... ramen and rice and beans are staples here now. Gourmet fine dining. Oh and let's not forget Kraft Dinner.
I like ramen with soy sauce and garlic, makes them taste sorta oriental
I've never had ramen
don't know how many cans of soup...grilled cheese sandwiches and hot dogs in the microwave i ate in the 70's/80's
I haven't either, but daughter ate tons of em in college (not sure where are food $ went) lol
boiled hot dogs here at first didn't have a microwave
pizza was like a once a month luxury and it was only 5 bucks
Yep, dart... all of that too.
Oatmeal or eggs and toast for breakfast. That's pretty cheap.
Oatmeal or eggs and toast for breakfast. That's pretty cheap.
woooweeee. buncha gourmands here tonight
..
and bologna sandwiches
oh, and scrambled eggs... hang on reading...
fried bologna
Wow. Dunno what happened but the chog was stuck. I refreshed the website and it's fine now.
define word "grok" please
Perogies! Love those. College food was often ramen, Kraft Dinner or peanut butter sandwiches or hot dogs, etc. How did we ever survive?
"Grok" is a sound some lizards make. At least I had one go "grok, grok" at me once. :P
Or it might've been a lizard. I dunno. I was a little kid and we were at the zoo and I kept hearing that sound when we were looking at some... but maybe it was something nearby. I'll see if Mom knows.
perfect! I am sharing this with several friends - great writing Neil. Great word!
Haha, thanks Dee... just don't mind my language in some of it. :P
But then my Babble profile alone should come with a language warning.
I swear those kind of people are on steroids.
Extremely comical and entertaining.
Thanks for sharing!
My dad was a marine... I have to be very careful not to let naughty words fly :)
Neil is this your blog? Can I subscribe to it?
Uhhh, I'll have it in my Google blog soon, when I get around to reposting all of my older blogs there first, in chronological order.
let me know, so I can subscribe
Then you'll be able to subscribe to that. It will have more in it... all of my blogs, from the first one in 2007. That one is already reposted on Blogger. I think you follow it already?
Well how would I let you know when they're posted? Just see you here I guess... if I'm on. Don't find that much time lately.
Haha @ on steroids. I think Crazy Face is on something alright. But what is anybody's guess.
You can see from that photo I shared why I drove around to lose him before going home?
I just put the story on my pinterest with the photo of the car.
Yeah, when you are here, just give me the addy sometime.
Well I won't post it in this chog, Dee.
So if you have somewhere I can send it to you, that would work better.
Actually, Dee?
Email me... the address on profile.
yes?
Then I'll know where to send the links.
okey dokey
But replace "playername" with my online nick, of course... the one I use here and everywhere.
brb
If you send one now I'll let you know if I got it ok.
sending now
Ok thanks. Watching for it.
Check your email, Dee.
Like my siggy? lol
lol got it!
Oh silly me... I'll send you the link to my first blog now, haha!
Ok, stand by.
I also sent it to my brother, hubby, daughter and her fiance; they have great senses of humor.
down to 12...
go rb go!!!! May I help in some way?
wellllll.... I need a coupla Y's, have ya 4 x 2, ye 4,6,5,4,4,4, and yi 4 x 3
Ok, check email again, Dee.
But I must warn you... I'm very given to peppering my writing with strong expletives. I drop the f-bomb a LOT. Open my "Frak" entry in that blog with particular caution, lol. :P
ye 4, 4 at the beginning rb
thanks! :)
4 ye 4's after the ye 6
gotcha neil; ty for the warning; I'm sure I'll survive. I'll just be selective with whom I share the humor. My family will just enjoy the story :)
yw rb
got 'em! why do all words I take forever to find in this one seem fishy once found, sigh...
That is totally what happened to me with this grid, rb, so you are not alone.
Haha! Fortunately my family aren't bothered by it... if you saw my dad? lol Great role model and influence. If you saw what he posts, you wouldn't be surprised at what I write. :P
I was razzing him pretty badly last week about some poetry he was tweeting... it's just my job to, you know. So he told me "f___ you. Get a JOB." only he typed the full word, of course. Right there for all the public to see... nice! :P
Funny. Some of my friends get offended, but as I said, I grew up with a marine. Actually the only swear word that really offends me is taking the Lord's name in vain; otherwise, I am cool with it when it is used in context, and not just used because someone does not have a vocabulary.
LOL too funny
Well yeah. I only use it if it's in context... otherwise what's the point? It's just not clever then.
You plainly have a vocabulary!
Totally agree.
I'm rumored to. May just be a rumor though. ;)
LOL. How are you doing keeping up your spirits? I know you must be incredibly frustrated.
Uhhh, I manage somehow I guess? Catch up with my updates on profile.
Thanks for the link; I'll read some tomorrow.
How are you doing rb? How many left?
You're welcome. Instructions are there but you won't need those, since you also have a blog on Blogger. I followed yours btw, I think?
Do your folks also live in CA, Neil?
Yes. They moved out here [to San Diego] from Indiana a couple of years before I was born. They're from Vermont originally though.
They divorced in 2002. Mom lives here in L.A. and Dad's still in San Diego.
Where did they live in IN? I'm glad they are not terribly far away.
Indianapolis. Moved there because of Dad's work, but he applied to be transferred out here.
We are about 2.5 hours north of Indy.
Oh wow. :) I didn't know that.
My brother was born there. He was a baby when they moved across the country... close to a year old.
Our daughter is getting married in Indy the 21st of this month :)
I see.
Congrats to her. :)
Probably why I am so conservative - we live in rural IN.
We cannot wait.. in the final countdown.
Oh. I only look conservative... well dorky, I guess.
LOL
Is unemployment in your area high, or just in your profession?
Very high around here, unfortunately.
In my g/f's profession too. She's a teacher.
She's also been unemployed for a while, other than temporary substitute teaching jobs, when she can get them.
well, poo. down to 6 - one P and 5 S's. One 6-letter word left, 2 5's.
This is the worst we have seen since 1983. Orthopaedics here has been hit hard, and it is just now showing.
So we're having a tough time.
That is too bad.
one 6 letter p?
Yep. Our economy sucks.
It's really bad for teachers now. So many cuts.
This time it seems to be hitting the middle class more than any other group (at least here that is true). Our unemployed are conscientious, hard-working, educated professionals, which actually makes it harder.
Here, too.
Hey, I'll send you something else... hang on again.
rb, do you have pa 6/24 plural; pa 6/21 plural; pe 6/21; ph 6/30 latin ending
Ok, check email again Dee.
k
Yes, Dee. It's hitting a lot of people very hard.
yep, have those.
Ty, I'll enjoy reading. I think the worst part is not knowing what to do. When our daughter graduated from college in 2004 (or 5), they were told they would have an average of 7 different professions (not jobs, but total changes)... pretty scary.
Those are my only p 6's rb
must be an S6, then. That helps.
So far, she and her fiance are employed, but they are the lucky ones. They have friends who moved back home.
Yep. I've had a few already. Well, I do different things.
Yeah. I used to work at a shitty job I just hated... but now? I'm realizing how lucky I was to have it. I'd take it again if it was being offered.
It does change perspective, and in the long run, will probably make us more creative.
Large corps are no longer loyal to employees, so folks will have to go back to a mom and pop mentality - finding services they can perform and make a living.
an
Sorry, was just tweeting.
Not that I was gone that long. :P
no prob at all
No. There's no loyalty to employees whatsoever.
rb do you need anymore help; I probably need to get going
I have a friend who was 3 years from retirement (had been at same orthopaedic co. 35+ years... they discontinued her job 6 mos. ago... absurd.
Oh man. :(
oh, go on, Dee, I got the S6, and will just keep morewording along. Thanks so much for the help! :)
yqw
She is smart and never had a bad review, so it was not performance related. They will rename her job and hire someone at half her salary. She will be scrambling for insurance, until she can apply for medicare and supplement... it's nuts.
Yeah, that's really awful of them to do that to her. They just don't care whose life they wreck, do they?
After all she's given them over the years.
What's sad is the decisions are supposedly based on "profit", but here is the idiocy - she received a year's severance and total insurance during that time. That would make her only 2 years short... that is almost criminal. Okay, enough for my soap box.
I didn't realize your brother was on American Idol. What is he up to now?
Dee, shh please.
oh, I knew that already... ;p
oops crud so sorry.... k... mum's the word
Email.
Just finished 2nd album. "Trespassing". Out soon.
Well, congrats on that; hope you can rest well tonight. Will be praying for your job situations.
Thanks. Something's gotta come up soon.
Or I'll have to apply at In-N-Out, I guess. Watch... my first customer at the drive-thru window: Crazy Face. That would be just my luck. I'd squirt mustard in his eye and get fired. Great blog material if nothing else. :P
heeheehee! (down to 2!)
I still think he is crazy (really crazy, unstable, on something). I would keep my eyes peeled for him. Maybe he will be so embarrassed afterwords that he will stay out of the neighborhood.
WOWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE rb!!
He's manic, psychotic, or something like that.
Has to be.
I somehow doubt he's capable of embarrassment. Or he wouldn't go around acting like such a nutbag.
Depends on how much he cared for the girl.
I finished a while ago... finally. Took longer than usual in between doing other things on here.
Haha, yeah. That was the best part. Priceless!
Made my day.
and too much chatting lol... couldn't have been funnier if you had written their script
At least she had some sense anyway.
Sure did.
Bet it's not his first adult temper tantrum.
Aww, thanks. Yeah, maybe I should heed the "comedy" calling after all. Who knows.
Sure seems like something to seriously consider... I was impressed, as were several others.
Well, I'm off til the morrow... need to answer a few emails.
Read my update for January 29. I got to tell my story at an improv at a comedy club. Best birthday ever!
cool sounds like a blast
Yeah, I'm dragging myself off to bed now. Too much to do tomorrow.
I mean December 29, geez.
I'll be ok. Can't tell I"m overtired, can you?
LOL I knew what you meant. Hope to see you soon.
January 29 is my brother's birthday. Mine is December 29, lol. No kidding... wasn't that timed well?
I think I was mixing that up with New Year's or something... who knows. At this hour on how little sleep I've had, anything's possible.
my hubby and all of his family were born on the 2nd of the month (Dec, Jan, April) pretty comical
Oh yeah?
But both of us on the 29, one month apart. Well he's 2 years and 11 months older than me, to the day.
yep
well, I am off Hugs and best wishes!~
Anyway... over and out. Take care!
nite, you too, sleep well! :)
er, you two...
fireworks! whew! off I go! :p

gm
Christmas was good but I am never sorry when its all over - what A SCROOGE!!
for about 15 minutes last night, we had huge winds. It is terrifying to hear them and poor old Ruby runs outside and hides in the shrubbery
Happy Belated Birthday, KJE! I hope you had a wonderful day

can someone clue the ph's pls
my monkeys are still sleeping
how about ph?
hi sue, ph related to genera and species (I can never remember the order)
i have no idea. i don't know if it just depends on how hard it was to get each tonsil out, how good a job he did on each side...?
i found the 5,18
oops, that was not meant to be a pun
ah, nm, just saw sue's post... will hunt
kingdom, ph----, class, order, family, genus, species
found both 5,18
they never taught us that in school, i just remember my mom saying it a lot

I woke up with J. Geils playing in my head. "There aint no life on monkey island..." Don't know where the hell that came from.
monkey - babble -
However, it's been covered by everyone from Elvis to Little Richard.
I woke up from a dream with Hugh Laurie in it (don't tell my husband!).
ooh, hope he was nice to you, Krysten
oooo lucky
Hugh's okay, Krysten. I do wish he'd shave more though.
Yep, he was!

Hi Scrabs
hi scrabs
howdy Scrabbler
(Said in Sigmund Freud voice) You veel isolated, zee island signifies that. You veel misunderstood, except by monkeys. Monkeys are sexually significant you know.
very sexy
LOL
Oh, hell no, Siggy.
vedddddddy interesting.. facial hair, Hugh Laurie, monkey..
disgusting, but true.
You shrinks are smoking the wallpaper.

It's the glue that gets 'em every time.
And very reudian. lol
Hugh Laurie, House, doctor, play doctor
uh Freudian
keep going...
oh oh, childhood, play doctor?
Oh, that Molly!
Is there another kind of play doctor?
Well Krysten, if Laurie was playing a baby grand, I think we know what the piano signifies. : P
I want Scrabbs. Y'all are a bunch of quacks.
I have been observing and taking notes.
*Leaves chog, rejected and scorned*
Actually, he was a perfect gentlemen. Nothing at all like his character. I'm not really sure why my head makes up such nonsense!
quack, duck, rubber ducky, you're the one.. you make bathtime lots of fun
A fellow nurse once told us that she had a dream of a certain doctor. He was coming toward her and as he did so his feet kept getting bigger an bigger.

Wow, Scrabs!
kje, that is great..
I'm aiming for halfway then I must get ready for a snowshoeing trek.
you have snow?
At least a foot. I snowshoed on Monday and Wednesday and it was wonderful! Tough workout. Maybe I'll lose some weight.
sounds hard
60% more calories used than walking.
Thanks for coming to my rescue, Scrabbler. This place is a malpractice suit waiting to happen.
I should think so.
FW!
I am always the voice of reason.
Yay kje!
wahoo, congrats kje!!!!
Yay! KJE!
any cues needed before i run?

Our newspaper had many photos of Three Kings celebrations in Buffalo yesterday, so I got confused.

Hi Harp
Hi Jane. Bye Judi and kje.

Celebration of the visit of the magi to the creche, which was the first Gentile acknowledgement of the baby Jesus, and a foreshadowing of the idea that all could become followers, not just Jews.
hi harp

tyty
(looks like Sunday School stuck in my head. I can't believe I could type a complete sentence before my coffee>)

In Buffalo it is on the West Side, the Puerto Rican community, where 3 Kings Day is a huge celebration.
Yay Loy
And Aloy too

Isn't today also when the Middle Eastern Christians celebrate Christmas?
Oh, I was confused.

Eastern Orthodox Church has a different calendar.
173 is a good number
I am recovering from my own nightmare from overnight. I was in a mental hospital and I wasn't the doctor.
the nurse, the cleaner
h,mm Scrabbs... something out of your control..
Nope, I was a patient and was being forced to take medication that made me very sedated.
I visited one once, getting in was no problem, they wouldn't let me out
Too much, Aloy.
oohaah tell us more
shoves couch over for Scrabbs
That is what I feared, Vanilla. How did I get there? How could I get out?
they do all kinds of things while youre sedated
sounds awful, Scrabs
no you cant they have the keys to hell
"I don't belong here. YOu don't understand!"
Heavy!!
egads, that would have woken me up.. scary
would make me wet the bed
lol vanilla
even though I know it wasn't real I am still in that emotional state--scared, helpless.
at least
*checking pajamas for urine*
still remember as a kid how nice that felt on a winter morning
maybe a good snowshoe trek will erase those feelings
eexercise will help
but go on scrab
yes, we all prescribe a nice outing for you
vent, vent, vent.. let it all out
Didn't happen, nilla.
*primal scream*
twas a thrill anyway
ahhh, that is better, Scrabbs..

I think scrab is hiding something
Ah, the challenges of life.
newbie for me = pa5.14, up the creek without a ***d**

TY Aloy
Aloy, I mean.

88/85. Time to get ready to snowshoe. Must pack lunch, water, snacks, and a book to read in the hut next to the wood stove.
Bye Scrabs. hagd

I often look up these silly words thinking I'll remember them
howdy hurshy
Hurshy, how are you feeling?
well my left side is all better. my right side is still working on it.
interesting. hagtime Scrabbler
Hurshy--go to Sierra Trading Post or Campmor. Not expensive.

Hi Sprite!

hope Santa was good to Terra
yes, Groningen has been hit the hardest. I have friends there too. Usually we can deal with water in the netherlands, but this was SO much more than normal!
Aloy, Santa left Terra with me, so couldn't be better :D
hope they are all well
ok must go have agreat day everyone its been most educational
bye vanilla, be well and have fun
ttfn, nilla.. you hagd too
I have used all the words I know at least once and I still have 54 grid words to find... how come?
some of the words you know are hiding?
and why isn't the pirate's visual aid not valid?
it is possible, Aloy. But I think this grid boasts 54 words I never heard of.
have bumped into some of that description, sprite
(either that or sleeping only one or two hours a night for about a month is bad for the little grey cells)
Bye for now. bbl
oh, hope you don't have sleep ap5, sprite
bye hego
bye hego
thanks :D
yw (-:
just found that slippery we6, caught it !
thanks again! *loves Aloy*
ooh.. that one was fun!
*mumble mumble grumble and my favorite word is a phantom today!*
it starts with an l today, Sprite
fw for me and I have to get out of my pjs! feeling guilty..
but enjoyed the grid
Aloy, don't feel guilty, enjoy the freedom :) *hugs* and have a good time.
so ciao for now.. scratch Terra behind the ears for me, sprite.. (( )) back, poof

hi all
sorry i missed snuffy
hi jmc :)
Your favorite word starts with L today Sprite, it's just the whack-a-doodle Enable way.
hi sprite
hey molls
i thought i would try for nbt before i go off to home depot today
ye4 I got that one... and the l4/9 that is at least related in meaning to my favorite one.
hello, everyone! clue for the ly5?
and hiya Molly :)
hi lbd
hiya dawg, ly + v*** in which you put flowers
hi jmc! how goes the construction?
ty, sprite!
yvw!
i should be able to sleep in my big new beautiful bedroom in a little more than a week
my kitchen will take a little longer
tada!! finito!! fun little grid today.
oh how lovely! You must be looking forward to that...
wtg dawg!
march 10 i am having a big party!
sounds great, JMC
oh i am sprite i really have hated living in half a house
march 10: official opening of the new home and we are all invited to your bedroom?
hubz decided he wanted to repaint the kitchen cabinets last weekend. it's not a big project but sure is a pain. i can only imagine what you've been through
absolutely--some of you may have to sleep on the floor but maybe molls will let some of you stay with her
lord you have to take everything out of the cabinets to paint them--it is such a pain
well all right, in that case I'll go with molly if she'll have me. But only after the bedroom party is over!
well i wouldn't want you just to fly in for the party and then leave!
a sleep in! everyone has to wear jammies!
painting kitchen cabinets = turning downstairs floor into disaster area
haha after the neighbors leave we will have jammie party!
i have a little spot on the dining table where we can eat. everything else is covered with dishes and spices and such
oh dear and I sleep nekkid... *makes note to buy jammies*
i haven't sat at a table in my house since june
i can lend you a nightgown sprite
Should be in DC March 10 as well!!!!
tsk dawg, you make it sound like a big thing... you need spices and dishes to eat anyway, so it can't be that bad :D
in the summer i sleep nekkid too but not this last summer with scaffolding up to my bedroom window
size HUGE, jmc?
hi witchy
great witchy you really should come then!
argh jmc, you must be ready to spit fire by now
i is no skinny-winny
Hi sprite and everyone else
lol sprite. for only two people living here, you'd think i regularly fed the 7th fleet! i have more dishes than i know what to do with and spices,...well, i do like to experiment
hi Withcy
or witchy
*sighs contentedly* then it will be ok, jmc :)
spit fire? why? my contractor was going through chemo for the whole job--i had teh easy part
you can never have too many spices, experimenting is fun. As for the dishes, you can always go Greek.
jeezzz jmc! That is awful... how is she/he doing?
i have been tossing an amazing amount of stuff lbd--here is your chance
??? go greek?
don't you know what the Greek do with their dishes?
he is cancer free so we are happy
uh no sprite what do the greeks do? *wary look*
praise the Big Guy for that
they break their dishes, jmc, when they party
haha no don't break my dishes sprite!!
gotta love it when they dance, sing, call 'ELLA" and break the dishes! Great way to avoid the washing up.
don't think i want to break the dishes.
hoopla i think
hmm, has anyone told them about paper plates?
stats for any of the vowels on the bottom row but the A please
haha lbd
.... ah well, I tried. Here goes another attempt to make people throw away their stuff :)
for the i, think land surrounded by sea, and the hairy-nosed dolphin
i have been giving and throwing and recycling like made
for the e, build on the land surrounded by sea
over the christmas break i made the boy come and get most of his stuff so i could rent out the guest room to a student for a semester (in lieu of a job)
dawg! Paper plates... heresy! That wouldn't make that great sound!
sorry, for the LEFT e.
duh! ty sprite
for the righthand E, I have only one, EL4/5.
phone
well... no not really a phone. But it kinda rhymes with handh*** phones.
The other from that e is es4
ah great, thank you Molly
And I think JMC meant she had a phone call
woot, down to 40. Among which are 3 7s and all the 8s. I am braindead.
*giggles* Really, Molly?
go sprite!
I couldn't tell if you were making a joke. 2D communication is lacking
<---Is the Babble Whipping Girl Today
very true. I was pulling jmc's leg. Was under the the illusion I was being amusing ;)
*bends over and pants*
back
wb jmc. Scroll down for clues... and a cute misunderstanding. And rowdy words from me of course.
*pulls out whip*
yayyyyy :D
bwahahaha
lol
well I give in. Lickety to the rescue for me today. Can't believe I am totally stuck with 32 to go, but it is the cruel truth.
i used to have a list of all these babblets but i lost it on some computer
oh that is a shame! I know somebody has them in her profile... don't remember who... welki? Seem to remember someone with a W...
the dolphin is en4/4 right?
no, the dolphin is in4
uu has the science ones
oh yes! That double u, lol.
jilli maybe?
what about the E on the left1?
To make sea surrounded
no, jilli has the irregularities between morewords and dictionary.com
hmmmm
make into land surrounded by sea
weird ty molls
ty too sprite
Weird, see, I am the Babble Whipping Girl. First called a quack, now weird.
yvw... sorry to echo Molly, my chat is kinda slow today
no i was calling the word weird
*Goes to the stockade*
boy somebody took her miss sensitivity pill this morning
hello dear friends
hi trif
lol Moll! You are a sweet ducky saying quack, but further than that I wouldn't go.
Triffles! *huggles*
Joking, just joking...it's a joke, see?
haha!
Hi Trif
hello ladies
*sends Molly some ;) ;) and :) :)
stats for the second row A please
Molly!!!!
aw4, jmc
ak4/5
hi trif
Thanks girls, I'm fine. Just trying (and failing) to be funny
jeezzz I cannot even type anymore. AL4/5
ak???
pssst, sprite there isn't a K in the grid today.
sprite you are a big fat liar!
you need more emoticons molls!
and better ignore me completely, and go with dawg.
hi ya harp!
also that's not it
hi lbd
lollllll hi jane! Too true!
al4/5 is another a
yep, the man's name is not the A you asked. I apologise. Humbly. Blame it on the sleepless brain. I am the zombie that is hiding behind the garbage bags under my e**s.
hi harp
aw4.10, jmc. like aw** in the manger
See, now Sprite is a big fat liar. It's vicious in here today. Proceed with caution. : O
liar liar, pants on fiar!
duh!
ty lbd
nbt
ouch! Now I have to sit on the blisters. Cruel, you guys. And I TOLD you, go with dawg!
good use of emoticons, Molls ;)
duh, nbt. I have nbt. 24 words left. I want nwt.
pants on friar? i would hope so!
*hands sprite some aloe* put it one yourself
really most priests these days have their pants off
I would usually prefer pants on friar. Unless it is a very sexy friar... but since my favorite word is a phantom, chances are slim.
you are confusing that with their flies being open ru
*pours aloe on chair and sits down in it* Ruru! I thought it was part of the job description, yes.
lol jmc
okay i will bite what is your favorite word sprite
exactly sprite.. say Friar Tuck ten times pretty quickly
don't bite, jmc, too kinky for babble
friar untucked
:)
you know, jmc. It's penis. Very favorite thing. And no, it is not envy. I love it the way it is... attached to my love.
hi sprite
hey JBV :)
hi jbv
gee too bad you can't take it on a walk with the dog sprite? :)
reminds me of a joke... but I guess it is untranslatable.
Everyone knows that friars hang loose under their robes.
oh of course -- short term memory loss
I don't leash it, ruru. I love the way it jumps up freely to me :)
you are confusing friars with scots molls
at least you have it trained well then sprite
Oh man, Freud would have had a field day with Sprite. Penis adoration.
JMC obviously knows little about monks.
well Molly, it can be heaven in a tube... not many things you can say that about
ROFL
and as Freud never said: Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
scots? friars? Aren't that briars?
haha a friend just sent me a holiday power point!
woot, people are so creative nowadays
how enable applies pt to nouns amazes me
I hesitate to add to the enormous affection men already have for their little friends. : P
enable is amazing
<---respectfully declines to make comment
<----not getting involved in penis discussion
lol Molly... since I am the once that can make his friend deliriously happy, my love knows it is my personal slave.
exactly jm.. dont' let Molly prod you on
<---Bowing out of conversation, this is getting icky
don't blame Molls for the prodding, ruru. You know you are just happy to see us.
<---wishes he knew sprite in high school
ok ok, don't go Molly, I can behave myself. *shuts up*
<---Bets Ruru knew girls just like her when he was in high school
and vice versa, ruru ;)
now be kind to sprite, she's sleep deprived not sex deprived.
LoL
*changing topic to keep Molly with us* I submit a new word: cawel. It is an upside down camel.
*Cough* I don't think anyone thought she was sex deprived
very true, dawg :)
where do the humps go then sprite?
haha
ruru, don't be dense (another phantom)! Look at a W. The humps are what the camel is lying on.
Changing topic...humps...riiiight
hahahahaha
:D
*wipes tears from eyes*
*drags Molly's mind out of the gutter*
Hey, I am not the self admitted penis lover
i must go read my syllabi to get ready for school next week bbl
I will admit to loving the humps too, but that is different.
bye jmc, have a good time studying.
later, jmc
I have only found ten more words..bah
While looking at the PH words, I came across a doozy, and wondered why Dr. God didn't use it: PHPHT...I mean, really!
hello Erda. That would be a nice one.
probably not in enable, erda
Yes, sprite!
i have two ph are there more of them?
three, ph's
let's face it, psst and tsks and such are accepted.
beans
3 in total, ruru
It's in the Scrabble dictionary. And yes, there are three PH words
agree, sprite, but you know how psycho enable is.
lol... my love and I were watching a Mr. Bean movie last week. That was him laughing until he cried, and me looking at him in utter amazement.
enable is suffering from severe multiple personality disorder. Don't know the current correct name... DIS?
schitzoid
that's not pc nor the dmv term
No, it is not schizoid.

Chain mail worked much better against swords.

Peach, that has happened here too. A lot of the suburbs close to DC have become places you don't want to be after dark.
And all the pieces of plate armor had these dents in it where the armorer fired a gun at it to prove that it would stop the ball.
I saw chain mail for the first time when I took my daughter to the Louvre in 1980....gee, that sounds like a lifetime ago.
Mr Higgins owned a steel mill in Worcester, and he became a collector of mideval armor and weapons because he was interested in steel.
I get pretty grossed out when I think about what men who went to war in that stuff must have smelled like when they came home from battle.
The ones there were very small, I thought. But then I guess they used young boys and men to do the fighting.

I've noticed that when I have visited historical dwellings. You should see the house they took Lincoln to after he was shot. And the tiny little short bed they put that very tall man in.
also not a word though it works in crosswords
along with indoor plumbing
That was why being a Knight of the Bath was such a big thing. You actually got a bath.
Yes, Pickles, it does work in crosswords.
I guess his Lady was very glad.
Molly, in Warm Springs, GA, there is the Little White House, where FDR died. In touring it, I noticed the bed was so short and he was a very tall man....maybe they used extension boards or something.
wow they killed Mitch Lawrence again!
Or maybe he slept curled up.
When my kids were younger, and we toured a colonial house, they didn't understand the step stools next to the beds. Nor did they understand the concept of a chamber pot. : )
There is nothing like sleeping in a house with only a wood stove in the winter to understand the appeal of a chamber pot.
I think most young people today don't know just how far we've come from what....a hundred years or less.

Other half, who was also made redundant a month after I was, had work up to Christmas. However, it's all gone quiet for now. (He's a trucker.)
with apologies to book doctor
there is a new book storee here that opened the other week.. every book is 2.00.
its called "2.00 books"
1222222222
good lord, not much rom for margin there;(
sorry the cat is typing and doesnt spell as well as the monkey
LOL jmc.
but theyre all used but they have good stuff nonetheless
i love used book!
the last time i sold books to a used book store (2008) i was delighted when they paid me $5 a box so they will do okay with the $2 books
Hi crossy and cosdem!
and its right next to target and safeway so i can go during myweekly grocery shoping trips lol
And jmc!
I am finished! I have fireworks! A cl 7/32 was my last word
hey neil how ru
hi neil
And Min!
wtg min
Just peachy, cos... just confirmed my guest for tomorrow evening's GOP debate livestream... can't wait!
I'm wondering if we should both try to find the air fare etc., to Canada and he can drive the ice roads whilst I work in a truckers' cafe as a cook up there somewhere. Maybe we could earn enough to live for another year, but we need to earn enough to pay the bills for whilst we are away, as well as for the air fare etc.
becareful the low prices don't waste too much money--buy only really long books
Well done, Min! *~*~*~*~*
And how are you, cos? And jmc? And crossy, et al?
i only buy epics anyway :)
im good neil... surviving
whoo hoo min!
bemoaning lack of employment
fireworks
whoo hoo cosd
my last word was a plural that i spent 15 mins trying to figure out til i saw it was a plural :)
Congratulations cosdem on your fireworks! Hooray for you!
Well done, cos. *~*~*~*~*
got a story min?
Good to hear, cos. Or read, as the case may be.
thanks.. anyone need help before i go start a movie?
damn cat took over the computer table--my lap top is actually a lap top!
ni5/12?
Cats rule... or like to think they do.
Looks like Min needs to write a clue story. I used to do that once. Glad it's not me tonight!
Pickles - ni5.12 is the plural of ni4/5 (the first).
ok whats ni5?
ni4/5 (1st) = ni + not your ma.
like jac said.. its a plural
these plurals were tricky today
ty
y/w, pickles.
I just finished Picklesny so I will work on doing a story now.
Min - you're a saint! LOL
oh for heavens sakes i need to rid of my cat bbl
Or, I should say more correctlythat you are saintly.
Dogs belong to God and cats are the servants of Satan. Or so history would have us believe.
Cats are certainly more manipulative and demanding, but dogs can be the same, too. They just live quicker than cats and so can't drag the torture out for so long.
I assume this is because dogs are pack animals who need a leader and cats more often operate alone.
Oh, btw, that is one thing I got well paid for on the writing front - my stuff about cats and dogs, and other animals.
jacula herriot:) i have read that entire series many times and still get a case of the warm fuzzies when i read it
Why, thank you Mr. Crossy!
you want to go out and kiss a sheep and hug the world lol
Crossy - did you watch that young James Herriot tv prog. If so, what did you think? I was rather disappointed myself.
actually ,the tv series dissapoints,i only read the books
Crossy - the books are more often than not better than anything TV producers decide to turn it into.
same with hitchhikers guide to the galaxy...t.v does a poor job
Crossy - I think it's something to do with people who relish and appreciate words, and use their own imaginations... no one else, unless it is you producing the film of the book, will see it the same.
hey all!
tbh,if it were not for my mrs and the offspring,i would not have cable television in my house, just an lcd display and a dvd player to play select movies of my choice
i am sure you are quite correct jacula
I wonder if people who produce the film of the book actuaally canvas the readers of the book before trying to produce the film?
Hi Jen.
i find it works better to see movie then read book. the book tends to fill flesh out the movie
hi jacula
i find it best to read the book first, that way we do not have the director version on what all the characters should look like
let the minds eye do it first
Pickles - omg! That is such an arse about end way of looking at it! Sorry! I'm just so used to reading the book first and then seeing the film/tv series or whatever.
hi crossy, you two the only ones in here?
as am i jacula
not sure jen
However, if seeing a film or something on TV makes you read the book - I'm all for it! (As a writer, I'd not say anything else!)
Good Evening Everyone. I find it better to read the book; movies aren't necessary at all to enjoy the book
i do not wish anyones preconceived notions on what all the people in the story look like
hi nef
i'm here
<----not sure I'm here or not
I'm with crossy on his last post - though he does have the writer's preconceived notions to start with.
i am a bibliophile first and foremost, everything else is a far second place
Hello Nef! How are you doing today? Welcome to the chog.
hi ruru!
Hello JenMO16!How are you doing? Welcome to the puzzle
hi, Jac, crossy, Jen, Pickles, and ruru and Min and everyone else
hey min
<---book reader first
and notice..99.5% of babblers are readers/writers
*Hands ruru a coffee*
hi jenmo
howdy nef
howdy ru
yum.. thanks jac
hi crossy and minver
hi, nef
you missed a randy conversation this morning jac
i good book will be hard to make a good movie. a poor movie often came from a great book
ruru, y/w - but just remember to hand me a mug of tea if are situations are reversed. PG Tips please, none of that Tetley gnats' pee nonsense.
got it
i start a 4-day 10-hour week this Monday!
Jac's a tea snob
ugh.. jen.. long hours
Jen - good for you! You've got work!
I tend to agree.. not good tea isn't worth brewing
and now i must leave you all,but here is a final crossy,s quote of the day!
"Joy is wealth and love is the legal tender of the soul." -- Robert G. Ingersoll
i wanted it ruru, it gives a day off during the week to do things instead of the weekend
Pickles - not a tea snob - just a British tea drinker. Also, if you ask any of my British Indian friends, they won't disagree.
poink!
oh.. well good then
actually my brother was allergic to milk so he drank a wide variety of tea
I think crossy just feell headfirst into the hay. Can someone turn his head to one side so he doesn't suffocate in there?
lol..
I'm stumped as to what to make for dinner
i had Long John Silver's fish and chicken!
Pickles - in this house we have more varieties of tea than a tea shop. That's not a quote from me but from several people who have visited.
.. but I'd best get going .. otherwise mrs ru might eat me for dinner
take care all.
bye ruru
actually that doesn't sound too bad after all ;0
*poof*
ruru rump steak with fried onion rings, lightly fried mushrooms in butter, pan-flashed tomato slices and thick cut fries. YUM!!
Jac, i'm coming for dinner
Add a mix of petis pois (small peas) and sweetcorn pearls to that and it's perfect.
Pickles - see you soon! LOL
PB for me now for typing the pa4/5 word.
pe4.5 word. LOL
Picklesny, are you still here? I'm almost done with my story
Looking forward to reading it, Min. x
I am finished so here is a story of cl 5/20. My hubby has sleep ap5/12. I wish that husband would go aw 4/10 to a sleep clinic to see how bad it is. I wish he would use a C-PAP.The idea doesn't appe4/5 to him. I think he is hy 4/7 for not using one. Hubby thinks people at the sleep clinic would tell him that he has a sleep disorder just so he would get a C-PAP and the insurance company could make money. He thinks all th 4/7 care about is making money. Hubby thinks sleep ap5/12 does not really exist and it is all hy 4/8 so people can make money on the C-PAPS. My husband thinks there should be la 4/8 against people who try to make money off something that's not real. He does not realize he would be able to sleep with ea4/4 w/a machine and wouldn't have to take so many na 4/5 during the day due to lack of sleep. I've begged him to ple5/10 use a C-PAP.If not for his sake for mine. It would appe5/12 my mind knowing that he would live longer using a C-PAP. I goto bed on pi 4/5 and needles wondering if he's going to wake up the next morning. It really drives me insa4/4. Wish I could just ha 4/5 his fat ass to a sleep clinic. My husband is very unhealthy which contributes to his sleep disorder.Hubby needs to go on a diet and cl7/32 his body of all of the calories and fat he eats. I think if my husband cl 7/36 out his body and lost weight, he would be healthier. I do hope one day he sn 4/5s out of his high & mighty attitude & goes to a sleep clinic. Hope that this story le 4/5 you to find some more words. Now I am going to go le 4/5 into bed and watch Morgan Freeman in the film Le4/4 on Me. Goodbye all.
If I don't see it today, I will check back in to read it later.
Min's story re the man who snores looud enough to wake half a continent is mainly fictional. I love my other half but I wish he was mainly fictional when he's snoring for Britain.
Tonight, not only has he, yet again, removed one of life's small pleasures from me (that of sinking in to fresh sheets and pillows) because he always goes to bed before I do AND uses all of the bed, but he is also invading my side now and grinding his teeth so loudly that I think my jaw may shatter any moment.
just came back in time to read your story Minveryork. They are always very clever

Hi Bugsaw! How are you doing? Welcome back to the grid.
I have 46
