I lived in Cincy.. everyone raved about skyline chili. I just don't get it I guess.
but they did open a Skyline in Cleveland. I got my MM at UC, where I learned to eat 3-way, 4-way, and 5-way chili. 4-way was my fave.

It's the spices, m9. Allspice, clove, and the beef is ground super fine and not browned. The spaghetti was regular (not thin) if I recall.

my borsht is good. I roast the beet bottoms, make broth with the greens. dice the bottoms and add to the broth, season with salt, sugar, and something sour(lemon juice, vinegar, or my preferred sour salt (citric acid))

borsht? I don't do a recipe, but look down the chat log. Beets, bottoms roasted, tops made into broth, dice the bottoms, season salt, sugr, and citric acid (sour salt). Dill weed. Sour cream. don't wear your best white outfit when eating.

come on out to washington state--you can have all of our show (20 inches in 3 days) plus 1-2 inches of ice on top of that resulting in an ice storm and now that it's starting to melt the wind is gusting at 35-50 mph......flooding is another concern now

my daughter lives in Anchorage, AK - so far they have had 80 inches
montana got a foot of snow and then a foot of rain. it's a huge mess in town but WONDERFUL in the mountains
first day was fun mama but after that not so much; have missed four days of school this week

yep. yesterday was spent watching/listening to trees exploding and falling; massive power outages. One electric company still have 240,000 customers without power and they are looking at 3-4 days to restore. Today, rain has started the melting but everything is flooding
