Hi josh and wtg.
Lurker Dart? Hey ru... didn't think you were supposed to post people's real full names in here?
I wish he'd take a few days off
Like I'd never call you Ruru Rocks in here. Ever.
Woops...

Okay. Have you got ra5/12 - used to track planes in the air for example?

That's great, glad you got it.
Anything else I can help you with before I go, Aaron? It's a pretty tough grid, isn't it?
Off I go. Bye!
good morning all.. :D)
this is one hard grid this morning~~ yike's!
so glad you said that. Thought my brain was malfunctioning.
no, this is somthing else!! :)
Too many A words...boo!
I mean, more than usual. Yup, this is a stinker. 25 left and no more monkeys.
just monkeyed the go6. this grid has now officially entered the ridiculous stage.
9 words in 30 min. :( off to work...cul
I did say it was tough...
Good day folks.
Hello, Scrabbler.
How is life across the pond?
It's okay, Scrabbler, nothing major to report.
And I see, from comments below, that this grid sucks.
This grid is one which gives room to the lesser known species of English words.
and ethnic slurs
I'll tell my monkey to try everything and anything.
good morning everyone
There's a higher percentage than usual of never-before-encountered-nor-imagined words.
Good morning, Annie.
Hi Annie
morning Hazel
morning, scrabbler
Needless to say I recommend morewords!
Morewords will be ragged by the end of the day
I have a long day of work ahead so I'll do what I can.
Just to give you a flavour, Scrabbler, we have Chinese wooden yokes, Australian lizards and French booze.
The last clue I got.
We've had the Australian lizard before, the Chinese yoke of punishment was a new one on me.
French booze? *perks up*
and morning all!
Hi Sue
Please take pity on this American. Any clue for the first up
Hello, uusue.
hi scrabs!
morning, sue
and hi haz and annie!
up5 - many babblers will be up5 with the words in this grid.
G'mornin, all. In all the years I've done this game, I've never used more words. Maybe today by the sounds of it?
TY--twisty word.
I should seen that one, Haz, thanks
Morewords is a wonderful site.
Le this be the day, gramma. Your choice - morewords or your mental health/chunks of hair.
I'll look at it later.
thx for the up - I kept thinking that word ought to be there and not seeing it :-/
I am going to the kitchen to get breakfast. What would everyone like?
anyway nbt
You're welcome, uusue.
sausages would be nice, scrabs :-)
and coffee...
Coffee I can do but there's no meat in this vegetarian home. The bunnies and I are herbivores.
I have the up 6 and 7..I would never use that word in that way but I must find a way to use it today. This grid will up6 me today, most likely.
veggie sausage would be ok (I've actually had some that wasn't bad - and have been vegetarian myself off and on)
anyway gotta run myself...
Have a good day, uu.
Bye Sue.
Yogurt + oatmeal for all. Also tea + coffee are on the breakfast tray.
hello everybody
Hi Ruby
21 left for later..have to get my BP checked and return 2 pair of shoes bought online
((((ruby)))
Hello, Ruby.
hi scrabs and hi and bye annie
hello haz
Bye Annie
that's a funny idea, buying shoes online
You've made good progress, Annie. Hope the BP hasn't been raised too much!
except for LLBean, I wouldn't dare!
good morning all
I refuse to be up5 by the grid. This is my "relax" time
Much higher than it usually is for more than 3 weeks.

hi again all, struggling with my phone, sigh
Whew. Made it halfway at least.
Hello uusue!
hi car!
How are you, dahling?
And what is wrong with your phone? Is your car at least better?
I am finding very hard to believe that there are 16 G's in this grid.
the SD card in my phone died
Ugh.
my car is still in the shop, should be done tomorrow, meantime I am renting a 2012 Ford Focus, which is quite snazzy
whee!
I love renting cars! You get to really try them out for a bit!
I had an old SD card that I put in, and fortunately I had uploaded all my photos, but recovering everything is a nuisance
(of course, if I used my phone as a phone and not as a computer with a very small screen, it wouldn't be such a big deal, I suppose...)
That is true....;p
I need to scoot. Have a great day!
bye, car!
Im back for a bit. can I get a clue for co6/30 please
brandy :-)
just passing thru -- gmorning and gbye for now *poof*

there is no 9
Oh.
found the 8 - thats NBT and NBS
the 10 does not start like the 8
do you want a clue?
I keep wanting to type gospel but it is not there - my phantom today
Well River, since most people seem unable to speak in anything but abbreviations, gosp will do : )
I do not like abbreviations - drives me crazy at work when I read files and cant figure out what they are
Ah, someone who agrees with me about that. My latest, most disliked is "brill". It's like nails on a chalkboard every time I hear it.
and good morning Molly
ah there is a nice sweater in the grid today
there can not possibly be 16 G's in the grid...
clue for the 10?
think traffic controller
ra10
its a compound word
need to give eyes a break with 69 to go - time for breakfast - later all

hi all
hi jmc!
howdy jmc
Hi JMC
ru fell asleep in the pb?
maybe he sniffed too much ga6.27
we think so
crossy keeps it in there to chop into his brekkies
i am pretending to study
we won't tell
do you think that is a step up or down from pretending to pay attention to a meeting?
but.. what are you pretending to study?
step up
i am pretending to study choosing to engage armed groups in the peace process
easy...water cannons:))
no wonder you're pretending
h'mm, sounds complicated and almost oxymoronic
actually pretty interesting stuff but my head cold lingers and it is hard to concentrate
no no crossy to engage in dialogue! this is a peace build program
ahh..dialogue...lol
well if you don't engage the armed parties in a conflict you will never end the armed part of the conflict
sigh.. you are right of course
what are the stats for the corner R please
wish they were all armed with squirt gus
guns that is
that would be a fun war. water guns and cannons
it is amazingly difficult to get some people to see the logic of that--and i would be okay with squirt guns as long as it was just water at a controlled temperature and pressure
water cannons are not fun if the pressure is high enough hego
true even that could escalate
you said armed..if they are waving gas cocktails and ak-47,s...i am not worried overmuch as to the temp of the water:)
about that r.. the guy on Mash that drank Nehi
and slept with his teddy bear
what air traffic controllers use
loved mash
we still watch it
i was just pointing out that when we come up with solutions we need to look at possible unintended consequences like scaldling water or high pressure
ty snuffy
still watch it:) it is in endless re-runs on history channel
yw.. am still missing two from there
I watch it also
see the sound cannons we have recently developed here for that purpose jmc?
ah the pl comes from that R
no more nasy water:)
a long time ago I researched a sound weapon the French developed.. infrasound.. vibrates the intestines.. aim it at an approaching army, and voila.. where is the latrine?
sound can be devastating too--they have used it in torture over the decades
brb, have to stir my crock pot stew
:-)
so you need a combination of persuasive forece along with someone who is vocally gifted and can talk the birdies from the trees
force
sigh....make love,not war
showing my age now. lol
well, you could try kissing them into giving up those molotov cocktails and ak 47,s...
actually the first step is to build trust
tell that to Iran and Israel
it is a slow process and many people prefer the seemingly fast process of just shooting everyone
that is exactly the point hego
ancient hatreds and modern weapons. what a combo
stats for any n word from the second n please
<<<<<<does not have n's
I am n less
na4, pretty much nothing of a word
lol ty Aloy
na4.4, babblet
you will find a bunch of n's if you think of drugs
the war against drugs
drugs?! where?!!!
calm down, crossy.. nice crossy
I actually had not looked for them yet, but ty
no drugs for you Crossy
hands crossy a bacon milkshake
duh! missed that word twice in a row!

mmm..bacon..slurrrrp

Add in body-part insults like pu/4 and ar/4 too.
last word, up6.24 = add what a kite or a big bird does in the sky
EEK! what is that creature Judi
that's the only up I have Aly
Aloy
Hi, hego. It is a teeny weeny youth version of a newly discovered chameleon. I think it's adorable.
be hard not to hurt it
It can perch on the head of a pin. It's a wee little miracle.
amazing
must te4.4. myself away.. "to do" list calls... hego, don't get up5 with me.. but you could add the te4.4 and its pl and be finished with the up's
ty and Bye aloy
It looks like a meal of one ant would fill it up nicely.
that is an amazing creature.. ty for posting, Judi.. ci4 for now, all!
how many words today and thanks
175
I saw that picture, Judi - really amazing!
the ant might give it a run for it's money.
I love tiny little things like that. What an extraordinary discovery for the person who actually found it. Just reminds me to take time and look at all the little details of nature.
true Judi
right in your own back yard too.
Absolutely.
Name that proper noun: Country in Africa.
I'm stumped
Clue: it starts with a "U"
idi amin's favorite
aha!
I can't even find words today
Uganda!!
this grid is full of wds i will never ever remotely think of possibly trying to use in conversation...
or even in a sentence, already
Ding! Ding! Ding! Molly wins the (nonexistent) prize.
*Adds to my collection of other non-existent prizes*
Dumbfounded that there is a 10 letter word. No idea what that might be.
compound word ra10
*still dumbfounded*
ra5 + the thing you look through to see that little creature micro+++++
Ah. Ty, hego.

Sounds like that should be two seperate words to me. Somebody call the Navy.
hey sailor
Just found all of the U's. All but one is highly suspect.
agreed
and nage is a word often found on menus.
but not here
Agreed.
but I keep entering it anyway
I just found Peoria, but that doesn't help me either.
lol
The Navy reports that ra10 is indeed, one, non-hypenated word. Anchors Aweigh!
Go Navy
yay!
Pfttth.
Notice I do not say "Anchors Away" like the masses of uneducated non-military brats : P
and non nautical types
brb
I see your Anchors Aweigh and raise you a Semper Paratus Molly
*climbs to crows nest to keep lookout for pirates*
*Salutes*

Let's dress the cabana boys up in cute uniforms!

I did get a couple of photos but only from a distance (they are on facebook now)
supposedly, there are foxes right above us, but I've not seen one
my sister told me about the raccoon program
we are currently hip deep in coyotes
raccoons are all over the place here, but I haven't often seen foxes
they live unseen in cities
she said they've infested Chicago
as dumpster divers
there used to be a guy who walked around campus with a raccoon on a leash (!)
they call them raton-laveurs here but I don't think they have any
yes, the raccoons definitely do get into the trash!
we have a couple in town that walk their poet ferret down town all the time..funny to see:)
and they look in people's windows!

Hi all. I might have got myself into trouble with a friend who writes for a dog (canine kind) magazine after she queried a guideline from Crufts re cage labelling. Since I hate Crufts and The Kennel Club for all the harm they've done to dogs and dog breeds over the years, I said I neither knew nor cared. I also asked WHY people put 'Show Dogs In Transit' stickers in the back of their vehicles, especially when you see small children free-range at the very back, 'show' dogs in cages strapped securely to the rear seats in front of the kids, and Mum and Dad seat-belted in at the front.

BTW - that mad prayer warrior, aftr scaring her kids, did accept the cheque/check she tore up in the end. She got the money, but what did she do to her kids??
DC is hysterically funny in person by the way.. very witty and really sarcastic..
and WAYYY smarter than me
Molly - you carry on, but please don't enter any competions in magazines that offer no prize other than being published. It's a battle we paid writers have been waging this week against mags published by big corporations who can afford to pay. Small presses and charities are one thing, big publishers are quite another!
*competitions, I meant.
back... I thought they were coming at 10 of 6 but it is 10 after 6
a few more minutes of babbling
dc is great - when did you meet him? in DC or out here
in SF.. I liked him a lot
did his partner come too? he is fun also
*Stops joking and flushes sense of humor down the toilet. Man, this is a hard room some nights*
I bought him breakfast.. he was going to a ball game
no.. he had another friend with him.. nice guy though
wait a minute!!!
what?
dc gets breakfast and I get coffee... what's up with that!?!
isn't coffee breakfast?
lol
you're already going to lunch
unless you want a croissant while I'm getting an MRI
consider the source though, ru - lol
*frazzled*
i said going to lunch.. not out to lunch..lol
pretty pictures of ru? :D
Molly - I'm getting confused here, too, especially since I'm talking to my stepdaughter (who is only yars away from me upstairs) on Facebook.
honestly, they feed me a lot... meetings, visits, all come with too much food
Out to Lunch - that was a brilliant game on the old Amiga.
Hello Babblers
yarDs,nt yars!
there are so many great places in SF..
hi wht
yet....
Hi wht. It's all a bit confusing here right now.
I'm going to garibaldis
It seems a little late to be going to lunch in SF right now. Dinner maybe.
*nods head.. they shudda talked to me first*
maybe I'll give them your number
LOl please do...
16 G words?!?
and some goofy-ass g's if you ask me jm
Ricky don't lose that number - great music track!
super!
i've got 1, jmitch :)
I love steely Dan
o, must run again... later
I'm double your total jes...
:D
bye kje have fun
garibaldis - here in UK they are known as squashed fly biscuits. LOL
How about a clue for the first an7. I have the sweater.
always with the one-up-man-ship! :D heheheh
that sounds a little gross jax
jac
howdy all
hi pickles
wht - same first 44 letters but the word ends with an operatic solo after the first 3 letters, if you get my drift.
hi. jes
Hi pny
ruru - that's the kind of humour we have. LOL
ty jac
thanks jac
ty, jac
44 letters??? I meant 4, wht.
It was a long solo. But I got the word.
I don't think the grid supports a 47 letter word! LOL
LOL, wht.
evening all!
hi dan :)
I've caught up to you, jmitch...assuming you've not found any other g words yet...
wow grid full of racial epithets
cars
oops pb
thanks dan. i had not even tried the sp4 epithet, figured it wouldn't be a word...
ty, dan
jes - I don't see jmitch herem, but every time I see that name I take a breath, thinking it's FMitch again.
hi all my first day here, not doing so well
welcome bl!
hi leo. you picked a difficult grid to start
why are you broken leo?
long story but arent we all just a little
fair enough
Leo, I think we have a broken grid.
so these do come easier?
yes, some of them are much easier!
I haven't even dragged myself to half way through this one.
ugh
and how long have you been at this?
uhm.... 4-5 years?
or did you mean this grid in particular?
both i guess
almost an hour tonight
has anybody pointed you to lickety's clues yet?
no whats tha
that
http://r46.me/BabbleClues.html
it gives a list of first 2 letters, with point values for each word, in alphabetical order. VERY helpful.
I find morewords helpful for short words
also, it's ok to ask for clues of other players
And you can enter your words and see which ones you have and which you are still missing. Very nice.
when giving clues, people will usually try to avoid actually spelling the words out, so it can get interesting trying to hint "this word is like this, only different in these ways" :D
Welcome brokenleo. It gets easier, I promise you.
right, we try not to type grid words into the chat box - but sometimes we slip up!
then you will see people put themselves into the "penalty box" - not a real construct, but just a way to acknowledge that we goofed.
there are some bizarre words which turn up frequently like ohia
Could I have the stats for the 10. please
well that has me even more confused
how so?
ra10/91
guess I'm just too simple
don't worry about it, leo - just type the words you find in the "add word" box, feel free to chat, and it will all make sense after a while
Just played Brahms Lullaby to my stepdaughter, First time she's heard it, apparently. It's in her earphones on her i-pod now. If that doesn't work I'm going to have to go up there and sing to her! On Ikley Moor Bah'tat usually does the trick! At least it did when my kids were little.;-)
also the "Help" link above has useful info
k thanls
Brokenleo - you'll be glued together again when you've spent some timee with us lot!
there's something about this funny puzzle that brings out the nicest people
Pickles tells the truth about this game.
hope so have had enough of the other types of people
leo, jac is right about getting glued together. I think it is the stick-to-it-ness that this puzzle requires.
That's not to say we don't get trolls in her, or that none of us disagree, but it's a nice place to be on the whole.
glad to be here then
zips
oops, sorry about that
Stick around, brokenleo. W'll help you to become whole again. And that isn'y some lame internet promise.
I hope there
I hope there;s something good in the PB
any clues for go6/24?
*tosses Christine an eggnog taffy on her way to the PB*
just saw a comment about my name reminding of FMitch.....No relation, but it's nice to think I remind folks of a special person
I think there are some citrus fruits in there, Christine.
Well, I don't eat sweets, but the eggnog bit sounds okay.
majmom - go6 is a large type of monitor lizard. Google it if you don't know it.
I just learned of FMitch's death. I remember a nice person, and I'm sorry for your loss. I know some of you were very 'close'.
jmitch, yes, you do. Still miss her in the mornings on Babble, in the emails etc.
She was one of the first to welcome me aboard.
Hi Christine. Yes, we were. Still are.
tx jacula -googled and found it
ha, finally found the lizard several paragraphs into the Wikipedia article. Now know much more about said lizards.
well, I've used up all my patience searching for G words.....y'all have a great evening. *poof*
jmitch - that was typical of her to welcome folks. Me? I'm far more cautious. Have made enemies on here due to my troll-radar.
bye, jmitch
Goodnight, jmitch. Hope to see you again.
But, on the whole, we're a nice bunch, tho' there have been times when you want to just reach out and grap someon by the neck, and march him/her into another room, until they can behave nicely. Come with being a mother, I guess.
help with co6/21 or co6/30 pls
majmom and uusue - I guess you don't take much interest in the natural world if you didn't know that word? Ah well, such is life! nd the differences are what make it all so interesting.
co6/21 the first is rough, not fine
co6/30 is brandy
*grab someone
sue! I wanted to clue the brandy word! LOL
looking for 6/21 the second currently
and jac, my knowledge of the natural world is more along the lines of neutrinos and supernovas - I am rather deficient in biological knowledge!
ty for the co words
Not that I drink it - I only use it in my Christmas cakes and to pour over the Christmas pudding and set alight.
ah! second co6/21 is a shaping garment
Any help for the ca7/7 combo after the pens?
Ah, sue, you're looking downwardss rather than upwards. No harm in that.
or ca6/7 combo
I do the really, really tiny and the really really big things :-)
ca6/7 is a wooden collar/yoke worn by Chinese prisoners. c + ag4 (chill) word.
ca6/7 ends like the thing in your mouth (not your teeth)
ty. That is a new word for me.
Or rather tin for food, remove last letter then go for the other word.
wht, y/w.
Any more clues needed?
About 22 more jac. :^)
I am feeling like a bit of a pu4,11 tonight.
or 85 :-)
raises hand
sue - I assume you've got the man ape or5/14 and the fruit and fruits are or6 and 7?
Hi TO!
do now :-)
(haven't really been focusing on the puzzle today - lots of crap going on)
and hi, TO!
sue - lots of crap here for past 2 weeksm, but, assuming no more crap arrives, can get focussed again.
hi sorry, dinner timer just rang
glad ou got the or clues!
yes, I have been saying "assuming no more crap arrives" for a while now and more crap keeps arriving. Oh well.
TO - so are you here or getting diner now?
how about the 8 and 10?pls
The car is fixed; I can pick it up in the morning so that is good.
both
both are compound words, TO, unrelated to each other although both start with ra
ra8, TO, is the company that runs the trains.
ahh thanks
which i have to take at 6 tomorrow :(
ra10 is ra5/12 (what the police use to catch you speeding) plus sc5/14 (put micro or tele in front and you can look through it)
tra10/91 is the spyglass that looks at the watching system over enemy planes, ships etc., especially in war time.
the ra , I meant!
hints sure make this easier
nothing funner than getting those long ones
ty
li5/10?
i am exhausted, normally i don't mind rolling in for 7 am fund driveat the station butaguy who is interested in me just emailed to say he will be there.
sonot only doi have to get up before 5 but i have to look decent
TO - is this internet dating thing really worth it?
don't know,i stopped months ago
leo, sometimes the hints are the only way.
Pickles - li5/10 = people who don't tell the truth.
Like internet daters, LOL!
what a difference an s makes
oh, for heaven's sake, who hid that other r over there????
as opposed tothose truthtellers ones meets in person
they jump right out at me with these clues
TO - I can't judge you, since I met my other half of the past decade on a website. It wasn't a dating site, but we met and there you go!
that is lovely, jacs
sue - Hiding letters by picking the gri up and throwing it down again is Dr_God's fun thing.
TO - Yes, so they're not all driller killers out there, but you still have to take care.
i truly cannot see an y more words
the first il5?
nm
Pickles, you're now making me think of that song, 'What a difference a day makes'. LOL
last column grey
clue for the ep7, please
first il5 - hipbone word.
I clued ep7 a while ago,
ok what is the third i after the bony words?
One of Homers works
To - tink ep4/6 poem about the fall of TROY. Think Homer.
and not the Odyssey, I take it :-P
sue no.
sue, that was my wife's car.
ah - my ex thought about buying one of those too
ra 10 anyone?
(and I do have the word, thanks wht and jac!)
that is a common noun as opposed to a propernoun?
ra5/10? There isn't one.
ah, how appropos that the man of man words is present today.
ra10 is what air traffic controllers look at.
Sue, is brokenleo your Leo?
ra10 is compound 2 x 5 letter words
cadge
I don't think so! I haven't asked him but as far as I know it's a different Leo.
damn ipad
i don't know sue
tx dan got it
Molly is asking because I have a son named Leo (who was born in 1989)
and now dinner is here! bbl (probably tomorrow)

da6/27 is pl of the da4,7
Fireworks
the fable writer is also here today
i have the plumbing one
There is a similar one that is used in the chem lab, Pickles

And add a consonant before the last letter of the last pi 4 for the last

co6/30. sprocket + a talent, minus the last letter.
monkeyed it and now to bed c u tom
oooh now i get it thx
co* _ cut out wheel that tuns something + reverse spelling of the tin that contains presered food.
night i don;t know what a sprocket is, time for bed
I am off as well. Happy Babbling.
TO - a sprocket makes things sprock! Dindya know that?
not Spacelys Sprockets but ---swell ----
jacs: i have been up since , worked 9 hours, drove an extra80miles for ameeting andjustcleaned up after dinner. it is 2230and i donlt know my A$$ from my elbow at this point :)
so t y and night all
I'm off, too. Have teased my stepdaughter on FB for too long now, and she has at ery least gone to bed now before having to get up for work on the farm rather earlier than she has to get up for school.
thank you Jac!
To - I know the feeling! Let's fall intyo oblvion together! 1, 2, 3, hold hands, wheeeeeeee...
*plunk*
y/w Jindigo.
Oh heck!¬ Plunk! Move over TO! Abd STOP snoring!
Get your ar4/4 out of my half of the bed, TO! Or at least wear a co6/21 to make yourself smaller! It would be nice if your breath didn't smell of ga6/27, too. It's not true that it repels vampires you know. It repels everyone and anyone who hasn;t eaten it at thwe same time as you did.
:p
Well, thank you - that's two words I needed. Carry-on arguing.
An what's the ge5/18 you're wewaring. It's not the 1960s know, you know! You've even missed the punk era when they put zi4/10 on everything!
yes ty i got 3 words from it :)
i do ned the 2nd ag7 so if u could use it in an argument? :)
Hope the clue story worked! I didn't know TO was still there when I did it. LOL
oo you cheeky sneaky witch
coa - ag7 = ag* - farmhouse oven + lover's flower, red ones for Valentine's Day.
thanks!
TO - ROFLOLPMP. GOTCHYA!
hello -- all I ask at this point is a clue for the ra10 that I can understand through the haze of fatigue
what is the word before the damned brandy if you would be so kind?
ra5 + sc5
Hi jilli, most revred oldie.
Jillibus ra5/12 + sc5/14
or even reverered.
jac, that farmhouse oven is almost unknown here -- I happen to have brit pals so I know it
what an air traffic controller looks at, jilli
jillii - I knew ou'd know it but does tht other witch TO know it?
good clues, TY cos and broll
tyvm Christine! nbs at lst!
oast?
yw
Good evening to my fellow babblers! How is everyone?
By the way, congratulattions to all the finishers! YAY!
No, TO, oast is something you do with hops or oats and you get oast houses down south in UK.
has anyone taken the trouble to read my icon theme writeup? I took the trouble to find it.
Hi Min.
gonna read it now jill
We're having fun insulting each other at the moment.
jill wasnt this harp player u emt at a neighbros party i read on fb
not done yet but just got nbt
time for bed.. night all
i really do wish i could benefit from music therapy.it sounds wonderful
not at all, cos
jilli - no, I haven't,but I will later,. Where does one find the latest icon theme now?
right in my bio, jac, and in sprite's.
oh ok.. but yeah.. i think its an amazing thing.. too bad i cant benefit from ti
yes, cos -- very sorry about that
very nice story, jilli! (i do a little music myself)
but at least i wont know wha t im missing out on lol
So I see, jilli. Last time I looked at sprite's I couln't see it.
Jillibus, that's so interesting. We had a neighbour who played the harp, and DD and I would pass the house on our evening dog-walk, always stop to listen. Sometimes she held 'evenings' when neighbours would drop in for tea & cookies.
ro5/16 please?
you see, I'm wondering why sprite and I bother with icon themes any more -- there is so little interest. It was such a rewarding side dish to Babble when others participated -- I know, poeple don't have time, etc etc but they used to...
A naughty guy.
ro5, female character from X-Men!
thanks gwen thsat did the trick
flute playing makes me think of Jethro Tull, a band from the 50s/70s tht jilli probably wouldn't like. But it was the fae band of a man who died before his time, a man that I knew for many years.
and ty christine :)
yw
8-D
jilli - I've always gone my own way, as you know, but I've no objection to themes if they suit my mood (and don't encroach on anythig I'm writing for money). I'd just lost track of where to find the themes!
Thanks, Christine. I keep looking at others' icons in the hope that I will learn something about the theme, but seldom find a follower -- although there are other interesting stories. People seem to find the time to change their writeups and icons, but ignore the themes we could all share. To each his/her own, and I guess I should just shut up about it.
se5 the first?
jilli - I'd write all about it, but these days I need to get paid for writing all about it. Sorry that I can't be so free with the info,
cos - sounds like you're watching a movie!
se5 = s + ep4, a really big movie (or poem)
se 5/14: somone drained out my se*t** tank cosdem.
thanks again jac/gwen
y/w cosdem.
Jac, Sprite always posts themes -- a long list into the future as long as people have suggested them -- so few do now that she does most herself. New ideas are always welcome. Since she is in a very different time zone from North America's, I copy her current list for the people here. But who cares?
jilli - I haen't forgotten about ringing you, btw. We just need to earn enough money to even consider paying for callls right now. Food and bills come first!
jacula, have you heard of skype? nearly free to call anywhere in the world using your puter
jilli - I care! wish Sprite hadn't been so self-effacing eitherm and just told me same.
gmail has free calls as well
helloooo, i'm back. didja miss me?
Gwen yes, I got Skype then lost it Need to find it again so I can see my only niece on film from Canada!
No prob, jac -- I understand. Even though we have universal medical care, a lot of things are not covered and I've been whacked with a bunch of big bills -- big to an old widow on a small fixed income, at least.
how can you lose a whole website??? lol
jilli - xxx
(((jac)))
Gwen - when you get a nw pc with a son that wipes everything, it's not hard to lose far more than a whole website.
an7 please?
hmmm, i'm guessing you're not comfortable downloading software, then?
an7, an + kan***oo, hopping animal + 2 vowels
Roman version of email, cos.
Jillibus - I sometimes think of changing my icon, but (for some reason) when I do, it takes two or three days fot the thing to take ??? You'll notice I'm still celebrating New Year.
te5/16 pl?
thanks!
Gwen - I never download anything willy nilly.
One of the bills recently, btw, was because of my using the cell phone while in the hospital and a t home because I couldn't get to the landline quickly. The December bill was $234 because of 6 long distance calls of a few minutes each, plus a few local ones. Out bloody rageous.
thats ridiculous!
te5, te + seventh letter + *S*, america
jilli - I bloody agree!
te5 = te + my initial + two other different vowels
ty
Canada has the worst cell phone system in the world, and I'm not making that up. So stupid.
i'm not scared of skype but i *AM* scared of getting ripped a new one my a cell company -- thus no cell phone here
I'm going to get off to bed now. It's 4 in the morning an once more the dawning... has reminded me that going to ed earlier is a much better idea if you want to get things done next day.
i use pay as you go.
night jacs
i use pay as you go too...unlimted data plan 25.00 month...
so4/6?
comes with 300 minutes too but i dont need it.
virgin mobile.
so4, so + cell **one
I'd like my d and b keys to have worke before I went to sleep, but never mind. My friends are kind and know what I am trying to say.
TO: freshman, so.., junior, senior...
i can use all around the world with no roaming. 19.99 for 2 hours, 90m days
sadly, i realized too late i could use to call uk
I had a cell phone contract called "Small Talk" because I only wanted it in case of emergency -- for $15/month + tax I'm allowed 50 minutes/month. I think I may have gone over by about 20 minutes that month, but got ripped off for "air time", whatever that means.
ty
so 4/6 is beginning of your second year of highschool
i dont need an iphone or anything like that because all the applications i can get on my kindle fire too :) so why bother
i have a land line but i never call out on it cuz the phone co overbills me (imo) so everyone i call i use skype
I must look farther in to skype.
the first co6 please?
Jillibus - I use my cell phone mostly for calling for a cab, when I'm away from home, so I have a prepaid setup, I found it is less expensive.
skype is wonderful .. and oovoo is better i think because you can have 3-4 way phone calls for free as well
co6, co + your backside
cos -- you have far more choice than we do -- as I said, we have the worst system in the world according to authorities.
The co6/21 describes something that's rough cosdem
ah yes i keep forgetting .. not sure if oovoo is available in canada...
thanks min and granny :)
never heard of it, cos
its like skype but you can have 3 way conversations. i dont know if skype has that feature.
yw
C's done.
I must go and load the dishwasher -- back in a bit -- not trying to finish here
skype can do more than 2 people -- i did it once, don't remember how it worked though -- was a few years ago
Cool Cosdem!
ci 5 pls? ty
ah thanks gwen.. i didnt know if they had that. i havent used it in a few years. i use oovoo for the msot part.. and yahoo messenger
ci5, ci + ***r, someone who tells fibs
ci5, little bitty hairs (scientific term)
ci + someone who doesnt tell the truth, minus last letter
snap rose
ah ha i see what you did there min :)
ty cos i swore i tried that
speaking of icon themes, when is Dalek day? lol
whewm cos, was beginning to think i was invisible....haven't been here for nearly2 weeks, and when i said hello, nobody noticed. ( boohoo)
lol i thought i said hi! im sorry :(
welcome back. how was it?
absolutely bloody awesome!!!!!
aw im glad!
met up with kiwi and her other half, had the best time in wellington. what a woman!
ah she mentioned that in the chog.. sounds like a wonderful time
then when we sailed into fiordland, i just stoood there on the top deck, with te5 pouring down my face. it was so majestic and incredibly beautiful
im jealous. i really need to do soemthing like that at least once
despite my fear of water lol
do it cos. my other half bucked at the idea, and guess who is now hooked on cruising? i swear it's the best way to holiday.
wow just monkeyed the ep7.. werid word
yeah... im thinking maybe the disney cruises lol
yay cos
cos, start small and reasonably local if you can. then build up gradually....our next will probably be a 30 day cruise around ozland.
i'll wait til Jan 2013 to think about it because we may not even have a world by then lol.. i kid. i kid...
go6?
speaking of kids..... how's the ciggies going, or not?
go6, reptile
still smoking sadly but not as much.. a lot less....
a reptile? gecko? lol
well done, cos. i'm now 196 days post.
must be a common australiain reptile that we 'murricans have never heard of . . .
go6, go + girl's name
like a lizard, sort of
lol gwen :)
aha, found it, TY granny!
hmm aww wtg gwen.. hmmmm
hmmm, still never heard of it, gwen?
cos, the last 4 letters are an actual word on the word list, too, if that helps
granny, you are right. i mean, the word sounds familiar, but did not know that is it a reptile
ah thanks got it now
no idea it was a reptile either ;) tyvm
yay to you both
that online dictionary says it's australian, HA!
lol :)
well i'll be on both sides, really???? did not know that.
i live in michigan, and we don't see wild reptiles much. plenty of little fuzzy critters though
still, what would i know, i only live here. LOL
oh wow... 12 left.. didnt realize
little fuzzy critters, NZ has a possum explosion happening, over there they are allowed to shoot them. they use the fur for lots of things.
i once saw a wild turtle. or, maybe it was not wild, could have been an escaped pet
where is tasmania located?
possum fur socks, nipple warmers, and wait for it.....willie warmers. never laughed so much in my life,
how could a turtle escape? :)
if i had a turtle and it escaped i could prob find it in the living room the next day lol
cos, south of victoria, across Bass Strait
we got possum, rabbit, squirrel, chipmunk, groundhog, skunk, raccoon, mice, bats, but -- and this is the Wolverine State -- no wolverines
i wonder if anyone here has seen a tasmanian devil?
in the cartoons!
we have foxes, bats, hawks, vultures, moose, reindeer, bobcats, possums, rats, mice and raccoon in our neighborhood
Tasmania is that isalnd on the sort of southeast corner of Aus, cos. Don't you have an atlas?
yup, sure have. in tassie they are mostly seen in the wildlife parks, in the wild, they are pretty shy
perhaps the turtle was turned loose when it got too big for its owner. this turtle was HUGE -- about 5 inches long LOL
i have a funny story.. when i first went visited tucson, az i saw a bird i never saw.. i asked myf riend what bird that was.. i said i thought they were big. my friend says thats the cartoons!
jill yes i do but i dont wanna get up and look it up
foxes! cool.
cos, you are on the web. go to wikipedia for gosh sake 8-)
No comment, cos
yeah but its easier to ask here instead of opening a website lol
oh that bird i saw in az was a road runner
i have heard that we still have foxes around here but i have not seen one in ages
*shakes head* typical male...some things never change, do they?
one word, cos: tabs
im usuing expert. no websites open gwen lol
foxes here, too, gwen.actually have them in the middle of our suburbs.
they look like my dog here so its scary sometimes
the story of a city kid from Detroit, went out in the country for a few days, say a possum standing on its hind legs looking in through the screen door, and the kid said, holy crap, that's the biggest rat i've ever seen!
theyre ugly!
LOLOLOL, gwen
say = saw (OY)
well, i have 47 to go and must fly, other things to do before beddie-bye time
fireworks!
possum story....hubby camping with kids, hears noise from food tent in middle of the night. turns on torch, and there, transfixed in the light is a possum, whole rockmelon in its paws, both cheeks bulging.
WTG COS!!!!
103 left..need to brush up on vocabulary
raccoon story: when i was a camp counselor 3 years ago around the camp fire a raccoon walked up and sat in the circle with us.it was hilarious. he became the official mascot. they still use his picture! We called him "Rob"
lol, cos, what a hoot!
we were sitting and talking.. then we all stopped like something was watching us...
there he was.. just watching .. turning his heads back and forth to whoever was talking
he did this every night for the duration of camp.. we looked for him next year but couldnt find him :(
amazing!
but none of us would dare touch him
cool story cos!!!! love it
lol.... i forgot i finished.. i kept entering words
should hope not, have heard tell that they can be a tad testy
clue for the 10, please?
ra5 + sc5
be back at flip
sc5?
hi all.. thanks for the 10!
Monday night a raccoon attacked one of the people my husband works with.
A raccoon came into my kitchen through the cat door and gobbled my Susiecat's food. I moved her dish to the other end of the house and put one of those boot-scraper brush things which looked like a raccoon on the stairs it had used to declare it another raccoon's territory. Haven't seen one since.
(should have put a comma between "used" and "to"
